It was 14 years ago, October 15, 2011, I beat stage 4 breast cancer without chemotherapy.
Dr. Payan saved my life October 15 2011, only a year after UCLA gave me months to live.
If I had believed UCLA when they said there was nothing else that could be done and that I had only months to live with cancer spreading to all lobes of my lungs and that I needed to focus on getting my affairs in order, I wouldn’t be here. ( I am not a quitter)
I know many people in the last 14 years who did not believe anything would work when chemo was not an option for me. And I had many people -including my dad who was fighting cancer at the same time I was who understood my faith in God and my will to keep trying other approaches.
I don’t have that quitting nature, I had nothing to lose to try everything available and even though in 2011.
When some loved ones thought it was crazy of me to leave the US and go to Mexico to seek out something else- an alternative that was healthier – I made a decision that saved my life.
