On an Ecological Pilgrimage, Dianne Whelan Has Become the First Person to Complete the Trans Canada Trail.

STORY By Simone Paget.

Dianne Whelan is an award-winning Canadian filmmaker, photographer, author and public speaker. For six years, the filmmaker hiked, biked, paddled, snowshoed and skied on the Trans Canada Trail, from the Atlantic to the Pacific and north to the Arctic.

Here’s what she saw and learned along the way.

30 JUNE, 2021 Canadian Dianne Whelan completes an epic six-year solo journey across the Trans Canada Trail.

Ms. Whelan will complete her journey on August 1st by paddling through British Columbia Montreal, June 30, 2021

On July 1, award-winning B.C.-based filmmaker and multimedia artist Dianne Whelan will begin the final leg of a monumental trip across the world’s longest recreational trail, the Trans Canada Trail,  which connects the Atlantic, Arctic and Pacific oceans. Whelan will begin her final paddle of 500 km in Vancouver on Canada Day and is expected to arrive in Victoria on August 1. The Trans Canada Trail is the world’s longest network of multi-use recreational trails, stretching more than 27,000 km and showcasing Canada’s diverse landscapes and cultures.

Since beginning her journey in Newfoundland in 2015, Whelan has hiked, mountain bike, snowshoed, cross-country skied, and, for close to 7,000 km, paddled a canoe. For most of it, she has travelled solo, while simultaneously writing and filming an independent documentary about the experience, titled 500 Days in the Wild.

What makes Dianne’s perspective unique, in today’s world, is that this journey is not about the challenge or the athletic achievement. Instead, she describes the journey as an ecological pilgrimage to honor the land and the water, and to pay respect to Indigenous peoples.

“I am an artist of settler descent. My mother is Acadian with ancestral roots on this land that go back to the 1600s and my father is a Newfoundlander whose ancestors arrived from Ireland in the early 1800s,” said Dianne Whelan. “On this journey, I wanted to pay my respect to Indigenous people on this land whose ancestors date back 10,000 years.

I was taught there is no word for forgiveness in the Mi’kmaq language, the literal translation of the word means, to make things right.

I hope what I have carried in my heart on this journey and the art made from it will be a ripple on those healing waters.”

Whelan’s goal was to search for the wisdom needed to protect the Earth for future generations.

A book and a film, both under the title 500 Days in the Wild, will chronicle her journey and are expected to be released in 2023 and 2024 respectively.

“As the national ribbon that connects Canada’s diverse landscapes, seasons, people and experiences, the Trans Canada Trail is a fitting backdrop for Dianne Whelan’s personal journey,” says Eleanor McMahon, President & CEO, Trans Canada Trail. “There is an incredible richness of knowledge that Indigenous communities can impart, as they have stewarded these lands for thousands of years.

We share Dianne’s commitment to honoring Indigenous peoples, developing and sustaining reciprocal relationships based on respect, dignity, trust and cooperation. And we commend her courage, perseverance and adventurous spirit in traversing the Trail from coast to coast to coast. She is an inspiration to us all, and we thank her for sharing her journey.”

The final paddle of Dianne’s journey will take her through traditional territories of the Coast Salish People and the following locations: Vancouver ~ West Vancouver~ Squamish First Nation ~ Horseshoe Bay ~ Bowen Island ~ Keats Island ~ Gibsons ~ Roberts Creek~ Sechelt ~ Sechelt First Nation ~ Halfmoon Bay~ Texada Island ~ Lasqueti Island ~ Parksville ~ Lantzville ~ Nanoose First Nation ~ Nanaimo ~ Snuneymuxw First Nation ~ Gabriola Island ~ Penelakut Tribe ~ Saltspring Island ~ Sidney ~ Tseycum First Nation ~ Victoria.

“It’s been a long journey—6 years. So, I know it’s time for it to end.” As an author and documentarian, “that’s a long time to be in production!” she laughs.

However, Whelan knows she’ll miss it when it’s over. “The trail became home,” she says. At some point, she stopped feeling like she was in nature, but rather was with nature. “When you’re out here, you’re not in the world that we created, but you’re in a world that created us,” she says.

It was this desire to reconnect with the land that inspired her pilgrimage. When she left, she felt she was no longer living in a society but merely an economy. “I really thought that everything we needed to know we had forgotten as a culture, we’ve lost our connection to the web of life and to the future.” So, she set out in search of hope, wisdom and a better understanding of how we can move forward together to protect the earth for future generations.

Embarking on a solo journey of this magnitude has been humbling. Whether you’re on the waters of Lake Superior or deep in the woods on a fur trader trail in Quebec, she says, “it’s a very grounding experience to be in nature alone for weeks at a time. You have to accept that no one will rescue you. If things go sideways, you have to accept the responsibility to save yourself.”image.png

That isn’t to say that there weren’t physical challenges along the trail.

However, once she gave into the experience,  “it was like something ancient woke up in my DNA and I felt more connected to life than I ever have and suddenly I wasn’t paddling on the water, I was paddling with the water. I wasn’t on the earth, walking, I was part of her.”

Whelan, who’s in her 50s, says she is still waiting for the buff athlete to spring from her body, “because it hasn’t happened yet!” she jokes. But she is okay taking her time. Completing the Trans Canada Trail has never been about athletic achievement for her, but rather honouring the land, the water, and paying respect to the First Nations peoples of Canada. “For me, it’s not about the fastest way. It’s always been about what is the most meaningful way,” she says.

Whelan says the trail “has profoundly changed my understanding of the word ‘sacred’. Nature is sacred to me and the old growth cedar trees are my cathedral.” We need clean water, air and food to survive, she has realized. “And I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to protect those things” she says.image.png

She’s come to see the trail as a symbol of how the land connects us all.

“If you’re alive today, you can trace your ancestry back to the beginning of human time … It doesn’t matter if you’re conservative, liberal or NDP, it doesn’t matter what culture you’re from. We are connected by the land and the water because we all live on the same planet,” she says.

For Whelan, the important journeys are the ones that happen here on earth—not the flights of billionaire astronauts. Besides, she says, “I don’t want to live on Mars. There are no butterflies on Mars.”

“The water is sacred, the air is sacred, because it’s what we need to survive—and not just us, but all the birds, animals, the fish and everything.” It’s because of this that “we all have the shared responsibility of protecting it all for future people.”

Whelan found hope in the indigenous communities she spent time in. They reminded her, she says, that “we are tomorrow’s ancestors.” When it comes to finding a way to live on the planet sustainably, “it’s all about bringing traditional indigenous wisdom and science and technology to work together.”

Whelan—a woman who has quite literally forged her own trail—encourages other people searching for hope and faith to ask themselves, “what is the most meaningful way to move forward?” and to be led by their hearts. As she points out, “your heart knows your purpose. Your heart knows why you’re here.”

Lastly, when in doubt, she says, drop into nature to find yourself. In an affirmation that has followed her through her journey, she reflects: “Solitude reveals what a mirror cannot.”      Top Scenic Trans-Canada Train Trips (With Maps)

The award-winning filmmaker completed the majority of the expedition solo.

Dianne Whelan will soon become the first person to complete The Great Trail.

By J.D. SIMKINS  – July 26, 2021

Dianne Whelan is expected to pull her canoe onto the shore of Victoria, British Columbia, on Aug. 1, the long-awaited culmination of a 17,000-mile journey along the seemingly interminable route known throughout North America as The Great Trail.

The award-winning filmmaker’s remarkable expedition, the majority of which she completed solo, began in Newfoundland in 2015. Over the six years that followed, Whelan cross-country skied, snowshoed, mountain bike, hiked & canoeing through Canada’s vast and unforgivable network of plains, lakes, and forests that form a bridge between the Arctic, Atlantic, and Pacific oceans.

Whelan’s historic trek will subsequently become the subject of an upcoming book and documentary of the same name, which she produced. 500 Days in the Wild is a story of trading in the rigors of society for the natural world, honoring its Indigenous people, and pursuing inclusivity and environmental awareness.

The herculean project comes on the heels of Whelan’s award-winning documentaries This Land, which chronicles an expedition to Canada’s northernmost peninsula, and 40 Days at Base Camp, A story of one team’s pursuit of the Mt. Everest summit while analyzing the impact of climate change on the world’s highest peak.

The final leg of Whelan’s journey, meanwhile, a 300-mile paddle she launched earlier this month from Vancouver, will take her through territories steeped in the cultural history of the Coastal Salish People, including the Squamish, Sechelt, Nanoose, Snuneymuxw, and Tseycum First Nations, “people on this land whose ancestors date back 10,000 years,”

Whelan said in a release.

Whelan had her sights set on acknowledging the history of wrongs committed against Canada’s Indigenous peoples from the moment she stepped off in 2015 from Newfoundland, one of the country’s Atlantic Provinces where approximately 60,000 people identify as members of the Mi’kmaq First Nations.

“I was taught there is no word for forgiveness in the Mi’kmaq language, the literal translation of the word means ‘to make things right,’” she said. “I hope what I have carried in my heart on this journey and the art made from it will be a ripple on those healing waters.”

500 Days in the Wild official Instagram account will document the final stretch of Whelan’s journey, while the book and film (of the same name) are expected to be released in 2023 and 2024, respectively.

“The purpose of 500 Days in the Wild is to inspire reverence for this Earth again,”

Whelan said in a release. “A new mindset; a journey of reconciliation—learning, listening, and letting go. At its very heart, that’s what this film is all about.”

I will let you listen to it for yourself, but they talk about a coming “October surprise”.

For those familiar with politics, you know an October Surprise is a common thing in election years, as campaigns try to pull a fast one at the last minute with some big surprise that changes everything right before the election.

Well…..Amanda Grace says an October Surprise is coming, but this one will be brought about by God himself and it will not end well for Biden.

Why does Biden keep talking as if COVID-19 vaccines don’t work?
Christopher Tremoglie

When President Biden announced his intention to require workers to be vaccinated, he made a peculiar statement. It could have been another Biden malapropism, but if it wasn’t, Biden’s comment is telling. “We’re going to protect vaccinated workers from unvaccinated co-workers,” Biden said. “We’re going to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by increasing the share of the workforce that is vaccinated in businesses all across America.”

Biden’s statement is illogical. The entire point of the vaccine is to protect people from getting COVID-19. Except the vaccine is supposed to shield people from the virus. Yet based on what Biden said, it could be inferred that the vaccine does not work. His stated intention to “protect vaccinated workers from unvaccinated workers” defies what the experts have been advising from the beginning. If everyone must be vaccinated to protect those who already received their vaccination, how effective are the vaccines?

There is no precedent for such a ridiculous statement. President Truman did not urge New Yorkers to get the smallpox vaccine in 1947 by saying those who were not vaccinated were a threat to those who were. In 1955, President Eisenhower didn’t tell people who received the polio vaccines they needed to be protected from those who were not vaccinated. Such a statement would have brought panic and confusion.

“This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated,” Biden has declared. That was true — but then why is it the vaccinated who supposedly need protection? Not only are such statements wrong, but they are actually dangerous. Biden’s rhetoric does nothing but lend credence to the very thing he seeks to remedy — vaccine skepticism. Vaccines do work, and everyone should get them. The quicker everyone does, the faster life returns to normal. However, implanting the idea that for the vaccinated to be protected, it requires the unvaccinated to get shots is just fear mongering and misinformation.

Why Push A Vaccine After One Year If You Haven’t Gotten Covid 19.

Colorado coroner Brenda Bock questioned Covid-19 death count.

The following is a news analysis.
This week on Full Measure, I investigate the way states counted and, sometimes, miscounted Covid deaths.

Watch the Full Measure investigation here.
I started my research in Grand County, Colorado where the coroner, Brenda Bock, had flagged a murder-suicide that somehow ended up on the state’s Covid death count.
That wasn’t the only eyebrow raising example.
One thing Bock and other coroners who discovered such anomalies couldn’t figure out was who, exactly, was calling the shots.
Who was it who, apparently, aggressively sought out the name of any deceased person– even before the death certificate was signed– cross-referencing the name against a database of positive Covid tests, and adding the death to the list of Covid deaths even when it may have had nothing to do with Covid?

To try to get more information, I filed a simple public records request for information in Colorado. State law requires the information to be provided within three days.
Many weeks later, Colorado Public Health officials were unlawfully ignoring the request, as well as my many follow up queries. Likewise, when I reached out to other state officials for assistance in making sure public records law was followed, those contacts were also ignored. This included multiple outreach to the governor’s office and numerous state health authorities.
Finally, I hired a lawyer to pursue the records request. This is too often the outcome at the federal level, as well. Public officials treat the documents and materials that they collect on our behalf, that we own and have a right to see, as if they are their own proprietary private property to be withheld at will.
These officials know that for members of the public and press to hire a lawyer is expensive and time-consuming; suing in court over a public records violation even more so. And these officials know there is almost never any punishment or repercussion when they break the law and improperly withhold records.

My lawyer shook loose some of the documents, which you can read here.
One of the outrages, though, is that Colorado improperly blacked out its communications with other states, such as California and New York, when it came to talking about the Covid death count.
It appears Colorado officials also failed to turn over many documents that we know would likely exist discussing various matters and complaints related to the Covid death count.
But one small sliver of information Colorado did turn over shows that health officials were none too happy with Brenda Bock, the Grand County coroner who was questioning the state’s death count methodology.
In an email, Ron Engels — at the time, a Gilpin County Commissioner — wrote the head of Colorado’s health department Jill Ryan, and alerted her about Bock’s questions (immediately determining, apparently, that they were political in nature). Engels is “involved with several state agencies, including the State Board of Health… and the Coroner’s Training and Standards Board.”

Engels forwards Ryan the query Bock had sent to the state coroners’ association in which Bock asked about standing up to “get the practice” of miscounting Covid deaths “stopped.”
“…someone might want to look into the situation before it becomes a media circus.”
Ron Engels re: Bock’s questions about Colorado’s Covid-19 death count
Engels tells Ryan that “somebody might want to look into the situation before it becomes a media circus.”
Ryan responds by explaining that it’s a “nuanced” situation and “This is routinely how death surveillance is conducted.”
Engels answers back. “[I]t sounds like x ok conservative Coroner Bock is thinking of creating a media stink. Maybe someone from [Colorado Coroners Association] could make an attempt to explain what you did below before there is yet another thing the naysayers can grab onto?”

Ryan offers to speak to the coroners’ group. Engels signs off with,
“Thanks for all your support during my political career.”

If you feel like your losing everything

Sowell, one of the most brilliant men of the last century

I felt safe in Trump’s America. Biden’s America is the beginning of the apocalypse.

Not only safe, but the US was on course to right things with allies who were taking advantage of the US taxpayer, with China who we all were waiting for the US govt to push back, among others. Clearly Trump was making America great once again. Rising inflation, exploding crime, rule by decree. The Biden cult is already ending badly. America’s first and oldest ally was France. They just recalled their ambassador, hopefully it’s not an omen.

My take: This is a deliberate attempt to weaken our military by globalists. Capitalism is a dog eat dog world. There’s nothing pretty about it but it’s the best system there is…  It never ceases to amaze me that People think business & capitalism has to be fair & just in every way according to their approval. Life isn’t fair. It’s a cruel world.  Some ‘splainin’ for you. Life is life. People are fair or unfair to each other. We all get to choose.  Crony capitalism is what it is and I don’t agree with that, but stop pretending they shouldn’t fucking turn a profit. That’s stupid. You don’t wanna work for free. Why should they?

Y’all really expect a company to put up billions of dollars to create medication’s & put up all of that risk & not have a liability waiver?

One side effect & one death could absolutely bankrupt them & then none of us would have any medication at all to take. If you want drug companies to work for free then we just won’t have any medication at all to take.

When you take the medication you assume the risk. Because every medication has risks.   We have to fight the mandates because that’s unconstitutional. But the mandates have nothing to do with the drug companies. Two separate things.

They brought a vaccine to market in record-breaking time. Whether you like the vaccine or not is IRRELEVANT . They did their job and they got paid. That’s how the world works.  Every medication comes with a warning label. Every vaccine comes with a pamphlet listing the risk involved. If you choose to accept those risks, then that is all 100% on you. You can also say NO and refuse to take it

What do you want me to explain next? That water is wet.

Global Warming is the Forever War that gives the Central Planners an excuse to tax, spend, and order the little people around forever.  Most people don’t understand the fundamentals of economics and are unable to see what central planning is, and much less, where it leads and what happens once applied. FDA experts have unexpectedly voted against approving Covid-19 vaccination boosters for anyone over the age of 16 in the USA, citing a lack of long term data and stating that the risks do not outweigh any benefits because the Covid-19 vaccines are killing 2 people for every 1 life saved.

In a live broadcast conducted on the 17th September the Food and Drug Administration vaccine advisory committee met to debate and vote on Pfizer and BioNTech’s application to offer booster shots to the general public. The meeting lasted over 8 hours and contained some shocking revelations.

Dr. Joseph Fraiman, an emergency medicine physician in New Orleans, spoke for several minutes during the meeting and revealed that no clinical evidence exists to disprove claims that the Covid-19 vaccines are harming more people than they save.

“We need your help on the front lines, to stop vaccine hesitancy. The booster trials are large enough to find a reduction in hospitalisations.

“Without this data we the medical establishment cannot confidently call out anti-Covid-vaccine activists who publicly claim the vaccines harm more than they save, especially in the young and healthy.

“The fact we do not have the clinical evidence to say these activists are wrong should terrify us all”.

Dr Joseph Fraiman was then followed by Steve Kirsch, Executive Director of the Covid-19 Early Treatment Fund, who revealed that the Covid-19 vaccines are killing more people than they are saving.

“I’m going to focus my remarks today on the elephant in the room that nobody likes to talk about, that the vaccines kill more than they save.

“We were led to believe that the vaccines were perfectly safe but this is simply not true, for example there are four times as many heart attacks in the treatment group in the Pfizer 6 month file report, that wasn’t just bad luck.VAERS shows heart attacks happen 71 times more often following these vaccines compared to any other vaccine,”

Steve Kirsch then continued his presentation by showing a slide titled ‘Excess Death: Life ratio is UNACCEPTABLE’. The slide shows how many excess deaths were required following vaccination to save one life due to Covid-19.

“Only the VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) are statistically significant, but the other numbers are troubling.” said Steve Kirsch.

“Even if the vaccines have 100% protection, it still means we kill 2 people to save 1 life.

“Four experts did analysis using completely different non US data sources and all of them came up with approximately the same number of excess vaccine related deaths, about 411 deaths per million doses. That translates into 115,000 people having died (due to the Covid-19 vaccines).”

The Executive Director of the Covid-19 Early Treatment Fund then pointed out some serious concerns over data coming out of Israel.

“The real numbers confirm that we kill more than we save. And I would love to look at the Israel ministry of health data on the 90+ year olds where we went from a 94.4% vaccinated group to 82.9% vaccinated in the last 4 months. I

“in the most optimistic terms it means that 50% of the vaccinated people died and 0% of unvaccinated people died. Unless you can explain that to the public you cannot approve the boosters.”

Peter Marks, FDA’s top vaccine regulator, then asked committee members to examine “the totality of the evidence in order to make your recommendation for us,”.

Following the evidence they responded with a resounding no voting 16 – 2 against advising the agency to roll-out booster shots to anyone over the age of 16.

‘Vaccines’ In Sweden Getting Discarded as Covid-19 Deaths Hit Nil
2021-09-19

No matter the problem, the government always seems to think the answer is growing the government larger. This country was founded on the premise that local leadership was the answer rather than an overreaching federal government. I will remind the career politicians of that every day.

That isn’t the premise we were founded on.
Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously and accepting both of them.

You guys all do realize that we vote for people based on what party they’re in and don’t even understand what they represent? Like 99% of the votes we all cast are completely not representing what we actually want. We need to revamp the entire system and go back to the way it was. That is the problem. Sweden Keep Their Covid Strategy Localized and Non-Politicized.
The “fundamental, non-politicized ideal”: toward a new BLM coverage – Center for Journalism Ethics (wisc.edu)

When history books detail the Great Covid Plandemic, they will look fondly on Sweden for multiple reasons. They went against the grain and avoided lockdowns while every other Western nation ridiculed them and accused them of killing off their population. They embraced herd immunity as the pathway to normalcy. They achieved extremely low daily death counts, often zero, ahead of all of the nations who thought lockdowns were the way to go.
If there’s one flaw to their strategy, it’s that they’ve joined most other nations in embracing vaccinations. They’re not at the top of the list, ranking as the 38th most vaccinated in the world at 62.3% fully-vaxxed and another 20% half-vaxxed. But it seems they aren’t going much higher. Health officials are closing down vaccination facilities and tossing the injections in the garbage because the remaining people who are not jabbed appear to want to stay that way.

According to Free West Media:
The Swedish care company Doktor24 announced that they had to throw away 16 000 vaccine doses. This was because the interest in becoming vaccinated had suddenly “plunged”. Now the company is also closing its temporary vaccination center in the Slakthus area in Stockholm.

Its the younger age groups the propensity
to get vaccinated has slowed down.

Plandemic, Voter Fraud, Afghanistan: All Parts of The Great Reset.

If you still consider “conspiracy theorist” to be a pejorative, you’re not paying enough attention. What do Covid-19, 2020 (and beyond) election fraud, and our disastrous abandoning of American citizens in Afghanistan have to do with one another?
They’re all parts of the globalist plan to usher in a new era of Neo-Marxism in a depopulated world. This is The Great Reset unfolding before our eyes, and the only way we can stop it (other than through constant prayer) is to stand together and spread the truth.
Covid-19’s attachment to The Great Reset is obvious, though we continue to post about it daily. Voter fraud is a bit less obvious but nonetheless easy to recognize when we understand that people like Joe Biden, Justin Trudeau, and Emmanuel Macron are pushing to “Build Back Better” under the precepts of Neo-Marxism.

The Afghanistan betrayal in August, 2021, is harder to associate with The Great Reset, but it’s definitely just as attached. We can see this is the unwillingness of the Biden regime to extend the deadline to withdraw despite American lives put clearly in harm’s way. We can see it in the needlessly abandoned military equipment that was conspicuously left intact; disabling a Black Hawk takes minutes but they were given to the Taliban in pristine working condition. Then, there’s the pallets of hundred dollar bills left for them. If you think all of this was just irresponsible governance, you probably think Barack Obama is out of politics, too.
Weakening America’s standing in the world and empowering the Chinese Communist Party and others to engage fully with our enemies in a globalist cabal are beneficial to the architects of The Great Reset, and both happened in one fell swoop in August. Time is short. As the world spirals towards The Great Reset, the need for truthful journalism has never been greater.

You Are the Light Inside My Heart.

After 169 hospitals, a dad finally got the Covid-19 care he needed —
and changed dozens of skeptics’ minds

September 18, 2021 10:04 pm
By Holly Yan, C.N.N.

Every breath Robby Walker takes is one that almost didn’t happen. Just a few weeks ago, the Florida father of six was on a ventilator with Covid-19 pneumonia in both lungs. Like most Americans hospitalized with Covid-19, Walker was not vaccinated.
“He is in dire need of an ECMO treatment, which is not available at the hospital that he is in,” his wife Susan Walker told CNN in August.
ECMO treatment uses an external machine that can function as the body’s heart and lungs.
It can be used for organ transplant patients, victims of severe heart attacks and seriously ill Covid-19 patients — including young adults.
But “all the beds are taken up by Covid victims also getting ECMO treatment,”
Susan Walker said at that time. “So now we’re desperately searching outside of the state just for a hospital to take him.”

What happened next stunned the Walkers, saved Robby’s life and may have spared countless other families from suffering.

The virus ‘spread like wildfire.’

No one knows exactly when or where Robby Walker got infected.
“We believe it happened over the Fourth of July weekend,” Susan said.
A relative and friend came to visit, and family festivities included several outings — including to an indoor restaurant.

But no one in the family was vaccinated.
Susan had tested positive for Covid-19 in December and assumed her antibodies would protect her.
Others in the family were concerned about whether they might get long-term side effects from the vaccines — even though doctors say the most severe side effects in vaccine history have all been identified within two months.
And the family had a false sense of security because more businesses were fully reopening.
“Our state had opened up. Less people were wearing masks, thinking things were going back to normal,” Susan said.

“We let our guard down … and then we were blindsided.”
Within a few days, Robby developed a fever and tested positive for Covid-19.
Shortly afterward, 11 other family members and friends went on a boat trip.
All 11 of them became infected, Susan said.

“It spread like wildfire,” she said.
Susan did not get sick this summer. But she says her son, her brother-in-law, her cousin and her cousin’s fiancée all got Covid-19.
Two months later, Susan’s 51-year-old brother-in-law still struggles to breathe normally — frequently coughing and fighting to catch his breath, she said.

But it was her 52-year-old husband who suffered the most.
The fever had progressed to pneumonia in both lungs, and he was rushed to an emergency room.
On July 25, Robby called his wife from his hospital bed and told her he had made a gut-wrenching decision.

“He had signed the papers to be intubated,” Susan said.
Some Covid-19 patients who get put on ventilators don’t survive the disease.
Their final calls to their families before intubation are their last.
“He cried and just told me how regretful he was of not getting the shot,”
Susan said. “And he begged me to go get vaccinated.”

image.png
She did. She also started a cross-country mission to save her husband’s life.

Striking out after 169 hospitals in several states.
Ten days after Robby was intubated, a doctor told Susan her husband most likely “was not going to make it out of the hospital.”
“When they told me he was dying, I just didn’t accept it,” she said.
Susan asked about the possibility of a lung transplant but learned the waiting list for lungs is extensive due to the surge of Covid-19 patients, she recalled.
Another option was ECMO: extracorporeal membrane oxygenation.
ECMO can sometimes be used as a last resort for critically ill Covid-19 patients — removing blood from the body, eliminating carbon dioxide and adding oxygen to the blood, and then pumping the blood back into the body so the real heart and lungs might have a chance to recover. But with Florida’s recent influx of hospitalized Covid-19 patients,
ECMO availability for Robby was scarce to nonexistent.

“We have searched every hospital from the south of Florida to the north part of Florida,” Susan said in early August.
So family members created a list of hospitals to call and see if anyone had ECMO availability.
Susan started the search by Googling “ECMO hospitals in Florida.”
Then Georgia. Louisiana. Alabama. Virginia.
The family called 169 hospitals. No one was able to take Robby.
The day after exhausting that list, Susan appeared on CNN — fearing Robby might be out of options. But a doctor in Connecticut saw her interview and had an idea.

A risky 1,200-mile journey:
Dr. Robert Gallagher was checking his Facebook feed and saw a CNN post with a video clip of Susan’s interview.

“I just clicked on it and watched it and … it was pretty compelling,” said Gallagher, chief of cardiothoracic surgery at Trinity Health of New England.
Cardiothoracic surgeons operate on diseases in the chest, including in the heart and lungs.
By the time Covid-19 patients reach Gallagher, they’re usually in dire condition — and sometimes in need of ECMO.

He forwarded Susan’s interview to the chief perfusionist, who runs the ECMO machines, and decided to try to get Robby Walker to Connecticut. Within a few hours, Susan was on the phone with the hospital — where the coveted ECMO treatment and a staffed bed were available.
But the journey from Florida to Connecticut was arduous. Robby was intubated, and placed on a specially equipped medical flight.
Susan was not allowed to fly with him, so she drove 22 hours to Connecticut, hoping her husband would still be alive when she got there.
“It was kind of my Hail Mary because if I would have not taken the chance, they just would have had no choice but to leave him there and have his organs fail one by one,” Susan said.
Robby survived the 1,200-mile journey and started ECMO treatment at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. Gallagher was there to help treat him.
“We put the tubes in — they’re called cannulas. One tube drains the blood out, usually from the leg,” the doctor said.
“And then (the blood) gets reinfused through the ECMO machine through, usually, the jugular vein, back into the area around the heart.”

It was a shocking sight for Susan.
“When I walked into the hospital room to see two tubes 20 feet long, holding his blood outside of his body — the sight of that was like,
‘Oh, Lord, what have I done?’” she said.
Robby spent 22 days on ECMO, and Susan spent as much time with him as she could.
She got to know the family of a nearby Covid-19 patient who was younger than Robby. That patient soon died.
“I sit in the hospital room and I just listen to, you know, the door next to Robby,” she said. “The family comes in, screaming and crying. I cry. It’s just devastating.”
Then on September 2, Robby Walker was taken off ECMO treatment. His heart and lungs were able to support him again. It appeared the father of six would survive — thanks largely to the doctor who stumbled upon Susan’s interview and decided to help.
If not for Gallagher, “I’d probably be sitting in front of a tombstone,” Susan said.
ECMO treatment does not guarantee survival, Gallagher said. At his hospital, about 50% to 60% of Covid-19 patients who go on ECMO survive.
But without ECMO, he said, Robby Walker probably would not have survived.

From vaccine hesitant to vaccine insistent.
Robby Walker lost 50 pounds while he was hospitalized with Covid-19. After weeks of muscle erosion, the formerly sturdy construction business owner who exercised at the gym daily now struggles to stand up. “We just started physical therapy this week,” Robby said Thursday. “I can already tell the difference from last week.”
He got emotional when he talked about how hard Susan and other family members worked to find life-saving treatment for him.
“I couldn’t be more proud of her,” Robby said, crying. “She’s my hero.”
He also credited Gallagher and the chief perfusionist for making his recovery possible.
And now that he can talk again, Robby has made one request abundantly clear, Susan said:“My husband has decided when we get home … if you’re not vaccinated, you’re not going to come around him.”

Robby said he’s concerned about the possibility of getting infected again.
“We’ve talked about putting a sign on the front door: ‘If you’re not vaccinated, you can’t come in. We’ll talk on the yard,’” Robby said.
He’d also prefer visitors to wear masks. Because his lungs are scarred, he might not be able to handle another illness well — whether it’s Covid-19, the flu or any other virus.
The family’s ordeal has inspired at least 60 friends, family and colleagues to get the Covid-19 vaccine, Susan said.
April Torri and her husband were “not anti-vaxxers,” she said. But they were concerned after a family friend’s relative started trembling a week after her vaccination in March. Torri said that the family believes it was the result of the vaccination, though the cause is not certain.
“My husband and I said, ‘No, we’re not (getting vaccinated). We don’t know about it. It’s not going to happen,” said Torri, a friend of Robby’s and an employee at Susan’s real estate title business.

“We were a ‘no no no no no no.’
And then Robby happened. It made us think twice.”

image.png
And since Robby was hospitalized, two lifelong friends from their hometown of Clermont, Florida, died from Covid-19, Torri said.

Both were under age 50. Neither was vaccinated.
A 46-year-old friend died earlier this month. “It shook me,” Torri said. “I had just seen her a few weeks ago. It definitely took her very fast.”
So Torri and her husband got vaccinated. So did their 21-year-old son. “None of us have had any negative (side effects),” Torri said.
To others who are vaccine hesitant like she was before Robby fell ill, “I would say do your research,” Torri said.
“I feel like that proof is in the numbers,” she said. “For me and my family, I want to be around for a long time.”
Robby’s plight also inspired longtime friend Jo Lynn Nicholson to vaccinate her sons, now ages 14 and 17.
Nicholson had Covid-19 in December and decided to get vaccinated earlier this year.
“I didn’t know a lot about the new (Delta) variant, but I knew people were getting infected again,” she said.

But like some parents, she didn’t think she needed to vaccinate her children against Covid-19.
Then Robby’s condition rapidly deteriorated. And on the way to visit Nicholson’s elderly parents, her older son Caden started showing mild symptoms.
Shortly after the trip, Caden and both grandparents tested positive for Covid-19.“Having Robby have that Delta and then my son getting it and giving it to my parents … I just was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I can’t have what happened to Robby happen to my family or my kids.’”
She soon took her sons to get vaccinated — and not just for their own health. Nicholson wanted to minimize the risk of her children accidentally spreading the virus to others and causing a shortage of hospital resources — just like Robby faced.

With so many Covid-19 patients in hospitals, she’s particularly worried about her 17-year-old getting into a car crash. “If he got in an accident, he wouldn’t have health care … because they don’t have the room, and they don’t have the staff,” Nicholson said.
“And that scares me more than anything with my kids right now.”
Looking back, Nicholson said she has no regrets about getting her children vaccinated.
“The only regret I have is not doing it sooner,” she said. “The only thing I can do to help what’s going on right now is to get them vaccinated and just be careful.”

Why does Phoenix Rise From Ashes?

It’s a reference to a creature from Greek mythology called a Phoenix.

The legend is that when a phoenix dies it bursts into flames and then is reborn from the ashes of its predecessor. The term to rise from the ashes is used as a metaphor to mean when something new and improved is created after something is destroyed or has otherwise come to an end.

I love the way the Lord loves His children, of which I am one of them.

May I be salt and light. Jesus is coming soon! Are you ready?

Event 201 is the key ~ End times, new beginnings.

Is this the ultimate time to be alive?

One has to be blind to not see mankind is in danger from a virus and a vaccine.

Humanity is in danger, and no one is allowed to talk about it. When politicians are involved in people’s personal medical decisions it can never ends well.

That’s why socialize medicine like, Obamacare, a single-payer system, puts too much political power over a person’s medical decisions.

So this goes Way beyond COVID.

‘I believe in the science’: Sarah Palin reveals she has not had the COVID-19 vaccine because she has already contracted the virus and now has ‘natural immunity.’ Palin, 57, revealed that she has not received the COVID vaccine, saying: ‘I believe in the science and I have not taken the shot.’ Palin claims that she doesn’t need to be vaccinated because she already had COVID and ‘mother nature was creating an immunity into me.’

She referenced Fauci’s explanation that a previous COVID diagnosis provides the body with some immunity; Fauci still suggest vaccines for all.

Dr. Drew Pinsky referenced a study that a previous infection makes people ‘twenty-seven times’ less likely than vaccinated to contract the Delta variant.

The Israeli study that Pinsky cites states that antibodies from previous infection give protection against the Delta variant but ‘vaccination remains vital’ As of September 17, the US has confirmed 672,635 COVID deaths; more than 99 percent of those impacted by COVID in 2021 have been unvaccinated.

More than 177 million Americans have been fully vaccinated as of September 9
The former governor of Alaska and vice presidential candidate explained her reasoning for not getting vaccinated during her Thursday night appearance on Fox News talk show, Gutfeld!
‘I am one of those white common sense conservatives,’ she began, ‘I believe in science and I have not taken the shot.
‘I do believe in science and the Faucism of the day back then was if you’ve had COVID, I’ve had COVID, well then mother nature was creating an immunity into me.’

Dr. Drew Pinsky, who was also a guest on the show, jumped in and said that people with antibodies were ’27 times’ less likely than vaccinated to contract the Delta variant.
Pinsky was referring to a study conducted in Israel which showed that people who were previously diagnosed with COVID were much less likely to contract Delta, develop symptoms, or be hospitalized than vaccinated people who’ve never had COVID.
The CDC advises those who have had COVID-19 to still get the vaccine because research has not shown how long immunity lasts and the shot helps protect people even if they’ already been infected.
Sarah Palin, 57, revealed that she has not received the COVID vaccine, ‘I believe in the science and I have not taken the shot,’ claiming she has natural immunity because she had COVID

An article published by Science.org titled ‘Having SARS-CoV-2 once confers much greater immunity than a vaccine—but vaccination remains vital’ discusses the Israeli study.

While the study does prove the power of the human immune system, it goes on to show that people who previously had COVID and received one dose of the vaccine ‘were more highly protected against reinfection’ than people who had COVID and did not receive the shot.

The conclusion of the study did not question or dismiss the need for previously infected people to receive the vaccine entirely but suggested that those people may only be in need of one dose instead of two.

However, the CDC cited a study which found that unvaccinated people who had been previously diagnosed with COVID were 2 times more likely than vaccinated people to be reinfected.

The study conducted in the United States noted ‘the benefit of vaccination for previously infected persons.’

More than 177 million Americans have been fully vaccinated as of September 9. This number includes about 63 percent of all eligible Americans (over age 12), 65 percent of adults, and 82 percent of seniors.More than 99 percent of those impacted by COVID in 2021 have been unvaccinated.
More than 99 percent of those impacted by COVID in 2021 have been unvaccinated.

Fully vaccinated Americans have less than one in 13,000…

Moderna says people who received its Covid vaccine last year…

While Palin may not have plans to get the COVID vaccine, last month she did announce that she may be jumping back into politics with a bid for Senate in 2022.
Palin would be running against incumbent Lisa Murkowski, who has held the position since 2002 and serves as the second-most senior Republican woman in the Senate.

‘If God wants me to do it I will,’ Palin told a conservative Christian crowd on July 22 in Pasadena, California, after New Apostolic Reformation leader Ché Ahn asked her if she was planning on running for the Senate seat.

‘What I would do if I were to announce is say you know what, you guys better be there for me this time because a lot of people weren’t there for me last time and that’s why characterization-wise, I got clobbered,’ Palin said.
She also defended her decision to hand the reigns to Lieutenant Governor Sean Parnell when she resigned as governor after three years in 2009. She believed Parnell holds the same conservative values that she does and would continue her legacy.
After she and presidential candidate John McCain lost in 2008, Palin said she was inundated with ethics probes, FOIA requests and media criticism that ultimately led her to resigning as governor of Alaska.

Palin stayed out of politics and under the radar following her resignation:
The Alaska self-proclaimed ‘hockey mom’ stepped back from the limelight for several years. But appeared on Fox’s The Masked Singer in March 2020 and stumped the entire panel after performing the blatantly sexual 1992 hip hop song Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-a-Lot. Reduced Risk of Reinfection with SARS-CoV-2 After COVID-19 Vaccination.

Appearing on Gutfeld! Thursday, the former Alaska governor argued that she is making the scientifically sound decision by rejecting the inoculation received by, as of June,

more than 96 percent of U.S. doctors.

“I believe in the science and I have not taken the shot,” Palin said.

The 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate invoked Dr. Anthony Fauci as part of her argument, claiming that her natural immunity from having previously been infected with Covid-19 overrides the impact of the jab.  “The Fauci-ism of the day, back then, was if you’ve had Covid — I’ve had Covid — well then mother nature was creating an immunity,” Palin said. “And even today they say you’re 27 percent more immune—”  Dr. Drew Pinsky people who have had COVID are ‘twenty-seven times’ less likely than vaccinated to contract the Delta variant.

“Twenty-seven times,” fellow guest Dr. Drew Pinsky interjected — referencing a recent study from Israel which found previously infected people were significantly less likely than vaccinated people to contract the Delta variant. The same study concluded that those who were infected and took one dose of the Pfizer vaccine had even more infection than the previously infected unvaccinated.

“So I want to ask the questions,” Palin said.

Fauci has consistently encouraged those who have been infected with Covid to get the vaccine regardless. Official CDC guidance on the issue points to a study that shows unvaccinated people who have had Covid are twice as likely as vaccinated people to get it again.   Home | COMBATCOVID.HHS.GOV: How to join the fight against COVID-19

It’s happening everywhere…… I AGREE WITH SARAH PALIN!!

The Golden Rabbit Hole

I can’t believe people are buying the so-called variants.
I call bullshit and a way for the government to “control”.

Things that we hear pass quicker from our minds than what we read.
CDC website shows statistics that 1/2 of hospitalized COVID patients have had vaccines.
And no tests can be conducted to determine “new variant” Covid. Wtf

There are over 200 million Americans who are vaccinated, and daily cases right now are 300% higher than they were a year ago when there were ZERO people vaccinated. Fauci and the lockdowners don’t even attempt to explain this. Ask why.

A: A year ago sporting events were played without fans. Summer gatherings and concerts were cancelled. This year: We reopened because the infection numbers dropped as people were vaccinated…but surprisingly a certain segment of the population refused to get vaccinated or wear masks.

Not rocket science, That’s literally because we ended quarantine prematurely & just sent people back to work & kids to school, & so many morons refused to get vaxxed or wear masks, so COVID circulated enough to mutate into EVEN MORE contagious strains & working people are having to expose themselves, Remember how that field hospital was never actually used? The numbers are higher today with 54% of the country vaxxed! The vax leads to evolutionary pressure on the virus making variants, because the vaxes are non-sterilizing!

All viruses evolve either by mutation or recombination. The RNA gene fragments can recombine with other RNA viruses. The vax puts evolutionary pressure on the original strain and leads to a more deadly virus;  Vaccines Could Drive The Evolution Of More COVID-19 Mutants : NPR  Real quick, which group tends to have more cases and deaths per capita: vax or unvax? We will never know. The CDC put out a memo stating the United States will no longer count vaxed breakthrough cases unless they have been vented. They are now keeping track through a private program called RedCap, which the public does not have access to.

You’re playing yourself here. With 300% cases one would expect 300% deaths too. Well, that’s not the case, mainly because of the vaccine, proven by the fact most deaths BY A MASSIVE MARGIN happen on unvaccinated people.  Didn’t vax and mask and lockdown hard enough. Real Faucism has never been tried. The #MadScientist will spew “variants” until the cows come home, or he’s tried for crimes against humanity – whichever comes first.

I think the point being made is more people are being infected than before when we had lockdowns in place, so the question being presented is why were we in lockdown then, and not now? Also it is already shown the vaccine is not a sure bet.

The Delta Variant lowered the effectiveness of the Vaccine.
Look at the Vaccine impact for months prior to the variant – it clearly had a positive effect. The vaccine doesn’t completely prevent you from getting COVID and they’ve never claimed that it does. It DOES prevent serious illness and death from that infection. Doctor how did delta lower the effectiveness of the vaccine. Natural immunity is the only way out of this . All depends on for whom.

For the globalist 13 family bloodline cabal, of course all is wonderful. They are pleased that so many of us will soon die. I think the newest “rise in covid numbers” is directly from the vaccine.
There’s only been one variable – increased vaccinations. Thinking face
Why is no one talking about this? We would’ve already reached “herd immunity” by now. It keeps the virus alive. They’ll just scream “But muh Delta variant!!!” as they ignore every chart showing that mask mandates and vaccines have done nothing to slow the transmission rate or spread. It’s nothing more than yet another flu shot.

Mistakes make us human. Failures help us grow. Hope keeps us going. And love is the reason we’re alive. Keep learning, loving, and living.

Read thread please French Nobel Prize winner Luc Montagnier has recently warned that those who get Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines could experience devastating long-term consequences.  COVID-19 vaccines have devastating long-term effects, warns Nobel Prize winner (afinalwarning.com)

Because of this and because with Delta, each Infected person breathed out more than 1000 times the amount of viruses than with the original train last year.
But who cares about facts?  Only 53% are FULKY VACCINATED that is less than 174 million and Fauci and others have discussed this numerous times.

Would only matter if the vaccines were designed to prevent – according to the drug makers that is Hundred points symbol not the case.

The only benefit we know of from vaccines against covid is potential lower hospitalization and effects. The vaccines do nothing to prevent getting or passing it on: The level of protection provided by the vaccine doesn’t outweigh the other differences in society vs. one year ago. Weddings/Parties with hundreds of people. Nightly baseball games with thousands. Packed football stadiums. College campuses back up and running. You didn’t have a single gathering of tens of thousands of people anywhere last September. Last week there were dozens. If you took the measles and put it in a stadium of 80,000 people…vaccine or no vaccine, some would catch the virus.

Denmark is first in EU to lift all coronavirus restrictions – POLITICO This shot doesn’t inoculate anyone. It’s a feckless hurdle that covid will continue to jump as it mutates and gets stronger. It’s the same as antibiotic resistant bacteria. The “shot” is the problem….causing “vaccine” resistant covid strains. Natural immunity is the answer. The covid shots are not vaccines. You need to understand how they have failed to work. Vaccines inoculate you… this “shot” will never be enough no matter how many boosters you get. Then you end up with ADE (antibody dependent enhancement) eventually rendering you autoimmune.

While numerous SARS-CoV immunization studies in animal models have produced results that vary greatly in terms of protective efficacy, immunopathology, and potential ADE–depending on the vaccine strategy employed–vaccines that elicit neutralizing antibodies … against the S protein DO reliably protect animals from SARS-CoV challenge WITHOUT EVIDENCE of enhancement of infection or disease. Contrary to your claim, data from many animal model studies suggest that human immunization strategies for SARS-CoV-2 that … elicit high neutralizing antibody titers have a HIGH CHANCE OF SUCCESS, WITH MINIMAL RISK OF ADE. Can you provide evidence to back up your baseless claim? You can bring yourself up to date by checking out the animal model studies below.

Jim, have you ever looked into the connection between Fauci and his wife, who leads “bioethics” at NIH. They have never really disclosed this, most people are not aware. Does this relationship make you at all uncomfortable with decisions being made? It does me. They did disclose it though. It’s public information. She has no role in approval, testing or issuing EUAs for any vaccine or therapeutic. Like the flu doesn’t mutate every year without vaccinations. Remember the 1918 flu, and the variations that came before that one. Just like rat poison slowly makes the meat stronger against the poison through generations and bacteria and viruses get stronger when surging antibiotics… Everything in nature has a survival instinct and if they survive the vaccine, they’ll find a way to work around it.

Simple- the virus mutates when it goes from person to person. People like you who spread fear to make money convinced a ton of people not to get the vaccine. So the virus mutated a bunch between them. Now we have strains that are deadlier and more contagious. That’s evolution. Unvaccinated => more viruses in your body for longer => more chances to mutate. Vaccinated => kill it quick because your immune system can recognise it as an enemy immediately => infection nuked before it can get going => far less chance for mutations to arise. So true, I worked beside someone with the booster shot. Haven’t felt right since. Brain fog, nauseous, sniffles, and slight congestion, felt just like what I call the mechanical version. Christopher Pope
People who got vaccinated early are at increased risk for severe COVID disease – says it all – the vaccinated are contagious. When you mandate policies that have no repercussions to those mandating them, and you don’t study them at all, disaster is what may ensue. I know personally kids severely damaged from a vaccine that won’t help them; 320 COVID deaths under age 20. This is abuse, not science!

So I’m there when it comes to their views on the economy but not with this.  I feel like this may be intentional and was part of the plan all along. Globalists are really pushing to get vaccination rates up everywhere.  It’s the ruling oligarchies behind this with the ultimate aim of controlling, reducing the human population.

Listen to the doctor interview (on podcast/55 minutes) on American Family Radio – Sandy Rios in the Morning (afr.net) for Sept 9, 2021. You will understand the vaccine problem. If our gov truly cared about our health, they would be pushing healthy lifestyles, daily exercise, vitamins such as zinc, vit D, vit a, vit C, quercetin, etc. But… They’re not so they’re pushing a deadly vaccine. It’s all about controlling us, nothing to do with our health. “It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it.” I think it’s safe to assume that no amount of explanation or science will convince you of the validity of a position that contradicts the pronouncements of your cult.

The Dragon Looks West: China and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Jun 15, 2021 · 20 years of Shanghai Cooperation Organization: a View from Kazakhstan. Over the past two decades, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which was founded on June 15, 2001 as one of the largest multilateral structures in the world, has come a long way in becoming an important factor in the regional and global system of international …  For an organization that bears the name of Shanghai, but is focused on Central Asia, its associates look disparate. The SCO is expected to add Egypt, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia as dialogue partners. That diversity affects coherence is a major feature of regional institutions.  The SCO currently comprises eight Member States (China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan), four Observer States interested in acceding to full membership (Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran, and Mongolia) and six “Dialogue.

In 1996, five countries-China, Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan-formed an organization, the Shanghai Five, to resolve border disputes among its members. With the addition of Uzbekistan in 2001, it became the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), a grouping of Russia, China, and a number of under-developed and developing nations with little to bind them together save geography. Five years later, it has grown not only in size, with the granting of observer status to India, Iran, Mongolia, and Pakistan, but also in influence. The group focuses primarily on the security issues of the Chinese trifecta of “terrorism, separatism and extremism.” SCO member states have conducted a number of joint military exercises, and in 2003 created a joint counter-terrorism center in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.[1]

The organization calls for greater economic cooperation among its members, and at a meeting on September 23, 2003, Wen Jiabao, the premier of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), proposed the establishment over the long term of an SCO-wide free trade area[2] designed to improve the flow of goods in the region by easing trade restrictions, such as tariffs. China has also placed a heavy emphasis on energy projects, including exploration of new hydrocarbon reserves, joint use of hydropower resources, and water works development.
The SCO’s security agenda is vast. The organization has been compared to the Warsaw Pact and referred to as the “NATO of the East.”[3] Its agenda is infused with Chinese and Russian suspicion of U.S. designs in Eurasia and a desire to reduce U.S. influence in Central Asia. This is evident in both a 2001 SCO declaration[4] and a 2005 bilateral Russo-Chinese declaration regarding “World Order in the 21st Century,” in which the two great powers emphasize the principles of “mutual respect of sovereignty, territorial integrity, mutual non-aggression and non-interference.”[5] Such statements target the United States’ campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as its efforts to promote democracy in authoritarian former Soviet Republics, efforts which both Russia and China see as destabilizing. Furthermore, the SCO has urged the U.S.-led coalition to announce a timetable for withdrawing from Afghanistan.

Although China and Russia both have an interest in reducing American military power and influence in Central Asia, each country has its own distinct agenda. Russia hopes to utilize the SCO to buttress its monopolistic power in gas transit, and to lesser degree oil transit, in Eurasia. China, on the other hand, would like to structure the SCO as a facilitator of regional trade and investment with Beijing as the dominant player. Despite being substantially larger than the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) or the European Union in terms of total population, land size, and natural resources, the SCO is not yet strong enough to counterbalance the United States in terms of economic strength and military power.[6] However, the SCO’s statements regarding “sovereignty” and “non-interference” reflected Russia’s and China’s commitment to oust the U.S. from the Karshi-Khanabad air force base in Uzbekistan in 2005 and to impose restrictions and high costs on the U.S. Air Force presence in Kyrgyzstan’s Manas International Airport. The United States should remain wary of the growing influence and power of the Russia-China axis.

China’s SCO Goals
Politically, China regards the SCO as a means of creating a new Eurasian order to reduce U.S. military power and limit America’s democracy promotion abroad. After 9/11, with the consent of both Russia and Central Asian host governments, the United States stationed troops in Central Asia to support the military campaign in Afghanistan. At this point, China began to feel strategically deterred by the U.S. from both east and west-Central Asia and the Asian Pacific.[7] China has since re-engaged with the SCO, and with Beijing and Moscow opposing the U.S. campaign in Iraq, and Central Asian states beginning to show concerns regarding the U.S. policy of democratization, China’s recent efforts to court its neighbors to the west have paid off. Beijing has placed a strong emphasis on exploration and development of natural resources and increased economic cooperation. It has also assisted the Central Asian states in anti-terrorist efforts and bolstered the Russo-Chinese strategic partnership.
A strategic partnership between Russia and China, the two most powerful and influential players in the SCO, may bode ill for U.S. involvement in Central Asia. Indications of the Russo-Chinese partnership systematically reducing U.S. influence are evident in the Uzbek demand that the U.S. leave the Karshi-Khanabad base in July 2005.

Russia and China took advantage of the harsh U.S. reaction to the killing by Uzbek interior ministry forces of Islamist rebels in Andijan in May of that year, and managed to convince Uzbek president Islam Karimov that the U.S. somehow had supported the insurgents.[8] Efforts by Moscow and Beijing in Kyrgyzstan have also been successful; Kyrgyzstan has increased the U.S. rent at the Manas air base from an annual $2.7 million to $150-200 million, while the nearby Russian base is rent-free.[9]
Peter Rodman, assistant secretary of defense for international security affairs, remarked, “The SCO is trying to ask us to leave the area in a hurry.”[10] His statements reflect the challenges that the U.S. faces as a result of the emergence of the SCO under Russian and Chinese leadership. China is eager to expand its military influence in Central Asia as well. Beijing has contacted Kyrgyz officials to explore the possibility of Chinese military bases in Kyrgyzstan.[11]
regional militarization and power rivalry in Central Asia raises the possibility that military means could be used in addressing regional issues, especially religious radicalism, terrorism, and narcotics trafficking.[12] Security issues remain a prime concern for China. Separatist movements in Xinjiang, led by the Uighur Muslim minority, have opposed the Chinese regime for decades. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Beijing successfully garnered an agreement from Central Asian states not to support, protect, or train Xinjiang rebels. Since then, China and Central Asian states have signed agreements on combating separatism and terrorism, launching military and security cooperation in the border regions and beyond.

The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has been involved in several joint exercises with troops from other SCO states, including the first-ever bilateral joint exercise with Russian forces in the summer of 2005. China and Russia kicked off Peace Mission 2005 with a ceremony in Vladivostok, just 30 miles from the North Korean border. The war games involved nearly 10,000 troops (including 1,800 Russian military personnel); scores of advanced aircraft (including Russian TU-95 and TU-22 heavy bombers, which can carry cruise missiles); and army, navy, air force, marine, airborne, and logistics units from both countries.[13]
Russia has given the Chinese the first demonstration of the supersonic “carrier-buster” cruise missile Moskit, one of the most advanced weapons in the Russian arsenal, and a weapon clearly designed to get the attention of the U.S. Navy.[14] Although Peace Mission 2005 was ostensibly held under the aegis of the SCO, the fact that it involved amphibious landings, sea blockades, and other operations that are totally irrelevant to the geography of landlocked, desert Central Asia suggests that the SCO is primarily a vehicle for a new Beijing-Moscow condominium in Asia, and is not intended as a true multilateral security framework for Central Asia.

Fueled by Oil and Gas. Oil and gas constitute the most essential economic and strategic reasons for China to engage with the Central Asian states. China’s increasing domestic demand for energy, especially the fossil fuel imports required to sustain its current economic growth rate of more than 9 percent[15] has compelled Chinese leaders to search for new energy suppliers. Ensuring control of Eurasian oil is a logical path, as some of these oil and gas resources can be piped into China, obviating the need for more expensive and less secure transportation by tanker.
Chinese interest in the SCO mainly hinges on widening access to Central Asian energy as a means to diversify China’s sources of imports. In the fall of 2005, China purchased Petrokazakhstan, a Canadian-registered oil company, for close to $4.5 billion.[16] In December 2005, China and Kazakhstan jointly opened the 998-kilometer  Atasu-Alashankou pipeline, projected to deliver up to 200,000 barrels of oil per day by 2007.[17]

Taking advantage of the volatile political situation in Uzbekistan, China rushed to provide economic assistance in the form of a $600 million loan to start development of a gas pipeline to connect Uzbekistan’s considerable gas resources to the Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline which is currently under construction. A gas pipeline spur from Turkmenistan is under discussion as well.[18] China is also involved with less energy-rich Central Asian countries, but on a smaller scale. In 2005, China loaned Kyrgyzstan $5.7 million and Tajikistan $5 million to buy Chinese goods.[19] Chinese officials have even floated the idea of building a pipeline among member states. Such a proposal indicates the depth of Beijing’s interests in securing access to the region’s energy resources. Chinese investment may significantly improve the region’s infrastructure and commercial potential. However, as these states increasingly depend on China as source of both investment and security, the likelihood of China intervening in their domestic affairs will grow. Beijing’s generous economic assistance begs the question of whether the Chinese are attempting to create a “traditional ‘vassal’ relationship between China and the Central Asian states through investment, trade and military cooperation.”[20]

The Evolution of Chinese Foreign Policy
Official relations between China and other states have traditionally been governed by the principle of “li”, the “Confucian rules of propriety,” formulated in the Zhou Dynasty.[21] The principle regulated familial and social relations within China.[22] Traditional center-periphery relations, with China in the center, compelled China’s neighbors to recognize Chinese superiority by paying tribute to the Chinese emperor.
The Chinese empire attempted peaceful persuasion as a means of bringing non-Chinese into the empire without establishing direct control over their territories. The Chinese worldview was “Sino-centric,”[23] with China as the center of the only known civilization. They had no plans of formal expansion, as was evident in Ming’s foreign policy of isolationism in the 15th century. In the expedition by Admiral Zheng He to the Western Ocean, in the Ming dynasty, he did not establish Chinese colonies overseas. However, the growth of Chinese influence in Xinjiang continued in the 16th-17th centuries.

Beginning in the early 19th century, China was subject to foreign influence and colonization. After the Opium Wars in 1843, the Chinese territories were divided among Western powers. This provoked a nationalism powered by simultaneous feelings of humiliation and pride. Increasingly, China has stepped up its nationalist rhetoric, especially with regard to using force if necessary in order to solve the “Taiwan question.”[24]
The passing of the Anti-Secession Law in 2005 by the National People’s Congress provided a legislative basis for China to invade Taiwan. On several occasions, Chinese leaders have touted China’s leading role in the international community. Its Realpolitik philosophy is that the international system is characterized by a constant struggle for domination, and that China must engage in that battle, its main adversary being the United States.
The signing of free trade agreements between Beijing and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) serves to consolidate Chinese economic influence in Asia. Militarily, China has moved even further afield by dispatching peacekeepers to Haiti. China has departed from its traditional isolationist philosophy and sought to project its influence abroad. China is, at present, a regional power with global aspirations, and if it continues on the path of economic growth and projection of influence, its aspirations may be realized.

China and Central Asia
China’s relationships with the peoples of Central Asia have fluctuated throughout history. There have been times of peace, war, trade, isolation, deception, and cooperation. Traditionally, the Chinese empire has been perceived as an aspiring hegemon, if not outright aggressor in Central, Southeast, and Northeast Asia, and a significant portion of Central Asia was once an integrated part of the Chinese tributary system.[25] As early as 138 B.C., in the Han Dynasty, under the leadership of Zhang Qian, information about hitherto unknown states to the west generated much interest in the court. Increased contact gradually led to the creation of the Silk Road, which facilitated trade between the Chinese empire and Central Asian states.
The importance of the Silk Road reached its height during the Tang dynasty, with relative internal stability in China after the divisions of the earlier dynasties. It was during this period that the Chinese traveler Xuan Zhang crossed the region and obtained Buddhist scriptures from India. In the 13th century, under the leadership of Genghis Khan, the builder of the Mongol empire, the whole of Central Asia from China to Persia was united.

However, with the decline of the Mongol empire, the revival of Islam, and the isolationist policies of the Ming dynasty in the 17th century, China gradually lost interest in the region. Although the Chinese attempted to bring the Kazakhs into a vassal relationship in the 18th century,[26] the Chinese empire under the Qing dynasty was subjected to foreign colonialism, and China ended its land expansion. Russia, on the other hand revived its expansionist policies after losing the Crimean War in 1856 by gaining control of the Central Asian Turkestan.[27]
It was not until the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1989 that China regained its interests in the region. Since then Beijing has been actively seeking to exert military, political, and financial influences in the region. Chinese President Hu Jintao has even touted the region’s centrality to Chinese development, a sentiment which likely accounts for the recent joint military exercises, increased political cooperation, and increase in trade between China and Central Asia. China has replaced the United States as a significant source of trade, investment, and consumer goods to Central Asia.

The Xinhua News Agency boasted that Chinese business supplied $500 million in investment to the region in 2003.[28] Railways and roads will provide the necessary transportation links that will connect China’s booming East with Central Asia. Some compare recent Chinese involvement there to modern vassal relations, in which China uses Central Asia as a buffer zone and an economically integrated entity that will help to advance the Chinese global agenda.

Beijing’s interests in the SCO can be separated into two different categories: economic and security. At least two institutional players are competing to set foreign policy and security agendas: the PLA and the Foreign Ministry. These two entities have often engaged in a struggle to determine Chinese foreign policies. Unsurprisingly, the military often favors hawkish policies, while diplomats prefer peaceful means.
However, in the SCO, both the diplomats and the military have adopted forward strategies for China. Lieutenant General Li Qianyuan, head of the Chinese military delegation in the SCO, stated that the high-level joint military exercise exhibited the SCO states’ determination to fight terrorism, separatism, and extremism.[29]
Following the proclaimed success of a Sino-Kyrgyzstan joint anti-terror exercise in 2002, the defense ministers from SCO states signed, at the summit held in Moscow in May 2002, a treaty on conducting this joint anti-terrorist military exercise. Fighting separatism is a priority for Beijing. The separatist movements in Xinjiang constantly resist the Chinese regime. After the disintegration of the czarist empire, the Muslim minority in the province saw an opportunity to recreate the Muslim state of East Turkestan.
There was a spike in separatism after the disintegration of the Soviet Union as well. Suspecting that other Central Asian states might protect separatists, Beijing warned that Chinese investment and trade in the region would be in jeopardy if the Central Asian states refused to comply with Chinese demands. Since the early 1990s, the PLA has maintained around 200,000 soldiers in Xinjiang who are tasked with monitoring the Muslim population.[30]
The Chinese government has claimed that the Taliban and Osama bin Laden have been harboring Uighur terrorists in Afghanistan.[31]
However, the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan destroyed Uighur revolutionaries’ safe haven.
In this respect, China and the U.S. share a common goal in combating nationalism and radical, political Islam. Though China has been uncomfortable with American military presence in Central Asia, Beijing has voiced qualified support of U.S. operations in Afghanistan against Muslim militants.[32] However, the extent of cooperation is limited, as the Chinese fear that the permanent stationing of American troops in the region will change the power balance. Both Russia and China hope to consolidate their influence in this region by diminishing the U.S. regional presence.

The Current and Potential Clashes of Interest between China and Russia
The SCO cannot be regarded as simply a monolithic entity. States’ interests inevitably conflict with each other. Sino-Russian current and future contradictions are the most obvious, but other conflicts abound. For instance, the Kyrgyz are unsatisfied with ceding a mountain range to China in the framework of a peace treaty. Specifically in the Asky riots in 2002, there was a protest against the Kyrgyz government ceding too much territory to China in land negotiations.[33] There have even been reports of Chinese diplomats being assassinated because of the Kyrgyzstani populace’s frustration towards Beijing. Similarly, the clash of interests between China and Russia is evident in military strategic and energy considerations. Since 2004, high-profile Russian officials have stressed Moscow’s opposition to a Chinese military presence in Central Asia.[34]

Russia opposes a growing strategic role for China.
Conflicts of interest are most pronounced in the energy sector. In 2005, the Russian energy firm Gazprom and KazMunaiGaz, Kazakhstan’s main gas pipeline firm, agreed to increase gas transit of Turkmen and Uzbek gas via Kazakhstan to Russia for export to Gazprom’s European customers. This move may restrict China’s gas importing options in the region.[35] Furthermore, while China wanted the main Siberian oil pipeline to end in Daqing, in Heilongjiang province, Russia prefers a more expensive pipeline to Nahkhodka on the Pacific Coast with a spur to Daqing. Such a route will give Russia greater flexibility to export not only to China but also to Japan and Korea. Japan has even expressed willingness to subsidize the construction of the pipeline. Russia has remained cautious about the final decision on the direction and structure of the Siberian pipeline, which demonstrates that Russia does not want to become dependent on a single Chinese customer for its oil.
Russia, joined by U.S. energy companies, has attempted to obstruct Chinese efforts to buy energy holdings in the region, compelling the Chinese to search for other oil and gas options, such as cooperation with Iran. Iran’s ties with China (and Russia) are strengthening, and it sought to apply for full SCO membership. China currently imports around 13 percent of its oil from Iran. Pakistan is also interested in SCO membership, in exchange for which President Pervez Musharraf is offering China an “energy corridor” to Central Asia and the Middle East. Chinese interest in exploring a link to the long Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline reflects the Chinese agenda of diversifying its sources of energy. However, Chinese and Russian officials have explicitly ruled out Iran becoming an SCO member, and have also ruled out any further expansion of the SCO membership in the near future. The Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister, Li Huio, stated that the SCO will not take in new members before its six members “make serious studies.”[36]

Implications for the United States.
The United States is concerned that Beijing and Moscow are using their diplomatic alliance to limit America’s role in Central Asia. Both Russia and China would prefer that Central Asian countries’ contacts with the West be managed, or at least approved, by Moscow and Beijing. But the chief beneficiary from the SCO is China.[37] Beijing’s standing in the SCO and relatively good relations with the U.S. and Europe give China the opportunity to serve as an intermediary for the West.
Russia’s reluctance to construct an oil pipeline between Daqing and Siberia indicates Russian concerns about Chinese control over its natural resources. Moscow is also concerned about China’s military intentions, creating a sense of mistrust between the two powers. Despite Russia’s and China’s joint denunciation of the American military presence in Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan has allowed the United States to maintain its base at Manas, and Kazakhstan will even host NATO’s Steppe Eagle exercise in September. The SCO is not yet a cohesive entity in challenging the United States militarily or economically.

NATO may explore expanding relations with the SCO. Options for cooperative efforts may go beyond the existing NATO-Russia Council, and the Partnership for Peace, of which most Central Asian states are members. NATO members have a degree of cohesion and unity of values not yet present among SCO members and observer states, which often demonstrate considerable differences of approach and interest. Equally important, the SCO is a relatively small organization, still in its infancy, with an operating budget less than $30 million and a staff of a few dozen people. NATO, being larger, stronger, and more experienced in transnational security issues, can engage the SCO in discussions of strategic issues facing the region and develop paths for cooperation along the lines of the Partnership for Peace.
The United States should also seek bilateral agreements with the larger organization. Given that the SCO primarily serves as a geopolitical counterweight to the United States, American entrance into the organization is unlikely. The 2005 U.S. application to join the SCO was rejected.[38] Under such conditions, it is doubtful the United States and China can agree on terms for American membership without conceding their respective interests. However, the United States does not necessarily need membership in the organization to work closely with Central Asian states. It should renew its application to join as an observer and look to friendly states, such as Kazakhstan and Mongolia, for support. Whether or not the U.S. is able to attain observer status, it should use every diplomatic tool in its arsenal to oppose Iran’s intention to join as a full member.

Should Iran be permitted to enter the SCO, this will be a clear indication that Russia and China side with Iran on the issue of nuclear proliferation. Furthermore, inclusion of Iran would give the SCO significant influence over one of the world’s largest supplies of oil and gas reserves, in addition to potentially another nuclear arsenal. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s suggestion of forming a “natural gas OPEC” with Iran and Turkmenistan is of particular concern. These three countries are first, third, and fourth, respectively, in natural gas reserves, and will have the capacity to raise the global price of gas by regulating supply.
If the United States hopes to gain observer status in the SCO, it should engage the Central Asian states specifically by balancing democracy promotion and democratization with its other national interests, including security and energy. With the exception of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, most of the Central Asian states continue to maintain links with the United States to balance Russian and Chinese power. The U.S. should use what remaining contacts and leverage it has and continue to improve relations with friendly Central Asian states by providing economic, governance, and legislative reform assistance, and by enhancing military-to-military relationships. Working alongside these state governments in combating jihadists and terrorist organizations, the U.S. can appeal to common goals and secure

American strategic and energy interests in the region.

In the deadliest pandemic the world has ever seen, qualified nursing and care staff are BEING FIRED for refusing to take a shot that they survived all last year without and doctors are REFUSING to see people DO YOU SEE IT YET?!? Most of those nurses have natural immunity, it is definitely not about our health.

Being one of those Care Workers I can say the last 9 months have been HELL.

The government has now issued a 12 week exemption out of the kindness of their hearts.

Or is it just to prolong the threats, bullying and coercive bribes until more comply?…….

The latter for sure. Ian #ImDone #KBF

Jewel Shares Her Stay-Calm Secrets:
I Use Mindfulness Hacks to ‘Rewire My Brain’
By Jewel Kilcher.

Jewel On Living With A Mental Health Condition During A Pandemic |

Jewel also experiences a kind of “random, free-floating anxiety,” which she said she tackles by identifying the negative “gremlin voices” in her head that tell her she’s not enough. She then creates an “antidote thought” that’s an exact opposite of the thought that is plaguing her. She told  HuffPost Life that tactic has helped her in moments of professional uncertainty.
As someone who has struggled with homelessness and agoraphobia, singer and songwriter Jewel has a keen understanding of anxiety. During a conversation with HuffPost Live about her new memoir, Never Broken, the artist offered a viewer her best advice for calming the mind when it feels out of sync.

For the “traumatic type of anxiety, where you’re actually gripped by panic attacks,” Jewel developed a visualization exercise that she said works like charm: “I pretend I’m in an ocean and it’s very stormy on the surface, and then I’ll sink down below the water and I’ll slow my breathing down and I’ll sink to the bottom.
And I’ll look back up to the stormy surface at the top, and I’ll notice the colors and I’ll notice the way the light is and I’ll notice how things are calmer. And when I watch what’s happening from a distance, I usually get a much better perspective on it, and my whole body will calm down.”

Stars Who’ve Battled Mental Health Issues
“I started practicing mindfulness when I didn’t even know what the word was,” the Grammy-nominated vocalist exclusively told Us Weekly on Tuesday, August 21. “When I was about nine years old, my parents got divorced. My dad became an alcoholic which was trauma-triggering all the time, so I began to write and my anxiety calmed down.”
The songwriter, 47, who has been vocal about the hurdles she’s had to overcome in life — including being homeless at age 18 — says she realized early on that she had to learn healthy coping mechanisms to lessen her anxiety and turn her life around.
Keep calm and write on. For singer Jewel, putting her emotions on paper — first in a journal as a child and later for songs — has been key to maintaining a balanced mindset.

“I knew that if I didn’t learn a new emotional language.
I would be a statistic. I would repeat the cycle that I was raised by,” she reveals to Us. “So my life’s mission began to be, ‘How do I rewire my brain? How do I learn to be happy? Is it a learnable skill if I wasn’t taught it in my home?’”
One quote in particular really resonated with the “Foolish Games” songstress: “I began to really double down on a quote by Buddha: ‘Happiness doesn’t depend on who you are or what you have. It depends on what you think,’” she shares. “So I started deciding to see if I could turn my life around one thought at a time and I began developing these exercises for myself that calmed down my panic attacks, solved my anxiety and really started to rewire my brain. We curate what we eat, which is good. We curate what we wear and what we participate in buying, but we really don’t think about curating our thoughts and how that affects our health.”

To share her “mindfulness skills” with others, the “Picking Up The Pieces” singer created Never Broken, a free online resource that offers exercises that can help calm the mind and reset negative thoughts. “They’re scientifically proven — a neuroscientist came and showed me why these exercises I invented when I was homeless work, which was amazing,” she says.
Besides writing down her feelings, Jewel says one super easy trick that you can do anywhere that takes only seconds is to execute is being grateful.

“If you’re negative or if you’re anxious just stop, take a deep breath, think of something you’re genuinely grateful for,” she tells Us. “It sounds too easy to be true, but I was the most anxious when I was on a street corner with nothing and scared to death. I would force myself to be grateful for something — just taking a moment to genuinely feel grateful that I was at least still alive … and it was a sunny day and the sun was so beautiful on the leaves of a tree,” she shares. “It would instantly put me in what is called an expansive state and that can change all of the biochemicals in your brain.”

Nutritional strategies to ease anxiety
By Uma Naidoo, MD, Contributor

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the United States. That’s 40 million adults—18% of the population—who struggle with anxiety. Anxiety and depression often go hand in hand, with about half of those with depression also experiencing anxiety.
Specific therapies and medications can help relieve the burden of anxiety,
yet only about a third of people suffering from this condition seek treatment.
In my practice, part of what I discuss when explaining treatment options is the important role of diet in helping to manage anxiety.
In addition to healthy guidelines such as eating a balanced diet, drinking enough water to stay hydrated, and limiting or avoiding alcohol and caffeine, there are many other dietary considerations that can help relieve anxiety. For example, complex carbohydrates are metabolized more slowly and therefore help maintain a more even blood sugar level, which creates a calmer feeling.
A diet rich in whole grains, vegetables, and fruits is a healthier option than eating a lot of simple carbohydrates found in processed foods. When you eat is also important. Don’t skip meals. Doing so may result in drops in blood sugar that cause you to feel jittery, which may worsen underlying anxiety.
The gut-brain axis is also very important, since a large percentage (about 95%) of serotonin receptors are found in the lining of the gut. Research is examining the potential of probiotics for treating both anxiety and depression.

Make these foods a part of your anti-anxiety diet
You might be surprised to learn that specific foods have been shown to reduce anxiety. In mice, diets low in magnesium were found to increase anxiety-related behaviors. Foods naturally rich in magnesium may, therefore, help a person to feel calmer. Examples include leafy greens, such as spinach and Swiss chard. Other sources include legumes, nuts, seeds, and whole grains.
Foods rich in zinc such as oysters, cashews, liver, beef, and egg yolks have
been linked to lowered anxiety.

Other foods, including fatty fish like wild Alaskan salmon, contain omega-3 fatty acids. A study completed on medical students in 2011 was one of the first to show that omega-3s may help reduce anxiety. (This study used supplements containing omega-3 fatty acids). Prior to the study, omega-3 fatty acids had been linked to improving depression only.
A study in the journal Psychiatry Research suggested a link between probiotic foods and a lowering of social anxiety. Eating probiotic-rich foods such as pickles, sauerkraut, and kefir was linked with fewer symptoms.
Asparagus, known widely to be a healthy vegetable. Based on research, the Chinese government approved the use of an asparagus extract as a natural functional food and beverage ingredient due to its anti-anxiety properties.
Foods rich in B vitamins, such as avocado and almonds.
These “feel good” foods spur the release of neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine. They are a safe and easy first step in managing anxiety.
Should antioxidants be included in your anti-anxiety diet?
Anxiety is thought to be correlated with a lowered total antioxidant state.
It stands to reason, therefore, that enhancing your diet with foods rich in antioxidants may help ease the symptoms of anxiety disorders. A 2010 study reviewed the antioxidant content of 3,100 foods, spices, herbs, beverages, and supplements. Foods designated as high in antioxidants by the USDA include:

Beans: Dried small red, Pinto, black, red kidney
Fruits: Apples (Gala, Granny Smith, Red Delicious), prunes, sweet cherries, plums, black plums
Berries: Blackberries, strawberries, cranberries, raspberries, blueberries
Nuts: Walnuts, pecans
Vegetables: Artichokes, kale, spinach, beets, broccoli
Spices with both antioxidant and anti-anxiety properties include turmeric (containing the active ingredient curcumin) and ginger.
Achieving better mental health through diet
Be sure to talk to your doctor if your anxiety symptoms are severe or last more than two weeks. But even if your doctor recommends medication or therapy for anxiety, it is still worth asking whether you might also have some success by adjusting your diet. While nutritional psychiatry is not a substitute for other treatments, the relationship between food, mood, and anxiety is garnering more and more attention. There is a growing body of evidence, and more research is needed to fully understand the role of nutritional psychiatry,
or as I prefer to call it, Psycho-Nutrition.

Coping Strategies.

Try these when you’re feeling anxious or stressed:
Take a time-out. Practice yoga, listen to Jewel’s Playlist meditate, get a massage, or learn relaxation techniques. Stepping back from the problem helps clear your head.
Eat well-balanced meals. Do not skip any meals. Do keep healthful, energy-boosting snacks on hand.
Limit alcohol and caffeine, which can aggravate anxiety and trigger panic attacks.
Get enough sleep. When stressed, your body needs additional sleep and rest.
Exercise daily to help you feel good and maintain your health.

Check out the fitness tips below.

Take deep breaths. Inhale and exhale slowly.
Count to 10 slowly. Repeat, and count to 20 if necessary.
Do your best. Instead of aiming for perfection, which isn’t possible, be proud of however close you get.
Accept that you cannot control everything. Put your stress in perspective: Is it really as bad as you think?
Welcome humor. A good laugh goes a long way.
Maintain a positive attitude. Make an effort to replace negative thoughts with positive ones.
Get involved. Volunteer or find another way to be active in your community, which creates a support network and gives you a break from everyday stress.
Learn what triggers your anxiety. Is it work, family, school, or something else you can identify? Write in a journal when you’re feeling stressed or anxious, and look for a pattern.
Talk to someone. Tell friends and family you’re feeling overwhelmed, and let them know how they can help you. Talk to a physician or therapist for professional help.

Fitness Tips: Stay Healthy, Manage Stress.

For the biggest benefits of exercise, try to include at least 2½ hours of moderate-intensity physical activity (e.g. brisk walking) each week, 1¼ hours of vigorous-intensity activity (such as jogging or swimming laps), or a combination of the two.
5 X 30: Jog, walk, bike, or dance three to five times a week for 30 minutes.
Set small daily goals and aim for daily consistency rather than perfect workouts. It’s better to walk every day for 15-20 minutes than to wait until the weekend for a three-hour fitness marathon. Lots of scientific data suggests that frequency is most important.
Find forms of exercise that are fun or enjoyable. Extroverted people often like classes and group activities. People who are more introverted often prefer solo pursuits.
Distract yourself with an iPod or other portable media player to download audiobooks, podcasts, or music. Many people find it’s more fun to exercise while listening to something they enjoy.
Recruit an “exercise buddy.” It’s often easier to stick to your exercise routine when you have to stay committed to a friend, partner, or colleague.
Be patient when you start a new exercise program. Most sedentary people require about four to eight weeks to feel coordinated and sufficiently in shape so that exercise feels easier.

3 Ways to Instant Calm.

1. Doodle
It may sound silly, but doodling gives your mind a much-needed break.
“It taps into the nonverbal, emotional part of our brain and can therefore promote creativity and release stressful emotions,” says art therapist Erica Curtis, who sits on the board of directors of the American Art Therapy Association.
2. Pack a snack attack
Keep a stash of foods loaded with mood- and energy-boosting B vitamins handy for that afternoon snack, recommends holistic health and nutrition counselor Melanie Smith of Yogaphoria. Almonds (a handful a day is good), low-fat milk, cottage cheese and broccoli are great options.
3. Relax your… tongue! Quick: Where’s your tongue?
Most likely, it’s resting on the roof of your closed mouth.
“Those contracted muscles restrict breathing and signal your nervous system that it’s under a threat,” says psychotherapist Eddie Reece. Try relaxing your tongue and jaw, allowing your tongue to hang out along your lower jaw.
