The star’s secrets for a long life are a lot more fun than you’d expect.
BY SARAH CROW

Betty Marion White Ludden (born January 17, 1922) is an American actress and comedian.[1][2] A pioneer of early television, White was one of the first women to exert control in front of and behind the camera,[3] and the first woman to produce a sitcom (Life with Elizabeth),[4] which contributed to her being named honorary Mayor of Hollywood in 1955.[5] She is also widely known for her roles as Sue Ann Nivens on the CBS sitcom The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1973–1977), Rose Nylund on the NBC sitcom The Golden Girls (1985–1992), and Elka Ostrovsky on the TV Land sitcom Hot in Cleveland (2010–2015).

With an entertainment career spanning over nine decades, White was eight years old when she made her radio programming debut in 1930. Several years later in young adulthood she began working as a radio personality in Los Angeles under the guidance of disk jockey Al Jarvis. After making the transition to television, White became a staple panelist of American game shows, including PasswordMatch GameTattletalesTo Tell the TruthThe Hollywood Squares and The $25,000 Pyramid; dubbed “the first lady of game shows”, White became the first woman to receive the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host for the show Just Men! in 1983.[6] She is also known for her appearances on The Bold and the BeautifulBoston LegalThe Carol Burnett Show, and Saturday Night Live.

With a television career spanning over eight decades.
White has worked longer in that medium than anyone else in the television industry, earning her a Guinness World Record in 2018.[7][8][9] White has received eight Emmy Awards in various categories, three American Comedy Awards, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Grammy Award.[10]
She has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and is a 1985 Television Hall of Fame inductee. White may be bubbly, but that doesn’t mean she lives a vice-free life—
in fact, she revealed to Parade that vodka is one of the essential ingredients
to a good life, in her mind.
And in an interview with David Letterman, White admitted that her free time
is mostly spent playing with animals, adding, “Vodka’s kind of a hobby.”

image.png
Your doctor may have told you to stay away from processed meats
if you want to live a longer life, but White begs to differ.

The star revealed to Parade that after vodka, hot dogs are her next-greatest love. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, White explained that she’s not keen on restrictive diets.
“I don’t eat anything special. French fries. Hot dogs if I can get ’em. And I’m not a big breakfast eater. I’ll have a sandwich at lunch and then come home, and Pontiac and I have vodka on the rocks and then our dinner.

You can’t get much better,” she told the magazine.

Above all, she considers herself lucky.

White says it’s not talent or dedication alone that’s gotten her to this point in her life—she happens to have excellent luck, too. “I’m the luckiest old woman on the planet because I’m blessed with good health and energy,” she told Bazaar. “I don’t have any secrets for staying sprightly, but people
just keep coming to me with great projects and I can’t say no.”

In an interview with Parade
White admitted that having a rosy outlook on life had served her well—so much so that she wondered if it might have had a hand in her longevity. “Enjoy life,” she told the publication. “Accentuate the positive, not the negative. It sounds so trite, but a lot of people will pick out something to complain about, rather than say, ‘Hey, that was great!’ It’s not hard to find great stuff if you look.”

Her biggest lesson learned? “Don’t take yourself too seriously.”

“I am blessed with good health,” she recently told People,
“So, turning 100 is no different than turning 99.”

White plans to keep things low-key due to the coronavirus pandemic, and
will be working on her upcoming show The Pet Set, she told Entertainment Tonight. Once it’s safe to do so again, she is looking forward to “visiting with close friends and bringing food to my animal friends.”
Even on a milestone birthday, age is nothing but a number for White.
“I never thought about age much,” she told AARP in 2011. “I learned that at
my mother’s knee. Age was not important. It was where your head was.”
At 99, here’s everything she has shared about staying young at heart.

She keeps moving.
When asked what she credits her good health to, White said genetics may
have something to do with it. “My dad
died when he was 83 and my mom died at 85,” she told Parade.
“They were active right up until the very end.”

But she’s also found creative ways to stay active over the years.
“I have a two-story house and a bad memory, so I’m up and down
those stairs all the time,” she told Parade. “That’s my exercise.”

She treats herself.
White has not been putting up with salads for decades. In fact, she once suggested on The Late Show with David Letterman, that it’s best to “take some wheatgrass, soy paste, and carob, toss in the garbage and cook yourself a big-a** piece of pork,” she joked. Bottom line: White always remembers to treat herself in life. The comedian told Parade that her favorite foods are vodka and hot dogs, “probably in that order.”
She stays busy.
White credits her fulfilling life to “having a good agent who keeps me busy all the time,” she recently told People. She also says it’s important to pursue your passions. “Don’t focus everything on you—that wears out pretty fast,”  White said in a 2017 interview with Katie Couric. “It’s not hard to find things you’re interested in, but enjoy them, and indulge them and, I think that keeps you on your toes.”

Her sense of humor keeps her going.

White’s number one tip for a healthy life has nothing to do with diet or exercise. Her biggest lesson learned? Have a sense of humor. “Don’t take yourself too seriously,” she told People. “You can lie to others—not that
I would—but you cannot lie to yourself.”
She told Parade last year that optimism is worth it. “I know it sounds corny, but I try to see the funny side and the upside, not the downside,” she said.
“I get bored with people who complain about this or that. It’s such a waste of time.”
“Enjoy life,” she added. “Accentuate the positive, not the negative.
It sounds so trite, but a lot of people will pick out something to complain about, rather than say, ‘Hey, that was great!’

It’s not hard to find great stuff if you look.”

All of the Best Life Advice Betty White Has Ever Given,
She turns 100 in January, so she’s doing something right!

When you think of Betty White, it’s almost impossible for a smile not to cross your face.
Few women in Hollywood have enjoyed a career that spans over seven decades, while consistently charming the pants off households across America. Her roles are iconic (Rose forever!), her comedic timing remains impeccable, and, best of all, the life experiences she continues to share with us all are marked by a relatable wisdom few celebrities can offer.

Facial expression, Smile, Wrinkle, Happy, Laugh, Grandparent,
How will Betty be celebrating her 100th birthday?

She recently told Entertainment Tonight: “What am I doing for my birthday?
Running a mile each morning has been curtailed by COVID, so I am working on getting The Pet Set re-released, and feeding the two ducks who come to visit me every day.”
Her secret to a long, healthy life
“Enjoy life,” she recently told Parade. “Accentuate the positive, not the negative. It sounds so trite, but a lot of people will pick out something to complain about, rather than say, ‘Hey, that was great!’ It’s not hard to find great stuff if you look.” Her other piece of advice? Eat hot dogs and drink vodka, “probably in that order.”

“IT’S NOT HARD TO FIND GREAT STUFF IF YOU LOOK.”

Her biggest regret:
White was married to game show host Allen Ludden for 18 years. They met when White was a contestant on the TV game show Password. The two fell in love, but White refused his proposal twice. They were eventually married in 1963. “I spent a whole year, wasted a whole year that Allen and I could have had together, saying, ‘No, I wouldn’t marry him,'” she told Oprah on an episode of Where Are They Now. “No, I won’t leave California. No, I won’t move to New York. I wasted a whole year we could have had together, but we made it. We finally did.” Ludden passed away in 1981 from stomach cancer.

What advice she would give to widows:
In an interview with Katie Couric to ring in her 95th birthday, White shared her advice for dealing with the death of a spouse. “One day at a time,” she said. “You don’t look ahead and you try not to look back.”

Finding meaning later in life.
“First of all, keep busy,” she told Couric in the same interview.
“And don’t focus everything on you, that wears out pretty fast. It’s not hard to find things you’re interested in, but enjoy them and indulge them, and I think that can keep you on your toes.”

Make yourself useful.
“People take a very dim view of aging, not just in show business, but in
almost every business,” White said in a 2014 interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
“They’re always looking for the young people coming up, which I understand. But make yourself as useful as possible so that they’ll find a place for you too! And don’t complain—try to accentuate the positive rather than the negative.
If you’re complaining, you’re not fun to be around, and fun is the name of the game.”

“DON’T COMPLAIN—TRY TO ACCENTUATE THE POSITIVE RATHER THAN THE NEGATIVE.”

Keeping her mind sharp
“Crossword puzzles!” she told Couric.
“I’m addicted. An admitted addict. I just can’t put ’em down.”

How she hopes to be remembered:
“Warmly,” she told Parade. “I hope they remember something funny.
I hope they remember laughing.”

Reach Your True Potential

In a stark contrast from his ridiculously strict fitness regimen:

The Fortune favors The Brave & Courageous.

Tom Brady was on the chunkier side as a kid. The San Mateo, California native was always a little pudgy, but still had a winning quality about him. According to the Daily Mail Online, Brady’s former football coach, Tom Mackenzie, said that when he first met the future five-time Super Bowl champion, “he was just the back up” and that Tom was just “lanky kid with a bit of baby fat.”
Yet, during his sophomore year at Junipero Serra High School, Brady grew a couple inches and started improving his accuracy.
Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. was born in San Mateo, California on August 3, 1977, the only son and fourth child of Galynn Patricia (née Johnson) and Thomas Brady Sr.[10] He has three older sisters, Nancy, Julie and Maureen,[11] and was raised as a Catholic. His father is of Irish descent, while his mother has GermanNorwegianPolish and Swedish ancestry.[12] Two of Brady’s great-great-grandparents on his father’s side, John and Bridget Brady, were Irish refugees from the Great Famine who moved to San Francisco from Boston  before the American Civil War.  Brady attended Junípero Serra High School in San Mateo, where he graduated in 1995.[22]

He played footballbasketball, and baseball in high school. He played against Bellarmine College Preparatory rival Pat Burrell in both football and baseball.[23] Brady began his football career as the backup quarterback on the Padres junior varsity team. At first, Brady was not good enough to start on the 0–8 JV team, which had not scored a touchdown all year.[24]  Brady ascended to the starting position when the starting quarterback was injured. He became the varsity starter in his junior year and held the position until he graduated.[25] By Brady’s senior year, he was striving to be noticed by college coaches.
He created highlight tapes and sent them to schools he considered attending.[26] This led to strong interest from many football programs around the nation.
The process of recruiting was much different during Brady’s time, when athletes’ rankings were not as prominent. In terms of recruiting in the 2000s, Brady would have been considered a four-star recruit. In essence, he was a highly rated prospect.[27] Brady was also on Blue Chip Illustrated as well as a Prep Football Report All-American selection.[28] After his recruiting process, he narrowed his list to five schools.[29] “Probably the ones that we did hear from and ultimately pared the list to were Cal–Berkeley, UCLA, USC, Michigan and Illinois”, his father said.[29] As a Cal fan, his father hoped that Brady would attend the nearby Cal, where Brady was a silent commit, and that he would be able to watch his son play.[30][31]  Tom Brady – Wikipedia

How Much Longer Can Tom Brady Play at a High Level?
Tom Brady admits there’s one thing he would like about retirement:
We will probably never see a player like Tom Brady again. A guy who was overlooked in the NFL draft only to become one the greatest athletes of all time, he overcame all odds from day one and he continues performing at his best even at 44 years of age.
Just when many thought he was done after leaving the New England Patriots, he led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to an unforgettable Super Bowl triumph in his first season away from Foxborough. And now he’s on the mission of leading Tampa to back-to-back championships.
So, he has certainly put to rest any comments about his best days being far behind him or anything like that. But even though it looks like he could play until he’s 50 if he wants to, Brady admitted there’s something he would like about retirement.

On his SirusXM‘s Let’s Go show, TB12 chatted with Oprah about what he looks forward to most when he retires. It seems like Thanksgiving Day left Tom thinking, as he revealed what things he would like to enjoy more in retirement.
“I’ve been in football for so long, 22 years professionally, it always comes in the middle of the football season,” he said, regarding Thanksgiving Day. “We usually have a game on that Sunday… The holiday just kind of comes and goes. There’s one thing about playing in the middle of the football season…   Thanksgiving, there’s a lot to be thankful for, but you only get about four hours to enjoy it.
“Practice usually ends at about 1 or 2. You eat about 3:30, then you’re getting ready for next day of practice, same thing with Christmas. I’m looking forward to the time when I’m done playing football so that I can have some of those more normal holidays that I had growing up that were important where the family’s all together.”
Of course, after more than two decades of playing football at the top level, there’s a lot of things Brady may have wanted to enjoy a bit more. Time with family is always important and holidays are a great opportunity for it. So, even though we’ll probably see him play for more years, now we know what attracts him the most about retirement.

How has Tom Brady Been so Successful for so Long?
by Josh Chaimson (thegamehaus.com)

Not even the NFL great Peyton Manning, could play the quarterback position successfully past the age of 39 (while struggling in his final years). Upon choosing to play the sport of football (professionally), it seems one’s body enters a contract with the laws of physics. In this contract, it is stated that the human body should not be able to withstand the blows (that are endured in football), for a long period.

Belichick Qualms About TB12 – Bing
As time goes on, more and more of the world’s most talented athletes fall victim to time. This can be best evidenced by the lack of quarterbacks (over the age of 40), who have managed to successfully play the quarterback position at that age. Currently, there are only 16 quarterbacks (in the history of the NFL), to have started at such an age. Of those 16 quarterbacks, only seven of them held an above .500 record (while playing at age 40+).Of those seven quarterbacks with above .500 records, only three of them have won more than five games at such an age.

Those three quarterbacks are Brett Favre (13-12), Drew Brees (14-5) and Tom Brady (42-15). Brady currently has more wins than the 13 other quarterbacks combined (38-42). So the question becomes, why has Brady been able to hold unparalleled athletic success at such an age?

The Secrets To Being Tom Brady Are Pricey Supplements, No Tomatoes or Fries. 5 years ago, at 39, Brady told Dayna Evans of NYmag.com,
“I’m 39 and I get to play football for a living. There are not a lot of people who get that chance…Part of that is because of the way that I treat my body. There are not many people who get to play for as long as I have, and I want to be able to show the next generation of athletes that if you follow certain routines and you’re disciplined in certain areas, then you could get to do this, too.”

The Powers of Healthy Eating – Bing video
According to a (Sports Illustrated) report, Bradys’ diet differs depending
on the time of year. This is done to obtain a metabolic balance. During the summertime, Brady eats a mostly raw diet (cold property foods). During the wintertime, Brady eats a lot of red meat (among other hot property foods). Properties of Food from a TCM Perspective (shen-nong.com)

This is done to help keep his diet at an 80 percent alkaline, 20 percent acidic ratio.

About – The Healing Cuisine Brady (and his wife) were even hesitant to begin eating dessert (when their head chef Joanne Young mentioned it). But the desserts Joanne Young prepared were healthy, so the couple began to grow quite fond of the recipes. These recipes consisted mostly of organic ingredients (as Brady will not eat processed sugar).

Tom Bradys’ Belief in the Power of Stretching.
Outside of the kitchen, Brady dedicates much of his longevity to the powers of stretching. He mentioned to GQ News, that he cares deeply about the ability of his muscles to lengthen and contract. Given that muscles shorten upon strenuous weight lifting activity, it makes sense that he would deeply value stretching (as this lengthens the muscle tissue). Having longer/looser muscle tissue makes athletes more limber. This will drastically reduce their odds of injury. For this reason, Brady loves doing yoga in his spare time. Another benefit of doing yoga is that it drastically improves one’s mental health. Given that the quarterback is often viewed as the leader of a team, the quarterback needs to have a solid mental foundation. For this reason, Brady takes this one step further, as he visits with a neuropsychologist (through skype) regularly. This serves to help Brady strengthen his decision-making speed, and mental sharpness.

Given that father time is undefeated, Brady’s NFL career should end soon. However, in the meantime he should be honored and everyone should take note of his impeccably rigid/detailed work ethic.

Mark Lucock ends his review of the science of folic acid by quoting Hippocrates: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” (p 211). Although many patients are convinced of the importance of food in both causing and relieving their problems, many doctors’ knowledge of nutrition is rudimentary. Most feel much more comfortable with drugs than foods, and the “food as medicine” philosophy of Hippocrates has been largely neglected. That may be about to change. Concern about obesity is rocketing up political agendas, and a growing interest in the science of functional foods is opening up many therapeutic possibilities (p 180).

It was in 1931 that Lucy Wills described how yeast extract could be effective in preventing tropical macrocytic anemia of late pregnancy. Folate was shown to be the crucial factor. In the 1980s a series of studies showed how periconceptional folate could prevent spina bifida. Then in 1995 came a meta-analysis that established that high homocysteine concentrations were a risk factor for atherosclerosis. Dietary folate reduces homocysteine, raising the possibility that a vitamin might prevent vascular disease. Next, several nucleotide polymorphisms were found to be related to folate, meaning that folate levels might influence the chance of developing cancer.
These discoveries are not surprising as folate metabolism is involved in many of the fundamental processes of life. Lucock describes, for example, how it is important for nucleotide biosynthesis. Thymidylate synthase, an enzyme that helps synthesize DNA, depends on a folate derivative. Low levels of folate may thus lead to breaks in DNA, predisposing to cancer. There are many other ways in which folate can affect gene function, and so folate is central to nutrigenomics—the study of the links between nutrition and gene function.

Folate may thus be a leading contender for panacea of the 21st century. Addition of folate to foods might reduce birth defects, vascular disease, and heart disease—and the Americans favor fortifying bread with folate. But folate being involved in so many of life’s fundamental processes not only leads to its possibilities as a panacea but also to the prospect that “messing around with folate” could do extensive harm. The folate used in food fortification is not a natural co-enzyme, and nobody knows the long-term effects of exposing whole populations to the unnatural folate.
There is thus great potential for good, some possibility of harm, and much uncertainty.
The question of fortifying foods inevitably becomes highly political, and the politics of nutrition are just as complex as the science. Owen Dyer tells how the United States government—lobbied by food manufacturers—is trying to undermine a report by the World Health Organization on Diet, Nutrition, and the Prevention of Chronic Disease (p 185).
My unadventurous prediction is that we will be hearing much more about the science, medicine, and politics of food. Hippocrates would be pleased.

Get your PH levels in the right range and keep your biochemical balance in check. …. The Alkaline Diet: An Evidence-Based Review (healthline.com)

PH Neutralizer–PH Maintenance–Wood ash – YouTube
Balancing pH and Water (“usgs.gov”) PH Levels in Your Body—whether distance runners, Crossfitters, triathletes or otherwise all-around competitors—need the right nutrients to fuel their training and stay healthy. But there’s more involved than eating a healthful meat-veggie-carb-fat mix. To use that fuel in the most efficient way, athletes should strive for a neutral internal pH, says Nicole Kuhl, a certified clinical nutritionist at Life Span Medicine in Santa Monica, Calif. When in a state of biochemical balance, they will perform optimally, have prolonged stamina and strength, and enjoy better overall health.
“Your pH most determines your biochemical balance,” Kuhl explained. “An athlete’s goal should be to get his or her biochemistry as balanced as possible because when that happens, you have metabolic efficiency. That’s what every competitor wants. If your pH isn’t in the right range, your metabolic processes can’t fire right.” So how do you balance your pH? By being mindful of what you put in your mouth.

Understanding Ash
Proper pH Balance: What It Is + 4 Steps to Achieve It – Dr. Axe (draxe.com)
Just about everything an individual consumes is converted into energy. Once the nutrients are digested and metabolized by the body, they leave behind an ash that’s either acidic, alkaline or neutral, explained Lisa Suriano, a nutrition and food science expert based in Ridgewood, N.J. In general, most vegetables and fruits leave behind an alkaline ash; meats, dairy, fats and many processed foods leave behind an acidic ash, Suriano said. Even healthy foods, such as lean meat and cholesterol-lowering oatmeal, can leave behind an acidic ash that needs to be balanced with alkaline dietary options.
“Competitive athletes are always trying to fight muscle fatigue, so most people know to stay hydrated and prevent carbohydrate depletion,” Suriano said. “But acidic pH levels, possibly reaching an acidosis level, will really hinder their performance as well.”

RELATED VIDEO: Eat And Run, The Acid-Base Balance
Signs and symptoms of acidic pH levels include cramping, overall soreness and stiffness, headaches, and even foggy thinking, she said. Human bodies operate optimally when they’re slightly alkaline between 7.35 and 7.45, Suriano said—so athletes have to consume more alkaline foods to reduce acid levels.

However, it’s more complicated than that, Kuhl said.

“When you burn food into ash, there will be an acidic or alkaline residue, but in the human body there’s something called biochemical individuality,” she said, meaning that each person’s chemical makeup and nutritional needs are unique. “Two human beings can eat the exact same nutrients or take the exact same medication and have completely opposite responses. For instance, some people who take antihistamines get wired instead of drowsy. This biochemical individuality is not just isolated to medications; it’s even with very healthy foods.”

Mind Your Metabolism
So what does this mean for athletes? To gain a competitive edge and drive their bodies to operate at peak performance, athletes need to understand how their bodies metabolize and assimilate nutrients, and what kinds of residues various foods leave behind. “It’s like the old saying goes: ‘One man’s food is another man’s poison,’” Kuhl said. “You don’t really know what your type is. You could be eating exactly wrong for balancing your pH.”

Kuhl cited an example of a weightlifter who came to her clinic for help.
Though he ate a balanced, low-fat plant-based diet of complex carbohydrates, vegetables, fruits, lean meat and poultry, he felt sluggish and sick and tended toward foggy thinking. When he changed his diet to one centered on meat and fat, he felt like a new man. “He was very sick and his health was failing,” she said. “He ended up restoring his health by eating a diet that was primarily meat and fat, three times a day—and I’m talking red meat and fat, like coconut oil and saturated fat. He found that if he deviated too far from that, he noticed big changes in all aspects of his health, from digestion and mood to cognition.”

Protein and fat fueled his one-of-a-kind metabolism.
“I see this clinically all the time,” Kuhl said. “I’ve seen some people thrive on vegetarian diets, and others whose health goes down the toilet. According to the old school of alkaline eating, a vegetarian diet would be very alkaline, so therefore people should be balancing out their pH and feeling really good.
But I just don’t see that happen in all people.”

What’s Your Type?
To determine an individual’s unique biochemical blueprint so he or she
can formulate a customized neutral pH diet, Kuhl recommends athletes connect with a metabolic typing advisor, who can perform a number of
tests to determine their type. “You want to work with
someone who understands this kind of nutrition,” she advised.

Another option: Do a little research.
Kuhl recommends starting with a metabolic typing book
by William Wolcott called “The Metabolic Typing Diet.”

“It gives a really good background into this kind of nutrition & emphasizes how important it is to eat in a way that’s suitable for your specific biochemistry,” she said. “There’s a basic questionnaire you can fill out, and it’ll point you in the right direction. It wouldn’t be as accurate as doing a clinical assessment, but it’s going to give you some good insights. “It’s more complicated than choosing the right foods,” Kuhl said. “You have to know your type.”

Though each person’s nutritional needs are unique, various foods do leave behind an acidic, alkaline or neutral residue in the body, said nutrition experts Nicole Kuhl and Lisa Suriano.

The goal, generally, is to keep your shopping list balanced, leaning toward the alkaline side. Following are some acid, alkaline and neutral ash-producing foods:

Today, the United States faces a seemingly impossible set of global challenges: a dwindling clock on climate change; persistent nuclear proliferation; and democracies under threat from populism and authoritarianism. At home, the situation is no less challenging as inflation, white nationalist extremism, political polarization, and an unending pandemic cloud the future. Rarely has the Republic seemed so fraught and in jeopardy. Now is the time for clear headed analysis and prescription.

Yoshihiro Francis Fukuyama is an American political scientist, political economist, and writer of Japanese descent.

The Economist on Twitter: “The American era is over, says Francis Fukuyama.
Francis Fukuyama is wrong (as usual) in terms of scope. The era of America has ended…is it now an era of Western Hemispheric power?

Or… vague economic & political overlapping interests?

Haven’t Fukuyama’s theories caused enough bloodshed?

Pinko revolution: there’s no democracy in tyranny:
When I hear “values” I feel sick. Socialist profoundly devalued them.
There are no democratic values, what is left – is tyranny disguised as a
“fight” with the virus, as if it was the first time in history such a case.

Next will be to fight with climate etc. etc.
People, study Thomas Sowell: I can understand why he would be seeking redemption. Aside from a radical misunderstanding of markets, which are mechanism designs that couldn’t care less about liberalism, Fukuyama is entertaining. “The triumph of the West…is evident first of all in the total exhaustion of viable systematic alternatives to Western liberalism.”

The “American Era” sounds like an accusation or promotion of imperialism.
He argues that the country must instead sustain a world order that is “friendly to democratic values” in the #WorldAhead 2022, I got bad news for Time Magazine. You will live forever. But where you live that’s the question.

Most are headed to Eternity in Hell.
The new “worst-ever super-mutant” variant is now hitting South Africa …
just in time for the midterms. More mail-in voting will be needed, to be sure.
That’s exactly why US Postal Service employees — are exempt from Biden’s vaccination mandate “decree.” Need them on the job to deliver all the ballots needed to cheat… Mail-in voting is the new democracy.

One cheater gets many votes.
The Next 10 months will be hell – democrats will amp up everything they can to make such a tangled mess it will never get unraveled; I call it the midterm variant. The “election infection” It’s not going to work this time. Just saying. See as we have already found cure for covid 19 …. finding vaccine for these —
new #covid variants won’t be that concerning…and more over fatality rate of covid is very less about 1-3 % i.e 1-3 people die out of 100 infected patients.

Me: Yes, as was said during the presidential campaign, the most elaborate voter fraud strategy ever developed.

How convenient. A new super doper variant.
Fear and masks to keep the great unwashed in their quarters until 2022.

So why in the world would We Trust any(body)thing ….
They need a New Variant to justify the Fixes to the Current Formula.
From a place with only 6% vaccinated yet among the lowest deaths, do not
talk about cases because that is only used to inflate the numbers / risk. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. -John 10:1

Since all of the liberals are crying about “stolen land” on Thanksgiving,
I guess we can all expect that they will be first in line to give up their homes and their property, you know, since it’s stolen and all. We didn’t steal anything. Our ancestors fought and died for this land and unfortunately for the Natives, they lost that battle. Life isn’t fair. Too bad. The liberals act as if the native Americans were living in peace and harmony prior to immigration to the New World.

Begs the question: if history ended around 1992, then how did we get here?

Clinton Foundation Hedge Fund – Bing video
Bill Clinton’s tenure as the 42nd president of the United States began with
his first inauguration on January 20, 1993, and ended on January 20, 2001. Clinton, a Democrat from Arkansas, took office following a decisive victory over Republican incumbent president George H. W. Bush and independent businessman Ross Perot in the 1992 presidential election. Four years later,
in the 1996 presidential election, he defeated Republican nominee Bob Dole and Reform Party businessman Ross Perot to win re-election. Clinton was succeeded by Republican George W. Bush, who won the 2000 presidential election.

The nation experienced an extended period of economic prosperity during
the Clinton presidency. While the economy remained strong, his presidency oscillated dramatically from high to low and back again, which historian Gil Troy characterized in six Acts. Act I in early 1993 was “Bush League” with amateurish distractions.
By mid-1993 Clinton had recovered to Act II, passing a balanced budget and the NAFTA trade deal. Act III, 1994, saw the Republicans “mobilizing” under Newt Gingrich, defeating his healthcare reforms, and taking control of the House of Representatives for the first time in forty years. 1995-1997 saw the comeback in Act IV, with a triumphant reelection landslide. However, Act V, the Lewinsky scandal and impeachment made 1998 a lost year. Clinton concluded happily with Act VI by deregulating the banking system in 1999.[1]

As Joe Biden’s Polling Flounders, Hillary Clinton Comes Out to Bat for Him.
Months into his first term, he signed the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993, which raised taxes and set the stage for future budget surpluses.
Clinton signed the bipartisan Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act and won ratification of the North American Free Trade Agreement, despite opposition from trade unions and environmentalists. Clinton’s most ambitious legislative initiative, a plan to provide universal health care, faltered—it never had majority support in Congress.
In the 1994 elections, the Republican Revolution swept the country.
Clinton vetoed many of the Republican policies such as abortion restrictions. He assembled a bipartisan coalition to pass welfare reform and the health insurance for children.

We must reject this idea of “World Government”!
Whatever the globalists say the benefits will be, it will simply be a way to consolidate global power, influence and greed into even fewer hands. A country where the legislative capture by corporate capitalism is practically complete.

Francis Fukuyama ceased to be relevant in the 90s after he penned his weak sauce. @FukuyamaFrancis

Would that be the end of the end of history then?
Just out of curiosity, first time hearing about Francis Fukuyama. Read his story on wiki but can anyone elaborate on his importance? He is probably the one Asian who failed upwards with bad predictions time after time. A guy with a name that starts with a pejorative phrase might just have a pessimistic attitude.
Cheap shot, I know but odd to present considerations of hubris with so little reflection. The End of History and the Last Man. Not much else to say about his “critical thinking” but it’s great coffee table fodder.
How did this guy get another 15 minutes? Can’t make any more predictions after you predict the End of History. This is the end of your 15 minutes.
Wait, isn’t this the same guy who told us that history had ended, and liberal democracy had conquered everywhere?

The end of history was Fukuyama spiking the ball in the end zone after the collapse of Soviet communism. Capitalism had not yet exhausted its ability to create wealth that could (unequally) benefit all of society.  But he mistakenly believed the triumph of capitalism went hand in hand with US style liberal democracy. China proved this assumption wrong. Trumpism proved that, even in the US, liberal democracy retains only a tenuous grip on society. Capitalism doesn’t require democracy

A ‘World Government’ will be a monopoly.
What could possibly go wrong?

The political factions in the US that once plotted for power in the world are now focused on judgeships and school board elections, spewing virulent propaganda, and keeping an increasingly uneducated populace in a state of constant rage and mutual distrust.

Biden is slow, and maybe soon, he is going to be like Reagan, when Nancy was doing everything behind the scene. I think it’s only fair to also list all of Biden’s accomplishments. https://t.co/hoENioZE7O” / Twitter

It is not a funny situation to be in for a Superpower. Instability in society translates into political instability. With Trump, everything is possible.
Let’s remember this is the same guy who once claimed that history itself was over because western style liberal democracy had achieved hegemony. Whoops! So maybe we should take his (kind of opposite) proclamation of the end of American hegemony with a grain of salt.   Without U.S.A. involvement – The World as we know it would cease to exist!!!!

What democratic values?
We’re headed for a world order run by globalist psychos.
Empire’s end & arrogance, greed and corruption of entitled upper ranks are the cause. Leave behind the masses you invite terminal decline. Greater the inequality the weaker the society. Politicians fawning to industry before the people is not democracy. Not at this current time will that happen. The Boomers are holding onto out-of-date ideologies.

Climate in the United States | USA Facts/
The USA was an economic empire. Says the guy who announced The End of History.
I Can’t believe they are giving him a say. I always liked Huntington better.
So, what does Samuel Huntington think?

A NeW WoRld DiSOrDeR?
With China and Russia playing interference? And SO MANY Authoritarians in power? Not to mention the Pro-Authoritarian Trumpian GOP always waiting in the wings to grab power once again?  America is going to come back stronger than ever. When we audit the books of our government, we are going to confiscate all assets of those who did this. We are coming for you all.
We will regain power and we transform this country to its previous status before entitled globalism.  We want no part of a One World Order. We are free Americans and the Biden’s, Bush’s, Clinton’s, Obama’s who sold us us will face retribution in the courts.

THIS may be difficult.
Because you can’t starve us out and you can’t make us run. Cause we’re them old boys raised on shotguns and we say “grace” and we say “Ma’am” And if you aren’t into that we don’t give a damn. We’re from little towns all around this land.

Globalist world order schemes are never friendly to individual human creative purposes. Persons are not mass nor Nation’s globalist Petri dishes for social engineering experimentation that leads to one ordered system of contained existence.
The ‘new world order’ doesn’t require democracy but can be friendly to their own totalitarian values/dystopian ideas. World order implies world control. World control leads to the suppression of individual freedoms. World order only functions with a compliant society. Orwell said it best, “Big Brother wants to watch you.” Not sure America should sustain an oxymoronic “democratic world order.”

I agree with the peak of American hubris being the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, where it was thought that American military power would be enough to force changes of cultures in our own image. When all you have is a hammer, everything looks…. The economic fundamentals no longer apply, because any asset price can be manipulated using the leveraging power of the $2.3 Quadrillion Derivatives Market. Creating artificial supply & demand.

” He argues that the country must instead sustain…” Sorry but this will not be our problem. This will be the problem for the new hegemon.

“What are you still doing here? I thought I told you to go Fukuyama” Joe Pescie

Just what the Economist wants to hear, no? Just like what happens in churches – preachers tell people what they want to hear. Francis Fukuyama tells the Economist PRECISELY what it wants to hear, no?

Fukuyama is always wrong. But even blind hens sometimes get grain every once in a while

We are governed by the business model but this is relentlessly disguised by redirecting our attention.  Nothing has ever made me more bullish on America’s future than the Economist saying it’s finished.

Not the end of history. Not the end of “the American era.” Just the end of Fukuyama’s credibility and pop history. What thing he predicted to end doesn’t end next?

American History (The Overview.)

Diagram of the Federal Government and American Union, an example of a Constitutional Republic.

This print was published in 1862.retreived from Library of Congress

constitutional republic is a state where the chief executive and representatives are elected, and the rules are set down in a written constitution.
The head of state and other representatives are elected but they do not
have uncontrolled power. What their power is limited to is written in the constitution. If there is dispute about what the constitution means, this is decided by a court system that is independent from the representatives.
Constitutional republics usually have a separation of powers.
The separation of powers means that no single officeholder gets unlimited power. John Adams said that a constitutional republic was “a government
of laws, and not of men“.[1]
Supporters of such a republic  who? argue that it is meant to be a safeguard against “tyranny“. No office holder can get to a position of absolute power. However, some have argued that a constitution can be written in such a way that it lets tyranny arise, and that a constitution is therefore not a fail proof safeguard against tyranny.[2]
Aristotle was the first to write about the idea in his works on politics.
Constitutional monarchies are a special case: even though the monarch is not elected, the people still elect other governing bodies. The constitution also limits the power of the monarch.
Print shows the outline of 34 states and 9 territories, a Civil War battle scene, and Liberty holding the U.S. flag and sword riding on the back of an eagle, Lincoln and his cabinet (the secretaries linked to images of the Army, Navy, Treasury, Interior, P.O. Dept., and State Department) representing the “Executive” branch, the Senate and the House of Representatives representing the “Legislative” branch, and the Supreme Court representing the “Judicial” branch of the federal government. Also, cameo portraits of “The seven builders and leading spirits of the revolution.”

The Constitutional Republic is absent from the school curriculum because Marxists have taken over our classrooms. We are just like Portugal in the early 1900s. Progressives took over the country under the guise of democracy

Free speech, poverty and imprisoned clergy was the result.

The early 20th century was an era of business expansion and progressive reform in the United States. The progressives, as they called themselves, worked to make American society a better and safer place in which to live.
They tried to make big business more responsible through regulations of various kinds. They worked to clean up corrupt city governments, to improve working conditions in factories, and to better living conditions for those who lived in slum areas, a large number of whom were recent immigrants from Southern and Eastern Europe. Many progressives were also concerned with
the environment and conservation of resources.

This generation of Americans also hoped to make the world a more democratic place. At home, this meant expanding the right to vote to women and a number of election reforms such as the recall, referendum, and direct election of Senators. Abroad, it meant trying to make the world safe for democracy.
In 1917, the United States joined Great Britain and France–two democratic nations–in their war against autocratic Germany and Austria-Hungary. Soon after the Great War, the majority of Americans turned away from concern about foreign affairs, adopting an attitude of live and let live.
The 1920s, also known as the “roaring twenties” and as “the new era,” were similar to the Progressive Era in that America continued its economic growth and prosperity. The incomes of working people increased along with those of middle class and wealthier Americans. The major growth industry was automobile manufacturing. Americans fell in love with the automobile, which radically changed their way of life. On the other hand, the 1920s saw the decline of many reform activities that had been so widespread after 1900.

Automobiles in the Progressive and New Eras.
Sociologists Robert and Helen Lynd conducted a major study of American society during the 1920s. In 1929, they published their research in a book titled Middletown. “Middletown” was the name used to disguise Muncie, Indiana, the actual place where they conducted their research. One of their findings was that the automobile had transformed the lives of people living in Middletown and, by extension, virtually everywhere else in the United States.

Ford Roadster, ca.1923

Prosperity and Thrift, 1921-1929More specifically, the Lynds found that the automobile had such effects as the following: (1) family budgets had changed dramatically; (2) ministers complained that people drove their cars rather than going to church; (3) parents were concerned that their boys and girls were spending too much time together “motoring”; and (4) the car had revolutionized the way people spent their free time.
These primary sources also indicate the impact of the automobile on Americans’ lives. Some of those effects were seen as positive; others were much more troubling.

General Motors Bldg., Detroit, Mich.
In the early 1900s, the United States entered a period of peace, prosperity, and progress. In the nation’s growing cities, factory output grew, small businesses flourished, and incomes rose. As the promise of jobs and higher wages attracted more and more people into the cities, the U.S. began to shift to a nation of city dwellers. By 1900, 30 million people, or 30 percent of the total population, lived in cities.
The mass migration of people into the cities enriched some people but caused severe problems for others. For the emerging middle class, benefiting from growing incomes and increases in leisure time, the expanding city offered many advantages. Department stores, chain stores, and shopping centers emerged to meet the growing demand for material goods. Parks, amusement parks, and baseball stadiums were built to meet aesthetic and recreational needs. Transportation systems improved, as did the general infrastructure, better meeting the increased needs of the middle- & upper-class city dwellers.
Thousands of poor people also lived in the cities. Lured by the promise of prosperity, many rural families and immigrants from throughout the world arrived in the cities to work in the factories. It is estimated that by 1904 one in three people living in the cities was close to starving to death. For many of the urban poor, living in the city resulted in a decreased quality of life. With few city services to rely upon, the working class lived daily with overcrowding, inadequate water facilities, unpaved streets, and disease. Lagging far behind the middle-class, working-class wages provided little more than subsistence living and few, if any, opportunities for movement out of the city slums.

Conservation in the Progressive Era.

Yosemite Valley, California In the mid to late 19th century, natural resources were heavily exploited, especially in the West. Land speculators and developers took over large tracts of forests and grazing land. Acreage important to waterpower was seized by private concerns. Mining companies practiced improper and wasteful mining practices. Assuming a seemingly inexhaustible supply of natural resources, Americans developed a “tradition of waste.”
Alarmed by the public’s attitude toward natural resources as well as the exploitation of natural resources for private gain, conservationists called for federal supervision of the nation’s resources and the preservation of those resources for future generations. In President Theodore Roosevelt, the conservationists found a sympathetic ear and man of action. Conservation of the nation’s resources, putting an end to wasteful uses of raw materials, and the reclamation of large areas of neglected land have been identified as some of the major achievements of the Roosevelt era.

President Roosevelt’s concern for the environment was influenced by American naturalists, such as John Muir, and by his own political appointees, including Gifford Pinchot, Chief of Forestry. Working in concert with many individuals and organizations, the Roosevelt administration was responsible for the following: the Newlands Act of 1902, which funded irrigation projects from the proceeds of the sale of federal lands in the West; the appointment of the Inland Waterways Commission in 1907 to study the relation of rivers, soil, forest, waterpower development, and water transportation; and the National Conservation Commission of 1909, which was charged with drawing up long-range plans for preserving national resources. Along with a vocal group of conservationists, the Roosevelt administration created an environmental conservation movement whose words and actions continue to be heard and felt throughout the nation today.

[New York, N.Y., immigrants’ landing, Ellis Island] Detroit Publishing Company Between 1900 and 1915, more than 15 million immigrants arrived in the United States. That was about equal to the number of immigrants who had arrived in the previous 40 years combined. In 1910, three-fourths of New York City’s population were either immigrants or first-generation Americans
(i.e. the sons and daughters of immigrants).
Not only were the numbers of immigrants swelling, the countries from
which they came had changed dramatically as well. Unlike earlier immigrants, the majority of the newcomers after 1900 came from non-English speaking European countries. The principal source of immigrants was now southern and eastern Europe, especially Italy, Poland, and Russia, countries quite different in culture and language from the United States, and many immigrants had difficulty adjusting to life here.
At the same time, the United States had difficulty absorbing the immigrants. Most of the immigrants chose to settle in American cities, where jobs were located. As a result, the cities became ever more crowded. In addition, city services often failed to keep up with the flow of newcomers. Most of the immigrants did find jobs, although they often worked in jobs that most native-born Americans would not take. Over time, however, many immigrants succeeded in improving their condition.

Prohibition: A Case Study of Progressive Reform.

[Policeman standing alongside wrecked car and cases of moonshine] National Photo Company Collection The temperance movement, discouraging the use of alcoholic beverages, had been active and influential in the United States since at least the 1830s. Since the use of alcohol was often associated with such social ills as poverty and insanity, temperance often went hand in hand with other reform movements. From the 1850s onward, the temperance movement focused much of its efforts on Irish and German immigrants.
Temperance advocates did not always emphasize prohibiting the consumption of alcohol. But by the late 19th century, they did. The prohibition movement achieved initial successes at the local and state levels. It was most successful in rural southern and western states, and less successful in more urban states.
By the early 20th century, prohibition was a national movement.

Prohibition exhibited many of the characteristics of most progressive reforms. That is, it was concerned with the moral fabric of society; it was supported primarily by the middle classes; and it was aimed at controlling the “interests” (liquor distillers) and their connections with venal and corrupt politicians in city, state, and national governments. Still, it was not until U.S. entry into the Great War that prohibitionists were able to secure enactment of national legislation. In 1918, Congress passed the 18th Amendment to the Constitution, prohibiting the manufacture, transportation, and sale of alcoholic beverages. States ratified the Amendment the next year.
Herbert Hoover called prohibition a “noble experiment,” but the effort to regulate people’s behavior soon ran into trouble. Enforcement of prohibition became very difficult. Soon, such terms as “bootlegger,” “bathtub gin,” and “speakeasy” became household words. Gangs of hoodlums became more powerful as they trafficked in alcohol. By the 1930s, a majority of Americans had tired of the noble experiment, and the 18th Amendment was repealed.

Women’s Suffrage in the Progressive Era
Suffragists, April 22, 1913.

Immediately after the Civil War, Susan B. Anthony, a strong and outspoken advocate of women’s rights, demanded that the Fourteenth Amendment include a guarantee of the vote for women as well as for African-American males. In 1869, Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton founded the National Woman Suffrage Association. Later that year, Lucy Stone, Julia Ward Howe, and others formed the American Woman Suffrage Association. However, not until the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment in 1919 did women throughout the nation gain the right to vote.
During the late 1800s and early 1900s, women and women’s organizations,
not only, worked to gain the right to vote, they also worked for broad-based economic and political equality and for social reforms. Between 1880 and 1910, the number of women employed in the United States increased from 2.6 million to 7.8 million. Although women began to be employed in business and industry, the majority of better paying positions continued to go to men.
At the turn of the century, 60 percent of all working women were employed as domestic servants. In the area of politics, women gained the right to control their earnings, own property, and, in the case of divorce, take custody of their children.
By 1896, women had gained the right to vote in four states (Wyoming, Colorado, Idaho, and Utah). Women and women’s organizations also worked on behalf of many social and reform issues. By the beginning of the new century, women’s clubs in towns and cities across the nation were working to promote suffrage, better schools, the regulation of child labor, women in unions, and liquor prohibition.
Not all women believed in equality for the sexes. Women who upheld traditional gender roles argued that politics were improper for women.
Some even insisted that voting might cause some women to “grow beards.”
The challenge to traditional roles represented by the struggle for political, economic, and social equality was as threatening to some women as it was to most men.

U.S. Participation in the Great War (World War I)
Detroit Publishing Company War broke out in Europe in the summer of 1914, with the Central Powers led by Germany and Austria-Hungary on one side and the Allied countries led by Britain, France, and Russia on the other. At the start of the war, President Woodrow Wilson declared that the United States would be neutral. However, that neutrality was tested and fiercely debated in the U.S.
Submarine warfare in the Atlantic kept tensions high, and Germany’s sinking of the British ocean liner Lusitania on May 7, 1915, killed more than 120 U.S. citizens and provoked outrage in the U.S. In 1917, Germany’s attacks on American ships and its attempts to meddle in U.S.-Mexican relations drew the U.S. into the war on the side of the Allies. The United States declared war on Germany on April 6, 1917.

Within a few months, thousands of U.S. men were being drafted into the military and sent to intensive training. Women, even many who had never worked outside the home before, took jobs in factories producing supplies needed for the war effort, as well as serving in ambulance corps and the American Red Cross at home and abroad. Children were enlisted to sell war bonds and plant victory gardens in support of the war effort.
The United States sent more than a million troops to Europe, where they encountered a war unlike any other—one waged in trenches and in the air,
and one marked by the rise of such military technologies as the tank, the field telephone, and poison gas.

At the same time, the war shaped the culture of the U.S. After an Armistice agreement ended the fighting on November 11, 1918, the postwar years saw a wave of civil rights activism for equal rights for African Americans, the passage of an amendment securing women’s right to vote, and a larger role in world affairs for the United States.
As you explore the primary sources in this group, look for evidence of the different roles U.S. citizens played in the war effort, as well as the effects of
the war on the people of the United States.

America and World War II

When events began happening in Europe that would eventually lead to
World War II, many Americans took an increasingly hard line toward getting involved. The events of World War I had fed into the United States’ natural desire of isolationism, and this was reflected by the passage of Neutrality Acts and the general hands-off approach to the events that unfolded on the world stage.

Increasing Tensions.
While the United States was wallowing in neutrality and isolationism, events were occurring in Europe and Asia that were causing increasing tension across the regions.

These events included:
Totalitarianism as a form of government in the USSR (Joseph Stalin), Italy (Benito Mussolini), Germany (Adolf Hitler), and Spain (Francisco Franco)
A move toward fascism in Japan
The creation of Manchukuo, Japan’s puppet government in Manchuria, beginning the war in China
The conquest of Ethiopia by Mussolini
Revolution in Spain led by Francisco Franco
Germany’s continuing expansion including taking the Rhineland
The worldwide Great Depression
World War I allies with large debts, many of whom were not paying them off.
The United States passed the Neutrality Acts in 1935–1937, which created an embargo on all war item shipments. U.S. citizens were not allowed to travel on “belligerent” ships, and no belligerents were allowed loans in the United States.

The Road to War:
The actual war in Europe began with a series of events: Germany took Austria (1938) and the Sudtenland (1938) The Munich Pact was created (1938) with England and France agreeing to allow Hitler to keep the Sudetenland as long as no further expansion occurred
Hitler and Mussolini created the Rome-Berlin Axis military alliance to last 10 years (1939)
Japan entered an alliance with Germany and Italy (1939)
The Moscow-Berlin Pact occurred, promising nonaggression
between the two powers (1939) Hitler invaded Poland (1939)
England and France declared war on Germany (September 30, 1939)

The Changing American Attitude
At this time and despite President Franklin Roosevelt’s desire to help the allied powers of France and Great Britain, the only concession America made was to allow the sale of arms on a “cash and carry” basis.
Hitler continued to expand in Europe, taking Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, and Belgium. In June 1940, France fell to Germany. The speed of the expansion was noticed in the U.S. and the government began to reinforce the military.

The final break in isolationism began with the 1941 Lend-Lease Act, whereby America was allowed to “sell, transfer title to, exchange, lease, lend, or otherwise dispose of, to any such government…any defense article.” Great Britain promised not to export any of the lend-lease materials. After this, America built a base on Greenland and then issued the Atlantic Charter on August 14, 1941. The document was a joint declaration between Great Britain and the U.S. about the purposes of war against fascism. The Battle of the Atlantic began with German U-boats wreaking havoc. This battle would last throughout the war.

Pearl Harbor
The real event that changed America into a nation actively at war was the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. This was precipitated in July 1939 when Franklin Roosevelt announced that the U.S. would no longer trade items such as gasoline and iron to Japan, which needed it for its war with China. In July 1941, the Rome-Berlin-Tokyo Axis was created. The Japanese began occupying French Indo-China and the Philippines, and all Japanese assets were frozen in the U.S. On December 7, 1941, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, killing more than 2,000 people and damaging or destroying eight battleships, which seriously damaged the Pacific fleet. America officially entered the war and now had to fight on two fronts: Europe and the Pacific.

After the U.S. declared war on Japan, Germany and Italy declared war on the U.S. Strategically, at the beginning of the war the U.S. government began following a Germany First strategy, mainly because it posed the greatest threat to the West, it had a larger military, and it seemed the most likely to develop newer and more lethal weapons. One of the worst tragedies of World War II was the Holocaust, during which between 1933 and 1945 it is estimated that anywhere from 9 to 11 million Jews and others were killed. Only after the defeat of the Nazis were the concentration camps closed and the remaining survivors freed.

American Rationing:
Americans at home sacrificed while soldiers fought overseas. By the end of the war, more than 12 million American soldiers had joined or were drafted into the military. Widespread rationing occurred. For example, families were given coupons to purchase sugar based on the size of their families. They could not buy more than their coupons would allow. However, rationing covered more than just food—it also included goods such as shoes and gasoline.

Some items were just not available in America.
Silk stockings made in Japan were not available—they were replaced by the new synthetic nylon stockings. No automobiles were produced from February 1943 until the end of the war to move the manufacturing to war-specific items.
Many women entered the workforce to help make munitions and implements of war. These women were nicknamed “Rosie the Riveter” and were a central part of America’s success in war.

Japanese Relocation Camps.
Wartime restrictions were imposed on civil liberties. A real black mark on the American homefront was the Executive Order No. 9066 signed by Roosevelt in 1942. This ordered those of Japanese-American descent to be moved to “Relocation Camps.” This law eventually forced close to 120,000 Japanese-Americans in the western part of the United States to leave their homes and move to one of 10 “relocation” centers or to other facilities across the nation. Most of those relocated were American citizens by birth. They were forced to sell their homes, most for next to nothing, and take only what they could carry.

In 1988, President Ronald Reagan signed the Civil Liberties Act that provided redress for Japanese-Americans. Each living survivor was paid $20,000 for the forced incarceration. In 1989, President George H. W. Bush issued a formal apology.

America and Russia.
In the end, America came together to successfully defeat fascism abroad. The end of the war would send the U.S. into a Cold War due to concessions made to the Russians in exchange for their aid in defeating the Japanese. Communist Russia and the United States would be at odds with each other until the downfall of the USSR in 1989.

Destroy American History

Nothing like visiting the Native American History Museum to get pissed off.
I was having a similar conversation with a 12-year-old. His comment.

“I am finding out everything I was taught in elementary school about Thanksgiving is a lie. We are learning about the “new version” of Thanksgiving.
Unfortunately I didn’t have time to ask what that meant.

The Viking who Discovered North America

The Early Years of North America.
Leif Eriksson (also spelled Erikson or Ericson), believed to have been the first European to discover and explore the North American continent, was born most likely around 970 c.e. in Iceland. His father was the famed Erik the Red(thus Erik-son), and his mother was Thjodhild (likely of Irish origins).
Around 980 c.e, Erik the Red was exiled from Iceland for murder and sailed westward with his family to a land he had heard of, which he later called Greenland. Interestingly, Erik the Red followed in the footsteps of his own father, Thorvald Asvaldsson, who had been exiled from Norway for manslaughter, and had then fled to Iceland years ago.

More important than Christmas: 400 years of Thanksgiving
The 1621 Project: Why Thanksgiving is the quintessential American holiday

Dear American Cousins ….. you really should start taking a good hard look at yourselves. “Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered… History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present…” Orwell

Statues aren’t history. Statues are art.
“Moving a statue doesn’t mean New Yorkers will forget who Thomas Jefferson was — but some of them might learn from the controversy that the man who wrote ‘all men are created equal’ owned over 600 of his fellow humans,” Thompson said. ‘Nuff said,  It still says all men. And they meant all land owning men. It still doesn’t say all citizens and it never will. You know what’s crazy is what we consider “ok” nowadays like homosexuality, was exactly the same type of way they felt about slavery 200 years ago. Yawl need to realize that.

Ya it wasn’t moral but that’s how it was… the Roman’s thought pedophilia
was normal. Removing Thomas Jefferson literally means America has fallen.
Time changes things….  There’s no America any more. A statue doesn’t mean anything. Certainly, doesn’t mean that Jefferson can’t be taught.
Or that history has stopped. Teaching the founding fathers means being honest, not lionizing them and placing them on a pedestal, 0nce everything
is digital, History will be revised instantly, according to the narrative.

image.png
George III (1738–1820) – Encyclopedia Virginia A Different Song – A Short Story –
Abraham Lopez (abelopezauthor.com)

“Our memories won’t be our own, they will belong to the narrative now.”  Yep, Democrats banning books left and right, creating false narratives everywhere. Scary stuff.
So “The Big Lie”, book banning, rewriting the story of the insurrection, and gaslighting is stopping history?

There is a movement to erase US history so that the next generations of Americans forget who they are and what America stands for. It is the way communists will enslave our nation with their bad ideas. Removing statues isn’t erasing history. The patriots toppled the King George statue.
And yet…. Centuries later: we still know the history of his reign.

I like how there’s 100 years missing of a native wronging.

The Great Reset of White people and black people knowing

America started with their oppression Unamused face

So in the spirit of Thanksgiving are you going to teach your kids what the real pilgrims called themselves and wore?

Or are you cool with that history being falsified, rewritten, and repainted if it makes you feel good about yourself?

I don’t think Orwell would have appreciated having his quote used in this context, probably it would be more accurate to use it to describe the revision of history .
Let me check my history book and the thousand of books written about Jefferson…. yup he still existed even without a statue and the cool thing is…. wait for it….. I can read about him. Wow, almost like he is still there in history. Oh no it’s the end of history! We will be living in an Orwellian hellscape! They’re preserving history by placing the statue in a building that’s expressly for that purpose!

THE HORRORRRRRR!!!

Suddenly nobody will remember who Thomas Jefferson was, now that his statue is in a museum rather than in front of a building I’d never been to!
This isn’t Orwell. Nobody cared about history before, now some people do and are reacting the way you’d expect. This is progress. There’s plenty of material about Thomas Jefferson (and others) out there, even in exhibit form. Have you visited the AA museum in DC, where Jefferson is featured?

What about Monticello?
Perhaps around it we should erect 600 statues, one for every slave he owned in his lifetime. Tell me you haven’t actually read Orwell,

without telling me you haven’t actually read Orwell. Face with rolling eyesWoman facepalming

Trump said Washington & Jefferson statues will be next?
Surely then you can educate us on the “actual point” of the book, since apparently zero of it has anything to do with brainwashing/thought reform/thought control and totalitarianism.  Look, its “history”, and it is NOT intended to represent contemporary values. It is intended to honor a man who in his contemporary time owned slaves. Not unusual for the time. This does not devalue his contribution to both the past and the present.

Quoting Orwell. Really?!?! I suspect he would’ve had some choice things to say about the actions of some in the Republican Party right now – especially those denying the evidence of their own eyes when it came to Jan 6 (Pelosi’s Mob Mentality Started the Insurrection etc.)
I’m sure Orwell would have choice things to say about both parties. It’s not one sides fault, it’s both. And until we can see that, finger pointing will continue and nothing effective will get done.

There is a distinction between revising history and providing reference to an individual or event. This statue is being preserved, just moved from reverence. Your histrionics in equating these is disingenuous, at best.  I mean, didn’t all that already happen during Jim Crow?

Make excuses for people who own people in the land of the free “brehs.”

Time to tell the truth about our messy, dirty history….

ImAlive y’all  I’m Allin … Init to win it!!!

We must fight this enemy from within. This is the first step towards dismantling our Country and its Constitution. God’s people must stand up! Remember what God says to his people. It frankly is not clear of the point-
he is making. Tradition, as the saying goes, is just peer pressure from dead people. The present generation should not be bound by laws instituted by a previous generation?

“Through me (God) all things are possible!”
Prayer and faith can stop the evil that plagues us!

Discussions are the pros & cons of moving Jefferson statues interest far more than nonsensical debates about Confederate statues. The latter should never have been erected in the public square IMO. But Jefferson is an intellectual favorite of mine; I need to dig in on the issues.  Founders Online: The Earth Belongs in Usufruct to the Living (archives.gov)

You were one of the historians cited by NBC news a few years ago with a false claim about President Trump’s prediction. Will you publicly admit that you were wrong, and that Trump was right? Statues of Washington, Jefferson Aren’t ‘Next,’ But It’s Complicated, Historians Say (nbcnews.com)

Start with “Master of the Mountain” by Wiencek.
Maybe the ghosts of Burr and Hamilton reconciled in order to have a statue of a guy they both despised, removed. NYC is their city.

.#Madison disagreed: “My first thoughts, though coinciding with many of yours, lead me to view the doctrine as not in all respects compatible with the course of human affairs…Would not such a periodical revision engender pernicious factions…?” From James Madison to Thomas Jefferson, 4 February 1790 (archives.gov)

Thomas Jefferson statue leaves City Hall after 187 years (nypost.com)
Jefferson rewrote the bible:  “I am increasingly persuaded that the earth belongs exclusively to the living.

That one generation has no more right to bind another to its laws and judgments. Nor one independent nation has the right to command another.”–Thomas Jefferson

Except no one is erasing history, just removing a statue of someone who was tangential to NY. When it came to human freedom and liberty, Jefferson just talked the talk…

A lot of people wrote down all the shit he did and included a lot more information

than anyone could grasp from a statue. Thumbs up

Just because it’s being taken away from the public eye is not erasure.
If you read the article, it’s literally going to the New York Historical Society. Has anyone actually read the article?
“The 1833 statue will be on a long-term loan to the New York Historical Society, which plans to have Jefferson’s model survive in its lobby and reading room.”

This is just like:
Amazon.com: Master of the Mountain: Thomas Jefferson and His Slaves.
Fortunately, that never happened, hence the statue removal. “Erasing history” would be scrubbing all evidence that Jefferson owned slaves. Yes! And As great historian Bluto states “the Germans Bombed Pearl Harbor”.  “We will probably be judged not by the monuments we build but by those we have destroyed.” ~ The New York Times, 1963 Time to end “revisionist history” and its historical statues of fallacies in modern society.

image.png
Are you saying to rewrite the rewritten history to make it accurate?

A little more accurate is the problem or the fact that it has been reported incorrectly from the beginning is the problem.  Or, more people these days are offended that Jefferson held slaves and almost certainly raped at least one of them. History, and life, are messy. Get a grip. The guy from Kentucky who voted to bankrupt our nation multiple times wants us to know he is deeply concerned about what is happening in a city in another state and how it’s a grave threat to our country.

Teach history in classrooms. Statue has absolutely nothing to do with history-
I don’t get the controversy. He owned slaves. He should not have a public statue glorification just because he was in charge of the country at one point.  Jefferson’s on the fuckin’ money, dude! Was kicking a hornet’s nest and running for your security detail part of your special #Republican oath @RepThomasMassie

Yah. We are getting there. I went to Gettysburg a few weeks ago and saw that any image of the confederate flag was nowhere to be found on any books, pictures or displays. Are there Nazi flags all other the part of Dunkirk or the D-day landing sites? This is what the conversation really should have been about when they started removing Confederate Statues, not that I cared. They were not going to stop with confederate statues. When you want to take over a nation, change it, that nation’s history must go.

Jefferson Statue Removed for Imperfect Past (thewashingtonwick.com)

This is Sinister beyond belief…Even the Mega corps must now recognize
this is the end of even their wealth. A truly centralized evil will never be good for anyone. The Big fish always eat the little fish for now they share but not forever. Minions’ seats always get yanked. 1984 is a great fiction novel to read but it seems like it is becoming the reality we are currently living under more and more each day. Millennials don’t care about statues unless the statue is a NFT of a statue. What makes you pinpoint Millennials in any of this? Do you think this is a “brand new” movement? People of conscience have been fighting this fight for decades and decades! The “next” generation is pushing these issues. The old regime would not make fake news and let national monuments get destroyed or even make criminals the victims. They’ll figure it out soon enough when they realize the monster they created. Removing statues is actually creating more history. Don’t worry about it. When this happens in the UK just remember that they are lumps of metal.. Why the Jefferson Statue Needs to Stay Up in New York (rumble.com)

image.png
Thomas Jefferson is the R. Kelly of the American Enlightenment.

Thomas Jefferson was a philandering rapist who enslaved hundreds, and had a family with his wife’s half-sister. But he was president. Maybe it would have been better to leave the statue and put up a plaque telling the WHOLE truth, good and bad, about him. The Constitution is next. Cancelling Enlightenment principles has always been in the Democrat’s target. I really wish we’d start removing the crybabies instead of the history… it doesn’t define who we are, but it helped mold us into the greatest country on earth.
The good, the bad, and the ugly are all part of what built America. Unbelievable. #wakeupAmerica You find this problematic? How about states crafting history into some prostate spin? Speak out against one, speak out against all or you lack intellectual integrity! I’ve never seen a statue of Adam Smith, Edmund Burke, or Joseph de Maistre but somehow was able to study them and their works without bearing personal witness to their bronze,
pigeon-shit covered likeness in the public square.

Quit being so feckless and thirsty.

Funny how the right rewrites textbooks to cover the atrocities and wrongs the US has committed with no issue, but god forbid a statue of someone “George Floyd” who did bad is moved to a museum instead of govt grounds so their history can be better explained by “rewriting history!! The Four Olds: Erasing history is the symptom of a failing society.
“One of the early objectives of the Cultural Revolution in China … was to wipe out the ‘four olds’—old things, old ideas, old customs and old habits. “The ‘four olds’ had already suffered setbacks in the years of Communist rule preceding the Cultural Revolution, but the Maoist leadership tried to use the new revolutionary upsurge launched in 1966 to eliminate them completely.

We are, for all of our flaws, the greatest country on Earth and we owe a debt to our Founding Fathers for the blessings we receive every day. We can fix what is wrong without erasing what is right. Those who knew about this should have been building an expansive personal library of OLD editions of books, published works, reference materials to hold these GODless souls accountable. WHY do the ELITE have such libraries?

They KNOW. Do it now or lose your history forever.

Eagle vs. Turkey: America’s First Bird Controversy

Was Turkey Almost the National Bird of America? | Bald Eagle vs Turkey.
Did you know that the original choice for America’s National Symbol was not the bald eagle?

Find out which bird it was, and how the eagle was chosen. Nations often adopt animals as symbols: England has its lion, India its peacock. On the afternoon
of July 4, 1776, just after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Continental Congress appointed a committee made up of Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and Benjamin Franklin to select a design for an official national seal.

image.png
Bald Eagle | 5 FACTS

The three patriots had different ideas and none of them included the bald eagle. They finally agreed on a drawing of the woman Liberty holding a shield to represent the states. But the members of Congress weren’t inspired by the design and they consulted with William Barton, a Philadelphia artist who produced a new design that included a golden eagle. Because the golden eagle also flew over European nations, however, the federal lawmakers specified that the bird in the seal should be an American bald eagle.

On June 20, 1782, they approved the design that we recognize today.
At the time, the new nation was still at war with England, and the fierce-looking bird seemed to be an appropriate emblem. But from the start, the eagle was a controversial choice. Franklin scowled at it. “For my part,” he declared,
“I wish the eagle had not been chosen as the representative of this country.
He is a bird of bad moral character; he does not get his living honestly.
You may have seen him perched in some dead tree where, too lazy to fish for himself, he watches the labor of the fishing hawk and, when that diligent bird has at length taken a fish and is bearing it to his nest for his young ones, the bald eagle pursues him and takes the fish. With all this injustice, he is never in a good situation.”

image.png
  5 FACTS | Wild Turkey

Some people have since questioned whether the eagle would have been chosen to adorn the seal had the nation not been at war. A year after the Treaty of Paris ended the conflict with Great Britain, Franklin argued that the turkey would have been a more appropriate symbol. “A much more respectable bird and a true native of America,” he pointed out. Franklin conceded that the turkey was “a little vein and silly,” but maintained that it was nevertheless a “bird of courage” that “would not hesitate to attack a grenadier of the British guards who should presume to invade his farm yard with a red coat on.” Congress was not convinced, however. The eagle remained our national symbol.

In truth, both the turkey and the bald eagle are native to the Americas.
But if the issue is a bird that represents our nation, Americans can’t really lay exclusive claim to either species, since both traditionally ranged in Canada and Mexico as well.

Religious Exemption denied, and fired. Things are not looking up.”

Seychelles Island

HEALTH PROFILE SEYCHELLES (worldlifeexpectancy.com)

When I first started blogging back on December 21st 2011. One of the first countries that pop up on my status page with inside my control panel was the Seychelles, Alternate titles: Republic of Seychelles.

An island republic in the western Indian Oceancomprising about 115 islands, with lush tropical vegetation, beautiful beaches, and a wide variety of marine life. Situated between latitudes 4° and 11° S and longitudes 46° and 56° E, the major islands of Seychelles are located about 1,000 miles (1,600 km) east of Kenya and about 700 miles (1,100 km) northeast of Madagascar.
The capital, Victoria, is situated on the island of Mahé. And in each month the visitor from this tropical paradise has grown from there and today it has become a Top 10 country of visitors into this blogging world.

When I look at Cancer rates in the Seychelles, there was a slight decrease
to 132 new cases in 2013, but the figures increased in 2014 and 2015 when we recorded 211 and 234 cases, respectively. Cancer related deaths stood at 122
in 2011, while 111 people died of the disease in 2012. A slight decrease was recorded in 2013 when there were 100 cancer related deaths. It was revealed that between the period between 2009 and 2018, the registry has recorded 2,200 new cases of cancer comprising 1,090 males and 912 females. Of the 1,090 males, 590 have since passed while 399 females of the 912 have since passed from the disease.
Furthermore, research officer Ms. noted that cancer among children is on the rise with the registry recording 19 cases of cancer in children aged 0-14 years. Of the 19, 7 sufferers have since passed. According to Ms. Finesse, during the past year prostate cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancers and cervical cancer have been the most diagnosed types of cancer as well as lung cancer, which seems to have increased as compared to previous years.
According to the health professionals there are numerous factors that contribute towards cancer including persons from families with a history of cancer, persons who are obese, persons with poor diets, persons who consume tobacco and alcohol as well as others who may be at risk through their occupation, for instance, petrol attendants who breathe in toxic fumes regularly. On a more general note, Ms. Finesse attributed the increase in cancer to better diagnosis and to an ageing population. “If you have an ageing population, it is likely that the incidence rate is higher,” she noted.

Dr Johanna Rapanarilala noted that there are numerous treatments available from the Ministry of Health for different types of cancer. She noted that the five types of cancer most common in Seychelles can be easily detected through screenings.
She noted that surgery is available but this is not suitable to all types of cancer, nor different stages of the disease. When surgery is not an option, patients are treated through chemotherapy which involves injecting medication into the veins. Other modalities include the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine given to young girls, radiotherapy through a controlled dose frequently and immunotherapy. Immunotherapy also involves injecting medication into the affected organ or body part.
Dr Reginald noted that cancer is often diagnosed once it is in advanced stages such as stage three and stage four, the stages at which it is more aggressive.
“One thing which is important is for an individual to know their body. Someone can diagnose themselves if they know their bodies and notice something abnormal,” he said, advising that individuals should consult health professionals whenever they notice any abnormalities in their bodies.

Ms. Shroff explained that cancer cells are cells that are resistant to the body’s defence system and which can reproduce at a faster rate than normal cells.
“So the function of the cell is not normal. For instance, it can change its metabolic rate and multiplies faster and develops into a cancer.
What is important is that we do not expose ourselves to risks that increase chances of developing cancer,” she stated.
The Ministry of Health has provided training for improved data collection on cancer from all health centres. An American professor is expected to arrive by the end of the month to train nurses and other health professionals.
The ministry has also been conducting an education campaign during the month of October on cancer. This year, they partnered with the Cancer Concern Association, Soroptimist International Club of Victoria and the female members of the National Assembly.
Among the activities organised have been ‘Brave the Shave’ in Victoria, screenings and a sports day. This Saturday, the ministry will be taking the activities to La Digue with a screening at Logan’s Hospital and a mass and screening at Perseverance at the end of the month.

Seychelles – Our World in Data

Relief and climate
Seychelles, one of the world’s smallest countries, is composed of two main island groups: the Mahé group of more than 40 central, mountainous granitic islands and a second group of more than 70 outer, flat, coralline islands. The islands of the Mahé group are rocky and typically have a narrow coastal strip and a central range of hills. The overall aspect of those islands, with their lush tropical vegetation, is that of high hanging gardens overlooking silver-white beaches and clear lagoons.
The highest point in Seychelles, Morne Seychellois (2,969 feet [905 metres]), situated on Mahé, is located within this mountainous island group. The coralline islands, rising only a few feet above sea level, are flat with elevated coral reefs at different stages of formation. These islands are largely waterless, and very few have a resident population.

The climate is tropical oceanic, with little temperature variation during the year. Daily temperatures rise to the mid-80s F (low 30s C) in the afternoon and fall to the low 70s F (low 20s C) at night.
Precipitation levels vary greatly from island to island; on Mahé, annual precipitation ranges from 90 inches (2,300 mm) at sea level to 140 inches (3,560 mm) on the mountain slopes. Humidity is persistently high but is ameliorated somewhat in locations windward of the prevailing southeast trade winds.

Plant and animal life.
Of the roughly 200 plant species found in Seychelles, some 80 are unique to the islands, including screw pines (see pandanus), several varieties of jellyfish trees, latanier palms, the bois rouge, the bois de fer, Wright’s gardenia, and the most famous, the coco de mer. The coco de mer—which is found on only two islands—produces a fruit that is one of the largest and heaviest known and is valued by a number of Asian cultures for believed aphrodisiac, medicinal, mystic, and other properties. The Seychellois government closely monitors the quantity and status of the trees, and, although commerce is regulated to prevent overharvesting, poaching is a concern.

Wildlife includes a remarkably diverse array of marine life, including more than 900 identified species of fish; green sea turtles and giant tortoises also inhabit the islands.
Endemic species include birds such as Seychelles bulbuls and cave-dwelling Seychelles swiftlets; several species of local tree frogs, snails, and wormlike caecilians; Seychelles wolf snakes and house snakes; tiger chameleons; and others. Endemic mammals are few; both fruit bats (Pteropus seychellensis) and Seychelles sheath-tailed bats (Coleura seychellensis) are endemic to the islands. Indian mynas, barn owls, and tenrecs (small shrew-like or hedgehog-like mammals introduced from Madagascar) are also found.

Considerable efforts have been made to preserve the islands’ marked biodiversity. Seychelles’ government has established several nature preserves and marine parks, including the Aldabra Islands and Vallée de Mai National Park, both UNESCO World Heritage sites. The Aldabra Islands, a large atoll, are the site of a preserve inhabited by tens of thousands of giant tortoises, the world’s oldest living creatures, which government conservation efforts have helped rescue from the brink of extinction. Vallée de Mai National Park is the only place where all six of the palm species endemic to Seychelles, including the coco de mer, may be found together.

Cousin Island is home to a sanctuary for land birds, many endemic to the islands, including the Seychelles sunbird (a type of hummingbird) and the Seychelles brush warbler. The nearby Cousine Island is part private resort and part nature preserve, noted for its sea turtles, giant tortoises, and assorted land birds. Bird Island is the breeding ground for millions of terns, turtle & doves,  shearwatersfrigate birds, and other seabirds that flock there each year.

People of Seychelles: Ethnic groups, languages, and religion.
The original French colonists on the previously uninhabited islands, along with their black slaves, were joined in the 19th century by deportees from France. Asians from China, India, and Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia) arrived later in smaller numbers. Widespread intermarriage has resulted in a population of mixed descent.

Settlement patterns and demographic trends.
More than four-fifths of the population lives in Mahé, many in the capital city, Victoria. The birth and death rates, as well as the annual population growth rate, are below the global average. Some one-fifth of the population
is younger than age 15, and an additional one-sixth is under age 30.
Life expectancy for both men and women is significantly higher
than the global average.

Economy.
Seychelles has a mixed developing economy that is heavily dependent upon the service sector in general and the tourism industry in particular. Despite continued visible trade deficits, the economy has experienced steady growth. The gross domestic product is growing more rapidly than the population. The gross national income (GNI) per capita is significantly higher than
those found in most nearby continental African countries.

Agriculture, forestry, and fishing.
.Agriculture accounts for only a fraction of the GDP and employs an equally modest proportion of the workforce. Arable land is limited and the soil is generally poor—and the country remains dependent upon imported foodstuffs—but copra (from coconuts), cinnamon bark, vanilla, tea, limes, and essential oils are exported. Seychelles has a modern fishing industry that supplies both domestic and foreign markets; canned tuna is a particularly important product. The extraction of guano for export is also an established economic activity.

Manufacturing, finance, and trade.
The country’s growing manufacturing sector—which has expanded to account for almost one-sixth of the total GDP—is composed largely of food-processing plants; production of alcoholic beverages and of soft drinks is particularly significant. Animal feed, paint, and other goods are also produced.

Seychelles: Major import sources

Seychelles’ sizable trade deficit is offset by income from the tourism industry and from aid and investment. Although the country’s relative prosperity has not made it a preferred aid recipient, it does receive assistance from the World Bank, the European Union, the African Development Bank, and a variety of contributing countries, and aid obtained per capita is relatively high.
The Central Bank of Seychelles, located in Victoria, issues the official currency, the Seychelles rupee.

Seychelles: Major export destinations
Seychelles: Major export destinations @Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc.

Seychelles’ main imports are petroleum products, machinery, and foodstuffs. Canned tuna, copra, frozen fish, and cinnamon are the most important exports, together with the reexport of petroleum products. Significant trade partners include France, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and Italy.

Services
The service sector accounts for nearly four-fifths of the GDP and employs the largest proportion of the workforce, almost three-fourths of all laborers. After the opening of an international airport on Mahé in 1971, the tourism industry grew rapidly, and at the beginning of the 21st century it provided almost one-fourth of the total GDP. Each year Seychelles draws thousands of tourists, many attracted by the islands’ magnificent venues for scuba diving, surfing, windsurfing, fishing, swimming, and sunbathing. The warm southeasterly trade winds offer ideal conditions for sailing, and the waters around Mahé
and the other islands are afloat with small boats.

Transportation and telecommunications.
The majority of Seychelles’ roadways are paved, most of which are on the islands of Mahé and Praslin; there are no railroads. Ferry services operate between the islands—for example, linking Victoria with destinations that include Praslin and La Digue. Air service is centred on Seychelles International Airport, located near Victoria on Mahé, and the smaller airports and airstrips found on several islands.
Seychelles has air connections with a number of foreign cities and direct flights to major centres that include London, Paris, Frankfurt, Rome, and Bangkok. Scheduled domestic flights, provided by Air Seychelles, chiefly offer service between Mahé and Praslin, although chartered flights elsewhere are also available. The tsunami that reached Seychelles in 2004 damaged portions of the transportation infrastructure, including the road linking Victoria with the international airport.

Telecommunications infrastructure in Seychelles is quite developed.
The country has a high rate of cellular telephone use—among the highest in sub-Saharan Africa—and, at the beginning of the 21st century, the use of personal computers in Seychelles was several times the average for the region.

Government and society

Constitutional framework and local government
Under the 1993 constitution, since amended, Seychelles is a republic.
The head of state and government is the president, who is directly elected by popular vote and may hold office for up to two consecutive five-year terms. Members of the National Assembly serve five-year terms. A majority of the available National Assembly seats are filled by direct election; a smaller portion are distributed on a proportional basis to those parties that win a minimum of one-tenth of the vote. The president appoints a Council of Ministers, which acts as an advisory body. The country is divided into 25 administrative divisions.

Justice and political process.
The Seychellois judiciary includes a Court of Appeal, a Supreme Court, and Magistrates’ Courts; the Constitutional Court is a branch of the Supreme Court. Suffrage is universal; Seychellois are eligible to vote at age 17.
Women participate actively in the government of the country and have held numerous posts, including positions in the cabinet and a proportion of seats in the National Assembly.
The People’s Party (formerly the Seychelles People’s Progressive Front) was the sole legal party from 1978 until 1991. It is still the country’s primary political party, but other parties are also active in Seychellois politics, including the New Democratic Party (formerly the Seychelles Democratic Party), the Seychelles National Party, and the Seychelles Movement for Democracy.

Security, housing, and education.
Seychelles’ defense forces are made up of an army, a coast guard (including naval and airborne wings), and a national guard. There is no conscription; military service is voluntary, and individuals are generally eligible at age 18 (although younger individuals may serve with parental consent).
In general, homes play a highly visible part in maintaining traditional Seychellois life. Many old colonial houses are well preserved, although corrugated iron roofs have generally replaced the indigenous palm thatch. Groups tend to gather on the verandahs of their houses, which are generally recognized as social centres.

The basis of the school system is a free, compulsory, 10-year public school education. Education standards have risen steadily, and nearly all children of primary-school age attend school. The country’s first university, the University of Seychelles, began accepting students in 2009. The literacy rate in Seychelles is significantly higher than the regional and global averages for both men and women.

Cultural life.
Seychellois culture has been shaped by a combination of European, African, and Asian influences. The main European influence is French, recognizable in Seselwa, the Creole language that is the lingua franca of the islands, and in Seychellois food and religion; the French introduced Roman Catholicism, the religion of the majority of the islanders. African influence is revealed in local music and dance as well as in Seselwa. Asian elements are evident in the islands’ cuisine but are particularly dominant in business and trade.
Holidays observed in Seychelles include Liberation Day, which commemorates  the anniversary of the 1977 coup, on June 5; National Day, June 18; Independence Day, June 29; the Feast of the AssumptionAugust 15; All Saints’ DayNovember 1; the Feast of the Immaculate ConceptionDecember 8; and Christmas, December 25.

Because of the exorbitant expense of the large and lavish wedding receptions that are part of Seychellois tradition, many couples never marry; instead, they may choose to live in ménage, achieving a de facto union by cohabitation without marriage. There is little or no social stigma related to living en ménage, and the arrangement is recognized by the couple’s family and friends. The instance of couples living en ménage increases particularly among lower income groups.

Dance plays an important role in Seychellois society. Both the séga and the moutya, two of the most famous dances performed in Seychelles, mirror traditional African customs. The sensual dances blend religion and social relations, two elements central to African life. The complicated and compelling dance movements were traditionally carried out under moonlight to the beat of African drums. Dances were once regular events in village halls, but these have largely died out in recent years; now dances take place in modern nightclubs.

Sports and recreation.
Seychellois enjoy participating in and watching several team sports. The national stadium, located in Victoria, offers a year-round program of events. Men’s and women’s volleyball are popular, and several Seychellois players and referees participate at the international level. Football (soccer) is also a favourite, and Seychellois teams frequently travel to East Africa and India to play in exhibition matches and tournaments. The Seychelles national Olympic committee was established in 1979 and was recognized that year by the International Olympic Committee. The country made its official Olympic debut at the 1980 Moscow Games, but its first Olympic athlete was Henri Dauban de Silhouette, who competed for Great Britain in the javelin throw at the 1924 Paris Games.

Media and publishing.
Much of the country’s radio, television, and print media is under government control.
There are several independent publications, including Seychelles Weekly and Vizyon.

History of Seychelles.
The islands were known by traders from the Persian Gulf centuries ago, but the first recorded landing on the uninhabited Seychelles was made in 1609 by an expedition of the British East India Company. The archipelago was explored by the Frenchman Lazare Picault in 1742 and 1744 and was formally annexed to France in 1756. The archipelago was named Séchelles, later changed by the British to Seychelles. War between France and Britain led to the surrender of the archipelago to the British in 1810, and it was formally ceded to Great Britain by the Treaty of Paris in 1814.
The abolition of slavery in the 1830s deprived the islands’ European colonists of their labour force and compelled them to switch from raising cotton and grains to cultivating less-labour-intensive crops such as coconut, vanilla, and cinnamon. In 1903 Seychelles—until that time administered as a dependency of Mauritius—became a separate British crown colony.

A Legislative Council with elected members was introduced in 1948.
In 1963 the United States leased an area on the main island, Mahé, and built an air force satellite tracking station there; this brought regular air travel to Seychelles for the first time, in the form of a weekly seaplane shuttle that operated from MombasaKenya.
In 1970 Seychelles obtained a new constitution, universal adult suffrage, and a governing council with an elected majority. Self-government was granted in 1975 and independence in 1976, within the Commonwealth of Nations.
In 1975 a coalition government was formed with James R. Mancham as president and France-Albert René as prime minister. In 1977, while Mancham was abroad, René became president in a coup d’état led by the Seychelles People’s United Party (later restyled the Seychelles People’s Progressive Front [SPPF], from 2009 the People’s Party [Parti Lepep], from 2018 United Seychelles).

In 1979 a new constitution transformed Seychelles into a one-party socialist state, with René’s SPPF designated the only legal party. This change was not popular with many Seychellois, and during the 1980s there were several coup attempts. Faced with mounting pressure from the country’s primary sources of foreign aid, René’s administration began moving toward more democratic rule in the early 1990s, with the return of multiparty politics and the promulgation of a new constitution.
The country also gradually abandoned its socialist economy and began to follow market-based economic strategies by privatizing most parastatal companies, encouraging foreign investment, and focusing efforts on marketing Seychelles as an offshore business and financial hub. As Seychelles entered the 21st century, the SPPF continued to dominate the political scene. After the return of multiparty elections, René was reelected three times before eventually resigning in April 2004 to allow Vice Pres. James Michel to succeed him as president.

In late 2004 some of the islands were hit by a tsunami, which severely damaged the environment and the country’s economy. The economy was an important topic in the campaigning leading up to the presidential election of 2006, in which Michel emerged with a narrow victory to win his first elected term. He was reelected in 2011. One of Michel’s ongoing concerns was piracy in the Indian Ocean, which had surged since 2009 and threatened the country’s fishing and tourism industries. To that end, the Seychellois government worked with several other countries and international organizations to curb the illegal activity.

In October 2015 Michel called for an early presidential election, rather than wait until it was due in 2016. Michel was standing for his third term, again representing the People’s Party. The election was held December 3–5, 2015. For the first time since the return of multiparty politics in 1993, the People’s Party’s candidate did not win outright in the first round of voting. Michel garnered 47.76 percent of the vote; his nearest challenger was Wavel Ramkalawan of the Seychelles National Party (SNP), who took 33.93 percent.
Ramkalawan was an Anglican priest who was the leader of the SNP and had run for president in previous elections.
The runoff election was held December 16–18. On December 19 Michel was declared the winner by a very narrow margin, taking 50.15 percent of the vote, with only 193 votes between him and Ramkalawan. Michel was quickly sworn in the next day for his third term.
Ramkalawan voiced allegations of voting irregularities and filed two petitions with the Constitutional Court with the goal of having the election results nullified: one claiming that neither candidate had received an absolute majority of the votes cast and another alleging that voting irregularities and electoral noncompliance had occurred. In May 2016 the court dismissed both petitions and upheld Michel’s victory but did note that there had been instances of voting irregularities and noncompliance with electoral laws.

In April 2016 the constitution was amended to change the number of consecutive terms that a president could serve. The number of terms was reduced from three to two. Legislative elections were held September 8–10, 2016. For the first time since independence, the People’s Party did not take a majority of the legislative seats. Instead, Linyon Demokratik Seselwa (LDS), an amalgamation of Ramkalawan’s SNP and other opposition parties, took control of the National Assembly, winning 15 of the 25 directly elected seats and receiving 4 of the 8 proportional representation seats while the People’s Party won and received the rest of the directly elected and proportional representation seats. The new legislators were sworn in on September 27, 2016. Later that day Michel announced that he would step down as president, citing the need for new leadership. He formally resigned on October 16, and vice president Danny Faure was sworn in as president to complete the rest of Michel’s term.

The gradual erosion of support that the People’s Party—now known as United Seychelles—had experienced in the last legislative and presidential polls continued in the October 2020 presidential election when, for the first time, voters did not elect its flag bearer.
Incumbent President Faure was defeated by perennial opposition candidate Ramkalawan who, representing the LDS, took almost 55 percent of the vote. The LDS also increased its representation in the National Assembly, winning 20 of the 25 directly elected seats and receiving 5 of 9 proportional representation seats in the National Assembly. United Seychelles received the rest of the body’s seats, winning 6 and receiving 4 proportional representation seats. Ramkalawan was sworn in on October 26; the new legislators, on October 28, 2020.

The Marxist Hijacking of America

My Sister Was a FemiNazi Behind the Marxist Hijacking of Education, Libraries & Government.

Learn More: The Jeff Dornik Show (rumble.com)
Politick Rick and Mallory Millett from The Giant slayers joined this episode
of The Jeff Dornik Show to break down exactly how the Marxists were able to infiltrate every aspect of American life for the purpose of destroying our nation from within. In fact, Mallory shared that her sister, Kate, was behind the normalizing off polygamy, bestiality, Satanism, pornography, promiscuity, witchcraft and pedophilia, as well as the hijacking of the schools, libraries and government.

Last year I published two books alongside many Conservative and Christians friends of mine, including Pastor Greg Locke, Denise McAllister and Frank Speech’s Brannon Howse, tackling how the Marxists have been able to infiltrate into the Christian Church. Those books are called Social Injustice: Exposing the False Gospel of the Social Justice Movement and Church & State: How the Left Used the Church to Conquer America.

We’ve seen just how depraved the progressive movement is. They are actively attacking Biblical gender roles, promoting the murder of millions of babies every year, downplaying the importance of the family and attempting to change what the Bible teaches about issues like homosexuality and transgenderism. Shockingly, many of these teachings have found their way into the Christian churches, which we wrote about in those two books.

While I’ve really focused on Marxism and Social Justice within the Evangelical Church, it’s also important to understand how they’ve been able to infiltrate and overthrow the American system. For that, I brought on experts Politick Rick and Mallory Millett. The interesting thing about Mallory is that her sister is one of the primary people responsible for just how deeply entrenched the Marxists have gotten into both the education system and our very own government.

“Mallory’s sister and feminist icon Kate Millett passed away recently in Paris
at the age of 82. Her 1970 book, Sexual Politics, called “the Bible of Women’s Liberation” by the New York Times, had a seismic effect on feminist thought and launched Millett as what the Times called “a defining architect of second-wave feminism.” In a cover story that same year, TIME magazine crowned her “the Mao Tse-tung of Women’s Liberation.” Fellow feminist Andrea Dworkin said that Millett woke up a sleeping world.

The burning objective of Kate’s “consciousness-raising” was “the destruction of the American family,” as she deemed it “a patriarchal institution devoted to the oppression and enslavement of women and children.”

They went on to form NOW and, with that organization, achieve their stated goal of taking down the Patriarchy through a massive coordinated promotion of promiscuity, eroticism, prostitution, abortion and homosexuality.
Their proposed method was to infiltrate every institution in the nation:
the universities, the media, primary and secondary schools, PTAs, Teachers Unions, city and state governments, the library system, the executive branches of government as well as the judiciaries and legislatures.

One of their most desired results was the smashing of every taboo in Western culture. The normalizing of every taboo: polygamy, bestiality, Satanism, pornography, promiscuity, witchcraft, pedophilia – all activities which rot the human soul and culture. Nothing burns down a society with such dispatch and totality as the unleashing of taboos.

Mallory made a comment recently that quite literally is the antidote to the effects of the Marxist takeover of our Country. She said, “Men should run business and women should run society.” It’s almost as though Gramsci was thinking about exactly this as he devised his plan to steal the culture & society of the Capitalist countries he desired to convert to Marxism. He knew that our religion, culture and society had to be hijacked in order for their Marxist takeover to be successful. Interesting ……. aren’t those the very things that women teach our children, or they used to. Given our current circumstances.

I suggest running society may be a lot more important than running business.”
Many people do not understand the gravity of the progressive movement and just how deeply entrenched they are in our society. Conservatives keep trying to wage the battle on the Federal level. The “Femi Nazis” (as Mallory refers to them) understood just how important local politics and infrastructure is.
They played the long game, which is a major weakness of the Conservative Movement. If we want to take back our country, we’ve got to infiltrate right back into our local school boards, city councils, library systems and virtually every aspect of influence in our nation. If we continue to just care about Washington DC, we have no chance.

Why the Biden Administration is taking every opportunity to usher in hyper-inflation, the dollar is more than likely to continue to tank. Whether it’s the multi-trillion dollar Build Back Better “infrastructure bill” or raising the minimum wage, all it’s doing is making the value of your dollar less stable.
One of the things financial experts consistently recommend is owning assets that will protect you from losing your life’s savings. The End of the American Era: Life Without a Foundational Morality – Freedom First Network.

Suspect in Waukesha tragedy social media filled with messages of hate against LGBTQ, Jews, whites, police, capitalism, Obama and more | The Post Millennial

Remember this morning when the corporate media tried to push the narrative that the terrorist in Waukesha… was fleeing a crime scene… spinning it as if it was an accident? Not just the corporate media, even local leaders will not call it what it was!

They’re all cowards afraid of the mob. Today we have red communities across S.E. WISC. canceling their Christmas parades because they are scared and don’t know how to prevent another attack like this. Fleeing a crime justifies creating another crime scene?

Can’t make this crap up!

Suspect in Waukesha tragedy social media filled with messages of hate against LGBTQ, Jews, whites, police, capitalism, Obama and more | The Post Millennial

UPDATE: SoundCloud Rapper MathBoi Fly aka Darrell Edward Brooks Jr. claims to be a terrorist in one of his songs. He drove a car into a crowd of people in #Waukesha killing five and injuring 40.

Who was the man accused of plowing an SUV into a Christmas parade in suburban Milwaukee was apparently leaving the scene of a domestic dispute that had taken place just minutes earlier, Waukesha’s police chief said Monday. Look at his social media posts and tell me that this wasn’t premeditated Downtown Waukesha is somewhere you intend to drive through, it isn’t just along the way…. When an event like this is going on its busy. I’m not buying fleeing from a scene…… Waukesha is a strange town to drive through just by looking at a map.

Local police reported that they were NOT in pursuit. Impossible that he did not drive through the crowd on purpose. He saw the hundreds of people and made the conscious decision to accelerate through the crowd and kill people. He did not stop. Check out How many minutes earlier? 5, 110? Police say they were not in pursuit. The Parade route was blocked off. He hit 70+ people over several blocks without stopping or attempting to get off route until he had reached its end.

This seems intentional. And the motive doesn’t seem to be fleeing. Must’ve been some kind of domestic dispute for him to travel at such a high rate of speed…which when the details emerge the story will be different.

This guy is why they invented the term “throw away the key”.

CBS News on Twitter: “”This is not a terrorist event,” Waukesha Police Chief Daniel Thompson says during a presser one day after an SUV rammed into bystanders and participants at a Christmas parade “We are confident he acted alone.” https://t.co/MYfxyj9zNV” / Twitter

In Nice (France), the same horror occured in 2016 (one guy with a van killing 86 people – more than 400 wounded), and police found it was terrorism. I’m pretty sure if you look up the definition of terrorism. It doesn’t include a buddy system. I’d like to know what they define “terrorist event” as. Looked pretty terrifying to me. We are more concerned about what to call it vs. what happened. Ridiculous: So did Sirhan Sirhan, John Hinckley, Squeaky Fromme, Timothy McVeigh, etc. I think they all qualify as terrorists.
I didn’t realize there was a minimum amount of people that needed to be involved. Terrorism is killing random, indiscriminate people for political or religious reasons. “Acting alone” has nothing to do with it. I didn’t know there was a threshold minimum number of killers for it to be called a terrorist attack. I’m sure the grieving families will feel much better knowing that. Were there any signs of terrorism? –

You mean, other than the dead bodies?
Suicide bombers usually work alone. Stephen Paddock was alone in Las Vegas.

Adam Lanza was alone at Sandy Hook. Dylann Roof was alone in Charleston.
The definition of terrorist is “a person who engages in terrorism.” Not people!

Why don’t they call him what he is.?! A terrorist.

Because they’d have to admit BLM was a terrorist organization. Doesn’t fit the narrative – he wasn’t white…. That’s why!

Funny thing, I watched many different videos and never saw one ambulance or EMT, just a lot of police vehicles. Most parades the roads are blocked by police vehicles.

. Thinking faceThinking faceThinking face

This sounds very similar to the 2017 Charlottesville terrorist attack.

One person driving his car into a crowd of people. Yes, that one was a hate filled protest. But this was just a Christmas Parade and was not driven by hate. That makes this more heinous. Until they can determine the motive, nothing should be ruled out. It should be pretty basic principles.

So did the Unibomber and that was a terrorist actWoman facepalming

Waukesha Christmas horror: Milwaukee DA announces internal review of Darrell Brooks bail recommendation | Fox News

Weren’t there 3 people in the car??

I thought I saw a photo with one with a black hood covering his face while pointing a rifle out the passenger window?
I heard the same. 1 caught and 2 fled the scene, WI Suspect was out on bail for trying to RUN OVER the mother of his child! 2 days later, the parade tragedy happens. And he is OUT ON BAIL AGAIN! Darrell Brooks expressed black national antisemitic views – Law Officer

The judge and police chief of Waukesha need to WAKE UP! DARRELL BROOKS IS OUTTA JAIL ALREADY (LOW BAIL), Out of curiosity, weren’t terrorists that worked by themselves referred to as a “lone wolf” at one time? Or does that narrative change similar to the goal posts. A police chief unaware of “lone wolf” terrorism? Come on man. I believe the term is “Lone Wolf”.

So, the 2 passengers with him in the truck just vanished before their eyes? Say it again — Domestic terrorism or homegrown terrorism is a form of terrorism in which victims “within a country are targeted by a perpetrator with the same citizenship” as the victims. WHAT???? It sure was, he can say all day long it wasn’t. It was a TERRORIST ATTACK.

Darrell Brooks Jr. will be charged with five counts first-degree intentional homicide on Tuesday.

The Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office will file charges against 39-year-old Darrell Brooks Jr., the suspected driver who plowed through a crowd during the Waukesha holiday parade Sunday afternoon.

The DA’s office will bring forward initial charges Tuesday and additional charges at a later date.

“Law enforcement is continuing its investigation into this matter. We are working closely with the City of Waukesha Police Department to review the matter and decide what criminal charges will be issued,” a news release from the DA’s office said.

If moms, dads can’t even tell school boards, heck no you’re not teaching our kids that stuff and you can call them terrorists. But this isn’t? His cornbread isn’t done in the middle. Parents getting pissed at school boards…that’s what they call terrorism. Ya, know, mom & dad, working together.

Remember though, the Charlottesville crash, that person acted alone, but was considered an act of domestic terrorism that personified “white supremacy”.

The Supreme Court Is Spitting in Our Faces.

Renowned Physicist finds proof God exists: The universe was
created by design in huge Matrix | Ancient Code (ancient-code.com)
A world-renowned theoretical physicist claims that he has found evidence
that GOD exists through theoretical particles. The universe was CREATED by intelligent design in a huge ‘matrix.’ He said of his research: “I have concluded that we are in a world made by rules created by intelligence. Michio Kaku the world-renowned theoretical physicist, highly regarded in the scientific community thanks to his incredible work in popularizing the String Theory, has come up with a brand new theory which he says proves god is real, or an intelligent designer for the universe.

Michio Kaku a professor of theoretical physics at the City College of New York has said he has come to this conclusion after studying the so-called “primitive semi – radius tachyons.” Professor Kaku explains that these Tachyons are theoretical particles that have the ability to unstick matter in the vacuum (universe) between particles, and leave everything free from the influence of the universe. This study has led Professor Kaku to conclude that our universe was created through elaborate design, and not random chaos as previously believed and that we could be living in a type of MATRIX.

“I have concluded that we are in a world made by rules created by intelligence. ”
“Believe me, everything that we call chance, today won’t make sense anymore.
To me, it is clear that we exist in a plan which is governed by rules that were created, shaped by a universal intelligence and not by chance.” Furthermore, Professor Kaku states that with all of the calculation implied into creating a successful universe, God must surely be a mathematician –which could imply that we are in fact living in a sort of simulation. In a YouTube video, Professors Kaku has said: The final solution could be that God is a mathematician.

“The mind of God, we believe, is cosmic music, the music of strings resonating through 11-dimensional hyperspace.” However, Professor Natan Aviezer of the Bar Ilan University does not agree with Professor Kaku. “This is an old idea, that the universe is intentionally designed so there must be a God,” said the physicist. “William Paley, an 18th-century Christian theologian, gave the watchmaker argument. This is typical of circular thinking that tries to get around a fundamental ‘inconvenient’ truth. Of course William Paleys
‘watch in the forest’ principle remains true. You will realize it had a designer.

The Bible says ‘every house has a builder’.
So in fact it is a very ‘old’ idea, one that as with all fundamental truths can stand the test of time. Prof Natan Aviezer’s argument is the one that is flawed. Crystals like everything else are made of molecules far more complex than anything man-made & so in fact bursting with evidence of design & crystals follow physical laws as do atoms & molecules of the periodic tables which intelligent scientists were able to predict and discover as they had come to understand the designers protocol.

These laws even allow for infinite variety of snowflakes. Who made these laws?
If you find a watch in the forest, then you can assume there is a watchmaker, because complicated things do not occur by themselves. In the same way, the universe proves the existence of its maker.” The watch analogy works precisely and only because we know that watches are not natural and do not arise on their own in nature. If design were truly responsible for everything, there would be no fundamental difference between a stone and a watch because both would have been designed by an intelligent creator.

When we first observed & predicted the exact ‘ fit’ of hitherto unknown elements in the periodic tables we understood the mind behind them. Everything created works in unison and is symbiotic. It cannot be chance, it’s part of the same design from the same mind. All of science relies on such laws. To my mind the atheistic argument is like standing in a forest and saying I don’t believe in trees. The evidence surrounding us is obvious, overwhelming.

Thus, we would not be able to recognize design from non-design, and the terms would be obsolete. Design exists purely in contrast to naturally- occurring phenomena. “This argument is wrong. Complicated items do form by themselves. Crystals and chemical reactions are the most complicated things, and they happen by themselves. My favorite example is snowflakes, which each form uniquely by themselves. But that is not proof there is a God.”   https://youtu.be/FddebF5i12I

Evolution has programmed the human race to judge by appearances, and women are judged more than men (who are generally judged on wealth and status). It’s evolution in action, and it will never go away.  I don’t understand why people- men or women, post selfies on Twitter anyway, but hey…. that’s just me.

Stop being so affected… It’s not cute.

Shitty people key on irrelevant differences.

Dr. David Jeremiah Sermons 2021 –
Where Do We Go From Here David Jeremiah

The Final Prophecy: The Triumph of the Gospel

There are those who choose to uplift others and there are those that can only feel good about themselves by tearing down another. All Shitty people don’t give a shit about others. don’t pay attention to the shits of the world, they do it on purpose to get under your skin…..f’em.
I’d put any amount of money these are liberals who are trying to deflect their own insecurities. It sucks that they do that, but in today’s society…

I don’t see this changing soon Slightly frowning face

You know how you prevent that petty, vain, shit? don’t post selfies. I would think you would want people to like your thoughts and ideas, which matter, and not a resource that disappears with age.

Post proudly…”imperfections” and all Grinning faceGrinning face with smiling eyes

“The faults we find in other ppl are the faults we find in ourselves”.
Well adjusted ppl have no need to inflate their own ego, much less by the deliberate attempt of diminishing the self esteem of another.

This is something I don’t understand… When I was working in the corporate world (Top 50), whenever a woman advanced to a senior position in the company, you’d think she’d use her position to promote and pull up other women… however, the majority of times, it was the opposite.

Because nothing feeds a carnivorous ego more than knocking down someone else’s self- image.

The Brady 6: Journey of the Legend NO ONE Wanted!

It’s like gourmet truffles to weak insecure people’s vampiric nature.
People today want to reach by stepping on the next guy’s shoulders or boost themselves by draining you. New Human nature.

You appear to be a very attractive person, so don’t let them win. You shouldn’t define yourself or be defined by your looks alone, but feeling good about yourself is far more important than anyone’s opinion. My wife suffers from this dysmorphic self opinion and she is gorgeous.

I don’t criticize them..I just ignore them. But to be honest I don’t understand needing to get confirmation from strangers on the internet. Selfies seem trifling…even when men do it. We should be discussing issues without all the gratuitous attention seeking. I agree, too. People do it because they are only too aware of their own faults and tearing other people down is how they feel better about themselves. To your point, women seem to rip other women an awful lot. I’ve always wondered about why. You’re stronger in numbers.

Basic Human instinct. Humans are obnoxious. Only pretence !
I’ve noticed whenever I post a selfie (and when other women do too), someone, (usually female) has to point out imperfections? Why are people so willing, ready and excited to do this?? Build fellow queens up! Stop tearing eachother down. We have enough $h!

Doing that…If you’re fishing for compliments, you’re likely to hook some stinkers, too.

Tropical fishFishDolphinWhaleBlowfishShark

They can only see the flaws in themselves.
Strong solid women support other strong solid women. You can say another woman is intelligent/beautiful and by no means does it take away from you. Which is understandable but at the same time F them. Don’t let them try to take you down. Nope but people are so insecure they just want to tear each other down to make them feel better about themselves.

It’s because you all are constantly pointing out your own imperfections to yourself….so the same you do to others. Self-love will quiet that…start there Smiling face with smiling eyes
“The faults we find in other ppl are the faults we find in ourselves”. Well-adjusted people have no need to inflate their own ego, much less by the deliberate attempt of diminishing the self- esteem of another. Seriously!
Whatever happened to “if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”
Just saying.   I think everyone is beautiful in their own way. DANG, build each other up. I remember some good advice. “Do no harm!” I personally think that those that are critical of others are actually miserable themselves and it makes them feel better when they’re cutting someone else down. Some people are territorial and do this. You can’t change them.

Been going on since the beginning of time.
Just try to ignore them. They are probably jealous that you’re more attractive than them. None of us are perfect, but we all have praiseworthy features. They themselves have imperfections but can’t admit it. So, they bag on someone else. To make them feel better, see it thousands of times. There will always be those types in every camp. Let’s face it most people are jealous of those —

who are happy, attractive, well off, etc. all they can do is spew hate. Woman shrugging

Yeah people have issues Ignore them.
Everyone has imperfections so don’t waste energy on the ones calling out people’s selfies.
Too many good people in the world to worry about comments from miserable folks. This is something I don’t understand… When I was working in the corporate world (Top 50), whenever a woman advanced to a senior position in the company, you’d think she’d use her position to promote and pull up other women… however, the majority of times, it was the opposite. Insecure people build themselves up by diminishing others.

It’s their way of trying to make up for themselves not meeting their own expectations. My honest recommendation is just be yourself and if someone can’t take it move on! I’m just trying to determine what is determined as an imperfection. I don’t get it- what would even be the point of doing that? Sometimes I just don’t understand people.
All of us are beautiful in our own way. Just Hater’s, let them hate and let your sun shine! Never build yourself up by tearing others down…. We have more important things to address than that silliness!
You know the song it goes. haters going to hate, hate, hate, hate, hate….
Baby, I’m just going to shake, shake, shake, shake, shake…

I shake it off and just keep moving forward and be you.

image.png
When we put ourselves out there; that’s the risk we run.

I never understood ANYONE, pointing out others flaws or imperfections, whether you know them or not. We don’t need “critics”, we are OUR OWN worse “critics” If people would give compliments instead & “build” people up the world would be a better place.

People suck. That is the simplest answer I can give. I never worry what others say, think or type about me. Ever. I cannot be offended, social media is nothing but funny to me.   Why do women feel the need to constantly post #selfies in the first place? Comes across as #insecure & wanting #ATTENTION and then not liking the type of attention they get. What you look like has nothing to do with who you are. #Queens don’t exist without a #King

How many times has a woman achieved something very special only to be torn down because she is of another political party; a different religion; or a different race? Success fosters more success but so many get petty and bring everyone down! It’s a shame for sure. I see that a lot. Women are mean; not all, but many are catty, jealous &/or just unhappy, so they make stupid comments.

Climbing the metaphorical ladder is tough, it’s easier to knock the one above you down so there’s less above you so you appear higher up the ladder without going anywhere.  I’ve been a pro photographer since 1982 when I was young and good-looking in Waikiki professionally as BirdManBob until just a year ago after a stroke. Only people who hate themselves feel the need to knock you down a few pegs. Don’t let them put you down. Eff em.
I don’t post pictures of myself. Problem solved. I don’t see any reason to put a picture of myself on social media. If you want to be judged by your intellect, then what you look like is irrelevant, right? The most beautiful thing is a lady that is confident and comfortable with whatever imperfection she might have, from stretch marks, to gobbling a burger like a bulldog to porridge. I have developed a scientific theory as to why people do this. I call it, people suck. Don’t be surprised when people act like people #ImperfectionsMakeYouReal

Woozy face

Who the heck does that?? It has to be people with low self-esteem and no happiness. Like middle school bullies.. they lash out because they feel bad about themselves.

If they are pointing out imperfections you can be damn sure you look good,
that is what my grandmother used to say. U look perfect and basically each person has a good look of their own. The only ladies I do see that look “old” are the politicians who I feel are under great stress.

My physical imperfections are so many these days, it would take hours!
When you’re older, you just realize it’s all a bunch of bullshit – and just let it go & be strong in yourself. I’ve also realized the “inside” is so much more valuable than the deteriorating outside.  (Point blank…..end of story:) The German word ‘Schadenfreude’ describes it exactly. “pleasure derived by someone from another person’s misfortune” i notice more gals do it than men.

I try to be positive here unless I’m talking about a Democrat.

I can’t believe there’s people in America who think Biden is doing a good job.
They are either really, really stupid or being brainwashed by fake news and
I can’t see he’s literally destroying our country on purpose.

BRAD PAISLEY – BEHIND THE CLOUDS (LYRICS)

Seems like those dark skies are following you around…
You wonder if you’ll see the light of day Behind the clouds, the sun is shining Believe me even though you can’t quite make it out You may not see the silver lining But there’s a big blue sky waiting right behind the clouds I’ve heard it said that this too shall pass.
Good times or bad times, neither one lasts But thinking that your luck won’t ever change Is like thinking it won’t ever stop once it starts to rain Behind the clouds, the sun is shining Believe me even though you can’t quite make it out You may not see the silver lining.
But there’s a big blue sky waiting right behind the clouds.
Yeah, there’s a big blue sky waiting right behind the clouds

Everyone Appreciates A Good Laugh

“Never memorize something that you can look up.” ― Albert Einstein

Who or what is Abraham Hicks?

Abraham Hicks comprises two entities.

Firstly the Hicks element is Esther Hicks, who frequently identifies as “Abraham Hicks”, and is an American business woman who together with her late husband  Jerry Hicks – a former top level Amway salesman – has co-written nine books and presented numerous workshops on the law of attraction.

Prior to a falling out with Rhonda Byrne [the business woman behind “The Secret”] over money, Hicks appeared in the original version of the 2006 film “The Secret”. Hicks’ unique selling proposition [USP] is her connection and self identification with “…a group of non-physical entities called Abraham.

Hicks describes what she is doing tapping into “infinite intelligence” which she channels live on stage. When Hicks is on stage channeling “Abraham” she speaks about herself in the third person.

The second entity is “Abraham”. The following verbiage is taken directly from the Hicks’ website and is how Hicks – speaking as Abraham – answers the question about the identity of “Abraham”:

Evaluating the law of attraction:

Follow these links for a comprehensive assessment of the key aspects of the law of attraction:

  1. Causation or Correlation – Does A + B = C?
  2. Evidence Basis – Fact vs Faith
  3. Domains of Influence – “Here” or “Out There”
  4. Do Thoughts Have Magnetic Resonance and Attract?
  5. Being vs Doing
  6. The Conflicted Mind
  7. Abraham-Hicks Emotional Scale – Bing images

And then cut to the summary recap on key points of our evaluation of the law of attraction:

My experience of mindfulness with deep acceptance

During waking hours whenever it all got too much to bear, I would go outside and find a seat somewhere that I knew I wouldn’t get distracted by anyone and I practiced a deep acceptance exercise: Check-in internally – what am I feeling now? (Do it very quickly and no thinking about it – we do not want the mind involved!)

Go with the FIRST feeling that comes up. Say out loud (or loudly in your head “I accept that I am feeling angry / frightened /fearful /anxious / resentful / etc. Say it over and over again several times like a mantra.

SAY IT WITH MAXIMUM INTENSITY AND FOCUS.

Check-in again internally – what am I feeling now?

Go with the FIRST feeling that comes up.

Say out loud (or loudly in your head “I accept that I am feeling angry / frightened /fearful /anxious / resentful etc.

Say it over and over again several times like a mantra.

Amazingly, after a number of iterations of this process, I find that the answer to the “what am I feeling now?”

Question is peace and a deep inner sense of calm.

I have used this process many times and it always works.

What this exercise does is to cause you to accept whatever is in your thinking mind. This stops you identifying with your thinking mind and your focus automatically shifts to your observing mind.

Mark Manson has written an excellent short article which explains the background to the deep acceptance technique and why it works.

Hands-down, Ed Wynn! Yeah, his humor is seemingly outdated (for the most part) he totally makes up for it with that timeless voice of his! I don’t think it’s even humanly possible to listen to Ed Wynn’s voice and not at least crack a smile! I am so glad People aren’t saying Dave Chapelle or Ricky Gervais just because they spoke out. I get it, they were brave and they spoke the truth. But not everything has to be our favorite because of politics.

Richard Pryor is totally funny but those who managed humor without foul language and disgust really deserve the honor. Rodney Dangerfield, Robin Williams, Steve Martin to name a few.  Jim Davidson. @themiltonjones   Adam Carolla Lee Mack Eddie Murphy Nick DiPaolo Boris Johnson It was Ralphie May Ken Davis, you tube.

Sebastian Maniscalco Frankie Boyle and Ron White @WhitneyCummings She has a friggin sex bot of herself. How can I watch other comedians after that?  Eddie Murphy – Chris Tucker – Redd Foxx – …and of course Richard Pryor are all equally perfect!
