Medicinal Cannabis

Here is a list of 34 studies showing that marijuana cures cancer.

When It Comes To Cancer Research….

The Most Popular Topic is Medicinal Cannabis Oil!!! 🙂

According to E. L. Abel in ‘Marihuana: The First Twelve Thousand Years,’ the history of cannabis goes back to at least 10,000 BC. This means marijuana is one of the oldest cultivated crops in human history. We grew it at around the same time that we began grinding wheat and barley in Iran’s Zagros Mountains.

This post from ‘Patients for Medical Cannabis’ turns the spotlight on Professor Raphael Mechoulam who became the first scientist to isolate THC. When Raphael Mechoulam first asked the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for a grant to research cannabis back in 1963, the top U.S. public health agency was quick to show him the door.

When it comes to cannabis – no one size fits and researchers are finding different strains work for different people…to begin Balance Works Best.

RSO, or  Rick Simpson oil is a form of medical marijuana oil that gets its name from its developer and medical marijuana activist, Rick Simpson. RSO is different from other forms of cannabis oil for several reasons, the largest being the way it is made and retains most plant matter of any other form. Rick recommends 99% isopropyl alcohol, but you can also use wood grain alcohol. Many BudTenders would rather see you use Food Grain Alcohol for Cannabis Oil – Bing

Wait until you try CBG. The mother, stem cannabinoid. That’s what I was trying to tell you because I think Delta8 is a fake toxic CBD/THC to get people sick, so the government can completely ban Cannabis.  The Sweeties I take of Delta8 are not that strong and have been a good blend. I Tried a fortified CBG/D8 hemp flower that was nice. ~ Johnny Integrity

But had a friend who bought some D8 gummies that were ultra strong.
Seriously because how is Delta8 legalized in head shops, but THC is still against the law? You and I know the government has something to do with it. Delta8 has a nice amount of THC in it too.  Is Delta8 a synthetic cannabinoids NO

Cannabis originated in China, genetic analysis reveals (msn.com)

When Alysa Erwin was 14 years old, she started noticing an odd sensation in her neck. —  She began experiencing debilitating headaches, blurred vision, nausea, major body pain, changes in personality and mood, and just felt sick and overall abnormal. During the many visits with their local doctor, the office refused to give her any scans and continually labeled her a hypochondriac, both behind her back and to her face.

After months of this unhelpful and patronizing administrative incompetence, Alysa’s mother, filled with frustration, took her back to the local hospital demanding some sort of brain scan. It was only then that a CAT scan was given. After seeing the build-up of fluid in her brain, she was next given an MRI. This was when it became apparent that her discomfort was not just a figment of her imagination, but that she was suffering from a serious ailment.

Then, following an onslaught of tests, in the Spring of 2011, she was diagnosed with Grade 3 anaplastic astrocytoma — brain cancer — at the University of Michigan hospital.

Due to the state in which her cancer was in at the time, the doctor was unable to administer any certain types of radiation. Yet, Alysa had made it clear that she did not want liquid chemo either way, so she was prescribed chemotherapy in pill form. Her parents were told she might live 18 to 24 months with chemotherapy treatments, but after only five days of its use, Alysa was overwhelmed by the sickening side effects and decided to discontinue the therapy. It was then that Alysa’s grandparents gave the Erwin family a desperately needed peek — through the Orwellian shroud — the American government — maintains on the topic of cannabis; specifically its miraculous medical value.

What if Cannabis Cured Cancer? (2011)

Alyssa’s grandparents introduced her to Rick Simpson Hemp Oil, and the Phoenix Tears Foundation, and after watching the video What if Cannabis Cured Cancer and Run From the Cure — it was then that her regiment of cannabis oil began.

That is why it’s important to do your own research and find someone with expertise in the field. Experts are finding that relatively low doses of THC of 2.5 to 5 mg can very often treat many common issues like anxiety, ADD, PTSD, and even depression.

However, other conditions like cancer may require upward of 15 to 20 mg of THC and that’s where patients need more CBD and other non-psychoactive cannabinoids to balance out the euphoria. And sometimes a 1:1 ratio of CBD:THC may be effective for one and not another.

In the end, though, everyone is unique so you have to find what ultimately works best for you…

Modern-day scientists have increasingly been turning their attention to cannabis due to its potential to inhibit or destroy cancer cells,

and at the very least, manage the pain and symptoms that come with the illness. But then, ancient people seem to have known that already.

Renegade Remission, integrative healing from Cancer

July 8, 2015 · I’ve just come back from a “reccy” in Portland Oregon,

(I live in the UK ) where I went to legally become a medical marijuana refugee.

I’ve found out some useful info.

My cancer is 33% E + 19% P + I can tolerate up to about 40% THC above that and it fuels growth. if i would go again, I’d find someone experienced in LA. Like Robin Swan for example. LA is way more advanced in terms of cannabinoid medicine than Portland.

My body didn’t like the long haul flight, and I saw some tumour growth on my return. So I’m going on a low dose chemo, alongside my Cannabinoid Medicine, that the brilliant Robin Jones, now at Marsden, they’re behind me on this chemo/cannabinoid protocol.

Three Days before leaving: I finally found someone very experienced who knows about Estrogen positive cancer, and here are her recommendations.

ITS A 3 STEP PROCESS:

STEP 1 DAYTIME
850mg CBD, 40MG THC 0.5G X 2 TIMES A DAY RECTALLY

STEP 2 : CBD drops in the day sublingually every four hours to always keep it in the bloodstream
CONTENT: 1200mg per oz CBD , 240mg per Oz THC , 120mg per Oz of CBGA, 120MG CBG.

STEP 3:
AT NIGHT THE HIGHER THC WHILST YOU ARE ABOUT TO SLEEP AS YOUR HEAD IS ON THE PILLOW,
THE HORMONES ARE SLEEPING THEN, 540 M.G. THC 120MG CBD > 0.5 MG JUST BEFORE SLEEP. ~ Rosa Parkin

A COVID-19 variant called Mu

Governor Kimberly Kay Reynolds in Iowa recognizing Covid endemic.

Governor Kimberly Kay Reynolds in Iowa signed a bill recognizing that Covid is an endemic, not a pandemic. Meaning federal or government pandemic laws do not apply to Covid in Iowa. In case our federal government decides to do something stupid “pandemic related.” Finally! Someone recognizes that it’s an epidemic not a pandemic. The “pan” is from the Greek, it means all; as in its everywhere and everybody has it. Which is not the case.  Endemic just means the virus is established and exists in an area. The government could still take measures to try to eradicate it, using the claim that they do not want it to spread to become endemic elsewhere.

Woman shrugging

God bless you Iowa, tell your Governor to keep up the work of the people!!!

More states need to follow her lead to avoid government overreach into their sovereignty.

The Vaccine doesn’t work. The CDC treatment Protocol doesn’t work.
A new COVID-19 variant called Mu that might be able to evade immunity from vaccines has been detected in almost every US state(Joshua Zitser)  jzitser@businessinsider.com   20 hrs ago

  • A new COVID-19 variant called Mu might be able to evade the immunity people get from vaccines, Insider reported.
  • The Mu variant has been detected in 47 US states and the District of Columbia, according to data from Outbreak.info.
  • Only Nebraska, Vermont, and South Dakota are yet to detect a case, the data says.

A new variant of COVID-19, which the World Health Organization (WHO) says could have the ability to evade the immunity people get from vaccines and previous infections, has been detected in almost every US state, according to data from epidemiology and genomic database Outbreak.info.

Called Mu, the B.1.621 variant was first detected in Colombia in January this year. As of September 4, cases of the strain have been reported in 47 US states and the District of Columbia, Newsweek was first to report.

The only states without reported cases are Nebraska, Vermont, and South Dakota, according to Outbreak.info’s data.

The strain is currently most prevalent in Alaska, where data suggests that 139 reported cases account for 4 percent of the total 3,837 sequenced samples.

California has the highest number in terms of raw numbers, the data show, with 232 reported cases of the B.1.621 variant out of 139,930 sequenced. This accounts for less than one percent of those sampled.

The Mu variant accounts for fewer than one percent of total COVID-19 cases, with the Delta variant dominant in the US.

Earlier this week, Mu was added to the WHO’s “of interest” list of variants.

Anthony Fauci, President Joe Biden’s chief medical officer, said Thursday that the Mu variant did not represent an “immediate threat” to the US.

“This variant has a constellation of mutations that suggests that it would evade certain antibodies, not only monoclonal antibodies but vaccine- and convalescent serum-induced antibodies,” Fauci said during a COVID-19 press briefing on Thursday. “But there isn’t a lot of clinical data to suggest that. It is mostly laboratory in-vitro data,” he added.

Fauci said that health officials are “keeping a very close eye” on the situation.

The WHO noted in its weekly bulletin that further studies would need to be done on the mutated variant to see if it can evade immune defenses to COVID-19, Insider’s Cheryl Teh reported.

Tu Youyou, discoverer of artemisinin for resistant malaria

Tu Youyou, Nobel Laureate in medicine in Stockholm
Tu Youyou, Nobel Laureate in medicine in Stockholm December 2015. Photo by Bengt Nyman. December 6, 2015.

The Chinese scientist Tu Youyou received the 2011 Lasker–DeBakey Clinical Medical Research Award and the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for isolating a chemical agent to be used in the treatment of resistant malaria. Born in 1930, Tu came from a distinguished family of scholars; studied at the University of Beijing; and early on became interested in traditional Chinese as well as western medicine. She graduated in 1955 and spent two years studying traditional medicine compounds. She then worked as a research scientist, living in a poorly equipped apartment building in Beijing, with only two electrical household appliances: a telephone and a refrigerator to store her herb samples.

In 1967 the Chinese government instituted a massive project to fight malaria in North Vietnam and Southern China, involving more than 500 researchers from sixty military and civilian organizations. Tu, who at thirty-one held only an undergraduate degree in pharmaceutical science, was chosen to lead the program at her institution. Over the years her team tested more than 2,000 herb preparations, at first against malaria-infected red blood cells, and identified at least 640 with possible antimalarial activity. Among these were plants from the large Artemisia genus, which comprises some 200 to 400 species such as the common mugwort, sagebrush, wormwood, and tarragon.

At first the results were not encouraging. Later, some antimalarial activity was found in extracts of Artemisia annua (sagewort), traditionally used in Chinese medicine to treat fever. It was known as qinghao and had been recommended by Ge Hong (AD 384-346) in an ancient text on Emergency Remedies Kept Up One’s Sleeve. But results were inconsistent and not all samples had antimalarial activity. Then Tu understood from the ancient texts that heat was inimical to the extraction of the compound and that it destroyed its activity. She realized that the extraction process had to be done at lower temperatures, and when this was done it became possible to isolate the active ingredient (1971).

Once this was achieved, Tu Youyou felt that as head of her group she had the responsibility to volunteer to first try the drug on herself. It was well tolerated. They called it artemisinin, and its chemical structure was determined in 1975. It had a molecular weight of 282 Da. Later a hydroxyl group was added to the molecule, giving rise to the more clinically effective dihydroartemisinin. In subsequent clinical studies resistance developed quickly if the drug was used alone, leading to the drug and its various molecular modifications being used in combination with other agents to treat malaria. It has been estimated that the drug was administered in over a billion treatments and has had a massive impact in eradicating malaria from disease-endemic countries. Recently artemisinin was tested as a possible ingredient in a cocktail to be used against Covid-19 viral infections.

Tu received the Nobel Prize along with two other scientists, Satoshi Omara of Japan and William C. Campbell of the United States, who discovered ivermectin for treatment of filariasis and river blindness. As Tu had been the leader of a large team of scientists, the Nobel Prize award was not without controversy, but the consensus was that she deserved the major credit for the discovery even though the work had been the effort of many people. She modestly stated that “I think the honor not only belongs to me but also to all Chinese scientists.” There was also discussion whether the award vindicated traditional Chinese medicine or rewarded a scientific method to identify new active drugs. Tu herself regarded her achievement as a gift to humankind from traditional Chinese medicine. The Nobel committee honored her as “an exemplary pharmacognostical scholar who, along with her talented associates, successfully used a vigorous, modern, scientific approach to discover an antimalarial drug that can combat a malignant form of malaria.”

Early Research Finds Extracts from Sweet Wormwood Plant Can Inhibit the COVID-19 Virus

Laboratory Findings Suggest Artemisia Annua May Point to Treatment for SARS-CoV-2 May 4, 2021

A team of researchers that includes Worcester Polytechnic Institute Biology Professor Pamela Weathers has found that extracts from the leaves of the Artemisia annua plant, a medicinal herb also known as sweet wormwood, inhibit the replication of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and two of its recent variants.

The team, which included researchers from Columbia University in New York and the University of Washington at Seattle, also found that extracts of the plant were more effective against the virus when levels of a key therapeutic compound in the plant, artemisinin, were low. The in vitro findings led the researchers to suggest that one or more compounds in Artemisia annua, or A. annua, that have not yet been identified may point to a safe, low-cost therapeutic treatment for SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic.

The work was described in an article published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology.

Artemisia annua has been studied extensively, and it has been used safely for more than 2,000 years in traditional medicine to treat a variety of fever-related ailments,” Weathers said. “A. annua could provide clues to new safe, cost-effective small molecule therapies or even be used as an antiviral nutraceutical.”

The researchers soaked dried leaves of A. annua, obtained from four continents in hot water and tested the solutions against SARS-CoV-2 and two variants originating from the United Kingdom and South Africa. Some leaf samples were 12 years old but still potent against the virus. Researchers also tested artemisinin alone against the viruses, but the plant extracts were more potent. Artemisinin is a compound naturally produced by the plant, but is usually extracted, chemically modified, and developed in combination with other drugs to treat malaria.

Results showed that the extracts of A. annua did not block the virus from entering cells but interfered with the virus’ ability to replicate, thus killing it. In addition, the anti-replication activity did not appear linked to artemisinin or flavonoids, which are natural substances in the plants.

Weathers has long studied different strains of Artemisia, which are grown around the world. She recently was a co-author on papers exploring the anti-malaria properties of artemisinin and the impact of A. annua and artemisinin extracts on the malaria parasite. She also is collaborating on a study at WPI to identify compounds in A. annua that may be effective against the bacteria responsible for tuberculosis.

Weathers said more work is needed to identify the compound or combination of compounds in A. annua responsible for inhibiting viral replication.

“These findings add to evidence emerging from other labs around the world that this plant possesses compounds that could help patients who are infected with COVID-19,” Weathers said. “We also know that the plant possesses compounds that inhibit inflammation and the formation of scar-like tissues known as fibrosis, which also affect patients with COVID-19. Together, these characteristics point to a plant that bears a lot more study.”

Artemisia Annua Could Be Promising Treatment for COVID-19

Recent lab studies by chemists at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces (Potsdam, Germany) in close collaboration with virologists at Freie Universität Berlin have shown that extract from the medicinal plant Artemisia annua, also known as Sweet Wormwood, is active against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that has caused the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new potential treatment has been added to the University of Kentucky’s innovative clinical trial for experimental COVID-19 therapies, which was launched by leaders from UK’s Markey Cancer Center, College of Medicine and College of Pharmacy in May.

The new arms of the clinical trial will test the effectiveness of Artemisia annua extract as well as artesunate, a derivative of the plant that is a standard treatment for malaria in many parts of the world.

The new trial arm is supported by ArtemiLife, which recently collaborated with UK on a clinical study using Artemisia annua grown in Kentucky to test for the anti-cancer activity of its extract and to determine the recommended dose of Artemisia annua for future clinical trials.

“The University of Kentucky and UK Markey Cancer Center are delighted to continue our collaboration with ArtemiLife to study this Kentucky-grown Artemisia annua as a potential treatment for patients with COVID infections,” said Jill Kolesar PharmD, co-leader of the Drug Development Program at Markey Cancer Center and professor in the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy.

The ongoing trial has a “pick-the-winner” design, which will allow UK researchers to rapidly understand what potential therapies appear to be effective, guiding patients to treatments that work and researchers to promising drugs that warrant further investigation.

“While there is no standard treatment for COVID-19, this trial gives us the ability to test multiple therapies rapidly in order to identify the most promising agents,” said Dr. Susanne Arnold, a medical oncologist and associate director of clinical translation at the UK Markey Cancer Center who is co-leading the trial. “This rapid assessment means that the trial can quickly include and test new therapies such as Artemisia annua.”

Each treatment is selected by a multidisciplinary committee of medical experts from across the university as some of the most unique and promising compounds that can be studied at the moment. The drugs are also attractive candidates for repurposing for treatment of COVID-19 considering they have excellent safety profiles and are readily available, rapidly scalable, and relatively inexpensive.

UK’s clinical trial is reserved for high-risk patients both at home and in the hospital who have tested positive for COVID-19, or who have COVID-19 symptoms but have not developed severe symptoms that would require intensive care unit treatment. Patients with COVID-19 who choose to enroll in the trial will be randomly assigned to one of four treatment groups including Artemisia annua.

UK’s COVID-19 related research is coordinated by the COVID-19 Unified Research Experts (CURE) Alliance team, which is uniting UK medical researchers across disciplines in the fight against the novel coronavirus. The Alliance was launched and is supported by UK College of Medicine Dean Robert DiPaola and Vice President for Research Lisa Cassis.

The team plans to scale up a larger, more traditional placebo-control clinical trial using the most promising therapy from the pick-the-winner trial.

Is Climate Change Real

America elected Donald Trump at the end of the hottest year ever recorded
Greenland ice faster melt – Bing video

But after Trump’s 4 years of record temperatures, devastating wildfires and some of the most destructive hurricanes in US history — the media is facing new pressure – often from the candidates themselves – to give the subject more prominence.

Two Years Ago, MSNBC devoted more than five minutes to Beto O’Rourke’s rollout of a $5trillion climate plan, calling climate a “kitchen table issue” for 2020. Jay Inslee, the Washington governor who is seeking to make climate change the central thrust of his campaign, is calling on the Democratic National Committee to host a debate focused on climate.

Bernie Sanders raised the issue during his town hall on Fox News earlier this month – and even drew cheers from the audience when he talked about new jobs in the renewable energy sector. Rising temperatures and the crisis they pose for humans were part of every Democratic candidate’s pitch during CNN’s marathon of hour-long town halls last week.

In the run-up to 2020, as newsroom leaders grapple with their mistakes in the 2016 election – from reliance on inaccurate polls to underestimating the impact of fake news – the failure to press candidates on climate change is emerging as an area of self-examination.

“In 2016 there were almost no questions asked , which is insane,” says Tony Bartelme, a senior reporter who covers climate change for the Post and Courier in Charleston, South Carolina. “It’s a good start that we’re starting to hear questions for 2020.”

The Guardian is joining forces with Columbia Journalism Review and the Nation to launch Covering Climate Change: A New Playbook for a 1.5-Degree World, a project aimed at dramatically improving US media coverage of the climate crisis. The project kicks off today with an event at Columbia Journalism School featuring CJR’s editor-in-chief, Kyle Pope, the Nation’s environment correspondent, Mark Hertsgaard, and the Guardian climate columnist Bill McKibben.

The Green New Deal – progressives’ vision for slowing climate change without further burdening the poor – has also helped catapult the subject into the 2020 conversation. In March, MSNBC’s Chris Hayes took the highly unusual step of devoting an hour to the idea, in a show featuring the New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

But even as there are signs that airtime for climate is beginning to increase, questions remain about the depth and quality of the coverage. “I don’t see the media paying much attention to differentiating how serious each candidate is on the climate question,” said David Gelber, the creator and executive producer for the Showtime series on climate change, Years Of Living Dangerously.

More Americans than ever are worried about climate change. A poll of likely Democratic caucus-goers in Iowa ranked climate change about on par with healthcare as the top issues they want candidates to talk about.

Research indicates that major national newspapers are beginning to pay more attention to climate – but local publications and TV news haven’t kept up. The major broadcast networks – ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX – spent just 142 minutes on climate change last year, according to one calculation from the progressive group Media Matters. And about half of Americans hear about global warming in the media once a month or less, according to surveys by climate communications programs at Yale and George Mason universities.

Meanwhile, five major national US newspapers – the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, USA Today and the Los Angeles Times – have, in aggregate, roughly tripled their coverage of climate change since four years ago, according to the Media and Climate Change Observatory at the University of Colorado in Boulder.

The New York Times nowhas a desk of about a dozen covering climateClimate editor Hannah Fairfield said the team is collaborating with the politics desk to report on the 2020 candidates’ climate positions.

But climate coverage is not just a question of volume– it’s also a question of approach. We spoke to experts in the field for their advice on how news outlets should cover climate in ways that make voters listen during the 2020 race.

Quote conservatives

Adam Berinsky, who studies why some people believe political rumors – such as that climate change is a hoax – said people who buy into political rumors are driven by a “combination of conspiratorial dispositions and political motivations”. They are more likely to change their minds if they hear from sources they identify with, often fellow conservatives.Advertisement

Aaron McCright, a sociology professor who studies public opinion at Michigan State University, said journalists should give the small but growing numbers of conservatives who care about climate change “more of a mouthpiece so that their message could start competing” with science denialism.

Republicans who want to limit climate pollution for the sake of national security or as part of a plan for energy independence need to compete better with climate deniers, said McCright. “Those could be effective messages if they’re promoted hour by hour, day by day, week by week, by dozens or hundreds of conservatives in everyday life, TV, papers, Congress.”

Bring up climate, even when the candidates don’t

Gelber says reporters should bring the campaign story back to climate change, even if the candidates aren’t discussing their proposed solutions. He said they should help audiences differentiate between the candidates, explaining to viewers and readers how specific they have gotten in their plans.

Cover climate as a local news story

Edward Maibach, a George Mason climate communications scientist, said “most people are saying they rarely hear climate change news because most people pay attention to local news. Most climate news in America is not local news”. Maibach’s program, Climate Matters, trains weathercasters and local reporters to explain the local consequences of a warming world.

Bartelme suggests trying to connect local catastrophes to the climate story and explain why the extreme weather is happening.

“What we can do is make those connections for people,” Fairfield said. Reporters can seek out “local stories that have climate fingerprints on them”.

Focus on solutions

Elizabeth Arnold, a longtime reporter and professor at the University of Alaska, argues that “doom and gloom” coverage alone may force the public to disengage.

“Repetition of a narrow narrative that focuses exclusively on the impacts of climate change leaves the public with an overall sense of powerlessness,” she said in an introduction to one paper.

Choose words carefully

Susan Hassol, director of the organization Climate Communication, said the phrase “heat-trapping pollution” is easier to understand than “greenhouse gas”, and “global warming” conveys more meaning than “climate change”.

The Guardian is partnering with Columbia Journalism Review and the Nation today on “Covering Climate Change,” a town hall event with media leaders about how to change the media narrative on climate change.

Watch the event live here between 9am and 2pm.

With much of the US now trapped in a vicious cycle of heat, wildfires and drought, our climate journalism has never been more essential, and we need your support to keep producing it.

Perhaps you’re familiar with the Guardian’s reputation for hard-hitting, urgent reporting on the environment. We view the climate crisis as the defining issue of our time. It is already here, making growing parts of our planet uninhabitable. As parts of the world emerge from the pandemic, carbon emissions are again on the rise, risking a rare opportunity to transition to a more sustainable future.

The Guardian has renounced fossil fuel advertising, becoming the first major global news organisation to do so. We have committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2030. And we are consistently increasing our investment in environmental reporting, recognising that an informed public is crucial to keeping the worst of the crisis at bay.

More than 1.5 million readers, in 180 countries, have recently taken the step to support us financially – keeping us open to all and fiercely independent. With no shareholders or billionaire owner, we can set our own agenda and provide trustworthy journalism that’s free from commercial and political influence, offering a counterweight to the spread of misinformation. When it’s never mattered more, we can investigate and challenge without fear or favour.

Unlike many others, Guardian journalism is available for everyone to read, regardless of what they can afford to pay. We do this because we believe in information equality. Greater numbers of people can keep track of global events, understand their impact on people and communities, and become inspired to take meaningful action.

Climate change is a problem facing countries around the world, but media coverage of the topic differs from one nation to the next. A new study from the University of Kansas shows the way media frame climate change coverage can be predicted by several national factors, yet none tend to frame it as an immediate problem requiring national policies to address the issue.

While richer countries tend to frame climate change coverage as a political issue, poorer countries more often frame it as an international issue that the world at large needs to address.

“Media can tell people what to think about. At the same time, framing can have an effect on how people think about certain issues,” said Hong Vu, assistant professor of journalism at KU and the study’s lead author. “Not only can framing have an impact on how an issue is perceived but on whether and how policy is made on the issue. With big data, machine-learning techniques, we were able to analyze a large amount of media climate change coverage from 45 countries and territories from 2011 to 2015.”

Vu and co-authors Yuchen Liu, graduate student at KU; and Duc Vinh Tran of Hanoi University of Science and Technology published their findings in the journal Global Environmental Change. They analyzed over 37,000 articles and considered national factors such as economic development, weather and energy consumption. They reviewed headlines from nationally circulated publications of varying political ideologies that contained the keywords “greenhouse gas,” “climate change” and/or “global warming,” or the local language equivalent.

The most consistent predictor of how the issue was framed was a nation’s gross domestic product per capita.

“We showed that the issue is more politicized in richer countries. In poorer countries, it was framed more as an international issue,” Vu said. “Which makes sense, as poorer countries don’t have the resources that richer countries do to fight it.”

Even when richer countries framed the issue as one they could address with their more plentiful resources, it was often also framed as a political issue and would focus on debate or argument about political approaches as opposed to proposing policy solutions. Media from richer countries also focused more on the science of climate change.

When climate change was framed as an economic issue, it was in countries that had the most severe climates and those that have experienced the most adverse consequences of climate change and natural disasters, loss of life and property, and economic effects.

How media around the world frame climate change news:

Rich countries politicize issue, while poor countries present climate change as international concern — ScienceDaily

In terms of social progress framing, richer countries framed the issue in terms of energy policy and use. Those that emit the most carbon dioxide framed content in terms of energy issues, while poorer countries and those that had experienced the most severe climates focused more on natural impact.

The study also used independent nation-level variables from several databases, including the World Bank, the Center for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters, the Global Carbon Atlas Project and Freedom House, all nongovernment organizations working in development or on climate change.

The authors argue that the international relations frame being the most widely used reflects the fact that climate change is a problem every nation needs to address. Economic effects being second most popular reflects that fighting climate change will have impacts on every economy and that when natural disasters and climate change were discussed, they were nearly always brought forth in an economic sense. They also contend that richer countries framing the issue as political reflects that climate change skeptics in those nations gaining more media prominence and the efforts of multiple groups trying to politicize the issue, influence media agendas and policymaking.

The study helps add to the understanding of media influence on climate change coverage, Vu said. Future work will address questions of framing the topic, if it’s done on local, national or global levels, if communicators suggest solutions, if such solutions are attributed to individuals, businesses or governments and efficacy of proposed solutions. Three decades of communications on the topic show there is not a sense of immediacy in covering the problem and influencing policy.

“As communications researchers we want to know why, if climate change entered public discussion more than 30 years ago and we’ve been covering it as a global problem since, why can’t we slow the warming climate down,” Vu said. “If we want the public to have better awareness of climate change, we need to have the media impart it in an immediate sense. By looking at how they have portrayed it, we can better understand how to improve it, and hopefully make it a priority that is reflected in policy.”

GET A C.L.E.W. FOR LIFE! © En Español

Welcome to The Audrey Zeitouni Lasky Co. – Home (azlco.com)

Audrey Zeitouni Lasky is a former New York educator turned author, speaker, trainer, and travel expert from San Francisco now permanently residing in Georgia. Beginning in 2012, the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center urged Audrey to make public how and why she survived a non-preventable and nearly fatal event in 1996 and to write a book based on her personal program “Climb, Lift & Eat Well…”® to help others emulate Audrey’s remarkable quality of life.
“Life was not easy as the immigrant child whose family life was different from the other kids in the neighborhood and dramatically different from what was portrayed on American television. Being the only one in the class not born in the United States raised the eyebrows of adults and children alike. It was more than just uncomfortable when I was asked, “What are you? Where are your parents from?” The tone of those questions, not the questions themselves, cut like a dagger through my heart. Although we lived in the township of Teaneck, a suburb minutes from the melting pot of New York City, the questions made me feel as though I was not supposed to be there.

Although Danny Thomas brought Lebanese culture into American living rooms through his television show and talk show appearances, the Lebanese grocer on Teaneck Road provided the one place I could go with my father to feel truly welcomed. I loved how the owner’s face would light up whenever he saw my father and I enter his store.
They loved to converse in Arabic and French, and I loved to hear it. In my mind, I wanted to belong in Teaneck. In my heart, I wanted to go back to my birthplace of Paris, back to the city of lights, and back to the place that had saved my parents.

Given current worldwide events, the circumstances surrounding her survival in 1996 as a direct result of her health and fitness routines are more relevant than ever. The changes Audrey made six years earlier in 1990 to shed more than 50 pounds safely in six months to prepare for a ten-year high school reunion were inspired by her own science and physical education classes in high school and college. Her powerful and gripping story of how and why she survived a sudden-onset, non-preventable, idiopathic (unknown cause) case of Septic Shock and Multiple Organ System Failure on Valentine’s Day 1996 as a direct result of “C.L.E.W.,” leaves audiences, including the medical communities from New York to San Francisco, inspired and motivated to act upon her every word.

Whatever precipitated her antibodies to go into overdrive was, and will forever remain, an unsolvable mystery. Doctors found no source of infection. The infectious disease expert and critical care team believed it was an idiopathic airborne viral infection. They also determined Audrey had a very healthy immune system, yet during the course of less than one day she went from being a healthy and fit thirty-four-year-old wife and mother to a woman trapped in the body of an elderly, dying patient. Her husband was told she had a ten percent chance of survival and likely 24 to 36 hours left. Although critical and on life-support, Audrey never lapsed into a coma during her 29-day ordeal in the Intensive Care Unit. She communicated by pointing to an alphabet board.

Audrey is the 20th century prime example of how and why “heart health equals brain health.” Her powerful story was featured in a Hudson Valley, New York newspaper in November 1996. In 2014, Audrey formed The Audrey Zeitouni Lasky Company, a boutique health and fitness training and consulting LLC and published her first book Get a C.L.E.W. for Life!© in 2018. Audrey specializes in teaching men and women of all ages how to make optimum health and fitness is an integral part of daily life at home and at the office.

Audrey’s determination to create a massive worldwide shift in the paradigm by disseminating crucial health and fitness information based only on principles of anatomy, physiology, and the laws of physics as they apply to the prevention, mitigation and reversal of conditions and diseases are crystal clear. Audrey is a champion of old-school methods based entirely on empirical evidence as she brings the best of the 20th century into the 21st to benefit the public at home, at the office, and during business and leisure travel. Audrey speaks from her heart as she delivers her signature remark to readers and audiences during book talks!!!

Well the clock has struck midnight and I thank you for a great exchange of stories. The powers that be have not been kind to this old-school educator because she dared to speak and write the truth.
I am now trying to finish what I started and when the hardcovers are gone at least those people who attended my book talks will know the truth about how humans beings were designed to enjoy life, not become objects to be manipulated and abused by big pharma and corrupt political hacks.

Seeking solace into the night Into the sunrise we struggle To let painful memories take flight As we carefully try to tread water ~~~

The waves are especially rough We crave peace and tranquility.

Where there is tranquility The mood is calming But without peace There can be no joy Where there is fluidity Movement is therapy But without peace Nothing more than a ploy To be solidly engaged To seek, to find In love’s defining moment Peace Of mind.

I wrote and published the following in 2018: “
In 1996, I was on death’s doorstep in a New York intensive care unit.

I survived with…the music of my favorite classic rock musicians, the three tenors, the Orinoco Flow and Celtic beauty known as Enya made the unbearable, bearable.”

The 1996 backstory which is the introduction in my book and speech. They wanted me to imply that the same results could be had with the fads! But that is not how the human body and brain were brilliantly designed and it is not what transpired in 1996! Spin bikes, etc. You get it I am certain! I am so old-school. I use the term righteous knowledge in the second paragraph of chapter one. No one does that in the health & fitness industry. No one, but me.

With full blown septic shock and multiple organ system failure, I had many, many side effects cancer patients go through. I can speak firsthand to many issues during my 29 days in ICU/CCU and the aftermath. I help with firsthand experience and the integrity of an educator. “Although I suffered systemic inflammatory response syndrome, acute respiratory distress syndrome, on a respirator, acute renal failure, acute liver failure, complete gastrointestinal failure, and required multiple blood transfusions, I was awake, alert, and oriented the entire time and communicated by pointing to an alphabet board.

My heart was now working overtime to keep me alive.

The following day, I lay motionless but fully conscious. I watched the gut- wrenching distress on the faces of my husband and family as the respirator did the breathing for me. It broke my heart to see them work so hard to put on carefully choreographed smiles. I learned in an instant that there was no way to prepare for the catastrophic illness of a loved one. The fragility and fluidity of human life was now crystal clear.
At that moment, I remembered something the late wife of my husband’s former boss at IBM had told me years earlier when she was hospitalized just a few floors away. She said, “Audrey, it is sometimes easier to be the patient than the loved ones who helplessly watch.” I now understood what she meant. Loved ones also suffer and experience agony as they try to do everything possible to bring some semblance of relief to the patient and to themselves.”

My father was a proud Lebanese immigrant. From Beirut to Cairo to Paris to New York, my father took his Lebanese strength, integrity, and work ethic with him so he could give me the Promise of America but his greatest gift of all was his Lebanese heritage. The new dawn of Lebanon serves as the prime example of excellence & authenticity for the region and the world. Lebanon’s historic magnificence will re-emerge as the superior quality of life for citizens and visitors as it reclaims its legacy as the jewel of the Mediterranean.Gem stonePeace symbolRed heartFlag of Lebanon

When it comes to PREVENTING, MITIGATING, and REVERSING the gamut of conditions and diseases, as well as viral, bacterial, and other infections, neither the government nor technology can do for us what only we can do for ourselves:

“CLIMB, LIFT & EAT WELL…”Registered sign

I wrote an entire chapter on how to stay healthy and fit during business and leisure travel but now the tourism, travel & hospitality industries have been deliberately sacrificed for medical and pharmaceutical tyranny. If you have already read through my tweets and tweet responses you know that I know what is behind all the mayhem – power, control & greed.
As long as politicians and “others” continue to be pressured by those with power and $$$, this egregious takeover will not stop. The goal is power and control over the public NOT prevention, mitigation, and reversal using scientific FACTS based entirely on EMPIRICAL evidence. Nothing justifies what was perpetrated on us as a nation and worldwide. I am just appalled by how many are complicit in this complete disregard for truth and ethics…

Thank you and by the way, if you read the “About” section of my website, you will note I discuss the similarities between cardiovascular disease prevention and cancer prevention both in my book and book talk. I know what it feels like to be a dying patient. The difference is I lived to tell about so much that it helps both patients and their families.

THE AFTERMATH

Following the events of 1996, one might think something went terribly wrong but in reality something went right. My body fought hard to save itself from dying because I had been training it to do so without realizing it for the 6 years prior. Although since 1996, I have lived with severe nerve damage in both feet and my two big toes will never point due to shrinking tendons on both insteps, I climb my revolving stair machine daily and lift significant free-weight dumbbell and barbell loads during compound, multi-joint exercises in my home.

I will never be a ballerina, but I can dance until dawn.

As an expert on health and fitness during business and leisure travel, I fly on average 75,000 miles a year, domestically and internationally. To date, I have accrued one million documented miles. UCSF Medical Center is amazed how I travel across four continents with my “special feet.” A few years ago, a young 30- something in San Francisco told me she loved my outfit and that I would look really great in heels. I told her the physicians and nurses of UCSF Medical Center think I look really great in feet!

It is not that I avoid heels, I cannot even put them on let alone walk in them!
The interesting part is that my feet look very normal to orthopedic physicians!
Everything is lined up and I have no “pain” like other women in their feet.
I wear supportive and comfortable flat shoes.

The VAx vs The UnVAx

Not true if you are talking about mandates and passports.

In both cases, there is a problem’

Herd immunity is a scam. Vaccinated people spread the disease too. Take the vaccine if you feel it protects you but don’t think you are protecting others by doing so.
‘Herd Immunity’ isn’t a ‘scam’ – it is the natural end-state of EVERY single epidemic / pandemic. Claiming that HI can ONLY be achieved through vaccination is a scam…
From the article referred to above: “Dr. Haviv further specified that: “95% of the severe patients are vaccinated.”  What about the percent that didn’t die that were treated with therapeutics and prophylactics? Oh wait, they are not allowed to talk about those conspiracy theorists.

The rape of the mind: The Psychology of thought control.

SINCE 1933, when a completely drugged and trial-conditioned human wreck confessed to having started the Reichstag fire in Berlin, Dr. Joost A. M. Meerloo has studied the methods by which systematic mental pressure brings people to abject submission, and by which totalitarians imprint their subjective “truth” on their victims’ minds.  What’s the difference between a conspiracy theorist and a conspiracy in this Covid pandemic?

Actually the Pfizer jab does not reduce death rates as seen by their 6month trial data update. 15 dead in the vax group and 14 dead in control. Btw they vaxxed the control group at around 4 months. Their study is published here, which you could have easily googled.  Six Month Safety and Efficacy of the BNT162b2 mRNA COVID-19 Vaccine | medRxiv

Your welcome, enjoy, the data is in there somewhere I think at the bottom in a separate link. I usually use duckduckgo but lately they have been giving the same damn google results. Need to find another.

How can we find out who is being hospitalized and dying in Israel?

Are those vaccinated hospitalized and dying at sales rates as unvaccinated with current surge?

Anyone know how to find that out? @RWMaloneMD
It would be good to see this breakdown for hospitalized individuals for Covid infection.

I hear everyday from pro vaccination people that most hospitalized individuals are unvaccinated.

I wonder if this claim is true in Israel. 16% of the population is not vaccinated and they account for 14% of the cases. It does not appear that the vax cuts down the risk of infection at all anymore.

Proportionally slightly more of the vaxxed are getting infected.

There was no mankind on earth before THE VACCINE INDUSTRY came into existence!!

So get vaccinated to save t̶̶h̶̶e̶̶ v̶̶a̶̶c̶̶c̶̶i̶̶n̶̶e̶̶ i̶̶n̶̶d̶̶u̶̶s̶̶t̶̶r̶̶y̶̶ MANKIND.  image.pngNot really consistent with the story line pushed by legacy media in the USA.

Pandemic of the Vaccinated:
Not a pandemic of the unvaccinated in Israel. Stu Feiner is the source @StuartFeiner More on Israel cases. What is critical is to know about the mortality amongst vaccinated and unvaccinated. That would be a great indicator. It would be interesting to see the related hospitalisation. Any drill-down information available concerning how long ago the vaccinated got their vaccine and the percentage of cases in the array age group / time since vaccination? (Background: It is heard that the vaccines significantly lose efficiency over time).

Well Pfizer data shows no reduction in deaths and they never actually made that claim. Only ever reduction in severe cases. Trial data from 6 months showed 25 dead in the vax group and 14 in placebo. Which they vaxed the placebo after 4 months, I would assume to cover for increases. Is it too late for them (for their immune systems – of the vaccinated) to try other vaccines? Although they can’t try anything else yet because of the contract… Confounded face Their entire culture disgusts me! Millions lost their lives to end the atrocities & develop the #Nuremberg Code, yet they are damn proud to piss on it & segregate their society. The Jews should have been fighting for new trials to be held in Israel with Germany’s corruption. youtu.be/4r9F3DPgUuE

Ànd the US stopped tracking breakthrough illness in the vaccinated, in May?

Only tracking hospitalizations, now?

Is there a table like this from Israel but for hospitalizations and deaths? image.png
From Israeli covid site. When I see this, it raises my worst fears.

Not about Israel. But about people I have believed like yourself.

You are smart enough to know that what is important is not cases, but the % of vaccinated who are hospitalized or dying, their ages and conditions. This is missing here…. this might shed some light on it!!! This data is important too. Especially since they’re trying to push vaccine passports. Most Covid patients at Israeli hospitals fully vaccinated? What does this mean for Australia? | The Spectator Australia

From this we can make 2 hypotheses :

1. People sharing these raw stats are not competent enough to understand their inherent flaws.

2. Understand their flaws but want to manipulate.

Watching Fox this morning. He did say that within 2 weeks of your 3rd booster they have seen a difference if cases. Not sure if that will be long term or we are headed to a booster every 6 months. CRAZY!!! How much can your immune system take with all these vaccines?

The Percentage of fully vaccinated cases is in line with the percentage of the population fully vaccinated. This leads me to believe the “vaccines” do not prevent cases.

My next question would be: what are the outcomes associated with each cohort.

Well if 84% of the population is fully vaccinated it appears as though Covid is moving through Israel equally among the vaccinated and unvaccinated. It’s as if no one was vaccinated. This graph appears to dissolve the notion that there’s any benefit to being vaccinated.  Does anyone know the percentage of deaths of the 15,6321 vaccinated who got COVID and the 3038 unvaccinated who got COVID? Is there a difference in rate of death?

Keep up the good work exposing this false narrative about vaccinated vs unvaccinated. Flag of United States

Graphs from @feldman_gil  through August 23rd for cases and severe cases in Israel by vaccination status and age groups. Divergence (and reduction in vaccinated) for cases in the age groups well along booster initiative. Reduction not evident in severe cases/100K by age groups.

image.png

Not really surprising that there isn’t much effect on severe cases, since there was very little reduction of VE for severe disease. The analysis by @IsraelMOH didn’t reach statistical significance for reduction in VE for severe disease (check out the CI) image.png
These graphs show there HAS been a drop in severe cases in the elderly (look at raw #s):the severe patients graph is not designed well. https://twitter.com/LittleMoiz/status/1432284043899453440… it’s harder to see in normalized graphs, but @talirichards4 made this graph in log scale so you can even see it here:

image.png
Note this sequential drop suggests this is an effect of the booster rather than behavior, how severe cases started dropping in the age 60+ age group before they started dropping in the age 40-60 age group.
As it’s hard to imagine people aged 40-60 suddenly changing their behavior More recently Israel vaccinated vs unvaccinated – looks like a massive disaster. Israel is primarily Pfizer.

Source; https://data.gov.il/dataset/covid-
Looks like Israel is a test bed intended to frustrate the rest of the world as a failed ‘leader’ – Israel betrayed? Biblical self prophecy.
I think these numbers will change because they said they are going to count anyone without the booster as unvaccinated . …shouldn’t the “vaxxed” now be tested weekly for Covid at the workplace??
Am I to interpret this to suggest the mRNA vaccines are allowing the virus to survive and the host to be more contagious than non-vaccinated? Does this include J&J? And natural recoveries are better off than any of them datadashboard.health.gov.il/COVID-19/gener

If the vaxx was simply ineffective, wouldn’t we see about a 50/50 mix?

I’m not an expert, but basic logic suggests to me that the vaxx is counterproductive.

What percentage of the unvaxxed are getting covid?

Is it higher than that of the vaccinated? The graph only shows the percentage of vaccinated getting covid. It would be nice to compare that data, but this certainly says vaccinated are getting covid.  We can see now that the young get more affected than last year without any injection… probably a new variant … cannot be the shot , cannot be the shot, keep repeating and you will believe it!

In the end, it won’t really matter medically if you get the shot or not. Everyone needs or will get Covid and have to get over it. Sooner the better. If you think the shot makes your short term symptoms more tolerable at the risk of long term harm, then take it.  Pretty much follows the vaxxed rate. Unvaxxed should be much higher if the fear mongers are correct. Didn’t check the math on the other age cohorts, but for the 70-79 age range, the case rate is nearly identical for vaxxed vs unvaxxed (0.15% vs 0.14%, respectively).

Much more interesting to see hospitalizations/deaths by age cohort.
Latest data on Pfizer vaccine effectiveness against infection (any) which is very high in the recently immunized teen group, and getting back to high levels in older age groups boosted (w/ % boosted by age)

An English version of the same plot, indicating effectiveness is still hovering around 90% for recently-vaccinated teens in Israel. I hope the FDA will at least reconsider the current January 2022 estimate of an emergency use authorization for 5-11 y/os.

image.png
Crude vaccine effectiveness against infection (not hospitalization) is computed using data from the Israeli MoH dashboard, indicating the percent reduction in the rate of positive cases among vaccinated compared with unvaccinated individuals, without any adjustments. We should literally have booster-mobiles driving around the US. The idea that people are somehow fine getting infected and hoping they’re not in an ICU in two days when that’s clearly avoidable is insane.

People end up in ICU by the design of the current treatment protocol.

Upon positive tests, people are asked to stay at home without any medical interventions. Eventually, people who cannot get well by themselves end up in the hospital. These people need help with early intervention.  Is the effectiveness rate for 30-49 (2 groups) so low because their boosters were just given?

I believe so. Recent analysis from Israeli MoH suggests a partial response after 7-12 days and a full response after 12-16 days.

This also makes sense if we assume 2-4 days from shot to robust secondary immune response + 5-7 days from infection to a positive PCR test.   I don’t, only aggregate numbers for <60 and 60+. The “problem” with the June numbers is that infection rates were ridiculously low, 35 positives a day on June 1st (!), 310 on June 30th. I miss those numbers, but from a purely statistical point of view, August is so much better.

My 3rd Eye is Open

Everything is within we are all one all part of the same infinite awareness.

I am everything that I’m looking for because everything I am looking for is already inside me. #Wisdom #Spirituality

Coca-Cola sold 25 bottles in their first year but kept going.

Don’t quit. Things may just work out yet. – Steve Keating

Everything is Within – Lynna K Teer.

Mindset and Manifesting Mindset and Manifesting: When I first realized this, I felt that there was a feeling of frustration. However, the awakening  process is something each, and every one of us will eventually experience.  Every individual on the planet is in a different state of consciousness (rich,    poor, sick, healthy, aware, asleep) at any given time.  So, we have all sought or continue to seek answers outside of ourselves at one point or another.  However, the answers we look for are within. We need to be still and aware.

Spending time in silence and observing your thoughts takes some practice and isn’t always easy in the beginning.  At first, you might experience a barrage of thoughts. Now, depending on what you’ve experienced throughout your life, those thoughts could be a mess to sort out.  However, underneath all of the thoughts that inundate the mind daily are the sweet, glorious silence and the “I AM” that you are, that we all are.

Everything is Within

What I’ve realized now that I’ve gotten to the point of being able to observe my thoughts, either in meditation or just throughout the day, is that I feel so much peace.  I don’t often feel frustrated, and I don’t wonder what life means or ask who am I or what am I supposed to be doing?  I am not trying to fulfill anything on the outside.  What we search for is already within us.
Once you get to a place of understanding that and being comfortable and patient with yourself, peace will settle in.  Eventually, searching for anything outside of yourself will feel like a struggle. It won’t feel right, or at least that has been my experience.  There’s a definite shift in feeling that comes with knowing that everything you seek is already within you.

Try it for yourself.

Meditate and observe your thoughts throughout the day.  If you struggle at first, keep at it.  If it feels forced, don’t be hard on yourself and try it a little bit at a time until it gets easier.  Eventually, you may start to have visions, receive revelations, or have mystical dreams, just like I did.  Remember that everything is within so stop searching on the outside.

Within each of us, there is this deep knowing. Some call it divine connection, a sixth sense, or intuition, but I like to refer to it as the inner guru. It’s the part of us that knows we are whole and complete, the part of us that doesn’t seek outside confirmation or validation. But we’re trained out of our relationship with it. As children, we are told to listen to our parents and that they’ll have the answers. But what happens when they don’t?

As we age, we seek the answers elsewhere: teachers, books, courses, retreats, self-help programs and events. And while this helps us to expand our inner knowledge and learn new languages to understand and shape the world we’re in, until we turn our attention inward, we are always left wanting more.

Oftentimes, the start of our spiritual path or awakening begins with one of these outside influences. Think of the first time you felt a full-bodied A-HA moment. Was it attending an event? OR Was it a TED talk video? – YouTube A podcast? This outside catalyst that awakens the inner spark is the first nudge we need to start conversing with our inner guru. That event is just a mirror reflecting back to you the deep knowing that you’re already carrying in your heart, that is waiting for you to reconnect with it.

Because we experience this awakening due to an outside influence, we somehow start believing that in order to have these transformations, we need help from the outside. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. Here are the 3 steps to building a relationship with the Self, in order to trust your inner guru to support you as you navigate through life.

This outside catalyst that awakens the inner spark

is the first nudge we need to start conversing with our inner guru.

1. Begin Within

Through our teens and adult years, we become very familiar with a little voice inside that whispers judgmental and critical thoughts about ourselves and the people around us. I like to refer to this voice as the inner critic. The thing is, because it can become so loud, it not only drowns out the voice of the inner guru, but we start believing it’s who we are. We can’t distinguish the shadow’s voice from our own.

When we keep ourselves busy, over scheduled, over stimulated, and distracted by things like social media, we drown out our own voice, and that of the inner guru, feeding the shadow self with every negative thought. By tuning out, we allow ourselves to tune in. To listen. To engage. And that’s when it becomes easier to hear the whispers of your heart.

You can do this by spending time in nature, feeling the wind on your skin, and listening to the birds call around you. You can do all things mindfully, like eating or walking. Use all of your senses, take in the experience of engaging with the world around you. You can meditate – whether it’s sitting in silence, following a guided visualization, or chanting. You can journal, giving voice to all of the things that go unsaid so you can get to know yourself in new, more intimate ways.

By beginning within, you bring yourself to the present moment. And when you are fully present, the voice of the inner guru becomes clear.

2. Incorporate More Play

Connecting with our inner knowing is an instinctual part of life in a human form. When we’re babies, we recognize our hunger, as children, we wander around without a filter saying exactly what comes to mind. Intuition is instinct, but we unlearn it as we grow. Add to that the stress from deadlines, bills, and everyday demands, and we are now so far removed from a part of us that is so natural.

When we allow ourselves to play, we reconnect with the little self that knows what it needs and what to do. We tune out our to-do lists, and our schedules and allow ourselves to just be. Once this becomes a regular, integrated part of our lives, it becomes easier to tune out in order to tune in. It’s a natural return to the state of who we always were.

When we allow ourselves to play, we reconnect with the little self that knows what it needs and what to do. We tune out our to-do lists, and our schedules and allow ourselves to just be.

3. Create Rituals that Work

There is a sacred happening that occurs when we carve out space, set intention, and create time that is solely dedicated to our growth. Where we get lost though, is in making things so big and so complicated that doing the ritual feels like more work than the benefits that come from it. We buy into the idea that rituals need to be a specific way that doesn’t align for us, or require expensive materials, so we choose to do nothing instead.

You don’t have to chant after 5 am yoga to consider yourself a sacred being. Sometimes a ritual is in the quiet you take to sip a cup of tea, or the careful time you set aside for refilling a fountain pen, or the steady breath that comes from a good hike. It all comes back to mindfulness and doing things with intention. They become sacred because you decide they are.

4. You Don’t Have To Do It All Alone

None of this is said with the intention of discounting outside help. Coaches, mentors, teachers, authors, speakers all have a way of revealing new ways for us to take our inner work further, and deeper, with more meaning. When you’ve fostered a loving relationship with your inner guru, you’ll know not only when to ask, but how to know who to invest in to help you get to the next level in your awakening. You’ll be able to discern which modalities are right for you, even if they seem a bit non-traditional or something you’ve never tried before. You’ll also know if the fit is right. Sometimes an opportunity will present itself, and most of you feels right and excited about it, but a small part of you is holding back. This could mean it’s not the right time or the right teacher but the modality is one you need to explore. Trust your inner guru to lead the way. Trust me when I say you’ll know if it’s right.

What Does Your Body Say?

I’d like to leave you with this one little exercise that I teach my clients for knowing how to trust what their intuition is guiding them toward. This is especially helpful for the people who are quite heady and intellectual and have a hard time tuning in.

Start off with thinking about something you really love. It could be your best day ever or spending time with someone who just makes you feel really great. Tune into your body, especially in your gut, and see how it feels. It should feel really open, and expansive. This is your body’s way of saying YES.

Next, do the same thing but focusing on something that’s really hard, challenging, or stressful. How does your body change when you think about that? It probably feels really heavy and closed off. This is how your body communicates a big NO.

This is your “gut instinct” which is the physical expression of your inner guru. It becomes a barometer for decision making. When you think about an opportunity (a trip, a job, a new relationship), does it make you feel open and expansive, or closed off and tight? Like all things, it requires a bit of practice, but the more we tune in, the more smoothly we can navigate life.

You have everything within, right here, right now, in this moment. It’s time to start putting it to work. ~ Seryna Myers

It’s still dropping knowledge after 22 years. And will continue to do so through genres and for future generations.

When she refused to get in line and follow directions those who sat in high places tried to destroy her name and reputation. Yet here we are 22 years later still listening to her music and knowing the relevance of this song in particular. Ms. Lauren Hill sent a powerful message that is still relevant and still needs to be heard and talked about. I bought this album when it first dropped. I listened to it in its entirety over and over, especially this song.

This is a heartbreaking story, @POTUS  you are the most heartless, incoherent, disgrace of a president we’ve ever had.

‘Mr. President: Save me and my family. Don’t forget me’
US special operations vets carry out missions to rescue Afghan allies

“Hello Mr. President:

Save  my family and me,” Mohammed, who asked not to use his full name while in hiding, told The Wall Street Journal as the last Americans flew out of Kabul on Monday. “Don’t forget me here.” Mohammed, his wife, and their four children are hiding from the Taliban after his years-long attempt to get out of Afghanistan got tangled in the bureaucracy. They are among countless Afghan allies who were left behind when the U.S. ended its 20-year military campaign in Afghanistan on Monday.

Mohammed was a 36-year-old interpreter for the U.S. Army in 2008 when two U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopters made an emergency landing in Afghanistan during a blinding snowstorm, according to Army veterans who worked with him at the time. Onboard were three U.S. senators: Mr. Biden, the Delaware Democrat, John Kerry, (D., Mass.) and Chuck Hagel, (R., Neb.).

As a private security team with the former firm Blackwater and U.S. Army soldiers monitored for any nearby Taliban fighters, the crew sent out an urgent call for help. At Bagram Air Field, Mohammed jumped in a Humvee with a Quick Reaction Force from the Arizona National Guard working with the 82nd Airborne Division and drove hours into the nearby mountains to rescue them, said Brian Genthe, then serving as a staff sergeant in the Arizona National Guard who brought Mohammed along on the rescue mission.

AMERICANS LEFT BEHIND IN AFGHANISTAN DESPITE PSAKI CLAIM IT WAS ‘IRRESPONSIBLE’ TO SAY SOME ARE ‘STRANDED’

Mohammed spent much of his time in a tough valley where the soldiers said he was in more than 100 firefights with them. The soldiers trusted him so much that they would sometimes give him a weapon to use if they got in trouble when they went into tough areas, Mr. Genthe said. “His selfless service to our military men and women is just the kind of service I wish more Americans displayed,” Lt. Col. Andrew R. Till wrote in June to support Mohammed’s application for a Special Immigrant Visa.

Mohammed’s visa application became stuck after the defense contractor he worked for lost the records he needed for his application, Mr. Genthe said. Then the Taliban seized Kabul on Aug. 15. Like thousands of others, Mohammed said he tried his luck by going to the Kabul airport gates, where he was rebuffed by U.S. forces. Mohammed could get in, they told him, but not his wife or their children.

Army veterans called lawmakers and issued dire appeals to U.S. officials for help. “If you can only help one Afghan, choose [Mohammed],” wrote Shawn O’Brien, an Army combat veteran who worked with him in Afghanistan in 2008. “He earned it.” A White House official declined to comment, saying the administration couldn’t discuss individual cases for confidentiality reasons.

PSAKI SIDESTEPS QUESTION ON WHETHER BIDEN REGRETS AFGHANISTAN PULLOUT

During the 2008 presidential campaign, Mr. Biden, who was then running for vice president, often spoke of the helicopter incident and the trip as a way of burnishing his foreign-policy credentials. “If you want to know where al Qaeda lives, you want to know where [Osama] bin Laden is, come back to Afghanistan with me,” he said on the campaign trail in October, just months after the February rescue. “Come back to the area where my helicopter was forced down…in the middle of those mountains. I can tell you where they are.”

The trip to Afghanistan was one of the many overseas trips the three senators took together. Their Army helicopters’ emergency landing in a valley about 20 miles southeast of Bagram Air Field wasn’t in an area that was Taliban-controlled, but it wasn’t exactly friendly. The day before, the 82nd Airborne had killed nearly 2 dozen Taliban insurgents in a major fight about 10 miles away, said soldiers who fought there at the time.

While trying to stay warm in the helicopter:

The three jokers — joked about throwing snowballs at the Taliban, the senators said later. “We were going to send Biden out to fight the Taliban with snowballs, but we didn’t have to do it,” Mr. Kerry said after they were rescued. Instead, Mohammed joined the Army Humvees and three Blackwater SUVs as they barreled through thick snow to find the helicopters. The senators were sped back to the U.S. base with the convoy, said Matthew Springmeyer, who was leading the Blackwater security in the helicopters that day.

Mohammed stood guard with Afghan soldiers on one side of the helicopters while members of the 82nd Airborne protected the other side, said Mr. Genthe. When curious locals came too close, Mohammed would use a bullhorn to tell them to go away. They stayed out there for 30 hours in the freezing temperatures until the U.S. military could get the helicopters back in the air and the soldiers back to Bagram. Now, Mohammed is in hiding.

“I can’t leave my house,” he said on Tuesday. “I’m very scared.”

‘We Will Get You Out’: White House Sends Message to Afghan Interpreter (msn.com)

He helped rescue Sen. Joe Biden from a snowy Afghan valley in 2008. Now he’s asking President Biden to save him. Back then, M. was an Army interpreter. Now he’s in hiding from the Taliban after being left behind when the US withdrew. An Afghan interpreter who helped rescue Joe Biden 13 years ago implored the commander in chief to evacuate him and his family from Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The US is out of Afghanistan: What happens next in the nation led by the Taliban?

‘We will get you out’: White House responds to plea of interpreter who helped rescue Biden but is still stuck in Afghanistan

White House press secretary Jen Psaki responded to Mohammed’s plea for help Tuesday, saying the United States is committed to extracting him and his family from the country.

“We will get you out, we will honor your service, and we’re committed to doing exactly that,” Psaki said.

Afghan allies who aided U.S. forces during the 20-year war in Afghanistan face retribution from the Taliban, the fundamentalist group that staged a swift takeover once troops began withdrawing from the country. Mohammed and others like him have been hampered by the Special Immigrant Visa process that would ensure entry into the USA.

State Department spokesperson Ned Price said last week the visa system has chronic staffing shortages, lacks a coordinating official and has a bureaucratic 14-step process enshrined in statute – all leftovers from the Trump administration.

Price said the Biden administration added resources and implemented changes to reduce average processing time by more than a year. The number of visas issued rose from 100 in March to 813 per week, he said.

Mohammed’s visa application was delayed after the defense contractor he worked for lost the records required for his application, the Journal reported.

He tried going to the designated airport gates at Kabul’s Hamid Karzai International Airport and was told he could get in but not his family.

Fully Vaccinated Woman Dies of COVID After Taking Carnival Cruise to Belize, 27 Others Tested Positive on Ship, ALL VACCINATED!

 August 25, 2021 No Comments

A beloved grandmother has tragically died of Covid after taking a Carnival cruise to Belize earlier this month.

77-year-old Marilyn Tackett, a retired Sunday school teacher from Oklahoma, boarded a Carnival cruise ship on July 31 out of Galveston, Texas. On August 4, Tackett, who was fully vaccinated for Covid-19, began having breathing problems and decided to stay on the ship as her family went and toured Belize.

The ship’s medical team tested her, and determined that she was Covid positive.

The cruise’s medical doctor made the determination that Tackett needed to be put on a ventilator and had her transferred to a local hospital in Belize.

The family raised money through a GoFundMe to pay for the $5,000 demanded by the hospital in Belize.

Eventually, Tacket was flown to a hospital in Oklahoma where she passed away on Aug 14.

“We just wanted to get on here and Thank all of you for your support, love and prayers. Memaw fought as long as she could,” the family said on its GoFundMe page.

“To know she’s reunited with lost loved ones and that she’s basking in The Lord’s presence now is a huge comfort. We’ll always miss and love her and continue to keep her legacy alive. We’ll continue to walk in Faith like she taught us and try to spread love and kindness like she did. Please continue to keep her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in your prayers as we lay her to rest. And please know we love and appreciate you all,” they added.

According to ABC News, 27 other people who were fully vaccinated also tested positive for Covid.

ABC News reported:

At least one person who sailed on a Carnival cruise out of Galveston in late July to early August died from COVID-19, the cruise line confirmed.

The cruise line is pushing back against what they call “disinformation,” saying it is almost certain the woman who died did not contract COVID on the ship.

Earlier this month, it was reported that 26 crew members and one passenger aboard the ship tested positive for COVID-19 before arriving in Belize City.

All 27 were vaccinated, had mild or no symptoms, and were in isolation, according to a statement from Carnival at the time. The tourism board said 99.98% of the ship’s crew was vaccinated, as well as 96.5% of its passengers.

In a statement to ABC News, Carnival argued that Tackett “almost certainly did not contract COVID on our ship,” and stressed that the crew is committed to protecting the health and safety of guests.

The cruise line said it has since implemented additional health and safety measures. Vaccinated travelers will now be required to present both a proof of vaccination and a negative COVID test at check-in. Unvaccinated guests must be tested twice before boarding the ship, and again at debarkation.

Full statement from Carnival to ABC News:

“Carnival has implemented a suite of protocols that are designed to flex up as needed to adapt to the changing public health situation related to COVID-19. We meet the standards for a vaccinated cruise as defined by the CDC, with at least 95 percent of our guests and all of our crew being vaccinated, and then implemented additional measures, as we are now requiring vaccinated guests to present both proof of vaccination and a negative COVID test at check-in.

Those few guests who cannot be vaccinated are tested twice before boarding the ship, and again at debarkation. And all guests must wear masks in the indoor areas of the ship where people gather, such as dining rooms, theaters and casinos. Unfortunately, no venue on land or at sea is COVID-free right now, but we are committed to protecting the health and safety of our guests, crew and the communities we visit and have not hesitated to act quickly and go beyond existing public health guidelines.

Specifically to your question about the death of a Carnival Vista guest:

We are very sorry to hear about the death of a guest who sailed on Carnival Vista. Regrettably, there is a fair amount of disinformation about the circumstances of this matter. The guest almost certainly did not contract COVID on our ship, and she was assisted with expert medical care on board and was ultimately evacuated from Belize after we provided a resource to her family. We have continued to provide support to her family and are not going to add to their sadness by commenting further.”

Research how many children go missing every year just in the United States.

Hint: Way higher numbers then any current or previous Pandemic.
If people want to follow the science, they should take note that the best, multilayered masks reduce transmission of particles that are between 0.5μ & 10μ. Covid19 particles are between 0.05μ & 0.14μ. Any gaps between the mask & skin reduce effectiveness by 50%.  Parents, even here in TX, are panicked about the governor’s insistence that parents decide whether their children wear masks at school. They scream, “follow the science.” Parents are begging for mandates. #masksdontwork
Yet, science leans more to kids not wearing masks than the opposite. And they don’t actually mean follow the Science…they mean follow the pseudo science gobbledygook narrative they push…the actual science/data disputes them. Those Lemmings follow the #PoliticalScience. If they followed the ACTUAL #science, we’d be out of this mess by now. #Comply

What is science? Science that comes from big pharma funded research.
People that “follow science” couldn’t pass their HS science classes, but yet are now experts on all things science-related. I.E. Space, Health, Environment, Weather… People who say they “follow the science” are invariably authoritarian morons who have panic attacks at the notion that someone, somewhere may be exercising the rights of a free individual in contravention of the soulless herd.

Which science do you follow? That’s the question. Not all scientists agree and scientific consensus does not equal scientific truth necessarily. It’s the Scientific Method they need to follow, not the scientists applying it. They are as ego & money driven as any CEO or Wall Street investor. Never get in the way of a researcher and his competitive federal grant renewal: they will beg, borrow, steal, claim whatever, to get $ DOLLAR!!!

If they were the party of science then why mandate vaccines when…

Quote science and data to the lemmings who say “follow the science.”

Watch faces get red, tears/crying and then most definitely – rage.

Or they simply go silent. I’ve asked dozens of mask proponents for a single RCT demonstrating mask efficacy against viruses. They fall silent—which of course was to be expected. They selectively follow the science…it’s only when it suits their agenda.

Free thinkers no longer have the right to free thought. The concept of pandemic has completely escaped you then. It is a scenario where individuals choosing certain habits and behaviors in public affect a lot of others’ health. Nothing would give me more satisfaction than true freedom and without consequences to others. Well freedom is not a one-way street-If one has the right in the name of freedom not to take precautions against catching & spreading a disease-Then those who have the freedom to say-You will be ostracized from those of us who have protected ourselves!

It doesn’t matter how safe you say a vaccine is – if you are openly wishing death on people who don’t want it, then they’re not going to trust you. Saying that unvaccinated people don’t deserve medical care does not sound rational or scientific. It sounds murderous and unhinged.  Liberals only believe in science if it is in line with their political beliefs. If it doesn’t science is trash. Science tells us there are only two genders for example. Yes, but they are also quick to abandon ‘the science’ when only anecdotes support their desire &… their “science” which is pseudoscience = science fiction…   Can’t count how many people talk about one guy who was previously infected who caught Delta and it went badly, after the Israeli study showed natural immunity stronger than Pfizer. This truly is one of the best and informative interviews I’ve ever seen about the history of Fauci, Aids, Cancer and how All that ties in to the ‘vaccine’. Powerful Interview! You gonna believe their lies or your eyes!?

The Pentagon claims all military equipment left behind was rendered unusable.

Did they miss the videos of the Taliban flying our helicopters and riding around in our armored vehicles?
BS the equipment was a trade / pipeline. Soldiers and US citizens are collateral (hostage), interpreters and family first will be brutally murdered as traders and example for others in non compliance.   In the beginning they said the equipment was left behind for the Afghan Army. It’s a lie just like everything else.

So why would they have disabled them.

Tired of being lied to by my own government!
Just a mere fraction was disabled so the illegitimate regime could report something without it looking like a total lie. Out of 22,700 Humvees, about 2700 were disabled, as one example.   The same Pentagon that said they “didn’t leave service dogs in cages’ ‘… nope, they opened the cages and left them to fend for themselves. We saw that disabled Black Hawk flying around with an Afghan hanging from it by the neck.

The Afghan looked disabled, but not the Black Hawk.

Rumor: Or 19 year old MIA American Marine?

Pentagon are LIARS & TRAITORS, just like the WH and the State Dept.

#Joehasnosoul #joehasgottogo

They are under the misconception that we will believe whatever lie they feed us doing damage control. They must be super worried bc I haven’t heard anyone screaming about white supremacy and there is even a downtick regarding Covid posts since this all hit the fan. Spin City and Wag the Dog are alive and well! Right – they seem to have forgotten about the stash left at Bagram air base. Smoke and mirrors with Sleepy Joe and his handlers …they’re trying to convince us .They are habitual liars . They have no intention of telling us the details that we have the right to know.

The truth might mess up their agenda.

They lie to try to cover their screw up.

Most Americans aren’t dumb enough to fall for it. Sadly some are: Don’t believe what you are seeing with your own two eyes…If you saw it, it didn’t happen that way. It must be the new mentality. They have lied about EVERYTHING since November 3rd. Why start telling the truth now? One cannot believe anything today. Just assume it’s all lies and you will be fine. You can’t trust politicians…but the communists and the liberals can’t even tell when they themselves…are lying! It is expected! Ask any of your friends that may have grown up during The Cold War Reagan Years!

Lying is the base of communism…followed by 330 million +mass murder.

In an interview with Dan Ball on One America News on August 30.

President Trump said the military should go back and claim their equipment.

image.png
@DanNewsManBall They think we are all so stupid that we cannot use the internet to see these videos. Sad thing is that sooooo many of their voters ARE that stupid. I can’t believe that the corruption and lying has moved into the Pentagon. Where does the cancer stop?

They are sugar coating it now. MSNBC says Joe has done a great job.
Now I expect he will get the Nobel Peace Prize soon enough. That thing has been cheapened when they gave Obama one. Our gov’t has gotten away with lying to our faces so it is any surprise that we can only count on more lies. When you let your kid lie to you it is inevitable that they will only lie more and more. I wish they would stop lying.

All those weapons were unusable – I don’t think so.

America wake up cause you are being played….They are pathological liars. They have been lying a lot about this Afghanistan debacle. “Where did all of this cash come from? Having flashbacks to pallets of cash delivered to other terrorists in Iran. WTH? ” / Twitter Looks like the pallets of cash from the Obama era Iran deal. Same playbook. I swear this was a deal between China and Biden. All that cash and American guns was not left by accident!

What the hell is going on? If the US govt were as capable of taking care of its citizens as it is accidentally giving money and munitions to terrorists, we’d live in a much better country. “Go to the thirty second mark, and then remember that homeless veterans are living on the sidewalks of our cities. #WayToGoJoe https://t.co/Mi6ce7oCv1” / Twitter

If people knew the truth – would they think the same? Why does the U.S. WAR Mongering Uni-Party keep illegally meddling in other countrie$.

The military-industrial complex is at the root of Washington’s sale of arms to foreign governments who commit atrocities, an ever-increasing defense budget, the NSA and others spying on all American citizens, the Pentagon helping militarize local police forces, and a host of other unintended consequences due to this misallocation of resources.

A term made popular by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in his 1961 farewell address.

The “military-industrial complex” describes the insidious relationship between defense contractors and American politicians.

Not that I think it’s a good idea to give pallets of cash to any county – and especially not the Taliban. Although let’s remember – the Taliban did not attack the U.S. on 9/11 (we were told people from Saudi Arabia did it).

Makes your blood boil? That is what I go to work everyday to bust my azz to be taxed to death to give it to TERRORISTS?

Joe Biden has lost his effing collective mind.

THEY’RE LIARS and they knew everything all along.

They traded their souls away to the devil for some Money bag because they could care less about their own troops much less the American people.

UN report warns Taliban going ‘door to door’ for wanted | Taliban News | Al Jazeera Newsflash, our government is lying to us about everything.

Most concerning is they are lying about who won the 2020 election.

Democrats believe if they repeat the lie often enough we have no choice but to believe it. As with the ppl in the WH, anything told to us by the pentagon should be taken with a huge grain of salt. No way they could have stored that much equipment at that small airport. They probably destroyed or deactivated just what was within the airport! The BIG BIG mistake was vacating Bagram! It’s now sweetly set up for China! Fire the Generals!!

Brought to you by the same pentagon that spends $500 for a hammer, wants to cram CRT down service members throats & forcibly jab its own with an unproven untested poisonous “vax”. BS night vision goggles, trucks, drones, helicopters etc. looked pretty operational to me.  It was an unauthorized arms deal that bypassed congress. Now we can pay ransom on those they don’t kill and watch the atrocities unfold on TV. 81+ million people should be demanding the resignation of this entire administration.

Watch Republic World on YouTube. They are still in Afghanistan.

All those guns looked operational too. And what’s with all the Taliban running around US uniforms. We probably have no idea what all they left behind. If they were willing to leave actual Americans anything is fair game.   US troops seeing the Taliban parading around in US military uniform must be the ULTIMATE slap in the face.

It’s a little too late in the game for them to start denying what the truth is. Tucker Carlson – Joe Biden Just Made The Taliban The Most Dangerous Army In The World – YouTube

The entire administration is nothing but lies and little red Riding Hood circling back does no one any good. They are a fraud and now it has been proven 13 down and I hope no more to come. Every lie has its shelf life. This one while on its way to the shelf, fell flat and broke. Yeah, it makes me sick that they lie to us so easily and believe that we are so stupid that we believe them.

Their base may believe them and that is why they call us terrorists.

Because his Pentagon leaders are busy teaching white rage, CRT and they are busy with failing. They are failing . We should be teaching how to be a great warrior not woke. They all need to RESIGN along with Biden, Blinken, Sullivan, Austin, Milley, Kirby and Psaki. They think we will just gobble up their bullsh*t like the libs do.

Refugees are led through the departure terminal to a bus at Dulles International irport after being evacuated from Kabul following the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan.

As Biden repeats claim that ‘nobody could have known’ Afghan Army would collapse, bombshell transcript from July reveals he pressured Afghan President Ghani to create ‘perception’ Taliban wasn’t winning ‘WHETHER IT’S TRUE OR NOT’

  • Reuters on Tuesday released excerpts from last call between Biden and Ghani before the Afghan president fled – Bing
  • They talked for about 14 minutes on July 23 as the Taliban advanced rapidly
  • Biden told his counterpart of a perception that the fight against the Taliban was not going well
  • ‘There is a need, whether it is true or not … to project a different picture,’ he said
  • Comments are indication Biden knew it was matter of time before Taliban won
  • In months leading up to withdrawal, Biden predicted pullout would go smoothly
  • Neither appeared to realize just how badly things would go
  • Less than four weeks later the Taliban had captured Kabul

President Joe Biden wanted the now-departed Afghan president to create the ‘perception’ that his government was capable of holding off the Taliban – an indication he knew it was only a matter of time before the US ally fell to the Islamic group even while reassuring Americans at home that it would not happen.

In the last phone call between Biden and his Afghan then-counterpart Ashraf Ghani, the American president said they needed to change perceptions of the Taliban‘s rapid advance ‘whether it is true or not,’ according to excerpts published on Tuesday.

Four weeks before Kabul collapsed, Ghani pleaded for more air support and money for soldiers who had not had a pay rise in a decade.

A transcript obtained by Reuters reveals two leaders oblivious to the impending disaster and an American president focused on spinning the message.

‘I need not tell you the perception around the world and in parts of Afghanistan, I believe, that things are not going well in terms of the fight against the Taliban,’ Biden said.

‘And there is a need, whether it is true or not, there is a need to project a different picture.’

The Taliban were already capturing district after district across the country, while the US and Afghanistan were at loggerheads over tactics.

In the months leading up to the chaotic US military withdrawal from Afghanistan, which was completed on Monday, Biden was telling the public a different story – that the withdrawal would be done smoothly and that Washington’s Afghan allies were in control.

‘I don’t think anybody anticipated that,’ Biden told ABC News when asked about the swift disintegration of the Afghan security forces.

In April, Biden said that the US couldn’t stay in Afghanistan forever and that it was time to bring the troops home.

‘We’ll do it responsibly, deliberately, and safely. And we will do it in full coordination with our allies and partners, who now have more forces in Afghanistan than we do,’ Biden said.

‘And the Taliban should know that if they attack us as we draw down, we will defend ourselves and our partners with all the tools at our disposal.’

In July, Biden said that the withdrawal, which was to be complete by August 31, was ‘proceeding in a secure and orderly way.’ He gave no indication that it would be chaotic.

When asked if a Taliban takeover of Afghanistan was inevitable, the president responded: ‘No, it is not.’

Biden said that the Afghan government has ‘300,000 well-equipped (forces)  as well-equipped as any army in the world – and an air force against something like 75,000 Taliban.

‘It is not inevitable.’

When Biden was asked if he trusted the Taliban, the president replied: ‘No. But I trust the capacity of the Afghan military, who is better trained, better equipped, and more competent in terms of conducting war.’

The president was then asked about his own intelligence community’s assessment that the Afghan government would likely collapse.

‘That is not true,’ Biden responded. ‘They did not reach that conclusion.’

‘The intelligence community did not say, back in June or July, that in fact this was going to collapse like it did,’ Biden told ABC News earlier this month.

Biden said that he was not told that the Taliban would take over as quickly as they did. Instead, he said there was a possibility it would take more time.

‘Not even close,’ Biden said.

Behind the scenes, however, Biden apparently knew that the situation was more precarious.

Two weeks after his remarks to reporters denying that a Taliban takeover was inevitable, Biden and Ghani spoke for about 14 minutes on July 23. It was their last conversation before the Taliban captured the capital.

Ghani fled the presidential palace, Kabul and the country on August 15.

By then a chaotic evacuation was already under way, helping tens of thousands of people to safety as the cost of 13 American troops and dozens of Afghans killed in a suicide attack on Kabul airport.

But in mid July, Biden was intent on Ghani delivering a public message and public plan that would shore up confidence in the Afghan government.

‘You clearly have the best military, you have 300,000 well-armed forces versus 70-80,000 and they’re clearly capable of fighting well, we will continue to provide close air support, if we know what the plan is and what we are doing,’ he said.

He pushed Ghani to allow his Defense Minister General Bismillah Khan Mohammadi to pursue a strategy that would focus on defending major population centers.

And he urged the Afghan president to bring together some of the most powerful anti-Taliban warlords in a show of support to reverse perceptions of a crumbling government.

‘But I really think, I don’t know whether you’re aware, just how much the perception around the world is that this is looking like a losing proposition, which it is not, not that it necessarily is that, but so the conclusion I’m asking you to consider is to bring together everyone from [Former Vice President Abdul Rashid] Dostum, to [Former President Hamid] Karzai and in between,’ he said.

‘If they stand there and say they back the strategy you put together, and put a warrior in charge, you know a military man, Khan in charge of executing that strategy, and that will change perception, and that will change an awful lot I think.’

Ghani responded by saying Afghanistan was facing not just the Taliban, but their foreign backers.

‘We are facing a full-scale invasion, composed of Taliban, full Pakistani planning and logistical support, and at least 10-15,000 international terrorists, predominantly Pakistanis thrown into this,’ he said.

But he also asked that American close air support be ‘front loaded’ to help with the challenges faced by the Afghan army immediately.

Details of their conversation emerged a day after the last U.S. troops were flown out of Kabul ending America’s longest war.

In a follow-up call later that day that did not include the US president, Biden’s National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, General Mark Milley and U.S. Central Command commander General Frank McKenzie spoke to Ghani.

Reuters also obtained a transcript of that call.

In this call, too, an area of focus was the global perception of events on the ground in Afghanistan.

Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told Ghani ‘the perception in the United States, in Europe and the media sort of thing is a narrative of Taliban momentum, and a narrative of Taliban victory. And we need to collectively demonstrate and try to turn that perception, that narrative around.’

‘I do not believe time is our friend here. We need to move quickly,’ McKenzie added.

A spokesperson for McKenzie declined to comment. A spokesman for Milley did not respond by publication time.

The last United States forces left Afghanistan late Monday, ending a 20-year occupation that began shortly after Al Qaeda’s attacks on 9/11, cost over $2 trillion, took more than 170,000 lives and ultimately failed to defeat the Taliban, the Islamist militants who allowed Al Qaeda to operate there.

Five American C-17 cargo jets flew out of Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul just before midnight, the officials said, completing a hasty evacuation that left behind tens of thousands of Afghans desperate to flee the country, including former members of the security forces and many who held valid visas to enter the United States.

“A new chapter of America’s engagement with Afghanistan has begun,” Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken said on Monday evening. “It’s one in which we will lead with our diplomacy. The military mission is over.”

But the war prosecuted by four presidents over two decades, which gave Afghans a shot at democracy and freed many women to pursue education and careers, failed in nearly every other goal. Ultimately, the Americans handed the country back to the same militants they drove from power in 2001.

Jubilant Taliban fighters and their supporters reveled in victory as the news became clear. Celebratory gunfire broke out across the city in the predawn hours on Tuesday in Kabul, the arc of tracer rounds lighting up the night sky.

“The last American soldiers departed from Kabul airport, and our country has achieved full independence, thanks to God,” Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesman, said on Twitter.

Control of the airport was left in the hands of the Taliban, who said they were still working on the shape of their new government.

At the airport, where scenes of mass desperation and carnage this past week became indelible images of the Americans’ final days, only a few hundred Afghans still waited at the gates on Monday night as the last flights departed.

The war began under President George W. Bush as a hunt for Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden, the Qaeda leader who oversaw the 9/11 attacks on the United States. On that score, it succeeded: Al Qaeda was driven out and Bin Laden was killed by an American SEAL team in Pakistan in 2011.

But the United States, confident it had routed the Taliban, refused their entreaties for a negotiated surrender and plowed ahead with an enormous effort to not only drive them out but to construct a Western-style democracy in Afghanistan. The lengthy occupation allowed the Taliban to regroup, casting itself as the national resistance to the American invaders and, three American presidents later, driving them out in a war of attrition, much as Afghans had done to the Soviets in the 1980s.

The United States departure was marred by a ghastly burst of civilian casualties that seemed emblematic of the American missteps in the war.

A drone strike that the U.S. military said was aimed at thwarting an attack on the airport killed 10 civilians, survivors said, including seven children, an aid worker for an American charity organization, and a contractor with the U.S. military.

Such so-called civilian collateral damage was a primary reason so many Afghans turned against the Americans after initial good will in the early years of the U.S. intervention. In the end, the number of Afghan civilians killed in the war — more than 47,000 according to Brown University’s Cost of War project — approached the number of dead fighters.

The Taliban gave few signs on Monday that they were ready to govern a country of nearly 40 million facing a major humanitarian crisis, with about half the population malnourished, according to the United Nations. The Taliban’s leader, the cleric and judge Haibatullah Akhundzada, remained out of sight, having issued no statement since the insurgents seized Kabul two weeks ago. One Kabul-based diplomat expressed doubt over whether he is even alive, though a Taliban spokesman insisted Mr. Akhundzada was in Kandahar, in southern Afghanistan.

“They are a little bit stunned by running a big urban center like Kabul,” a city of up to 5 million at its peak, the diplomat said, speaking on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to comment publicly. “They are really playing from a very weak hand.”

The diplomat said that an unresolved rift between the group’s moderates, like the political chief, Abdul Ghani Baradar, who led the negotiations with the United States, and hard-liners like the Haqqani brothers, the military leaders, was further weakening the ex-insurgents.

The claim that the American drone strike on Sunday caused civilian casualties would be, if confirmed, a bitter parting legacy of the military intervention.

On Monday, a spokesman for the U.S. Central Command reaffirmed an earlier statement that the military hit a valid target, an explosives-laden vehicle it said was driven by operatives of the Afghan affiliate of the Islamic State, known as Islamic State Khorasan or ISIS-K, and which posed an “imminent” threat to the airport. ISIS-K claimed responsibility for a suicide attack that killed more than 170 people, including 13 American service members, at the airport on Thursday.

The spokesman, Capt. Bill Urban, said that the military was investigating the claims of civilian casualties, and suggested that any civilian deaths may have resulted from the detonation of the explosives in the vehicle. The New York Times could not independently verify whether the American missile strike killed the 10 civilians.

The site of the strike Monday was a scene of devastation. Relatives of the aid worker, Zemari Ahmadi, a technical engineer for the charity organization Nutrition and Education International, said that his car was struck just after he arrived home from work. Children who had clambered in to greet him were killed alongside him, while others were fatally wounded inside the house.

One of the dead was Ahmad Naser, 30, a former Afghan army officer and contractor with the U.S. military, who had applied for an American Special Immigrant Visa based on his service as a guard at Camp Lawton. He had come to Kabul from Herat, in western Afghanistan, in the hopes of being evacuated.

Mr. Ahmadi’s daughter Samia, 21, was inside when she was struck by the blast wave. “At first I thought it was the Taliban,” she said. “But the Americans themselves did it.”

The enormous evacuation operation, unfolding after the unexpectedly rapid collapse of the Afghan government, airlifted some 123,000 people out of the country in the last two months, including about 6,000 Americans.

As some of the last American diplomats were preparing to leave Kabul on Monday, five rockets were fired at the airport, a parting shot claimed by the Islamic State. An American missile defense system shot down one of the rockets, and there were no initial reports of casualties.

President Biden, who took responsibility for ending a war that may yet come to define his presidency, had set a Tuesday deadline for completing the withdrawal.

But senior commanders decided to depart unannounced roughly 24 hours earlier, partly because of stormy weather forecast for Tuesday but also to build in a cushion in case of any snags, military officials said, including further attacks by ISIS-K.

In the final hours of the evacuation, American surveillance and attack aircraft locked down the skies over Kabul, circling high overhead until the last transport plane was aloft.

“Job well done,” said Maj. Gen. Chris Donahue, the commanding general of the 82nd Airborne, who was on the last plane out. “Proud of you all.”

A military official said that every American who wanted to leave and could get to the airport was taken out. But a number of Americans, thought to be fewer than 300, remain, either by choice or because they were unable to reach the airport.

But the evacuation did not reach all those Afghans who had assisted the United States over the years, and who now face possible Taliban retribution. An unknown number of those who made it through the tortuous process for special visas granted to American collaborators never even made it to the airport, much less onto an evacuation flight.

“Because I worked with the Americans, I won’t be able to put food on my table, and I won’t be able to live in Afghanistan,” said one special visa holder, Hamayoon, in an interview on Monday from Kabul. “I risked my life for many years, working for the Americans, and now my life is at even greater risk.”

“If I go back to my family house, the Taliban will chase me,” he said. “Our neighbors already told them I worked with the Americans. I am in a miserable situation. The Americans betrayed us.”

Mike, a former interpreter for the U.S. Special Forces who asked to be identified only by his nickname, said everyone in his village knows that he worked for the American military.

“Of course we are disappointed that we’re left behind,” he said. “We have sacrificed a lot. We wake up in the middle of the night and think about what’s going to happen to our life and to our children.”

Students at the American University of Afghanistan, one of the largest American civilian projects in the country and the target of a deadly Taliban attack in 2016, were also left behind. Some 600 hundred students and relatives had boarded buses to the airport but in the end were not cleared to enter the airport gates.

Mr. Blinken said the United States had “worked intensely” to evacuate Afghans who worked with the Americans and were at risk of reprisal.

“We’ve gotten many out but many are still there,” he said. “We will keep working to help them. Our commitment to them has no deadline.”

He also said that the Taliban had pledged to let anyone with proper documents “freely depart Afghanistan.”

Conditions are bound to get much worse soon, both in Kabul and across the country, U.N. officials warned. Food stocks will likely run out at the end of September, said Ramiz Alakbarov, the United Nations humanitarian coordinator for Afghanistan.

The Taliban have promised amnesty to those who opposed them, but it is a promise they may not have the power to keep.

“The Taliban are going out of their way to emphasize the amnesty message,” the veteran diplomat said. “But they may not have full command and control.”

In Kabul, “we may be on the brink of an urban humanitarian catastrophe,” the diplomat said. “Prices are up. There are no salaries. At some point millions of people will reach desperation.”

Do not be deceived as Joe Biden and his handlers knew exactly what they were doing when he left our very own behind and placed them in the hands of our enemies. #LockThemAllUp #Treason
