Israel versus Sweden

It’s no secret pathogen transmission is more efficient when hosts are in dense groupings.

Ever locked down: Sweden no, Israel yes
Vaccination rate: Sweden 42%, Israel 62%
Population: Sweden 10.2 mil, Israel 9.1 mil
Ever did mask mandate: Sweden no, Israel yes
Deaths with Covid last 6 weeks: Sweden 15, Israel 71
Deaths with Covid per 100k: Sweden 143.8, Israel 67.9

Luke Rudkowski on Twitter: “Israel vs Sweden Oscar De La Hoya vs Joe Rogan What’s the lesson here? https://t.co/j1B9I2FYI2” / Twitter

It is about control… they got the world and this country to dance like a monkey and they will continue to have the monkey dance…
The idea that 71 deaths in 6 weeks in a 9+ million population is starting discussions of mass lockdowns, masking, travel bans, etc is pure insanity. Sweden does promote supplementing with Vitamin D, which is something our government needs to do and still needs to do and emphasize. Most hospitalizations with severe complications have been people with low vitamin D and low glutathione levels.

If Biden really cared about Black Lives he would give them free Vit D and also to Latinos for over 50 international studies have revealed people with low Vit D ( blacks and dark skin people can’t produce Vit D) have poorer outcomes when infected with Covid-19.

The problem is in the U.S. people are just really bad at analyzing numbers. I can use the same data as a left winger and conclude the exact opposite. 600k and maybe a 10% increase in deaths YoY isn’t enough to justify anything we’ve done for the past 1.5 years. Especially when you factor in most of those deaths are pulled forward from future years because it’s all old and unhealthy people. Our public unfortunately rewards action and there was too much institutional power pushing fear and policies to prevent any of it.

Pretty sure population density isn’t the same in Sweden as it is in Israel, where they are living on top of each other (my assumption.)

Sweden has an overall higher per capita COVID death rate. Like 2x as high. (~1400 deaths per 1 million versus ~700 deaths per 1 million). The last 6 weeks might be a trend in the right direction for Sweden, or it might be cherry picking.

Fictitious numbers in = fictitious numbers out

How do you guys actually think these numbers were collected?

Here are some links to some random number generator, just as helpful.

You’ve been wearing your mask in your house havent you?The graphic tells where it’s from. I invite you to do your own research. There have been 400k total deaths in India, which means 99.97% have survived and acquired natural immunity (much more powerful than that afforded by the vax) How can you watch India statistics where is no modern hospitals or ways for people to reach the hospitals, those numbers are likely crap, for god sake they drink water from Gange river but u probably don’t know. Whatever skew you think is going on in the data, they were reporting the same death rate in May, but now Israel has spiked up while India continues a steady decline. What’s your hypothesis to explain that?

Yeah, they achieved natural herd immunity, and they are now in great shape because of it … And most of India’s cases/deaths are from one small rogue state following WHO protocols. Others are more like Delhi (pop 30m) following the Joe Rogan one…True, although any herd immunity didn’t really help Kerala state, India after the May surge horror, being the only Indian state now not using the IVR med kit protocol, but instead followed the west WHO protocols. Your information is both out of date and misleading. First of all India is one of the youngest countries in the world so using the full 1.4 billion in the denominator is not comparable to Western countries.

The proper way to look at vaccination based immunity is to look at % of the adult population with at least one dose. 540M Indians have received at least one dose and that

is 62% of all adults and 39% of the whole country.  Face with tears of joyFace with tears of joyFace with tears of joy

If you believe anything any government tells you about this scamdemic, you will believe anything .  But I dont know how to read, use logic, or think for myself so I rely on what the eXpErTs sAy Clown face.  Vaxx-people don’t get that if so many people in India already have Delta, maybe they are protected with their immune system from Delta.

What if natural immunity works…Face screaming in fearFace screaming in fear

Arguing over numbers is a futile exercise. Even if the numbers are 100% accurate, there isn’t a single data point that justifies our new technocratic, command and control society.

Saying Sweden’s death rate is 2x as high. You’re talking about 8k total deaths difference and one society is free and the other is not

Israel has been leading the world in vaccines. They started sooner and have the highest number of their population vaccinated. Physicians in India did not abandon their patients if they got Covid. They treat their patients EARLY. Because they used Ivermectin….just like in Peru….look at their data. The death numbers got down after India allowed ivermectin medicine. Joe Rogan is big in India

Israel’s Back in Lockdown While Swedish COVID Deaths Are Plummeting. Here’s Why
Swedish Health Minister Lena Hallengren tells Haaretz why her country never imposed a full lockdown, and why public trust in the government is a vital component of fighting the coronavirus STOCKHOLM – Back in April, many worldwide thought the Swedes had lost their minds. As country after country shuttered its schools, shopping malls and restaurants due to the coronavirus pandemic, Sweden decided to take another approach. Haaretz.com – Zoom with Haaretz: How Israel’s COVID failure led to a second national lockdown | Facebook

Despite the Scandinavian country’s death toll reaching a peak of about 100 a day by mid-April, many Swedes were still going about their daily lives, face masks were not recommended and rarely used, young children were still going to school, and no “coronavirus hotels” were set up for infected but asymptomatic individuals.
And though many businesses took a hit – because Sweden relies heavily on its export trade – most remained open and gradually started to rebound. It’s not as if Sweden did nothing at all to combat the virus. High schools and universities switched to online learning, most cultural, entertainment and sports venues closed, and the general population was asked to maintain hygiene and social distance, avoid traveling wherever possible, and to stay home when symptoms appeared.

But there was clearly a major difference between the Swedish way and that of the rest of the world. Besides legal restrictions prohibiting gatherings of over 50 people or visitors at hospitals and retirement homes, most were recommendations rather than legal decrees. Fines, police enforcement, mobile phone tracking and curfews were deemed unnecessary.

Despite this, most Swedes observed social distancing and the infection rate finally began to drop. Last week, Sweden carried out over 140,000 tests, with 1.2 percent coming back positive. The country currently has one of the lowest infection rates in Europe.
The shocking deception of Israeli scientists pushing the COVID-19 Swedish model‘Stupid, scandalous, all because of Bibi’: In quiet Tel Aviv suburb, rage over Israel’s second lockdownSweden is the key coronavirus test case in preparing for a second waveWhile the curves are clearly flattening, the government isn’t wasting time. After a traumatic spring, it’s doing its best to learn from its initial mistakes by improving testing capabilities and boosting the economy.
It’s a stark contrast to Israel, which has just become the first country to enter lockdown for a second time. Yet Sweden’s health minister, Lena Hallengren, told Haaretz that it’s not just about having or not having a lockdown.
“It’s true we didn’t have lockdowns [in Sweden], but we did have lots of changes in society – and the most crucial thing is having long-term measures,” she said. “Without a lockdown, restaurants, bars, trains and buses have to be adapted with regulations – legally binding or recommendations. You have to always maintain distance, have signs, information, sanitizing, washing hands: all that has to be in place. We can see that you can’t lock down the virus forever, and you always have to consider the price that society pays.”

Falling mortality rates
Different countries’ success rates in handling the coronavirus has become something of a “sport” in the past six months, a table reflecting the global “winners” and “losers.” Given its outlier approach, Sweden has come under particularly close scrutiny: initially, it drew harsh criticism and was used as a cautionary tale; now, it’s presented as offering a slightly more sustainable model than repeatedly going into lockdown. But Hallengren is careful not to make any comparisons.661.2K
The Federal Reserve will start dialing back its ultra-low-interest rate policies this year as long as hiring continues to improve, Chair Jerome Powell said Friday, signaling the beginning of the end of the Fed’s extraordinary response to the pan
“We’ve said since the beginning of the pandemic that this is not a sprint, it’s a marathon,” she said. “It’s not a competition and there’s no point saying who the winner is. It’s far too early and too dangerous to compare week-by-week mortality rates. Different countries were hit differently; they have different structures and relations with their authorities, they test in different ways and have different kinds of data and information. In the long run, we all need well-functioning societies. We should learn what there is to learn from others, point less fingers and try to keep up with long-term recommendations,” she added.
So far, some 5,800 people in Sweden have died due to COVID-19, mainly as a result of the virus spreading in Sweden’s nursing and care homes in the spring.
“In the worst week of April, we had 845 new cases of infection in elderly care facilities. Last week we had 17,” Hallengren reported. “Our mortality rates have also fallen radically. We don’t have excess mortality and in August, the rates were below normal [yearly] figures.”
Hallengren also tried to look beyond the headline figure concerning COVID-19 deaths. “One [southern] region in Sweden, Östergötland, recently conducted a study investigating all cases of elderly patients who died infected from the coronavirus,” she said. “In only 15 percent of the cases was it concluded that COVID-19 was the direct cause of death. In 15 percent [of cases], the real reason was another illness or medical condition, and in 70 percent of cases COVID-19 contributed to death due to underlying conditions or the health status of the patient.”

The health minister said her government is analyzing why the coronavirus hit Sweden so badly, especially in comparison to its Nordic neighbors, and is taking long-term measures to tackle possible new local outbreaks.
Scenarios are being prepared by government authorities and financial resources allocated to address unemployment and support the health care system, as well as those in elderly and mental health care. “The outbreak of COVID-19 is not, and has never been, a narrow health issue for the infected people,” Hallengren said. “It’s a broad issue affecting all parts of society.”
When quizzed on Sweden’s “no lockdown” policy, Hallengren said that although a total lockdown was never imposed, remote work, online studying in high schools and universities, and restrictions on entertainment venues affected the country’s citizens.

“It was certainly not ‘business as usual’ in Sweden,” she said, rebutting a common claim, “but we needed to have a functioning society. That’s why we made an active decision not to close preschools and elementary schools. If you close schools, how do you enable people to work at the care homes, hospitals, and police and emergency forces? How do you keep the pharmacies, commuter trains and food stores running and open?
“We decided to lean on experts and the available knowledge at the time,” she explained. “We knew children were not severely affected and not the ones spreading the virus. This was proven by looking at the number of people on sick leave. Teachers working at preschools and schools were not sicker than other groups in society.
“We need to fight the virus, we need to protect vulnerable groups,” she continued. “But we need to make sure that the measures can be kept for a long time in a functioning society.
“Swedish people have high confidence in government authorities,” she added, “so with transparency and a lot of quantifying information, we created a strategy based on taking the right measures at the right time and in the right part of Sweden.”

A woman sunbathing by herself on Tel Aviv beach, September 19, 2020.

How do you respond to allegations that Sweden sacrificed its older population for the sake of the economy?
“That criticism is unfair and untrue. Of course we never sacrificed anyone. We tried our very best, as I suppose other countries did, to protect lives, to stop the virus spreading in society and to protect the vulnerable groups.
“The care homes have been an extremely difficult and sad part, but they are very specific – people living there are extremely old, fragile and sick. We created a government commission to find out what happened, who did what and what we can learn from this.
“In Sweden, care homes are not just facilities for older people; they provide health care. We have 1,700 such homes and about 85,000 people live in them. Fifty percent of them live in these homes for only six months – that’s how old, fragile and multi-diseased their situation is. If you get COVID-19 or even the flu into these homes, it’s a matter of life and death.”
Retirement homes were generally perceived to be the weakest link in Sweden’s coronavirus strategy. But there’s another part of it that others could benefit from: decision-making based on expertise rather than politics.
“We [political decision-makers] are thinking people and we’re responsible for the decisions we make,” Hallengren said, “but our authorities wouldn’t be independent if we’d sometimes decide to follow the experts on disease prevention and disease control, and sometimes not to do so. You don’t have experts and expert agencies just to have them. You have them to listen to them, and take what they know into consideration,” she concluded.

Coronavirus Around The World: Brazil, Israel, SwedenMICHEL MARTIN, HOST:
We’re going to turn now to check in on three countries where leaders had, at some point, claimed to have the right strategy to contain the coronavirus only to see the pandemic take a larger toll than they had anticipated. For that, we are joined now by NPR’s Daniel Estrin in Israel, NPR’s South America correspondent Philip Reeves, who covers Brazil, and reporter Maddy Savage in Sweden.
So, Maddy, I’m going to start with you. Early on, Sweden took an approach to this pandemic that was just different from that of most similarly situated countries – so social distancing, yes, but no shutdown of the economy, hoping that as part of the process, the country would achieve some sort of herd immunity. How did that turn out?
MADDY SAVAGE, BYLINE: Yeah. There’s no getting away from the fact that Sweden ended up with a death rate several times higher than its Nordic neighbors – looking at the latest figures from John Hopkins University (ph), 54 deaths per 100,000 people. That’s ahead of the U.S., where it’s 40 deaths per 100,000 people. But if you compare it to other European countries like the U.K., Italy, Spain or Belgium, who all had strict lockdowns, their figures are worst.
I think where Sweden really failed was in its strategy to protect the elderly, the most vulnerable. Fifty percent of deaths have taken place in care homes. And in terms of the herd immunity, it wasn’t the overall goal, but it was something that scientists predicted would happen. And we aren’t seeing very high levels of antibodies in the population here. And we’re also seeing more science and research suggesting that it’s unclear what will happen in the future with those who do have antibodies.
MARTIN: So are Swedish leaders acknowledging that they didn’t get their strategy quite right?
SAVAGE: Swedish leaders have admitted that things went wrong in terms of the death toll, specifically in elderly care homes. But I think what’s important to point out here is that it’s the public authorities, the scientists employed by the state – they’ve really been the front – the forefront of this crisis. And there wasn’t a huge amount of political debate at the beginning.
But as the death toll has turned out to be a lot higher than predicted, as debates have continued globally about why Sweden’s been doing things differently, there started to be a lot more concern and criticism. And the Swedish government has launched a coronavirus commission to look into how things were dealt with at a local, regional and national level.
MARTIN: So, meanwhile in Brazil, President Jair Bolsonaro has been downplaying the threat from COVID-19 from the beginning. And yet, the virus has hit the country very hard. And this week, Bolsonaro himself tested positive. So, Philip, what’s been the reaction to that development?
PHILIP REEVES, BYLINE: Well, it wasn’t really a surprise. As you mentioned, I mean, he’s made a point of flamboyantly ignoring social distancing. Not only that – actually subverting it. Even when he went live on TV this week to confirm that he’d tested positive, he took his mask off. His opponents see the fact that he’s now infected as proof that he’s reckless and irresponsible, a danger to people’s lives and entirely incapable of handling this crisis. But there’s also some speculation that Bolsonaro might try to turn this to his advantage.
If it turns out that he only has light symptoms and he emerges relatively unscathed, he could use himself as an example that, you know, what he’s been saying all along is true – that regardless of the fact that COVID-19 has killed more than 70,000 Brazilians so far, that this virus really isn’t all that serious and that most people will be fine, especially if they’re like him, fit and healthy, and especially if they take hydroxychloroquine, a drug that he ardently believes in, even though most medical experts, not to mention the World Health Organization, do not.
MARTIN: And what about the economy in Brazil? Brazil has one of the largest economies in Latin America. How has the pandemic affected that?
REEVES: Well, Michel, the country’s facing the deepest recession since records began. The Brazilian government’s pouring in billions to avert collapse. A chunk of that’s going on emergency payments to support low-paid informal workers. There are some 50 – 40 million of these. They have – many of them haven’t been earning a dime in the last few months.
And meanwhile, you know, foreign capital is pouring out of the country, and foreign investment pouring out of the country in vast sums. It’ll take years, Michel, to recover from this, and a lot of people are going to suffer in the process.
MARTIN: So let’s go to the Middle East now, where earlier this week, Israel’s top public health official resigned, claiming leaders ignored her warnings and reopened the country too quickly, driving a new surge of COVID-19 cases.
So, Daniel, could you pick it up from there? What’s the latest?
DANIEL ESTRIN, BYLINE: Well, Israel has one of the world’s fastest infection rates at the moment. In just one month, Israel went from around a hundred cases a day to a thousand cases a day. It’s really a remarkable reversal because at the start of the pandemic, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was praised. He imposed lockdowns. He flattened the curve. He shut down Israel’s borders very quickly. And his performance, his handling of the pandemic, helped him secure a new term in office.
The problem was that he opened Israel too quickly. He allowed big wedding parties, and that drove up infections this summer. And now Israelis are looking towards Europe, and they’re seeing Europeans starting to open up, starting to travel within the EU. And they’re jealous because the EU doesn’t want Israeli tourists now. And unemployment is at 20%, so Israelis are really not happy.
MARTIN: And, Daniel, you also cover the Palestinian territories. What about the situation there? Does it mirror that in Israel?
ESTRIN: It does. Palestinians also relaxed their lockdowns in the West Bank, and then cases shot up. And officials there say that about 80% of the new cases came from weddings and funerals.
The first wave of cases this winter was, in large part due, to Palestinian day laborers working in Israel and catching the virus in Israel. This current wave is inside the West Bank itself, and these infections coming from weddings, mostly from this one area, Hebron, where there have been these enormous weddings with, like, 3- or 4,000 guests at each wedding, which is the tradition there. And now wedding parties are banned in the West Bank and also in Israel.
MARTIN: So let’s go back to Sweden now. Maddy, you were telling us that the response in Sweden really was led by health authorities. It had not been politicized to this point. Now, as I understand it, the health minister is warning about a second surge of COVID cases. Are the authorities there considering changing tack and perhaps taking the measures that other countries took, like locking the country down?
SAVAGE: I think from all the press conferences I’ve watched and debates that have been had here, I think it’s very unlikely that Sweden will go into a strict lockdown because the whole point of its measures, its strategy, was to change social behaviors to last in the long term. It wanted to avoid the effects of going in and out of lockdown.
But I think a lot will depend on how Swedes behave in the coming months. It’s summertime here, as in North America. Travel restrictions have recently been lifted so that people can go everywhere. They’ve been told not to mingle, not to make new friends while they’re on holiday.
But some of those concerns from the health minister have come from the fact that it’s been reported not all people are doing that, especially in hot spots for holiday-makers, especially amongst young people. So I think whether there is a second wave will partly depend on that.
MARTIN: Phil, let’s go back to Brazil. How – is there any sign that the Bolsonaro government is changing course in response to this ongoing crisis? There is no sign that any measures they’ve taken have abated this crisis at all. Are there any signs of changing course in any way?
REEVES: It’s difficult to answer that question because there’s been no coordinated national response to this pandemic. You know, since the pandemic began, Bolsonaro’s lost two health ministers. They disagreed with his approach. Now he’s got an army general standing in in that job. He has stuck to his line, which is that the cure – locking down the economy – does more damage than the illness itself.
But the line taken by Brazil’s governors and mayors is different, and they are the ones who matter in many ways because they’re the ones legally empowered to enforce quarantines. At the beginning, they closed towns and cities and urged everyone who was able to to stay home. Now they’re opening up again, and they’re doing that even though the virus in roughly a third of Brazil’s states is getting worse.
MARTIN: And finally, Daniel, are the Israeli and Palestinian officials taking any steps to try to keep this new surge in cases from continuing to grow?
ESTRIN: Yes. Palestinian officials have imposed a total lockdown again. So they’ve closed businesses, and the economy is really hurting in the West Bank. Palestinian officials also can’t really provide a good stimulus program to help people. And in Israel, there are local lockdowns of areas with outbreaks. I was just driving by a whole neighborhood in Jerusalem that’s closed off with police tape. And all gyms and bars are closed, events are called off.
But there’s another problem that Prime Minister Netanyahu’s dealing with, which is that a recent poll shows that Israelis are losing trust in his ability to handle the pandemic and to help the economy because for the last month, while cases were rising, he was doing something very different. He was talking with the White House about annexing parts of the occupied West Bank this month.
And that didn’t happen. And Israelis didn’t really care about that issue much anyway because 20% of them are unemployed. And this evening, unemployed Israelis are staging a big demonstration right here in Tel Aviv, where I am. And Netanyahu hurried to promise them a new stimulus program. He met with protest organizers. But they’re going on with this demonstration. And so Netanyahu now is focused on trying to block a protest movement against him.
MARTIN: That was NPR’s Daniel Estrin in Tel Aviv, NPR’s South America correspondent Philip Reeves and reporter Maddy Savage in Stockholm.
Thank you all so much for talking to us today.
ESTRIN: Thanks, Michel.
REEVES: You’re welcome.
SAVAGE: Cheers. Bye-bye.

 777 Biblical Meaning【 2021 】God Number Symbolism Explained

The meaning of multiple number sevens such as 777 in the bible and 7777 is derived from it being a reinforcement of perfection and God’s unmistakable hand in the affairs of man. For Christians number 777 is actually a representation for all good things in this world. Actually, number 777 represents the last day of the Creation and it is related to Jesus as well. The number 777 is the Biblical reference for the last day of creation. It is also a reference to the genealogy of Jesus, the Son of God. The number seven is thought to be God’s number. It represents both completion and perfection.

In fact, number 777 represents seven days of creation.
According to the Book of Genesis,  it is said that God rested on the 7th day of creation.

How This Article Came About:
In late February 2017, my sister told me about how Donald Trump was 70 years, 7 months and 7 days old on his first full day in office. I found that quite intriguing, but didn’t look any further. Six months later on August 20, 2017, while lying in bed, it suddenly struck me that the “Great American Eclipse” of August 21, would occur exactly 7 months on from this date!
I then discovered a whole lot more ‘coincidences’ relating to Donald Trump and the number 7 which other people had discovered. While out walking on August 29, a week after the eclipse, I was inspired to write this article. In early January 2018 when I was adding the “Important Dates in Israel’s Modern History” section above, I noticed that the day that God had inspired me to write this article, was the same day as the opening of the first Zionist Congress in 1897! In fact, it was exactly 120 years to the day! I don’t believe that that was a coincidence. That Congress led to the creation of the State of Israel 50 years later.
Is there any significance to the 120 year number? The bible makes several references to the number 120, most notably in Genesis 6:3 and Deuteronomy 34:7Genesis 6:3 is interpreted by some to mean that God gave mankind an additional 120 years before the divinely appointed judgement of Noah’s flood. The latter reference refers to the age of Moses when he died at 120 years old. Moses was one of the greatest prophets in Judaism, and is revered by Christians, Jews and Muslims alike. There are a number of other references to the number 120 which can be found here.
It is also interesting to note that the destruction of Jerusalem and the second temple occurred on August 30, 70 A.D., coinciding with the second day of the first Zionist Congress in 1897, 1827 years later! Whether that was done on purpose or not I am unsure, but it would certainly be a symbolic and significant date on which to hold the event.

Conclusion:
Having watched President Trump’s rise and fall from power from the beginning of his election campaign in 2015, through to his loss at the 2020 election, one thing is clear: God is in control! It doesn’t matter whether you voted for Donald Trump or not, or whether you like him, but it is clear from the numbers, that God intended him to be president. It wasn’t a mistake, as some might like to think! He was there for a purpose and a role, both domestic and foreign, to achieve God’s purposes!
Some of his achievements included recognizing Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel, moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, recognizing the Golan Heights as Israeli territory, and brokering peace agreements in the Middle East between Israel and Arab countries. You may not agree with all these moves, but God installed President Trump to power for a reason, and those are just some of them.

It appears from the preciseness of the numbers that accompanied Donald Trump’s presidency, that these were there for one reason: to prove that God was the power behind Donald Trump’s presidency, and to show that He was in control! God was always in control, and had a purpose and a reason for installing Donald Trump to power. God had a plan, and it was accomplished according to His will, even when things went a little awry.
It remains to be seen what happens in America post-Donald Trump, and what sort of long-lasting legacy he had on both domestic and international politics. No doubt America is divided, and it would appear to be more of a spiritual/cultural war that is leading to the division. Those on the left of politics, vs. those on the right. As Jesus said, ‘a house divided against itself shall not stand’ – Matthew 12:25. The further the liberal left shifts away from the centre, the more divided a country shall become. The shift away from Christian values is what is causing the problems in many Western societies, and the further they go down this path, the worse they will become. This is happening all over the world. Whether a society remains harmonious or not, depends on the willingness of its people to fight for their values, or whether they just roll over and accept changes. Some cultures fight for their values, others do not. Nevertheless, you cannot impose your will or values on other people, if they don’t accept them.

As Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight…” – John 18:36. You have to live and let live, and yet be the “salt of the earth” – Matthew 5:13. American power, culture and influence is on the decline, and this appears to be going hand-in-hand with it’s spiritual and moral decline as well. Many Western nations are already on this path, not just America.
Though you may not have liked Donald Trump’s personality, his politics represented a temporary pause on left-wing values. This is no doubt why many Christians voted for him, and part of the reason God put him into power. What many people see as “progressivism”, is in actual fact, “regressivism”, in other people’s eyes. It just depends on your viewpoint, and that appears to be what is at the root-cause of the division, and ever-growing divide. And it only appears set to get worse. This seems inevitable.

Now, with a new president set to take power, it appears that God is continuing to use numbers to prove that He is in control, and was the power behind Joe Biden’s presidential win. (For the full update on Joe Biden’s election victory, click here: Joe Biden wins November 2020 election).
Thus, regardless who is elected or what happens in life, know one thing: God is in control, and won’t allow anything to happen that He doesn’t want to happen, because He has total control over world events. You may not like what happens or who is elected, but it is all a part of God’s plan, and it will ultimately lead to the Second Coming of Christ, as prophesied in the Holy Scriptures.

God Bless.
Steve Moxham

Inside Wuhan Lab

Inside the Wuhan lab: French engineering, deadly viruses and a big mystery.

By Eva Dou, Pei Lin Wu, Quentin Aries, Rebecca Tan.

Coronavirus Latest | Covid-19 Science Documentary 2020

One chilly morning in February 2017, a tall Chinese scientist in his 50s named Yuan Zhiming showed Bernard Cazeneuve, then the French prime minister, around Wuhan’s new high-security pathogen lab. Built with French engineering, it was China’s first P4 lab, one of several dozen in the world with that highest security designation. Yuan, the director of the lab, had worked more than a decade to make it a reality.

Yuan and his colleagues at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) hoped they could help prevent another catastrophe like the SARS outbreak in 2003, which embarrassed Beijing and resulted in the dismissal of the health minister.

But just a couple of years after the P4 lab’s ribbon-cutting, China was engulfed in a far deadlier outbreak. Yuan’s team hadn’t prevented it. And worse, some suspected they might have been involved in its genesis.

Yuan has vociferously denied that the WIV had any part in the coronavirus pandemic’s origins. “The Wuhan P4 lab has never seen any laboratory leaks or human infections since it began operating in 2018,” Yuan said at a news conference in July.

Amid the scrutiny, the WIV has turned inward. Yuan said at the news conference that his team took a virus database offline because of “the large number of malicious attacks,” and that they are under great pressure from rumors.

Biden receives inconclusive intelligence report on covid origins. U.S. intelligence agencies said in a report last month that the virus was not a biological weapon, and that it’s unclear whether it originated naturally or from a laboratory-associated incident. The report said confirmation is unlikely without China’s cooperation, which Beijing withdrew in July.

For Yuan and his team, it means the cloud of suspicion lingers. After their high hopes, it’s a disappointment.

“Scientific collaboration in virology — it’s gone,” said a foreign researcher who has worked for years with the WIV and who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the hostile political climate. “Now, the Chinese will not welcome foreigners because their view is you’re coming in to dig dirt.”

This account of the WIV’s 65-year history, its coronavirus research and its P4 lab is based on interviews with visiting scientists, lab audit reports, satellite images, archival records and other documentation. The WIV did not respond to requests for comment.

‘Best of the best’

The P4 lab is located off an eight-lane road in Wuhan’s southern industrial outskirts, where factories give way to low mountains and farmland. The lab facilities cover roughly two football fields, on a tract of land 12 times as large, according to a June 2018 environmental safety audit report.

The building’s austere gray lines are softened by trees: From 2005 to 2015, when the lab was under construction, scientists would drive out on Arbor Day to add a few more saplings to the perimeter.

Based on the French P4 lab in Lyon, the building has four floors: waste management at the bottom; experimental labs and animal rooms on the main floor; and on the top two, apparatuses to ensure safe airflow, the report says.

Visitors called it state-of-the-art, in contrast to other, aging WIV buildings, where scientists wore coats indoors in winter because of scant heating.

The lab had “the newest technology, a huge complex,” recalled Boris Klempa, a Slovak Academy of Sciences researcher who visited in 2017.

Not everything there was meant for public eyes. Asked in 2018 what kind of viruses they kept by a reporter for the state-run Guangzhou Daily, the P4 lab’s deputy director, Song Donglin, replied that “disclosure of this kind of information must be controlled.”

[China sets back search for covid origins with rejection of WHO investigation proposal]
Jean-Pierre de Cavel, a French expert who conducted safety training at the WIV in 2010, said the Chinese researchers hoped to use the new lab to study highly infectious diseases like Ebola, Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever, and smallpox.

WIV management has reminded staffers for years about state-secrets requirements and to be wary of foreign spies. “Their expectations were to have a powerful tool, to have a P4, like any other big country,” he said. “They wanted to have the best of the best.”

The new P4 lab was not being used for researching coronaviruses, however, which are classified at lower security levels.

A virus archive

At a scientific conference in Barcelona in 1986, Danish researcher Ole Skovmand met a gangly Chinese scientist in his early 20s. His name was Yuan Zhiming, and he was studying how to kill malaria-carrying mosquitoes with Bacillus sphaericus bacteria.

Skovmand, 73, recalls that Yuan’s research at the time wasn’t cutting-edge. But it impressed Skovmand enough for him to help Yuan secure scholarships in France and Denmark. In Denmark, Yuan moonlighted as a cook in a Chinese restaurant and played ping-pong with Skovmand’s son, Skovmand said.

Yuan was outgoing and garrulous, recalls Christina Nielsen-LeRoux, research director of France’s National Institute for Agricultural Research, who met him in Europe two decades ago. Yuan would later reminisce about his time in Europe, and occasionally gripe about having to relinquish his research to focus on the P4 lab’s construction, Nielsen-LeRoux said.

[Locked down in Beijing, I watched China beat back the coronavirus]
The WIV was beginning to reach its stride then, after tumultuous origins.“He said, ‘I miss that day we spent together. It was one of the best things in my life,’ ” she said.

Founded in 1956 as a branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the WIV’s early work focused on agricultural pests, a serious concern during the famine that began in 1959. During the Cultural Revolution from 1966 to 1976, its research was disrupted, as 229 CAS scientists were killed in the political purges, according to official figures.

After Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping’s official welcoming of scientific research again in 1978, Beijing ordered the WIV to build the nation’s first archive of viruses, with 400 collected over a decade, according to an official history. In 1985, the WIV helped set up China’s first mechanized pesticide factory.

Breakthrough discovery

The WIV set its sights higher in 2003, with the SARS outbreak. Chen Zhu, CAS’s top official for biological sciences and soon to be China’s health minister, asked WIV to build a P4 lab, according to people familiar with the project.

Yuan accompanied Chen to France to persuade French experts to take on the construction. President Hu Jintao flew to Paris in January 2004 to seal the deal.

“Yuan Zhiming really wanted the P4 lab,” said Gabriel Gras, a French biosecurity expert who helped oversee the lab’s construction. “It’s the project of his life.”

While the WIV had Beijing’s support for the P4 lab, it also struggled against bureaucracy. When SARS took hold, the WIV had such trouble getting official research access to the new virus that director Hu Zhihong ended up “stealing” a sample from a morgue, according to a 2006 article in the state-run China Youth Daily.

Around this time, another fateful figure in the WIV’s story emerged. Yuan’s colleague, Shi Zhengli, was beginning to search bat caves for the origin of SARS.

Shi was a year younger than Yuan and also had studied in France, specializing in aquatic viruses. Now she turned to bats, in collaboration with a prominent Singapore-based virologist, Linfa Wang. In 2004, her team collected samples from 408 bats across China.

[U.S. spy agencies rule out possibility the coronavirus was created as a bioweapon]
Seven years into her search, Shi discovered in 2011 a close relative to SARS in a cave in subtropical Yunnan province. Her team’s paper, published in 2013, launched her to national prominence, and she gained the nickname “Bat Woman.”It was tough work. Shi and colleagues crawled on their stomachs through narrow caves, she recounted in a speech in June 2018. They caught bats with nets, releasing most of them after taking samples, and occasionally taking a few bats back to the lab.

In 2014, at age 50, Shi received a $58 million national grant to continue studying coronaviruses in China’s south. Three years later, her team announced that they had found all the genetic pieces of the SARS virus in bats in a Yunnan cave — essentially proving the disease’s origin.

Meanwhile, Yuan’s 13-year endeavor was finally bearing fruit, with the P4 lab greenlighted in 2017 to begin operation. The $42 million lab was not for everyday experiments. Only a handful of the WIV’s 300 scientists had been trained to use it, including Shi, the deputy director.

The lab’s scientists have turned inward as a political storm has erupted over the facility.

‘The situation worries me’

Shi entered the international limelight on Jan. 23, 2020, the same day Chinese authorities sealed off Wuhan to contain a new disease. In a preprint paper, her team announced that they had found a virus 96.2 percent identical to the novel coronavirus.

Shi had originally feared that the virus could have come from her lab, as she told Scientific American. But she has since become adamant that the WIV never crossed paths with the virus, saying that she checked the lab records and that all staffers tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 antibodies.

[Wuhan lab’s classified work complicates search for pandemic’s origins]

Shi’s supporters say that if there had been a lab coverup, it’s unlikely the staff could have kept the secret from leaking out, especially with a full-court press by U.S. intelligence agencies. The U.S. intelligence report delivered to President Biden last month said that the coronavirus was not a bioweapon and that Chinese authorities didn’t know about the virus in advance.

Yuan and Shi have retreated from the world amid the controversy.

The “comprehensive news” section of the WIV’s website once highlighted international collaborations, but has dwindled to politically correct posts about researchers studying the speeches of Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

Nielsen-LeRoux said she last heard from Yuan in March 2020, toward the end of the Wuhan lockdown.

“We had a very hard time in combating the infection in Wuhan,” Yuan wrote to her in an email. “The virus is spreading in your country, and more people have been infected during the last few days, and the situation worries me a lot. I am confident that we could finally curb the spreading of the virus with our joint effort, and our life will return back to normal soon.”

Cosmic Journey

The energy of the endocrine system can be assessed using this information.

Currently repelling negative energy. Never say I told ya so.

It’s not productive. stay with itDizzy symbolDizzy symbolFolded handsGreen heart

Realm information has always piqued my interest, so I was drawn to study Edgar Cayce’s channeled information regarding the endocrine system as it relates to the Afterlife Realms. According to Cayce, each planet in our solar system has an energy that corresponds to one of the endocrine glands. As I began to work with the information, I did what I always do, which is test the accuracy with my clients. I must admit that I was amazed at the way it resonated at deep levels with those who received the realm reading. The same thing happened with the information from Doreen Virtue’s ‘Realms of the Earth Angels’, as far as client resonance and accuracy goes.

Although realm information can be general, when an intuitive reading combines the basic realm information with more specific information from the whispers of the Spirit, the client can feel seen in ways they may not have ever experienced. The Afterlife Realms focuses on energy from a particular planet that has been integrated by the soul, which is different from astrology. The two ways of looking at planetary influences on the soul can definitely overlap. The individual can collect, in their soul template, energy that tends to influence the personality, purpose, behavior, ancestry, life path, identity, persona, and more.

The energy behind the endocrine system can be assessed using this information, in a way that allows discernment of any imbalance in the endocrine gland energy system. Since the endocrine system is responsible for body chemistry, gaining an understanding of the basis for any energetic imbalance can provide a valuable service to the client by unveiling the path toward wellness. If the cause of a body chemistry disruption can be traced to a spiritual aspect, the energy healer can address the issue to help bring the system into balance. If the issue is strictly a physical body imbalance, the client can be encouraged to seek out an expert that can provide the most beneficial service.

For example, if the client has a predestined path around awakening energy coming through the thymus gland, and they have developed an immune system issue, the intuition can help determine the imbalance as it relates to the energy around their life purpose. Awareness around the issue found at the core of the imbalance, may be all that is needed to find resolution with disharmony. Once the energy has been balanced, physical measures have a better chance to bring wellness. When this information is combined with other systems, such as the multidimensional bodies and the aura, a clear picture of an overall systems failure can be illuminated and addressed.

This part of the IEL Institute for the Spiritual Arts represents one of the major learning transitions into the field of integrative medicine. As we begin to link spirit to all energy systems of the body, a depth of understanding brings focus to the mind, body, spirit connection. The advanced healer begins to master their skills through a more concise method of assessing energy with information from the soul. The exploration of the Akashic Records, the Afterlife Realms, the spiritual lineage, and the information held in the soul template, offer a greater opportunity to understand the science of human energy. I can assist the healer in taking on a major role in supporting the awakening experience of their client.

Major shifting occurs when the healer can take their client to thirty-thousand feet for an elevated view of life on a cosmic exploration of the soul. Every intuitive or energetic measure can be combined to provide the greatest impact on the body, mind, and spirit, while helping those seeking enlightenment in the search for ways to create a higher level of consciousness.  Soul Retrieval (part 1) – Bing video

Sirius A and B - Soul Journey Healing

The Power Star Sirius

Sirius is the brightest star in Earth’s night sky. This binary star system has been an integral part of many ancient civilizations including the Egyptians. One of the shafts of the Great Pyramid of Giza points toward Sirius.

Many divisions, disagreements and disharmonies have taken place during our conscious journey through Sirius and its surrounding systems.

As the old matrix of power, control, greed and domination breaks down on Earth, you are in a stronger position to look deeper into your soul’s timeline around the star system Sirius.

This has been one of my strongest reasons for waiting to help you explore Sirius at a deeper level. Engaging with your soul’s timeline around Sirius can help you connect with a stronger flow of cosmic light vibration. Many of you have inquired about Sirius and how to harmonize that timeline and anchor a stronger matrix of global collaboration.

Now you can explore this powerful timeline of your soul’s journey and dissolve old ties that no longer serve you on your path of harmony.

Royal Star Antares

Antares A and B - Soul Journey Healing - Life Harmonized

In addition to Sirius, you will also explore your soul’s journey through the constellation Scorpius where Antares A and B play an important role in your consciousness evolution.  Antares helps you to reach into the deep core parts of your feelings, emotions and events that may have caused severe disharmony.

By working with the energy matrix of Antares B, you can transform and dissolve those old events so that you receive the healing that you need.  Antares A helps you to explore your timeline and rewrite events.  As you explore the Soul Journey Healing program and unwrap timeline disharmony of your soul’s journey, resolve old events and shift and raise your inner vibration, you can attract a stronger flow of love, joy, harmony, abundance and prosperity in all areas of your life.

Pleiades Open Cluster

Pleiades Soul Journey Healing

The Stars in the Pleiades Open Cluster in the constellation of Taurus create the symbol of a question mark “?” in the night sky.  As we look up and see the stars creating a “?”, our inner voice connects with curiosity and possibilities.

As you experience Soul Journey Healing, you will go through harmonizing your soul’s journey through the major stars in the Pleiades Open Cluster, also known as the 7 sisters.  These are Sterope, Merope, Electra, Maia, Taygeta, Celaeno, and Alcyone.  This system and the stars have played a big role for different civilizations by helping humanity to explore stories, teachings, guidance and to be curious about our origin.

During Soul Journey Healing, as you explore the 7 sisters, you will focus on harmonizing your timeline and journey through this system, dissolve patterns that hold you back and experience Pleiadian healing to attract creativity, spiritual Eco-friendly technology and anchor solutions to enhance global systems (education, medical, governments, etc.).

Healing Humanity

As you heal your journey through these major systems, you will also help to heal a big part of humanity’s journey.  Many of these star systems hold information for our consciousness expansion, new technology solutions, creating more collaboration, bringing in new structures and foundations to change global systems such as politics, the economy, education, health and more.

Without resistance, manifestation is easier.  By creating major and deep core inner shifts, you can allow a stronger flow of cosmic alignment for your life and your ultimate vision.  You can operate more from your heart holding the vibration of love, peace and prosperity.  As you interact with others in your daily life, their consciousness will also receive what they are ready to receive.  This process will also help create more global harmony by changing perceptions and resolving disputes that we have all been carrying through these star systems. Now is the time to heal and transform them.

What is the soul and why should you care? Put simply, your soul is what gives you consciousness. And without it, you’d be unable to function. That should certainly be enough to make you care. But there’s so much more. To recognize the many ways your soul makes you who you are, it helps to understand your soul’s cosmic journey.

Your soul influences your beliefs and behavior, and carries with it memories of all your many past lives.

The past-life resonances your soul brought with it into this lifetime are the source of your fears, phobias, and limiting beliefs. They’re also responsible for your talents and abilities, and the personality that makes you the unique individual you are.

Every soul’s cosmic journey begins as part of the universal consciousness that permeates every corner of the cosmos.

Sometime in the last several thousand years, along with thousands of members of its soul family, your soul left that universal consciousness to come here to planet Earth to embark on a voyage like no other.

Thanks to reincarnation, your soul has had the opportunity to spend many lifetimes learning what it means to be human.

Your soul’s prime directive is to evolve. And to do so, it has to come to the Physical Plane many times over in order to grow from each experience. Multiple incarnations of hardship and suffering, as well as love and joy, make you the unique person you are today.

Your soul’s journey has been long and arduous. Yet it has also been rich in experience.

From the earliest lifetimes in which your soul did little more than learn to survive, all the way up to your current incarnation, your soul has travelled the world seeking out increasingly complex lessons.

Life as a midwife or herbalist will have taught you important lessons in the healing arts that show up in the present as a desire to heal and help others. Being a leader in earlier incarnations will have imbued you with an air of authority now. My Empathy is the result of lives spent taking care of the sick and dying through my internet experiences.

If you’re driven to learn, it’s often the result of a deep level of curiosity that stems from life as an academic or as an explorer. If you love to dance, sing, write, paint, sail, bake, or grow plants, the interest is there because you’ve done it in previous lifetimes and have carried those talents and likes with you into this current life.

Your soul’s cosmic journey has taken you from the Stone Age to the Space Age, and to every part of the world.

If you find yourself longing to better understand your purpose in this life, you first need to know who you were. Past life, as I’m fond of saying, explains everything.

COSMIC ENERGY AND OUR EXISTENCE – YouTube

The Psycho-Emotional Roots of Cancer

BY DARREN STARWYNN, OMD, LAC
German New Medicine – Bing

After years of taking histories of my cancer patients I have noticed a marked connection between their core emotional issues, their most imbalanced chakras and the location of the tumors. Cancer usually manifests in the body area near the most imbalanced chakra that is most affected by their core issue.

One of my early spiritual teachers told me about what she called “the law of the spiritual preceding the physical.” This principle states that disease starts in the energy bodies surrounding our physical body, on the consciousness level. If the person practices good spiritual and emotional housekeeping these imbalances can be released or otherwise resolved at that level. He or she can remain healthy. Intense negativity repeatedly generated in the energy bodies can eventually precipitate into the physical body causing various forms of pain and disease symptoms. I believe this to be an accurate picture of the genesis of most cancers.

The idea that emotional trauma was the prime cause of cancer was met with considerable skepticism by the medical establishment in the past. But, that has been changing as research studies have been published in medical journals validating the cancer mind-body connection. In recent decades a new medical specialty called Psychoneuroimmunology has sprung up with its own schools, organizations and journals. Called PNI for short, this field deals with “the study of the interactions between psychological factors, the central nervous system, and immune function as modulated by the neuroendocrine system.” Many PNI studies validate how emotional imbalances lead to the formation of cancerous tumors.

One such article in the European Journal of Cancer linked emotional stress with down-regulation of the immune system. It explored how depression could suppress killer T cell formation in the body, retard repair of damaged DNA and trigger apoptosis (cell death). They concluded that “psychological or behavioural factors may influence the incidence or progression of cancer through psychosocial influences on immune function and other physiological pathways.”

The controversial German doctor Ryke Geerd Hamer discovered what he calls the “shock-conflict” causation of cancer and other major diseases. He proposed that cancer stems from emotional-psychic causes that remain unresolved over long periods of time, and that emotional healing and meditative practices provide the best cancer treatments. According to Dr. Hamer’s observations the body is able to heal itself of most cancers if:

  1. The patient is given therapy and support for de-programming and releasing the harmful effects of the shock-conflict on her body.
  2. The patient’s body is not interfered with by overuse of medical treatment. This rather bold view is based on the belief that many treatments given by oncologists interfere with the body’s self-healing process and aggravate the emotional causes of cancer by promoting fear and disempowerment.

Dr. Hamer has been persecuted for his practices, as you can understand from that last statement. During one trial he went through in Wiener Neustadt, Austria the prosecutor of his case had to admit into evidence that 6,000 out of the 6,500 patients with mostly advanced cancer that Dr. Hamer had been still alive 4 – 5 years after being treated by him. This, a 90 percent success rate, is unheard of in conventional treatment of advanced cancers.

According to Hamer, human beings are very susceptible to the creation of lesions in the brain and organs due to shock and trauma. These types of lesions create something like a short-circuit in the brain that if unresolved can give birth to cancerous tumors. Dr. Hamer has been able to show the precise location and form of these lesions through CT scans of his patient’s brains. In the scans they look like the concentric ripple pattern produced by dropping a pebble into a still pond.

CT scans also showed that concentric circle lesions often also form in a related organ at the same time as they appear in the brain. This is generally the organ that develops cancer. This validates a physical basis for the mind-body connection.

Hamer’s Iron Rules of Cancer state:

  1. Every cancer and related disease starts as a serious, acute-dramatic and isolating conflict-shock experience. It manifests simultaneously on three levels: psyche, brain and organ.
  2. The theme of the psychic conflict determines the location of the focus in the brain, and the location of the cancer in the organ.
  3. The course of the psychic conflict correlates with the development of the focus in the brain, and the course of the cancer in the organ.

Hamer’s observations are very much worth considering because of the large number of advanced cancer patients he has treated and tracked.

Another major part of Hamer’s work concerns the healing phase of cancer. He has observed in thousands of patients that many of the most uncomfortable inflammatory symptoms, and the formation of many of the tumors showing up in scans, are actually part of the healing process. By managing these symptoms and helping patients transform their emotionally-based lesions Hamer and his protégées have achieved their high success rates.

The following chart illustrates the connections between organs and emotional issues. It combines Hamer’s correlations as well as some of my own. As a disclaimer, you must remember that not all patients will follow what is in this chart. While it is a very helpful guide, individual assessment is necessary.

Type of cancerPrimary emotional issues according to HamerPrimary emotional issues

ThyroidDisempowermentLack of full self-expression
LungFear of dying or suffocationUnrelenting grief,

UterineSexual conflictSexual abuse and boundary issues – betrayal
CervixSevere frustrationSame as uterus
BoneLack of self-worth, inferiority complexToo much or too little willpower, ancient conflicts
Melanoma/skinFeeling violated, unclean, loss of integrityOut of touch with natural rhythms of life

After Hamer’s patients went through psychotherapy and resolved the specific inner conflicts that led to the cancer he was able to notice changes on their brain and organ CT scans. The characteristic lesions would disappear and be replaced by edema in those areas. He sees this as a positive sign of healing. Eventually the body’s own healing mechanisms would dispose of the cancer by assimilating, expelling or encapsulating it. As that happened normal tissue would grow back.

Cancer and the Chakras

Do you now accept that pervasive emotional issues are at the root of cancer, and that psychotherapy can be instrumental in resolving it? In my previous article in the April issue of Acupuncture Today I explained the connection between PNE centers (chakras), our emotional nature and cancer. In that article, I also outlined some specific therapies that can support a healing process for cancer patients using energy medical methods applied via affected chakras.

The following chart suggests associations of the PNE centers with the various forms of cancer. The purpose of this chart is to give you examples of these associations and stimulate further inquiry on your part. It is NOT a definitive guide to cancer – chakra relationships. If you are interested in using this information with cancer patients I suggest that you observe their primary emotional issues with an unbiased and open mind. What do you observe? Then compare that to what is in this and the previous chart and notice any correlations. In many cases you will likely notice that your observations line up with what is listed here, in other cases it could be quite different.

In the “Primary emotional issue” column I have put a few keywords from the previous chart for convenience, drawing from both right columns.

Summary

While most patients are aware of their surface emotions they are not as commonly in touch with the deeper causative levels that have helped create the life path culminating in their current issues and diseases. Practitioners who can evaluate and treat the emotional imbalances at the root of cancer can be of great assistance both for remedial treatment and raising the awareness of the patient.

Multi-modal therapy using energy medical modalities such as microcurrent, color light therapy and sound therapies are extremely valuable for establishing a true healing dialogue, both between the practitioner and patient and between the patient and their own inner self. The combination of acupuncture on selected points with color light therapy on the chakras has powerful effects at bringing hidden, blocked energies to the surface and facilitating positive transformation and release.

Let There Be Light

When there was no trace of humans at all on earth, they had been there for a long time. It is good to be in touch with them.

When you are in the middle of nature, try to perceive the presence of all the living nature spirits. Like High & Low Tide: The moon wields considerable power over matter.

That is why it is of essential importance for the realization, for the concretization of the material plane. Note also the moon has its shadow side, let’s always fix the light.   Formula when the moon increases. Just as the moon continues to grow in heaven, so should my whole being filled with strength and wellbeing – or light and love – so that I can become a servant of God.  This formula is pronounced three times with a raised hand. If you do this exercise regularly and with conviction, you will achieve a lot with it.During the period of the waning moon, I propose the following formula: As the moon wanes more and more in the sky, so should this lack or that vice in me also decrease and finally disappear, to the glory of God.    https://youtu.be/bMal5T6027k

Love matters.  The moon has an affinity with water and silver, just as the sun has an affinity with fire and gold. BE LOVE BE GOLDFIRE!!!
Thoughts and feelings are not tied to one place: the thoughts and feelings of people who are kindled by evil are drawn to the hidden side of the moon – the shadow cone of esotericism.

he Times They Are A Changin’ – Sonia Solorzano – TV Commercial – YouTube

How can this etymological origin be explained?

I say that the 1 that is added to the 12 is the start of a new cycle, a new unit. #Loveunit
The number 13 consists of the 12 plus 1; this added 1 does not belong to the whole, but stands there like a foreign element. To understand why the number 13 is considered ominous, one should especially consider the number 12.

A day divided two times 12 hours, a year into 12 months, the zodiac into 12 signs.

The number 12 appears many times in the Holy Bible.

image.png
The 13 Sacred Keys of Life

If you turn your gaze, your thoughts, your love to the sun for years,

You will not enliven the sun yourself – but the other way round:

The sun itself will then fill you with its own life, and that is much better.

But if you try to stick strips of paper on it, in other words, if you have the picture of a saint, a prophet or Christ, and really venerate and dearly love it, then the picture resists all harmful vibrations and you persevere. The attack of bad thoughts and feelings is roughly equivalent to a bomb attack. Be careful, otherwise your “panes of glass” will break soon.

image.png
Believing in God is not enough. You should animate his image within yourself, concentrate more often on it, envelop it with your quintessence and flood it. Only then will this image have a magical effect like a talisman, guiding, protecting, enlightening you.

You can create pictures in yourself and support, nourish, and animate it through your thoughts, your love, your will; This image then gradually affects all of your subtle bodies until it even creates new vibrations in all of your cells. It is written that God created humans in his own image. Humans also create an image of God in himself.

Insofar as he tries to get to him and to create a truthful picture of him, the picture acts as a receiver and condenser of the divine powers. He alone who unites with the highest beings, with the Creator Himself, is able to bring about effective, efficient talismans. Do you have a talisman? A talisman is an object (stone, flower, insect, ring, bracelet, etc.) that has a special power. This power was given to him by nature itself or by a psychologically highly developed person.

The night we met. https://youtu.be/KtlgYxa6BMU

I am living my inner love, and what you feel is your world, but you are so welcome, to feel it for your own, let me teach you how.
Fighting with universal power thought of love for you. You deserve that every day my beautiful sister. Blessings for your Body, mind and soul. Everything we touch should be blessed, the objects, the food, the people. One should address not only people with love and gentleness, but also flowers, birds, trees, animals, because such a habit is of DIVINE ORIGIN.
Real magic is nothing more than the strong living word that comes from God, the word that flows from the original source. When Jesus said to forgive our enemies, He was pointing out something specific, namely that there is only one way and no other way for us to get rid of negative thoughts and corrosive vengeance. If we want to remedy the worst consequences of our words, we should concentrate and implore the servants of the invisible world for help so that this evil does NOT occur. Forgive yourself for you were not aware of higher self. S.H.O. U. T. https://youtu.be/DBuMl-FHAtI

It’s hard, of course, because words and thoughts belong to two different domains. The word is subordinate to the material plane; it is a vibration, a displacement of air; The thought already belongs to the etheric realm.
You should know that there is a power more potent than the word, which is thought; If you get your thinking ability going straight away, you will be able to catch up with certain unfortunate words.

Then said Mohammed: “It is exactly the same with the words: Once they have been spoken, you can no longer catch them up, they have all flown away.” The man walked away disappointed and unhappy. In this case, the “time” factor plays an important role. The spoken words can no longer be retrieved, because they are already overlaid by other earthly or supernatural layers. Mohammed listens to him attentively and replies: “Do the following: Go home now, put a feather in front of every door on your street; then come back to me tomorrow”. The man goes away and does what Mohammed told him to do: he puts a feather in front of every house on his street. youtu.be/gfl_B47PVY0

image.png
The latter are much higher on the path of development, because their magical instrument is their own mouth, not separated from them but always connected to them.

There are two categories of magicians: Those who do magic with a device – mostly a stick – and The others who do it through the power of the word alone. youtu.be/sNYuwmQCn-s Magical words penetrate deep into me – they connect me to my ancestors and my previous lives. Not just my life, but the life of every single woman. My soul and my spirit is mighty – it can occupy everything for the will of the HOLY CREATOR. The really initiated do not use a magic wand, for they have become one themselves. In reality, one can say that humans themselves are the magic wand, a kind of mediator between heaven and earth. For this reason we should always be in contact with heaven in order to have a beneficial effect on earth.

In order to get the electricity to flow, to light all the lamps, to start all of the appliances inside us, the socket has to be used. The only way to achieve this ideal is to connect with Heaven. One should do one’s utmost to ensure that the current may flow through. The electrical center is at the top in the highest area;

Do it ! The purity, the harmony of the upper world, so that the earth would reflect the sky and become a tabernacle for the Godhead. In his prayer “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” Jesus established the connection between above and below, this connection that is symbolized by the magic wand. By this He meant that every human being also had a magical role to play:

There is an electrical center somewhere above that generates the electricity.

If the lamp below is not lit, no light is on;
to do this, the socket must be connected to the mains. image.png

Now the symbol of the magic wand has become clear. If the magician has this socket in his head, in his heart, in his soul, in his spirit, if he also has the magic wand (that is, the socket on the material plane), he is able to use the powers from the divine world to the material world.

image.png
The magician is said to have within himself this little branch that connects earth and sky. The role of the magic wand is to enable a connection between the two worlds so that their energies interact with one another.

One should be clear about the following: The magic wand is not only a stick, it also represents an inner, living connection. Humans have consciously brought about this connection between the upper and lower worlds. To become a magician and summon the spirits, it is not enough – as some imagine it – to hold a stick in your hand. Summoning the spirits is not an easy thing. There are people who have heard talk of the seventy-two planetary geniuses and now presume.

image.png
The magic wand. What is a magic wand anyway?

A simple stick, which is used for a very special purpose: it is supposed to connect the two worlds – the upper and the lower – with one another.

End of the world: Date when Sun will die after engulfing Earth pinpointed by experts | Science | News | Express.co.uk

If we want to transform our existence, to achieve something with the wishes we have put forward, our thoughts, our feelings, our words must be shaped by the substance of our own aura.

Jesus said: “Pray and watch!” Prayer means sending out streams of light through space. If heaven gives you neither assistance nor protection, then that is proof that you have not radiated any light. Heaven does not care what is extinguished. But if he is holed up in his own light fortress, then the situation is completely different. If you have succeeded in building a strong aura, a real fortress of light, then you should not imagine that you will neither be bothered nor attacked in the future. As long as humans remain on earth, he can unfortunately hardly avoid various attacks and disputes.

image.png

So the boundaries of the universe were drawn and set.

God is said to have first projected a circle of light around him when creating the world. According to esoteric doctrine, God is said to have projected images in this light field; These images, condensed and materialized, have become plants, animals and people.

So it is light that the substance of creation has given.

God’s first creature, the first creation, was light. God said: “Let there be light!”

When the light was there, God called all other creatures into life.

Magical Circle is closing. https://youtu.be/pxBRbmrMCnc

The student of an esoteric school should not seek the satisfaction of his base desires. His ideal should mainly be to be surrounded by light, to contribute to the diffusion of the light. Only in this way will he become a real child of God, a benefactor of humanity.
Our goal is neither power nor glory, but only the transformation of the earth, so that God may dwell among us. Our work is characterized by total selflessness. But in order to get to such heights, we have to be able to muster an extraordinary amount of self-conquest and integrity –
it will be evident to everyone.

Very few, and only the greatest of us, have no other aim than to use all of our powers and energies to use the sum of our knowledge to realize the kingdom of God. We are theurgists. The real magic, the divine magic, lies in being able to use everything but really everything, only for the kingdom of God.Beings who put the sublime divine magic into practice: All I need is a miracle and YOU. https://youtu.be/cAMLa5ZC-B4

image.png

It may be that some of them had no bad intentions in the beginning!!!

They were just inexperienced, careless; they underestimated their powers, lost their self-control and let themselves be carried away.  Don’t think that all those who eventually fell into black magic did it with clear and full consciousness. It may well happen; But there are very few people who one day say to themselves: “Now I want to switch to black magic and do everything necessary for it”.

Man is not entitled to use this divine factor, the power of thought, for harmful purposes. Anyone who takes this path should know: the punishment will not fail to appear, sooner or later.
Everything that is given to people for their well-being and salvation is misused, used for their own ruin and also for the ruin of others.

If I switch off my body, my mind can calm down, otherwise I am in a permanent state of information flow.

It is what it is, and I am who I am.Face throwing a kissFace throwing a kissFace throwing a kiss

Some people can not even imagine what it means to do permanent spiritual work, what it is to be permanently occupied with it, what you can contribute to spreading the truth even faster or more precisely in order to finally achieve the long peace of mind for everyone.
Through love.   https://youtu.be/Bx51eegLTY8

It is love that brings spring to bloom in man, but not any kind of love, only spiritual love. So it depends on us to create the conditions for the arrival of spring in our soul.

How can this be done?
Without inspiration, we are like a tree in winter. It is important to know that the inspirations come periodically, like the blooming of a tree in spring, that is, when all the necessary conditions are met.
This immobility is symbolized by the square, the periodic, cyclic movement of the mind through the circle.
So the whole problem is knowing how to combine the square with the circle. It is only up to us whether we understand or not to encourage the return of inspiration. The mind is persistent and faithful, yet it is always in motion. Matter, on the other hand, is immobile, frozen;
Then the season sets in when leaves, flowers and fruits fall off. Only roots, trunk and branches remain. a proof that the material, the physical, is permanent, transformable, while the spiritual, on the other hand, manifests itself only intermittently. https://youtu.be/Ueivjr3f8xg

So the secret is to involve the spirit in everything we do.

The descent of the spirit is comparable to the entry of spring:
People who do not understand how to let the spirit work in them are like withered trees;  All the treasures hidden in the tree come to light.
The leaves are for the stomach, the flowers for the lungs, and the fruits for the head.
Like the roots, the trunk and the branches, the organs of the human being are only a material form which should serve the mind as a starting point for the production of leaves, flowers and fruits.

Two thousand years ago Jesus died on the cross; that is an undisputed fact. Face with tears of joyThinking face But it is incumbent on us to strengthen the body of Christ now so that his spirit can continue to work on earth….the main concern of a Christian should be to move in and only to work on himself so that he too becomes a purified, powerful particle of this collective body.

Something that Christ tried over and over again to instill life in this collective body.

In return, the collective body must also fully commit itself and support the spirit: this is the only way for it to be embodied in it and reveal itself through it.
Instead of always having the body of Jesus nailed to the charm in front of one’s eyes,…With a broken, impulsive, coarse body, the spirit cannot express itself in the form of love, wisdom and beauty. The spirit of the master uses all its strength to embody itself, not only in its own body, but also in that of a spiritual community, so that it can advance on the path

Certain disciples represent the eyes, ears or mouth of this organism, others the heart, stomach, lungs, arms, legs. As long as a master is unable to animate this collective body, he remains small.
In all of these, He cannot be crucified. This is a kind of incarnation that everyone should grasp. In order to be able to affect all of humanity, a master must have a collective body at his disposal. Over the centuries, the Spirit of Christ has gradually spread throughout the world. Today a crucifixion would be unthinkable, because Christ now gives life to a huge body: He is granted protection and protection in the hearts and

minds of millions of people. Thinking faceThinking faceThinking face

The processing of matter that the alchemist carries out in the crucible is actually the spiritual transformation that the student should carry out in his or her own body. The “risen” matter emerges from the crucible as gold: the risen man escapes the cross. This is followed by the process of distillation and conjunction: the matter turns red. Sublimation, the color gold, finally sets in. This procedure should be interpreted as different phases of the inner life. The cross is the alchemist’s torch. In French, by the way, the word “creuset” (crucible) is derived from the word “croix” (cross). Alchemy is a process that works towards the transformation of matter.

FSU Legend Bobby Bowden

Bobby Bowden carried off the field in 2010 following his final game as head coach of FSU.

Locals remember FSU legend Bobby Bowden

Who was Bobby Bowden?

Bobby Bowden, the popular Hall of Fame coach who won 377 games and made Florida State one of the great dynasties of college football with two national championships, has passed away. He was 91 years old.
Bowden is best known for coaching the Florida State Seminoles from 1976 to 2009, and is considered one of the greatest college football coaches of all time for his accomplishments with the Seminoles. Wikipedia
Bobby’s son Terry confirmed to The Associated Press that his father died at his home in Tallahassee, Florida, surrounded by his family early Sunday morning.

“It was truly peaceful,” Terry Bowden said in a text message to the AP.

How old was Bobby Bowden?

He was 91 year old when he died.
Robert Cleckler Bowden Born November 8, 1929, Birmingham, Alabama, overcame rheumatic fever as a child and made it to quarterback Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, then attended Alabama for a semester before moving back to his city. native, Howard University, where he served as quarterback.
He married the girl of his childhood sweetheart, Ann, and they remained together for 72 years.

Cause of Death
Bobby Bowden, the folksy Hall of Fame coach who won more than 350 games and built Florida State into one of college football’s great dynasties, has died. He was 91. Bobby’s son, Terry, confirmed to The Associated Press that his father died early Sunday morning August 8, 2021 at home surrounded. Florida State also announced the news on social media.

The 91-year-old Bowden:

Was hospitalized last October after he tested positive for COVID-19.

The positive test came a few days after returning to his Tallahassee home from a lengthy hospital stay for an infection in his leg. He did not disclose his condition in his statement.
Bobby Bowden announced on July 21 that he had a terminal illness that Terry Bowden later said was pancreatic cancer. Bobby Bowden had been treated for prostate cancer more than a decade ago.

“I’ve always tried to fulfill God’s purpose for my life, on and off the field, and I’m prepared for what’s to come,” Bowden said at the time. “My wife, Ann, and our family have been life’s greatest blessing. I am at peace. ”
Bowden was loved by Seminoles fans, respected by his teammates, and throughout his life he was one of the most accessible stars in college football. His home number had been in the Tallahassee phone book for years.
“Florida State University has lost a legend with the passing of Bobby Bowden,” University President John Thrasher said in a statement. “Coach Bowden built a football dynasty and raised the national profile of Florida State University, and he did it with class and a sense of humor.”
Bowden retired after the 2009 season with a Gator Bowl victory over West Virginia in Florida State’s 28th consecutive postseason appearance, a victory that gave him his 33rd consecutive winning season. However, a month after his resignation, the NCAA stripped the state of Florida of victories in 10 sports due to an academic cheating scandal in 2006 and 2007 involving 61 athletes.

Coach Bowden built a football dynasty and raised the national profile of Florida State University, winning 12 Atlantic Coast Conference championships and National titles in 1993 and 1999. He was selected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2006 and he did it with dignity, class and a sense of humor,” Florida State president John Thrasher said in a statement. “Although his accomplishments on the field are unmatched, his legacy will go far beyond football. Marching Chiefs honor Bobby Bowden, 9/05/2021

Still, only Penn State’s Joe Paterno is credited with winning the most games: Paterno of Penn State Career Record: 46 Years, 409-136-3, .749 Win% (at major schools ) Bowl Record: 37 Games, 24-12-1, .662 Win% (at major schools.)

With Southern charm and wit, Bowden racked up 377 victories during his 40 years as a top college coach, from little Samford, his alma mater, then known as Howard College, to West Virginia and finally Florida State, where he went 315-98-4. The Seminoles were a force during his 34 seasons as coach,
Florida State dominated the ACC with Bowden, winning championships in 12 of its first 14 seasons after joining the league in 1992. “Bobby Bowden has meant everything to Florida State athletics and a lot to college football in general,” said Florida State Athletic Director David Coburn. “He is part of the heart and soul of FSU, but he goes beyond that: he is a huge part of the history of the game.” Bowden won the national championship in 1993 with Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Charlie Ward and again in 1999 with his second Heisman winner, quarterback Chris Weinke, and All-American catcher Peter Warrick.
The Seminoles were a contender to win the title every season for more than a decade. Florida State lost national championship games to Florida, Tennessee and Oklahoma and narrowly missed a title opportunity in several other seasons due to losses to archrival Miami.

Bowden was replaced in 2010 by his offensive coordinator, Jimbo Fisher, who had been Bowden’s pending replacement. “He is one of the great human beings that he has trained and one of the great trainers that he has trained,” Fisher said. Bowden once joked that his tombstone would read, “But he played Miami,” a phrase that came the day after the Hurricanes escaped with a 17-16 victory in 1991, when the Seminoles missed a field goal in the final seconds. . Miami also won similarly in 2002 when a field goal try drifted to the left, much to Bowden’s chagrin.

Bowden was also the patriarch of the most colorful coaching family in college football. His son Tommy Bowden had a 90-49 record at Tulane and Clemson, and his son Terry Bowden had a 47-17-1 record at Auburn. Another son, Jeff, served 13 years as a wide receiver coach for his father at Florida State and six seasons as an offensive coordinator before resigning in 2006.

Jeff Bowden’s time at Florida State was shaky and emblematic of the program’s downfall in the early 2000s. Florida’s state offense had dropped to its lowest production in a quarter-century and Jeff Bowden received $ 537,500 for to resign for the drivers.
Bobby Bowden left West Virginia to take over a Florida state program in 1976 that had produced just four wins in the previous three seasons. The Seminoles finished 5-6 in Bowden’s freshman year and never again experienced a losing season under a man who said he prepared for soccer games like World War II generals prepared for battle.
“You face similar tasks of motivation, preparation, teamwork, discipline,” Bowden said.

“I probably get the most satisfaction from putting the strategies into practice and seeing how they develop.”
By 1979, Bowden had positioned Florida State for one of the great careers in the annals of college football.
Led by All American nose guard Ron Simmons, the Seminoles enjoyed an 11-0 regular season but lost to Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl. In 1993, despite a late slip at Notre Dame, Florida State won its first national title after nearly getting there in 1987, 1988, 1991 and 1992.
Bowden’s only perfect season came in 1999 when the Seminoles became the first team to go from cable to cable in The Associated Press rankings, number one from preseason to finish.
“The first championship was more of a relief,” Bowden said. “I think I was able to enjoy the second a little more.”
Bobby Bowden won two national titles with Florida State. The success also attracted dazzling attention, and Bowden’s show was affected by scandal at times. The school was put on probation by the NCAA for five years after several players in 1993 accepted free shoes and other sporting goods at a local store. The episode prompted former Florida coach Steve Spurrier to call FSU “Free Shoes University.”
Bowden prided himself on adjusting to the times and giving players a second chance, but critics said he was soft on discipline in order to win games.
“If short hair and good manners won soccer games, the Army and Navy would play for the national championship every year,” Bowden replied.
Randy Moss, one of the most talented athletes to attend Florida State, never downplayed the Seminoles and was expelled from school after a red-shirt season for smoking marijuana. In 1999, Warrick was caught in a shopping scam that led to his suspension for two games and likely cost him the Heisman Trophy that year.
The Seminoles won 10 or more games in 18 of Bowden’s 34 seasons at Florida State, but were relatively deadly 74-42 on the field from 2001-09. “There’s only about 6 inches that turn that halo into a rope,” Bowden liked to say on good days, when Florida faithful often called him “Saint Bobby.”

The cheating scandal that led to the loss of a dozen victories from Bowden’s final resume took place in an online music history course from fall 2006 to summer 2007. The NCAA said some athletes received responses to exams and, in some cases, there were papers typed for them.
Despite those difficult days near the end of his career, Bowden remained in the public eye after his retirement, writing a book, giving speeches and publicizing his treatment for prostate cancer in 2007. His fear of retiring from the coach resulted in part to the death of his longtime idol, former Alabama coach Paul “Bear” Bryant, who died within weeks of leaving the field.

image.png
Bobby Bowden poses with the Paul “Bear” Bryant College Coach of the Year Award in Houston in 2011.

“After you retire, there’s just one big event left,” Bowden often said.

Bowden built the Florida State program by programming the toughest opponents he could find, and he would face them anywhere, usually at his stadium. He was dubbed “King of the Road” in 1981 after playing back-to-back road games at Nebraska, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and LSU, and winning three of the five.

His daring move also earned him the Riverboat Gambler nickname in some quarters. Bowden’s most famous trick play came in 1988 at Clemson. He sent his punt team to the field with 1:33 remaining in a tying game with a quarter and 4 and the ball at 21 Florida State. The Florida State punter jumped high into the air and acted like he was chasing a snap as the upback grabbed the ball and slid it between his legs where LeRoy Butler grabbed it and ran 78 yards to Clemson 1 to set up the goal. winning field.
“We were determined that someone was going to win that game,” Bowden said after the “Puntrooskie.”
Throughout Bowden’s career, Florida State won games at many of the nation’s toughest stadiums, including Michigan, Southern California, and of course rivals Florida and Miami. In 1987, the Seminoles crushed Big Ten champion Michigan State 31-3 at East Lansing and defeated Southeast Conference champion Auburn at home ground, 34-6.
Bowden was also considered one of the best managers of great individual talent, recruiting and developing the likes of Simmons, Ward, Weinke, Warrick, Butler, and Deion Sanders, who earned the nickname “Prime Time” during their Seminole days.
Florida State’s recruiting classes were nearly always among the best nationally. In the 1990s, the Seminoles poured star talent into the NFL annually, including four of the top 19 picks in the 2006 draft, the same year Bowden was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
Coach Bowden always tried to serve God’s purpose for my life, on and off the field, and I am prepared for what is to come,” Bowden said in a statement released to news outlets, including The Associated Press. “His wife Ann and their family have been life’s greatest blessing.

His faith and family have always come first, and he is an incredible role model for his players and fans alike. He is beloved by the FSU family.” Bowden retired following the 2009 season with a Gator Bowl win over West Virginia in Florida State’s 28th straight postseason appearance.

Bowden had wanted to coach another season to continue this pursuit of 400 wins, but Florida State officials did not renew his contract. He was replaced by then-offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher.

“Bobby Bowden has meant everything to Florida State athletics and so much to college football in general,” Florida State athletic director David Coburn said in a statement. “He is a part of the heart and soul of FSU, but it goes beyond even that – he is a big part of the history of the game.

“Anyone who has had the opportunity to be around Coach Bowden knows what it is like to know a person who has his priorities in the right order, who loves life and values integrity and honor.” Mississippi State football coach Mike Leach, the architect of some of the most prolific offenses in the history of the game, said Bowden has been an example to every coach.

“He’s one of those guys that made us all want to coach when we were younger, made it exciting,” Leach said. “Coach Bowden threw the ball before most people were inclined to. When I was young, in high school, junior high, I used to watch his teams because they’re a team that was liable to upset teams ahead of them, and that’s when they started throwing the ball around, became more and more explosive.”

Coach Bowden is survived by his wife Ann his; his sons Terry, Tommy, Jeff and Steve; and daughters Robyn Hines and Ginger Madden. Bobby Bowden Legendary Quotes.

The Lungs of The Earth

Depletion of the rainforest is occurring at such a rapid rate.

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders ~

Let me walk upon the waters ♡ God Bless America ☆

Loss of the rainforest is responsible for numerous issues from the loss of wildlife to the destruction of invaluable research among its diverse flora and fauna, but the biggest problem resulting from deforestation is the threat to the atmosphere.

Rain Forest Health is Important to Our Health.

In addition to climate changes & animal extinction:

we are threatening the culture of native peoples that live within the rain forests with continued rain forest destruction. These tribes are becoming exposed to new diseases with the advancement of our tractors and bulldozers into their lands.

Rainforest Depletion: Adverse Effects on the Environment. Introduction The depletion of tropical rainforests by third world countries, as well as by American industry, has been a growing area of concern for many environmental organizations. Animal rights activists are livid at the frightening rate in which species are becoming extinct in these regions. The depletion of tropical species affects much of the biodiversity of rainforests, which is the variety of living things. (Miller & Berry 3) The variety of living things and preserving their environment is very necessary in the survival of life. In these regions, the rainforests are being cut down at an alarming rate, with no thought being given to the rights of the indigenous peoples whose way of life is inseparably connected with the rainforest itself.

Depletion of Forests: 11 Main Reasons for the Depletion of Forests (yourarticlelibrary.com)

This article throws light upon the eleven main reasons for depletion of forests.

The reasons are: 1. Human Settlement 2. Conversion into Arable Land 3. Lumbering 4. Development Projects 5. Jhum Cultivation and Fuel Wood Collection 6. Fragmentation 7. Climatic Change 8. Pollution 9. Drought 10. Nutrient Loss 11. Forest Fires.

Why is it Important to Save the RainForest?

More than half of the world’s animals live in the rainforest. Many of the earth’s insects are found in the tropical forests, as well. Of these inhabitants, a number are endangered animals.

With each passing year, and many hundreds of thousands of acres of the forests are destroyed, more and more habitat is cut away, sending the creatures to the brink of extinction. Some startling statistics are that over an acre of rainforest is destroyed each second. That is truly incomprehensible. Within 40 years, they could be gone. Vanished from this planet. One point in our history, rain forests covered about 14% of the earth.

We need to stop the rain forest destruction!

The rain forest depletion in Brazil, Indonesia and Southeast Asia, in particular, are impacted by logging and clearing work. Some work is done to build roads. Other times, the clearing is for farming or cattle ranching. Homes are being built in the cleared areas. Even gold and silver mining is being conducted, as well. Oil exploration and refinement work is also being done in these areas. Rainforest destruction is happening at an alarming rate, for indefensible reasons.

Removal of the trees destroys the upper canopy of the forest…

….taking away the homes of many birds in the rainforest.

With each desecrated acre of forest land, the earth suffers potential overall climate changes, as forests are key to carbon dioxide intake from the air. Global warming impacts could accelerate with the continued rain forest destruction rate. Rainforest Destruction: We Need to Save the Rain Forest.

The Lungs of The Earth

BY Jacopo Ottaviani

The world’s forests, along with its oceans, absorb enormous amounts of the carbon dioxide that circulates in the atmosphere. They are, effectively, the Earth’s lungs, and protecting those lungs is crucial if we are to defend the planet’s biodiversity and fight global warming.

But, between 1990 and 2015, the world lost 129 million hectares of forests, destroyed by chainsaws, fire and cement. Deforestation is advancing at an alarming pace: about 10 hectares of forest – the equivalent of 14 football fields – disappear every minute, the result mainly of human activities such as agriculture, the extraction of raw materials and urbanisation.
Still, globally, the rate of deforestation has decreased over the past quarter of a century, and, in some regions, such as China and Europe, forests are expanding as reforestation and an increase in tree cultivation takes place.

But, elsewhere, humankind remains a menace to forests. The main rainforest basins in the Amazon, Congo and Southeast Asia lose millions of hectares every year. In 2015 alone, Indonesia lost roughly 2.6 million hectares of forest – the result of one of the most damaging fires in recent times.
“I know the fire will be back next year. I know we don’t have the equipment we need and that we’ll have to fight it with our bare hands. But that doesn’t matter: we’ll fight it. Our spirit is the spirit of the forest.” When he speaks of the forests in which he was born and raised, Basuki Budi Santoso’s eyes fill with tears.

Making use of what little means they have at their disposal, Basuki and his small team from the Friends of the National Parks Foundation work to defend the Tanjung Puting reserve from the flames that periodically affect it. The park, which is located in Central Kalimantan, in the southern part of the island of Borneo, has been at the centre of the fires that struck Indonesia throughout 2015. Burning unabated for weeks, it turned about two million hectares of forest to cinder, mainly on the islands of Sumatra and Kalimantan.
Basuki’s base camp can be reached by navigating the River Kumai. A small dock leads to a path that crosses the forest, where beams of sunlight cut through the humidity and the water in the streams resembles the colour of tea. It takes a few hours of walking to reach the Beguruh reforestation area where Basuki and his men are trying to help the forest come back to life.
Basuki’s men are resting for a moment in the shade of a wooden shed. There are some hammocks, a gas burner for making coffee and an open air shower. A few metres away, pots are lined up. They hold the seedlings of trees. “This is our plant nursery,” explains Basuki. This is where we look after the trees that will repopulate the forest that burned down.”

“The fires come back every year, especially from September onwards, in the dry season. And the fire keeps burning even when it seems to be extinguished, because it’s burning underground, in the peat,” Basuki says. “When the fires come back, we work restlessly to extinguish them. At night, we take turns sleeping a few metres away from the flames; sometimes someone can lose their life, suffocated by the smoke. In times of respite we plant the trees back into the burnt areas instead, and prepare for our next battle.”
Basuki spends most of the year in the jungle of Central Kalimantan, coordinating the interventions against the fires and various reforestation projects. His salary allows him to fly twice a year to see his wife and two children, who live in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.Indonesia in flames.

From September to October 2015:

Indonesia was the scene of one of the most disastrous fires in recent years. Burning unabated for weeks, the flames affected more than 2.6 million hectares of forest, mainly in the islands of Sumatra and Kalimantan. Enormous clouds of smoke made it to Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, toxic gases inhaled by at least 43 million people. The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics called the fires a “crime against humanity of extraordinary proportions”.

The most authoritative theories blame the fires on individuals interested in the acquisition of new lands – including some companies that produce palm oil – and on farmers who use the fire to prepare lands for cultivation. The dry season and the prolonged combustion within the vast peat stretches make extinguishing operations even more complicated.
Almost all fires detected in Indonesia are caused by mankind to prepare the lands for farming.
“Almost all fires detected in Indonesia are caused by man for farming reasons. A fire is the cheapest way to empty out the land for agriculture. Fires can be ignited by individuals who control vast plantations, or small farmers working in their own parcels of land with traditional methods,” explains Peter Holmgren, the director of the Centre for International Forest Research (CIFOR), which is based in Bogor, near Jakarta, and researches tropical forests.
In Indonesia, according to Global Fire Data’s estimates, more than 130,000 fires were detected in 2015 alone, producing almost two billion tonnes of greenhouse gases. That is more than the total produced by Germany or Japan in a year. Forest fires are a global problem.

“According to Nasa and to the Global Fire Database, an average of 4.5 million hectares of rainforest go up in flames every year,” explains Guido van der Werf, an Earth and life sciences researcher at the Free University of Amsterdam. “Almost all fires in tropical areas are caused by mankind.” “The drone’s hardware can be bought with about $2,000, while the software for flying it is free and open source,” explains Keeyen Pang, the director of Conservation Drones’ Asian operations, while his son builds a small drone and inserts its flight mission. “All you need to do is install a micro-camera on the drone to obtain a high definition mapping of the forest.”

“Our drones are a cheap and effective instrument against deforestation and support the conservation of nature,” explains Lian Pin Koh, a professor of Applied Ecology at Adelaide University. Along with the Swiss biologist Serge Wich, Lian Pin Koh is the founder of Conservation Drones, a non-profit organization that brings together an international group of ecology experts and remote controlled aircraft enthusiasts.
An area of the Gunung Leuser national park, in Indonesia, has been cut down illegally, as detected by the Conservation Drones team. A strip of trees and plants has been left along the river to hide the deforested area. Source: Conservation Drones

“We’ve been helping the environmental defense organization drones fly since 2012. It’s important to supply low cost technology, mainly in developing countries, to fly over hard to access areas and control their state of conservation,” the co-founders of Conservation Drones tell us.

“Conservation Drones often get cooperation proposals from organizations from all over the world. Over time, our network of experts in drones for conservation has expanded,” explains Keeyen Pang, as he checks the final configurations and prepares for the test launch.
In Southeast Asia drones allow the mapping of palm oil cultivations, one of the primary causes of deforestation in the region.
Lian Pin Koh and Serge Wich’s drones fly over Tanzania, where they are used to monitor chimpanzee conservation. They fly in Suriname, where a project for monitoring the virgin forests is in progress. In Indonesia, where they are used to observe the endangered orangutan population. And in the rest of Southeast Asia, where drones are useful for the mapping of palm oil cultivations, one of the primary causes of deforestation in the region.
Conservation Drones’ flight missions are already producing tangible results. “In 2014, for example, images taken by our aircrafts have detected an illegally deforested area in a Sumatran natural reserve,” Lian Pin Koh proudly explains. “Our images have been used as proof by the Indonesian authorities, and the perpetrators of this crime have been put on trial.”
In a remote corner of the Sabah rainforest, at the north-eastern end of the island of Borneo, a small team of zoologists is working for the conservation of a little-known animal: The sun bear. The Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, founded in 2008 by Malaysian zoologist Wong Siew Te, is the only reserve in the world where this endangered species is actively preserved.

“Not many people can imagine that these bears live in the tropical forest too, to the extent that we have nicknamed them ‘the forgotten bears’,” says Tee Thye Lim, who is in charge of the bears in the conservation centre who have been removed from captivity.
“Unfortunately, even though they are not well-known worldwide or perhaps because of this, they are endangered. In the past 30 years we have lost about 30 percent of specimens.”

In some Southeast Asian regions, sun bear cubs are captured to be kept as pets, only to be abandoned once they grow larger. They are also victims of illegal commerce, as in Chinese medicine the bears’ gallbladders and paws are believed to have healing powers. In addition to this, deforestation – mainly caused by the cultivation of palm oil – has considerably reduced their natural habitat.
The centre’s experts explain that the extinction of sun bears would cause a chain reaction in the forest’s ecosystem. “Plants and animals live in harmony and the removal of a single species can disrupt the jungle’s balance. The sun bears, for example, are true engineers of the forest,” Tee Thye Lim explains. “When looking for the honey they feed on, they make cavities within the trees where other animals, such as the great hornbill, will then find shelter.” Saving The Sun Bear – Bing video

The IUCN Red List of threatened species (2016)

The sun bear of Borneo is just one of the many currently endangered species on our planet. According to the red list compiled by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), at least 20,000 species of plants and animals are currently at risk of disappearing from this planet. And that doesn’t even present the full picture, as not every species of animal and plant has been examined by biologists.
The destruction of natural habitats, the commercial exploitation of lands, pollution and climate change are some of the main causes of worldwide biodiversity loss

“We are in the heart of a biodiversity crisis.

We are losing about 1,000 species of animals and plants every year,” explains Professor Henrique Pereira, the head of research at the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research at Leipzig University. “Biodiversity is fundamental for the planet’s balance, but also for the health of humankind. Many of the medicines we use come from compounds extracted from animals or plants. Every time a plant or an animal becomes extinct, we lose our chance to discover compounds which can potentially be useful for the invention of a new medication.”
A smart phone, fastened to a tree trunk in the rainforest, powered by solar panels and with an active microphone constantly connected to the internet is the concept behind Rainforest Connection, It is a device created by Topher White, a young engineer and physicist from San Francisco.

“The device created by Topher allows people to listen to the sounds of the forest remotely, using a simple smartphone,” says James Reed as, harnessed within his equipment, he handles an odd plastic box with an antenna. “I’m here to help Topher construct the devices, here in the forests of Borneo. And in the meantime I’m teaching the local communities to climb safely, so that in the future they can install and look after the devices themselves.”
Rainforest Connection’s devices transmit the incoming audio to the cloud, from which a computer programme can examine the inputted sounds. When the software detects an unusual sound, such as the rumble of a chainsaw or the shot of a rifle, an alarm message is sent to the local authorities or to those associations that can take action to stop illegal deforestation or poaching. Source: Rainforest Connection

How does Rainforest Connection work?
“We’re testing Rainforest Connection in all the tropical forests in the world. Our objective is to manage to protect 20 to 30 hectares using Rainforest Connection within the next two years,” explains Topher White, who spends half of his time in his San Francisco lab and the other half in rainforests all over the world.

“It’s fundamental for us to set up partnerships with local communities and organisations working to defend the forests,” explains Topher White. “Initiatives such as James Reed’s Tree Monkey are fundamental for us. James and his team help us to physically install the devices and organise climbing training sessions to teach the local communities to climb the tallest rainforest trees safely.”
According to Topher White’s estimates, a single device can detect the sound of a chainsaw within an area of about three square kilometres. This means that using just a few devices, positioned in strategic areas (for example the forest’s access points), wide stretches of forest can be protected. A simple cell phone connected to the internet can become a guardian of the forest. Topher White came up with the idea for the device in a rainforest.

“In 2011, I was in Kalimantan, in Indonesia. I was walking through the jungle with my local guide when we came across an area which had been cut down illegally. The enraged local guide told me how hard it was to stop these activities despite the presence of forest rangers. So I realised that a simple phone connected to the internet could have been transformed into a sentry, and I spent the past years developing the device’s engineering.”

Rainforest Connection’s devices can potentially also be applied in other settings. The sound transmitted by the cloud can be used by researchers to examine, for example, animal migration or to monitor the rhythm of an ecosystem. Or, more simply, it can be turned into a radio to listen to the forest’s orchestra from your own armchair, at home. “We’ve recently started a web radio that allows anyone, in any part of the world, to listen to live forest sounds. At the moment it’s only available to anyone who decides to make a donation and help us transform even more smartphones into forest guardians.”

“Forests are disappearing on a global level at a rate that is an object of scientific debate. Data provided by the United Nations reveals a reduction of deforestation over the past decades,” explains Peter Holmgren, the director of the Centre for International Forestry Research. “This is good news, but in certain regions of the world such as Indonesia, Brazil and Central Africa we are still losing forests at a worrying rate.”

Medicinal Botany

What Percentage of Medicine Comes from Plants in The Rainforest.

4 Known Medicines With Roots In The Amazon Rainforest (globalcitizen.org)

Although many medicines have been produced from plant extracts, chemists sometimes find that the synthetic versions do not carry the same therapeutic effects or may have negative side effects not found when using the whole plant source. A full 40 percent of the drugs behind the pharmacist’s counter in the Western world are derived from plants that people have used for centuries, including the top 20 best selling prescription drugs in the United States today.

Our earliest human ancestors found plants to heal wounds, cure diseases, and ease troubled minds. People on all continents have long used hundreds, if not thousands, of indigenous plants, for treatment of various ailments dating back to prehistory. Knowledge about the healing properties or poisonous effects of plants, mineral salts, and herbs accumulated from these earliest times to provide health and predates all other medical treatment.

How long have people been using medicinal plants?
Evidence exists that plants were used for medicinal purposes some 60,000 years ago. A burial site of a Neanderthal man was uncovered in 1960. Eight species of plants had been buried with him, some of which are still used for medicinal purposes today.

By 3500 BC, Ancient Egyptians began to associate less magic with the treatment of disease, and by 2700 BC the Chinese had started to use herbs in a more scientific sense. Egyptians recorded their knowledge of illnesses and cures on temple walls and in the Ebers papyrus (1550 BC), which contains over 700 medicinal formulas.

Hippocrates, 460-380 BC, known as the “Father of Medicine,” classified herbs into their essential qualities of hot and cold, moist and dry, and developed a system of diagnosis and prognosis using herbs. The number of effective medicinal plants he discussed was between 300 and 400 species.
Aristotle, the philosopher, also compiled a list of medicinal plants. His best student, Theophrastus discussed herbs as medicines, the kinds and parts of plants used, collection methods, and effects on humans and animals. He started the science of botany with detailed descriptions of medicinal plants growing in the botanical gardens in Athens.

The most significant contribution to the medicinal plant descriptions was made by Dioscorides. While serving as a Roman army physician, he wrote De Materia Medica in about AD 60. This five-volume work is a compilation concerning approximately 500 plants and describes the preparation of about 1000 simple drugs. Written in Greek, it contains good descriptions of plants giving their origins and medical virtues and remained the standard text for 1,500 years.

The earliest Ayurvedic texts on medicine from India date from about 2,500 BC. In Ayurvedic theory, illness is seen in terms of imbalance, with herbs and dietary controls used to restore equilibrium. Abdullah Ben Ahmad Al Bitar (1021–1080 AD) an Arabic botanist and pharmaceutical scientist, wrote the Explanation of Dioscorides Book on Herbs. Later, his book, The Glossary of Drugs and Food Vocabulary, contained the names of 1,400 drugs. The drugs were listed by name in alphabetical order in Arabic, Greek, Persian or Spanish.

Galen, a physician considered the “medical pope” of the Middle Ages, wrote extensively about the body’s four “humors” — the four fluids that were thought to permeate the body and influence its health. Drugs developed by Galen were made from herbs that he collected from all over the world. The studies of botany and medicine became very closely linked during the Middle Ages. Virtually all reading and writing were carried out in monasteries. Monks laboriously copied and compiled the manuscripts.

Following the format of Greek botanical compilations, the monks prepared herbals that described identification and preparation of plants with reported medicinal characteristics. At this time though, healing was as much a matter of prayer as medicine. Early herbalists frequently combined religious incantations with herbal remedies believing that with “God’s help” the patient would be cured.

With time, practitioners began to focus on healing skills and medicines. By the 1530s, Paracelsus (born Philippus Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim, near Zurich in 1493), was changing European attitudes toward health care. Many physicians and apothecaries were dishonest and took advantage of those they should be helping. Paracelsus was a physician and alchemist who believed that medicine should be simple and straightforward. He was greatly inspired by the Doctrine of Signatures, which maintained that the outward appearance of a plant gave an indication of the problems it would cure.

Guts and Grit Personified

McKenzie Milton’s devastating knee injury at USF on Nov. 23rd 2018 looked to be career-ending, if not worse.

It wasn’t, thanks in part to a team of doctors at the Mayo Clinic. [ Times (2018) ]

McKenzie Milton’s story more inspirational than “Rudy” | Commentary Mike Bianchi, Orlando Sentinel

It only seemed appropriate that Florida State was playing Notre Dame on Sunday night because this was an even more inspirational story than “Rudy.”

Even better than Rudy.

Rudy Ruettiger, a short, average kid who wanted to dress for the Notre Dame football team. Rudy’s story is one that is used to demonstrate the power of single-mindedness and determination in the face of all odds.

Rudy grew up in a steel mill town where most people ended up working, but wanted to play football at Notre Dame instead. There were only a couple of problems. His grades were a little low, his athletic skills were poor, and he was only half the size of the other players.

However, he had the drive and the spirit of 5 people and has set his sights upon joining the team.

A group of men playing a game of football:

Florida State Seminoles quarterback McKenzie Milton, who entered in the fourth quarter, sets up to throw a pass against Notre Dame on Sunday night. Unlike the famously enhanced and dramatized version of the movie about former Notre Dame walk-on Rudy Ruettiger, however, the story of FSU transfer quarterback McKenzie Milton is 100 percent true. No, really.

It’s true.
You couldn’t even begin to make this stuff up.

Think about it:
A kid from Hawaii comes to play quarterback half-a-world away at UCF, leads the Knights to an undefeated season, a self-proclaimed national championship and a national-best 24-game winning streak. … Then, after suffering a gruesome knee injury against the team’s biggest rival in the final regular-season game of his junior season, he nearly had his leg amputated.

… Yet spurred on by his intense faith and incredible perseverance, he is able to endure 33 months of countless surgeries and painful rehab sessions to get himself in position to play again. …
But wait, he then chooses to leave the school he loves because his best friend and Hawaiian blood brother Dillon Gabriel had become entrenched as the starting quarterback. He transfers to Florida State and nearly leads the underdog Seminoles to a come-from-behind victory against storied Notre Dame. The fact that Notre Dame won the game 41-38 in overtime Sunday night is mostly irrelevant.

This still goes down as one of the most remarkable comeback stories we’ve ever seen. “God is real,” Milton said afterward. “I’m not tooting my horn, but nobody’s ever come back from an injury like this. This is the answer to prayers; thousands of people praying for me, coaches believing in me. I’m not here without all of the support, all of the prayers ….and the healing hands of God.”

When Milton — known by family, friends and adoring UCF fans as “KZ” — trotted onto the field in the fourth quarter Sunday night after FSU starting quarterback Jordan Travis got knocked out of the game, I’m not going to lie to you; I got misty-eyed. There is a long-standing rule that says members of the media are forbidden from cheering up in the press box, but thankfully there is no rule against tearing-up in the press box.

For those of us who were in Raymond James Stadium in 2018 when KZ went down with that ghastly injury, it was surreal seeing him back to his magical self Sunday night, dropping back and throwing darts as he led FSU down the field on two fourth-quarter scoring drives to tie the score 38-38 with 40 seconds left in regulation.

Said FSU coach Mike Norvell: “As we went into this week, McKenzie kept saying, ‘Coach, I’ll be ready. I’ll be ready.’ You never know when the opportunity is going to present itself and McKenzie was ready. He’s such a competitor. Everybody knows his story and what’s gone into it. He’s somebody you cheer for.” Even Travis, the redshirt freshman who has been battling Milton for the starting quarterback job, was cheering for him loudly and proudly.

“I couldn’t get the smile off my face,” Travis said afterward. “It gave me chills seeing somebody who’s been through so much come back and be able to perform that way.” Milton’s first pass was threaded down the middle 22 yards to Ja’Khi Douglas.

Then on 3rd-and-11, he hit Keyshawn Helton for 15 to set up the touchdown that pulled the ‘Noles within 3. On the next drive, he executed a nifty shovel pass to Darion Williamson for 12 yards to set up the tying field goal.

And all the while he was taking shots from the hard-charging Notre Dame defense and even got sacked and dragged down by the leg that was almost amputated in 2018. Who will ever forget the sick feeling an entire stadium and national television audience had after KZ scrambled right to try to get a first down and USF cornerback Mazzi Wilkins came in low for the tackle. Unfortunately, Wilkins’ helmet slammed directly into Milton’s right knee and destroyed it.

Milton’s leg bent in a way legs are not meant to be bent. His lower leg was contorted and hanging limply from the knee. ESPN did not replay the injury because of its graphic, grisly nature. Players from both teams encircled Milton and prayed together. UCF head trainer Mary Vander Heiden sprinted onto the field and told him not to look at his leg, but he already had.

When it was quickly determined that Milton’s lower leg had just a faint pulse and blood flow to it was minimal at best, he was rushed to Tampa General Hospital, which just so happened to have the only Level 1 Trauma Center in west Florida with specialty surgeons on-site 24 hours a day. If Milton’s traumatic injury had happened in some small college town, he might be wearing a prosthetic leg today.

However, surgeons at Tampa General successfully performed emergency arterial bypass surgery that restored blood flow to his lower leg. When Milton woke up from the surgery, he pulled the sheet back just to make sure his leg had not been amputated. He saw a big metal external fixator attached to his leg but, thank God, his leg was still there.

What ensued were dozens of surgeries and excruciating rehab sessions in which the physical therapist bent and flexed the reconstructed knee, painfully popping and breaking up the excessive scar tissue that has formed around his knee joint.

Still, it was a longshot that he would ever play football again. In fact, when Milton kept badgering his renowned orthopedic surgeon — Bruce Levy of the Mayo Clinic — about his chances of playing football again, Levy finally told Milton: “Imagine you’re a rookie and it’s your first at-bat in the major leagues. The bases are loaded and you hit a grand-slam home run. Then you do it three more times in the same game. That would be what I think are the odds of you being able to play football. I’m not saying it’s impossible, but I’m not aware of anyone that’s done it.”

Well, guess what? Here we are three years and four grand slams later and KZ was on the field looking as magical as ever on a night when the Seminoles honored the late, great Bobby Bowden, who, had he been alive Sunday, would have said about Milton,

“Dad-gum, that boy has more guts than a long-tailed cat in room full of rocking chairs.”
One of the most motivational, inspirational stories in sports history.

“I never anticipated in a million years,” Levy said, “that he’d be able to get back to this level.”

Unlikely odds

Milton and his knee had already been through a lot before they got to Levy in Minnesota.

A hit from USF cornerback Mazzi Wilkins’ helmet dislocated his knee, damaged a nerve and tore an artery and ligaments. Milton needed emergency surgery at Tampa General Hospital to restore blood flow to his leg and two more surgeries soon after.

Within a few days, UCF’s Dr. Michael Jablonski reached out to Levy, whom he knew from a knee dislocation surgical skills course they took together. Their second-opinion conversations turned into a visit from Milton, his family and UCF medical staff.

RELATED: The other side of that hit on UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton

Milton’s knee was swollen, stiff and sore, Levy said, “as you can imagine with a devastating injury like that.” And the injury was devastating, even by Levy’s standards. Of the 10,000 operations Levy has performed, only a few hundred are comparable.

Levy told his patient as much when Milton asked about playing football again. If any athlete has ever returned to the field from that kind of damage, Levy wasn’t aware of it.

Levy compared Milton’s odds of playing again to a rookie making his MLB debut hitting a grand slam in his first at-bat … and then doing it three more times in the same game.

“So you think there’s a chance?” Milton asked.

Levy answered: “There’s always a chance.”

FSU quarterback McKenzie Milton has been healthy enough to play for the Seminoles.

Four-team Mayo Clinic operation

The next step was a four-team, seven-hour operation at one of the nation’s premier medical facilities.

A vascular team led by Dr. Gustavo Oderich moved Milton’s blood vessels out of the way so Levy and his team could start reconstructing the ligaments. Dr. Robert Spinner’s neurological team mobilized the damaged nerve so Levy could operate on the ligaments more. A radiology team stopped by periodically to check Milton’s blood flow.

The surgery accomplished Levy’s first goal — no amputation. Milton met the second goal months later through grueling rehab.

Then Milton and Levy could start thinking about the bonuses. First it was running. When Milton sent Levy a video of him sprinting across a field, Levy had to watch a handful of times to believe it.

image.png

Dr. Bruce Levy is the professor of orthopedic surgery at the Mayo Clinic

Dr. Levy helped save McKenzie Milton’s leg (and football career). Milton told Levy during one visit that he needed his heel to be able to touch his butt so his leg wouldn’t snap during a tackle. Levy said none of his previous patients were able to regain that much flexibility.

A few months later, Milton sent Levy a picture of his heel tucked all the way back. When Milton returned to Minnesota for his two-year checkup, Levy sent him through the same kind of return-to-play tests he uses on patients recovering from torn ACLs: running, jumping, cutting, strength.

Milton passed everyone.

Levy had no medical reason to hold him back, so he said the decision to play again was between Milton and his soul. Milton answered without hesitation: I’m playing.

McKenzie Milton’s comeback is ‘miraculous,’ even to his Mayo Clinic surgeon. The surgeon who helped save the former UCF star’s leg never would have thought he’d be vying to start at FSU.

FSU quarterback McKenzie Milton, is competing for the Seminoles’ starting spot.

‘He certainly defies all odds’

Thirty-three months after being carted off the Raymond James Stadium field, Milton is finally set to play again. He transferred from UCF to FSU in the offseason and continues to battle Jordan Travis for the Seminoles’ starting spot.

Milton has practiced enough — first on UCF’s scout team last fall and then through spring and fall camp with the ‘Noles —

That he’s no longer thinking about his knee. But Levy is.

“As excited as I am,” Levy said, “I’m nervous, too.”

Levy worries about every patient, but his concern usually eases once he clears them. Not with Milton. Not with an injury like his. Not after seeing him grind for two-plus years for the chance to play again. Not when another bad hit could jeopardize Milton’s leg — again.

The worry will not, however, keep Levy from the Doak Campbell Stadium sideline next Sunday. Levy will be there, in an FSU polo shirt, to watch Milton make his Seminoles debut. Even if he still doesn’t know how it’s possible.

“There are some things we can’t always understand and can’t always explain,” Levy said, “but he certainly defies all odds —

Just his pure will and drive and belief in himself that he can do it.

The Covid Endgame:

Is the pandemic over already? Or are there years to go? (msn.com)
BY Marc Fisher

It’s basically over already. It will end this October. Or maybe it won’t be over till next spring, or late next year, or two or three years down the road. From the most respected epidemiologists to public health experts who have navigated past disease panics, from polemicists to political partisans, there are no definitive answers to the central question in American life: As a Drudge Report headline put it recently, “is it ever going to end?”

With children returning to classrooms, in many cases for the first time in 18 months, and as the highly contagious delta variant and spotty vaccination uptake send case numbers and deaths shooting upward, many Americans wonder what exactly has to happen before life can return to something that looks and feels like 2019. The answers come in a kaleidoscopic cavalcade of scenarios, some suggested with utmost humility, others with mathematical confidence: The pandemic will end because deaths finally drop to about the same level we’re accustomed to seeing from the flu each year.

Or it will end when most kids are vaccinated.
Or it will end because Americans are finally exhausted by all the restrictions on daily life. Innumerable predictions over the course of the pandemic have come up lame. Some scientists have sworn off soothsaying. But as they learn more about the coronavirus that bestowed covid-19 on mankind, they build models and make projections and describe the hurdles that remain before people can pull off the masks and go about their lives.

The good news is there is some fuel for optimism.
“I truly, truly think we are in the endgame,” said Monica Gandhi, an infectious-disease specialist and professor of medicine at the University of California at San Francisco. “The cases will start plummeting in mid- to late September and by mid-October, we will be in a manageable place, where the virus is a concern for health professionals, but not really for the general public.” Gandhi bases her optimism on the fact that all previous epidemics of respiratory viruses have ended through the acquisition of immunity, whether by vaccination or natural infection.
Although viruses do keep changing, potentially circumventing people’s defenses, “they mutate quickly, at a cost to themselves,” weakening over time. Gandhi said she believes the delta variant has hit the United States so hard that this summer will mark the peak of this virus’s strength. But Gandhi warns she has been wrong before: In February 2020, she said the United States would not tolerate a disease that killed 100 Americans a day; people would come together to do whatever it took to stop that. That didn’t happen.

The bad news is there is too much cause for doubt.
“We’re in a moment of uncertainty, and humans don’t do well with uncertainty,” said Ezekiel Emanuel, a professor of medical ethics and health policy at the University of Pennsylvania. “Telling people it’s going to be two or three more years of this is really hard, but I don’t think anyone can be comfortable with the current state, with a lot of kids ending up in the hospital and a thousand deaths a day. That’s not returning to normal.”
Emanuel, too, notes that his crystal ball has suffered occasional cloudiness: In March 2020, he said the country would get back to normal around November 2021. For that, his friends dubbed him “Mr. Pessimist.” Now, his message is at least as unwelcome: It’s going to be at least spring 2022 and possibly much longer before most people are ready to resume normal activities, because of the spread of the delta variant, continuing resistance to vaccines and widespread anxiety, especially about children who are not yet eligible to get vaccinated.
Despite the disparities in experts’ opinions, there is a consensus bottom line about the biggest question: Pandemics do end, sort of. (Though there are exceptions, such as malaria.) Only smallpox has been effectively eradicated by human intervention. But many pandemics become endemic, meaning they morph into something that is no longer an emergency, but rather an annoyance, an ugly, even painful fact of life that people simply learn to cope with, like the flu or common cold.

The question is when and how we get to that point.
Some of the nation’s most prominent epidemiologists and public health experts say we are already there — for different reasons. “The emergency phase of the disease is over,” said Jay Bhattacharya, a professor of medicine and health economist at Stanford University. “Now, we need to work very hard to undo the sense of emergency. We should be treating covid as one of 200 diseases that affect people.”
The pivotal engine driving a return to normal life for Bhattacharya has been the vaccines, “which really do protect against death,” he said. “It’s a miraculous development, and we should just be celebrating it.” By driving down deaths and hospitalizations, especially for the most vulnerable populations — the elderly and people with preexisting health problems — “we have greatly succeeded, and to me, that’s the endpoint of the epidemic because we really can’t do better than that.”

The virus will continue to mutate and there will continue to be outbreaks, both seasonal and in geographic clusters, but “panicking over case numbers is a recipe for continuing unwarranted panic,” he said. Bhattacharya is ready to resume most pre-pandemic activities. He recently made his first overseas trip, to England, “and it was wonderful,” he said, “even with a mask.” Gandhi, too, has concluded that as scary and dangerous as the delta variant has been, “we’re sort of at the peak of the pandemic because the delta variant is causing immunity like crazy. Delta comes in like a hurricane, but it leaves a lot of immunity in its wake.”
Although its rapid spread and severe impact on some people are scary, the delta version has a hidden benefit: It makes future variants less likely to be more lethal, Gandhi said. Covid isn’t going away — “we’re going to get it,” Gandhi said — but as immunity increases, the virus will cause less harm. People will come to terms with it as they have with the common cold or the flu.“Unless you just sit in your room, you’re going to get it in your nose,” she said, “but at least in this country, it will be manageable.”
The big problem now, Gandhi said, is fear, “excessive fear of the pandemic on both sides,” she said.

“Democrats overestimate the death rate and Republicans underestimate it.”

That produces the psychological and political hurdles that are preventing a return to normal life, she said. Recent polling indicates most Americans’ perception of the pandemic has shifted markedly this summer, as the delta variant swept away the optimism of springtime. In NBC News polls in April and August, the percentage of Americans saying that the worst of the coronavirus is behind us collapsed from 61 percent to 37 percent.

Gandhi said the trouble lies with some Democrats resisting resuming activities they take part in during flu season without hesitation and some Republicans refusing to take the vaccine or wear masks in crowded indoor spaces. “I live in the bluest city in one of the bluest states, and I see this profound fear of the virus leading to extraordinary acceptance of lockdowns and keeping schools closed,” she said. But Gandhi says those hesitations can melt away quickly as case numbers fall.

image.png
Julie Swann views Gandhi as overly optimistic.

About how and when normal life might return. “She’s wrong,” said Swann, a systems engineer at North Carolina State University who advised the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on the H1N1 pandemic.
“And I hope it takes longer than she’s saying because that will be much safer.” Swann said Gandhi’s argument that the delta variant will create so much immunity that life can return to normal “is a really apocalyptic way of getting there. Do you want delta to burn through the population, creating immunity at a very high cost, or would you rather just wear a mask?”
The key factor for Swann as she creates models projecting how the virus is likely to play out is the role children play in spreading the disease.
The path to normal life is through getting children vaccinated, she said, and that is not likely to happen in large numbers until early next year. “Children transmit viruses to each other, to their families, to their communities,” Swann said. “The first step toward normalcy is getting children vaccinated, at least for ages 5 and up. 🙁

Right now, unfortunately, what we’re seeing in Florida is many, many children getting infected.” Swann sees several possible routes back to normal life, including letting the virus burn through the population, focusing on masking and hybrid schooling, or a return to lockdowns. But her preferred pathway is mass vaccination of children — which can only happen after the vaccines are approved for the 5-to-11 age group, a step that’s not expected until at least later this year — along with masking and increased testing.
Ten years from now, the coronavirus “will be like influenza — it can cause death, but nothing like what we see now,” Swann said. But in the next year or so, the best Americans can hope for is a partial return to normalcy, with hospitals no longer being crushed with Covid patients and occasional surges of Covid in communities with low vaccination rates. “We are not New Zealand,” she said. “We neither have the will nor the ability to control every case coming into our country.

But if we can vaccinate most kids, we will get to a point where we no longer need masks in schools, and we’ll have a return to normalcy, though it will look different in different places.” For now, Swann has started traveling again domestically, though she can’t imagine taking a foreign trip or going to a party until after her child has been vaccinated, probably around next February.

“That changes the whole ballgame,” she said.
The wild card, as it has been for adults, is how quickly and widely children are vaccinated.
And the national divide over vaccines, masks and other such politicized public health measures could well end up being the reason the pandemic persists in the United States, said Alex Berenson, a novelist and former New York Times reporter. Berenson’s agitation against the vaccine has become a popular source of succor for many who have refused to get the shot, but it also got him permanently banned from Twitter for what the company called “repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation rules.”

“I don’t know how we get there politically,” Berenson said of the quest for an endgame. “We are at a very confused moment.” He said his readers “are long done with covid. And personally, I have not worn a mask for months, and no one has challenged me anywhere about whether I am vaccinated or not.” (He’s not.) But “obviously some large number of Americans feel differently,” he said. “They are happy to live under government strictures indefinitely.
These two populations cannot comfortably exist. This is not a medical problem.
This is a political and social problem and it will have to be resolved politically,
I suppose.”

Berenson said he believes Americans can return to normal life right now, without mask mandates, contact tracing or vaccine passports. But “can” and “will” are different, and he expects it might be late 2023 or later — perhaps after the next presidential election — before any consensus might develop about returning to normal life. Any consensus on ratcheting down the fear and anxiety that the virus has spawned is more likely to emerge from public health campaigns than political campaigns, said Bhattacharya, the Stanford professor.
It’s up to public health officials to persuade Americans that if they are vaccinated, they can return to many pre-pandemic activities, he said. Bhattacharya, for example, is looking forward to teaching in person this fall, said he will happily meet with students, as Stanford is requiring vaccinations for everyone on campus. In contrast, as Emanuel returns to teach at Penn, “I’m nervous,” even with vaccination and mask mandates, he said.

“I’ll be testing myself and students will be tested, and I’m bringing a HEPA [air] filter into the classroom, and I’m still a little nervous about long term Covid. We’re still unclear on the direction of this thing. It’s plausible that we’ve hit the peak, but it’s also plausible that other mutations will be even more efficient.” Emanuel will know it’s time to resume normal behavior “when this thing looks like a flu, when the health-care system is operating normally, when my friends aren’t constantly asking me, ‘What can I do to stay safe?’ ”

That time will come only after there’s more data about how and when people get long covid, about what happens when people mix different vaccines, about the pace and character of the virus’s mutations. “People are pretty burned out 18 months into this thing,” Emanuel said. “And the exhaustion has been made worse by the rapid seesaw we’re having — take your masks off, put them back on. It’s all very confusing, but we have to be honest:

We don’t know when, we don’t know how. We Just don’t know?”
