Mysterious disease killing birds in Ohio, public asked to remove feeders here in Ohio Thursday, June 24th 2021, 10:47 AM EDT
By Madison Tromler WFMJ

What is the birds and the bees about.

A mysterious disease in birds wildlife experts said they have not seen before, is here in Ohio. The illness is killing birds within a day and officials ask people to take caution.

The unknown disease is causing death in birds in mostly Central Ohio and some other surrounding states, but the Ohio Wildlife Center said they have seen a small number of birds with the disease in Northeast Ohio, too.

Wildlife experts said they’re seeing the disease in mostly songbirds, such as blue jays and robins among others. “The presenter is usually finding them on the ground… their eyes are crusty or like caked together,” Ohio Wildlife Center Interim Executive Director Stormy Gibson said, “Sometimes their eyes look clear and they have neurological symptoms which means they might have a head tilt.” The disease is also causing blindness in birds. The Ohio Wildlife Center and Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife is asking the public to take down their outdoor bird feeders for the next week or two.
“The reason that is is number one, we want to try to stop birds from congregating together, whether we know that works or not… we don’t know,” Gibson said, “But we’re trying to help save our population of birds.” Gibson also said people should clean out their bird feeders and baths as well, properly dispose of a bird if someone finds one and report the finding online at WildOhio.gov.

“If the animal is already deceased, the Division of Wildlife is recommending to double bag it, wear gloves and a form of protection, and put it in the trash,” Gibson said. ODNR Division of Wildlife Communications Specialist Jamey Emmert said they’re conducting tests on the birds and working with wildlife experts on a national level, but right now there are more questions than answers.
The Ohio Wildlife Center said they believe the disease will likely continue to spread in birds throughout the state. “Birdwatchers are seeing this, local backyard folks are seeing it, and we’re seeing it in both urban areas and suburban areas and even our rural areas,” Gibson said, “they’re unsure whether the disease could harm humans or pets, so they suggest keeping pets away and not touching a bird without proper protective gear.
If you find a bird with this disease that may be alive, you’re asked to contact a local wildlife rehabilitator at OWRA.org. The Ohio Wildlife Center said they suspect more information on the disease will come next week.

Coastal cities face their mortality on the climate frontline – video  – images

Domination of the seas allowed many coastal cities to become trading powerhouses and cultural melting pots. But now that strength is becoming a liability as climate change swells the oceans, redrawing the map and putting hundreds of millions at risk. That’s the warning of an unpublished draft report by the UN’s climate science advisory panel, seen exclusively by AFP, which outlines the vast and urgent climate threats facing the planet.

From the air, you can see the problem.

In city upon city, office towers, warehouses and homes crowd the water’s edge as if they are jostling to take a dip, major roads hug the shore, landing strips jut dauntlessly into the frothing waves. These cities are on the “frontline”, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report says. “Difficult choices will need to be made as sea level continues to rise, floods and storm surges become more frequent and intense, warming increases ocean acidity and intensifies heatwaves,” it adds.

Rising seas will likely spark mass migration and eventually force whole cities to be abandoned to the flood. But profound consequences for megacities, small islands, arctic communities and deltas will come long before that – well within the lifetimes of most alive today.

Vast floods in Thailand in 2011 inundated manufacturing centres,

In some places, people already know all too well the destructive power of water. “I once was a bride of an affluent family,” Yasmin Begum tells AFP in the bare corrugated metal hut she now shares with her relatives in the Bangladesh capital Dhaka.

“My in-laws and parents, they had everything – cattle, nice house, farmland. But the river took it all away.”

The family had lived a relatively prosperous life in the southern island district of Bhola, an exposed tendril of land at the outer limits of one of the world’s most populated deltas. Then one night 12 years ago, the raging Meghna river devoured everything they had.

Begum, now 30 and a mother of three, scratches a living as a Dhaka housekeeper, while her husband drives a cycle rickshaw through the city’s steamy streets. They escaped one flood only to be at risk of another: Their new home, in one of the narrow-alley slums clustered precariously close to a flood barrier, is just metres from the riverbank.

‘Mortal’ cities

Roughly a tenth of the world’s population and assets are based less than 10 metres above sea level. “Structurally, a lot of cities are set up in almost the exact wrong place for a world with rising seas,” says Ben Strauss, CEO and chief scientist at Climate Central. Ports and airports are built on the very flattest, lowest land possible.

“Sea level used to be stable,” Strauss explains. “Not anymore.”

Land currently home to 300 million people will be vulnerable to annual flooding by 2050, according to his research. Those least able to afford to protect themselves will likely be hit hardest.

All urban areas are increasingly stifled by air pollution and extreme heat, but those at the coasts are also deluged by flooding intensified by the rising water level and lashed by storms whipped into greater fury by warmer seas.

Saltwater washes across agricultural fields and rice paddies, while ecosystems – crucial for economies, cultures and climate protection – are gravely degraded by human activities. Cities like Venice and Jakarta are also sinking, while low-lying island nations, particularly in the Pacific, are at risk of disappearing under the waves.

The report says slashing emissions now can reduce the risks.

image.png

“But the sea-level rise is accelerating and will continue for millennia,” it says.

Greenhouse gas emissions are locking in global heating that is melting ice sheets and glaciers and expanding oceans. The greenhouse gases already in the air have essentially baked in the amount that waters will rise until around 2050. By 2100, the IPCC has predicted water levels could be 60 centimetres (24 inches) higher, even if global warming is limited to well below two degrees Celsius — the cornerstone target of the 2015 Paris Agreement.

Longer term, it says, the prospects for many coastal cities are “dismal” without deep cuts to emissions. Meanwhile, humanity continues to pump pollution into the atmosphere, locking in global heating that is melting ice sheets and glaciers and expanding oceans. In just a few decades we may have emitted enough to eventually drown some of the world’s great cities, Strauss says.

By 2050, an at-risk region like South Florida might have developed a multi-decade plan to “empty out”, he says.

“We live our lives knowing we’re going to die, but I don’t think we often think of our cities in those terms,” he tells AFP.

“Most of our coastal cities are mortal. A lot of them will end in flood in the long run.”

image.png

Dhaka faces ‘severe escalating risk’ from climate change, the IPCC report says.

Cascading risk

Costs are already rising.

In October 2012, Hurricane Sandy slammed into the coast around New York and New Jersey, killing scores of people and causing tens of billions of dollars in damages. The storm caused “cascading” impacts, the IPCC says, triggering massive power outages and disrupting water and communication links for hundreds of thousands of people.

Disasters like this in globalised coastal cities pose “risks for societies and the global economy in general”, the report says. A worst-case scenario projection for the world’s 136 largest coastal cities calculated expected damages by mid-century of between US$1.6 to US$3.2 trillion from sea-level rise without adaptation.

There were wide variations between cities, partly because of where assets and people are concentrated, study co-author Elisa Sainz de Murieta of the Basque Centre for Climate Change said. Guangzhou was top of the list, with damages calculated at around $330 billion by 2050 under a pessimistic emissions scenario without adaptation, and nearly US$1.4 trillion in 2100.

In second place was Mumbai, which the IPCC report describes as a “non-adapter” – with little done to prepare people and property for disaster – despite predictions that swathes of built-up area could be flood-prone by 2100. And cities continue to expand, putting millions more in harm’s way, particularly in Asia and Africa.image.png

The costs of climate and weather disasters are already rising steeply.

Lessons from the ‘bathtub’

How can cities protect themselves?

Options include engineered protections like dykes and seawalls, which could cut flood risk for up to a few metres of sea rise but can damage environmental systems.

Rehabilitating coastal ecosystems also offers broad benefits.

Storm surges kill fewer people and cause less damage when a coastal city is sheltered behind a wide buffer of mangroves or marshes.

Seagrass meadows, mangrove forests, coral reefs and tidal marshes also support marine life and related economic sectors like fisheries and tourism. There is “no silver bullet”, the IPCC draft says, but the choices will only get tougher as the impacts stack up. “We have to act now, because we are already too late,” says Johan Verlinde, programme manager for Rotterdam’s Climate Adaptation Plan.

More than half of the Netherlands is vulnerable to large-scale coastal and river flooding and over a quarter is below sea level. After deadly inundations in 1953 the country set about building a network of high-tech defences. The Netherlands currently allocates €1 billion (RM5 billion) a year for its “living with water” adaptation plan.

Rotterdam’s assortment of floating infrastructure includes a cattle farm. With 85% below sea level, Verlinde says the city is “really a bathtub”. “Every drop of water that falls on our city, we need to pump it up. We really need to be innovative to keep our feet dry,” he says. Dutch engineers travel the world sharing their flood resilience expertise, although many poorer countries and communities cannot afford the most effective big infrastructure defences.

image.png

The reasons why some are protected & others do not go far beyond national budgets

‘Sink or swim’

Cape Town is an “extensive adapter”, according to the IPCC, with flood protection infrastructure, as well as early warning systems in place. But almost 100,000 households are exposed to flooding in a city riven by deep poverty and the legacy of apartheid. Toward the coast, the serene Lake Michelle is a high-end housing complex enfolded within a secure perimeter fence.

Outside a scrubby strip of land separates it from Masiphumelele, where ramshackle informal homes blanket the waterlogged ground. The contrast is an example of the stark inequalities that make finding consensus on a response to climate change much more difficult, says Anton Cartwright of the African Centre for Cities.

“Ultimately we’re all going to have to sink or swim – literally in this instance – together,” he says.

Saint Mark’s square in Venice is waterlogged ~

Die by drowning’

In the end, even the most innovative, big-spending adapters may not be able to avoid the ultimate solution: retreat.

Indonesia has already put together plans to shift its capital to Borneo from subsidence-wracked Jakarta.

In Bangladesh, climate-related migration has already started. But this is just the beginning.

Studies predict sea-level rise could displace nearly a million people in the country by 2050, and more than two million by the end of the century.

Dhaka will likely be a destination for those driven from their homes in other low-lying coastal areas. But the delta city, where almost 40% of people live in vulnerable informal settlements, is itself expected to face increasing inundations. As simple as their rented house is, Begum says they cannot afford to lose it – her family has nowhere to retreat to. “Then probably we’ll have to die by drowning,” she tells AFP. “We have no other option.”

Like Begum, some communities will be unable or unwilling to move even if their homes are at risk.

And some places are irreplaceable.

Flooding threatens key infrastructure like this airport in bangkok, deluged in 2011

‘Queen of the Seas’

Unesco describes Venice as an “extraordinary architectural masterpiece” where even the smallest buildings contain works by some of the world’s great artists, such as Titian and Tintoretto. The city was founded in the 5th century, although it was not until the 10th century that the “Queen of the Seas” became a major maritime power.

Today, Venice is the most threatened world heritage site in the Mediterranean. Over 90% of the city is vulnerable to flooding.

Venice has installed mobile barriers to close lagoon inlets during storm surges. But if sea levels rise 30cm, floodwaters could slosh around the palazzi for several weeks. At 75cm, they could linger for six months. The IPCC’s most pessimistic prediction for 2100 is 1.1 metres. Oceanographer Georg Umgiesser says because of the effects of subsidence, even half a metre would be “catastrophic” for the city.

St Mark’s Square would never be dry.

And Venice is not alone – up to 140 world heritage sites are at risk of coastal flooding even at two degrees Celsius of global warming, mostly in the Mediterranean.

What we’ve lost

Humans have told stories about cities and civilisations swallowed by the sea for centuries. In the past, there was no evidence linking behaviour to the deluge, but now our choices are creating real Atlantises of the future, says Strauss. “Our efforts to stop climate change are to protect the lives that we have today, but also they are going to shape the stories that our descendants tell about us,” Strauss says.

“And I think there will be a lot of stories about what we’ve lost, about the things we failed to protect.” – AFP, June 24, 2021

Why is “liberal” media pushing an “America Last” message and
a new Cold War?

U.S. president Joe Biden (L) and Russian President Vladimir Putin meet during the U.S.-Russia summit at Villa La Grange on June 16, 2021 in Geneva, Switzerland. Biden is meeting his Russian counterpart, Putin, for
the first time as president in Geneva, Switzerland. If you get your foreign policy news today from CNN, MSNBC or NPR or similar outlets.
Then you’re bombarded hour after hour with the idea the United States has the absolute right to impose sanctions on country after country overseas if they violate human rights or are not democratic.
To give just one example: On Sunday, CNN anchor Dana Bash grilled Biden’s national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, on why the White House is not imposing yet more sanctions on Russia (and China) and why Team Biden was “giving in to Russia” on the gas pipeline to Western Europe. Sullivan was emphatic in insisting that sanctions had been imposed and more were on the way, boasting that Biden had grabbed even more presidential power to sanction Russia through an executive order. I’m old enough to remember the superiority complex behind the liberal media propaganda during the Cold War with the Soviet Union. Russian General Defends Right to Use Nuclear Weapons if Existence of State Is Threatened.

While U.S. foreign policy, in the name of democracy, massacred millions of people of color, mostly civilians, across the globe from Asia to Southern Africa to Latin America.  In the middle of the Cold War, when Martin Luther King Jr. denounced the U.S. government as “the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today” and criticized U.S. hubris fueling the Cold War, liberal outlets like the New York Times and the Washington Post furiously condemned King — in essence, telling him to leave foreign policy to “us white guys.”
When it came to relations between nations: King criticized the “arrogance” of our country and the West in “feeling that it has everything to teach others and nothing to learn from them.” Jump to the present, and you see the same arrogance in liberal U.S. media:
We have everything to teach others — whether Russia or China or Iran or Venezuela or any of the dozens of countries the U.S. is imposing sanctions on, sometimes deadly sanctions.
Let’s do today what MLK urged us to do back then: Look at ourselves in the mirror. There is no more precious human right than the right to be free from jail or prison. So it’s a human rights violation of epic proportions that the United States has more than 2 million people incarcerated, way more than any other country, including China with its much higher population. Our people behind bars are  disproportionately Black or brown people. Liberal media have recently learned how to throw around the term “systemic racism,” but when lecturing other countries they deftly forget that mass incarceration is an affront to notions of “democracy” and “human rights.”

It’s a human right to be able to live without the fear of violence. Yet no other major country has so much gun violence, with hundreds shot every day — one of many problems that U.S. “democracy” can’t even address, let alone solve. One might have hoped that recent U.S. history would have humbled liberal media pundits about their cherished belief in the U.S. as a “beacon of democracy” to the world — and therefore, our sacred right to punish other countries that don’t measure up.
After four years of Trump and a Trump movement that has captured almost half the electorate, after our corporatized media system lavished massive amounts of free airtime on candidate Trump in 2015 (CNN, CBS, ABC, etc.) because it was good for network profits, after years of a dysfunctional political system in Washington that serves the rich and giant corporations when not in total gridlock, after the Supreme Court was packed with right-wing judges through legislative double-dealing, after ever-increasing voter suppression targeting people of color and young voters, one would hope for some humility about “U.S. democracy.”
Yet liberal media pundits keep propagandizing the public about the USA’s right to lecture foreign countries over their political systems, and to severely punish them (leaving aside allies like Colombia, Saudi Arabia and Israel, of course). Never mind the horrific consequences to civilians overseas when deprived of life-sustaining imports. These liberal news outlets may despise Trump, but they sure put “America first” when it comes to policing the rest of the world. And they seem intent on instigating new cold wars with Russia and China.

It’s indefensible that Putin has imprisoned and nearly killed opposition
figure Alexei Navalny, and it’s important for the U.S. government to publicly and privately speak out against such behavior. The same goes for China’s terrible  mistreatment of Uyghur Muslims. But while speaking out with self-awareness and humility about human rights, the U.S. also needs to work collaboratively with Russia on cyber-peace and disarmament (the two nations have 90 percent of the world’s nuclear weapons) and with China on climate change. Without collaboration, the world is doomed.
The liberal view on the original Cold War with the Soviet Union is that
“we won.” The progressive view is that everybody lost, especially Global South countries like Vietnam, Iran, Indonesia, Guatemala and El Salvador that were victimized by U.S. invasions, coups and proxy wars supported by both Democrats and Republicans. I have a bold idea you won’t hear on CNN or MSNBC: Instead of lecturing and sanctioning the rest of the world, let’s get our own house in order. Let’s lead by example. On democracy, instead of sanctioning other countries, Team Biden should rally Democrats to sanction the U.S. Senate by establishing majority rule through an end to that Jim Crow legacy, the filibuster. Biden should address the right-wing-packed Supreme Court.

On human rights, let’s cut the U.S. military budget in half, and provide
things that other advanced countries already have: universal health care and free or near-free higher education. Let’s invest billions of dollars in poor and working-class communities, and end the horrors of mass incarceration.
Let’s cancel student debt that burdens 45 million people and, at long last, seriously tax U.S. oligarchs and corporations to pay for these investments (and perhaps worry less about sanctioning Russian oligarchs).
Joe Biden likes to think of himself as a foreign policy specialist. If he listens to the laptop warriors in the media who want him to “pivot” belligerently toward China and Russia, an adventurous foreign policy will undermine the Democrats’ domestic agenda and doom his administration quicker than you can say “LBJ.” And Republicans will retake Congress.  Biden can succeed only if he ignores the media hawks and focuses laser-like on domestic policy — galvanizing his party toward a serious FDR-like effort to address human rights and climate change with major federal programs uplifting working-class people of all colors.

Iran’s incoming president shoots down Biden plan to expand nuclear deal to missile program. by Joel Gehrke.

Iran President-elect Ebrahim Raisi says U.S. sanctions must be lifted, won’t meet President Joe Biden – UPI.com

Iranian officials will not agree to curb their missile program even if the Islamic republic returns to the 2015 nuclear deal with the United States and other Western countries, the hard-liner regime’s hand-picked president-elect said. “All sanctions must be lifted, and their removal must be verified. America must abide by its commitments under the nuclear agreement,” Ebrahim Raisi, who was elected over the weekend amid questions about the regime’s involvement in the race, said Monday, according to state media.

Raisi Era Will Move Iran Closer to Russia and China – LewRockwell

“The Iranian missile program is not subject for negotiations.”
Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s team hopes to curb Iran’s expanding nuclear program by orchestrating a joint return to the 2015 pact, which then-President Donald Trump exited in 2018. U.S. officials maintain that such an agreement would set the stage for a broader dialogue about threats emanating from Tehran. Raisi’s statement could aggravate the bipartisan misgiving that the current round of talks could lead to the loss of leverage needed to secure any other concessions from Tehran.
“This is just the Iranians putting their foot down … which both politically and from a policy perspective puts the Biden administration in a bind,” the
Foundation for Defense of Democracies Behnam Ben Taleblu said. “If there is no potential for ‘longer and stronger,’ then all it looks like the Biden team
[is doing] is clawing back a fatally flawed and fast-expiring nuclear deal.”

TOP SENATE DEMOCRAT: BIDEN’S IRAN DEAL STRATEGY FREES TEHRAN’S TERRORIST SUPPORT

Blinken has faced skepticism not only from Republicans but from some congressional Democrats who worry that the administration’s stated plan to return to compliance with the 2015 pact and then begin talks over Iran’s ballistic missile program and support for terrorism will fail after the first step.
State Department spokesman Ned Price declined to give a direct answer when asked what the U.S. would do if Iran refuses to commit to negotiating over the broader range of security threats.
“We are confident that if we are able to return to JCPOA compliance, from there, we will have the tools, additional tools we need to address issues
outside of the nuclear deal,” Price told reporters Monday. “And in fact, we’ll be better positioned than we are right now.” Raisi staked out that position in his first press appearance since Iranian officials announced that he would be the next president, following an election marked by historically low turnout and apparent efforts to ensure that a hard-liner replaced outgoing Iranian president Hassan Rouhani.

Raisi, an ally of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who now runs Iran’s judiciary, has been reviled by human rights groups for his role
on a so-called “death committee” that reportedly ordered the execution of thousands of political dissidents in 1988.
“Iranian authorities paved the way for Ebrahim Raisi to become president through repression and an unfair election,” Human Rights Watch Deputy Middle East director Michael Page said. “As head of Iran’s repressive judiciary, Raisi oversaw some of the most heinous crimes in Iran’s recent history, which deserve investigation and accountability rather than election to high office.”
Western officials and observers are not sure whether his current rhetoric is a clear portent of future policies in Tehran. His emergence as a power player on the international stage coincides with the conclusion of a sixth round of “indirect” talks between U.S. and Iranian officials in Vienna, which so far have not produced an agreement.

“The United States has to come to the recognition that it was the United States that left the deal with an objective, and that objective was not achieved,” Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif said Saturday. “Now it is coming back to the deal, so it cannot dictate the objectives that it couldn’t achieve through economic war on the negotiating table. I think that’s a cognitive transformation that the U.S. administration needs to make. And I think we are getting there, but not there yet.”
The timing of Raisi’s emergence as president-elect and the latest break in the talks —
the negotiators are returning to their capitals for new consultations — has raised the possibility that Iranian officials will return to Vienna with new demands, but it remains to be seen how they will approach a seventh round.
“It could be that the Rouhani and Raisi teams are actually playing good-cop/bad-cop,”
Ben Taleblu said. “Ultimately, the foreign and security policy is going to
be devised elsewhere. The president is going to be implementing the policy,
but with the amount of latitude granted to him by the Supreme Leader.
So, time will tell.”

Why Iran’s New President Ebrahim Raisi Isn’t Who You Think He Is

What is eternal life? Eternal life traditionally refers to continued life after death, as outlined in Christian eschatology. The Apostles’ Creed testifies:
“I believe… the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.” In this view, eternal life commences after the second coming of Jesus and the resurrection of the dead, although in the New Testament’s Johannine literature there are references to eternal life commencing in the earthly life of the believer, possibly indicating an inaugurated eschatology.
He gift of eternal life comes to those who believe in Jesus Christ, who is Himself “the resurrection and the life” (John 11:25). The fact that this life is “eternal” indicates that it is perpetual life—it goes on and on and on, with
no end. It is a mistake, however, to view eternal life as simply an unending progression of years. Eternal life is not simply life that never ends, but a fullness of life that is unending. In fact, in many ways, eternal life really has nothing to do with time as it can be experienced apart from time as well as within time. The Bible tells us that everyone will exist eternally!!!  Peace & Love – YouTube

Watching the USA from the outside is like watching a great tragedy taking place – with the villains running freely causing more and more destruction – shifting the blame onto those who want to uphold peace and harmony and to simply live a beautiful life. For all my friends in the USA – please be aware that your country is under full blown attack by the same Rothschild funded Bolshevik insurgent agents that caused most of the destruction and chaos in the world over the past 250 years.
This is the most dangerous organized crime syndicate on Earth. They have killed presidents, started wars, overturned governments, abducted, tortured, extorted, bribed and murdered millions of people to retain their control over most of the world’s governments to date. Among their more famous victims have been: Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Archduke Franz Ferdinand 1914; Tsar Nikolai Romanov 1918, JFK in 1963, Hendrik Verwoerd South African Prime minister 1966, and many world leaders who defied their
banking system – including Muammar Gaddafi of Libya.

Donald Trump is the first leader to have broken that control and removed them from power in the USA by taking control of the FED. This is why the attacks on him are so vicious and relentless, and they come from all sides. Since the USA was always the Rothschild’s strongest territory – to control the rest of the world, with its powerful army, these global criminals have pulled out all the stops to overturn a duly elected president.

How the Rothschild family rule the United States Of America – Since Trump controlled the Army and FED, their main tool is the mainstream media, with its repeating lies and propaganda 24/7 to poison the minds of the people. They are fighting for their survival. They will lie to your face, use human tragedy and emotion in their favor against you, destroy the economy, destroy cities and monuments, bring down an entire country, kill and deceive everyone – just to achieve victory.
Please be aware of this. If they cannot destroy Trump – they will be finally destroyed after 250 years of global control. If you live in the USA, it is very difficult to get a clear view of the situation, because most of the US media is part of the Cabal and toxic with anti-Trump propaganda. Trump’s victory will liberate all other countries from the Rothschild control of all central banks and bring freedom to people everywhere.

How does a central bank get rich during times of war.
Whether you like Trump or not, is not the issue – he is the only world leader who has defeated the Rothschild’s by hijacking their central bank in the USA Government. This happened quietly during March 2020, and without any media coverage, because the media is owned by the same Rothschild banking empire. TRUMP’s success against the deep state and their Communist, Bolshevik agents, is not about the USA surviving – it is liberating the WHOLE WORLD from their bloodthirsty control. Inform yourself – be smart – be aware.
The freedom of the world depends on your next move and what happens in the USA .
The United States fought the American Revolution primarily over King George III’s Currency act, which forced the colonists to conduct their business only using printed bank notes borrowed from the Bank of England at interest. After the revolution, the new United States adopted a radically different economic system in which the government issued its own value-based money, so that private banks like the Bank of England were not siphoning off the wealth of the people through interest-bearing bank notes.
But bankers are nothing if not dedicated to their schemes to acquire your wealth, and know full well how easy it is to corrupt a nation’s leaders. Just one year after Mayer Amschel Rothschild had uttered his infamous “Let me issue and control a nation’s money and I care not who makes the laws”, the bankers succeeded in setting up a new Private Central Bank called the First Bank of the United States, largely through the efforts of the Rothschild’s chief US supporter, Alexander Hamilton.    The Federal Reserve Cartel – Eight Families own the USA #BIS, IMF, World Bank – The Herland Report (hannenabintuherland.com)

How many would just have the usual winter flu (which some now call Covid.)
There’d never have been a state of emergency, lockdown & untested vaccines.
Exactly what I have been saying all along to my family, if nobody gets tested there is NO Pandemic !!!!

(Belated) 4 am rant! Why aren’t we speaking out against peaceful protestors being held in confinement for exercising their right to protest at the Capitol? We can’t allow patriots to be locked up to fit a false narrative. Wake up people!
Maybe we need another million man March, but this time to Gettysburg, Monticello, Philadelphia….a gathering of the people …THE MAGA PEACE MARCH! We are the non violent, peaceful, silent majority….it is time for us to take our country back!
Also, there are those on the left who think he’s completely justified for saying this. How did our country become so hateful?

When the leftist mob disrupted the Kavanaugh hearings; cornered Senator Flake in an elevator; *blocked hallways and took over* (*CNN: “gathered in”) Sen. Collins’ office, there was no solitary confinement of these trespassing insurrectionists!
Everyone waits for the next person to speak up. We need to get rid of this
“my one voice won’t count” mentality and come together as one, to right the wrongs happening in our country today. So they tear down all the monuments that remind us of slavery…Then create a holiday to remember slavery.

Why is JB talking about overthrowing the gov’t? Woman shrugging
I don’t know since it was easy for Dems to steal it. He’s old – confused and can’t remember the exact lie they’re pushing from day to day. It’s so many.
I think that they are hearing the rumblings of many patriots who are fed up with what the left has done. Now Dementia Joe is talking the Military, how many bullets they can fire, F-15’s flying over & nuclear weapons.

Dear God… I hope he can’t press that RED button on his own.

Somebody please hide the ButtonDouble exclamation markDouble exclamation markDouble exclamation mark

He already has. Just have to wonder how many troops will fire on their families and nuke American soil before they depose Biden, he literally threatened every American citizen with his statement today goood or bad a nuke doesn’t care. What’s the vaccine for Biden and his socialist #HandsUpDontNuke

They know what is coming. Why do you think they’re trying to take firearms?
The only reason why the government would want to disarm you after 243 years is because they intend to do something that you would shoot them for. Hillary Clinton made odd statements. She said “If I go down, I’m not going alone” and “If they catch us they will hang us?

He’s being held hostage by progressives. Nah, prolly not this, I think he’s just trying to create a false narrative.
Because Trump said this week if the audits prove him to be the winner then it will be up to the public to reinstate him and the Dems will not let go of power without violence. So they can use our own military against us and are willing to do so. They are determined to make all Americans slaves.

The One Sign You Have to Drag Out of the House…
Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

Chatty Gemini also loves to be in environments that are invigorating to
her vivacious spirit, but that doesn’t necessarily mean roaring parties and rambunctious crowds. Occasionally they’ll let loose at a concert, but these renowned dual personalities flourish more in spaces where they can moderate intellectual conversations. Geminis are content in the comfort of their own homes, enjoying their own company. If they should throw a shindig, it’s likely to be something small.
You can find Geminis hosting a small book club in the backyard with
fancy hors d’oeuvres, followed by a deep discussion about a new novel.
You might also catch them at a small networking event, brushing up on their personal branding skills. And you can expect them to host an intimate watch party for the latest environmental documentary that just came out on Netflix, right in their living room. Basically, these social creatures don’t get on the VIP list, they create it.

“Does the president believe that a 15-week-old, unborn baby is a human being?”
A reporter asked Jen Psaki during the daily White House press briefing.
“Are you asking me if the president supports a woman’s right to choose?” replied Psaki, dodging the question. “He does.”
Biden’s support for abortion in all stages, despite claiming to be a devout and faithful Catholic, has recently resurfaced in the news after the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) voted to clarify the guidelines for
pro-abortion politicians receiving communion.
“Joe Biden is a strong man of faith and as he noted just a couple of days ago, it’s personal,” Psaki said, adding that the president did not “see it through a political prism.”
“That’s how many Americans feel as well,” she added.
Psaki also ignored follow-up questions about Biden’s struggle with the USCCB over the issue of abortion. “I think we’re going to move on to the next question, because I’ve just answered that, and it’s personal,” she said. On Friday, Biden challenged the bishops on the issue.
“I don’t think that’s going to happen,” he said to reporters at the White House.

Humanity is Waiting in line to file for unemployment benefits in Fort Smith, Ark., last April!!!

The Pandemic Stimulus Was Front-Loaded. That Could Mean a Bumpy Year.
The U.S. economy is about to face a new challenge that has its roots in the arithmetic of growth: That which fiscal stimulus giveth, fiscal stimulus taketh away.

The $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan enacted in March, as well as a $900 billion pandemic aid package passed in December, are heavily front-loaded. They were set up to get money out the door fast. But one consequence of that strategy is that fiscal policy in the quarters ahead will subtract from economic growth.

Economists mostly project that the economy, with strong momentum in the labor market and huge pools of pent-up savings by households, will be strong enough to keep growing despite the fading of the fiscal boost. To avoid an economic downturn, a huge handoff must occur from government-driven demand to the private sector. The mainstream view is that this will be successful.
But there are aspects of this unusual economic moment that could make the road ahead bumpy. There is no modern precedent for such huge swings in sums the government is pumping into the economy. And there is a risk — recently acknowledged by a top Federal Reserve official — that if pandemic-era savings are disproportionately held by the affluent, they will sit on that cash rather than spend it. “We’re definitely going to see a huge drop-off in fiscal stimulus,” said  Nancy Vanden Houten, lead economist at Oxford Economics.

“The question then is how well positioned is the economy to deal with that,
and we don’t really know for sure, which applies to so much about this period we’re going through.” Most Americans who were to receive stimulus checks of a combined $2,000 per person have already gotten them. The Treasury Department said this month that $395 billion of that cash is now shipped, which is slightly more than the payments in the American Rescue Plan were projected to cost when it was passed.
While unemployment insurance payments remain elevated, that spending is also tapering as people return to work — and supplements to those payments are scheduled to expire in September. Much of the other spending was either near-term, focused on things like vaccine rollout, or will be spent very gradually, such as on an expanded child tax credit and grants to state and local governments.
Overall, government spending added 8.5 percentage points to the economic growth rate in the first quarter, according to calculations by the Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy at the Brookings Institution. But that so-called fiscal impact is forecast to turn slightly negative in the second and third quarters — and then act as a meaningful drag on growth in the fourth quarter of 2021 and in 2022.

By the second quarter of 2022, fiscal policy is on track to subtract 3.3 percentage points from the growth rate, considerably more than the 2.2-percentage-point subtraction in the third quarter of 2011, which was the most extreme quarter in the last post-stimulus hangover of the previous recession. That could change depending on where negotiations on infrastructure and family support policies lead, but those policies would be expected to influence fiscal policy over many years — they are back loaded rather than front-loaded — so they shouldn’t radically change the near-term future.
The case for staying calm even as federal spending plummets rests on the rapid growth of the private sector in recent months. Employers are adding to their payrolls at a breakneck pace, so rising compensation ought to prop up consumer spending even as government support goes away. Businesses report being in an expansionary mood, which bodes well for investment spending. And overseas economies should start to surge ahead as other countries achieve more widespread vaccination, which would be good news for American exports.
“I think the basic story is that the economy is reopening, so it can take the fact that this stimulus is coming off,” said Louise Sheiner, a senior fellow at Brookings.

Moreover, Americans are sitting on a vast pool of savings from money they didn’t spend on things like travel and restaurants during the pandemic. Households have saved an average of $282 billion per month since March 2020, compared with $103 billion a month in 2019.
So a big question for the economy in the second half of 2021 and 2022 is what happens to that cumulative additional savings of $2.5 trillion. Will it prop up near-term spending enough to keep growth on a strong track, or will Americans instead prefer the comfort of having a beefed-up balance sheet?
That’s where the distributional concern arises. To the degree that money is held by people who are financially well-off, they may be less likely to spend it and   help propel the economy.  “Today’s fiscal tailwinds are projected to shift to headwinds next year,” said Lael Brainard, a Fed governor, in a speech this month.   “So an important question is how much household spending will continue to support growth into next year, as opposed to settling back to pre pandemic trends.”

On the other hand, the rapidly shrinking fiscal surge could help moderate the inflation pressures that have been building in the economy. Whatever you think of the decision to send $2,000 to people, there won’t be any more checks that might push demand even higher and risk fueling a cycle of inflation. Ultimately, this is another example of the ways the pandemic-driven economy is an unusual one.
The only real historical comparisons to the kinds of surges in government spending of the last five quarters involve the beginnings and ends of wars, which have their own economic dynamics. Which means it’s worth watching exactly what happens as the federal government pulls back, and whether American consumers and businesses and importers from around the world step up the way forecasters expect.  100 Most Dangerous Cities – 2021

From what I saw in the bible,

Kushner Unveils $50 Billion ‘Peace to Prosperity’ Plan for Mideast | Voice of America – English (voanews.com)

I believed that Trump would announce an Israeli peace agreement in June of 2019. https://www.voanews.com/usa/us-politics/kushner-unveils-50-billion-peace-prosperity-plan-mideast

Remember, Trump would not be elected for another 9 months…
How did I know that 3.5 years before it happened?

Nobody else was predicting that.
Ain’t many that would agree with me but I believe we’re now down
to around 5 1/2 years. Show me a 7 year tribulation in the bible…
It’s not there, there are (2×3.5 year periods.) with the first 3.5 being when they “ask you to join” and the second 3.5 being the TRIALS & TRIBULATIONS where you’ll suffer greatly if you don’t join…I believe we’re in the first 3.5 year period where they are establishing/ consolidating power.  Trying any way they can to entice people to join them.

Right around mid 2023:
I believe the asking phase is gonna be over.
By that time, they will have clearly delineated who’s on what side.
You’ll either have done what they told you to (Join them) or you won’t
utilize their Banking, Utilities, Grocery stores, or Medical facilities.
This is about them building a Worldwide Army to fight Jesus Christ
when he returns to earth.

The Satanists know the full implications of Rev 16:16 and they know
the 7 year countdown began when the Israeli Knesset accepted that peace agreement  (Notice the complete global chaos began within several weeks of the Knesset’s decision.)

The Satanists actually believe they can defeat the Creator of the cosmos.
Just as Jesus said, 99% of average Christians will be too busy with helicopter parenting their kids, or worrying about a non deadly virus or some other insignificant issue to notice his imminent return.  This is just my opinion though…

Death Sentence | JTLP American Patriot (gab.com)
@40AcresandaPrayer I’ve been thinking along these lines too….
like everything else in the Bible, we have overanalyzed Revelation.

Christians don’t see the big picture because they are wrapped around some timing detail, and are like the old story about the man on the roof in the flood who keeps turning down rescuers, saying “God will rescue me…” and when God yanks him off the roof — he says to God “what took you so long?” God says, “who did you think was in the boat, and the helicopter, and the raft….”

@CJLowcountryPatriot @40AcresandaPrayer Let us look at Revelation for a minute, we know that Revelation takes place around Israel. Israel was not a nation again until 1948 when Psalms 48 mentions a birth in one day, that was Israel. Most people did not associate Israel with Revelation so nothing could happen until Israel became a nation again. So now let us look at Psalms 90 verse 10, generation is 70 years, with strength 80 years, but when strength, labour, and sorrow fails we fly away. Israel is 73 this year. Now let’s look at what Jesus stated, this generation shall not pass until all prophecies are fulfilled. Since the generation ends at 80 there are only 7 years left.

So let us look further into the bible, Song of Solomon 2 shows the bridegroom comes after winter in the spring when the fig tree branch is tender. We also see the mention of over the mountain the bridegroom comes, Behold, in Psalms 121 the mountain is mentioned as well as we shall no longer be smitted by the sun and moon, in seal 6 of Revelation we have the mention of the untimely figs from the fig tree, Matthew 24:32 the green branches and summer is nigh, as well as after we are taken to heaven then the sun will not touch us nor the heat and we shall be with the Lord and He takes us to God to have our tears wiped away.
So to see exactly where we are right now, Solomon, Psalms, Gospels for the fig tree, and seal 6 all say the same thing for the rapture.

Then we look further into Psalms and Revelation then we see that from
Psalms 121-128 matches seal 6 to chapter 19 for the 7 years and in Psalms that match with Revelation 20 Israel survived its youth. So we are indeed further along than what people want to believe. For soon the rapture of the church shall be here. Check it out for yourselves. For when sorrow-kingdom against kingdom and nation against nation fails, labour- the workforce is declining and fewer people are wanting to work, and strength- the time between 70 and 80 years when people shall be worn out. fails we fly away, Psalms 90 verse 10.

Nearly 4,000 fully vaccinated people in Massachusetts have tested positive for coronavirus. The easiest way to present the main reason why I don’t trust any of the rapture doctrine today is because some years ago when I was researching Marxism, I discovered that Rothschild had his hands in so many things that took root in the year 1844 and Darby with his dispensationalism and rapture were one of them. So I will start with Darby the man, funded by the house of Rothschild to bring confusion to your church and why it didn’t bother him to do so at all. Hold on rapture lovers this is going to take your breath away.

John Nelson Darby was a Satanist, Freemason and agent of the Rothschild-owned British East India Company, which  was a powerful multinational corporation that supplied trade world-wide for the Crown.
And we now know after the Revolutionary war, via the Paris Treaty, the East India Company in the colonies ceased and Payseur became a debt collector for the Crown in its place in Virginia.  We now know this later changed in 1871 to THE UNITED STATES INC. when congress sold the land to pay off its’ civil war debt via entering into a tri-corporate agreement between the Vatican and London Bank, via using Vatican’s gold to pay off the Crown.

Darby’s family owned Leap Castle, which was famous for being the most sinister and occult castle in Ireland’s history.  But, he soon became more famous for being the leader of a Christian sect called the Plymouth Brethren (named for Plymouth, England, where its most popular gatherings were held). He is generally credited with originating the “Secret Rapture” doctrine and made several trips to America to spread his ideas.
The Rothschild’s committed their fortune to the Zionist movement, beginning around but no later than 1829.  Now this was a shared effort with the Oligarchy/Cabal and concealed from the public. A secret society movement to help achieve its global policies through international organizations that later grew into Bilderbergers, Trilateral Commission, and an upper level of Freemasonry. With its highest identifiable source as the Rothschild banking dynasty. Their shared goal is to bring Lucifer out into the light and to do away with the Christians, or at least move them into confusion in order to direct them into a one world religion. Which today is the sustainable development goals for the 21st century that are the big push of the United Nations.

Which is controlled by Babylon the Great.
Now one of the other things that happened in 1844 was the World Zionist Movement officially organized in New York City. Also brought to you by Rothschild’s and the Secret Societies who sought to rule the world.  At the same time in 1844, Darwin’s Theory on Evolution and Marxism reached a popularity and these pet projects were now recognized and pushed as truths even though all were theories.
All of these theories were funded and or encouraged by the secret cabal to serve their bidding. I have done a lot of research on the year 1844 and was wanting to do a book on it titled, “1844” With a subtitle, “The Year Satan Pulled Out All His Guns”.
For all the seeds planted in 1844 grew into monsters of acceptable practice of today. Even cyber warfare was born in 1844 with the telegraph and the first overseas communication. The message sent was, “What hath God wrought?”
I always thought the Prince of the Power of the air was mocking God…as it should have stated, “What hath Satan Wrought?”
Today it has grown into the World Wide Web and Cyber Warfare.

Everything from 1844 has grown into a monster used by the Satanic Cabal to control the masses today. From the work of James Perloff, he has documented a very thorough history of Darby and all the Cabal/Illuminati movements generated by the same. Here are some of the excerpts to his link on the subject:
“Darby used many terms in common with occult Theosophists—he referred to Jesus as “the coming one” (same term New Agers use for the Antichrist); referred to God as the “architect” (same phrase employed by Freemasons, meaning “God” for the uninitiated, “Lucifer” to true adepts); and many other occult phrases, as summarized in this article.

“Darby even penned his own satanic version of the Bible.
The Illuminati have always known they could not perform a wholesale transformation of the Bible, because it would be recognized as such and rejected. Therefore the approach through the centuries has been to whittle it away: a word here, a phrase there—the universal strategy of boiling the frog.
“Darby slyly introduced satanic wording into the Biblical text. For example, in the King James rendering of John 6:69, Peter told Jesus: “And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.” Darby rendered this: “And we have believed and known that thou art the holy one of God.” “Holy one of God” is a title used for Jesus only by demons in King James. For a comprehensive review of Darby’s satanic mistranslations, see the article John Nelson Darby Version: Doctrinal Changes to the Holy Bible.
No one wants to hear that the beliefs and interpretations to the Bible they have memorized and believed, and shared with others to bring to the Lord are a tool of the illuminati and the same Cabal that stole the election and is pushing vaccines and wants to rule the world in a tyranny after it is depopulated. No Christian wants to know they were duped by Satan himself into believing a lie. No one wants to hear that.

But it has to be heard. If not now…when? It will be too late to come out of her my people. So anyone wanting to argue over scriptures…we can. But before we put energy batting words back and forth. Look and see whose message you are spreading. For it is not of the Lord, it is of the very thing you hate. It is the same Cabal that little by little stole your Constitutional Freedoms and God given rights. These same ones are behind stealing your Jesus and making his message twisted into something that is not true.
Dispensations take the entire Bible and censors things saying they no longer apply and fits things where they don’t belong. It leaves room to twist and reinterpret and destroy the true meaning of what God’s Word said. It is literally an abomination to the meaning of the Word of God. All to dumb you down –
it is the fake news of the Bible!

FAKE with a little truth here and there.
Please read the motivations as to why the Cabal had Darby teach it and
how the Cabal has modified it all along the way.

More excerpts:
Unfortunately, as we will now see, Fundamentalism was itself infiltrated and hijacked, consistent with the Rothschild strategy of funding both sides of wars. Fundamentalist churches were targeted to enlist their support for the Zionist agenda. The two principal agents in this scheme were

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) and Cyrus Scofield (1843-1921)
What Darby planted, Scofield watered and disseminated. The theology they developed served the agenda by making several claims:

• God wanted the Jews to return to, and take over, Palestine.
• God has two plans of salvation—one through the Gospel of Jesus Christ,
the other a guarantee reserved for Jews, his “Chosen People.”
• Christians should not involve themselves in politics, education, business or the arts, as these are “worldly” matters that should be left in the hands of “worldly” people. (The consequences of this doctrine are very visible in American culture today.)
• God deals with mankind differently during different historical time frames or “dispensations,” of which there are seven. The current one, “Grace” under Jesus Christ, is merely the sixth of the seven dispensations.
• The Christian Church is doomed to inevitable failure, which will bring the Dispensation of Grace to a close.
• The end of this dispensational age will be marked by the Tribulation—worldwide persecution under the Antichrist for a period of seven years; however, Christians need not concern themselves with this, since Jesus will “Rapture” believers off the Earth and they won’t be around to experience it.
• Earth will then experience a Jewish era; Jewish ritualistic animal sacrifices will be reinstituted; Jesus will reign for a thousand years from Solomon’s rebuilt temple in Jerusalem.

These doctrines, whose main outcome was “Christian Zionism,”
might seem boring to atheists and agnostics, but they are nonetheless exceedingly relevant to the state of the world. They are espoused by celebrity-status theologians like Hal Lindsey, Pat Robertson and John Hagee, in the best-selling Left Behind book series, and are prevailing views in many conservative evangelical churches. Survival of the Fittest

Life After College And A Championship Win 🙂
Survival of the Fittest
Survival of the fittest term made famous in
the fifth edition of On the Origin of Species
by Charles Darwin.

Which suggested that organisms best adjusted to their environment are the most successful in succeeding. “Survival of the fittest” is a phrase that originated from Darwinian evolutionary theory as a way of describing the mechanism of natural selection. The biological concept of fitness is defined as reproductive success. In Darwinian terms the phrase is best understood as “Survival of the form that will leave the most copies of itself in successive generations.” The continued existence of organisms which are best adapted to their environment, with the extinction of others, as a concept in the Darwinian theory of evolution.

Compare with natural selection.

The belief that only the people with a strong desire to succeed and the ability to change as conditions change will achieve success: Lodewicus Theodorus “Louis” Oosthuizen is a South African professional golfer who won the 2010 Open Championship. He also holds the distinction of having finished runner-up in all four major championships: the 2012 Masters Tournament, the 2015 and 2021 U.S. Open, the 2015 Open Championship, and the PGA Championship in 2017 and 2021. He is one of eight golfers to accomplish this feat, joining Craig Wood, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson, Greg Norman, Phil Mickelson, and Dustin Johnson. His highest placing on the Official World Golf Ranking is fourth, which he reached in January 2013.

I love Louie’s demeanor on the course. He’s so calm and polite.

He would be a good guy to pair with. I also Love his swing and he’s a consistent putter too.
Louie has a perfect swing and still hits shitty shots. He has perfect rhythm, not a perfect swing. There’s no hope for the rest of us… 3 times in contention on the final day this year and falls apart .
Louie has been in contention on the final day 3 times this year. He is the only player in the top 8 that hasn’t shot under par today, otherwise he would have won or had a play-off . He’s a bag of nerves and a bottle job !! They don’t paint pictures on score cards. It’s not how it’s how many. Nicklaus said Tom Weiskopf  had the perfect swing.

The Golden Bear won more majors. You know that this game is won between the ears too. The top 8 all shot under par on the final day . Not concerned about day 3 . My point is, he’s been a wuss on day 4 . Top 8 entering Sunday and they shot final round Henley 73 …Hughes…77……Bryson…..77…..McIlroy ….73..….. Scheffler….73…….Wollf ….74 !!!

Rahm’s putting on the last two holes was incredible. That put the pressure on Louie….. Top Golfers All time:  I’m tired of hearing how great his swing is. It’s got great tempo and balance, but it’s not a perfect swing. He struggles with his hips moving into the ball just like the rest of us. I guess you never heard the old saying about the golf pro with the million dollar swing and 10 cent head. I’ve seen a million of them everywhere. At the end of the day all we can do is shoot our shot.. That’s the beauty of the swing; its two parts-technique and tempo. 2nd one is sooo hard to keep when shoulders get tight and we try to steer it.

Dr Bob Rotella said it best…golf is not a game of perfection.

He has to be extremely wealthy at this point, and his tips have helped my golf swing tremendously. As we golfers know, it’s not really about the great shots you hit …it’s the number of average ones you get away with that makes the most difference. Speak for yourself. I have an awful swing and still hit a few decent shots. There’s hope for us all. Perfect swing if he finishes his backswing. Got too quick and pulled it like his coach says.
It’s a toss up between best looking swings Louis Oosthuizen golf swing – Bing video and Tom Lewis golf swing – Bing video

However, TL hasn’t had even near the success of LOUIE. Rory has The smoothest swing on tour…. That swing is butter!!! I was there Thursday. It was humbling to watch how good those swings are and still yell fore and hit trees. Shit it is not easy! You still have to aim them correctly.

I’m not sure his target off the tee on 17, but I bet it was too far left.

The decade line in golf swing – was at the right bunkers.

Thought this exact thing when he hit it in the barranca. Also I fucking love your attitude. You take sooo much Shit IN STRIDE. Plus you can shoot in the 60s at Torrey. Matt Wolf golf swing video and Louis prove that any swing can lose… Then there are those with * jIM Furyk golf swing – video laughs * imperfect swing OR (1) Nick Price ARC swing slow motion  versus (1) Fred Couples Lever golf swing who hit good shots. Weird game 80% between the ears…. The most important shots in golf require little “swing” in th3 short game.
Picking on one of the most beloved players on tour ain’t cool. He is human like the rest of us, as is Bryson, Phil, JT, Jordan, Rory,.. We all suck sometimes, at golf that is. He’s a great example of being disappointed as a competitor but not mentally tortured…he may have a few more chances to hit some shitty shots… You know I think we can call this Meltdown Sunday. It wasn’t just Louie …Bryson.

He’s too nice. I know that sounds stupid but he doesn’t have that killer instinct and it showed up big time today. But it could have been my fault. I put a bet on him after the 13th hole and I am good at picking losers. Trust the swing, just release the club head & see what happens. Do it again and again, that’s golf. Between the ears is where the perfect golf swing lives to get the job done if your shitty shots are away from the trouble, you’ve got a chance. Paige Spiranac (@PaigeSpiranac) / Twitter

Paige Spiranac’s Fresh Perspective On Golf Has Earned Her Lots Of Fans.

Paige Renee Spiranac – Wikipedia (born March 26, 1993) is an American social media personality and former professional golfer. She played college golf at both the University of Arizona and San Diego State University, winning All-Mountain West Conference honors during the 2012–13 and 2013–14 seasons, and leading the Aztecs to their first Mountain West Conference Championship in 2015.[1]

Spiranac – Wikipedia first played professionally in December 2015, joined the developmental Cactus Tour in May 2016, earning her first and only win in June when she defeated an amateur golfer at Scottsdale’s Orange Tree Country Club.[2] In August, Spiranac failed in her attempt to qualify for a card to play on the professional LPGA circuit, and she retired from professional golf in December 2016.  Paige Spiranac – Wikipedia

After initially creating her social media accounts to post trick-shot videos,[2] Spiranac had more than 2 million followers on Instagram by 2018.[3]
(1) Paige Spiranac’s Fresh Perspective On Golf has been playing the game since childhood, but only recently has she been getting a lot of attention. After an article was written about her, Paige’s social media following went from a few thousand to a few hundred thousand, virtually overnight. That’s a lot of new golf fans! Keep reading to learn more about this athlete’s story and how she’s attracting people to the world of golf.
Paige Spiranac Has Been Playing Golf All Her Life.

Like many kids, Paige Spiranac played a few different sports as a young girl, including golf. The game became such an infatuation for the athlete that her friends and family weren’t surprised when she went on to play at the collegiate level.
She competed on the women’s golf team at the University of Arizona and San Diego State University. While playing in college, Paige did exceptionally well, winning various championships and titles.
(1) Paige didn’t grow up wanting to play golf.
She was interested in another sport altogether. Keep reading to find out which!
Paige Spiranac: Winning at the collegiate level. From the 2012 through the 2014 seasons, Paige brought home the All-Mountain West Conference title for San Diego State University. She also went on to help the Aztecs women’s golf team win their first-ever Mountain West Conference title. Even so, the women’s golf community is small. She didn’t necessarily get a lot of attention. That is until she started doing something very specific on social media. Then, Paige was getting a boatload of attention!
She learned the power of social media early on in her career.
Social Media And (1) Paige Spiranac doingTrick Shots. While in school, Paige began to use her social media accounts, specifically Instagram, to post videos of her performing various trick shots. The short clips gained her a huge audience, something she wasn’t expecting at all! Her following is so large, over two million, that she is technically considered a social media personality. That’s not too bad at all for an athlete who posted some videos just for fun.

What was next for Paige?
Life After College And A Championship Win

Of course, her time in college had to come to an end. In July of 2015, people finally saw Paige away from the Aztecs and on her own, playing in the Colorado Women’s Golf Association Match Play Championship. After her 35-hole title match against Brittany Fan of the University of Colorado Boulder, Paige was able to snag the win with nine holes under par. This is the same year, Paige began to get quite the following.

Next: why she gave up her first sport of choice.

She Grew Up A Gymnast

Golf sensation Paige Spiranac’s worst injuries ever – including vile detached nail

When she was growing up, Paige had huge dreams of becoming an Olympic gymnast.

At a young age, she was even invited to train at the Karolyi Ranch. However, the universe had other plans for the young girl… big plans.

Paige Spiranac broke her kneecap not once, but twice during training.

Sadly, Paige was also bullied by peers for her Olympic dreams.

Both events had her quitting before she made it to the podium.image.png

Starting Off Her Career With Five Titles – Bing video

Paige Starting Off Her Career With Five Titles  It’s safe to say it didn’t take long for Paige to become a master of the sport. Just starting off, the young girl won five titles in the Colorado junior golf circuit. Then, in 2010, she went on to win the Connecticut Women’s Golf Association Junior Stroke Playback. This was just the beginning of Paige’s long and successful golfing career, though. Next, the young player was headed off to college, where she was going to make waves!

Next: find out how much her first professional prize was worth.

2016: The Year She Turned Pro

While Paige was gaining a huge following as an amateur golfer, 2016 brought a whole different can of worms. It was the year Paige could finally call herself a professional golfer, after coming in 9th at the CoBank Colorado Women’s Open. Along with being able to leave the course calling herself a pro, Paige also walked away with a prize of $1,750! It’s not nearly as much as seasoned professionals make at the end of a win, but it’s a start.

Next: Paige attended two different colleges… Do you know which ones?

Heading To College

Considering all of the titles and championships she won as a junior player, it’s not hard to imagine all of the schools wanting to recruit Paige. One of these schools was the University of Arizona, where she earned a scholarship. Although she didn’t stay with the Arizona Wildcats for the duration of her college career, Paige sure did make it known that she was a contender on the course, even as a freshman.

Unfortunately, the University of Arizona wasn’t a fit for Paige, so she transferred to another school.

image.png

That’s coming up next. She Shot A Personal Best of 73

While Paige played as a freshman for the Arizona Wildcats during the 2011-2012 season, she shot a personal best of 73, twice! More remarkably, she was able to shoot that score twice when she only played in three events. But the school wasn’t a good fit. And after her first year, Paige decided she wanted a change of scenery. So, she uprooted herself from Arizona and moved to southern California and San Diego State University.

How’d she do in San Diego? You’re about to find out.image.png

San Diego State University Proved To Be The Right Move For Paige.

As it so happens, the transfer was the right move for the student-athlete. During the 2012-2013 season, Paige obtained sixth-place Mountain West Championship honors, the 19th finish during the NCAA Central Regional Championships, First-Team All-Mountain West honors, and fifth-place Cal Classic honors. Not too bad for her first year on the women’s team at San Diego State! And that was only her second year in college. This golfer was just starting to show what she was made of. Paige Was Second-Team All-Mountain West Honors

After a stellar 2012-2013 season, people were excited to see what Paige was going to bring to the team as a junior during the 2013-2014 season. As it turned out, she didn’t disappoint. As an upperclassman, Paige went on to achieve Second-Team All-Mountain West Honors as well as a top ten finish at the Mountain West Championship. It’s safe to say Paige had a very bright golf career ahead of her after college.

Next: one of the happiest moments of Paige’s life.

Of course, after three amazing years playing at the collegiate level, it only makes sense that Paige’s college golfing career went out with a bang. According to Paige, winning the title was “one of the absolute happiest moments of my life.” Ironically, the title was just the start of Paige’s career.

Of course, Paige’s fanbase was growing with each of her achievements.

In 2015, Paige began to see a huge uptick in her social media followers.

Who does she have to thank for the exposure, you might ask?

The follower explosion is all in thanks to a Total Frat Move article that encouraged people to check out the golfer. In just two days, the number of followers on Paige’s Instagram account went from being under 10,000 to 100,000.

That’s a crazy uptick in the world of Social Media Platforms

How Paige Spiranac became golf’s sex symbol — and pissed off the pros (nypost.com)

While the golfer has only one win under her belt as a pro, she is still a huge social media personality and one of the main faces for women’s golf.

Aside from Paige Spiranac  (@paigespiranac_) Instagram, people also follow Paige Spiranac (@PaigeSpiranac) / Twitter. The athlete actually uses the platform       to help promote some of her other business ventures, including her podcast. One of her tweets said, “Idk if you heard, but I have a podcast. Playing A Round With Paige Renee on Apple Podcasts …

A golf podcast… So yeah, please listen. I’d very much appreciate that!”       Paige Spiranac’s career – Bing

You might not believe this next fact about Paige.

Ironically, She’s Camera Shy

While she is very active on social media, promoting the sport, her podcast, and teaching various tips and tricks of golf, Paige is ironically very camera shy. To get over her fear, Paige actually went as far as launching her own YouTube channel. She wanted to get over the fear of sharing her thoughts with strangers over the internet. And considering she very much enjoys talking about golf and helping people with their game, it was definitely something she had to get over!

CyberSmile And Anti-Bullying

It’s a good thing Paige was able to get over her camera fright since she uses her social media platform for more than posting selfies. Instead, Paige uses her platforms to help the greater good, such as being involved with groups like CyberSmile. This anti-bullying group is something near and dear to Paige’s heart, as she was a victim of bullying during her youth. In the group, she opens up about her experiences with bullies and low self-esteem, hoping to help someone dealing with the same thing.

image.png
Like many female athletes, Paige appeared on the cover of a famous magazine.

Paige Has More Than One Sponsor

In fact, CyberSmile is one of the many groups sponsoring the young professional Athlete. Paige is also sponsored by Philip Stein Watches, Mizzen + Main, Parsons Xtreme Golf, and 18Birdies. She is also under contract with Golf Digest, modeling clothing for their website. And, to answer your question, yes, the partnership and her “non-tradition golf attire” brought in a solid amount of traffic to the Golf Digest website. It might have been what put her on Sports Illustrated‘s radar!

The only thing is, she did something no other female athlete has done before. What was it?

She Was On The Cover Of Sports Illustrated!!!

While Paige has more than one sponsorship, a contract with Golf Digest, and multiple titles under her belt, one of her crowning moments was when she modeled for the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine. In 2018, Paige graced Golf Digest cover of the magazine holding her sport’s equipment, something other female athletes’ haven’t done in the past. And that’s not the only big moment that happened to Paige that year.

Paige Writes A Column For Golf Magazine

The year 2018 brought more to it than the cover of Sports Illustrated. It also brought a writing job for Paige. Yup, when she isn’t managing her multiple social media accounts or hitting balls on the course, Paige is writing a monthly column for Golf Magazine, something she personally started for the company. Of course, she is more focused on the sport and less on writing about it, but it’s nice to know she’s very much invested in her fans!

America’s Greatest Danger Isn’t China. It’s Ourselves

Bible prophecy expert Ron Rhodes offers an easy-to-understand yet detailed chronology and explanation of end-times events. The chapters are arranged around the major end-times themes: the rapture, the tribulation, the millennial kingdom, and the eternal state. I have always had a problem understanding Revelation, ever since I read the Bible for the first time, I have read it a lot of times by now in many different versions, from King James through the NIV. And while the NIV and the English Standard are my preferred choices, nothing has helped me understand Revelation.
This book does! First it covers ALL the prophecies that are in the bible, that refer to the Messiah and the end times. Then it breaks them down into how they relate to us today and they EXPLAIN what they mean! It’s very clear and covers everything about the Second Coming and the End Times. Now I understand! And you will too! This does not mean that I fully understand the bible, you have to continue to read to digest what you are reading. It’s a never ending cycle, but I’m a better person (I think, because of it).
I highly recommend this book for people who read and study the bible.
I think you’ll like it. Ron Rhodes (ThD), president of Reasoning from the Scriptures Ministries, is heard regularly on nationwide radio and is the author of The End Times in Chronological Order, The 8 Great Debates of Bible Prophecy, and 40 Days Through Revelation. He periodically teaches at Dallas Theological Seminary and several other seminaries. To understand where our world is headed in Bible prophecy. Understand your important future and where your world is going. (*****) The End Times in Chronological Order: A Complete Overview to Understanding Bible Prophecy Paperback.

Delta Covid-19 Variant

Americans Up and Moved During the Pandemic. Here’s Where They Went

Delta Covid-19 Variant Could Be Dominant in U.S. in Two to Three Weeks, Study Says BY Betsy McKay

For example,   there is a team of Harvard scientists who are openly experimenting with blocking out the sun to curb climate change. And they are funded, in part, by Bill GatesBill Gates is

they want to kill 6 billion of us to war of global warming and here’s
how they’ll do it: Fauci: Delta Variant Accounts for 20% of
New Coronavirus Cases in U.S. (msn.com)

The highly transmissible Delta variant of the Covid-19 virus is spreading so rapidly in the U.S. that it could become the dominant strain in the next two to three weeks, researchers said, adding urgency to the nationwide vaccination drive.

The Delta strain, which first emerged in India in late 2020 and is also known as B.1.617.2, will probably make up 50% of Covid-19 infections in the U.S. by early to mid-July, said William Lee, vice president of science at population genomics company Helix and an author of the new analysis.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released data on Tuesday showing that the prevalence of the Delta strain more than doubled over the two weeks ending June 19 to 20.6% of positive Covid-19 test samples genetically sequenced, compared with 9.9% in the week ending June 5th.

“The Delta variant is currently the greatest threat in the U.S. to our attempt to eliminate Covid-19,” Anthony Fauci, President Biden’s chief medical adviser, said at a briefing on Tuesday.

Delta now accounts for nearly half of Covid-19 cases in some Midwest
and mountain states, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said at the briefing.
Dr. Walensky said last week that she expected Delta to become the dominant strain in the U.S.

Delta is competing to displace the current dominant strain in the U.S. with another variant, Gamma, which is also causing a growing number of Covid-19 cases, though it is spreading more slowly, the study found.

Public-health officials say the Delta variant is particularly risky to people
who are unvaccinated. Delta is about 50% more transmissible than the
current dominant U.S. strain, called Alpha, they say, which itself is 50%
more transmissible than the most commonly circulating strain last year.

The Delta variant has also been associated with more severe disease,
Dr. Fauci said. Full vaccination against Covid-19 appears to offer significant protection against the Delta variant, according to data from Public Health England.

That protection may not last permanently, Dr. Walensky said. “This variant represents a set of mutations that could lead to future mutations that evade our vaccines, and that’s why it’s more important than ever to get vaccinated now, to stop the chain of infections, the chain of mutations that could lead to a more dangerous variant,” she said.

The Delta variant has spread to some 70 countries, including the U.K.,
where it now makes up more than 87% of Covid-19 cases, according to Gisaid, an international genetic sequencing database. Its rapid spread led Prime Minister Boris Johnson to recently postpone a planned lifting of public-health restrictions.

In the U.S., Helix’s study found that the Delta Variant of Coronavirus Seen Spreading in Undervaccinated US Counties while the Gamma variant was spreading more quickly in counties with higher vaccination rates. Delta is unlikely to become as dominant in the U.S. as it has in the U.K. because
public health policies and vaccination rates differ by state in the U.S.,
the Helix scientists reported.

Helix, of San Mateo, Calif., is working with the CDC to genetically sequence positive Covid-19 test samples collected from retail pharmacies across the U.S. After the prevalence of the Alpha strain peaked in late April, the company examined variants that were displacing it.

The Gamma variant, which spread widely in Brazil, made up at least 16% of U.S. cases between June 9 and 15, according to the study, while Delta made
up 14% of cases that week. Delta is spreading faster than Gamma, Dr. Lee said. He said he expected prevalence of the Delta variant to plateau in the U.S. at about 70% to 80% of Covid-19 cases.

“A lot of that will depend on how successful our vaccination campaign continues to be,” he said. Some 45% of the U.S. population has been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, according to the CDC, and 53% have received
at least one dose. Mr. Biden had aimed for 70% of adults in the U.S. to have received at least one dose by July 4th.

While that target has been met among older Americans, 18- to 26-year-olds aren’t showing up for vaccination in as large of numbers as hoped, said Jeffrey Zients, the White House Covid-19 response coordinator. He said that poses a danger because many people around the world who have been sickened by the Delta variant are young people.

The Covid-19 test samples Helix analyzed come from across the nation,
but are concentrated in certain states. Of 243,769 positive test samples collected between Jan. 1 and June 15 and analyzed for the study, a quarter
were from Florida, Helix said. Other states heavily represented were California, Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina and Michigan.

Only about 20,000 of the positive test samples have been collected and analyzed since April, due to lowercase numbers and positive tests as more people have been vaccinated.
They are going to keep up with this forever, you really would have to be a fucking moron at this point not to see it. Only issue here is that if these sickos aren’t stopped, we WILL be seeing something much worse come out of the lab sooner rather than later.

Time to SHUT IT ALL DOWN. How that’s done, I have no idea at this point.
A scared society is a dependent society. Let me guess, we are all going to die unless we get 3 more shots, wear several masks, and we can’t leave our houses unless given governmental permission (you all laugh, but I bet that last one is coming). And all the people that don’t work get more checks.

Death rate from variant COVID virus six times higher for vaccinated than unvaccinated, UK health data show. Hospitalizations are higher among thousands of fully vaccinated individuals who test positive for the Delta
COVID ‘variant of concern.’ Yes it’s more contagious, BUT results in FAR FEWER hospitalizations or serious outcomes.

Biggest problem is who is now in charge of our country. We thought we
were locked down before. Sept/Oct I think we will be in for a rude awakening. Death rate from variant COVID virus six times higher for vaccinated than unvaccinated, UK health data show | News | LifeSite (lifesitenews.com)

Alpha was of course the first. We skipped the Beta. Gamma is not far behind then. They are taking advantage of a mostly science illiterate community and bullying them. I hope other scientists like myself have to push back. Since he is “science” manifested in human form, why doesn’t the Doc settle all the issues about how many genders there are, how transgender athletes can compete in whatever event classification they want, etc…?

Dr. Stacie J. Stephenson of VibrantDoc.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started your career?

“We have to change the fact that mental health is still missing from most healthcare programs” ~ Dr. Stacie Stephenson of VibrantDoc

Dr. Stacie Stephenson: “It takes a long time!” (thriveglobal.com)
Going into private practice was eye-opening. I thought my life and work in practice would be pretty simple. I would be a doctor and help people. But I quickly realized two things. One, that opening a practice is a business. That part I loved because I have an entrepreneurial spirit. But the second was much harder to manage: I had no idea how challenging it would be to practice natural treatment in an environment inhospitable to natural treatment.  My thriving practice filled with patients who sought out natural treatment because their other doctors weren’t helping them was a threat to the health care industrial complex, even in the tiny Midwest town where I started.

I have always had a vision of what clinical practice should be, and how we should care for patients as unique individuals, and in a truly service-centric way, but to do that in reality involves a lot of bucking the system. I realized that doctors don’t just treat patients. Insurance companies have power over the practice of treatment and patient treatment decisions. The state has the power to take away your license and your livelihood if you don’t follow their sometimes arbitrary rules, which are heavily influenced by profit-driven industries. A small or even a medium-sized healthcare business can be attacked on grounds that really have nothing to do with patient health and safety, or what the right thing for the patient — is a patient’s choice to make — truly is.
I think most patients think doctors are working in their best interest, and that is what we would like to be doing, but doctors are forced to act out of fear for their licenses and fear of insurance companies. Doctors have to think out of one side of their brain about how to give a patient the best care, while out of the other side of their brain, they have to think about how not to get in trouble with lawyers for the state, how not to lose their licenses, how not to lose their incomes (which are necessary to pay back debts from years of education) —
all that is swirling around in a doctor’s head all the time.

Dr. Stacie J. Stephenson Presents at Gateway For Cancer Research
In my practice, I always chose the patient but that is a rebel mentality.
It shouldn’t be, but it is. That is something I continued to learn even after
I left a private practice and became the Chair, Functional Medicine | CTCA (cancercenter.com)
Chair of Functional treatment at Cancer Treatment Centers of America. CTCA has a patient-first model, which is why that transition was an easy one for me. This is why they found me in the first place — we had a similar natural propensity for how health care should be practiced. CTCA believes the patient is always first and always right. They uphold those standards but it’s difficult in the current medical and legal environment. No matter how you practice patient-centric care, you have to fight that battle.

And again
Dr. Stacie Stephenson, Chair, Functional Medicine | CTCA (cancercenter.com),
this is one of the main reasons why I started VibrantDoc. I want to educate people directly about how to become as healthy as possible, so they never end up at the mercy of this medical model, having to rely on doctors who have their hands tied.

Can you share a story about the biggest mistake you made when you were first starting? Can you tell us what lesson you learned from that?

Just to put a point on my last answer, my mistake was exiting my training thinking I was entering the health profession to help people, and not understanding (at first) that the system doesn’t always allow us the freedom to do that in the ways we would like. The system doesn’t want to let go of a purely conventional, industrial model. It’s not a health care system at all. It’s really a sick-care system. I had this mistaken, glowing, optimistic idea of what it meant to be of service and it was a hard lesson to learn, that I was not free to enact that in the way I thought was best for my patients.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story about that?

Wow, there are so many people that would qualify for this answer.
I have been unusually fortunate, or just plain lucky, to have been able to interface in a direct and personal way with many of the brightest and most influential luminaries in the world of integrative treatment in this country. Every few years throughout my career, I made a collegial acquaintance that deeply mentored me in an area of treatment, and it was always by chance.

Often they could have taken notice of any one of thousands of students,
but they took notice of me, for some reason. I took this beautiful winding
path through Traditional Chinese treatment (TCM), functional treatment, naturopathic treatment, nutrition, and I have been able to interact in a meaningful way with the movers and shakers in this realm.
To name just a few, while learning acupuncture, I met and formed a friendship with one of the most honored acupuncturists in China, Dr. Jing Liu, who  has a practice in the U.S. Dr. Liu was named “The Master of Masters” by Dr. Shi Xue Min, the “Father of Acupuncture,” and she is my personal advisor both for my own health practices and for Traditional Chinese treatment information in my book.
In medical school,  I met Dr. Jeffrey Bland, the “father of functional treatment, and as one among hundreds of other medical students, he was willing to mentor me, ushering me into the world of functional treatment in a way that helped me really connect with that method of patient care and the people who practice it.

Later, I became friends with Dr. Joe Pizzorno, who founded Bastyr University, which was the first accredited naturopathic medical school in the United States, and we remain personal friends to this day. He took an interest in my career and showed me that integrative treatment has the potential to become a major player in the healthcare world. He helps keep alive in me the hope that what was once fringe will someday become the default for care.
I’ve interacted with leading thinkers in the world of chelation therapy, and have funded cancer functional treatment trials through Gateway for Cancer Research, which has given me the opportunity to meet renowned researchers who are blazing trails in the field of integrative cancer care. When you get involved with these projects in cutting-edge fields, you get to work closely with the brilliant minds who are actually operating on that edge and changing the course of integrative treatment.

Finally, I have to mention my husband, Richard J. Stephenson.
He is, simply put, a giant in the world of holistic cancer care.
He founded the Cancer Treatment Centers of America after his mother lost her battle with cancer because he wanted to provide care for other cancer patients that his mother was not able to receive.
He fought the battle that allowed medical facilities to advertise, so people could be aware that they had options.
He helped make acupuncture legal in the state of Illinois, where CTCA began, and has been involved in other legislative movements to improve the state of health care. When CTCA recruited me, we met for the first time, and the rest is history!
Meeting mentors and guides continues to happen to me, perhaps because I am never settled in what I know. I am always growing and developing and asking questions, and this has resulted in a steady trickle of mentors appearing just when I needed them.

Ok perfect. Now let’s jump to our main focus. When it comes to health and wellness, how is the work you are doing helping to make a bigger impact in the world?

My hope is that VibrantDoc and my forthcoming book will be how I am able
to make the biggest impact I’ve had so far. Through VibrantDoc, I continually offer guidance and direction related to all I know about prevention and health optimization, or as I like to put it, living a vibrant life. VibrantDoc has a presence on most major social media platforms, and I also post weekly blogs on my website and publish articles in health-centric publications whenever I get the chance. Knowing what it means to get sick and not get the help you need,
I want to empower people to take their health into their own hands. There is a lot people can do on their own to insure that they stay as healthy as possible, and that is by far the best scenario.

iN MY BOOK: Your Vibrant Self Care Book: A Guide to Wellness | VibrantDoc
I take people through a program of health renovation, bringing vitality and vibrancy into the body in a way that radiates and glows from within, and teaches people how to listen to the wisdom of their own bodies, I talk about what the stakes are and why it’s so important to nurture and strengthen health rather than leaving health up to chance.
This is how we build a healthy and vibrant future world. If people aren’t healthy, society cannot be healthy. My hope is that I can reach far more people through VibrantDoc and the book than I ever could in private practice, and I can speak the truth without fear of retribution, in a mode that does not involve government interference or insurance company dictates, but instead puts the power of health back into the hands of the individual.

Can you share your top five “lifestyle tweaks” that you believe
will help support people’s journey towards better wellbeing?

Please give an example or story for each.
To get the whole program for remaking lifestyle for health and well-being,
I hope you will look for my book next spring, and I’m always bringing you the latest tweaks based on what’s happening in the world on my blog, but one of my favorite things to recommend to people who are looking for a way to dip their toe into health empowerment is my Desert Island Supplement protocol.
If I was stuck on a desert island and I could have only five supplements, these are the ones I would choose. They cover your nutritional bases in ways your diet probably doesn’t, so you can provide your body, including your brain, your immune system, and your detoxification system, with everything it needs to heal itself and thrive.

They are:
Vitamin C. This is far and away my favorite vitamin. I recommend it to everyone. It is instrumental in many different functions, including immunity, which of course everyone is thinking about right now. High-dose vitamin C has been a medical treatment in integrative settings for serious viral infections, and it could prevent you from succumbing to a viral infection.
I recommend taking 1,000 mg per day to start, divided between two or three doses throughout the day, since your body processes and eliminates this water-soluble vitamin quickly. Some people (myself included) take much higher doses. You can work up gradually to 3,000 to 5,000 mg per day for maximum support, depending on your tolerance for it, but even 1,000 mg per day will give your immune system support and help to reduce inflammation. Don’t go up too quickly or you could experience some gastrointestinal issues. When you increase gradually, you can gauge your personal vitamin C tolerance.
Vitamin D3. This is the second most critical supplement after vitamin C,
in my opinion, and many people are deficient. The official party line is that approximately 40% of Americans don’t get enough, but I believe this number
is actually much higher. A vitamin D deficiency according to conventional treatment is to have less than 20 ng/mL of vitamin D (a simple test can tell you your level). Some labs and doctors put the level as low as less than 12 ng/mL. Those of us trained in functional treatment believe that level should be much higher — at least 50 ng/mL, and optimally as high as 80 ng/mL.

Most people don’t have a level that high.
We make vitamin D when the sun hits our skin, but considering that most people spend most of their time inside and many live in climates where they can get outside in the sun only part of the year, it’s simply impossible to get enough. Sunscreen also inhibits vitamin D production, but the risk of skin cancer trumps the benefits of vitamin D production, especially since you can get it through supplementation.
Be sure to look for the bioavailable D3, instead of the poorly absorbed D2.
I recommend a daily dose of 1000 IU for every 50 pounds of bodyweight.
Vitamin B complex. The B vitamins perform many critical functions in the body, including energy, growth, digestion, organ support, and hormone production, but they all work together and can be taken together. The best absorbed B vitamins are methylated formulas. Look for one that contains all
8 essential B vitamins: thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), pyridoxine (B6), biotin (B7), folate (B9) and cobalamin (B12). Follow dosage directions on the bottle (which, by the way, are generally formulated for someone who weighs about 150 pounds).
Magnesium with Calcium, aka Cal/Mag. These are the primary minerals I recommend. Magnesium is important for nervous system regulation, blood sugar and blood pressure regulation, and can help ease constipation (especially magnesium citrate). Magnesium can also ease anxiety and improve sleep quality (especially magnesium glycinate). Avoid the less well absorbed magnesium oxide. Women need 300 to 400 mg per day. Calcium is also important, especially if you are prone to osteoporosis, because it is necessary for building strong bones and teeth. Your muscles and nerves also utilize calcium. I recommend taking 1500 mg per day. Calcium citrate is better absorbed than calcium carbonate.
EPA and DHA (eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid)
are omega-3 fatty acids from supplements made from fish oil. EPA protects your heart and is anti-inflammatory, while DHA protects your brain and can help to fight off depression and reduce your risk of dementia. Both EPA and DHA also maintain the health of the cell membrane. Be sure to get a purified, mercury-free version. I recommend getting up to 4000 mg of combined EPA and DHA per day for maximum benefit.

If you could start a movement that would bring the most amount
of wellness to the most amount of people, what would that be?

I am starting a movement! The Vibrant movement. It is exactly what you say — my way of bringing the most wellness to the most people. We know that lifestyle determines health. You are what you eat. You thrive based on how much you move. You create happiness from health as well as from connecting with others. You benefit from understanding your own body, knowing how it works at least at a basic level, and learning to listen to its signals.
Your body is always talking to you, telling you what it needs, and telling you when you are doing something that is harmful or suppresses health and healing. The Vibrant movement is about learning to listen, to tune in to that voice within that tells you what you already know: Health is mostly up to you. Even if you have a genetic propensity for disease, something in your environment has to flip that genetic switch. You can keep those switches flipped off if you live a healthy life and take care of yourself, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Vibrant isn’t just about the obvious aspects of physical health. It is a truly holistic self-care program that looks at everything about your lifestyle and urges you to look more closely, too. Every decision you make can potentially influence how you feel and how well you thrive, or don’t. To be vibrant is to choose wisely what you will eat, whether you will exercise, how well you will love others, and how you build mental and physical resilience, organ reserve, and joyful life. Join us!

What are your “5 Things I Wish Someone Told Me
Before I Started” and why?

There are so many things I wish I’d known before launching into writing a book. It’s hard! I never realized how much energy it would take. I think a lot of people have the idea of writing a book, but the dream is much different than the reality of sitting down every day and getting your mind in the right place and writing content that will actually inform and help people feel empowered to live a better, more vibrant life.
I wanted to go beyond the obvious advice and dig deeper, and that took quite a lot of mental endurance and complex thought. I’m sure I’m better for it, though! It has been great exercise for my brain.
It takes a long time! I imagined I could write a book in a few months and then it would be published, but working with publishers is complex and the writing, editorial process, production process, and distribution take a long time. That’s not even counting all the time it took me to formulate and reformulate what I wanted to say and participate in how I want the book to look. The deeper you go as you consider a complex subject, the more ideas evolve and new concepts rise to the surface.
Before you know it, what you are saying is much deeper and more involved than you thought it would be. It’s invigorating and mentally stimulating, and it’s definitely not something you do in a quick couple of months. It’s ultimately far more satisfying than I thought it would be. The relief and pride of finishing that first full draft is like nothing I’ve experienced before. I’m still involved in the editorial process now, and I can only imagine how it will feel when the book is actually on the shelves of bookstores! It’s very exciting.

Sustainability, veganism, mental health and environmental changes are big topics at the moment. Which one of these causes is dearest to you, and why?

Mental health is close to my heart because I believe it is that one missing piece from most healthcare programs, including holistic ones. Mental health is still in the closet, surrounded by shame and misunderstanding. I’m actually offended that we call it mental health, as if it is something apart from physical health. It’s a false dichotomy. You cannot separate them. They are a composite, and part of the Vibrant movement is to take a truly holistic view of mental health. By holistic, I mean WHOLE-istic, as in the whole person and everything that influences that person’s life, from internal biochemistry to external environment, from past experiences to present choices.
Mental health is organic and physical but it isn’t treated that way. When your body sends you signals about its own well-being, that includes emotional and mental signals, like joy and delight, or sadness and anxiety. Worry has a physical effect on the gastrointestinal system, and digestive problems have a physical effect on the brain. It’s all one, and I will continue to champion this approach until a mental health crisis is judged and treated in the same way
as a physical health crisis.

Thank you so much for doing this with us!
Readers would love to “get to know you…”
Can you share your “backstory” with us?

My pleasure! I’m always happy to talk to Thrive Global.
When I was younger, the career I thought I would have was as an Olympic figure skater. I started skating as a child and trained seriously for over a
decade throughout my teens and into my early college years. I thought I was invincible. I never imagined I would get injured, even though many athletes do. I didn’t think a serious injury could happen to me…until it did.
I had always eaten a healthful diet and was exceptionally fit from all the training and conditioning but I drove myself really hard and juggled a lot.
I wanted to know everything and do everything, so while I was training full-time to make it to the Olympics and have a career as a professional athlete,
I was also fascinated in the health aspects of athletics and wanted to become
a doctor. On top of all that, since I had to fund my education and skating.
I worked my way through all of it by learning how to flip homes with very little money.. I couldn’t afford contractors so I was literally painting and laying carpet and even doing some roofing myself.

I was so sure that I could be a full-time, high-performing pro athlete while earning money on real estate, go to the Olympics, get a gold medal, then go into private practice, maybe with my real estate ventures on the side. What I didn’t realize was that between training full time, and working full time, and going to school full time, demanding perfection from myself out of everything I did, my body was breaking down. There were signs, but I ignored them.
I thought my stringent diet and the fact that I was exercising (i.e., training for hours a day) were enough to keep me healthy through a heavy course load, all-night study sessions, and the hard manual labor that comes with renovating homes, but I wasn’t paying any attention to the effects of the chronic stress all these activities put on my body and mind.
I subscribed to the “I can sleep when I’m dead” philosophy, so when my body literally forced me to stop, I was floored (literally). What seemed sudden to me was likely a long time in coming, but it seemed to me like it all happened in one fell swoop — one minute I was on the ice, the next I was in the hospital.

That’s when I had to have a real heart-to-heart with myself. I realized that if something like this could happen, I would be crazy to pour all my hopes and dreams into a career as a professional athlete. I was risking my future, and there were so many things I still wanted to do! I felt like I had barely dodged
a bullet. What was I thinking? Professional athletics is a fine track for many people, but I was trying to do it as just one of many ambitious ventures, and
I realized I was going to have to make a choice because I was physically and mentally exhausted.
I finally had to admit that I couldn’t do it all. There weren’t enough hours
in the day and I’d run my energy tank down to empty. My resilience was shot. “Just” going to med school seemed like it would be a relief. However, this was a hard decision, and my recovery was also long, painful, and difficult. I became depressed, and began to suffer from recurring strep throat infections. I got rheumatic fever and mononucleosis. It was like my immune system had given up. And then there were the doctors.

At that time, I thought being a doctor sounded great.
I imagined going into sports treatment or something along those lines,
but as I interacted with doctors throughout my recovery, I became disillusioned. At first I thought they would be able to fix me up and get me back into my skates, but they just kept adding to my long list of diagnoses and prescribing more medications, and none of it seemed to help. I had an intuition that there was more to my problem than prescription medication could fix. What about my depression? Why was I getting all these infections? But I didn’t get answers to those questions. This galvanized my resolve to become a doctor — the best doctor! Being naturally competitive and ambitious, I decided I could do better than those doctors who weren’t helping me. If I could only do one thing, I would do it all the way.

After I graduated from college, I enrolled in medical school.
But medical school was another disappointment. I learned that the doctors who had treated me after my accident were doing exactly what they’d been trained to do. They diagnosed me based on my symptoms and prescribed the appropriate medications, but that wasn’t what I wanted to be doing. All my medical school classes were about sickness and what I really wanted to know was how to be healthy. How could I help others avoid the kind of injury and subsequent breakdown I had suffered?
I began searching. I tried many different tracks in the medical school model, seeking some sign that this or that specialty would finally answer my questions and feel right and true. Then one day, a group of my fellow medical students convinced me to go to a seminar with them. There, Dr. Jeffrey Bland was speaking about a new field he was developing called functional treatment.

I listened to his lecture with great interest. Here was something different.
Dr. Bland was talking about how to follow symptoms back to their root causes and focus treatment there, rather than patching up the end-stage symptoms of a primary system dysfunction. For the first time, what I was hearing about health and disease made perfect intuitive sense. I left that seminar with EPA/DHA supplements, glucosamine supplements, and a whole new attitude.
I changed course and began to study to become a functional treatment practitioner.
That day opened up a whole new world to me, and I wanted to know everything. In addition to functional treatment , I studied and got certified in many other integrative, holistic, and lifestyle treatment therapies, including nutrition, acupuncture, chiropractic treatment, anti-aging treatment, regenerative treatment, and more. If it was about how lifestyle and other natural health enhancements could support the body’s innate healing power,
I wanted in.
When I was fully qualified, I went into private practice, opening my own small clinic in the Midwest, in a community you would not think would be interested in holistic health. Nobody else in town was practicing anything like what I offered, and after I hung up my shingle, I waited nervously to see if anyone would come to me for help. That first phone call was so exciting, and after that, the phone never stopped ringing. The idea that people could be empowered to affect their own health through lifestyle and natural remedies was just as attractive to my patients as it was to me (even if other more traditional local doctors didn’t approve of my “fringe” methods), and I did everything I could to help them. I worked very hard for 14 years.

Eventually, I closed up my shop and joined the Cancer Treatment Centers of America as their Chair of Functional treatment, and more recently I have joined the board for the American Nutrition Association, and I am an ambassador for the American Heart Association and the Vice Chair of Gateway for Cancer Research. Playing a role in these national-level organizations has given me an opportunity to create change from the top down. But after a few years, I began to miss having the individual impact on patients I had when
I was in private practice. To meet those personal needs, I started a new enterprise called VibrantDoc, dedicated to educating, informing, and empowering anyone who wants to live a more vibrant life. It’s also why
I decided to write a book, which will be coming out next year.

I’m a Doctor and Here’s How to Stop Dementia.
Dr. Stacie J. Stephenson.

Developing Alzheimer’s is one of the worst fears for many people, but there is still a lot we don’t know about what causes dementia. We know there are risk factors, both genetic and environmental, but the question is:
Can we prevent it?
While we don’t have set-in-stone answers to these questions just yet, the thinking around dementia prevention has changed significantly in the last 15 years. Scientists used to think it couldn’t be prevented, but the evidence is mounting that many lifestyle factors really do contribute to whether someone gets Alzheimer’s, and that these can be much more influential than any genetic risk.
That’s good news for people who want to take their health into their own hands (and why wouldn’t you?). To keep your brain vibrant, healthy, quick, sharp, and young, these are five evidence-based strategies that could make a meaningful difference in whether or not you ever develop Alzheimer’s disease.

1. Eat Mediterranean
Fact: People who eat a Mediterranean diet regularly (rather than just dipping in and out of it) have lower dementia rates. Eating in this style generally includes eating seafood a few times per week, lots of fresh vegetables and fruit, and whole foods almost exclusively, with very low intake of red meat, sugar, refined grains, and dairy (excepting fermented dairy products like yogurt).
The Mediterranean diet also utilizes olive oil (not butter) as the primary fat, and may include one small glass of red wine a few times a week, up to daily (that part is not required unless you are already a drinker).

2. Do Cardio
Studies show that regular cardio reduces the risk of dementia, and in those with a genetic propensity (the apoe-4 gene), 30 to 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous cardio on most days could significantly reduce or even eliminate the elevated risk!

3. Keep Your Friends Close
Research has shown that those with close social connections, including family and supportive friends, lowers the risk of developing dementia. On the flip side, isolation and loneliness increase the risk.

4. Achieve Your “Normal BMI” Goal
Many people know they could stand to drop a few excess pounds, but here’s a good reason to get on that ASAP: People with a normal BMI have much lower dementia rates than people with obesity. Obesity is also a risk factor for diabetes, and people with diabetes have much higher Alzheimer’s rates.

5. Sleep More
We now know that during the deep stage of sleep, the glymphatic system
in the brain clears out waste, including the waste accumulated & damages the brains of people with Alzheimer’s. People are most likely to get the most deep sleep when they go to bed by 10 or 11 pm. Stay up past midnight and you may chronically short yourself of valuable, brain-cleaning deep sleep. So get out of that late-night habit. Wind down, turn off screens, and tuck in by 10, and you could save your brain. 10 foods you should never eat before bed.

6. Final Word From the Doctor
The bottom line: is that many aspects of your health, now and in your future, are completely under your control, so those are the ones to focus on. I can think of few things more important than caring for your brain, and you can start by working on these five lifestyle changes today. You could not only ward off Alzheimer’s in your future, but you are likely to notice major brain benefits, like quicker thinking, better memory, and better concentration, almost immediately.  This is what people in their 90s regret most!!!

Signs and Symptoms
It is normal for children to have trouble focusing and behaving at one
time or another. However, children with ADHD do not just grow out of
these behaviors. The symptoms continue, can be severe, and can cause difficulty at school, at home, or with friends.

A child with ADHD might:
daydreams a lot
forget or lose things a lot
squirm or fidget
talk too much
make careless mistakes or take unnecessary risks
have a hard time resisting temptation
have trouble taking turns
have difficulty getting along with others

ADHD affects millions of adults

ADHD is defined as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.
ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder that occurs in children, teens,
and adults. Its core symptoms are inattention, impulsivity/hyperactivity.
In an adult with ADHD, symptoms of hyperactivity may be less obvious,
but difficulties with inattention, poor planning, and the impulsivity may
persist. These symptoms can appear at home, work or school, or social
settings. For a diagnosis of ADHD to be made, symptoms must be
present in two or more settings.

Symptoms of Impulsivity and Hyperactivity
Symptoms must occur OFTEN:

Leaves seat when remaining seated is expected:
Fidgets with or taps hands and feet, or squirms in seat
Example: leaves their place in the office or other workplace
setting, or in other situations that require remaining seated.
Runs or climbs where it is inappropriate, or feels restless
(in adults, may be limited to feeling restless),

Acts as if “on the go” or “driven by a motor” :
Unable to participate in leisure activities quietly.

There are three different types of ADHD,
depending on which types of symptoms are strongest in the individual:

1. Predominantly Inattentive Presentation:
It is hard for the individual to organize or finish a task, to pay attention to details, or to follow instructions or conversations. The person is easily distracted or forgets details of daily routines.
2. Predominantly Hyperactive-Impulsive Presentation:
The person fidgets and talks a lot. It is hard to sit still for long (e.g., for a meal or while doing homework). Smaller children may run, jump or climb constantly. The individual feels restless and has trouble with impulsivity. Someone who is impulsive may interrupt others a lot, grab things from people, or speak at inappropriate times. It is hard for the person to wait their turn or listen to directions. A person with impulsiveness may have more accidents and injuries than others.
3. Combined Presentation:
Symptoms of the above two types are equally present in the person.
Because symptoms can change over time, the presentation may change over time as well.

Causes of ADHD
Scientists are studying cause(s) and risk factors in an effort to find better ways to manage and reduce the chances of a person having ADHD. The cause(s) and risk factors for ADHD are unknown, but current research shows that genetics plays an important role.

Recent studies of twins link genes with ADHD.
In addition to genetics, scientists are studying other possible causes and risk factors including:

1. Brain injury
2. Exposure to environmental (e.g., lead)
during pregnancy or at a young age
3. Alcohol and tobacco use during pregnancy
4. Premature delivery
5. Low birth weight

Research does not support the popularly held views that ADHD is caused by eating too much sugar, watching too much television, parenting, or social and environmental factors such as poverty or family chaos. Of course, many things, including these, might make symptoms worse, especially in certain people. But the evidence is not strong enough to conclude that they are the main causes of ADHD.

Diagnosis
Deciding if a child has ADHD is a process with several steps.
There is no single test to diagnose ADHD, and many other problems, like anxiety, depression, sleep problems, and certain types of learning disabilities, can have similar symptoms. One step of the process involves having a medical exam, including hearing and vision tests, to rule out problems with symptoms like ADHD. Diagnosing ADHD usually includes a checklist for rating ADHD symptoms and taking a history of the child from parents, teachers, and sometimes, the child. Treatments

physician speaking to family
In most cases, ADHD is best treated with a combination of behavior therapy and medication. For preschool-aged children (4-5 years of age) with ADHD, behavior therapy, particularly training for parents, is recommended as the first line of treatment before medication is tried. What works best can depend on the child and family. Good treatment plans will include close monitoring, follow-ups, and making changes, if needed, along the way.

Managing Symptoms: Staying Healthy.
Being healthy is important for all children and can be especially important for children with ADHD. In addition to behavioral therapy and medication, having a healthy lifestyle can make it easier for your child to deal with ADHD symptoms.

Here are some healthy behaviors that may help:
1. Developing healthy eating habits such as eating plenty of fruit,
vegetables, and whole grains and choosing lean protein sources.
2. Participating in daily physical activity based on age.
3. Limiting the amount of daily screen time from TVs, computers,
phones, and other electronics.
4. Getting the recommended amount of sleep each night based on age.

Embracing the Summer Solstice

SUMMER SOLSTICE IS A MAGICAL TIME AND ONE OF MY FAVORITE TIMES OF THE YEAR 🙂

Magical Ways to Welcome the Summer Solstice 2021.
The numbers of lightning bugs will peak as the temperature warms up
with the peak of the season happening around the Summer Solstice of June 21.
“Warm, moist nights are what they like best,” she said. If you want to catch a firefly, she said you can put one in a jar with some grass and maybe a slice of fruit such as an apple.  They like moisture.  She said the insects should then be released where you find them so they can continue their journey looking for a mate.
When you see a flashing insect in your backyard, do you call it a firefly
or a lightning bug? And have you ever wondered if those names refer to two different insects?
Despite their unique names, lightning bugs and fireflies are actually
the exact same thing: a family of flying beetles that communicate through bioluminescent flashes. However, there is a reason for the differing terms—
and it all comes down to where you live.

Are fireflies different from lightning bugs?
Again, lightning bugs and fireflies are the exact same insect.
Adding another layer of confusion, they aren’t even flies at all—as members of the Lampyridae family, the bugs are technically winged beetles.

There are about 170 species of lightning bugs living in North America, according to Firefly Research and Conservation (FRC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the insects. Each species has unique color and
flash patterns, explains Akito Y. Kawahara, Ph.D., associate professor and curator at the Florida Museum of Natural History at the University of Florida, with purposes ranging from mating to carnivorous feeding (more on that later).

Why do they have two different names?
The terms “firefly” and “lightning bug” are the result of distinct regional dialects—and the one you use might actually tell you more about yourself
than the insects.
Researchers from the University of Cambridge asked 10,000 Americans
from around the country this question: “What do you call the insect that flies around in the summer and has a rear section that glows in the dark?” The results showed pretty clear differences in certain parts of the United States.
Roughly 40% of respondents used both terms interchangeably, 30% said “firefly,” and the remaining 30% said “lightning bug.” “Firefly” was most popular in the western half of the country, while “lightning bug” dominated parts of the Midwest, the South, and the Mid-Atlantic. The terms were largely interchangeable around that region, including on the East Coast and in Texas. (Two people said they use the term “peenie wallie”—we can’t explain that one, either.)
Another researcher later found that using “lightning bug” is more common in parts of the country where lightning strikes are more frequent. So although there’s no difference in the bugs themselves, there is a difference between the way we talk in certain places.

Why do these bugs light up?
Looking out at a field of these glowing insects, it’s easy enough to think of
their flashes as just a pretty show—but the true purpose is far more complex. “What’s actually going on is quite amazing,” Kawahara explains. Their bioluminescence comes from a chemical reaction inside their bodies,
and the insects flash for two main reasons: mating and feeding.

Male and female fireflies both flash, but the guys are typically the more active ones. “The males are calling the females using their light flashes,” Kawahara says, trying to woo available ladies with the right pattern and intensity.
On the other end of the spectrum, lightning bug flashes can also be a bit grim. “Predatory females attract males of another species so they can eat them,” Kawahara notes, by tricking them into thinking that a female of their own species is interested in them. “The males don’t know that, and they try to
mate with the female, but they get eaten.”

Do yoga outside.
Start doing your Sun Salutations in the park during the morning hours. Welcome the positive vibes as you stretch and breathe out the energy from last season. An hour before sunset, start a sun ritual.
Dance under the sun with friends or solo. Offer the sun some love. Let the sun know that you feel alive and powerful in its presence.
Have a community cook off or donate food to a charitable organization in
your neighborhood. Connecting with your neighbors and community will set a positive tone for the next few months. Also, giving to those in need will help unify you with others.
Allow yourself to laugh. Summer is a light season that’s associated with fun. Embracing your inner child will allow you to feel as though you’re living your best life. Forget all your worries today and smile.

The best way to embrace the Solstice is to honor the sun. After all, it’s responsible for giving life and power to every living being on Earth.
While lighting bonfires is ideal, it’s not the most eco-conscious way to have fun during the Solstice. However, if you have ways to safely light a mini bonfire, then it’s ideal to sit in front of one with friends and family while embracing the sunny vibes with jovial cheer and libations. Discuss what you want to manifest and let go of in the upcoming days. Remember, this is a chance to start anew. Therefore, it’s important to make sure that you’re bringing in your truth.
Speak about your dreams. Let them be known to ensure they come true.
Summer Solstice occurs sometime between June 20th – 21st in the northern hemisphere. Solstice means the sun stands still and this is because as the sun reaches its highest point in the sky for the few days on and around Solstice the sun appears to stand still in the heavens. It is the longest day of the year, where the night is short and the light reigns. Just imagine how magical this must have been to ancient peoples who worshiped the sun as their God.

The Sun represents the divine masculine and is the giver of life.
Another name for the Summer Solstice is The Cusp of Magic because all the land is bathed in warmth and light and the earth is lush and full of worldly delights. Everyone loves the summertime. It’s a time to play and enjoy the warm season. We also get to enjoy seasonal fruits such as berries, fruit and other delicious treats from the earth. All these things are possible because of the sun and the other elements that generously give to us year after year.

The days are long, the sun is hot, the garden full, and nature buzzes with constant activity. It’s the Summer Solstice – symbolizing fulfillment, abundance, life, energy, and blessings. Often celebrated as Litha, or Midsummer, the Summer Solstice is one of the eight sabbaths on the pagan Wheel of the Year.

Why is Litha called the day of the longest light?
Though Litha marks the zenith of the Sun and the day of the longest light,
it is a day of sadness. From this day forward the Oak King/Sun King will begin to falter and weaken, for with birth comes death, the birth of the Holy King brings the death of the light half of the year and we begin to spiral into the darkness.
Litha marks the longest day of the year, where the sun is at its strongest, and nature fully alive and active. The promise of Imbolc (February 2nd) is finally fulfilled as we bask in long days, warmth, and plenty.

The themes to reflect on during Litha are:

Fulfillment
It’s a good time of year to check in with what makes us feel fulfilled.
Is your hard work paying off? Do you feel fulfilled? Are you enjoying the journey?
Summertime beckons for us to be present and enjoy life, so if something is preventing you from feeling fulfilled and joyful, it’s time to do a gut check
and make some course corrections.

Gratitude
We often associate gratitude – or thanksgiving – with the late summer and
autumn sabbats of Lughnasadh and Mabon.
However, the Summer Solstice is the perfect time to sit back and take in all of the lush beauty of summer – the flowers, the fragrant herbs growing in your garden, the sunlight glinting on the water – take it all in and be thankful for everything you have – no matter how small or insignificant it might be.

Another theme of Litha is joy and happiness.
Summer is often a joyful time, and while current events in the world,
or your present life circumstances might make it difficult to be joyful,
it is possible to find bits of joy and peace if you embrace the present moment.

What truly makes you happy? What brings you joy?
What are the most important things in your life?
Write these down and take time to truly appreciate them.

Better yet, give yourself permission to spend more time doing things you enjoy, and work toward balance between work and play.

Nurturing Our Dreams
Winter is a time for planning and intentions setting,
and we start putting things in motion during the spring.

The summer is a time to tend to and nurture what we want to grow in our lives.
It’s time to balance self-care and rejuvenating play time with the hard work and dedication that it takes to continue the work of fulfilling what we want to manifest in our lives.
Just as the farmer or gardener waters, prunes, and protects their crops,
so too must we protect, grow, and nurture our self-growth and positive, forward direction.

How to Embrace the Upcoming Solstice for a Successful Rest of 2021
BY KELSEY MALONEY

The next solstice is around the corner and for many, it serves as a reminder to realign purposes and offers a fresh start to the back half of 2021. The desire to harness this new wave of energy and channel it towards something productive is common amongst revelers and calls for festivities all over the world.

Although this time of year is widely known for being a powerful astronomical occasion, you don’t have to be an astrologist to honor the change of season and all it has to offer. In fact, this is a great time for everyone to either check in on existing intentions or welcome new ones to help manifest a successful rest of the year.
“The solstice is a culmination of our yearly cycle demarcating a time for
us to celebrate and release the last 6 months so that a new phase can begin,” says Rebecca Gordon, professional astrologer, author of Your Body and The Stars: The Zodiac As Your Wellness Guide, and founder of the 15-year-running My Path Astrology School.

Read on to learn more about the solstices,
plus tips on how you can welcome the new season in your own way.

What is the solstice?
There are two solstices that happen each year, one on June 20 or 21 and the other on December 21 or 22, marking the change in seasons. The upcoming solstice for the Northern hemisphere is the longest day of the year and the day the earth is closest to the sun, making the rise and setting of the sun appear to stop and reverse direction creating the longest day of sunlight.
This is known as the summer solstice. For the Southern hemisphere, where it’s the shortest day of the year, is known as the winter solstice.
Sounds exciting, right? Our ancestors agreed. Deriving from the Latin word, sol, meaning sun and stare, meaning to stand or stop, the solstice has long been a time of sacred celebration with an abundant history varying across cultures all over the world. The Greeks used the occurrence to mark the start of the new year, many Native American tribes commemorated the extra sunlight with sun dances, and the Mayans and Aztecs used the day to build so that the structures would perfectly align with the shadows of the two solstices, summer and winter, to name a few.
In modern culture, the rituals performed across the world on this day can simply serve as a symbol to reflect on our successes from the first half of the year, a reminder to put your health and wellness at the forefront, and a day
to recognize the fullness of life.

How you can celebrate the solstice
If you’ve never celebrated a solstice before, no fear! Whether it’s winter or summer where you are right now, there are plenty of easy ways to make the most of the day. From spending time in nature (if weather permits), to doing
a quick meditation, or setting new intentions and/or checking in on existing ones, are all great places to start.
Set intentions. Setting intentions is a form of self-care that is actinal, such as working meditation into your daily routine, moving your body for 20 minutes a day, or limiting screen time. By setting intentions you’re holding yourself accountable and taking action steps towards growing into your best self on your own terms. Whether your intention is fitness, mindfulness, or nutrition focused, Fitbit Premium can help by revealing patterns in your health metrics, offering hundreds of workouts and meditations, and more.
If you’d like to set intentions, Gordon advises that because “the solstice will occur 10 days after a solar eclipse, our lives will be in flux more than usual.
If you would like to begin anew and set intentions, first you must release what has been to create space in your life.”

Ways you can do this is by cleaning your home,
clearing your mind, and creating the room for realities to manifest.

Put your intentions on display. Write down your intentions then display them in a place you’ll see them every day. You can even set daily reminders on your phone to have them pop up at a certain time of day. This will remind you to stop and take a moment to say your intentions either out loud or in your head.
Meditate. Meditation is a great tool to use to reset focus, address stress levels, and keep your mind present. For the upcoming solstice, Gordon recommends the inner sun meditation, where you envision the sun in your solar plexus (center of chest) and see it’s light radiating in all directions surrounding you. “Remain in this radiance for 11 minutes and only focus on the breath and light emanating from your center,” she says. “This will help you to realign your light with the sun’s power and warmth.”
You can also use your Fitbit Sense to check your stress levels with the 2-minute EDA scan feature or use the Fitbit app to access a variety of mindfulness sessions!
Spend time in nature. Whether you’re in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere, Gordon mentions that it’s best practice to commune with the sun even if it’s cloudy outside. “Go outside and witness the sun at its sacred pivot point,” she says. “Allow it to reflect back to you how you are also now pivoting in your own life. Know that this day is a point of transition and give gratitude.”
