Answer: Many people make the mistake of reading what the Bible says in Exodus 20:13, “You shall not kill,” and then seeking to apply this command to war. However, the Hebrew word literally means “the intentional, premeditated killing of another person with malice; murder.” God often ordered the Israelites to go to war with other nations (1 Samuel 15:3; Joshua 4:13). God ordered the death penalty for numerous crimes (Exodus 21:12, 15; 22:19; Leviticus 20:11). So, God is not against killing in all circumstances, but only murder. War is never a good thing, but sometimes it is a necessary thing. In a world filled with sinful people (Romans 3:10-18), war is inevitable. Sometimes the only way to keep sinful people from doing great harm to the innocent is by going to war.
In the Old Testament, God ordered the Israelites to “take vengeance on the Midianites for the Israelites” (Numbers 31:2). Deuteronomy 20:16-17 declares, “However, in the cities of the nations the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. Completely destroy them…as the LORD your God has commanded you.” Also, 1 Samuel 15:18 says, “Go and completely destroy those wicked people, the Amalekites; make war on them until you have wiped them out.” Obviously God is not against all war. Jesus is always in perfect agreement with the Father (John 10:30), so we cannot argue that war was only God’s will in the Old Testament. God does not change (Malachi 3:6; James 1:17).
Jesus’ second coming will be exceedingly violent. Revelation 19:11-21 describes the ultimate war with Christ, the conquering commander who judges and makes war “with justice” (v. 11). It’s going to be bloody (v. 13) and gory. The birds will eat the flesh of all those who oppose Him (v. 17-18). He has no compassion upon His enemies, whom He will conquer completely and consign to a “fiery lake of burning sulfur” (v. 20).
It is an error to say that God never supports a war. Jesus is not a pacifist. In a world filled with evil people, sometimes war is necessary to prevent even greater evil. If Hitler had not been defeated by World War II, how many more millions would have been killed? If the American Civil War had not been fought, how much longer would African-Americans have had to suffer as slaves?
War is a terrible thing. Some wars are more “just” than others, but war is always the result of sin (Romans 3:10-18). At the same time, Ecclesiastes 3:8 declares, “There is…a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.” In a world filled with sin, hatred, and evil (Romans 3:10-18), war is inevitable.
Christians should not desire war, but neither are Christians to oppose the government God has placed in authority over them (Romans 13:1-4; 1 Peter 2:17). The most important thing we can be doing in a time of war is to be praying for godly wisdom for our leaders, praying for the safety of our military, praying for quick resolution to conflicts, praying for a minimum of casualties among civilians on both sides (Philippians 4:6-7).

First, there was the Treaty of Versailles, which dictated the punishment for Germany after the war. The harshness of the penalties directly contributed to Hitler’s rise to power—and World War II. Without this treaty, Hitler couldn’t have exploited the suffering of the German people or their enormous resentment toward the French. Second, the impact of the war on Britain was devastating. Before World War I, Britain was by far the richest country in the world. But they had agreed to financially support nearly all of their allies. In addition, expenditures for weapons, ammunition, food, and horses transferred nearly all of Britain’s wealth across the Atlantic to the US. Britain lost its position as the world’s greatest superpower during this war, which nearly crippled them financially. During and after the war, independence movements also began. The largest was the Irish independence movement, which succeeded in 1921.
Third, the French suffered hugely because their country was the primary battleground for this conflict. Their economy was shattered after the war. Most of their industrial capabilities were destroyed—with entire regions in ruin. Due to the huge amounts of artillery shells fired, parts of France are still not open because of unexploded shells. Finally, the Russian tsar was overthrown during the war. The high loss of life and crippling financial impact of the war had ignited a revolution. The Bolsheviks seized power, and communism became entrenched in Russia. To end their involvement in World War I, the Bolsheviks signed a peace treaty with Germany in which Russia ceded large chunks of land to Germany. In the turmoil that followed, a civil war ensued in Russia.
With Russia weakened, many states—such as Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland—declared independence from Russia. At that time, the communist state could do little to prevent it.

Downfall: 5 Reasons Why the Roman Empire Collapsed. By Patrick Lynch
There is much debate as to the causes of Rome’s destruction. What we do know is that no single factor can be blamed as it was a combination of problems that led to the demise of one of the world’s greatest empires. It reached its peak under Trajan in 117 AD but ultimately, its size caused all manner of problems. Diocletian split the empire in two at the end of the Third Century Crisis, and by then, it was swiftly heading in the wrong direction. Internal and economic factors helped weaken Rome, and the invading tribes were able to take advantage. Realistically, the empire was finished a long time before the last emperor, Romulus Augustus, was deposed in 476 AD.
German historian Alexander Demandt is an expert in the history of ancient Rome and came up with 210 different theories as to why the empire collapsed! In this piece, I will briefly look at just five possible reasons.
1 – Internal Strife In ‘The History of Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire’, Edward Gibbon had a controversial theory. He claimed the rise of Christianity contributed to the fall of Rome as it bred a ‘turn the other cheek’ mentality. He also claimed the religion valued idle and unproductive people and also led to internal divisions. Gibbon wrote this in the 18th century, and modern historians tend to disagree with his analysis. Gibbon’s claim that Rome was subject to moral decay probably holds more water. In the 2nd Century BC, Polybius wrote of a decline in moral virtue that led to the fall of the Republic. The same affliction appeared to damage the empire. The original ideals, values, and traditions upon which Rome was founded declined and were replaced by a notion that life was cheap and depravity, gluttony, and cruelty were the norm. The advent of the Gladiatorial Games is one such example. Rome developed a ‘mob’ mentality and these individuals needed to be entertained. The rise of slave labor led to a huge number of unemployed Romans who required state handouts. If they became bored, civil unrest and riots followed. The Games were a means of keeping the public in check and consisted of excessive violence and cruelty. The emperors paid for the games which of course mean the state bore the cost. At one point, setting up the Games cost one-third of the Empire’s income as rulers tried to curry favor with the people. The breathtaking incompetence of many of Rome’s emperors was yet another problem. Even those with a cursory interest in Roman history will have heard of Nero and Caligula for example. In the early days of the empire, a good ruler would come around now and then to clean up the mess of the inept leaders before him. Towards the end of the empire, there was a succession of weak and clueless emperors incapable of dealing with the ever-growing number of threats. The Senate acted as an advisory body, but corrupt and power-hungry rulers routinely ignored this advice. Angry senators would plot against the leader and decisions were never made for the good of the empire. The Praetorian Guard were the personal bodyguards of the emperor, but they too became drunk on power. Eventually, they decided who would be emperor and would routinely murder the person on the throne. The Third Century Crisis almost destroyed the Empire and paved the way for its eventual downfall. From 235-284 AD, there were at least 26 emperors and all, but a handful were murdered. Rome’s traditional trade network collapsed during this period so by the time Diocletian brought an end to the Crisis; the Empire was on its last legs.
2 – Economic Deterioration
As is the case with all great empires, Rome was founded on a strong economic foundation. By its peak in 117 AD, the empire spanned approximately 1.5 million square kilometers and was inhabited by around 130 million people. Trade was crucial to the growth of the Roman economy and its outstanding transport system allowed a huge variety of goods to be imported across its borders. However, governing the empire was an expensive task with enormous military, administrative and logistical costs. A combination of several factors resulted in hyperinflation, heavy taxes, a localization of trade and ultimately, a crippling financial crisis. The denarius was the main coin used in the first 200+ years of the empire. When it was created, each coin contained 4.5 grams of pure silver and was the equivalent of a day’s wages for the average craftsman/skilled laborer. Once the amount of precious metals entering the empire fell, fewer denarii could be created. This lack of money didn’t prevent greedy emperors from building ridiculous vanity projects, as they decided to reduce the purity of the coinage. Nero was one of the first emperors to devalue the denarius, and by the time Gallienus took the throne in 253 AD, the coins contained approximately 5% silver and consisted of a bronze core with a thin layer of silver. By 265 AD, the denarius contained 0.5% silver; the result was inflation of up to 1,000% across the empire. By this time, Rome had no more enemies to steal from so taxation was raised. The resulting mess completely paralyzed trade. By the end of the 3rd Century AD, the vast majority of trade was localized with barter methods used instead of the exchange of currency. To make matters worse, the empire faced an intense labor deficit. For centuries, the empire relied on slaves to work as craftsmen and till the fields. In the latter part of the Republic and the first 150 or so years of the Empire, constant conquest meant there was a steady supply of slaves. By the 2nd Century AD, Roman expansion had practically ground to a halt, so the supply of slaves dried up along with the accompanying plunder. Later on, there was a growing humanitarian sentiment within the empire (when Christianity became the main religion) as Romans began to realize that slavery was wrong. A significant proportion of slaves were freed; this exacerbated the labor problem.
3 – The Split Empire
When Diocletian became emperor in 284 AD, he realized that it was no longer possible for one man to rule the vast empire. He made Maximian his co-emperor sometime in 285 AD with the Empire split into east and west; Nicomedia was the original capital although it was changed to Constantinople in 330 AD. From this point onwards, the Senate would be ignored. In the past, it had advised the emperor on matters of state. The power of the empire was supposed to be based on an active military which became a problem when the empire’s military strength waned. Some of the later emperors never even set foot in Rome and while the division offered an initial boost in strength, it ultimately made the Western Empire more vulnerable to attack. Rome had been having issues with Germanic tribes for centuries but was usually able to repel them or buy them off with land, an invitation to join the army or citizenship. The split became permanent in 330 AD. Both halves of the empire prospered equally until the defeat of Eastern Emperor Valens at Adrianople in 378 AD. East and West effectively broke apart due to internal and external problems during the reign of Theodosius I. During his spell as emperor (379-395 AD), the empire’s resources and boundaries became overstretched, and he spent much of his time spreading Christianity and stamping out pagan practices. The Gothic War was mainly fought by Eastern Empire forces, but it weakened the Empire in the West. Theodosius was the last person to rule over a unified empire. Upon his death, the Western and Eastern parts were governed by separate emperors. During the 5th Century AD, certain rulers actually moved the seat of the Western Empire away from Rome with Ravenna and Milan serving as capital at different stages. The split worked well for the East which lasted another 1,000 years but the West completely crumbled.
4 – Weakened Military
At its peak, the Empire stretched from the Atlantic Ocean to the Euphrates River, but its sheer size proved to be a burden. Although the Romans created an excellent transport network, they still found it tough to communicate. Naturally, Rome created a vast array of enemies when expanding its empire, so it was constantly under attack from different tribal peoples eager to seek revenge. Recruiting sufficient troops and sending them to different parts of the empire to quell uprisings started to take its toll. In the 2nd Century AD, Emperor Hadrian built his famous wall in Britain as a means of keeping the enemy at arm’s length. The sheer cost of constant recruitment and military upkeep meant Rome ultimately stopped leading the field in technological advancements.
Gaius Marius’ changes towards the end of the 2nd Century BC significantly contributed to the growth of the Roman army. It became one of the most awesome and well-organized fighting units in the world and was both feared and respected by its enemies. Over time, however, the entire makeup of the army changed dramatically. One method of getting Romans to enlist in the military was by offering a competitive salary. Ultimately, the empire started to struggle to maintain a good rate of pay, so fewer Romans were willing to join. Emperors such as Diocletian and Constantine felt it necessary to hire foreign mercenaries to swell the ranks of the imperial army. These ‘barbarians’ could be recruited for lower pay and the promise of Roman citizenship for service. It got to the point where Romans in the army used the word ‘barbarus’ instead of ‘soldier.’ Eventually, the army was filled with Germanic Goths and other barbarians. While these new recruits were exceptional warriors, they had zero loyalty to the empire. In fact, they increasingly began to turn against their Roman counterparts. The infiltration of mercenaries led to disorganization as the army no longer functioned like the well-oiled machine of lore. The Barbarians gained sufficient knowledge of Roman military tactics to use this information against their enemies. A significant number of the Barbarians that sacked Rome once fought in the Roman army.
5 – Barbarian Migration & Invasion
As I mentioned, the split in the empire made the western part more vulnerable to attacks; a particular point of weakness was the northern Danube-Rhine border. During the 4th Century AD, a significant number of Goths began to settle near the border. Initially, at least, they only wanted to become part of the empire and had no interest in attacking Rome. Their primary concern was getting away from the marauding Huns who were laying waste to northern Europe. Eventually, the Romans allowed Visigoth tribe members to cross into Roman territory, but its governors treated the new arrivals like animals. According to one ancient source, the Romans forced the Goths to put their children into slavery in exchange for dog meat. The irate Goths quickly became fed up with this vile treatment and rose up against their enemy. The Eastern Emperor Valens was defeated at the Battle of Adrianople in 378 AD in an event historians claim was the beginning of the end for the Western Empire. The Romans negotiated a rushed peace treaty, but it was far too late to save their empire. The Goths were promised land in the Balkans, and when it wasn’t forthcoming, they rose up against Rome yet again. The Goths were led by a man called Alaric who once served in the Roman army as a commander. When the Western emperor delayed his response to the initial demands of the Goths, Alaric asked for more. He wanted recognition as citizens of Rome and extra grain for his people. When this was rejected, Alaric took his well-organized army across the Alps and attacked Rome in 410 AD. The incompetent Honorius was emperor at this time and lived in a villa in Ravenna. When Alaric arrived outside the city, he bided his time until Roman supplies ran low. Then he launched his attack and sacked the city over a three-day period. Alaric left the city with 13 tons of silver and two tons of gold. Although he died soon afterward, Rome was just waiting to be sacked once again. More Germanic tribes such as the Saxons and Vandals were able to quickly take Roman territories such as Spain, North Africa, and Britain. Attila the Hun was one of many barbarians to damage the empire, and he invaded Italy in the 450s AD. By 475 AD, only Italy remained as part of the Western Roman Empire. The sad decline was neatly summed up by the events of the final day of the empire. A barbarian named Odovacar was able to walk into Rome unopposed in 476 AD, and he dethroned Romulus Augustus. He contacted Zeno, the emperor of the East, explained that he would not accept the title of ‘emperor.’ To make things clear, Odovacar even brought the traditional clothing of Roman Emperors with him to Constantinople. All the people that haven’t earned anything yet in life wanting everything for free. About like my early years in life sliding my lunch pails on ice every winter knowing we would get a new one the following year. Instead of our parents making us brown bag it. That outlook sounds self serving: but it got me a new lunch pail for school. But does that selfish thought form unpatriotic kids for generations to come. You should read The 1619 Project. It makes complete sense why young people hate the U.S. if they are taught garbage in school and colleges by brainwashed / propagandized liberal teachers. And the quiet infiltration of socialism in our schools. This included at all levels from elementary thru high school and most colleges. All the while teaching the younger generations you’re nothing unless you go along with their beliefs. So often I hear younger people wanting to abolish the Constitution of the United States and The Electoral college. Because they feel it’s an antiquated system that lets a few small states speak for the rest of the country. They feel we should use the popular vote if we want to achieve what the majority of Americans want. So we can become the United States of California. With California, being the beacon of light in fiscal responsibility and equal opportunity. Ugh not!!! This would mean individual states will no longer have power like they do now. There are plenty of republicans living in California but it’s still considered a blue state because the city outnumbers the rural people and their votes carry more power than the rest of the state. The will of the people should elect our presidents, not the on EC. I beg to different There’s a reason why renting a U-Haul out of California costs 4 times as much as renting one for moving in. They don’t ask you where you’re taking a U-Haul. You just rent one. Most U-Hauls rented in California are just going someplace else in California. If renting them IN California costs more, it’s because the economy is better, and people have more money. The smaller states that get the most attention every year in an election year. Are those that can swing either red or blue. Overall Switzerland is still considered by 36 other countries to be the best country in the world, overall. In South Dakota, which leads the nation in new virus cases per capita, officials say they can no longer have one-on-one conversations with all who may have been exposed. When the coronavirus first erupted in Sioux Falls, S.D., in the spring, Mayor Paul TenHaken arrived at work each morning with a clear mission: Stop the outbreak at the pork plant. Hundreds of employees, chopping meat shoulder to shoulder, had gotten sick in what was then the largest virus cluster in the United States. That outbreak was extinguished months ago, and these days, when he heads into City Hall, the situation is far more nebulous. The virus has spread all over town. “You can swing a cat and hit someone who has got it,” said Mr. TenHaken, who had to reschedule his own meetings to Zoom this past week after his assistant tested positive for the virus. As the coronavirus soars across the country, charting a single-day record of 99,155 new cases on Friday and surpassing nine million cases nationwide, tracing the path of the pandemic in the United States is no longer simply challenging. It has become nearly impossible.
Gone are the days when Americans could easily understand the virus by tracking rising case numbers back to discrete sources — the crowded factory, the troubled nursing home, the rowdy bar. Now, there are so many cases, in so many places, that many people are coming to a frightening conclusion: They have no idea where the virus is spreading. Mayor Paul TenHaken of Sioux Falls, S.D., was first worried about an outbreak at a pork plant, but now the virus has spread everywhere. “It’s just kind of everywhere,” said Crystal Watson, a senior scholar at the Center for Health Security at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, who estimated that tracing coronavirus cases becomes difficult once the virus spreads to more than 10 cases per 100,000 people. A testing site in El Paso, where hospitalizations in the county have soared by more than 400 percent and officials issued a new order for residents to stay at home. IN some of the hardest-hit spots in the United States, the virus is spreading at 10 to 20 times that rate, and even health officials have all but given up trying to figure out who is giving the virus to whom. There have been periods earlier in the pandemic when infections spread beyond large, well-understood clusters in prisons, business meetings and dinner parties, tearing through communities in ways that were nearly impossible to keep track of. But for the most part, that experience was isolated to hard-hit places like New York City in the spring and portions of the Sun Belt in the summer.
This time, the diffuse, chaotic spread is happening in many places at once. Infections are rising in 41 states, the country is recording an average of more than 79,000 new cases each day, and more Americans say they feel left to do their own lonely detective work. “I was so careful,” said Denny Taylor, 45, who said he had taken exacting precautions — wearing a mask, getting groceries delivered — before he became the first in his family and among his co-workers to test positive for the virus. Lying in a hospital bed in Omaha this past week, he said he still had no idea where he caught it. Uncovering the path of transmission from person to person, known as contact tracing, is seen as a key tool for containing the spread of the coronavirus. Within a day or two of testing positive, residents in many communities can expect to get a phone call from a trained contact tracer, who conducts a detailed interview before beginning the painstaking process of tracking down each new person who may have been exposed.

Monto, a professor of epidemiology at the University of Michigan, who said the process of tracking cases and notifying people who may have been exposed is a standard of disease prevention but impractical after a certain level of infection. “If you have five clusters going on at the same time,” he said, “it’s hard to say where it came from.” When a first major outbreak hit Grand Forks, N.D., in April, the problem was clear: More than 150 employees of a wind turbine blade factory were infected. The factory shut its doors for several weeks, and public health officials tested and contact traced each case. For the rest of the summer, Grand Forks, a college town of 56,000 on the border with Minnesota, saw almost no new infections.
An uptick in August was quickly tied to students at the University of North Dakota and largely contained. Now, though, any sense of control has vanished. Active cases of Covid-19 have quadrupled since the beginning of October to 912 in Grand Forks County, and about half the people contacted by the health department say they are not sure how they became infected. “People are realizing that you can get it anywhere,” said Kailee Leingang, a 21-year-old nursing student who also works as a state contact tracer in Grand Forks. Even Ms. Leingang has fallen ill, along with several of her colleagues. She traces her case to her parents, who first started showing symptoms. Beyond that, the trail goes cold. “They have no idea,” she said of where her parents came in contact with the virus. Ms. Leingang, isolated at her home with her cat, feels sicker by the day. Dishes have piled up in the sink — she is too weak to stand long enough to wash them. But she is still working, calling at least 50 people a day to notify them that their tests came back positive, though her job is no longer to track who else they may have infected. “With the high number of cases right now,” she said, “our team can’t afford to have somebody not work.”

The argument about Pope Francis is not confined to economics; it goes to the very heart of Catholic teaching: What is the Church for? Are its priests glorified social workers who assist the vulnerable and marginalized. Or are they spiritual guides who, through liturgy and rituals, promote individual salvation? It is a tribute to the pope that the answers to these questions suddenly engage American shock-jocks and English economists as well as ordinary Catholics. Suddenly, a church that was increasingly irrelevant is leading a fundamental argument about social and economic policy. This is all because of a charismatic man who delights and disconcerts in equal measure. Much of the world is pulling for Francis to work miracles as he takes on the curia to make the Church more responsive to criticism and amenable to change. To some, that sounds like someone too eager to rock the boat. But, looking back at the horrors that have emerged and the innocents let down by complacency and secrecy, few Catholics can honestly say the Church is not due for reform, and most believe Francis has been sent for that purpose. If Francis can change the institution he leads, that won’t be socialism — it will be a miracle.

To mask or not to mask, that is the question. The idea is that to wear a mask, or to practice social distancing, suggests a communal spirit of togetherness. On the other hand, to decline to wear a mask or to avoid gathering is to signal one’s independence from the herd, a kind of bold individualism that’s woven into Every Americans DNA. According to the US National Academy of Sciences, in community settings [1]“face masks are not designed or certified to protect the wearer from exposure to respiratory hazards.” [2] Another study showed that surgical masks do not provide protection for aerosols ranging from 0.9-3.1 µm. Think about it. There is a virus going around that attacks the respiratory system, and people want to put a mask on that limits the oxygen flowing through their respiratory system. Forcing healthy people to become immune suppressed by constantly wearing masks that recirculate exhaled CO2 waste and deplete optimal oxygen uptake, is at best misguided, at worst criminal, given the known data. Oh yeah, don’t attack and insult those who have chosen not to wear a mask, as the studies suggest that is the wisest choice to make.

But you could be in for a long road to recovery. If you have chest pains, shortness of breath, or severe dehydration go to the hospital. When you get a virus your body builds up antibodies to fight it. Those antibodies stay in your system, helping you ward off future infections (this is how vaccines work.)
However, not everyone makes enough antibodies and they can wear off over time, which is why some need booster shots of some vaccines. In addition, viruses can mutate making your antibodies ineffective against new strains. Some viruses including those that cause herpes, Covid-19 and AIDS, can be spread via asymptomatic people (they never had symptoms) and presymptomatic (they don’t have symptoms yet.) According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), some people may even be “superspreaders” infecting hundreds of others without even knowing it. While it’s highly unlikely anyone will take you to court for spreading the flu around the office (stay home when you feel ill.) Obese people are 42% more likely to get the flu than those that aren’t obese because it affects your immune system, according to the Journal of Infectious Disease. Viruses don’t just infect your chest and sinuses — According to a Study in the New England Journal of Medicine, “it also causes widespread inflammation throughout your body. That can increase your risk of developing blood clots that can trigger a heart attack.”

Who for some with mild cases, this may be the only symptom and it’s more likely to appear in younger people he says. It’s not clear what causes it, but the disease provokes a profound inflammatory response throughout the body that could somehow impede the functioning of the senses. Researchers speculate that this may be due to increased inflammation, lack of oxygen, an autoimmune response or a clotting disorder triggered by the virus.

The fabric of our society produces “drama queens”, with no empathy. What really matters is you — My theory is that they actually believe that their belief system is superior to any others and that if you don’t agree with it, or have your own thoughts on a subject, then something is wrong with you. It’s a product of our mass-marketed, fast food, instant everything society. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. I review conservative nonfiction books. However, every once-in-a-while, I may review a fiction book. As long as it’s on the right side of the aisle, I’m cool with it. You could call THE HARVEST, published in 2007 by John David Krygelski, to be religious science fiction or a religious thriller. Take your pick. This incredible book is, not only, spiritual and philosophical, but also, scientific, and conservative.
Novelist Krygelski is a semi-native of the southwestern desert. Besides THE HARVEST, he has authored many novels, including THE MUTATUS NULLIFICATION, THE MUTATUS PROCEDURE, THE AEGIS SOLUTION, and more. In THE HARVEST, we’re introduced to a figure who magically appears on Earth. He looks like a human male with thick white hair and blue eyes. We soon learn that his name is Elohim, and he claims to be The Creator, otherwise known as God. (Elohim means “God” in the Hebrew Bible.) The U.S. government is perplexed by Elohim. They want the famous Religion Professor Reese Johnson, who recently left the stranglehold of leftist Harvard to teach his courses at the University of Arizona, to authenticate Elohim. Most importantly, Elohim says he has come to Earth to take the Chosen to Heaven in five days.
Sound familiar? Yes, but we’re not talking about Revelation. THE HARVEST is not the Bible; it’s not a substitute for the Bible, and it’s not a study guide for the Bible. It’s a work of fiction.
In fact, if you haven’t read the Bible, but you want to, consider making it a New Year’s goal. Also, I recommend for women (because I am a woman) the Women’s Devotional Bible. There’s a reading plan that will take you through the entire year, plus there are devotions throughout the book written by women. Getting back to THE HARVEST, because it is not some famous book discussed on a show like “Hannity” or “Tucker Carlson,” you may not have seen it or read it before. So I don’t want to ruin anything for you. What I will say is that when The Creator appears, Krygelski takes you through what could happen. Even though this is fiction, none of it seems unreasonable as we follow the course of events and the way people respond to who Elohim is, what he does, and what he wants. He speaks every language; he performs miracles; he knows what you’re thinking, and if you’re the Chosen, he wants to take you to Heaven.
In THE HARVEST, nobody who discovers they are the Chosen goes to Heaven against their will, and you could find yourself in a situation where you are the Chosen, but your spouse, for example, is not. Will you go or will you remain? It’s an exciting adventure for conservatives who believe in God and who respect conservative principles. Is it biased? or Are the villains leftists?
However, if you’re a conservative, none of that is going to offend you. What you will find is that Elohim’s words of wisdom will make you think about yourself and life in general. “If you believe that you should be of the Chosen and find that you are not, I ask that you blame no one, other than yourself, because no single person on Earth has faced an unfair test,” says Elohim. This aligns with the conservative view of personal responsibility, a view that’s important to me. It makes me think of a quote by Gina Florio, a personal trainer, wellness coach, and a manager for Candace Owens. She says, “No matter what life throws at us, the result is in our hands. So yes, your life is your fault and the decisions you have made. My life is my fault…so don’t blame me for your life.” THE HARVEST is an adventure, but it’s not one you should rush through. It’s over 400 pages. In today’s society, that could be a turn-off. People are busy with their phones, the internet, and video games. Books with a lot of words and pages are becoming a thing of the past. But this book is far from boring. If it takes you two weeks, a month, or six months to read it, that’s okay. As I said on Twitter, savor it like a fine wine. THE HARVEST contains vivid mental images, religious depictions, and scientific information that will sit with you. You may even dream about them.

With capitalism a boss owns you 40 hours+ of your week. We the people should control our workplace. We the people should control the creation of the items which fulfill our material needs. We the people should control industry, economy, and policy. We the people should control the world. As capitalism forces one to find living wage employment from a private employer or die, it is the antithesis of freedom. Capitalism undermines democracy. Among the points that Jesus states is that “if you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have a treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” His statement that “it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God” is especially telling, since the idea that a rich person would have to give up his possessions to enter heaven does not fit with capitalist thinking at all. Jesus also tells his followers that that they should not “serve both God and money” (Matthew 6:24)[[2]]) or “store up treasures on Earth” (Matthew 6:19)[[3]] There’s also an instance, which is also one of his greatest miracles, in which Jesus uses five loaves and two fishes given to him by a boy in order to feed a multitude. He states that he has “compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way.”

She is known for her two best-selling novels, The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged, and for developing a philosophical system she named Objectivism. Born and educated in Russia, she moved to the United States in 1926. She then produced a play on Broadway in 1935 and 1936. After two early novels that were initially unsuccessful, she achieved fame with her 1943 novel, The Fountainhead. In 1957, Rand published her best-known work, the novel Atlas Shrugged. Afterward, she turned to non-fiction to promote her philosophy, publishing her own periodicals and releasing several collections of essays until her death in 1982.
