Kelley is an herbalist, owner of alternative and holistic health boutique Sunshine Organic Herbals, and medical THC oil-maker whom when she was based in Truckee, CA. Kelley created small batches of ultra-concentrated THC extract oil which medical marijuana patients use for conditions ranging from auto-immune disorders, to pain, to sleep problems, to cancer and beyond. In this exclusive EWAO interview Kelley shares some tricks of the trade and insider experiences from her years creating and providing this liquid gold to her clients as well as some compelling firsthand stories for how THC oil has brought healing and rejuvenation to a variety of real life health concerns.
.
Kelley states, Years ago I was enrolled in an herbalism symposium and decided to take a medical marijuana course from a well-known doctor. Mind you I was on the East Coast at the time in a state where cannabis was still very criminalized so this was a kind of hush hush subject to most. I was excited to actually get to learn in an environment where my curiosity would be welcomed. I was completely blown away by all of the info I learned, but best of all I befriended many people whose lives had been changed by the plant. From that day on I immersed myself in getting to know the plant in deeper ways than just the typical uses people associate with the plant.
.
THC oil also called cannabis oil can be used for many different ailments and health issues. Most commonly it is used for cancer treatment and also for controlling seizure disorders. Insomnia ,anxiety, and stress can be alleviated from use of the oil as well. It can also be used for relief from conditions where pain and/or inflammation present themselves, whether it is a chronic or acute issue.
.
I have also observed the oil working complimentary with conventional medical treatments to relieve common side effects such as pain, nausea, appetite suppression, insomnia, etc. It is even helpful for everyday issues such as headache, back ache, and menstrual cramp relief. In the past, I encountered a patient who used it to relieve the intense nausea and pain associated with a stomach bug. I feel like the uses are endless with this product.
.
As for the psychoactive indications of the oil, that all depends on the patient, tolerance, and the health issue that is being treated. I do work one on one with each individual to find out what works best for their system to avoid euphoria if needed. That being said sometimes a little bliss can open a whole new world of physical healing in the body.
It seems like there are lots of people talking about the oil now and there is lots of information circulating around the internet in regards to creating this medicine.
I personally feel like everyone needs to do their own research and find a trusted creator to obtain the medicine or a well educated mentor to learn how to create the medicine for themselves. There are a few personal rules I would like to pass along though.
Know your plant material. Either get it from a reputable source or grow it yourself. You don’t necessarily need any of these high profile medical marijuana strains so don’t get hung up on getting on a waiting list for a specific strain. Are some plant strains better than others for certain issues? Of course, but hey if you can only obtain or grow A,B, or C right now. DO IT. Don’t suffer because you have been told you need this one specific plant strain.
Only use high quality ingredients for your solvent or make sure your oil creator is using high quality ingredients. I am an herbalist by nature and wouldn’t make any of my plant remedies whether cannabis or chamomile with any questionable ingredients. Some recipes and oil makers are calling for naptha, isopropyl alcohol or butane. I find that to be a ridiculous and dangerous way to make a healing remedy. We are trying to cure health issues here not create new ones, right?
I just wanted to say you can get 200 proof alcohol online Extractahol or Organic alcohol. com carry it. Is what I used when I was making herbal tinctures and cannabis oil. https://www.extractohol.com/https://organicalcohol.com/
I think since I am in the business that I am in, I do not come across people that are too resistant. Most people come to me in a last ditch effort to heal themselves or a very ill loved one and are completely fed up with the medical establishment. At that point they are very open to natural healing modalities. You may be surprised to hear I had tiny children on the oil all the way up to grandmas and everyone in between. I know many people feel patients get their medical marijuana recommendation just because they are “potheads.” I laugh at that statement. I can tell you right now neither the child or that grey haired grandma fit that description at all.
One of my favorite patients is a child who was on 5 different seizure medications a few months ago. Suffered from 100’s of seizures a day and was developmentally delayed due to it. Since being on the oil for a couple months, this child is now on NO seizure medications and engages with his family . He tells his mother he loves her without being prompted, she NOW has her little boy back.
Another is a late stage cancer patient suffering from severe side effects from medical treatments. This person had no quality of life. Could not play with his children and was in and out of the ER on a regular basis due to pain, complications, and infections. He was on the highest doses of every prescription pain reliever you could think of. After being on the oil he is no longer on the prescription meds and can enjoy his life and children again. His family is so unbelievably grateful for the oil. They have hope in a world where the medical community gave them none.
These miracles I encounter on a daily basis due to cannabis oil.
Questions and Answers ???
Does THC oil have the potential to be addictive?
Kelley: Well in most cases where it is said that cannabis is addictive it have been taken out of context by people with an agenda against the plant As in the case where they say stopping cannabis use may cause irritability, sleeplessness, decreased appetite, anxiety, and drug craving. What if you were using the cannabis oil as a medicine for sleeplessness, anxiety and decreased appetite, and you stopped your medicine? Wouldn’t you have a “drug craving” for cannabis to help you feel better again? Wouldn’t you have “irritablility” since you are tired from having “sleeplessness” and hungry from “decreased appetite”?
EWAO-Talk to me about dosing. For a person wanting to benefit from the health and healing factors of THC oil, what is the recommended dose, how often, and for what period of time?
Kelley: Everyone is different in dosing. It all depends on the person, and their health issue. It is extremely concentrated so you start with a piece the size of a tiny grain of rice. That’s why it is best to do your research and work very closely with a trusted person. I am always available personally to anyone anytime I am working with, that way its individualized and their doses work most effectively.
EWAO- do you think eventually the cannabis plant will be legalized in all the states?
Kelley: I have a theory on that. I feel like it will be legalized on the government’s terms, Such as isolating certain CBDs from the plant and making THAT legal and not making the whole plant legal. That way big pharma can get their hands involved and make a drug from the isolated constituents. They are only interested in the money making part of legalizing it and bastardizing the medicine. They don’t care about curing anything, there is no money in a cure.
EWAO-are there any benefits of using THC oil that are surprising or were unexpected even by you?
Kelley: I am never surprised by the amazing healing powers of the oil , but the results of using it in skin products was a little unexpected. Of course … it can be used topically for skin issues such as skin cancer, psoriasis and eczema, but making it into cleansing or moisturizing beauty products was a really cool experiment that I have been very pleased with. “CANNABIS the new high end beauty product available at Macys”.
EWAO- How has THC oil affected your life and health?
Kelley: It has affected me deeply by being able to help so many people and families take control of their health and get their lives back . I am so honored and blessed to be able to work firsthand with the plant to create a product that has touched so many people on so many levels . I go to bed every night and wake up every morning in complete awe of the oil and the power it holds.
EWAO- How would you compare the experience of using pure THC oil vs. smoking or otherwise inhaling the plant material in vaporized or other form?’
Kelley: I don’t use the plant in any other ways but tincture and oil. I am older so even when I did partake in smoking, vaporizing wasn’t available. So I am probably not the best to ask about the experience. I do know with the oil, it’s a much more comparable experience to an edible cannabis product.
EWAO- Who, in your experience and opinion, can benefit from THC oil? Is it for everyone?
Kelley: So many people can benefit from the oil in one way or the other.
EWAO- Is THC oil beneficial simply for physical health problems, or can it also be therapeutic for issues related to emotions and mental disorders as well?
Kelley: Certainly, it can help people when they have emotional issues across the board. Some oil can energize the brain which may be helpful for issues such as depression or moodiness. Some oil can relax the brain which can be helpful for anxiety or racing thoughts.
EWAO- As an herbalist, how does THC oil compare, therapeutically speaking, to other medicinal herbs you cultivate or work with?
Kelley: Cannabis is more expensive, sometimes illegal to obtain, and can be harder to cultivate than most herbs. Other than that is works in the same manner as most herbal medicine in the way that it natural and meant for us to be used to alleviate health issues.
Everything on the Earth has a purpose, every disease an herb to cure it, and every person a mission. This is the Indian theory of existence. ~ Mourning Dove, Christine Quintasket(1888-1936) Saiish

When”i” is replaced by “we” — “illness” becomes “wellness”
Bud Romine was diagnosed with incurable cancer in 1994. He was given three years to live. In 1996 a newspaper article caught his eye.The article described the work of a local doctor, Brian Druker, who was testing a new kind of cancer drug. In 1997, months away from death, Bud Romine became the first patient ever to take Gleevec.
Within 17 days, Bud had returned to perfect health. Indeed, the drug seems to cure everyone with Bud’s disease — Chronic Myeloid Leukemia — by fixing the DNA that causes it. Today, the prospect of more drugs that work at the level of DNA is a real one. In 1990, Gleevec was the only one in development. There are currently hundreds of drugs in development that might work in the same revolutionary way on different kinds of cancer.
The final work for the DNA scientists is identifying all the damaged genes that cause cancer. But with the Human Genome Project finished, a single lab will be able to do this in just five years. Fifty years after Crick and Watson discovered the double helix, the secret of life may finally be living up to its name.
For Any Type Treatment to Work: I believe one must address the underlining issues that will hold them back from true healing. My favorite treatments: Hyperthermia, Mistletoe and Laetrile Injections.
Crazy Sexy Cancer is a documentary film created by actress/photographer Kris Carr. The film premiered on March 11, 2007, at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival, and had its US television premiere on August 29, 2007, on TLC. The film was edited by Pagan Harleman and Brian Fassett. The music was composed by Matthew Puckett.
The film tells the story of Carr’s battle with epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE), a vascular cancer in the lining of the blood vessels in her liver and lungs so rare that only 0.01 percent of the cancer population has it. Around 200 to 300 cases are diagnosed in America every year – the cause is unknown.
Carr’s struggle with cancer begins after a visit to the doctor, following a particularly difficult yoga class. Initially thinking it was a yoga-related injury, Carr is devastated to learn she has a rare form of cancer, epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE). From the doctor’s explanation, her liver has so many tumors it looks like Swiss cheese. EHE is so rare, it is only diagnosed 200 to 300 times a year, or to about .1 percent of the population. Characteristics of the cancer include a tumor that rarely metastasizes and is very difficult to diagnose. eHAE is unresponsive to any known strain of chemotherapy, making treatment very difficult.
As with Kris Carr, it is “most often an incidental finding in young asymptomatic women.” Despite its rarity, Carr is told that her tumors are not behaving aggressively, and so her doctor advises that she “watch and wait” for two months before having more tests to determine whether the tumors change, grow, or remain the same.
Despite the grim prognosis, Carr refuses to accept her sickness as an end to her life, and sets out to explore alternative methods with which to fight her cancer. After her doctor recommends she start taking care of her body with diet and exercise, Carr is determined to “take that crumb and turn it into a cake.” Her first stop out of the doctor’s office is a shopping trip to the organic grocer Whole Foods. Her careful and precise monitoring of her food intake allows her a sense of control which she finds comforting.
Shining a Spotlight on Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma: The cancer is so rare that research funding is scarce and little is known about its natural history. Although localized epithelioid hemangioendothelioma can be surgically resected, there is no effective therapy for systemic disease, and mortality from the cancer ranges between 13% and 18% when confined to soft tissue. ((( life expectancy in metastatic cases is unpredictable and ranges from a couple of months to 15 to 20 years.)))
I know it is possible to defeat this disease.… My goal is to ensure that my son and the thousands of other epithelioid hemangioendothelioma survivors won’t have to die from this cancer, maybe just with it. —Jane Gutkovich
MercyMe When their hit song, “I Can Only Imagine” crossed into mainstream radio, the story behind the song was as popular as the tune itself. MercyMe frontman Bart Millard wrote the song after his dad died of cancer as a way to deal with his grief and sense of loss. People assumed that the two men had always been close. Now, it turns out that Bart’s dad was abusive until getting diagnosed and turning his life over to the Lord.
Bart tells the story that his dad was an abusive father up through his freshman year in high school. When he found out that he had cancer, his whole life changed. He committed himself to Christ and one of the few “old things” to go was his abusive ways. “He kind of fell in love with Christ and he went from the monster to the guy I wanted to be like when I grew up,” Millard shared. For the next five years, the two were very close, a bond that Bart referred to as “best friends.”
While Bart is a lot older and wiser now, emotional scars from years of abuse lingered. A song that he wrote for the band’s latest album, Welcome to the New called “Dear Younger Me” lays it out there and serves as a gentle reminder to victims of abuse that the burden of guilt doesn’t lie with them. His story itself is a reminder too … even though bad things can happen in this life, they’re not set in stone, nor are they forever. God can (and often does) turn lives around and that leads to much better results. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLnI-9tORYA

As a cancer patient, you may have received a lot of information about your treatment and your journey to recovery. Chemotherapy and radiation cause many changes in the body as they destroy cancer cells. ‘Your Health’ with Dr. Richard and Cindy Becker Show. Dr. Blaylock M.D. discusses his book ‘Natural Strategies For Cancer Patients’ and offers crucial advice for those suffering from cancer and or going through chemotherapy and its side effects. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4i51V6ITdDohttps://www.amazon.com/Natural-Strategies-Patients-Russell-Blaylock/dp/0758202210
One major change is that these treatments weaken your immune system, which can increase your chances of getting an infection, including a fungal & candida, viral or bacterial infection and Lyme disease if heaven forbid a tick would bite you. https://www.cdc.gov/fungal/infections/cancer-patients.html
Graviola and its Role in Cancer Treatment
The anti-cancer properties of this fruit have been a topic of research over the past 40 years. Since the 1970s, more than 20 laboratory studies have been conducted on graviola-derived compounds. These studies have shown that graviola may have the potential of destroying malignant cells in 12 different types of cancer including prostate, breast, lung, colon and pancreatic cancers. Although test-tube and animal research demonstrates that graviola may be an anti-cancer agent, there have been no clinical trials or studies in humans, and therefore the use of graviola for cancer treatment remains a topic of debate.
In 1996, research published in the Journal of Natural Products showed that compound 1 (one of five extracted from the seed of the graviola fruit) was “selectively cytotoxic to colon adenocarcinoma cells (HT-29)” and “10,000 times stronger” in inhibiting cancer growth than the chemotherapy drug adriamycin. In 1997, a study published in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry suggested that graviola showed better results in destroying breast cancer cells than chemotherapy. Studies conducted at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center have proved graviola extract to be effective against both breast cancer and liver cancer. A cell study in 1999 showed graviola had anti-prostate cancer and breast cancer activity; another 2002 cell study showed that graviola exhibited anti-hepatoma (liver cancer) activity. Studies performed at the University of Nebraska found that graviola inhibited the growth of pancreatic cancer cells.
In 2011, the journal Nutrition and Cancer revealed highly promising research on graviola and breast cancer. Researchers found that graviola fruit extract (GFE) suppressed expression of a breast-cancer causing oncogene known as epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) in animal models. According to the researchers, “a 5-wk dietary treatment of GFE (200 mg/kg diet) significantly reduced the protein expression of EGFR in breast tumors by 56%…. Overall, dietary GFE inhibited tumor growth, as measured by wet weight, by 32%.”
Perhaps the best finding from the studies is that graviola extract acts only upon cancer cells and does not harm the healthy growth of normal body cells. This finding is also supported by Leslie Taylor, author of The Healing Power of Rainforest Herbs, who stated that the inhibitory action of graviola was found to be effective only in the cancerous cell membranes and not on the healthy ones.
Conclusion
Many of the health benefits of graviola are thought to be derived from its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antiviral effects; however, before you go out and buy the product, keep in mind that consumption of graviola has also been associated with adverse effects. Because the plant has not yet been researched in humans, we don’t know much about how graviola affects the body. Graviola is a very strong natural fruit that should be ingested with care.
If you are considering taking graviola, be aware that the plant can dilate blood vessels and lower blood pressure, so those whose blood pressure is already low, or are already on medication to reduce hypertension, should consult their physician before taking graviola. Laboratory research has found that some substances in graviola can cause nerve damage and that these substances can cross into the brain from the bloodstream. Alkaloids extracted from graviola may cause nerve dysfunction and degeneration, leading to symptoms similar to those of Parkinson’s disease. Graviola may also lower platelet counts and decrease the uptake of radiopharmaceuticals used in nuclear imaging. While eating the fruit may be okay in moderation, until we learn more, we caution especially against taking a concentrated graviola supplement.
The use of graviola to fight cancer has been strongly debated. Medical experts have warned about the use of the fruit to treat cancer while scientific researchers have been trying to prove its efficiency in cancer treatment. Though graviola research is still in the nascent stage, its promising anti-cancer properties cannot be neglected and will hopefully encourage pharmaceutical companies to conduct more research to prove its worth and efficacy.

Therefore You Must Activate YourWithin: These range from getting sleep to fixing and getting rid of underlying infections like Lyme, yeast, or viruses.
In this article I describe the basic steps you should take to fix these problems.
Take These Steps From The Beginning to The End!!!!
1. Sleep
(Use either a natural medicine or prescription medicine. Do not mix natural medicines and prescription medicines together as a first treatment but you can do so later.)
Natural medicines:
(You can mix these two together or use in combination with the prescriptions medicines if needed.)
L-Theanine 100mg 1 to 6 pills a night 1 hour before bed. Do not exceed 1200 mg a day if using for nerve pain or anxiety during the day too. Excessive amounts in the day are very sedating, AND/OR
Herbal Combinations. 1 to 4 pills 1 hour before bed. (Common herbs in sleep combination pills include valerian root, hops, yams, wild lettuce, l -theanine, and others.)
Prescription medicines:
Zolpidem (Ambien) 10 mg 1 pill 30 min before bed (Use if your primary problem is getting to sleep. It is short acting.) AND/OR
Clonazepam (Klonopin) 1 mg .5 to 2 pills 30 min to 1 hour before bed. (Use if your primary problem is staying asleep. If you have both a falling and staying asleep problem try Ambien first.)
Atarax or Vistaril hydroxyzine (Hcl) Symptomatic relief of anxiety associated with psychoneurosis and as adjunct in organic disease states. 50-100 mg divided q4-6hr. Unlike benzodiazepines, hydroxyzine is non-habit forming and does not cause tolerance, withdrawal, or memory impairment. https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/anxiety-help/201111/anti-anxiety-medications-explained
Additional Options:
See Sleep 101: The Basics for more information about sleep hygiene and additional herbal and/or prescription options.
Rationale:
Sleep is often disturbed in chronic Lyme disease. Lack of adequate sleep worsens pain, increases fatigue, and suppresses the immune system. It appears that in response to infection, the excess inflammatory cytokines produced by the immune system decrease the output of sleep inducing hormones to the sleep centers of the brain. A restorative amount of sleep is 7 to 9 hours of sleep a night. Sleep in the few hours before midnight is most restorative.
Curcumin is an effective scavenger of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reactive nitrogen species in the test tube (18, 19). However, it is not clear whether curcumin acts as a direct antioxidantin vivo. Due to its limited oral bioavailability in humans (see Metabolism and Bioavailability), plasma and tissue curcumin concentrations are likely to be much lower than those of other fat-soluble antioxidants like α-tocopherol (vitamin E). Yet, curcumin taken orally may reach sufficient concentrations in the gastrointestinal tract and protect the intestinal mucosa against oxidativeDNA damage (11). In addition to a potentially direct antioxidant activity, curcumin can induce the expression of phase II antioxidant enzymes, including glutamate-cysteine ligase (GCL), the rate-limiting enzyme in glutathionesynthesis. Glutathione (GSH) is an important intracellular antioxidant that plays a critical role in cellular adaptation to stress (20). Curcumin was found to upregulate the expression of GCL through the activation of different signaling pathways(21). In particular, curcumin increases the expression of GCL and other detoxifying enzymes via the activation of the nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2)-dependent pathway. http://lpi.oregonstate.edu/mic/dietary-factors/phytochemicals/curcumin
Cytokines are inflammatory chemicals made by the immune system in chronic Lyme disease. Lowering them with curcumin and antioxidants found in a good multivitamin (Part 5.) will help correct many problems and limit Herxheimer die-off reactions. See Herxheimer Die-off Reactions: Inflammation Run Amok for more information and additional herbal medicine options.
On the one hand cytokines are good because they turn on the immune system. They perform a number of functions that include:
making antibodies work more effectively,
increasing active white blood cells to fight infections,
recruiting white blood cells to the location of an infection,
turning on white blood cells to fight infections, and
decreasing viral and bacterial replication.
On the other hand in chronic Lyme disease the immune system makes too many cytokines which is bad. Too many cytokines:
suppress the immune system,
cause pain,
decrease hormone production from organs like the thyroid and the adrenal glands,
disturb sleep,
decrease brain function,
increase fatigue and tiredness,
waste muscles, cause depression, and
decrease the function of various organs throughout the body resulting in many other symptoms and medical problems.
At the beginning of treatment or when antibiotics are changed the cytokines are made in even greater amounts causing a person to feel much worse. This is called a Herxheimer die-off reaction.
Part 3. Adaptogen
Natural medicine:
In an interview I found with Dr. Vetvicka on his website, he was asked: “So if I had cancer, or if I wanted to avoid it, which beta glucan should I buy?”
Dr. Vetvicka has more than 20 years of research, 200 peer-reviewed publications, seven books, and five international patents. Dr. Vaclav Vetvicka is the world’s leading researchers on beta glucan and s member of the American Association of Immunologists. He is currently the head of the pathology department at the University of Louisville and researcher at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. Dr. Vetvicka research and books are mostly focused on the topics of the immune system, cancer, and beta glucan.
In a nutshell, an Adaptogen is an herbal substance that helps adjust the body’s response on the cellular level to various stresses put upon it. This results in a regulating effect on many of the body’s systems, including the immune system, nervous system, endocrine system, cardiovascular system and mental functions.
Reported effects of Adaptogens are an increase in mental clarity and physical energy, enhanced immunity and resistance to disease, and reduced recovery time after exercise. Other reported effects are an improved metabolism and more restful sleep.
Because Adaptogens help the body adapt to difficult circumstances, they are beneficial in reducing anxiety and tension, helping a person feel more relaxed and focused in stressful situations. Adaptogens are not taken to correct a specific health problem; their purpose is to assist in improving overall health and well being.
Adaptogens (also known as are herbal tonics) are claimed to have the most broad-spectrum healing properties of any herbal medicines, and have the ability to increase the body’s non-specific resistance to illness arising from stress to the neuro-endocrine system.
Maca root (lepidium meyenii) is an adaptogen and a member of the cruciferous family, like broccoli and cabbage, but due to it’s unique properties it considered one of the world’s natural “super foods.” Maca is grown high in the mountains of South America, mainly in high altitude regions of Peru. https://draxe.com/top-5-maca-root-benefits-and-nutrition/
Adaptogens are unique and help the body adapt and deal with many stressors. Maca is grown in the mountains of South America and has been used in history for balancing hormones and improving libido.
Maca Benefits:
1) Naturally balance hormones • Issues relating to hormones ⁃ PMS, menopause and PCOS • Helps lower cortisol (high stress hormone)
2) Infertility • Balances hormones & helps reproductive organs of men and women
3) Naturally improve testosterone in men • Other resources about increasing testosterone: http://draxe.com/7-steps-increase-tes…
4) Boost energy levels • Issues relating to decreased energy ⁃ Chronic fatigue or adrenal fatigue https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwBq2FVL–8
Rationale:
An adaptogen is a substance that helps the body deal with the harmful medical and emotional stress of being ill. Adaptogens have been used for centuries in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine with great observed benefit. Based on animal experiments ashwagandha improves energy, immune function, and adrenal and thyroid function. It likely has additional beneficial effects that have not been researched.
(Start with the natural medicine or prescription medicine. Do not use both together in the first treatment, but you can do so later if the symptoms of low adrenals persist.)
Natural medicine:
Ashwagandha 400mg 1-2 pills in am and 1-2 pills between 1 to 2 pm. Taking late in the day may disturb sleep.
Prescription medicine:
(We rarely use this because there is a very small risk of immune suppression using prescription hydrocortisone. However, the doses we recommend are the normal amounts the adrenal glands should make. On the other hand, ashwagandha is a supportive herb that does not suppress the immune system but helps the adrenals work better.)
Cortef 5 mg 1 to 2 pills in am and 1 to 2 pills between 1 to 2 pm. Taking late in the day may disturb sleep.
B. Low Thyroid
Natural medicines:
(Some recommend iodine but too much can make thyroid conditions worse. Rather than taking iodine use a good multivitamin recommended in Part 5 to provide the essential micronutrients the thyroid requires.)
Prescription medicine:
Dessicated Thyroid 1⁄2 grain or Armour Thyroid 1⁄2 grain 1 pill in the morning 30 min before anything else and on an empty stomach with water only. Increase every 3 to 4 weeks by 1⁄2 grain if low thyroid symptoms persist.
Rationale:
A person could have normal range testing for each of the hormones but still have clinically low hormones. Because of the unreliability of testing, treatment for low hormones should occur if there are clinical symptoms of low hormones as long as treatment does not increase hormone levels above the upper end of normal. Hormones provide many functions in the body. Proper levels improve energy and help the immune system to work more effectively.
Low hormones occur often in chronic Lyme disease. Inflammatory cytokines made by white blood cells to fight Lyme decrease the effective functioning of an area of the brain called the hypothalamus and pituitary. This part of the brain produces chemicals that induce sleep and that regulate hormonal systems. Normally this part of the brain releases messengers such as thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), adrenocorticotropin hormone (ACTH), and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) to stimulate the thyroid, adrenal glands, and sex hormone organs respectively. Because of the dysfunction caused by the cytokines, these regulatory messengers are released based on an incorrect interpretation by the brain of the hormone environment. Thus measurements of these messengers is an unreliable way to determine the hormone status. Another way to check hormone status is to measure the actual hormone levels like T4/T3 (thyroid), or cortisol/dhea (adrenals), or estrogen/progesterone/testosterone (sex hormones). These tests give a broad range of normal however.
Symptoms:
Adrenal Insufficiency: fatigue, recurrent infections, poor recovery from infections, low blood sugar with shakiness and irritability relieved by eating, low blood pressure and dizziness on standing, afternoon crashing, and sugar cravings.
Low thyroid: fatigue, achiness, low body temperatures averaging below 98.0 F, cold intolerance, weight gain, constipation, and changes in menstrual periods.
Understanding the causes of hormone imbalance will empower us to prevent them, and at the same time, feel better, think better, and better prevent breast cancer. Normal breast cells and some breast cancer cells contain receptors that attach to estrogen and progesterone. These 2 hormones often fuel the growth of breast cancer cells. … Cancer cells may have neither, one, or both of these receptors. Hormone balance with adequate bioidentical progesterone may save your life.
Part 5. Essential Micronutrients
Natural medicine:
Multivitamin. Use a vitamin that has numerous amino acids, antioxidants, minerals, and various vitamin Bs including b12 and folate. We prefer vitamin powders from Thorne and Integrative Therapeutics. See the multi-vitamins our patients use at Marty Ross MD – Tara Brooke ND Supplements.
Rationale:
To heal and feel better requires a multivitamin with an essential set of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants. A good multivitamin improves functioning of the immune system, muscles, brain and nerves, hormones, organs including the kidney and liver, detoxification, and decreases inflammation. It also protects the body from the toxic effect of prescriptive antibiotics.
We now know that this Calcium Paradox is not a paradox at all.
It is simply based upon ignorance of the way in which calcium is utilized in the body. Calcium’s actions are not at all paradoxical. It is a team player. Calcium cannot do the many essential jobs that it does to keep virtually every cell in our bodies, not just our bones, functioning healthfully, unless calcium has the help of two team players, two vitamins: vitamin D and vitamin K2. We absorb calcium actively with the help of vitamin D. When we don’t have enough vitamin D present, we absorb less than 15% of the calcium either from food or supplements. But vitamin D only helps us absorb calcium. That’s only half the story. Vitamin D does nothing to regulate where the calcium we absorb from our intestine goes once it gets inside the bloodstream. And for that we have to have vitamin K and specifically vitamin K2.
Vitamin K2‘s job is to activate the proteins that escort calcium into our bones and keep it out of soft tissues like our blood vessels and heart. The vitamin K2 activated protein that puts calcium into our bones is called osteocalcin.
And the vitamin K2 activated protein that keeps calcium out of our blood vessels is called matrix Gla protein.
So you need both vitamin D to help you absorb calcium and you also have to have enough vitamin K2 around to make sure that that calcium you’ve absorbed goes into your bones where you want it and is kept out of your arteries where you don’t want it. If you just take supplements that contain only calcium all by itself or even contain calcium and vitamin D, the end result, when you don’t have K2 around, is that you are going to lose bone, promoting the development of osteoporosis, and calcium is going to be deposited in your blood vessels, causing them to harden or calcify. And this will greatly increase your risk for a heart attack or stroke. But it’s not a paradox. https://www.algaecal.com/expert-insights/calcium-paradox-its-history-and-what-it-really-means/
Since ancient times, tea has been used as both beverage and medicine. Both black and green teas contain numerous active ingredients, including polyphenols and flavonoids, which are potent antioxidants.
One class of flavonoids called catechins has recently become the focus of widespread study for their anti-cancer potential. Tea is the best source of catechins in the human diet, and green tea contains about three times the quantity of catechins found in black tea.
Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), also known as epigallocatechin-3-gallate, is the ester of epigallocatechin and gallic acid, and is a type of catechin. EGCG, the most abundant catechin in tea, is a polyphenol under basic research for its potential to affect human health and disease.
In laboratory studies, green tea has been shown to slow or completely prevent cancer developent in colon, liver, breast and prostate cells. Other studies involving green tea have shown similar protective effects in tissues of the lung, skin and digestive tract.
Studies that track the diets of human subjects over several years (particularly studies conducted in Asia, where green tea consumption is common) have also associated regular usage of green tea with lower risk for bladder, colon, stomach, pancreatic and esophageal cancers.
High doses of vitamin C can help treat cancer, scientists find
High doses of vitamin C injected into the blood stream could help treat cancer, new research from scientists suggests.
Injecting patients with a dose 1,000 times higher than the recommended level could target tumour cells and make radiation and chemotherapy more effective.
Scientists gave eleven brain cancer sufferers regular dosages of vitamin C every week for nine months while receiving typical radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
Tests showed the extra vitamin – usually found in oranges, green vegetables, broccoli and strawberries – made cancer cells more susceptible to treatment.
It also appeared to be safe, producing mild side effects such as frequent bathroom trips and a dry mouth.
The research, published in the journal Cancer Cell, showed that iron in the tumours reacted with the vitamin to form destructive “free radical” molecules which selectively caused only cancerous cells to die.
The safety study sets the stage for larger Phase II trials investigating whether high-dose vitamin C injections can extend the lifespan of cancer patients.
US researcher Dr Garry Buettner, from the University of Iowa, said: “This paper reveals a metabolic frailty in cancer cells that is based on their own production of oxidizing agents that allows us to utilise existing redox active compounds, like vitamin C, to sensitise cancer cells to radiation and chemotherapy.”
Diet changes are quickly reflected in the colon when your butyrate production is high your cancer risk is low…
The idea that diet can influence colon cancer risk isn’t new. What’s surprising in this study is how quickly a change in diet altered conditions in the colon.
Colon cancer is the fourth leading cause of death from cancer around the world. It claims more than 600,000 lives each year. It is more common in some areas and less common in others. These differences reflect the influence of race, ethnicity, diet, physical activity, and other factors on the development of colon cancer.
In rural Africa, 5 out of 100,000 blacks develop colon. In the United States, 65 out of every 100,000 blacks develop the disease. That 13-fold increase isn’t likely to be explained by genetic differences.
You don’t need to follow a traditional African diet to help prevent colon cancer. Here are some dietary changes that can help:
Eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables.
Choose whole grains, and foods made from them, instead of highly refined grains.
Eat more beans and less red and processed meat.
Get enough vitamin D through sunlight, diet, pills or all of these.
PositiveTip: Unrefined carbohydrates in whole grains, fruits, and vegetables provide the major nutrients your body needs, aid in weight loss, and promote colon health.
Most diet advice comes wrapped up in the same disappointing package: Make small changes, stay consistent, and wait a loonnggggg time to see results. But a recent study in Nature Communications shows that changing your diet can have an effect on health way sooner than you’d think: We’re talking just two weeks.
That’s what researchers from University of Pittsburgh and Imperial College London found when they swapped the high-fat diet of 20 African Americans for the high-fiber diets of 20 rural South Africans. It took just 14 measly days for the high-fiber African diet to dramatically reduce markers for colon cancer risk in the Americans. And for the rural South Africans, two weeks on a high-fat American diet had an equal but opposite effect, greatly increasing chances for colon cancer.
Why? Researchers credit these big benefits to dietary fiber, specifically a type of fiber called resistant starch, or RS. It’s found in high concentration in a corn porridge known as phutu—a staple of the rural South African diet—as well as in foods like oats, lentils, and unripe bananas. RS is not digested by the body, so it has no caloric value, and research has already linked it to lower colon cancer risks.
How can one starch have such a big effect? Researchers found that the high-RS African diet decreased cell multiplication in the colon, which makes the lining of the colon less vulnerable to environmental carcinogens. Plus, the African diet more than doubled the participants’ levels of butyrate, a natural byproduct produced by fiber breakdown that helps prevent cancerous masses from forming in the colon.

Stephen O’Keefe, a professor at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, had noticed during his medical practice in South Africa that his patients’ colon health was chronically excellent: They rarely had polyps upon colonoscopy, and they rarely had colon cancer at all. In contrast, in the U.S., colon cancer is the second leading killer of all cancers, and African-Americans have the greatest risk of all groups in the U.S. Previous studies have shown that it takes just one generation for people who immigrate from non-Western countries to assume the cancer risk of America. Though the culprit is strongly believed to be the change in diet, it could theoretically be other things, like cigarettes, chemicals, infections, and antibiotics. Therefore, O’Keefe and his team wanted to see what would happen if South Africans and African-Americans switched diets for just two weeks.
So they had 20 people in each country, aged 50-65, assume the diet of the other. The Americans ate the typical low-fat, high fiber diet of South Africa: Foods included hi-maize corn fritters, salmon croquettes, and spinach, red pepper and onions for breakfast; hi-maize corn dogs or veggie dogs, homemade tater tots, and mango slices for lunch; and okra, tomatoes, and hi-maize meal; corn muffins, black-eyed peas, pineapple and black tea for dinner. Meanwhile, people in South Africa ate an “American” high-fat, low-fiber diet: Foods included beef sausage links and pancakes for breakfast; hamburger and French fries for lunch; and meatloaf and rice for dinner.

A compound found naturally in broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables may reduce some of the harmful effects of Type II diabetes in overweight adults, according to new research by Jed Fahey, a nutritional biochemist and an associate professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and a team of researchers in Europe and the United States.
An article on the findings appeared in the journal Science Translational Medicine in June.
Fahey, who is director of the Cullman Chemoprotection Center at the medical school, served as an author of the study along with colleagues based in Sweden, Switzerland and elsewhere in the United States.
Fahey’s predecessor as director of the research center, the renowned pharmacology professor and experimental generalist Paul Talalay, isolated the compound sulforaphane as a phytochemical (a chemical produced by plants) in the early 1990s.
Two years later, Talalay made international headlines — and sparked broccoli sales around the world — by demonstrating the compound’s effectiveness in boosting the body’s ability to resist cancer.
He and Fahey also showed that broccoli sprouts — three- to four-day-old broccoli plants — have 50 to 100 times the cancer-fighting power as the mature stalks typically sold in grocery stores.
Popular Science called the findings among the top 100 scientific discoveries of the 20th century, and researchers at Hopkins and elsewhere have since tested the chemical’s effectiveness in helping the body fend off pathologies from autism and osteoarthritis to Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.
Research has shown that sulforaphane, by its very molecular makeup, has an unusual effect: it accelerates the body’s production of a common but important protein known as Nrf2.
The job of Nrf2, in essence, is to regulate the creation of antioxidants that repair stressed, damaged or decaying cells.
A shot of sulforaphane kicks the creation of those antioxidants into overdrive, bolstering at the cellular level the body’s capacity to resist a wide range of malfunctions.
“This molecule [Nrf2] is responsible for shouting out to cells, ‘You’re in trouble; you’re being attacked by sunlight, by ultraviolet light, by toxins. You’ve got to up your game, you’ve got to enhance your protective strategy,'” Fahey said. “Nrf2 is a crucial regulator, and sulforaphane is one of the most potent inducers of that regulator.”
Though the study was comparatively small and short-term, the results are tentatively promising for the treatment of diabetes.
“This shows that sulforaphane is useful not only for cancer prevention, however, but it demonstrates anti-diabetes and many other activities,” said Fahey, who spent 15 years in the biotechnology industry before joining the Hopkins faculty at Talalay’s invitation in 1993.
Iron: The Double-Edged Sword
Elemental iron is essential for cellular growth and homeostasis but it is potentially toxic to cells and tissues. … Epidemiological evidence links increased body iron stores to increased cancer risk. High intake of dietary iron is associated with an increased risk for some cancers, particularly colorectal cancer.
Iron encourages the formation of cancer-causing free radicals. Of course, the body needs a certain amount of iron for healthy blood cells. But beyond this rather small amount, iron becomes a dangerous substance, acting as a catalyst for the formation of free radicals. Because of this, research studies have shown that higher amounts of iron in the blood mean higher cancer risk.
Once excess iron is absorbed by the digestive tract, the body stores it.
Most of us accumulate much more iron than we need. In spite of the advertising from iron supplement manufacturers, “iron overload” is much more common in America than iron deficiency. Studies have shown that major contributors to iron excess are taking vitamin and mineral supplements that contain iron, excess consumption of red meat, and, to some extent, eating manufactured foods that have had iron added artificially. The iron present in these sources is highly absorbable.
The iron in red meat, in particular, is a highly absorbable form (heme iron); however, iron from vegetarian food sources (nonheme iron) may prove to be a better choice because, while it isn’t absorbed as well as heme iron, it is sufficient to promote adequate iron levels without encouraging iron stores above the recommended range. A diet of grains, vegetables, fruits, and beans provides adequate iron, without the risk of overload.
In a recent six-year study of 1,277 Veterans Administration Hospital patients with vascular disease, but no history of cancer, half the patients were randomly assigned to standard of care and half to the same care plus measured blood drawing to reduce iron levels to those present normally in premenopausal women and children. Analysis showed a 37 percent reduction in overall cancer incidence with iron reduction and reduced cancer-specific and all-cause mortality among patients who developed cancer in the iron-reduction arm compared with those in the control arm.2
Unfortunately, the body has no way to rid itself of excess iron. However, iron accumulation to levels that produce cancer can be prevented by avoiding excess iron in the diet (as indicated above) and by giving blood. This altruistic act of giving blood can have health benefits for the donor as well. Menstruating women lose iron-rich blood monthly and have ferritin levels that average about 25 mcg/l. Delayed iron accumulation because of menstruation is believed to explain why women generally live longer than men. It also explains why cancer risk is lower in premenopausal women compared to men of similar age and why cancer risk soars in women following menopause when iron levels rise dramatically. Men and women who live to very old age characteristically have body iron levels closer to those in menstruating women, presumably because of lifelong, relatively low dietary iron intake.
Part 6. TreatYourInfections.
Ultimately to get rid of fatigue, you have to get rid of your infections.
At the beginning of treatment this means treating Lyme (borrelia), babesia, bartonella, and intestinal yeast.
Later in treatment at 6 months and beyond this can include viral infections. For more information see our chapters How to Diagnose and Infection Treatment Plans.
Next Steps: Six Months and Beyond
If energy and fatigue do not greatly improve by six months, it is time to fix the energy factories found in every cell. These are called mitochondria.
In chronic infections, the outer covering of the mitochondria get damaged. To fix this problem see Power Up! Energy and Mitochondria.

I try my best to educate people that the human body has a natural ability to detoxify itself. In fact, the body has several systems in place for removing waste. The excretory system plays the largest role in detoxification. The most obvious job of this system is defecation and urination. The main organs that compose the excretory system are the skin, liver, lungs, large intestine, and kidneys.
You may be surprised to learn that your skin is part of your excretory system, but it’s true—the skin aids in elimination through the sweat glands. The purpose of sweat is to regulate body temperature, but it’s a multifunctional system. When sweat passes through your sweat glands, it takes toxins with it.
The roles of the other organs are just as important. It’s the liver’s job to filter and excrete waste, hormones, drugs, and other foreign substances. The lungs help remove carbon dioxide (the waste gas resulting from breathing). The large intestine has several important jobs. It absorbs water and remaining nutrients from food. It also converts waste into stool to be expelled from the body through defecation. The kidneys filter the blood and help remove waste from the body through urination.
The entire body relies on this system to live a healthy life. Your body is detoxifying itself all the time, around the clock, 24/7. Even your brain flushes out toxins while you sleep. It’s essential to take care of these organs and allow them to do their job. https://www.globalhealingcenter.com/natural-health/6-ways-to-body-detox/
Why Are We Missing Trace Minerals?
Obtaining the necessary nutrients and minerals from the typical modern diet is nearly impossible. Over the past generation, the quality of our food and its production methods has dramatically reduced the once ideal and complete balance of nutrition we need to thrive. One of the important, yet small components to that healthy balance is the spectrum of trace minerals our cells need to function and flourish.
Perhaps you recall an elementary science lesson where your teacher explained how the universe contained all the matter it ever would—no more and no less matter exists today than at the beginning of time. In the natural order of our planet, resources are transferred in many ways. Like the typical water cycle transfers water from sky, to ground, and up to the sky again, the trace minerals that once enriched the soils around the planet have also moved. But trace minerals do not have the unique properties of water. Once they leave the soil, there is no natural mechanism for returning them back to their native location.
Over many years weather, natural disasters, and human farming techniques have brought the majority of deeply embedded trace nutrients to the soil’s surface. The result is that rain, floods and other transfer methods have washed away the nutrients. Since we know they did not disappear, it is simply a matter of knowing where to look to retrieve them once again. Select regions containing the run off of washed away surface soil are now collective storehouses of trace minerals that all creatures require for maximum health and longevity.
Health Basics: How do food preservatives cause cancer?
Sunday, July 13, 2014 by: S. D. Wells
(NaturalNews) The term food preservatives sounds quite positive, and if you don’t look any deeper than the surface, it’s a good thing. It means the food that’s packaged in boxes, bags, jars and cans has a longer shelf life, before mold, mildew, bacteria and fungi kick into high gear and start breaking down the food, changing it’s structure, color and, most of all, its nutritional value. But look deeper, into the science of “preservatives,” and you will find some quite ominous information, and you will forever see the term as something that can affect your life expectancy and lead to something that starts with the letter “c” from which one in every three people suffer.
The same “preservatives” that prolong the shelf life of food also shorten human life. How? Human cells need oxygen. Certain preservatives choke your mitochondria, depriving them of oxygen.
Chemical food attack
There are over 20 “cousins” of MSG, including hydrolyzed soy protein, autolyzed yeast extract, soy protein isolates and maltodextrin. They are all glutamate blockers. There are many drugs on the market that claim to treat LTD, long term depression, that block glutamate as well. The great contradiction lies in the fact that what is being treated is triggered by glutamate and aspartic acid found in aspartame. Do you think some evil pharmaceutical company came up with the idea to poison the public with a synthetic sweetener and then treat that poisoning with more chemicals? Well they did. That company was called “Searle,” and Donald Rumsfeld can tell you the story, or Google.
MSG and depression
MSG increases blood levels of free glutamic acid, which lowers dopamine levels, affecting depression on many levels. Until recently, U.S. troops were fed MSG in MREs — the meal rations of every single meal. It was required. Perhaps all those suicides should be investigated under this light.
Sodium benzoate causes DNA damage!
Sodium benzoate is a mold inhibitor found in soft drinks like Pepsi and Coke and most jarred goods like pickles and sauces. It deprives human cells of oxygen, breaking down the immune system and fueling cancerous cells to multiply and begin their “takeover.”
This can be found in products that are labeled “All Natural.” Though benzoic acid is found in low levels in fruits, the kind you find in the ingredients lists that’s used as a preservative is synthesized in a lab and is carcinogenic. This additive is derived from a reaction with sodium hydroxide and gets transported to the liver, but the liver struggles to handle it. This “preservative” can completely shut down your mitochondria, invoking DNA cellular damage in this lifetime, contrary to what science believed for nearly a century. Sodium benzoate combined with vitamin C or E can cause benzene to form. That’s a whole other research paper on cancer. Some scientists believe that sodium benzoate can be tied to Parkinson’s disease. (http://www.naturalnews.com)
You see, although sodium benzoate occurs naturally in cranberries, apples and cloves, that’s only about 40 mg/kg. Used as a preservative though, you’re getting around 2,000 mg/kg. The tests that the FDA supposedly ran on the safety of sodium benzoate date back to the 1960s and 1980s — so it must all still be true, right?
The silent evil – cancer food
Industrial food preparation and processing is the silent evil causing most human health detriment known in the USA right now. Preservative and additive are nasty, cruel words that translate into cancer for humans. Watch out for sucralose and sorbitol, both artificial sweeteners used to keep products soft longer and as emulsifiers. They cause IBS and cancer as side effects! Also watch out for BHT and BHA, as well as Big Food industry slogans like “For added freshness” and “As a preservative” — which mean your cells will be choking. Don’t choke your cells. Don’t eat cancer and it won’t eat you.
Go 100% organic and filter food toxins from your daily intake, startingrightnow!!!
Because the soil where our food is grown no longer contains these minerals, the extraction and formulation of trace mineral supplements has become crucial.
Benefits of Trace Minerals
Yet another school lesson involved memorizing the Periodic Table—the complete list of known elements—includes the trace and ionic minerals necessary for life to exist. Since our bodies use these elements daily, it is vital that we regularly replenish the supply in order for all our body systems and responses to function properly. The regular intake of trace minerals supports the body in proper physiological function and can ward off health problems. Trace minerals are required for numerous body functions and processes including enzyme function, thyroid regulation, glucose absorption, blood clotting, tissue formation, the transportation of oxygen in red blood cells, detoxification and much more. A deficiency in any single trace mineral can result in an imbalance of other minerals and halt the benefits, making the body vulnerable.
An example of imbalance is an overly acidic environment – the conditions where harmful organisms thrive and duplicate and can cause a variety of health issues from fatigue to chronic health conditions. However, the proper amount and balance of trace minerals encourages a healthy pH balance or alkaline environment, where only healthy cells and bodily functions can thrive.
The Essential Trace Elements1
There are over seventy known trace minerals, yet the scientific community has just begun learning about the importance of trace minerals—and how they interact with human systems. Researchers are learning more every day about which trace elements are needed to establish and keep a healthy balance, and what health issues could result from a mineral imbalance. We know that a huge percentage of Americans have some level of mineral deficiency and that this imbalance can manifest itself in symptoms as simple as food cravings or as debilitating as ongoing fatigue.
Here is a glimpse at the important roles played by just a few of the trace minerals we require to function and maintain a healthy and long life.
Boron — helps to reduce inflammation and degeneration, improves bone growth and maintenance, assists with central nervous system function, promotes healthy cell growth, contributes to hormone facilitation, and supports immune response and oxidative stress modulation.2
Chromium — enhances the cells’ ability to absorb glucose, stimulates fatty acids, and synthesizes cholesterol3
Cobalt — promotes the formulation of red blood cells and serves as part of B-12
Copper — supports red blood cell and connective tissue formation, stores and releases iron to form hemoglobin, and contributes to central nervous system functions
Iodine — assists with thyroid function, controls how quickly the body uses energy and makes proteins
Iron — transports oxygen in red blood cells
Manganese — key to enzyme systems; supports brain function
Molybdenum — part of enzyme systems; detoxification processes
Selenium — an antioxidant that combines with Vitamin E and protects cells from free radicals
Zinc — provides enzyme functions such as nucleic acid synthesis, helps immune function, and promotes insulin storage
The Importance of Ionic Minerals
Every second of every day your body relies on ionic minerals, minerals with a positive or negative electric charge which allows them to bond with water and be absorbed by the body. Ionic minerals conduct and generate billions of tiny electrical impulses that are a vital part of muscle function—including that of the heart. These minerals help your brain to function and the cells to use osmosis to balance your water pressure and absorb nutrients. To ensure you are getting the ionic minerals and electrolytes your body needs, only choose ionic mineral supplements or supplements that contain ionic minerals. Due to the previously discussed depletion of many of these nutrients in the soils used for farming, we can no longer rely on a healthy diet to ensure consumption of each of these trace minerals. This is where adding a quality supplement comes into play.

Potassium is an essential mineral micronutrient and is the main intracellularion for all types of cells. It is important in maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance in the bodies of humans and animals. Potassium is necessary for the function of all living cells, and is thus present in all plant and animal tissues. It is found in especially high concentrations within plant cells, and in a mixed diet, it is most highly concentrated in fruits. The high concentration of potassium in plants, associated with comparatively very low amounts of sodium there, historically resulted in potassium first being isolated from the ashes of plants (potash), which in turn gave the element its modern name. The high concentration of potassium in plants means that heavy crop production rapidly depletes soils of potassium, and agricultural fertilizers consume 93% of the potassium chemical production of the modern world economy.
The functions of potassium and sodium in living organisms are quite different. Animals, in particular, employ sodium and potassium differentially to generate electrical potentials in animal cells, especially in nervous tissue. Potassium depletion in animals, including humans, results in various neurological dysfunctions. Characteristic concentrations of potassium in model organisms are: 30-300mM in E. coli, 300mM in budding yeast, 100mM in mammalian cell and 4mM in blood plasma.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potassium_in_biology
Normal ion channels perform vital cellular functions such as electrical and chemical signaling, regulation of cytoplasmic or vesicular ion concentration and pH, and cell volume regulation. They also maintain mitochondrial polarization, which is essential to the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the molecule that acts as the medium of energy exchange for all cells. Dysfunctional ion channels are known to be key elements in a panoply of diseases, including epilepsy, cardiac arrhythmia, cystic fibrosis, kidney stones, hypertension, and various retinal, hearing, and skeletal-muscle diseases.4
Further investigation by the team revealed that the substances involved in the ion channel damage contained various mixtures of two size classes of peptaibols—one 11-residue peptaibol and eight 20-residue peptaibols. Peptaibols are secondary metabolites formed by certain fungi that have been generally known for many years to alter ion channels in membranes.5
After culturing T. longibrachiatum for 5 days at 37˚C (top left), a fluorescence micrograph of cells (top right) shows oval spores separating from the branching hyphae; the spore nuclei are visible as bright blue spots, while the red fluorescence indicates diffusely spread nucleic acids. A field-emission scanning electron microscopic image (bottom) shows ultrastructural details of the fungal hyphae and two raisin-like spores. Courtesy of Maria A. Andersson, Mari Raulio, and Mirja Salkinoja-Salonen
The team discovered that the peptaibols acted synergistically, with greater damage caused by isolates in which the two classes were combined. In toxicity tests, the half-maximal effective concentration of combined peptaibol classes was 5–25 times lower than that of single classes. Channels remained open about twice as long after exposure to combined classes, compared with exposure to a single class.
Salkinoja-Salonen says her team coined the term “trilongins” (“trilong-” is from “Trichoderma longibrachiatum,” and “-in” is the suffix for any peptaibol toxin) for the specific sets of peptaibols they identified to distinguish the unique group effect from that of single peptaibols. She says she and colleagues are working on additional studies investigating other fungal species, health end points, and toxins.
Boar sperm cells are good for studying mitochondria and mitochondrial toxins because the tail of the sperm contains many mitochondria that produce ATP, which is thought to power the flagellum, says Harriet Ammann, a toxicologist in Olympia, Washington, and a member of the committee that produced the 2004 U.S. Institute of Medicine publication Damp Indoor Spaces and Health.6“Inhibition of motility is a sign of decreased or abolished mitochondrial function,” she explains.
Ammann points out that the documented mitochondrial effect could be critical since it indicates that a key function, energy production, could be significantly impaired. “Disabling of mitochondria could have widespread deleterious effects across systems, leading to greater susceptibility to infectious disease, an effect of this fungus already documented,” she says. In addition, she says, Trichoderma species produce other toxins with different mechanisms, which in all likelihood also work either additively or synergistically with peptaibols.
Identifying the ion channel damage pathway is important because there is little in the way of effective remedies for human trichodermal infections. “To my knowledge, treatment of [fungal-related] ion channel effects has not been developed,” Amman says. The only viable recourse for now, she adds, is to avoid exposure, saying that the new findings provide greater impetus to keep indoor environments dry and clean.

Yoga calms the mind. But when it comes to stress relief, not all yoga poses are created equal…
The gut’s brain or the “enteric nervous system” is located in the sheaths of tissue lining the esophagus, stomach, small intestine and colon. Considered a single entity, it is a network of neurons, neurotransmitters and proteins that zap messages between neurons, support cells like those found in the brain proper and a complex circuitry that enables it to act independently, learn, remember and, as the saying goes, produce gut feelings.
The Gut Brain Connection
Have you ever had a “gut-wrenching” experience? Do certain situations make you “feel nauseous”? Have you ever felt “butterflies” in your stomach? We use these expressions for a reason. The gastrointestinal tract is sensitive to emotion. Anger, anxiety, sadness, elation – all of these feelings (and others) can trigger symptoms in the gut.
The brain has a direct effect on the stomach. For example, the very thought of eating can release the stomach’s juices before food gets there. You remember drooling over something that looked amazing like a birthday cake or a nice plate of food. This connection goes both ways. A troubled intestine can send signals to the brain, just as a troubled brain can send signals to the gut. Therefore, a person’s stomach or intestinal distress can be the cause or the product of anxiety, stress, or depression.
This is especially true in cases where a person experiences gastrointestinal upset with no obvious physical cause. For such functional GI disorders, it is difficult to try to heal a distressed gut without considering the role of stress and emotion.
That’s because the brain and the gastrointestinal (GI) system are intimately connected.
Scientists call this little brain the enteric nervous system (ENS) as mentioned above. And it’s not so little. The ENS is two thin layers of more than 100 million nerve cells lining your gastrointestinal tract from esophagus to rectum.
Researchers are finding evidence that irritation in the gastrointestinal system may send signals to the central nervous system (CNS) that trigger mood changes.
These new findings may explain why a higher-than-normal percentage of people with IBS and functional bowel problems develop depression and anxiety. That’s important, because up to 30 to 40 percent of the population has functional bowel problems at some point.
Research suggests that digestive-system activity may affect cognition (thinking skills and memory), too.
Another area of interest: Discovering how signals from the digestive system affect metabolism, raising or reducing risk for health conditions like type 2 diabetes. This involves interactions between nerve signals, gut hormones and microbiota-the bacteria that live in the digestive system which is a fascinating subject in itself.
Stress and the functional GI disorders
Given how closely the gut and brain interact, it becomes easier to understand why you might feel nauseated before giving a presentation, or feel intestinal pain during times of stress. That doesn’t mean, however, that functional gastrointestinal illnesses are imagined or “all in your head.” Psychology combines with physical factors to cause pain and other bowel symptoms. Psychosocial factors influence the actual physiology of the gut, as well as symptoms. In other words, stress (or depression or other psychological factors) can affect movement and contractions of the GI tract, make inflammation worse, or perhaps make you more susceptible to infection.
In addition, research suggests that some people with functional GI disorders perceive pain more acutely than other people do because their brains do not properly regulate pain signals from the GI tract. Stress can make the existing pain seem even worse. If you carry stress in your gut it’s important to keep stress managed.
With this in mind, you might expect that at least some people with functional GI conditions might improve with therapy to reduce stress or treat anxiety or depression. And sure enough, a review of 13 studies showed that patients who tried psychologically based approaches had greater improvement in their digestive symptoms compared with patients who received only conventional medical treatment.
This is interesting because in Holistic Medicine we look at the “whole person” including emotions as they do play a key role in the healing process. If your mind is not at peace you know your body is not balanced.

Tips for Reducing Stress
We may not be able to control stress, but we can manage it. Here are some stress-management tips that may help you feel better – and less stressed – every day:
Accept that there are events that you cannot control.
Keep a positive attitude; rather than defaulting to negatives (”Nothing goes right for me,” or ”Bad things always happen to me”), give yourself positive messages (”I’m doing my best,” or ”I’ll ask for help”). Keep the glass half full, not half empty. We really do draw in what we say so keep it positive towards others and ourselves.
Halt stress in its tracks; if you feel overwhelmed, take a walk or drive in the slow lane to avoid getting angry at other drivers. Deep Breath!
Manage your time. Give yourself time to get things done; set your watch so you have more time to prepare for an event.
Do things that are pleasurable, like reading or gardening. Hobbies are proven to relieve stress.
Take 15-20 minutes every day to sit quietly and reflect. Learn and practice relaxation techniques like prayer or deep breathing.
Exercise regularly by bicycling, walking, hiking, jogging, or working out at the gym. Your body can fight stress better when it is fit.
Avoid alcohol and recreational drugs. And don’t smoke.
Eat healthy, well-balanced meals.
Get enough rest and sleep. Your body needs time to recover from stressful events.
Seek out social support. We all want to feel loved so the more we surround ourselves with positive people the happier we can be. Remember to avoid the “energy vampires”.
10 Steps to a Healthy Immune System
1. Eat a healthy and well-balanced diet. Giving your body the nutrition it needs to fight infection is one of the best things you can do. Eat organic!
2. Protect yourself from mold. Household mold is a hidden invader that can weaken the immune system and cause respiratory illness, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and other diseases. If you suspect mold, have a professional evaluate your home. And wash or replace pillows and mattresses to remove any hidden mold that you may be inhaling during sleep.
3. Get plenty of restful sleep. Your immune system is busy re-building and repairing itself while you sleep. Your hormones play a key role here as well.
4. Exercise & Detox. Physical activity is not only good for stress as it releases the stress hormone cortisol, it also detoxes the body through urine and sweat.
5. Build up healthy intestinal bacteria. Increase your good bacteria by drinking kefir with live, active cultures and take a good probiotic. Also eat prebiotic foods: root vegetables and beans (fiber), cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cabbage, Bok choy, Brussel sprouts, etc., ), garlic, onion (anti-fungal).
6. Add quality herbs and antioxidants to your diet. Many herbs-including garlic, cinnamon, ginger root, mint leaves, oregano, thyme, turmeric all have the potential to kill off foreign invaders and boost the immune system. Berries and greens are fantastic anti-oxidants. Local bee products (pollen, Propolis and honey) are great to help build the immune system.
7. Reduce Stress – Stress hormones reduce effectiveness of the immune system. Body work is excellent in reducing stress. Massage, acupuncture, etc., Prayer is very effective.
8. Stay Hydrated – Decrease caffeine intake and drink more water. Drink half your body weight in ounces per day especially with the summer heat and exercise.
9. Eat less sugar – Elevated blood sugar levels reduce the effectiveness of the immune system. Try to stay within 25-40 grams of sugar per day.
10. Maintain a healthy weight and waist circumference.
Bonus – Play – Laugh – Love More
Amazingly, Dr. Hamer was able to show that at the same time as the concentric brain lesion appears also the target organ CT may show such a concentric lesion. According to Dr. Hamer this happens instantly when the psychic shock hits the subconscious level and this same second is the start of cancer. However, also other diseases can be caused by the same mechanism. How severe a disease becomes may depend on other psychological, energetic and nutritional factors but its nature and location are determined by the content of the conflict shock
Hamer believes that the correlation between key emotional shock events, the target brain areas and the related organs has developed as an adaptation of our human evolution from similar programs in the animal world. When we unexpectedly experience emotional distress, an emergency repair program is set in motion, a biological conflict program with the aim of returning the individual to normal.
Hamer gives the following example. A mother sees her child in a bad accident. In evolutionary terms small children recover faster when they receive extra milk. Therefore, the biological conflict program tries to stimulate milk production by increasing the number of breast cells. If the mother is right-handed, that will instantly cause the appearance of a Hamer Herd in a specific part of her right brain, which in turn relates to the left breast. When the child is well again, conflict resolution begins and extra milk is no longer needed. The mother gets a benign form of tuberculosis in that breast which breaks up the excess breast cells. However, if the mycobacteria required for this are lacking, then the area may just calcify and remain as a dormant tumor.
Hamer illustrates this with another example, a woman who finds her husband in bed with another female. As a sexual frustration conflict it causes uterus cancer. If she instead experiences it as a partner conflict, then in a right-handed woman it leads to cancer of the right breast. If the conflict feeling is fear and revulsion then it causes hypoglycemia and with lack of self-worth cancer may develop in the pubic bone.
If the lack of self-worth had been due to a failure in sportsmanship rather than being sexually related, then the problem would have arisen in an arm or leg instead or possibly in the fingers or shoulder.
Other typical situations that may lead to biological conflicts are loss situations, loss of a loved one, of a job, a valued possession or a territory.
Dr Hamer believes that most metastases or secondary tumors are caused by the cancer-fear or death-fear resulting from the patient given the cancer diagnosis or a negative prognosis. However, also in this case the resulting conflict shock may not be fear of death but rather anger, resentment or a separation conflict from partner or children and then tumors would appear in different places. Also a diagnosis of colon cancer commonly leads to liver cancer because of a subconscious fear of starvation.
Generally hopelessness, despair and meaninglessness create chronic stress, which prevent the healing from cancer and other diseases but they are not the cause. According to Hamer the real cause of cancer and other diseases is an unexpected traumatic shock for which we are emotionally unprepared. The following list shows some of the relationships between conflict emotions and target organs.
Adrenal cortex – Wrong direction, gone astray
Bladder – Ugly conflict, dirty tricks
Bone – Lack of self-worth, inferiority feeling

All medical theories, whether conventional or “alternative”, past or current, are based on the concept that diseases are “malfunctions”of the organism. Dr. Hamer’s discoveries show, however, that nothing in Nature is “diseased”but always biologically meaningful. According to the Five Biological Laws, diseases are not malignancies, as claimed by conventional medicine, but are instead age-old “Biological Special Programs of Nature”created for our survival. The Five Biological Laws are in perfect harmony with spiritual laws. Because of this truth, the Spanish call the New Medicine “La Medicina Sagrada”, the Sacred Medicine.

Caroline Markolin’s Introduction to the Five Biological Laws
Dr Hamer started his cancer research when he developed testicle cancer after his son was shot dead. He wondered if his sons death was the cause of his cancer. Subsequently he investigated and documented over 15,000 cases of cancer and always found the following characteristics to be present, which he termed the Iron Rules of Cancer.
The Iron Rules of Cancer
Every cancer and related disease starts as a DHS that is a Dirk Hamer Syndrome, which is a serious, acute-dramatic and isolating conflict-shock-experience. It manifests simultaneously on three levels, psyche, brain and organ.
The theme of the psychic conflict determines the location of the focus or HAMER Herd in the brain, and the location of the cancer in the organ.
The course of the psychic conflict correlates with the development of the HAMER Herd in the brain, and the course of the cancer in the organ.
At the moment of the conflict-shock a short circuit occurs in a pre-determined place of the brain. This can be photographed with computed-tomography (CT) and looks like concentric rings on a shooting target or like the surface of water after a stone has been dropped into it. Later on, if the conflict becomes resolved, the CT image changes, an edema develop, and finally scar tissue.
IN This documentary a film by Producer, David Sereda, Quantum Communication, attempts to teach us how communication really works from the Quantum level and how this is connected to the Universal Laws of Attraction. How do we manifest our future Soul-Matches, Business Partners, Teachers, and how do we communicate with God. What is actually happening when we pray? How do we create an intelligent dialog with the creative force of the Universe to allow us to experience a Quantum leap in our own intelligence?
Natural Selection is one of the main concepts found within the theory of evolution. It was discovered by Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace though Darwin championed the idea in his book “On the Origin of Species”.
Natural selection can be defined as the process by which random evolutionary changes are selected for by nature in a consistent, orderly, non-random way.
When coupled with descent with modification, Natural Selection can cause a population to evolve for fitness within a given environment over multiple generations.
Natural Selection is an observable fact. By carefully observing populations of living things with short life cycles you can actually watch it happen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SCjhI86grU
Theoretical physicist Michio Kaku claimed that he found evidence that God exists back in 2016, and his reasoning has caused a stir in the scientific community.
When responding to a question about the meaning of life and God, Kaku said that most physicists do believe in a God because of how the universe is designed. Ours is a universe of order, beauty, elegance and simplicity.
He explained the universe didn’t have to be this way — it could have been ugly and chaotic. In short, the order we see in the universe is evidence of a Creator.
“I have concluded that we are in a world made by rules created by an intelligence,” the physicist said, according to Science World Report. “Believe me, everything that we call chance today won’t make sense anymore. To me it is clear that we exist in a plan which is governed by rules that were created, shaped by a universal intelligence and not by chance.”
Kaku, one of the creators and developers of the revolutionary String Theory, came to his conclusions with what he calls primitive semi-radius tachyons, which are theoretical particles that have the ability to “unstick” matter or the vacuum space between particles, leaving everything in the universe free from any influence from the surrounding universe.
The physicist explained that God is like a mathematician, which is similar to what Albert Einstein believed.
These ideas will no doubt make atheist heads explode, because the more intelligent people come to accept that there is a God, the more atheists will look foolish.
Watch Kaku in a video explaining his theory below:
The way we manifest abundance in our lives is to awaken the genius within each one of us so that we can excel in our relationships, careers and super-learning to transform our lives and those around us. Discover how to master this in your life! This awakening of intelligence happens when we understand how Quantum Communication actually functions within each of us. The bottom line is God didn’t create the universe because there was not a beginning because there was no time. However, I find curious is the fact that the Bible (written centuries ago) declares there is not time in God. Time doesn’t affect God; God is timeless, God is Eternal. From Augustine through Aquinas, the major thinkers argued that God was not in time at all. They thought of God as eternal. Eternity is a term used to express the concept of something that has no end and/or no beginning. God has no beginning or end. He is outside the realm of time. Eternity is not something that can be absolutely related to God. God is even beyond eternity. Think about it, the Bible declares God describe himself as the Alpha and the Omega (the Beginning and the End). Maybe the black holes are critical keys to understanding the attributes of God.
Is everything an illusory simulation? Was the world created by a non-physical force we can communicate with and possibly influence with our minds, thereby participating in the creation of our own reality? These are the grandiose existential questions central to this documentary, which introduces viewers to the concept of the Simulation Hypothesis.
Teasing that there are cutting edge physics experiments that imply Simulation Hypothesis could be true, the film begins by reviewing two primary philosophies regarding the nature of life: materialism and idealism. First introduced by Democritus, materialism credits the atom as the basis for all reality, making consciousness the result of a material process. Plato, on the other hand, believed it is the mind itself that gives way to matter; therefore reality is borne from ideas.
The Simulation Hypothesis, which the filmmakers parallel very heavily against the hit sci-fi movie The Matrix, argues that matter and ideas are the result of a complex digital simulation, something akin to a video game. Theoretical physicists make their case for a programmable universe, positing that there is evidence of computer code to be found in nature and we are, put simply, expressions of a code.
Are we ourselves composed of binary strings of 0s and 1s? Could it be that subatomic particles are nature’s answer to the bits and pixels that digital worlds are composed of? Though dense in scientific jargon, there is an underlying creationist belief to Simulation Hypothesis – if, in fact, the world is a program, someone must have written it. But who, or what? The film suggests that humans have an innate mental connection back to this universal programmer through the subconscious.
The Simulation Hypothesis is a thought provoking exploration of the nature of our existence, playing into the universal curiosity of how and why we came to be. Relying heavily on footage from famous movies, animated models, and the occasional interview to illustrate the concepts being presented, this episode takes viewers to the intersection of theology and science in a way that is equal parts educational and fantastical.
In this film, Professor Marcus du Sautoy explores one of the most dramatic scientific announcements for a generation. In clear, simple language he tells the story of the science we thought we knew, how it is being challenged, and why it matters. http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/faster-than-the-speed-of-light/
Everything Vibrates:
This Universal Law states that everything in the Universe moves and vibrates – everything is vibrating at one speed or another. Nothing rests. Everything you see around you is vibrating at one frequency or another and so are you. However your frequency is different from other things in the universe – hence it seems like you are separated from what you see around you – people, animals, plants, trees and so on. BUT you are not separated – you are in fact living in an ocean of energy – we all are. We are all connected at the lowest level – a level professor John Hagelin calls the unified field. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqM3TE5TDw8
Love between two people is a vibration and when that relationship is broken that vibration stops. Much like when you go through depression over the lost of a LOVE one.
StringTheoryisa theoryofeverything, so it’s a theory of quarks; it explains their different varieties and behavior and the causes and effects of that behavior.
Early in its history, String Theory was intended to be a model of nuclear interactions, just like Quantum chromodynamics, the theory of quarks and gluons.
Later it was realised that String Theory predicts particles that might be interpretable gravitons and therefore provide a universal theory that includes nuclear interactions, gravity and every other kind of force.
So it is believe that this formulation is a strong contender of being a unified theory of everything. The paradigm upon which the string theory is based is that instead of point like particles, the fundamental entities of nature are one dimensional strings – very very tiny strings – which vibrate and different vibrations are manifested as different fundamental particles.
The essential idea behind string theory is this: all of the different ‘fundamental ‘ particles of the Standard Model are really just different manifestations of one basic object: a string. How can that be? Well, we would ordinarily picture an electron, for instance, as a point with no internal structure. A point cannot do anything but move.
But, if string theory is correct, then under an extremely powerful ‘microscope’ we would realize that the electron is not really a point, but a tiny loop of string. A string can also do something aside from moving— it can oscillate in different ways. If it oscillates a certain way, then from a distance, unable to tell it is really a string, we see an electron. But if it oscillates some other way, well, then we call it a photon, or a quark, or a … you get the idea. So, if string theory is correct, the entire world is made of strings!
Perhaps the most remarkable thing about string theory is that such a simple idea works— it is possible to derive (an extension of) the Standard Model (which has been verified experimentally with incredible precision) from a theory of strings. But it should also be said that, to date, there is no direct experimental evidence that string theory itself is the correct description of Nature.
But this is mostly due to the fact that string theory is still under development.
We know bits and pieces of it, but we do not yet see the whole picture, and we are unable to make definite predictions. In recent years many exciting developments have taken place, radically improving our understanding of what the theory is.

Their is the sort of personality that Canadian physician Gabor Mate has studied extensively. Over his years in his family practice, Mate relates, he began to a pattern: individuals who were unable to express anger, who didn’t seem to recognize the primacy of own needs. Who were constantly doing for others, appeared to be the ones that are most susceptible to a slew of ailments, from asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, and lupus, multiple sclerosis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. These conditions are all also autoimmune disorders. Mate claims that, when an individual engages in a long-term practice of ignoring or suppressing legitimate feelings–when he/ is just plain too nice. The immune system becomes compromised and confused, learning to attack the self rather than defend it.

By far the strongest poison to the human spirit is the inability to forgive oneself or another person.️
The Type C Personality: Are You Susceptible to Illness?
Here’s what Michael writes about the Type C Personality:
In recent years, a cluster of personality characteristics has come to be identified as the Type C personality, someone who is at heightened risk for a slew of afflictions, from colds to asthma to cancer.
.
In contrast with the Type A person (who angers easily and has difficulty keeping his/her feelings under wraps) and the Type B person (who has a healthier balance of emotional expressiveness), the Type C person is a suppressor, a stoic, a denier of feelings.
.
He or she has a calm, outwardly rational, and unemotional demeanor, but a tendency to conform to the wishes of others, a lack of assertiveness, and an inclination toward feelings of helplessness or hopelessness.
.
Extrovert
People who are outgoing, involved in their communities, and also having strong social connections reap health benefits. An analysis of 148 studies published in the online journal PLoS medicine in July found that on average, adults enrolled in the study with many close friendships were 50 percent likelier to survive until their study ended than were those with few friendships. A 2009 study published in Perspectives in Psychological Science suggests that social support leads to improved coping skills, healthy behavior, and an adherence to medical regimens.
Bonding with others also reduces stress and improves the immune system—so making friends and getting involved becomes, in effect, a well-being tonic. What drives at least some of the health benefits goes beyond biology, Miller says. “It may have to do with the fact that when you’re around people, you think, ‘Oh, Martha has gone for her mammogram—that reminds me, I should, too.’ ”
People-pleasers—Type C’s—are conforming, passive, and want to accommodate. That can be a good thing when it comes to patient compliance: They’re more likely to take the right medicines in the right doses at the right times, for instance—once they see a doctor, that is. Making and following through on appointments can be challenging for Type C’s, who tend to accept their fate as inevitable and fall readily into hopelessness and helplessness.
That means others must push them to take care of themselves. “They may be less likely to maintain their health on their own,” Belamaric says. “If they develop a problem, they may just complain about it, hoping somebody says, ‘I have a good doctor, I’ll make you an appointment.’
” Some Type C’s may be so mired that they don’t seek medical attention—even when it’s clearly necessary—and slough off preventive behaviors, like watching what they eat. “If they get a serious diagnosis, they may be passive, throw their hands up, and say, ‘Well, there’s nothing I can do about it, anyway. If it’s my time, it’s my time,’ ” Belamaric says.
Stressed and distressed
Type D’s—D is for distressed—dwell on negative emotions and are afraid to express themselves in social situations. Compared to more optimistic sorts, a Type D may face three times the risk for future heart problems, according to a recent study in the journal Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes.
Type D’s also face a higher likelihood of compulsive overeating and substance abuse. “If you’re a person who is prone to depression or anxiety, or if you’re overly self-critical, there’s more of a chance of turning to gratifying behavior to feel better,” Miller says.
Optimism “heavily influences physical and mental health,” concluded a study published in May in the journal Clinical Practice & Epidemiology in Mental Health after researchers followed more than 500 males for 15 years.
The rate of heart-related deaths was 50 percent lower among optimists than among pessimists. “Optimists have a higher quality of life, and they may be more resilient in the way they deal with stress,” Miller says. “So if a problem comes along, they’re able to handle it better, and they become less symptomatic.”
Glass-half-empty types harbor little hope for the future and tend more toward depression and anxiety disorders. But also there’s a catch for those at the extreme end of the optimism spectrum: They think of themselves as impervious to risks. Extreme optimists who smoke are the best examples. They believe they won’t develop lung cancer. Why give up smoking prevent a nonexistent risk?
The “self-healing personality”
That is the name Howard Friedman, a professor of psychology at the University of California-Riverside, attaches to people who are curious, secure, constructive, responsive, and conscientious. These traits translate to enthusiasm for life, emotional balance, and strong social relationships. “Positive emotions buffer hormonal responses to stress,” says Friedman, whom studies the relationship between personality and longevity. Self-healers, he says, “have healthier behavior patterns: more physical activity, a better diet, and less smoking and substance abuse.”
Are certain personality types more likely to get cancer? Since we know that our personality affects how we live and what we do, also personality can be a significant puzzle piece in our overall health. Many years ago, studies found that people with a “Type A” personality and traits such as impatience, frustration, and hostility, had a greater risk of heart attack than people with more easy-going personalities. The search for links between personality and cancer has turned up some interesting connections … and debunked some internet myths.
Certain personality traits may reduce your risk of cancer but not because of the traits themselves, but rather for what those traits lead you to do. For example, personality types who are positively engaged about their health will see their physicians regularly, consume healthful foods, and exercise regularly—all known factors that reduce their risk of cancer.
Personality types that are more impulsive, reckless, and less likely to even give a thought for their health increase their risk of cancer, however, it is because they are more likely to smoke, drink to excess, be sedentary, and eat poorly. No scientifically sound studies have found that stress or grief can cause cancer. While prolonged emotional stress or profound grief can weaken the immune system, nobody has found any proof that these things cause cancer. So while persistent stress and grief are not good for your health, there is no indication that they increase your risk for cancer.
An interesting study from the University of Michigan found that people with plenty of social ties, including friends, family, and a sense of belonging to a community, had a lower overall death rate than loners—from all causes, including those but not limited to cancer. Researchers suggest that having a social network causes us to take better care of ourselves and, if we do feel sick or threatened, to get support.
Social people who face illness or any type of setback may feel less vulnerable because of their built-in support system. Moreover, these people-who-need-people are also more likely to hear positive advice and reinforcing messages about a healthy lifestyle from the folks who love them.
A person surrounded by family and friends will be urged (maybe even nagged) to go to the doctor when symptoms occur. On the other hand, people who seek an isolated lifestyle and actively avoid making friends or having contact with others die at an earlier age.
Loners can pursue poor lifestyle choices with little opposition. When a crisis hits, the isolated individual has no one to turn to and may feel deeply threatened. A person with no friends or family who faces a devastating illness may simply not have people around to provide help and support. Thus, wanting to live without friends and family does not cause cancer, however, it makes it harder to live a healthful lifestyle and to cope with a potentially life-threatening illness.
Some physicians have observed in their practice that cancer patients behave in similar ways. This may not be surprising in that all people faced with a cancer diagnosis are in a similar situation: fearful, stressed, confused. It has been stated that cancer patients are punctual, polite, submissive, and reserved.
These cancer patients often report “unfulfilled passions,” that is, they did not have a chance to do some of the things they had wanted to do, whether that was traveling to Paris or learning to play the piano. No hard science backs those claims up. For instance, it could be that learning one has cancer will make one show up at the doctor’s office on time and be docile and polite as the doctor explains treatment options.
.
When a person is first diagnosed with cancer and faces her own mortality, it probably makes her acutely aware of all the things she wanted to do in life. Thus, these may not be so much personality traits as common behaviors in people facing a similar situation. It has been argued that some personality traits help people cope better with cancer. For instance, being tough or having a fighting spirit is thought to be helpful to endure cancer treatment. While this may be true, it is difficult for science to measure this sort of thing.
.
Besides that, many people do not really find out how tough they are until they are faced with a crisis. While a strong, fighting personality is useful, it may not be an everyday personality trait. When it comes to coping with cancer and enduring cancer treatment, social ties also have a strong positive effect.
.
Being surrounded by family and friends really does matter. The point is that some perfectly happy, strong, smart people get cancer and some people who are a hot mess do not. Our best defenses are a healthy lifestyle, exercise, regular checkups and friends and family. Maybe friends and family come at the top of that list!
.
It was once thought that people with certain personality traits were particularly susceptible to cancer. Neurotic people and introverts, in particular, were believed to be especially at risk for developing the disease. Personality type was also thought to play a role in whether people stricken with cancer would die of it.
In the early 1960s, for example, a study tentatively found that male lung cancer patients were more likely to be extroverted and less likely to be neurotic than males without cancer. A study from the early 1980s suggested that people with lower levels of neuroticism and anxiety, as measured on standardized tests, were at an increased risk of breast cancer. Many of these studies were discredited because they involved small numbers of people, were poorly designed, and poorly run.
.
Another problem was that some scientific journals tended to publish studies showing a link between cancer and personality, while rejecting studies that found no link. The result, according to the American Cancer Society, was a widespread belief that there is a scientific basis for cancer-prone personality types.
.
Recent research has largely debunked such notions. A 2010 study involving 60,000 people in Sweden and Finland found no link between personality and overall cancer risk, and no link between personality traits and cancer survival. A Japanese study from 2003 looked for a connection between four personality traits – extraversion, neuroticism, psychoticism, and deception – and four different types of cancer. It found none.
Even though there doesn’t appear to be a biological connection between personality type and cancer risk, certain traits are associated with behaviors that can raise or lower that risk. For example, highly health-conscious people are unlikely to engage in activities – like smoking, overeating, or basking in the sun too long – associated with cancer. People who pay less attention to diet and exercise may put themselves at higher risk for the disease.
“Although there is no biological association between personality traits and cancer risk, how an individual copes with cancer can have a positive effect on reducing distress and improving quality of life,” says Halyna Vitagliano, MD, MSci, a specialist in psychosocial oncology at Dana-Farber states, “Good coping strategies include getting enough sleep; maintaining a healthy, well-balanced diet; exercising; and also engaging in emotionally meaningful activities; and nurturing supportive relationships with loved ones.
Good coping skills means avoiding behaviors that are known biological risk factors for cancer, such as exposure to the sun’s harmful UV light, drinking excessively, and smoking. Good self-care and resilience go a long way in navigating the cancer journey.”
So when someone passes away from natural treatments should it be said that they had the wrong personality. I think these issues play against your chances of survival also.
1) If you believe there’s an appointed ‘time’ for us to pass away or not.
2) If the person had more going on “inside” than they could figure out to do on their own.
3) If the person had enough understanding, advice, wisdom or proper care to really treat what they were going through naturally
4) If the person was actually following all of the things they were supposed to do.
5) If the person could afford to do all of the things they were needing to do.
6) Also did they test or guess … et cetera.
For the naysayers, many things like taking Activated Charcoal or using Anti Angiogenics for example, to some might seem silly and they don’t fully understand their impact. However, The more I learn, the better I feel as I try and employ new things to my health regime. The rest of this is mental/emotional and those are things we can’t control about anyone’s life, much less our own but we do our best.
Sometimes people go through soul-crushing hurts and pains and problems and we just don’t know how to recover or revitalize ourselves afterwards… I say plan for the careful path toward every healthy thing you can do for yourself. Also plan as though you have a limited time and love every moment you have.
If we look at everyone who dies and try to judge them and tell ourself they weren’t totally focused on themselves, Then no treatment will be classed as working, but if we look at how many peoples standard of lives have been improved and also how many cancer has gone into remission, as well, we will get a more accurate picture. There are statistics to every protocol. So no treatment is 100% perfect. I have seen people who tried the Gerson therapy, who didn’t progress, try cannabis oil successfully. Then again, I have also seen cannabis oil fail others and Gerson work. This is why no one treatment should be the only treatment for an illness.
Did you know them and their true daily habits, what age they were, how they grew up and when they changed their diets or if they even did. How old they are now and what challenges they faced and for how long?
All I know is we will all pass someday no matter how pure our diet is and if I was to pass tomorrow people would probably question what I do or am saying here, but I can share with you this one thing. Everyone makes mistakes and everyone does what they know best, but no one knows it all. More than anything we have a long way to go to truly understanding…things like what it means to detox safely.
Once you finally awaken from 60 years of bad diet, abusive lifestyle and unhealthy liver you can get sick and not recover from it while you are trying to do just that. One persons perfect diet is another persons poison. The bodies job is to eliminate toxic waste and our job is to help it do that by learning to listen to it and giving it what it needs to stay strong, healthy and flexible.
“God knew the day I was born how many days I have to live its coded in our DNA.
.
There is nothing any regular or natural doctor can do to change that.
Where my free will comes in is how well I live out those days based on the choices that I make.” I pray daily that when I die it’s not cancer that takes my life. I have been learning my particular cancer lesson for just a lil over a 11years now. I am stronger and healthier now than I was a year ago.
Well having walked this path with my own feet; it is hard to judge other people when you don’t have the whole picture; factors that are different in so many cases prove to us the outcomes may be different, Some will surivive the cancer, but not live; others will succumb and never gain remission, others gain remission. Where you live, what you eat, what you do, and what you have used before the protocol all play a huge role in the outcome.
For us a healhty person, living on natural products, gets cancer, sucked into conventional, changes course, survives cancer and and dies of conventional damage. This is an all too familar story. For those of us whom speak, do we really see the whole picture. What we do know is conventional has a poor outcome; so if you are risk taker, just try it; otherwise look to treatments that show remission rates you are satisfied with and then put your hope into gear.”
Amelia Earhart was born on 24 July 1897 in Atchison, Kansas. Her flying career began in Los Angeles in 1921 when, at age 24, she took flying lessons from Neta Snook and bought her first airplane– a Kinner Airstar. Due to family problems, she sold her airplane in 1924 and moved back East, where she took employment as a social worker.
Four years later, she returned to aviation bought an Avro Avian airplane and became the first woman to make a solo-return transcontinent…al flight. From then on, she continued to set and break her own speed and distance records, in competitive events, as well as personal stunts promoted by her husband George Palmer Putnam.
Earhart’s name became a household word in 1932 when she became the first woman, and second person, to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, on the fifth anniversary of Charles Lindbergh’s feat, flying a Lockheed Vega from Harbor Grace, Newfoundland to Londonderry, Ireland. That year, she received the Distinguished Flying Cross from the Congress, the Cross of Knight of the Legion of Honor from the French Government, and the Gold Medal of the National Geographic Society from President Hoover.
In January 1935 Earhart became the first person to fly solo across the Pacific Ocean from Honolulu to Oakland, California. Later that year she soloed from Los Angeles to Mexico City and back to Newark, N.J. In July 1936 she took delivery of a Lockheed 10E “Electra,” financed by Purdue University & started planning her round-the-world flight.
In 1937, as Earhart neared her 40th birthday, she was ready for a monumental, and final, challenge: she wanted to be the first woman to fly around the world. Despite a botched attempt in March that severely damaged her plane, a determined Earhart had the twin engine Lockheed Electra rebuilt. “I have a feeling that there is just about one more good flight left in my system, and I hope this trip is it,” she said. On June 1st, Earhart and her navigator, Fred Noonan, departed from Miami and began the 29,000-mile journey. Amelia (2009) The Movie “Hillary Swank”
.
By June 29th, when they landed in Lae, New Guinea, all but 7,000 miles had been completed. Frequently inaccurate maps had made navigation difficult for Noonan, and their next hop—to Howland Island—was by far the most challenging. Located 2,556 miles from Lae in the mid-Pacific, Howland Island is a mile and a half long and a half-mile wide. Every unessential item was removed from the plane to make room for additional fuel, which gave Earhart approximately 274 extra miles.
.
The U.S. Coast Guard cutter ITASCA, their radio contact, was stationed just offshore of HowlandIsland. Two other U.S. ships, ordered to burn every light on board, were positioned along the flight route as markers. “Howland is such a small spot in the Pacific that every aid to locating it must be available,” Earhart emphasized. On July 2nd, At 10 a.m. local time, zero Greenwich time, the pair took off. Despite ideal weather reports, they flew into overcast skies and intermittent rain showers.
.
This made Noonan’s favored method of tracking, celestial navigation, difficult.
As dawn neared, Earhart called the ITASCA, reporting “cloudy weather, cloudy.” In later transmissions, Earhart asked the ITASCA to take bearings on her. The ITASCA sent her a steady stream of transmissions, but she could not hear them. Her radio transmissions, irregular through most of the flight, were faint or interrupted with static.
At 7:42 a.m., the Itasca picked up the message, “We must be on you, but we cannot see you. Fuel is running low. Been unable to reach you by radio. We are flying at 1,000 feet.” The ship tried to reply, but the plane seemed not to hear. At 8:45 a.m., Earhart reported, “We are running north and south.” Nothing further was heard from her.
.
It’s been 80 years since Earhart vanished, yet her disappearance remains just as big a mystery today as it did generations ago. Before she disappeared, Earhart had already broken gender barriers by completing solo flights male pilots hadn’t. She was the first woman to fly over the Atlantic, the first person to fly over the Atlantic twice and first person to fly solo across the Pacific from Honolulu, Hawaii, to Oakland, California.
The famed aviator last heard from on July 2,1937, as she attempted to make the first around-the-world flight along the equator with navigator Fred Noonan. Earhart was officially declared dead in 1939 after the U.S. government concluded she crashed somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, but her remains were never found.
I have six reasons why the next person rates as an American Hero 🙂
1. Rachel Carson, the ecologist … who kicked the hornet’s nest, wrote a book that needed no subtitle. Published fifty five years ago this September, Silent Spring rocketed to the top of the bestseller list, prompted a meeting with the president’s science advisers, occasioned congressional hearings, and circled her neck with medals of honor.
It also let loose swarms of invective from the pesticide industry. Throughout it all, Carson remained calm. Friends and foes alike praised her graceful comportment and gentle voice. Also, her stylish suits and trim figure. Nevertheless, her various publicity photos (with microscope; in the woods; outside her summer cottage in Maine; at home in Maryland) look as if the same thought bubble hovers above them all: I hate this.
2. In the later portraits, Carson was dying of breast cancer. It was a diagnosis she hid out of fear that her enemies in industry would use her medical situation to attack her scientific objectivity and, most especially, her carefully constructed argument about the role that petrochemicals (especially pesticides) played in the story of human cancer.
But behind her unflappable public composure, Carson’s private writings reveal how much physical anguish she endured. Bone metastases. Radiation burns. Angina.
Knowing this, you can imagine her patience running out during the interminable photo shoots. The wretched wig hot and itchy under the lights. The stabbing pains (cervical vertebrae splintered with tumors) that would not, would not relent.
3. In the iconic Hawk Mountain photo, Rachel Carson is truly beautiful. Her smile looks natural rather than forced. Posed on a rocky summit (see above), she is wearing a badass leather jacket and wields a pair of leather-strapped binoculars. So armed, she scans the horizon. At her feet, the whole of Berks County, Pennsylvania, unfurls, forest and valley, field and mountain, like a verse from a Pete Seeger song.
4. Hawk Mountain, along the Appalachian flyway, is an officially designated refuge for raptors. As with so many sanctuaries, it started out as a hunting ground with bounties.
By the mid-1930s, it had become the spot in Pennsylvania to witness the annual fall migration of hawks. Rachel Carson loved it here. She also wrote about her experiences in a never-finished, never-published essay titled “Road of the Hawks.” According to biographer Linda Lear—who gathered the fragments into the collection Lost Woods: The Discovered Writing of Rachel Carson—the essay is also notable not only for its careful analysis of bird behavior and knowledge of geology but also because Carson traced the origin of her airy lookout to Paleozoic marine organisms.
5.And always in these Appalachian highlands there are reminders of those ancient seas that more than once lay over all this land . . . these whitened limestone rocks on which I am sitting were formed under that Paleozoic ocean, the myriad tiny skeletons of creatures that drifted in its waters. Now I lie back with half closed eyes and try to realize that I am at the bottom of another ocean—an ocean of air on which the hawks are sailing.
6. She sat on a mountaintop and thought about the oceans.

the author who is credited with starting the modern environmental movement.
(CNN)Cancer deaths in the United States dropped over 20% between 1980 and 2014, but a new study shows that some places are being left behind.
Looking at death records from the National Center for Health Statistics, the study in the Journal of the American Medical Association pinpoints cancer clusters where deaths have not come down. In fact, some places have gotten worse.
“It makes you wonder: How could this happen in a country like ours, when we spend more money on health than any other country in the world?” said Ali Mokdad, the lead author of the study and a professor at the University of Washington’s School of Public Health. http://sph.washington.edu/faculty/fac_bio.asp?url_ID=Mokdad_Ali
The highs and the lows
Of the 19.5 million cancer deaths on record during the 24-year period, nearly half came from three cancers: Cancer of the lungs and airways took the lion’s share, followed by colorectal and breast cancers.
Based on 2014 data, lung cancer deaths bunched across the state of Kentucky, though Union County, Florida, had the highest in the nation with 231 deaths per 100,000 people that year. Breast cancer, on the other hand, lit up the map along the Mississippi River and Southern belt. It was highest in Madison County, Mississippi, with 52 deaths per 100,000 people.
Although these numbers can be misleading. Summit County, Colorado, which has fewer than 30,000 residents, had the lowest incidences of both lung and breast cancers, at 11 deaths per 100,000 people for each cancer. Summit County also has a transient population of newcomers that will go home when a disease occurs.
Liver cancer increased by almost 88% nationwide over the 24 years, from 3.6 to 6.8 deaths per 100,000 people. The authors pointed out clusters along Texas’ border with Mexico and in several counties in states with large Native American populations: New Mexico, Alaska and South Dakota. As we see incline …in the Amish populations disease rates as they drift away from traditional lifestyle and sell off their farm land to mega farmers and the farm practices they bring with them.
Amish people have very low cancer rate for 4 Reasons.
(1) Free from electromagnetic waves (no tv, no smart phone, no electric lights, no microwave cooking, etc);
(2) near-organic food;
(3) alcohol and smoking rare;
(4) active lifestyle.
The six leading causes of death (with mortality rates per 100,000 population) amongst all Native American males are from accidents (127.3), heart disease (126.8), cancer (63.0) and cerebrovascular disease and homicide (both 22.9).
Among Native American females, the six leading causes of death (with mortality rates per 100,000 population) are also from heart disease (87.9), cancer (55.6), accidents (42.6), cerebrovascular disease (23.6), chronic liver disease and cirrhosis (20.8) and diabetes (17.2).

“A Hidden America: Children of the Mountains” is a continuation of Diane Sawyer’s reporting on America’s forgotten children. Sawyer won an Emmy for outstanding feature story in a news magazine for “Waiting on the World to Change,” a firsthand account of poverty among children in America, which aired in 2007. The yearlong reporting followed the lives of children in one of the poorest cities in America who struggle daily to succeed despite horrendous odds.- ABC NEWS 20/20
However, the researchers did not examine the reasons for the increase.
Overall, the counties with the cancer highest mortality rates were in Kentucky and the South (per 100,000 people):
Union County, Florida 503.05
Madison County, Mississippi 363.03
Powell County, Kentucky 337.43
Breathitt County, Kentucky 329.07
Marlboro County, South Carolina 324.02
Owsley County, Kentucky 323.30
Anderson County, Texas 323.22
Perry County, Kentucky 322.75
Harlan County, Kentucky 319.82
Lee County, Kentucky 317.33
The lowest rates of all cancers were seen in these counties (per 100,000 people):
Summit County, Colorado 70.71
Pitkin County, Colorado 81.86
Eagle County, Colorado 94.29
Presidio County, Texas 103.51
Hinsdale County, Colorado 110.26
San Miguel County, Colorado 113.58
Aleutians East Borough, Aleutians West Census Area, Alaska 116.05
Los Alamos County, New Mexico 118.42
Billings County, North Dakota 120.27
Grand County, Colorado 121.34
Because the data end at 2014, Mokdad said, the numbers do not show how the Affordable Care Act, which expanded coverage to millions of Americans, might have impacted these disparities. Other recent studies have described an increase in mammograms among older women and coverage for the chronically ill under the act.

Mallory Davenport has overcome a lot in her 31 years on mother earth. InSept. 2011, and being diagnosed with stage ll Hodgkins Lymphoma at the age of 25. Mallory had just gotten married that April to her best friend and soul mate. 🙂 My job as an independent insurance adjuster was going great, I was making good money and traveling the U.S. SO Getting diagnosed with cancer was like being blindsided by a truck. .
In 1987 some residents in the tiny community of St. Gabriel, Louisiana, called Jacobs Drive, the street on which they lived, “cancer alley” because there were fifteen cancer victims in a two-block stretch. Half a mile away, there were seven cancer victims living on one block. The eighty-five-mile stretch of the Mississippi River from Baton Rouge to New Orleans was formerly referred to as the “petrochemical corridor” but after reports of numerous cases of cancer occurring in the small rural communities on both sides of the river, the entire area became known as cancer alley.
Clusters can consist of various conditions: cancer, birth defects and other chronic illnesses. The exact cause of these high-density, at-risk areas is unknown, but the NRDC reports they “have sometimes been linked to chemicals or other toxic pollutants in local communities.” However, the organization admits that “these links can be controversial.”
.
The disease clusters spotlighted in the NRDC report are not a complete list. In order to shed light on the issue, the council zeroed in on 13 states in the U.S. with known clusters that occurred after 1976 and that have been confirmed by federal, state or local authorities, or had been covered in a peer-reviewed journal. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3408895/
Cancer being genetics 3% of the time what really causes cancer can be found in cancer cluster and the chemicals that we come in direct contact with, consume in our food, iron & chloride in our water and also the air breath. With todays technology I think we should heed our own advice which include EMF smog …WiFi signals, dirty electricity, Bluetooth and ubiquitous WiFi signals around us, cellphone use, pylons and cell towers. There’s also a study in Germany that links EMF with the incidence of Childhood Leukemia. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOSbSurf6DU
Factors that cause cancer clusters. This is a video clip from the fabulous documentary by James Russell, “Resonance – Beings of Frequency”. This incredible film can be seen free online: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FttrOK1ec4Q
“At the county level, you see huge disparities,” Mokdad said. “Many counties are falling behind while the rest of the country benefits.” These disparities may exist for any number of reasons, he said. For one, risk factors for cancer, such as smoking and obesity, might be more prevalent in certain places. Also we all must all beware of vitamin, mineral deficits and good fat to bad ratios.
Prevention and screening in some counties can lag behind others, which may cause fatal cases of cancers that are normally easily detected and treated. Low awareness of cancer risks and symptoms, as well as poor access to health care, can impact the quality of cancer treatment and how soon patients receive it.
Even in cancer research, multiple studies have showed that participants are largely white and male, which may impact how effective treatments are for all populations.
“There is an added element of difficulty in engaging in research and education from folks who are considered to be from the outside,” said Dr. LeeAnn Bailey, who develops diversity training and community outreach programs with the Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities. She was not involved in the study.
According to Bailey, going out into the community is key. One of these programs, the Geographic Management of Cancer Health Disparities Program, organizes the country into six “hubs,” each served by a major cancer center, that sends health workers into communities.
In a breakthrough discovery at the Children’s Medical Center Research Institute at UT Southwestern (CRI), a research team led by Ralph DeBerardinis, M.D., Ph.D., has taken a significant step in cracking the code of an atypical metabolic pathway that allows certain cancerous tumors to thrive, providing a possible roadmap for defeating such cancers.
Published in Cell Reports, andfollowing up on Dr. DeBerardinis’ landmark finding in 2011, this most recent discovery identifies the triggering mechanism that plays a key role in causing a series of energy-generating chemical reactions known as the Krebs cycle to run in reverse.
“With this finding, we have learned there are particular enzymes that work together to enable the reverse pathway to function, much like the tiny gears that turn in opposite directions to power a mechanical clock,” said Dr. DeBerardinis, director of CRI’s Genetic and Metabolic Disease Program and associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics and the Eugene McDermott Center for Human Growth and Development at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
The identification of the mechanism could provide a future target for drugs that would attack tumors relying upon the reverse pathway for sustenance and growth. Tumors of this type, often found in the brain, lungs and kidneys, tend to be difficult for oncologists to treat because cells using the atypical pathway seem to resist existing treatments like chemotherapy.
“Prior to this discovery, we didn’t have enough information about how to tap into the reverse metabolic pathway without disrupting the pathways that were operating in the typical, forward manner,” said Dr. DeBerardinis, senior author of the study. “We now believe there is a specific enzyme critical to the reverse pathway that can be deleted without impairing normal function. If we can eliminate that enzyme, we may be able to starve tumors of their supply of building blocks for growth.”
With the confusion and contradiction is science and the medical profession.
Cracking the cancer’s code isn’t easy. Increasingly, modern cancer research is turning into a form of code-breaking. But with cancer, we are still learning the language. Cancer is a disease of our DNA – the molecule that contains all the instructions we need to be us. It is written using a string of four chemicals, represented by the letters A, T, C and G, and this code stands at more than three billion ‘letters’ long. And it’s the faults in this code that lead to cancer. .
In cancer, metabolic reprogramming through the alteration of oncogenic signaling pathways is viewed as an essential component of malignancy.
Research in cancer metabolism is motivated by the hope that understanding the basis of metabolic reprogramming will stimulate development of new approaches in cancer imaging and therapy, both of which have historically capitalized on altered metabolic states in tumors.
Cancer cells use abundant nutrients like glucose, glutamine and lipids to feed metabolic pathways that sustain energetics, biosynthesis, and redox homeostasis. Our understanding of the relative importance of cell-autonomous and non-cell autonomous influences on metabolic reprogramming is far from complete.
Despite the fact that we’re still by no means fluent in ‘DNA’, we’re making progress, piecing together a basic phrase book, and moving on to more sophisticated sentences. International projects like The Cancer Genome Atlas and the International Cancer Genome Consortium are collating the DNA code from thousands of cancer patients.
My good friend Doris Parreno states, the main reason I survived cancer is because I had the confidence to research, study, implement and encompassed all aspects of healing and used common sense…. if you never clean a house in 50 years.
What will it look like… we are not taught to clean inside of our body… once you do… things work. A lot of people look for the magic pill approach which is what is promoted by the system…. true healing is all encompassing….not a magical oil or pill…. proper hydration, water, nutrients, detox, reduce stress…not every body wants to do what it takes…. it’s not easy. http://www.solitarius.org/2014/07/03/testimony-health-schedule-links/
CONFIRMED: Cancer is entirely a man-made disease. Your Lifestyle Causes Cancer NOT Your Genetics.
Is cancer inherent cell mutations or is cancer caused by environmental and external factors..? That apparently is debatable, as most things in life are. According to a recently published study in Nature, it is believed that diet, drinking, smoking, excessive sun and exposure to toxic chemicals cause cancer.
This would mean, we are able to lower our risks of developing cancer by changing our lifestyle and establishing healthier habits.
While the FDA continues to search for a cure, there are many natural cures and treatments for cancer.
•TheBudwigProtocol: Dr. Johanna food plan for cancer allows you to enjoy many of your favorite recipes while at the same time maintaining a balanced and healthy diet. The principle factor to keep in mind is that now you choose quality food products and natural ingredients. There are many websites that talk about Dr. Budwig food recommendations, however not all of them are accurate. In this interview with Carl O. Helvie Klaus Pertl tells The 3E-Centre is the only centre world wide that offers the „original“ and „strict“ Budwig Diet for people with cancer. https://www.holistichealthshow.com/wordpress/tag/klaus-pertl-germany/
Hemp oil:is made from the flowering buds of the marijuana plant. Making hemp oil is very simple and there are multiple videos on You Tube showing you how to make your own.
This potent and effective cancer treatment has cured thousands. No clinical study had been done because no one can patent it. Without a patent, pharmaceutical companies cannot recoup the millions of dollars required to do the study.
•MMS (Master Mineral Solution): was discovered by an engineer, Jim Humble. He initially used it to cure maleria in the jungles of South America. Jim claims MMS will cure 95% of all cancers. It has 100,000 documented cures of maleria and eight hundred documented cures of AIDS. MMS is a common inexpensive mineral compound and is a safe cancer treatment.
•Gerson Natural Therapy: Dr. Gerson believed cancer would not live in body that had a balanced, properly functioning liver. He discovered that he could cure the majority of cancers by changing the diet. This meant eating a vegan diet (avoiding meat and dairy), with low salt and drinking freshly juiced fruits and vegetables 10 times everyday. Coffee enemas were recommended as part of the treatment for pain relief and detoxification, done 3 to 4 times everyday.
There is a Gerson clinic in Mexico. This is one of the best cancer alternative treatments.
•Antineoplastins: Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski holds a doctorate in biochemistry and is an MD. This doctor is recognized internationally as a scientist and physician who discovered and developed treatment of cancers with biologically active peptides. He discovered that people who have cancer were missing these peptides in their urine and blood. People who do not have cancer have these peptides. Since 1967 from his clinic in Houston, Texas, Dr. Burzynski has treated over 50 types of cancers effectively. The best successes have been with cancers of the ovaries, lungs, colon, prostate, neck and head, breast and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He has possibly discovered the most successful FDA approved drug therapy for cancer ever and his antineoplastins (which have no toxic side effects) significantly outperform any chemotherapy treatment, making it one of the best cancer alternative treatments.
•Pancreatic enzymes: Dr. William Kelley developed a highly effective natural protocol for treating advanced cancers. He did this with pancreatic enzymes and other nutritional substances.
In his second year of med school, Dr. Gonzalez met Dr. Kelley and took five years to research Dr. Kelly’s patient records spaning thousands of patients. After personally interviewing many of these patients, finding them all in good health, Dr. Gonzalez realised something very important was occuring. Today Dr. Gonzalez has refined and improved on Dr. Kelley’s original discoveries giving each patient an individualized diet with supplements and large quantities of enzymes. Coffee enemas, juice fasts and liver flushes are utilized for detoxification.
Dr. Gonzalez graduated from Brown University. He finished his pre-med studies at Columbia University and then went to medial school at Cornell Medical College where he was given the honor of Teagle Scholar. He has received many awards for his excellence in internal medicine and cancer imunology research. He also was recipient of the Ernst L. Wynder Award from the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in 2000.
•Salve treatments: a salve made from bloodroot is used as an alternative treatment for skin cancers. Some names for this are Black Salve, Indian Mud and Compound X. Bloodroot salve will draw the tumors from your body out through the skin, healing underneath as the mass falls out.
•Energy healing: specially trained practitioners heal by projecting energy known in Chinese medicine as Chi or Qi. They use a sonogram so you can see cancer tumors dissolve before your eyes while the practitioners “work” on patients in a Beijing hospital .
•LifeOne: active herbal ingredients include selenium methionine, green tea extract, quercetin, turmeric, resveratrol, diindolymethane, versicolor, coriolus and chrysin.
LifeOne has had clinical trials with cancer patients in Mexico and Venezuela. Dr. Howenstine says, “LifeOne has been able to cure an extremely wide variety of cancer cell types. Invitro testing has shown it to be effective on 7 out of 7 cancer cell types tested, including two types of breast cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer and acute Promyelocytic leukemia.”
•Cesium Chloride: is the most alkalline mineral salt in nature and is non-toxic. It has been a medical treatment since the 1800s and has been used successfully in treating some cancer patients since the 1980s. It is also known for its ability to remove the pain of cancer. This would be a great addition the the Alkaline diet.
•Alkaline diet: The metabolism of cancer cells has a very narrow pH tolerance, if you can interfere with cancer cell metabolism, you can theoretically stop cancer. The proposed alkaline therapy for people is a “high pH therapy” and has been developed to normalize the intracellular pH of the cancer, while increasing the pH of cancer cells to a range above 7.5. According to published research, it is at that pH they experience cell death and revert to normal.
The alkaline diet, which is primarily plant-based and avoids sugar, dairy, wheat and other high-gluten grains. Emphasizing fresh vegetables and vegetable juices along with cruciferous vegetables and greens, changes the body’s intracellular pH.
•Essiac Tea: is a long proven method of curing cancer since the 1920s and before.
Named by Rene Caisse (“caisse” spelt backwards), the tea consists of four main herbs that grow in the wilderness of Ontario, Canada. The original formula is believed to have its roots from the native Canadian Ojibway Indians.
The four main herbs that make up Essiac are Burdock Root, Slippery Elm Inner Bark, Sheep Sorrel and Indian Rhubarb Root.
While the basic components of Essiac are well known, the exact proportions of the herbs in Essiac are the matter of much speculation. The cancer patient should be concerned with the quality of the herbs, and the quality of the processing.
Sheep Sorrel is the main cancer killing herb in Essiac. Sheep Sorrel has been known about for over a hundred years as a cancer fighting herb.
•Whole foods diet: Dr. John McDougall, MD a board certified internist suggests a whole diet. Our diet with 42% of calories coming from fat and the rest of the food processed and devitalized. Animal foods create an acidic pH blood which promotes cancers. Cancer cells feed on sugar and we have gone from a person eating 5 pounds of sugar in a year in 1920 to 150 pounds per person per year! High fructose corn syrup is cancer sugar. Cancer was somewhat rare at the turn of the 20th century. Now 100 years later 1 in 2 people will have cancer.
•Beta glucan: is the most potent immune system enhancer and immunomodulator (more potent and effective than interferon). In Asia, beta glucan is a primary treatment for all types of cancer with over 3,000 published medical studies to support its use.
•Maitake Mushroom (Grifola): Clinical researchers at the National Cancer Center in Japan reports in approximately 80% of animals with cancer who were given maitake mushroom extracts had total elimination of tumors.
•Laetrile (vitamin B17): is the most amazing cure for cancer, and it has been known about for over 35 years. It reacts with cancer cell enzymes to form hydrogen cyanide that destroys the cancer cells on contact. It does this without damaging any of the healthy cells. There are a number of clinics in Tiajuana, Mexico who perform this treatment.
•Carctol: Dr. Rosy Daniel believes Carctol, an East Indian ayurvedic herbal formula, could well be a cure for cancer. The formula was originally put together by Dr. Nandlal Tiwari of Rajasthan, India. He has been treating patients with cancer using this for over twenty years. Dr. Tiwari has case files of 1,900 people who were treated with Carctol were considered to be beyond medical help. According to his records, one fourth of the patients had a 75 to 100 percent improvement. One third reported up to a 75% improvement. Carctol seems to be particularly effective in treating and curing blood cancers and gastro-intestinal cancers.
•Dichloroacetic Acid (DCA): A researcher and professor, Dr. Evangelos Michelakis, has demonstrated that DCA (a small non-toxic molecule) causes reduction in a number of cancers including brain, breast and lung. Remember to supplement for neuropathy 🙂
Dr. Michelakis and Dr. Sebastien Bonnet, published the findings of their research in the medical journal Cancer Cell. Doctors and medical scientists have used DCA for many decades as a treatment for metabolism errors in children that occur with mitochondrial diseases and has been associated with cancer since the 1930s.
“I think DCA can be selective for cancer because it attacks a fundamental process in cancer development that is unique to cancer cells,” Michelakis said. “One of the really exciting things about this compound is that it …. might be able to treat many different forms of cancer.”“If there were a single magic bullet, though, it might be something like dichloroacetate, or DCA…”

•Dendritic Cell Therapy: Cancer cells have defenses against the body’s immune system. The cancer cells are undetectable by our immune system. Cancer cells also prevent normal immune activity which stops any attacks. Dendritic cell therapy destroys these cancer cell defenses allowing the body to make an immune offense to recover. One clinic that offers this is the BioPulse Clinic in Tijuana, Mexico.
•Iscador: is made from certain fermented extracts of the European mistletoe plant. It has been utilized by physicians in Europe since 1920. There are 5,000 case studies on the success in treating cancer with Iscador. There have been two scientific reviews of Iscador clinical research and both have stated that Iscador’s effectiveness as a therapy for cancer is clearly supported by these findings:
-After 3 years, the survival rate for patients with skin cancer who took Iscador was 80 % compared to 65 % for those not taking it
-75 % of bronchial cancer patients taking Iscador were living after 4 years compared to only 35 % of those not taking it
-People with bladder papillomas not taking Iscador experienced a malignancy rate of 50 % while the rate for those taking Iscador was 14 %
-An 83 % five year survival rate for women with cervical cancer if they had surgery, radiation and Iscador while the rate was 69 % for those who had radiation alone
-A significantly larger number of women with breast cancer treated with Iscador were doing well after 10 years than those who had none
•High-dose of Vitamin C intravenously: Since the 1970s, high-doses of vitamin C has been studied as a treatment cancer. Some studies of high-dose vitamin C through an IV, in cancer patients have shown improved quality of life, as well improvements in physical, mental, and emotional functions, symptoms of fatigue, nausea and vomiting, pain, and appetite loss with very little side effects.
Documentary Film is a broad category of visual expression that is based on the attempt, in one fashion or another, to document reality. Knowledge comes in many different ways through our five senses. Hearing, watching, touching, smelling and tasting are the only doorways to the outer world. The wise men say that if something is not truly experienced with all our five senses, the experience will be partial, not total. Therefore in a way almost all our gained knowledge through life is partial. And maybe they are right
We have a symbiotic and dynamic relationship with Mother Earth that goes far beyond the air that we breathe, the water that we drink and the food we eat. Thanks to Mother Earth we live in a sea of energy and the essences that nurture our subtle body, or energy body. Our subtle body is responsible for maintaining our physical body and if- it- is deprived of sufficient energy our well being suffers. Conversely if we absorb more than a sufficient amount of energy, we perk up and healing may be facilitated. http://www.jubileeinitiative.org/makingheavenmother.html
Something new and miraculous is happening in my life these days. I feel I’m entering the next phase of my spiritual evolution. It has to do with what Patricia Albere calls Mutual Awakening, and what my sister, BarbaraMarxHubbard, calls ‘Connecting with the Universal Self.’
Recently, and much to our shared delight, my sister introduced me to Patricia. During our first meeting, Patricia spoke of her mutual awakening with Peter, the great lost love of her life. After losing him in a tragic car accident, she had gone on to find ways to teach and share the incredible states of awakened consciousness and ecstatic presence that they had explored together. I knew then that I had to be part of the year-long intensive that she offers – the Evolutionary Collective.
Part of why I felt so strongly drawn to Patricia’s story and her offering is that much of my life I have been seeking a lost love. On the eve of my sixth birthday, my beloved mother died of breast cancer, and ever since then I have been searching for the unconditional love that so cruelly and suddenly disappeared.
Like so many, I have explored many spiritual traditions, experienced expanded states of conscious and attended countless workshops, as well as taught many classes and seminars. I am happy to say that in recent years I have found the Beloved Within, and have myself become a source of the love that I was seeking.
This sense of a living, loving presence within me has deepened and strengthened as I’ve absorbed and taught The Emergence Process, based on a book by my sister, Barbara, entitled Emergence: The Shift from Ego to Essence. This process guides us to incarnate our Essential Self and become one with our Essence, the Inner Beloved.
Making the shift from ego to Essence is a prerequisite not just for personal evolution but also for mutual awakening, which can happen only when we can communicate with each other from Essence to Essence, and move to spiritual union, Beloved with Beloved in Divine Love.
While this may sound esoteric, shared awakening is actually natural and easy when two or more are in resonance, fully present to and communicating their experience of the present moment. This can take place face to face, when looking in to each other eyes and seeing each other’s souls. More amazingly, it can be as powerful long distance, over the phone, when two or more communicate their authentic experience together out of a fertile and mysterious silence. We move beyond the I-thou relationship to a “We space”, build on each other’s sharing and begin to explore territory that we could not travel alone.
We also often experience a “naturalhigh”. There frequently is playfulness, laughter and shared delight. Boundaries dissolve and consciousness expands; and the dark Void becomes alive, filled with light, love and joy. The present moment becomes luminous, multi-dimensional, and revelatory. We experience a loving resonant field lifting us into unexpected dimensions of communion and a sense that consciousness is evolving itself through us.
I find that with both the Emergence Process and Mutual Awakening practices, I often feel that I’m falling in love. My body fills with soft bliss. I have orgasms of the heart. It is a Big Love that completely transcends the possessiveness that comes with sexual relationships. The Inner Beloved is ecstatic as it meets itself in many beautiful hearts and souls. I’ve called this “spiritual polyamory”.
While I have been engaged in Mutual Awakening only since November, I recently told my practice partner from this training, “I believe I will never feel alone again.” “I feel the same way,” was her immediate reply.
After searching a lifetime to find the love I lost when my mother died, I know the ache of longing for that love, and the profound and lasting joy that comes with finding it. I am devoted to supporting others in finding their own Beloved within, and with that in mind, am thrilled to be teaching a twenty-four week Emergence Process TeachingIntensive on Shift Network starting this April (See the bio below)
Divine Eros truly is alive and well. It is what our separated selves and our precious world most urgently need so that we become whole, whole-hearted and together create Heaven on earth. It is the next step in our collective evolution.

Patricia Albere
Patricia Albere …. is at ground zero of an evolutionary stream of spiritual awakening. She is the founder and director of the Evolutionary Collective and an internationally known contemporary spiritual teacher and author.
The Spiritual Heart — is in a way a little like a smart phone, invisibly connecting us to a large network of information. It is through an unseen energy that the heart emits that humans are profoundly connected to all living things.
The energy of the heart literally links us to each other. Every person’s heart contributes to a ‘collective field environment.’ This video explains the importance of this connection and how we each add to this collective energy field. The energetic field of the heart even connects us with the earth itself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdneZ4fIIHE
The best way to experience what Patricia teaches is through 5GATEWAYS, the popular documentary below. The film …. which has been remastered in 2015. SO here’s the 93 minute full feature film. I feel that its meant to reach many people, so please share widely.
5GATEWAYS is a profound route map for spiritual evolution, handed down through the eons by the masters, which is only now making its way into humanity’s collective consciousness.
It helps you perceive your life as a journey of Enlightenment, expanding greatly your sense of inner peace, unfolding authentic beingness, bringing great success and fulfillment.
In understanding and applying it to your life, helps remove uncertainty, clarifies your true destiny, and helps you unfold that. It can catalyse your next evolutionary leap.

y…ou are a personal Hero of mine. 🙄
I was dying… I did not know anything at all about what was happening to me. I went at least 6 times with tears rolling down my face begging for help. I was turned away.
Further into it when I knew what I was dealing with, I took the list of symptoms, pictures of Stachybotrys from my house etc.
I was thinking that doctors…. they will be able to know how to help me now.
.
Instead, I felt like they didn’t believe me. Nothing was done, no questions nothing just silence and moved on. In the third and final stage of Mycotoxicosis… I made one last try… I knew I was dying.
While at the Drs office I contracted Strep. SO I called them back… I was so sick, but I felt like it was still thought to be my overactive imagination.
It is a horrible thing to go through. Zero support, I could not find help. I had family members who thought I was making it up too.
When I found your group, Just knowing someone out there cared and I was not the only one kept me from totally falling into despair. May 2, God gave me divine intervention. I have improved to an almost normal life. I just have to detox, probiotics like you told me and a few supplements.
.
MY Ionic Foot Detox is the bombdiggity. Some of us just don’t detox. I had fibromyalgia and other symptoms for years… it turns out it is because I’ve been toxic the whole time. I apply Oregano Oil on bottom of feet every night! I use Frankincense. Drops under the tongue… plus B12 and I just get the GNC brand of probiotics. Treatment-Resistant Fungal Infections.

Ken my whole Life has been of a survivor that’s all I know,
this is my story and I’m gonna be honest. ♥️♥️
I started this music thing at the age of 4.
It is all I’ve ever known or done. 💕💕💕
.
When I reached my 20s, I was beating my head against the wall trying to “make it”….
I did not know God at the time but it was so hard I got frustrated and began to be angry with Him … because I had given my life…. and I could not get any help… So I moved to Nashville in 1989 and became the “starving musician”. Fail… fail… wound up coming full circle.
There is a lot more to this story….. but it will have to be in a book …
Because of that pursuit of a dream for so many years and so many disappointments. So many bands, contests, more banging my head against the wall, tears, downward spiral…and the mess it brought into my life…. in 1992 I gave up. I was spent and empty and lost.
SO I went into a bathroom with a loaded gun. I was done. But at that moment God spoke to my thoughts… He said ” If you are really done with that life, why don’t you give it to me.”
That was my turning point. I repented and turned my dream over to God. I meant business and I started getting rid of everything in my life that was not pleasing to Him. He knew the desires of my heart, but the only way that was acceptable to God was to let Him do it, or not do it. I just went back to the little things… faithful to church, faithful to use my talent in a small way, faithful in every thought and deed that I could be.
Little by little …. as I walked with God, He was faithful too. It was a journey with lots of twists turns valleys and hills…. In 2002, now along with daughter and husband. A national network put our music on the air for the first time. The song was He Kissed My Heartache. It went straight to #1 on that network. We got picked up by a national distributor and then our product went in Christian bookstores nationwide.
Not for the sake of saying look at me, but I’m going to leave a look back at the LOOK AT WHAT GOD DID years…. This is the only way I know to tell someone how to have true success. The Bible says if you lose your life, then you will find it. The star belongs to Him. When you lay that at His feet, he does great things with your life, and the talent HE gave you….
This is my advice. Being honest, I do know people, but that door is sealed. Only God can open that door. I just gave you the only key to it. After my dream died and I allowed Gods dream to be born in my life… here are some of the things… He did. It’s Proof that it works! The real blessings of life are people, family, friends, and our relationship with God. When God chooses to allow us to accomplish things in our lives, the key is HE always gets the glory.
We could never do anything on our own apart from Jesus making it possible. Thanks to whoever was responsible for giving us these memories. Most are nominations, but to us that is a great honor. Thank you for these trophies Lord, but we lay them at your precious feet.
If the source of my ambition is the treasure I obtain, If I measure my successes on a scale of earthly gain; If the focus of my vision is the status I attain, My accomplishments are worthless and my efforts are in vain.
So I lay aside these trophies to pursue a higher crown,
And should You choose somehow to use the life I willingly lay down;
I surrender all the triumph for it’s only by Your grace,
I relinquish all the glory, I surrender all the praise.

These brainwaves provide different frequencies each responsible for providing a trace for the brain activities. This means, you will have a different kind of behavior with every frequency produced by the brain. This is to say, an angry person will display a different level of brain wave compared to the same person when he is in a happier mood.
Therefore, researchers who have been interested in the difference between emotions and brainwaves have come up with a remedy to determine how one is reacting to certain conditions around him. This is through altering the specific kind of waves available at a certain time. If you are stressed up at times, you need to change this frequency from Beta to Alpha.
The beta state is where the brain is transmitting waves which makes one feel anger as well as hunger. For you to achieve a relaxed and serene kind of atmosphere, you need to find a way to get the positive vibes associated with the Alpha frequencies. These will get rid of too much stress in your body giving you an aura of freshness and positivity.
Being able to control the brainwaves, you have been able to crack the instances for poor emotional state. With this, you have managed to see the similarity of emotions and brainwaves.
The best way to have the best emotions and brainwaves relationship using Alpha is through downloading the Binaural beats. This is a recording that helps the brain get back to the state of relaxation and happiness. This is because it produces an amount of frequency that translates to the body as relaxation and less worry. These are well engineered recordings that are played back through the normal stereo headphones.
The main task for this is to provide you with the ability for your brain to determine the kind of frequency should be used to achieve relaxation. Through this, the music is recorded on different frequencies for each ear.
The difference between the two frequencies is what has been designed to gain access to the brain. The relationship between the emotions and brainwaves is clearly seen here because none of the two can function on its own.
Light is used to symbolize God, faith or holiness throughout scripture. Use Bible verses to gain a better understanding and interpretation of the positive notion light has in the Bible. Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness. See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.
If we are to fully understand how emotional blockage makes us feel we must fully understand brain waves.
“There is force in the universe, which, if we permit it, will flow through us and produce miraculous results.”

Lisa Park does not have telekinesis—you can tell by the EEG headset affixed to her skull. But if you ignore the black sensors wrapped around her head and watch the pools of water below, it looks as though she’s pulling off some serious Carrie-style mind manipulation.
In Eunoia II, Park controls 48 pools of water using just her brainwaves. The rippling water appears to move through sheer will, but it’s actually the result 14 EEG sensors capturing Park’s emotions and translating them into sound waves.
The music pipes through speakers attached to the bottom of each plate and causes the water to vibrate. On command Park can increase the volume of music or change the intensity of vibrations in the pools of water. Think of it as a direct visualization of what Park is feeling at any given moment.
Eunoia II is a continuation (and expansion) of Eunoia, a similar installation Park created last year while a student at New York University’s ITP program. In the previous iteration of the installation, Lisa Park also controlled five pools of water, each of which had speakers underneath to induce the vibrating. The goal in the original Euonia project …. was to make her mind as still as possible—any motion you saw in the water was evidence of Park’s mind beginning to wander. Euonia II is all about expressing emotion. The 48 speakers are a nod to the 48 emotions the philosopher Baruch Spinoza described in his book Ethics.

For most of us, our dominant brain wave is Beta, as we use this frequency when we’re awake and focused. The Beta brain wave … helps us get through the day and logically make decisions. You can be in different stages of Beta depending on your actions, forexample, if you’re teaching or in a deep conversation, you would be in Beta, however if you were giving a speech, you would be in high Beta.
If we spend all day being in Beta, going from one highly focused situation to the next, this can cause problems as you’re in a continual state of concentration, leading to muscle tension, high blood pressure, anxiety and exhaustion. Being in Beta Wave for too long also doesn’t give you an opportunity to produce the all-important Alpha brain waves.
Alpha occurs in deep relaxation and these brain waves incidentally reduce anxiety and stress, therefore by operating largely in Beta, we’re not only stressing ourselves out, but also decreasing our minds natural capacity to deal with stress and anxiety. During Alpha, we’re relaxed, yet alert, and emotionally we feel pleasure and tranquility.
Alpha gives your mind and body a chance to relax, meaning it’s a great time to recharge your mind. It gives you the strength to deal with stress. Listening to meditation or learning audios during the Alpha states allows for deeper learning and is a time where you can come up with powerful and enlightened ideas.
Moving beyond consciousness and delving deeply into the subconscious mind is Theta brain waves, which are present while you’re dreaming and in deep meditation. While operating in Theta, you experience increased creativity, inspiration and have a connection to truth, inner strength and experience visualizations.
After Theta is Delta, which is only achieved during deep sleep. These brain waves are not necessary for daily functioning; they also connect you closer to the subconscious mind and even increase levels of empathy. Although being in Delta too much can leave you feeling emotionally drained and unfocused.
The brain uses a quarter of the body’s entire energy supply, yet only accounts for about two percent of the body’s mass. So how does this unique organ receive and, perhaps more importantly, rid itself of vital nutrients? New research suggests it has to do with sleep. https://www.ted.com/talks/jeff_iliff_one_more_reason_to_get_a_good_night_s_sleep
How to safely and effortlessly release negative emotions to heal your illness and heal yourself … Meditation slows your brain waves to an alpha stste of 7.8-11htz.
Theta relaxation, dreaming, meditation and hypnosis. brainwaves are present during deep Theta brainwaves can be a source of creativity, intuition, increased memory and enhanced concentration. When theta brainwaves are induced by certain mental practices and specialised brain entrainment products like the Healing Trance-Formations recording, they lower stress and anxiety levels, as well as facilitate healing and growth.
Benefits of stimulating our brain with theta brainwaves:
Mind and body healing
During theta brainwave activity, both the body and mind experience enhanced rejuvenation, growth, and healing. Due to the deep levels of relaxation that theta brainwaves facilitate, the body, mind, spirit are easily able to restore themselves during and after illness, as well as after mental burnout and physical exertion.
Boosted immune system
Increasing your theta brainwaves helps to optimise your immune system’s function due to the fact that theta brainwaves are associated with vitality and the elimination of stress. Stress and anxiety can do harm to the immune system by releasing a surplus of harmful chemicals such as adrenaline, including the hormone cortisol, which in oversupply are damaging to the immune system. Theta brainwaves activate …. the release of pleasant chemicals and neurotransmitters to help keep your immune system at its peak.
Deep levels of relaxation
Theta brainwaves are most common during sleep, deep meditation, self hypnosis and amongst young children. Through entraining your brain to theta rhythm, you can access pleasantly relaxed states that are rare amongst adults during daily routines.
Stress and anxiety reduction
Theta brainwave entrainment causes deep mental and physical relaxation, which in turn reduces stress and anxiety levels.
Intuition increase
Through accessing theta brainwaves, your intuition will increase as well as your ability to identify “gut” feelings. In other words, your ability to ‘see’ and ‘hear’ outside the borders of the physical senses expands, and therefore your perception of reality expands too. Through training your brain with meditation, self hypnosis or brain entrainment, you awaken your deeper intelligence, also known as the ‘inner genius’.
Subconscious connection
Theta brainwaves allow you to connect deeply with your unconscious mind (subconscious). Your unconscious mind is the collective intelligence of all cells in your body. It regulates all your autonomic body functions. It houses your emotions, imagination, memory, habits, intuition, and is your personal pathway to even more subtle levels of consciousness.
Ability to program your unconscious mind (subconscious)
Meaningful personal transformation results from a shift in the unconscious mind.
The only way to reach and change major set beliefs and emotional responses of the unconscious mind is through hypnosis or theta brainwave entrainment.
.
Through self hypnosis or theta brain entrainment, you can access the unconscious mind for the purpose of facilitating core healing and change. Therefore theta brainwave entrainment is a great resource for both Hypnotherapists, as – well – as those using self hypnosis.
The use of affirmations, mental imagery and hypnotic suggestion is far more effective when your brain is in theta rhythm. In this state you bypass your conscious mind that often acts as a “filter” and prevents you from changing your unwanted thought and behaviour patterns.
Through being deeply relaxed, your unconscious mind accepts any healing related statements or mental pictures that you give it, without question, and begins to act on it immediately. Therefore it’s easier to clear any thought and behaviour patterns that you may want to change, and to install new, desirable thinking and attitudes as part of your personal development and growth.
High levels of creativity
Theta brainwave dominance is often found in highly creative individuals. Many talented musicians, inventors, and artists are found to have extremely higher than average amounts of theta brainwaves. Through entraining theta brainwaves your creativity will be enhanced.
Advanced problem solving skills
Theta brain waves help you to overcome “mental blocks” and enable you to access the FLOW state. The inability to solve problems is related to your inability to change your mental state. Inducing theta brainwaves changes your mental state and thereby offers new levels of thought and perception that enable you to approach any problem with greater resourcefulness. Theta brainwaves have also been associated with the ability to “hyperfocus” which means staying intensely focused and motivated with one idea.
Increase of the learning ability
It has been said that as your brain enters the frequencies of the theta range, you will be able to retain over 300% more information than you can while in your normal daily (beta brainwave) state. Theta brainwaves allow people to learn large amounts of information in a much quicker time than beta brainwave state.
Research has been done on language learning and development, claiming that the reason why children are able to pick up new languages so quickly is because of their increased amount of theta brainwaves. Adults and students of a new foreign language may greatly benefit from shifting their brainwaves to the theta range.
Improve long-term memory
As theta brainwaves increase, the ability of the brain to recall and store long-term memories increases. The hippocampus, is a part of the brain involved in storing and processing memories, normally has a theta brainwave rhythm. With increasing levels of stress, beta brainwaves ‘disrupt’ the hippocampus. This is why stressed people often have a poor ability to recall long-term memories. One of the reasons why Hypnotherapy is effective is because clients, through having theta brainwaves induced, are able to recall “forgotten memories” as part of certain healing processes.
Emotional connection
Theta brainwaves are associated with your ability to feel emotions. Blocked or suppressed emotions can be experienced when theta brainwaves are stimulated. In this way you can learn to feel and understand your emotions better.
Bridges the spiritual connection
Many consider the peaceful and blissful state associated with theta brainwaves to be the bridge between the physical body and the spiritual realms. In the theta brainwave rhythm people sense a deep spiritual connection. According to some, the theta brainwave range provides enhanced spiritual awareness and profound insight. Many spiritual experiences and phenomena are commonly experienced in the theta brainwave state.
Paranormal experiences
For those who are open to it, theta brainwaves are also associated with psychic experiences, such as Out Of Body Experiences, remote vision, ESP, and other phenomena. Even though most paranormal and psychic experiences can be argued to be real or fake, there is evidence that most people tend to have them when their mind has theta brainwave dominance. Some psychics are apparently able to access theta brainwaves in order to connect with non-physical beings and subtle realms of consciousness.
Technically, theta brainwaves are patterns of electrical activity of the brain ranging from 4 to 8 Hz. Here are the typical qualities of the entire theta range:
4.5 Hz – Brings about Shamanic/Tibetan state of consciousness, Tibetan chants.
4.9 Hz – Induce relaxation and deeper sleep
4.9 Hz – Introspection. Relaxation, meditation
5 Hz – Reduces sleep required. Theta replaces need for extensive dreaming
5.35 Hz – Allows relaxing breathing, free and efficient
5.5 Hz – Inner guidance, intuition
6.5 Hz – Centre of Theta frequency. Activates creative frontal lobe
7.5 Hz – Activates creative thought for art, invention, music. Problem solving
7.5 Hz – Ease of overcoming troublesome issues
7.83 Hz – Schumann earth resonance. Grounding, meditative, Leaves you revitalized
3 – 8 Hz – Deep relaxation, meditation. Lucid dreaming
3 – 8 Hz – Increased memory, focus, creativity
4 – 7 Hz – Profound inner peace, emotional healing. Lowers mental fatigue
4 – 7 Hz – Deep meditation, near-sleep brainwaves.
Interestingly, the planet Earth resonates at a Theta frequency of 7.83 Hz, a frequency known as Schumann Resonance.
The Healing Trance-Formations recording entrains your brainwaves to 7Hz, for almost the full duration of the one hour track, and increases to 12Hz in the final 6 minutes, to leave you in alpha state (relaxed body and alert mind) at the end of the track.
Important Medical Warning
If you are using a pacemaker, or if you have had or are prone to seizures, or are epileptic, then brain entrainment technologies (included in many of the recordings available on this website), should only be used with permission from your Medical Doctor.
Theta brainwaves are typically more predominant amongst those with ADD, therefore using products that stimulate theta brainwaves is not recommended for people with ADD. If you have been diagnosed with ADD or think that you may have this disposition, please only use our theta brainwave producing recordings* with the permission and care of your Medical Doctor.

The EEG (electroencephalograph) measures brainwaves of different frequencies within the brain. Electrodes are placed on specific sites on the scalp to detect and record the electrical impulses within the brain. A frequency is the number of times a wave repeats itself within a second. It can be compared to the frequencies that you tune into on your radio. If any of these frequencies are deficient, excessive, or difficult to access, our mental performance can suffer.
The raw EEG has usually been described in terms of frequency bands: Gamma greater than 30(Hz) BETA (13-30Hz), ALPHA (8-12 Hz), THETA (4-8 Hz), and DELTA (less than 4 Hz).
For example: Our brain uses 13Hz (high alpha or low beta) for “active” intelligence. Often we find individuals who exhibit learning disabilities and attention problems having a deficiency of 13Hz activity in certain brain regions that affects the ability to easily perform sequencing tasks and math calculations.
Do you, like most people, often suffer from a vague sense that something is not OK, fleeting, disturbing emotions and memories, vague aches and pains, sleeplessness, anxiety? Where do these feelings and memories come from? And what can you do to ease the pain? Is it really just “all in your head?”
Theta brainwaves are the rhythm of REM sleep, the source of lucid dreams, the dreamy consciousness, just before sleep, and just upon awakening. Theta brainwaves, measured at 4-7 Hz, are the doorway to the subconscious world; while we are in the Theta state, the mind and body is capable of deep and profound healing and learning; the Theta brainwave is where our minds connect to the Soul, and the Divine. It seems, that while we stand upon the threshold of the conscious, and the unconscious, miracles can happen, spontaneous healings, of mind, body and soul.
We access the miraculous Theta brainwave state not only during our night time dreams, but during our day dreams, when we are gifted with inspiration and insights, fanciful ideas, and beautiful imaginings, when we seem to see the world in Technicolor.
It is a state of deep peace, and centered calm. Often, while meditating in a Theta state, we can access the hidden reasons for not only our emotional and mental attitudes, but also, for our physical ailments as well.
Traditional meditation techniques, which often take years to learn, aim at achieving a Theta brainwave state consciously; there are also new methods of meditation, such as binaural beats and isochronic tones, which use sound therapy techniques to externally manipulate the brainwaves. This can be very effective; within minutes, the user can achieve the desired brainwave state, with precision and ease, accessing the peace of mind, that facilitates physical and emotional healing, and enlightens the mind.
The Chakras are the energy centers of the body; there are seven main Chakras, each centered within a nerve plexus, and endocrine gland, and each governing not only various parts of the human body, but also, different aspects of the human consciousness.
The energy, the attitudes and emotions, withheld within the chakras, blocks the flow of energy throughout the body, causing discomfort, and disease, not only mentally and emotionally, but also physically. By releasing this stagnant energy, we can release our natural ability to heal, on all levels.
Each Chakra has a sound; traditionally, these Chakra sounds have been chanted, with deep intonations, vibrating throughout the body. Crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, attuned to these Chakra tones, have also been traditionally used to access and release the energies bound within the Chakras. A deep, meditative state is also necessary for these traditional methods to work. When energy is released from the Chakras through meditation, often, a flood of emotions and memories will flow, followed almost instantly, by a deep sense of peace and calm.
By combining the use of deep, Theta level sound healing techniques, such as binaural beats and isochronic tones, with the traditional sounds and tones associated with the Chakras, modern day miracles can happen; an almost instantaneous release of energy, washing throughout the body, and relief from physical, emotional and mental pain can be achieved. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TCiKTzkWo8
Brain Wave Frequencies:
DELTA (0.1 to 3.5 Hz)
The lowest frequencies are delta. These are less than 4 Hz and occur in deep sleep and in some abnormal processes. It is the dominant rhythm in infants up to one year of age and it is present in stages 3 and 4 of sleep. It tends to be the highest in amplitude and the slowest waves. We increase Delta waves in order to decrease our awareness of the physical world. We also access information in our unconscious mind through Delta. Peak performers decrease Delta waves when high focus and peak performance are required.
However, most individuals diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder, naturally increase rather than decrease Delta activity when trying to focus. The inappropriate Delta response often severely restricts the ability to focus and maintain attention. It is as if the brain is locked into a perpetual drowsy state.Another way to look at Delta is to imagine you are driving in a car and you shift into 1st gear….you’re not going to get anywhere very fast. So Delta would represent 1st gear.
DELTA (0.1-3 Hz): Distribution: generally broad or diffuse; may be bilateral, widespread
Subjective feeling states: deep, dreamless sleep, non-REM sleep, trance, unconscious
Associated tasks & behaviors: lethargic, not moving, not attentive
Physiological correlates: not moving, low-level of arousal
Effects of training: can induce drowsiness, trance, deeply relaxed states
THETA (4-8 Hz)
The next brainwave is theta. Theta activity has a frequency of 3.5 to 7.5 Hz and is classed as “slow” activity. It is seen in connection with creativity, intuition, daydreaming, and fantasizing and is a repository for memories, emotions, sensations.
Theta waves are strong during internal focus, meditation, prayer, and spiritual awareness. It reflects the state between wakefulness and sleep and relates to the subconscious mind.
It is abnormal in awake adults but is perfectly normal in children up to 13 years old. It is also normal during sleep. Theta is believed to reflect activity from the limbic system and hippocampal regions. Theta is observed in anxiety, behavioral activation and behavioral inhibition.
When the theta rhythm appears to function normally it mediates and/or promotes adaptive, complex behaviors such as learning and memory. Under unusual emotional circumstances, such as stress or disease states, there may be an imbalance of three major transmitter systems, which results in aberrant behavior. Back to our car example, Theta would be considered 2nd gear. Not as slow as 1st gear (Delta) but still not very fast.
THETA (3.5-7.5 Hz): Distribution: usually regional, may involve many lobes, can be lateralized or diffuse;
Subjective feeling states: intuitive, creative, recall, fantasy, imagery, creative, dreamlike, switching thoughts, drowsy; “oneness”, “knowing”
Associated tasks & behaviors: creative, intuitive; but may also be distracted, unfocused
Physiological correlates: healing, integration of mind/body
Effects of Training: if enhanced, can induce drifting, trance-like state. If suppressed, can improve concentration, ability to focus attention
ALPHA (8-12 Hz)
Alpha waves are those between 8 and 12(Hz). Alpha waves will peak around 10Hz. Good healthy alpha production promotes mental resourcefulness, aids in the ability to mentally coordinate, enhances overall sense of relaxation and fatigue. In this state you can move quickly and efficiently to accomplish whatever task is at hand. When Alpha predominates most people feel at ease and calm.
Alpha appears to bridge the conscious to the subconscious. It is the major rhythm seen in normal relaxed adults – it is present during most of life especially beyond the thirteenth year when it dominates the resting tracing. Alpha rhythms are reported to be derived from the white matter of the brain. The white matter can be considered the part of the brain that connects all parts with each other.
Alpha is a common state for the brain and occurs whenever a person is alert (it is a marker for alertness and sleep), but not actively processing information. They are strongest over the occipital (back of the head) cortex and also over frontal cortex. Alpha has been linked to extroversion (introverts show less), creativity (creative subjects show alpha when listening and coming to a solution for creative problems), and mental work.
When your alpha is within normal ranges we tend to also experience good moods, see the world truthfully, and have a sense of calmness. Alpha is one of the brain’s most important frequency to learn and use information taught in the classroom and on the job. You can increase alpha by closing your eyes or deep breathing or decrease alpha by thinking or calculating. Alpha-Theta training can create an increase in sensation, abstract thinking and self-control. In our car scenario, Alpha would represent neutral or idle. Alpha allows us to shift easily from one task to another.
Subjective feeling states: relaxed, not agitated, but not drowsy; tranquil, conscious
Associated tasks & behaviors: meditation, no action
Physiological correlates: relaxed, healing
Effects of Training: can produce relaxation
Sub band low alpha: 8-10: inner-awareness of self, mind/body integration, balance
Sub band high alpha: 10-12: centering, healing, mind/body connection
BETA (above 12 Hz)
Beta activity is ‘fast’ activity. It has a frequency of 14 and greater Hz. It reflects desynchronized active brain tissue. It is usually seen on both sides in symmetrical distribution and is most evident frontally. It may be absent or reduced in areas of cortical damage.
It is generally regarded as a normal rhythm and is the dominant rhythm in those who are alert or anxious or who have their eyes open.
It is the state that most of brain is in when we have our eyes open and are listening and thinking during analytical problem solving, judgment, decision making, processing information about the world around us.
Beta would represent overdrive or hyperdrive in our car scenario.
The beta band has a relatively large range, and has been divided into low, midrange and high.
LOW BETA (12-15HZ): Distribution: localized by side and by lobe (frontal, occipital, etc)
Subjective feeling states: relaxed yet focused, integrated
Associated tasks & behaviors: low SMR can reflect “ADD”, lack of focused attention
Physiological correlates: is inhibited by motion; restraining body may increase SMR
Effects of Training: increasing SMR can produce relaxed focus, improved attentive abilities,
MID BETA (15-18hz): Distribution: localized, over various areas. May be focused on one electrode.
Subjective feeling states: thinking, aware of self & surroundings
Associated tasks & behaviors: mental activity
Physiological correlates: alert, active, but not agitated
Effects of Training: can increase mental ability, focus, alertness
HIGH BETA (above 18hz): Distribution: localized, may be very focused.
Subjective feeling states: alertness, agitation
Associated tasks & behaviors: mental activity, e.g. math, planning
Physiological correlates: general activation of mind & body functions.
Effects of Training: can induce alertness, but may also produce agitation
GAMMA (above 30 Hz)
GAMMA (above 30hz Hz): Distribution: very localized
Subjective feeling states: thinking; integrated thoughts
Associated tasks & behaviors: high-level information processing, “binding”
Physiological correlates: associated with information-rich task processing
Effects of Training: not known
Gamma is measured between 30 and 44 (Hz) and is the only frequency group found in every part of the brain. When the brain needs to simultaneously process information from different areas, its hypothesized that the 40Hz activity consolidates the required areas for simultaneous processing. A good memory is associated with well-regulated and efficient 40Hz activity, whereas a 40Hz deficiency creates learning disabilities.
