Leukemia & Lymphoma

It’s abroad spectrum of diseases affecting the blood, bone marrow and  lymphoid systemBecause leukemia prevents the immune system from working properly,  some patients experience feeling sick, nausea, fever,     chills, night sweats while feeling fatigue and other flu-like symptoms.

Due to an enlarged liver or spleen weight loss occurs due to a feeling             of fullness regardless. If the leukemic cells invade the central nervous       system then neurological symptoms (headaches) can occur. No single       known cause  and  it’s a quiz  of the vast types of leukemia that exist.

However,  like other cancers,  results from the mutations in the  DNA       and these mutations may occur spontaneously or result from exposure           to radiation or carcinogenic substances.  Amongst  adults these known  causes natural ionizing radiation  &  some chemicals  although we must be aware of the clinical trials  and  protocol  that can  be of assistance to  leukemia patients.

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

Lou Gehrig’s  claim to fame  came on the night of  June 2nd,  1925  when  Miller Huggins benched Walter Clement Pipp due to all things a headache.   While later Wally Pipp was sold to the Cincinnati Reds in 1926,  therefore, playing an additional 372 games before retiring three seasons later.

Gehrig went onto start in a consecutive game streak of 2130 games, only ending when Lou became stricken by the fatal neuromuscular disease on   May 2nd, 1939.  Then on June 21, 1939 the New York Yankees announced    Lou Gehrig’s retirement, and proclaimed that July 4th, 1939, Lou Gehrig  Appreciation Day at Yankee Stadium.          Alzheimers Answers.

That Day, the Yankees retired  Lou Gehrig’s uniform number “4” and   Gehrig gave his farewell, “The Luckiest Man  On The Face of the Earth”  speech which turned out to be an emotional tear dropper.  Lou died  on         June 2, 1941 at the age of 37 years old.

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis  (A.L.S.)  and for those approximately     30,000 people in the United States (350,000 people worldwide living            with A.L.S. with an average life expectancy of between three and five        years. The cause still remains unclear, although, with no known cure     existing…. I’ll try to determine  a starting point   (maybe stem cell.)

Lou Gehrig Disease is a dreadful disease of the nerve cells in the               brain and spinal cord that controls voluntary muscle movements.               With approximately fourteen new cases being diagnosed each day  nationwide  with most cases being between the  ages of  40 and  70.                     Video Series????

Gehrig during his stretch run of 2130 games played consecutively              with several blows taken to his head. Reportly have six concussions              from flagrant bean balls,  one so bad,   his head was swollen and he                 had  to wear Babe Ruth’s ballcap. Lead some experts to believe this               may  have been the cause that superseded his illness.

Another thing Gehrig always stated was….  what helped him get             through his streak was his cigarettes.  Some suggested that maybe           some of the chemicals in cigarettes damaged the neurons from the          nitric oxide or free radicals generated and other by – products such                    as  formaldehyde that are associated with the disease.

One study shows that out of  1,000,000 smokers that 832  of them              came down with  A.L.S.  This may not be startling  when you consider               the percentage, however, when you consider that only 30,000 people             are known to have A.L.S. at any given time. If everybody would smoke               in America that number would balloon to 2.6 million.

Brain Tumors

Specifically, statistics concerning brain tumors and known causes will be bantered about in this blog post. When we explore the probabilities (onetwothree  and  four) and then include the possibilities  (onetwo,  three  and  four).    While  taking  into  account  that brain tumors are  rare in children  3 out of 100,000…. known risk factors  family history.

Whereas in adults factors such as  the use of  aspartame, radiation exposure, cell phones, formaldehyde, aflatoxin b1, vinyl chloride, and acrylonitrile (cigarette smoke are known causes.  Thereby,  trying  to  understand  the  factscauses  and  effectssymptoms  and diagnosis, treatments and clinical trials can be misguided and confusing.   Brain Cysts?

Colorectal Cancer

Colon cancer  better known as  bowel cancer  that is a an  elaborate            muscle with uncontrolled cell growth in the large intestine, rectum,   appendix or addendum.   Colorectal cancer  is a disease  originating            from the epithelial cells lining the colon or rectum from the gastro-           intestinal tract.     (Energy Healer.)     (human nature.)

Another highly debatable  and  worth considering element  is the      chemicals in cooked meat. Researchers will speak of their impacts            when  heterocylicamines,  polycyclic  aromatic  hydrocarbons  and        creatine is heated in cook meat and how that influences cancer.

Most frequently  result of mutations in the Wnt signaling pathway           that will artificially increase signaling activity. Better than 75 – 95%                   of colon cancer occurs in people with little to no genetic risk.   With   diagnosis via tumor biopsy typically done during sigmoidoscopy or colonoscopy  procedures giving cancer patients promise.

With the extent of the disease then determined by a CT-Scan of the         chest, abdomen and pelvis. The most common colon cancer cell type                is  adenocarcinoma  which accounts for 95% of all cases.   With the             other rarer types that include( non-hodgkinslymphoma and also     squamous cell carcinoma.       LINAC Xray Technology

Often overlooked and misunderstood because most doctors with                 degrees just don’t want to do business  in  the basement.  While  we are talking colon lets talk how hemorrhoids can cause heart attacks                   if they are left untreated because all organs work in unison. With an obstruction  in  the  colon…. most doctors should realize when those hemorrhoids become uncontrollable it’s unbearable.

Hemorrhoids develope  like varicose veins  in  the  legs  becoming            swollen  and  distended,  however,  when  blood clots form inside any   external hemorrhoid  the  pain  can  be  sudden  and  severe.  Because             the blood vessels involved must continually battle gravity to get blood         back up to the heart, some people believe hemorrhoids are part of the      price some of us pay for being upright people.

By  age  50,  about half the population has experience one or more                 of the classic symptoms,  which includes rectal pain, itching, bleeding           and possibly prolapse  (hemorrhoids  that  protrude through the anal        canal.) Although hemorrhoids  are  rarely life threatening they can be recurrent and intrusive.

My own experience with intrusive:  I had a colony of hemorrhoids            with a polpy a few years back.  That showed signs before treatment of pressure in the chest, stingers in the shins when walking long distance,       pain in the buttocks, lower back pain and anything else that makes life unpleasant.

My recommendation through this experience is to find a proctogist         whom treats hemorrhoids non surgically with Phenobarbital.  That has        the wisdom to know the difference between  zinc oxide  and  knows that Preparation H  &  Tucks  leaves  hemorrhoids itching  when   your  bout      with them gets horrible enough.    Top Over the Counters???

Third of April 2006

Being the rarity of sarcoma cancer and some physicians lack of experience    in dealing with this  type of cancer.  Most patients leave  God’s  Green  Earth feeling a victim of circumstance….  a human guinea pig with doubts in their mind when all said and done.    Q&A’s for cancer detailed???

If you truly want to be in the know google search sarcoma cancer, ask.com, Info.com or webcrawler. Also, one must consider Cleveland Clinic, IUHealth, John Hopkins Kimmel Sarcoma CenterMD AndersonMemorial Sloan and  Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center.

For further information their are foundations to seek out for support and  information:  Amschwand Sarcoma Cancer FoundationSarcoma Alliance, Everyday Health, Cancer Link USA, Sarcoma Cancer.net  and with two very important articles Fox News. Com and Cancer Network.com!!!!

April 4th, 1983  and  just  23  years  ago  Jim  Valvano  lead  his  underdog      N.C. State Wolfpack  to the promise land  by beating  the Clyde Drexler  and Hakeem Olajuwon  Houston team  whom  was  on  a  26 game win streak to a buzzer beater to win the N.C.A.A. National Championship.

It was hard to believe just ten years later when Adenocarcinoma proved to   be the toughest opponent he would face losing his battle. On and off the court Jimmy V was a true living legend and can be remembered by this article from this Sports Illustrated titled:    I’m Fighting To Live.

Prenatal Smoking

Certain criterion states that in cases where mothers who do not smoke  during pregnancy. In their children  1.4 per 1000 children   end up with cancer,  whereas,  the mothers  whom smoke  0.9 per 1000  of those    children  (can you believe  that smokers children  are less  likely to get cancer   versus non smokers children.)

An  The University of Louisville  studied  410 pregnant women  in 1996,   measuring levels  of three tobacco carcinogens  in the mothers  and  their newborns.    The  three carcinogens  measured where  benzo(a)pyrene    (which causes lung and skin cancer),  4-aminobiphenyl    (which causes bladder cancer) and acrylonitrile  (which causes liver cancer.)

This study found levels of these three chemicals were four to five times higher in the passive smokers newborns than in the non smokers infants,   they were 10 to 20 times higher in heavy cigarette smokers babies. In  the United States,  cancer  will be diagnosed each year in an estimated 8,000    children below the age of 15 years old; accounting for about 10 percent             all deaths in childhood.       Miracles for KIDS!!!

What we do know between 1975 and 2002, childhood cancer mortality      has decreased by more than 50%. However, what accounts for 20% of all   these  childhood cancer cases  are  soft cell sarcomas.    Sarcoma cancer           are found in soft tissues of all parts of the body.      http://www.nlmsf.org/

The  soft tissues  of the body including  the muscles,  connective tissues  (tendons), bone, vessels that carry blood or nymph, joints and in body fat.      A lump or swelling  in the part of the body may appear in the person that  does have a  soft tissue sarcoma  (this year alone about  5,000 people  will       be diagnosed with this type of malignancy.)     Helpful Organizations!!!!

This Ain’t No April Fools Joke

Don’t be foolishRadon Gas ain’t a joke and it is a by product of uranium and one should never be so totally convinced it doesn’t happen in their neighborhood. It’s not predominant as some would try and convince you otherwise,  however,  it still can be a silent killer. The amount of radon depends on soil chemistry which varies state to state and house to house.          Anti Cancer Medicine In Broccoli.

A few years ago…. while I was driving to work I listen to an interview on the radio station 700-WLW  The BIG ONE  out of Cincinnati.  They where talking  to Debra Rebensdorf  of   Winchester,   Ohio whom being in her 50s,   neither her or her husband ever smoked  and never dealt directly  with air pollution that was uncommon or worked in a factory setting.

A few years prior…. having built a new house that was tightly insulated like most are today that don’t give the house a chance to breathe. After contracting lung cancer her doctors ask that her house be tested for radon and sure enough the results cameback double digit diplomacy where types of cancer and lung cancer happens mostly.

Play it smartradon is a radioactive gas that comes from natural decay in uranium found in nearly all soils to different levels. It typically seeps into homes through cracks and other holes in the foundations and especially in through sump pumps of basements in both older and newer homes where most are vulnerable to the ignorance of taking it for granted.

Breast Cancer

Even in the holistic perspective on how the body works,  cancer is the ultimate loss of health,  well being and the end result of a long process of cellular and organ breakdown.   The basics of an anti-cancer regime are common to all forms of cancer, and may include  detoxification, intestinal,  nutritional strengthening and upbuilding the immune system.

Over  200,000  new cases  of  breast cancer  are diagnosed each year in women in the United States, while about 1% of that number are diagnosed in men. For the majority of women,  lifestyle changes,  a healthy diet,  cautious use of selected antioxidants, exercise and weight reduction can also  help reduce  the chances of  or preventing breast cancer.

Breast cancer cells,  like all cells,  that initally develope because of defects in the genetic material deooxyribonucleic acid (DNA) of a single cell.  Research  has  shown  5% to 10% of breast cancers are associated with mutations  (detected)  in two genes known as breast  cancer associated  (BRCA)  genes BRCA1 and BRCA2     (Synthetic Estrogen.)

What are your risk factors,  how to prevent  breast cancer  from  ever  entering  into  your world in the first place,  if you’re one of the fortunate…. how to pick the right doctors from such websites as vitals.com  castle connolly.commaster hospital administration  and  the technique defined in this short blog post.        Dr. James Lavelle
