When conventional medicine decides to chalk you off for being dead. Sometimes in worse case scenario you’re stage 4 terminal and they don’t want there hospitals survival rates to look bad. Some patients turn to the alternative and don’t know where to look in the right place. Thereby, are mislead into believing over seas or another country…. maybe the answer to cancer and facts on cancer while turning to far away places like Germany, Mexico and the Bahamas.
Research provides better options then those and sometimes those options are right in your own back yard. The Grand Canyon probably one of the most recognized natural landmarks in the United States and being it is in Arizona signifies that Arizona may just be An Oasis of Healing indeed. While including the very special route through Sedona’s Redrock country you will quickly come to realize Arizona the most Scenic State in the Union.
To marvel and glamourize this states natural wonders and breath taking beauty isn’t the real reason Solitarius has made a stop here with the power of the internet. Not far from Sedona’s awe inspiring redrock formations and amongst all it’s Health Spa’s, Fitness Advocates and Self Help Guru’s lie the Verde Valley Medical Center with affiliation with the University of Arizona Cancer Center. Which is well known for it’s Integrative Medical Center that is headed by Dr. Andrew Weil.
Arizona just might be becoming well known for a Mecca of it’s various clinics small and large with the options for treating cancer. Alternatively for it’s in these Four Corners of the United States where four states join as into one spot geographically. But also, where quite possibly the location where conventional & alternative medicine joins together in a practice called Integrative Medicine. Which also you have in Goodyear Arizona a Cancer Treatment Center of America providing state of the art treatment.
Where within one state they join together various clinics, thereby, forming a comprehensive cancer network…. unlike anywhere else in the United States. Finding your way…. amongst those various clinics require research for their are Euroand New Age technique. A shining example: would be Healing Pathways Cancer Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona that provides naturopathic therapies using non – toxic, immune building, re-regulating body cleansing cancer programs without damaging the immune system.
After reading the above blog post one might think this is all fine if one can afford the cost and time off to travel to Arizona for treatment. However using this state for the horse and pony show…. my feeling is in any state in which you live today ….with some research on your part you can find doctors that preach as part of there practice nutrition. In the Miami Valley of Ohio…. we have Dr. Matthew Holten at the Holten Wellness Center & Dr. Van Merkle in the Back to Health Center. Websites like Everyday Health, HealthGrades and Vital.com will aide in your search.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2X4U1mQzoE&feature=youtu.be Enzyme Therapy: some alternative practitioners claim certain digestive enzymes remove a protective coating from cancer cells allowing blood cells to identify and attack them.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy: you may think it’s new technology but it’s not…. it’s being used in the treatment of a various assortment of injuries and diseases (including cancer which is anerobic some institutions are giving it a try…???).
Lympathic Drainage Massage:is a gentle light touch non invasive therapy helps circulation of the lympathic system, blood capillaries, veins and activates interstitial liquids, cerebrospinal and synovial fluids.
Vitamin D Supplements: everybody should include vitamin D in their Integrative treatment package for increasing their odds of beating cancer and 75% of cancer cases could be prevented with the proper amount.
Before writing what I want to say in this blog post, firstly I would like to say, “that I would like to “thank” those visitants that are helping to build traffic for Solitarius in helping to spread the revelance of the content of this site.” Especially the information that is contained in the blogs of July until present…. I feel the information in this entire website is revelant. However, if you have a tough time finding time…. learn the cancer quick facts from these blogs…. you did yourself a favor, not to mention, a favor you might have done for a friend or family member that has cancer.
The proper ratio of carbohydrates, fats and protein are important components of a healthy performing body that contributes directly to how well our body functions. In this blog post…. I’ll more or less type what is needed to be told, however, letting the videos within brighten up a other wise dull topic. Carbohydrates which strongly affect how well you’re body performs and is important to realize the difference between simple and complex carbohydrates.
Simple carbohydrates including refined sugar and white flour products that turns to “sticky stuff” when is digested. Causes a blood spike and then falls off quickly that is a poor decision to our health for simple reason. Some nutritionist will tell you that starches such as pasta are good for you, however, you might be ill advised once you start to consider the sugar content of the meat sauce you use to cover your pasta. Therefore all such carefully thoughtout in a health wise diet and consumed in moderation.
The other wise carbohydrate also known as complex carbohydrate that includes whole grain, beans or peas and the other vegetables or fruit provides a slow even flow of energy. Although the sugar found in fruit and the lactose found in milk is sugar. Foremostly, these sugars are absorb differently in the body, and therefore, shouldn’t be misconstrued because of the healthful benefits of the vitamins and nutrient content in them.
Fats that is considered a secondary source of energy that’s provided in a healthy diet. There are two different types of fats: the good and the bad saturated and unsaturated. Saturated fats come from animal sources, such as meat, milk, butter and also from coconut oil and palm oil. These fats pack together tightly and squeeze into small spaces such as arteries causing blockage.
Thereby, unsaturated fats come from vegetables, nuts, seeds, and fish sources. Fish oil or the omega – 3 fatsin fish oil may decrease muscle protein breakdown. A recent study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition shows that fish oil helps enhance the effect of strength training in the elderly. The unsaturated fats do not pack as easily, thereby, making them less likely to clog arteries.
Protein like carbs and fat have their pro’s and con’s, as well, the best sources of complete protein are eggs, meat, milk and fish. Therefore when one hears complete protein sources, they should understand complete means; that the source contains all of the essential amino acids. Amino acids are broken down and redistributed whenever your body needs them. Unlike carbohydrates and fats, protein is not an efficient source of energy.
Some visitants of this website might stop and think it’s about treatment, although in some of the blog post it does explain options. However more so what Solitarius is about is prevention being key, through the knowledge of knowing facts on cancer and about your options in the world around you through cancer research. When you use the information on the world wide web for useful purposes it can be a powerful tool and should be viewed as a “mega pill” for cancer research.
One of the most important aspects of this website is vitamin deficiencies that’s enshrined through out the website. When you begin to hear that all vitamin deficiencies are the known cause of every known disease known to mankind. You also begin to realize that this “blog post” maybe the basis to this entire website. Because it informs the visitant of the major vitamin deficiencies and their known impact on cancer.
Since dreaming up the concept for this website ….when I think vitamin deficiencies…. I think back to the song Bridge Over Troubled Water and during the course of the last 6 1/2 years. How forever time I came across trouble their always was somebody there to help get me over the troubled water. Let me tell you, “I’m eternally gratiful because I never learned how to swim literally and figuratively.”
In that time of space 6 1/2 years there always was someone there to see me through…. one of the most popular topics was vitamin deficiencies and “if” your NOT feeling right ….you should have your levels checked by a doctor. First off let’s talk Vitamin A pushing, promoting and even inciting cancer growth, as a few researchers claim that vitamin A, in test tube vitro study experiments will push stem cells to change into cells that build blood vessels.
So when structure similar to blood vessels develope within tumor masses grown in culture, researchers concluded vitamin A promotes carcinogensis activity. However to the contrary, “when a study published in the Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry found that by administering both vitamin A and vitamin C together to cultured human breast cancer cells.”
They were more then three times as effective than the administration of either compound alone (since) when the combination of these two vitamins in synergy inhibited proliferation by 75.7 percent compared to untreated cells. The author of this study suggest, “that the synergestic effect observed in this study is due in part to the ascorbic acids, thereby increasing the cells proliferation inhibitory effects.”
The association of vitamin A and cancer was initially reported in 1926, when rats fed a vitamin A deficient diet; developed gastric carcinomas. The first investigation showing a relationship between vitamin A and human cancer was performed in 1941 by Abelsetal. Who found low plasma vitamin A levels in patients with gastro – intestinal cancer.
Dr. Jennifer Brett comments that vitamin A fights cancer by inhibiting the production of DNA in cancerous cells. It also slows down the tumor growth in established cancer and may keep leukemia cells from dividing. A derivative of the vitamin has been shown to kill the CEM-C7 human lymphoblastoid leukemia cells and P1798 murine T lymphoma cells.
Being cancer thrives in a vitamin deficient environment…. here is another example: why cancer generates itself in a vitamin deficient state. Vitamin C is required for our immune system to generate and mobilize the specialized cells that fight cancer and other infections. Likewise the more stress your immune system is under… the more vitamin C is used and puts the immune system even under more stress from lacking this critical vitamin.
Secondly, cancer cells excrete the substance; called hyaluronidase that breaks down the collagen and fibers that make up the structure of this base substance which creates the space needed for tumors to grow. Vitamin C is required for the development of collagen and this fibrous material that is important to all tissue related problems, such as, disc injuries, also gum problems, and even musco skeleton issues). Vitamin C also is required for elastin synthesis which is responsible for the health of blood vessels…. safe guarding against vascular disease.
The B – vitamins, especially folate ( which is the synthetic form of folic acid), which is required for synthesis of DNA, and there is evidence that decreased availability of folate results in strands of DNA that are more suspectible to damage. Thereby, deficiencies in B12 traps folate into a form that is then unusable by the body for DNA synthesis (this may lead to an elevated rate of DNA damage and altered methylation of DNA) both of which are important risk factors for cancer.
With the strongest relationship of cancer to vitamin deficiency being a lack of vitamin D, clinical studies have shown vitamin D deficiency to be associated with four of the most common types of cancer (breast, prostate, colon and skin). It is well established that vitamin D (vitamin D3) acts as an effective regulator of cell growth and differentation in a number of different cell including cancer cells. (The Vitamin D Solutionby Dr.Michael Holick.)
Vitamin D…. may also go beyond cancer prevention and provide also tumor therapy by providing pharmaceutical angiogensis inhibitors that inhibits the growth of undesirable blood vessels that tumors require for nutrient supply and growth. Thereby Vitamin E is important for the body because it functions as an antioxidant. Because reactive oxygen species damage cells and other substances in the body, vitamin E helps to prevent cell damage and helps cell membrane recover from oxidative stress.
Vitamin E, also important for the functioning of a strong immune system and has been found to regulate your bodies metabolism, therefore, gene expression and cell signaling. Vitamin E deficiencies are more common in people whom are following a low fat diet, as vitamin E needs fat to be properly absorbed. Also when fish oil supplements are being used which contain omega – 3 fatty acids for a variety of health benefits. Be careful for vitamin E deficiencies because omega -3 ….has a tendency to create one.
One risk of consuming fish oil is that it can lead to a deficiency of this crucial vitamin, which the only well constructed scientific study regarding the effects of fish oil on vitamin E…. was published ….in a 1991 issue of …. “The Journal of Nutrition.” This study found women whom consume fish oil supplements had a reduced level of vitamin E in their body and that this vitamin E deficiency occurred even though the fish oil supplement that the women were taking contained a small amount of vitamin E.
The loss of vitamin E was more pronounced in women between the ages of 51 and 71 years. The oil in omega – 3 fatty acids, a type of fat important for proper function of your body. Omega – 3 fatty acids are also critical for the general health of the nervous system, also affect blood clotting and the metabolism of fat. If you are concerned about vitamin E deficiency talk to your doctor. Blood test can determine…. if you have abnormal low vitamin levels which could require supplements.
Before closing out on this “blog post, another heavy weight mineral to consider is selenium: providing additional cancer prevention through antioxidant protection. Dr. Bruce Ames of the Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute determined that selenium – dependent proteins deprived of this essential mineral pave a path toward chronic disease.
Dr. Ames subscribes to the newly developed “triage theory,” that explains why age related diseases like heart disease, cancer and dementia may have unintended consequences of the mechanisms developed during the evolution to protect against any vitamin/mineral shortages. There are twelve seleno-proteins of which five are considered essential and seven known to be non essential to human health.
Interestingly enough, an analysis of the available studies conclude that it is the non essential selenoproteins ….that may be the most important in determining optimal health or progression toward most chronic illnesses. Extensive research confirm the critical nature of selenium in the prevention of cancer. As it supports the normal immune function to halt aberrant cell growth. While also information published in the Journal Biochemistry…. found there are two types of selenium known as SeMet and MeSeCys that are processed to provide a chemo protective shield.
Researchers working to determine the ability of selenium to prevent breast cancer found that the MeSeCys form of selenium was significantly more effective at also protecting against the insidious disease compared to the SeMet versions of the mineral. The study found that breast cancer cells processed the two different forms of selenium differently leading to the protective nature of the MeSeCys form.
Recommended daily intake levels of selenium are 55 mcg., making many people deficient due to inadequate diet. Nutritionist recommend 200 mcg., for optional disease protection, however, you never really hear specified between MeSeCys and SeMet forms. Health minded individuals will want to ensure supplementing to help prevent cancer and heart disease.
As I work into Phrase II of this website the blog post will have more content with less links. My challenge will take the background from past blog post…. while bringing that information forward into cancer quick facts. Thereby making it more useful information for the visitant to cultivate in each blog post. This isn’t to say, “that my blog post aren’t useful and by all means either scroll through the blogs on blog roll or use the Archives on the right side of your computer screen for an added convenience.”
There is alot of research in my archives, hopefully, you’ll find the blogs of July which is preventive measures and August which is treatment just as informative as that one that I’m now typing. There has been alot of research into psychoimmunology, which is the study of mind over matter and the effect it has on the immune system. In the “background blog post” in the archives of this website.
I talk about Qigong “life energy” with which I’ll be honest… I had a good laugh first at the Chinese expense of NOT believing in this practice. Only when I started to research what it was about ….did I start to understand the principle behind the practice. Qigong, “Life energy” is the practice of aligning breath, movement and awareness for exercise, into healing and mediation with roots in Chinese medicine dating back 4,000 years.
Qigong… has traditionally been viewed as the practice to cultivate and balance “chi” life energy. Which until only recently have the Institution in the Unites States started to take seriously. Those Institutions are at Vanderbilt and Dana Farber…. which warrant consideration into the anybody’s battle with cancer. If you read a sign every morning that says, “your great…. your gonna live along time ….every cell in your body starts believing and respond to those thoughts regardless of the circumstances.
With this said, you better start thinking thoughts that are positive and powerful. When you read this coming from me you don’t have to believe it from me, however, you best believe it coming from Paul Falk. When Paul from Cincinnati, Ohio was 9 years old, in 1986, was given the diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center. They gave his parents a choice standard treatment or and experimental one called the Denver Protocol.
his experimental treatment was going to be administered to 100 children throughout the country. Throughout his own experiences he did learn that of the 100 children that received the protocol he was the only one that survived. Until this day he believes the only reason he survived the ordeal is because as he fought throughout the disease he stayed positive. When you stay positive…. you usually stay a toned – true to yourself and you are of like mind ….while you keep doing…. what you always have been doing.
When you stay positive…. you stay active ….when you stay active you keep all your bodily functions in normal working order and when you do that…. you don’t give your body a chance to erode within itself. To me that’s extremely important and here’s why: every function that’s within your body work’s in unison. The circulatory, also the respiratory , muscular, nervous and the lymphatic system all work’s together as one. When you do something or don’t do something out of the normal it throws your system out of wack.
The cardiovascular system is one of the most important systems in your body. This system consist of your heart and a series of blood vessels that is called arteries, veins and capillaries. That even helps your heart heal when your heart isn’t doing so well on it’s own…. for instance …. your heart has blockage the back flow of blood reroutes itself to form NEW arteries.
The cardiovascular system works by pumping blood into the lungs which causes the blood to become oxygenated. This oxygenated rich blood is then transported throughout the body through a network of arteries, vessels or veins and capillaries. That branch out to the trillions of cells of the body to give them access to nutrition and oxygen.
Through cardiovascular exercise it can keep everything in working order. By keeping everything in working order…. it keeps your metabolism reving high… burning any excessive cholesterol ..that might be churning up inside due to the difference in the metabolism in people. Always remember that depleted blood that cells feed upon to gain their oxygen and nutrients must return to the heart to restart the process all over again (exercise and replenished nutrients help aide the process).
Being that the lymphatic system which is important to a healthy immune system doesn’t work off your heart beat. Rather it is fully – functionally from every breath you take and the more breaths you take…. the more fully – functional the lymphatic system interacts with circulatory system (mainly through the removal of interstitial fluid and fatty acids).
When nutrient- and oxygen -rich blood reaches the capillaries, they leak interstitial fluid into the tissue to feed the cells. Once these cells have gained what they need, the fluid must be removed from the cells and then placed back into the circulatory system to be reused…. the lymph system draws the fluid from the cells and deposits it back into the blood that’s in the veins.
Another main – way in which the cardiovascular and lympathic system interacts is through the removal of fatty acids in the body. When you have a mixed up rate of bad and good fatty acid this procedure of removal becomes extremely critical. About as important as gaining omega -3 fatty acids from your diet through proper nutrition in the first place.
Being that the lymphatic system works in unison with the circulatory system. Because the lungs are where your oxygen supply is picked up in the blood and then transported around the body where hemoglobins are produced in the red blood cells, It’s these hemoglobins in abundance that are delivered to respiring tissues (muscles), musclar and nervous system interaction is what controls your breathing rate.
When the concentration of carbon dioxide increases the chemo – receptor (chemical sensitive) cells in the wall of the carotid artery and aorta that sends impulses to the respiratory centre of the brain and tells your body to increase your breathing. It’s these same impulses that tells the diaphragm and intercostal muscles to contract while making the breathing rate more rapid.
Most of the respiratory system is lined with mucous membrane which contain mucosal – associated lymphoid tissue. This tissue an essential part of the lymphatic system that produces immune cells (e.g. lymphocytes which is a type of white blood cell that defends the body against infections and viruses).
The benefits of exercise is that it helps your body to control all the fore -mention functions of the body. Plus by doing so… it also controls the cortisol levels that helps to metabolize fat for fuel. Although this intense aerobic exercise causes a temporary increase in cortisol…. regular exercise helps control your cortisol levels and helps reduce the stress this hormone places on your body.
Your hypothalamus plays an important role in cortisol production…. this gland responds to any preceived threat by signaling an alarm to the rest of the body. Which causes your adrenal glands to release a surge of cortisol (the primary stress hormone). Although physical and emotional stress can increase cortisol production through sudden burst of energy by increasing glucose into your blood stream.
This hormone is essential for regulating your energy levels, and also metabolizing stored fat cells. It is responsible for several functions in the body including blood pressure regulation, glucose utilization and – any – and – all inflammatory properties. While excessive cortisol levels can and will cause fatique as well as fat accumulation in the stomach region, decrease bone formation, increase water retention and changes in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins while affecting the immune system.
According to the Internet Journal of Allied Health Sciences and Practices. Studies indicate that even 30 minute sessions of moderate exercise may help in reducing these harmful cortisol levels. Whereas the Mayo Clinic recommends reducing cortisol stress levels by getting regular exercise period. Having it MADE means Managing Attitude Diet Exercise….

When I dreamt and visualized the concept of this website about a year ago at this present time. While working on the concept since…. March of 2006, often I felt I would never accomplish what is in this website facts on cancer. So often derailed of my hopes, however, never losing focus nor sight… where I wanted to take this projects true destination. http://www.facebook.com/Solitariusorg
That being a centralized hub of cancer research that promotes the information that’s on the internet. As more and more of the major medical institutions in the United States head into the direction of Integrative Medicine to fight the war on cancer. It’s quite gratifying thinking back about the time I jumped on the good ship when it all started to transition over in Cancer Medicine.
In my blog post for August which I deem important… you will as the visitant find important website links for the 18 most common types of cancer. There is much vital information in each blog, an occasionally in the future…. I will add more content as I continually troll the internet searching for information that’s a new.
So tell your friends and please keep coming back to read any and all important updates as I find the information for you. Also I’m extremely openminded to the visitants suggestions and experiences so by all means use the comment section at the end of each seperate blog. Be rest assured like so often in todays America…. what you have to say… won’t fall upon deft ears… that’s my promise to the visitant.
AS the visitant enters into the July Blog Post…. in Looking Back – Moving Forward. That blog details the exact highlighted blog post of the entire archives of Solitarius.org. What this does as the visitant becomes more acclimated to the website…. is prevents the visitant from having to scroll and troll the entire website when you know what your aim is. Also the July blog post are much like 4th of July…. a blast ….they showcase the HOT 16 Tips for preventing cancer through mainly nutrition.
Testicular Cancer: the most common cancer in males aged 20 – 39 years, the period of peak incidence, and rarely seen before the age of 15 years. Testicular cancer has one of the highest cure rates of all cancers: in access of 90 percent essentially 100 percent “if ” it has not spread (metastasized). Even for the relatively few cases on which malignant cancer has spread widely, modern chemotherapy offers a cure rate of at least 80%.
It’s not clear what causes testicular cancer, however, doctors know testicular cancer quick facts occur when healthy cells in a testicles becomes altered. Most often the first symptom of thyroid cancer is a nodule in the thyroid region of the neck. However, many adults have small nodules in their thyroids, typically under 50% of these nodules are found to be malignant.
Thyroid nodules are of particular concern when they are found in those under the age of 20 years old. The prevention of benign nodules at this age is less likely, and therefore, the potential for malignancy is far greater. Germ cell tumors, are more likely to be found in the first two decades of life. Malignant germ cell tumors include dysgerminomas, endodermal, sinus tumors, embryonal carcinomas, non gestational choriocarcinomas.
Teratomas, which can contain tissues from all three germ cell layers (ectoderm, mesoderm, and neuroderm are the most common germcile tumors). Benign mature teratomas contain mature elements, whereas, malignant teratomas contain immature elements and are graded out accordingly to the amount of immature neural tissue. http://youtu.be/ISAy-Dnbge4 Skin Cancer: other wise known as skin neoplasm are skin growths with differing causes and varying degrees of malignancies. The three most common malignant skin cancers are basal cell carcinomas, squamous cell and melanoma, each of which is named after the type of skin cell from which it arises. Unlike the types in the lung, pancreas, stomach…et cetera, only a small minority will actually die of the disease.
Basal cell carcinoma is the most common skin cancer and the most common overall. Although, it is a cancer, it’s likelihood of spreading is quite low, however, if neglected it can grow locally. Thereby, removal, is recommended and being readiation and surgery is effective. Surgery has a better cosmetic effect than radiation and with radiation being far more costly with added risk of secondary cancers resulting in the future.
To seal the deal one must endure twenty or more sessions of radiation. Compared to just doing one surgery with a post operative follow up. Also Moh’s surgery is different from regular surgery because while the patient and surgeon waits. As a pathologist immediately evaluates the removed tissues and provides information to the surgeon…. on whether or not to further remove skin tissue with tumor cell being necessary.
Squamous cell or basal cell carcinoma are highly likely to be cured if found early on and treated properly. However, melanoma a cancer that begins in the melanocytes…. the cells that produce skin coloring and pigment known as melanin. Which helps protect the skin from the harmful effects of the sun is always curable in its very earliest stages, although, melanoma accounts for only a small percentage of skin cancer.
Melanomadoes account for more than 75,000 cases of skin cancer and 9,000 of the nearly 12,000 skin cancer deaths each year. Also there are a few rare types of skin cancers, such as Keratoacanthoma, Merkel Cell Carcinoma, Skin Lymphoma, Kaposi Sarcoma, Skin Adexnal tumors and sarcomas. You can findout more about them and other non-melanoma cancers at www.cancer.org and this section on skin cancer would not be complete with0ut telling the Eva Cassidy Story.
Eva Marie Cassidy (February 2, 1963 – November 2, 1996) an American vocalist and guitarist known for her interpretations of jazz, blues, folk, gospel, country and pop classics. In 1992, she released her first album The Otherside followed by the 1996 solo album entitled Live at Blues Alley. Although, honored by the Washington Area Music Association; she was virtually unknown outside her native Washington D.C. when she died of melanoma in 1996.
In 1993, Cassidy had a malignant node removed from her back; than three years later during a promotional event for her Live at Blues Alley Album in 1996. Cassidy noticed an ache in her hips which she attributed to stiffness from painting murals while perched a top a step ladder. The pain persisted and a few weeks later, X-rays revealed that the melanoma had spread to her lungs and bones.
Her doctors estimated she had three to five months to live, Eva opted for aggressive treatment but her health deteriorated rapidly. In the early autumn at a benefit concert for her at the Bayou she made her finale closing the set with “What A Wonderful World” in front of an audience of friends, family and fans. Additional chemotherapy was ineffective and Cassidy died November 2, 1996.

Liver cancer should not be confused with liver metastasis, which are cancers that originate from organs elsewhere in the body and migrates to the liver. The biggest known cause of liver cancer just might happen to be the chronic Hepatitis B and C infections can lead to liver cancer (You can’t live with a unhealthy liver!!)
Hepatocellular carcinoma accounts for most liver cancer and this type of cancer occurs more often in men than woman. It is usually seen more often in people, age 50 or older, however, age does differ in different parts of the world. Childhood vaccinations against hepatitis B may reduce the risk, however, avoid drinking excessive amounts of alcohol. If you have chronic hepatitis or known cirrhosis, periodic screening with ultra sound or blood alpha fetoprotein test may help detect liver cancer early.

Lung Cancer: a disease characterized by uncontrollable cell growth in tissues of the lung. If left untreated, this growth may spread beyond the lung in a process called metastasis into nearby tissue and, eventually into other parts of the body. Most cancers that start in the lung, known as primary lung cancers are carcinomas that derive from epithelial cells.
The main types of lung cancer are small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC), also called oat cell cancer, and non – small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC). The main common cause of lung cancer is long term exposure to tobacco smoke. While non – smokers account for 15% of lung cancer cases, with these cases often attributed to a combination of genetic factors, radon gas, asbestos, and air pollution including secondhand smoke.
Whereas the National Cancer Center and National Institute of Health in Maryland calls for some what NEW type of advance treatment called Continuous Hyperthermic Peritoneal Perfusion (C.H.P.P.) When it comes to lung cancer, one of the biggest killers of people is often under funded with only $1,300 going toward lung cancer research @ patient. Whereas, breast cancer obtains between $20,000 to $23,000 …. while prostate gets $18,000. Quite a stigma …. considering that 16,000 lung cancer deaths are recorded each year in the United States facts on cancer. (Proton therapy.)
Within every lung disease: Vitamin D plays a vital role in preventing it before it happens. With Bronchiectasis showing the airways slowly losing their ability to clear mucus and as it builds up bacteria begins to grow that causes infections which injures the walls of the airways (tubes that carry air in and out of the lungs) prevents the airways from clearing mucus out of the lungs therefore becoming scarred.
Unlike Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary DiseaseCOPD includes two main conditions, Emphysema the walls between the air sacs become damaged due to inflammation while the air sacs become floppy, while reducing the exchange of gas in the lungs. Whereas bronchitis the lining of the airways is constantly irritated, inflamed causing the lining to thicken and making it harder to breathe.
Whereas asthma sufferers have inflamed airways making them swollen and sensitive. Which make the airways react strongly to certain inhaled substances, therefore, when the airways react to the muscles around them tighten and causes the airways to narrow allowing less air into the lungs producing an “asthma attack.”
Vitamin D a seco – steroid hormone important for the inflammatory response of the immune system. Studies conducted in a murine model of asthma found the hormonal form of vitamin D shifted the T – regulatory lymphocyte response from T – cell 1 to the less inflammatory T helper cell 2 dominant phenotype. In two studies increasing the vitamin D increased the production of Il – 10 (which is an inflammatory cytokines involved in many inflammatory diseases.)

Pancreatic Cancer: malignant neoplasm originating from cells that arise in tissues from the pancreas. The most common type accounting for 95% of all pancreatic cancer cases, adenocarcinoma arising with in the exocrine component of the pancreas while also a slim minority arises from the islet cells classified as neuroendocrine tumors. The signs and symptoms of pancreatic facts on cancer are abdominal, lower back pain and jaundice (yellowish skin tone and tint to the whites of your eyes).
Long know to causeblood clotting, pancreatic cancer remains one of the most feared malignancies because there isn’t an effective screening test, whereas, chemotherapy and radiation are the only modesty useful. While surgery the only reliable cure, often is not possible at the stage when most people present the disease to their doctor.
Common risk factors include family history of which 5 -10% pancreatic cancer patients are based off genetics and hereditary issues. With age the risk of developing pancreatic cancer increases after age 60 while cases before age 40 are uncommon. While diets high in red meat, sugar sweeten drinks and which are low in fruits and vegetables (see higher risk of pancreatic cancer). Also the risk are higher with H. pylori infections, and also having gingivitis or periodontal disease while the bacteria in gum disease acts alot like cancer cells.
Being chronic pancreatitis can lead to pancreatic cancer “if ” your not careful. I have a Facebook Friend that has a crowning achievement in my eyes. Meet Stacey Hartwell Fields, after going to doctor after doctor for 10 years, as they tried every medicine on her and nothing worked. She decided to become retro-proactive. Becoming her own guardian angel and changing her eating habits drastically.
Knowing in her heart what she had to do from exhaustive research. I decided to cut out all fats (as I learned my stomach couldn’t handle them, meaning no dairy, nuts and very little to no meats.) While realizing carbs for energy is advise…. she quickly starting eating veggies and fruits as a main staple (at a 5:1 ratio) as to be careful.
Stacey also stated she began flooding her body with antioxidants, with Grape Seed Extract, black seed oil, gogi berries — maca her personal choice. While also started consuming Hemp Seed Hearts for protein and turmeric to help subdue her pain issues. While also eating Apricot Kernels by way of a product called protandim, a super antioxidant until it got to costly.

http://youtu.be/4HPL6xVfO1w Prostate Cancer: a cancer that developes in a gland that is in the male reproductive system. Most prostate cancers are slow growing, however, there are cases of agressive prostate cancers. Prostate cancer is associated with urinary dysfunction as the prostate gland surrounds the prostatic uretha. Changes within the gland, therefore, directly affects the urinary function.
Advanced prostate cancer can spread to other parts of the body and the most common symptoms are bone pain, often in the vertebrae (the bones in the spine), pelvis area and ribs. Prostate cancer in the spine can also compress the spinal cord, causing leg weakness, urinary and also fecal incontinence. A complete understanding of the causes of prostate cancer remains elusive. Prostate cancer is very uncommon in men younger than 45, and the facts on cancer becomes more common with advancing age.
Most men never realize they have prostate cancer, autopsy have revealed that men who died of other causes. Have showed that thirty percent of men in their 50’s and 80% of men in their 70’s have prostate cancer. While also, compounding the problem…. The United States Preventive Services Task Force in 2012 recommended a gainst screening for prostate cancer using PSA testing. Due to the variables involved, risk of over – diagnosis and treatment with most prostate cancer remaining asymptomatic.
One columnist I enjoy reading is Dr. Keith Roach in the newspaper everyday, and in this letter which came from a 81 year old male. Reviewed the effect saw palmetto, Finasteride and related medicine “Dutasteride,” had on prostate enlargement. According to Dr. Roach saw palmetto does very little to help reduce the size of the prostate, as well has little impact on the risk of cancer.
Also in Dr. Roach’s professional opinion, “Finasteride,” shrinks prostate size and helped to reduce prostate cancer 25%. However, the number of aggressive prostate cancer seemed to be higher in men taking Finasteride and the number of studies indicate Finasteride might not increase your risk for cancer. Also trials on Dutasteride also shows a reduction in overall prostate cancer but a small incease in aggressive cancers.
What Dr. Roach than went on to say, “that getting regular exercise and eating plenty of fruit and vegetables, while also limiting your red meat consumption in moderation can significantly reduce the risk of aggressive prostate cancer.” Also his booklet on prostate enlargement and cancer can be obtain writing Dr. Roach at P.O. Box 536475, Orlando Fla. 32853-6475 while including a check or money order (no cash) for $4.75 Us/$6 Canadien.
