When I am Gone

From 2008 to 2016, the duo Joey + Rory comprised her and her husband, Rory Feek.[3]

Life and musical career

Joey Marie Feek (née Martin, September 9, 1975 – March 4, 2016) was an American country music singer and songwriter. Joey Marie Feek was born Joey Marie Martin in Alexandria, Indiana, to Jack and June Martin. She was the fourth of five children: three sisters (Jody, Julie, Jessie) and one younger brother, Justin, who in 1994 died in a car accident.[4]

Her father, who played guitar, encouraged her to start singing and performing at an early age. [5] She moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1998 to pursue a career as an assistant at a horse vet clinic, and established connections with LeAnn Rimes‘ father Wilbur, and Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn

At a songwriter night, she met songwriter Rory Lee Feek, whom she married in June 2002.[6] She sang backing vocals on Blaine Larsen‘s 2004 album Off to Join the World, which her husband co-produced.[7] Joey was signed to Sony Nashville and recorded an unreleased solo album in 2005 titled Strong Enough to Cry, but due to change in management and restructuring at Sony, the planned major label release for her album was shelved.[8][9] The album, retitled If Not For You, was eventually released by Farmhouse Recordings on April 7, 2017.[10] Joey Feek’s Solo Album ‘If Not for You’ Was Released a Year After Her Death

In 2008, a friend suggested that Joey and Rory try out for Can You Duet, a talent show airing on CMT with the purpose of finding the next great country duo. They made an audition tape and came up with the name “Joey + Rory,” and finished in third place on Can You Duet. The duo were signed to Sugar Hill/Vanguard Records, who released their first three studio albums.[9] The duo released eight albums overall and charted a Top 30 Hot Country Songs hit with “Cheater, Cheater“.[2]

Expecting a baby in early 2014, the couple decided to spend the year at home.[11] Their daughter was born in 2014, and has Down syndrome.[12][13] A few months later in May 2014, Joey was diagnosed with cervical cancer.[14] After surgery and treatment, she was declared cancer free and did not receive any radiation or chemotherapy.[15]

Cancer relapse

In June 2015, after the family had finished filming their movie Josephine,[16] Feek was not feeling well again and sought medical advice.[16] After undergoing further medical testing, it was discovered that the cervical cancer had returned and metastasized to her colon.[17]

In July 2015, Feek underwent a second surgery to remove a 3-inch tumor (recurrence of cervical cancer) that had invaded her colon and surrounding structures. The surgery was long and involved and required the use of intraoperative radiation as there were tumors the surgeon could not get clear margins on.[18]

Still, the medical team was hopeful for Feek’s situation, and she recovered from surgery to continue on to endure an intense round of radiation and chemotherapy in the summer of 2015.[19] While undergoing treatment at Cancer Treatment Centers of America, she would record hymns in their hotel room for the last CD the couple would create together, Hymns That Are Important to Us.[20]

In October 2015, Rory revealed in a blog post that Joey’s cancer was terminal, and they were stopping all treatment as the chemotherapy and radiation she had suffered through for the last few months were not working. The MRI scans revealed that two quarter-sized tumors had already grown back in the same area that they had been blasting daily with chemo and radiation [and] that many more smaller tumors were visible all throughout the abdominal region.

She said that the cancer was aggressively spreading”.[21] There were no more treatment options available and all there was left to do was keep Joey as comfortable as possible for the time she had left.[22] By November 2015, Feek was in hospice care.[23]

In January 2016, her morphine dose needed to keep the cancer pain under control had quadrupled.[24] She was able to celebrate Indiana’s second birthday and Valentine’s Day with her and Rory, see them receive a Grammy nomination for the song “If I Needed You”,[25] and see and hear the final recording the duo would make together.

An album of hymns that she had always wanted to make that debuted at number 8 on the Billboard 200 when it was released, and peaked at number 4 on the Billboard 200 three weeks after its release.[26][20] She died on March 4, 2016, and Rory held a private funeral on their farm in Tennessee; Joey was buried in the family cemetery on the Feek farm.[27][28]   Source Joey Feek – Wikipedia

Beautiful Video Tribute to Joey Martin Feek of Joey + Rory (youtube.com)

I was one of Joey and Rory’s loyal fans and his tribute documentary to Joey was beautiful. The tribute documentary to Joey Feek is titled “To Joey, With Love”. This movie tells the story of the incredible Joey Feek and her amazing life. Filmed while battling cancer, Joey along with her family and friends show you that it’s not just physically healthy people who live healthy lives. Take a little time to laugh, smile, and cry with this amazing woman’s journey and the goodbyes of her loving family when she decides to let the Lord lead her home.

It was created by her husband, Rory Feek, and it documents their emotional journey through Joey’s battle with cancer, their life on the farm, and their deep faith. The film captures the last two years of Joey’s life, starting a few weeks before their daughter Indiana was born in February 20141.

Rory shared that watching the footage brought Joey back to life for him, filled with love, joy, and hope1The documentary was initially shown in select theaters for just two nights starting on September 20, 20161. If you’re interested, you can find more about the documentary and watch some clips online234.

Rory’s first solo album “Gentle Man” was released on June 18, 2021.[13] It is the first album recorded since losing his wife and country music collaborator Joey to cancer in 2016. The album includes Feek and Jamie Teachenor’s co-written single “Met Him in a Motel Room” with vocals by Trisha Yearwood.[14][15] Yearwood previously recorded the song for her 2014 album, “PrizeFighter: Hit After Hit.”[16] The album also includes a cover of Bob Dylan’s “The Times They Are A-Changin.’”[13]

As a filmmaker and storyteller, Feek wrote, shot much of, and edited his docu-series, This Life I Live,[17] which premiered on RFD-TV in March 2020. Feek created the singer-songwriter show “Muletown In the Round,”[18] the educational series, “The One Room Schoolhouse,”[19] and others with Red King Productions.[20] He also made the feature-length film Finding Josephine (2019),[21] the full-length documentary To Joey, With Love (2016),[22] music videos for the album “Gentle Man,” and dozens of music videos over his career as a musician and songwriter.[23]

As an author, Feek has written two memoirs and several children’s books. His 2017 memoir, “This Life I Live: One Man’s Extraordinary, Ordinary Life and the Woman Who Changed It Forever” (HarperCollins) hit top book lists including the Wall Street Journal, Publishers Weekly, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and USA Today.[24] Additional books include “Once Upon a Farm” (HarperCollins),[25] “The Cow Said Neigh!” (HarperCollins),[26] “The Day God Made You” (HarperCollins),[27] and “The Little Rooster” (Milk Barn Kids).[28] Source Rory Feek – Wikipedia

In 2016, Rory’s first wife Joey Feek died after a battle with cervical cancer. The duo performed under the name Joey + Rory. She was first diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2014, and Rory revealed in the fall of 2015 that they had decided to end treatment.

Eight years ago on Monday (March 4), the world said goodbye to Joey Feek — a.k.a., one-half of country duo Joey + Rory, wife to singer-songwriter and homesteader Rory Feek and mom to then-two-year-old Indiana.

Congratulations are in order for Rory Feek, who married his 10-year-old daughter Indiana’s teacher, Rebecca — who is also a longtime family friend — in a romantic ceremony on July 14.

The country star opened up about the ceremony on his blog, noting that the duo tied the knot under a “timber-frame pavilion here in Greycliff, Montana,” adding that his daughter played a major role in getting the two married. “We knew marriage was a possibility,” Feek shared in his post, “it wasn’t something that either of us felt like we could seriously talk about. Mostly because up until that time Indiana only saw Rebecca as ‘Miss Rebecca, her schoolteacher and our friend.”

He then recalled Rebecca telling him about a conversation she had with Indiana in March. “I asked Indy, and she told me that she said, ‘Ms. Rebecca, I think you should marry Papa,’” he noted. “Of course, I was happy, but caught off guard and told her that that was something we’d all have to start praying about.”

Rory said that Indy told him and Rebecca: “My Mama’s been gone a long time. And if she marries you, maybe she could be my new mother.”   During Rory and Rebecca’s nuptials, the country star surprised his new wife with a song called “I Do.” See the full blog post here.

Indiana — who goes by Indy — Indiana Feek is best known as Family Member who was born on February 17, 2014 is now 10 years old, and of course, she has no real memories of her late mom. But the young girl still commemorated the anniversary of Joey’s death on Monday, spending some time by her mom’s grave on the family’s property.

In the photo, Indy — now looking all grown up with pink cowboy boots and a matching turtleneck sweater — pets a tabby cat as she sits in the grass. Nearby, Joey’s grave marker is adorned with a colorful array of flowers.

But it’s only a blink compared to forever in Heaven. | Instagram

As he shared the photo of Indy sitting by her mother’s grave, Feek pointed out another example of how the passage of time has played out in surprising ways over the past eight years.

Feek posted his own reflections on the eight-year anniversary of his wife’s death,  marveling in a blog post on everything that has changed — and everything that hasn’t — since he lost Joey. Not long before the eight-year anniversary rolled around, Feek revealed to fans that he’s found love again and is now in a relationship with a teacher named Rebecca.

That’s a profound thought. It reminds me of a quote by Chaim Potok: “We live less than the time it takes to blink an eye, if we measure our lives against eternity…a blink of an eye in itself is nothing. But the eye that blinks, that is something. We All Learn Through Our Past Transgression.

It’s a beautiful reminder to make the most of our time here and fill it with meaning. What are some things that give your life meaning?

That’s a profound perspective. Many people find comfort in the idea that our time on Earth is fleeting compared to the eternity of heaven.

It can help put our daily struggles and challenges into a broader context, making them seem less overwhelming.

This concept is often echoed in literature and philosophy. For instance, Chaim Potok once said, “We live less than the time it takes to blink an eye, if we measure our lives against eternity”12.

When I Am Gone Poem Verses

When I come to the end of my journey,
I travel my last weary mile.
Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned
And remember only my smile.
Forget unkind words I have spoken:
Remember some good I have done.
Forget that I ever had heartache
And remember I’ve had loads of fun.
Forget that I’ve stumbled and blundered
And sometimes fell by the way.
Remember I have fought some hard battles
And won, here the close of the day.
Then forget to grieve for my going,
I would not have you for a day,
But in summer just gather some flowers
And remember the place where I lay.
And come in the shade of the evening
When the sun paints the sky in the west
Stand for a few moments beside me
And remember only my best.

Kamala’s Laughter

Kamala Harris, 59, flung her head back and appeared to mouth, “Oh, come on” before laughing at Trump, 78, for suggesting that migrants in Springfield, Ohio, were “eating the dogs” in the town.

The claim that Barack Obama wrote a Marxist thesis at Columbia University is actually a myth. This rumor originated from a satirical blog post and has been debunked multiple times1.

In reality, Obama did write a senior thesis at Columbia, but it was on the topic of nuclear negotiations with the Soviet Union, not Marxism2Unfortunately, neither Obama nor Columbia University has a copy of this paper available for public viewing2.

On the other hand:

Michelle Obama’s senior year thesis at Princeton University, obtained from the campaign by Politico, shows a document written by a young woman grappling with society on racial divide and a Princeton alumnus might only being allowed to remain “on the periphery.” Read the full thesis here: Part 1Part 2Part 3Part 4.

It seems like you might be referring to the Cloward-Piven strategy which was developed by sociologists Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven in 1966. This strategy aimed to create a political crisis by overloading the welfare system with claims, thereby also, forcing the government to implement a guaranteed minimum income and redistribute wealth1.

The idea was to mobilize the poor to demand their welfare rights, which would overwhelm the system and lead to significant changes in social policy1This strategy was outlined in their article “The Weight of the Poor: A Strategy to End Poverty” published in The Nation1.

Amanda Gorman has an impressive body of work that spans poetry, activism, and literature. Here are some highlights:

  1. “The Hill We Climb”: This is perhaps her most famous work, delivered at the inauguration of President Joe Biden in 2021. The poem emphasizes themes of unity, resilience, and hope1.
  2. “Call Us What We Carry”: A collection of poems that explore a wide range of topics, including the pandemic, social justice, and personal growth2.
  3. “Change Sings: A Children’s Anthem”: This is a beautifully illustrated children’s book that encourages young readers to make a positive impact on the world2.
  4. “The One for Whom Food Is Not Enough”: Her first collection of poetry, published in 2015, which touches on themes of identity, social issues, and empowerment3.
  5. “Chorus of the Captains”: A poem she performed at Super Bowl LV, honoring essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic1.

Gorman’s work often addresses issues of oppression, feminism, race, and marginalization, making her a powerful voice in contemporary poetry and activism13.

At the 2024 Democratic National Convention, Amanda Gorman delivered a powerful poem titled “This Sacred Scene”12. The poem emphasized themes of unity, democracy, and the American dream. Here’s a brief excerpt:

“We gather at this hollowed place because we believe in the American dream. We face a race that tests if this country we cherish shall perish from the Earth, and if our Earth shall perish from this country. It falls to us to ensure that we do not fall, for a people that cannot stand together cannot stand at all.”

Gorman’s performance was a highlight of the convention, resonating deeply with the audience12.

‘When Donald Trump made the outrageous claim immigrants were “eating the dogs”, Harris’s laughter was both spontaneous and strategic. Laughter is a potent tool in hum urology—it signals that the claim is too absurd to be taken seriously, effectively dismissing the speaker without direct confrontation.’

When Trump claimed that immigrants are eating people’s pets, Harris openly laughed at him — a stark contrast to the grave tone he’d taken. That use of emotional contrast undercut Trump’s argument.

I’ve seen this same technique in court, when lawyers use humor to deflate an ultra-serious (and misleading) claim. Perhaps Harris learned the technique in her time as a prosecutor.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The governor of Ohio will send law enforcement and millions of dollars in healthcare resources to the city of Springfield as it faces a surge in temporary Haitian migrants that has landed it in the national spotlight.
Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine said Tuesday he doesn’t oppose the Temporary Protected Status program under which some 15,000 Haitians have arrived in the city of about 59,000 people since 2020, but said the federal government must do more to help impacted communities.
His news conference was held just hours before the presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former Republican President Donald Trump, where the divide over immigration policy was sure to be an issue.

On Monday, Republican Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost also drew attention to the crisis when he directed his office to research legal avenues — including filing a lawsuit — to stop the federal government from sending “an unlimited number of migrants to Ohio communities.”

Thousands of temporary Haitian migrants have landed in the city in recent years, as long standing unrest in their home country has given way to violent gangs ruling the streets. Ohio has already provided additional resources to Springfield to help with education and training for drivers, to pay for more vaccines and health screenings in schools, and to enhance translation services, explained DeWine.

But he’s taking additional action.

“These dramatic surges impact every citizen of the community, every citizen,” he said, noting additional influxes are occurring in Findlay and Lima, Ohio. “Moms who have to wait hours in a waiting room with a sick child, everyone who drives on the streets, and it affects children who go to school in more crowded classrooms.”
On Wednesday, the Ohio State Highway Patrol will be dispatched to help local law enforcement with traffic issues that officials say have cropped up due to an increase in Haitians unfamiliar with U.S. traffic laws using the roads. DeWine said he is also earmarking $2.5 million over two years to provide more primary healthcare through the county health department and private healthcare institutions.
DeWine’s family operates a charity in Haiti in honor of their late daughter, Becky, who died in a car accident. He said the Haitians who have moved to Ohio are generally hard-working people who love their families and who are seeking to escape the violence in their home country for good jobs in Ohio.

The town has seen its population grow significantly due to immigration, with local officials stating that the Haitian population increased by 15,000 to 20,000 over a four-year period. This rapid growth has strained city resources and led to a housing shortage. The situation has also become a point of political discussion and action, with Ohio Governor Mike DeWine responding to the challenges faced by the community.

A Springfield, Ohio, resident sounded the alarm about the city’s Haitian migrant surge, warning her community is like a “dystopian nightmare” as it struggles to provide basic resources for taxpayers. Springfield resident Diana Daniels joined “Fox & Friends” to describe what life has been like in recent years since thousands of Haitians have been transported to their city, starving it of resources like housing and health care, while also having an impact on public safety.

FOCUS GROUP REACTS TO TRUMP CLAIM THAT MIGRANTS ARE ‘EATING THE DOGS’ IN OHIO TOWN

“It’s like living in a dystopian nightmare,” Daniels told Lawrence Jones on Thursday. “You hope you wake up and it’s 2019 again, and then you realize it’s 2024, and it’s the same thing over and over again, day after day. It’s hard sometimes to get up in the morning and hear residents that I’ve known for years struggle. This is a paycheck-to-paycheck… kind of town… working class.

The citizens that depend on our social services like health care, the Rocking Horse [Community Health Center], going down to the Social Security office for benefits are waiting in line, and they’re not getting the services they need.” “It breaks my heart to see people that I taught and their children experiencing this, so I took it upon myself to make sure that I showed up at every City Commission meeting pleading our case,” she continued.

John Kirby tells the truth on Afghanistan failure: For Biden-Harris, dead soldiers mean nothing (msn.com)

The situation took center stage Tuesday night when former President Trump referred to Springfield while railing against the Biden-Harris administration’s border and immigration policies.

“If it took something like this to get the spotlight flashed on us, then so be it. We’ve needed help for several years, and maybe we’re going to finally get it. The sad thing is, it’s more of my money being spent on a problem that we did not create.”  Thousands of Haitians have arrived in Springfield since the COVID-19 pandemic, and residents have been pointing to an uptick in crime, mayhem and car crashes due to the massive influx of new residents. In a town of 58,000 people, about 20,000 Haitians have arrived, according to city officials

Residents have pushed back on the influx, sharing outrage at the ongoing surge during recent city council meetings to demand action on the issue. “I see what’s going on in the streets. And I see you guys sitting up there, comfy chairs and suits… I really challenge you guys to get out here and do something,” said Anthony Harris, 28. “These Haitians are running into trash cans. They’re running into buildings.

They’re flipping cars in the middle of the street, and I don’t know how, y’all can be comfortable with this.”

OHIO CITY PLUNGED INTO HOUSING CRISIS AFTER 15,000+ MIGRANTS ARRIVE: ‘SETTING US UP TO FAIL’

Another resident called out general failures in leadership. “When am I getting my money back?” he asked. According to Daniels, some city leaders have accused residents of racism amid their pleas for help. She has pushed back on those claims, arguing the cultural difference, as opposed to the “color” difference, is really what is at play with the recent strife between both groups.

“Some of those comments are being made by people… that I’ve known for many years, and that’s probably the hardest thing to deal with because the city has always been a close-knit community,” Daniels said. “We have pockets of neighborhoods and what’s happening is a disruption of the smaller neighborhoods, and it has never been a race issue… It’s not about color, it’s about culture.”

Meanwhile, Ohio Republican Gov. Mike DeWine announced Tuesday he’ll be funneling resources to help ease the influx. “As these numbers dramatically pick up, there’s some obligation for the federal government to help local communities who had nothing to do with the decision about people coming in, but now find themselves with a massive number of people,” he said.

DeWine promised a total of $2.5 million over the course of two years for the county health department and other health care centers that have been overwhelmed by the immigrant uptick as well as more resources for law enforcement.  Daniels said she and other residents are investigating and pushing for answers on how this situation unfolded and why the migrants were sent to Springfield.

“How did Springfield get the target put on its back for this many Haitians? …

Why did this happen to us? Who was responsible?

How did that happen? And then follow the money.

It’s very difficult with our limited resources to tease that out.”

Fox News’ Hannah Grossman and Jamie Joseph contributed to this report.

While he did make the remarks the day before 9/11, it was not the first time this amount was brought up.

In his speech on September 10, 2001,

Donald Rumsfeld addressed several critical issues facing the Pentagon:

  1. Bureaucratic Inefficiencies: He emphasized the need to overhaul the Pentagon’s bureaucracy, which he described as wasteful and inefficient.
  2. Financial Management: Rumsfeld highlighted the outdated financial systems, mentioning the inability to track $2.3 trillion in transactions.
  3. Defense Modernization: He stressed the importance of modernizing the military to better address contemporary threats.
  4. Organizational Reform: Rumsfeld called for significant organizational changes to improve the Department of Defense’s overall effectiveness.

These points underscored his broader agenda to transform the Pentagon and improve its operational efficiency.

Is there a particular aspect of his speech that interests you more? An audit report, opens new tab (page 4 of the pdf) released on Feb. 25, 2000, about financial statements for the fiscal year 1999 by the Office of the Inspector General at the United States Department of Defense says, “For the accounting entries, $2.3 trillion was not supported by adequate audit trails or sufficient evidence to determine their validity, $2 trillion was not reviewed because of time constraints, and $2.6 trillion were supported.”

In a July 2000 statement, opens new tab (page 9) , Robert J. Lieberman, Assistant Inspector General at the time, also mentioned the $2.3 trillion number saying that the amount was “unsupported by reliable explanatory information and audit trails or were made to invalid general ledger accounts.” The United States Department of Defense did not immediately respond to Reuters request for comment.

VERDICT

Misleading. The DoD had mentioned this number, which reflects transactions that could not be tracked, more than a year earlier. 2.3 trillion dollars missing and the Pentagon had no idea where this money had gone!Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld did not reveal that the Pentagon had lost $2.3 trillion the day before the September 11, 2001, attacks.

Yes, The next day was 9/11/2001!

Ashly’s World of Poems · Ashly Kocher  ·   ·

September 10, 2001…..

Everything was normal when we all went to bed

Woke up in the morning doing our daily routines

Shower

Breakfast

Kids to school

Walk the dogs

Feed the cats

Commute to work

Never fearing the worse could possibly happen….

We all know, and will never forget, where we were when the news hit

I, myself, was home sick from school, waking up not understanding what was happening….

NYC was hit tragically, millions in danger, from around the world

Many people commuting from many neighboring states

Talking to their loved ones along the way

Never realizing that would be the last time when they said “I love you” and “goodbye”

Everyone held their breath when the first plane hit, thinking it was a freak accident

A few moments later, another plane hits the other tower

It had felt like time stopped and everything was frozen

Debris and smoke filled the air, silent screams of confusion and fear were felt as if we all were there

People running to save their lives, others froze who were shocked and surprised

Emergency crews risked their lives, to help wounded people and others in the line

So many hopeless people lost hope, they fought hard but didn’t survive

September 11, 2001 we all will never forget everyone who lost their lives

Never seeing it coming, as two planes collide

Into the Twin Towers in NYC taking so many precious lives….

Things about 9/11 that still don’t make sense.

Story by Stars Insider

The September 11 attacks had a profound impact on the world as we know it. Global security and foreign relations have been greatly affected ever since the four coordinated terrorist attacks were carried out on American soil. Changes in airport security, such as stricter TSA regulations, have become a permanent part of air travel, while unrelated fields, like medical research and domestic policy, have also felt the negative effects over the decades.

This event has been researched and documented from seemingly every possible angle for the past 20-plus years, and yet there are still some parts of the tragedy that remain unknown or debated. Intrigued? Click through this gallery to discover the questions about that fateful day that remain unanswered.

Airport security

Before 9/11, airport security was shockingly lax, allowing hijackers to easily exploit weaknesses. Knives were allowed on flights, no IDs or boarding passes were required, and only basic metal detectors were used, despite previous hijackings that should have prompted stricter regulations.

Security hesitancy

While previous hijackings prompted some changes in security, airports remained hesitant to implement strict measures, fearing they would scare away travelers. Security was designed to be almost invisible, which led to vulnerabilities that the 9/11 attackers exploited.

Early warnings

The CIA was aware that an attack on US soil was imminent months before 9/11. They had intelligence that pointed to a major strike, but their warnings were ignored. A notable warning in August 2001, titled “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US,” was dismissed by the administration.

image.png

Dismissal ©Getty Images

Despite the CIA’s efforts, their warnings were not heeded by the Bush administration, possibly due to overconfidence. Officials believed they were adequately handling the situation, while the CIA alerts were treated as background noise.

Miscommunication

The failure to prevent 9/11 was partially due to miscommunication and bureaucratic mismanagement among US intelligence agencies. The CIA and FBI had different focuses and lacked a central coordinating body to share information effectively.

Disjointed intelligence

At the time, the CIA was focused on international threats alone, which left them blind to domestic risks. In the meantime, the FBI lacked the means to assess the danger posed by foreign terrorist groups.

NORAD’s response

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) was tasked with defending US airspace, yet it failed to intercept any of the hijacked planes. Many questions have arisen as to how such a highly coordinated attack went undetected by one of the world’s most sophisticated defense systems.

Radical groups

Domestically, law enforcement allowed radical groups to operate within the US largely unchecked before 9/11. Existing laws could have shut down these groups, but prosecutors often considered such cases not worth the effort, leading to growing threats within the country.

Domestic terrorism threats

US intelligence had long known about domestic terrorism risks but failed to address them. Reports dating back decades revealed that the country was ill-prepared to handle such attacks, yet little was done to enact or enforce policies that could prevent such threats.

Flight 93

Flight 93, the fourth plane hijacked on 9/11, is known for crashing in Pennsylvania after passengers tried to retake control. Its intended target was likely the US Capitol, though Osama bin Laden had originally preferred to attack the White House.

(1) Nick Sortor on X: ” NOW: President Trump decided to take a visit to the fire department in Shanksville, PA, where Flight 93 went down on 9/11. These heroes genuinely look excited to meet him! Why don’t we see Kamala do this kind of thing? https://t.co/dxKQonWlqy” / X

You may also like: Historical events that nobody can explain

Heroic actions

The actions of Flight 93’s passengers, who stormed the cockpit after learning of the other attacks, have become a symbol of heroism. Their efforts prevented further destruction, though the exact target still remains a matter of investigation and speculation.

Let’s roll!” – Todd Beamer’s last words to a phone operator before charging the cockpit with fellow passengers and downing United Flight 93 before it could crash into DC. Intervention

Many others have debated whether Flight 93 was deliberately shot down by the US military. The wide debris field and the initial ambiguity surrounding military orders that day have created much speculation about the true nature of the crash.

Health consequences ©Getty Images

The health consequences of first responders at the World Trade Center on 9/11 have also been heavily debated. First responders have suffered long-term health issues, including cancer, respiratory diseases, and PTSD.

Cognitive decline

Cognitive decline among 9/11 first responders is becoming increasingly common decades later. Research indicates that many responders, now in their fifties, show brain deterioration typical of individuals much older, including severe cases of dementia.

Toxic dust

A Stony Brook University study from 2014 to 2023 confirmed a correlation between toxic dust exposure at the World Trade Center and the development of dementia among first responders. The study is a starting point for understanding these conditions, but more research is needed.

image.png

The use of torture ©Getty Images

In the wake of 9/11, American intelligence agencies engaged in torture at Guantanamo Bay and other secret prisons, using methods like waterboarding and sleep deprivation. These practices, often ineffective, have left lasting trauma on prisoners and violated international human rights laws.

Ineffectiveness

The torture carried out by US officials post-9/11 did little to provide useful intelligence and instead damaged the country’s reputation. By declaring the prisoners “unlawful enemy combatants,” the Bush administration was able to bypass the Geneva Conventions, sparking global controversy.

Human rights violations

Despite efforts to close Guantanamo Bay, the prison remains open. The use of torture by the CIA has stained the US’ global standing, with human rights organizations still unable to fully receive answers for the abuses that occurred.

Delayed trials

Over two decades after 9/11, key figures accused of orchestrating the attacks have yet to stand trial. Five men charged with planning the attacks have been held since the early 2000s, but their cases have faced numerous legal and logistical delays.

Legal complications

The trial process for 9/11 suspects has been delayed by numerous factors, including the inadmissibility of evidence obtained through torture. President Barack Obama’s attempt to move one trial to federal court was blocked, and military tribunals have proven controversial.

Omar al-Bayoumi

One of the lingering mysteries of 9/11 is the role of Omar al-Bayoumi, a Saudi national who helped two hijackers find housing in California. Though evidence suggests he may have known about the attacks, his exact involvement remains unclear.

Ties to Saudi intelligence

Omar al-Bayoumi (Arabic: عمر البيومي, romanized: ʿUmar al-Bayyūmī; born c. 1958) is a Saudi national with alleged links to two of the 9/11 hijackers in the United States. Files of the U.S. FBI, dating to before the attacks, demonstrate that he was a Saudi Arabian intelligence agent. Some believe he was a paid informant, while others (including families of 9/11 victims) have accused the Saudi government of financing the attacks. No official ties have been confirmed.

Transparency

In the decades since 9/11, calls for transparency regarding Saudi Arabia’s potential involvement have grown. Some documents related to the attacks remain heavily redacted, fueling theories that the US government may be protecting its ally from scrutiny.

image.png

Delay in declassifying documents ©Shutterstock

The delay in declassifying 9/11-related documents has sparked speculation about why the information was hidden in the first place. Some theorize it is to protect Saudi Arabia, a key US ally, though the Saudi government has denied involvement and supports declassification.

Financial transactions

Prior to the 9/11 attacks, there was a surge in financial transactions that some have interpreted as insider trading, speculating that certain individuals may have had foreknowledge of the attacks. Investigations into these financial activities have been inconclusive, but many questions still remain.

image.png

Building 7 collapse ©Public Domain

One of the most perplexing questions revolves around the collapse of World Trade Center Building 7 (WTC 7). Unlike the Twin Towers, it was not directly hit by planes but collapsed hours after the main attacks.

Official explanation

The official explanation for Building 7’s collapse cites fire-induced structural failure, but skeptics question the sudden, symmetrical nature of its collapse, and have compared it to controlled demolitions.

Perception of safety ©Getty Images

The public perception of safety was drastically changed due to 9/11. To this day, psychologists are still unravelling the unknown impact that the event had on civilians, and how it has shaped a more security-conscious world.

Pandemic

Attempts to prosecute 9/11 suspects were further stalled by the COVID-19 pandemic, which delayed jury selection and pretrial hearings. As of 2024, plea deals have fallen through, and the already complicated legal proceedings have been prolonged further.

WATCH: Trump misinformation about abortion ‘insulting’ to American women, Harris says (youtube.com) Daniel Dale CNN Digital | Published June 7, 2024 1:01 p.m. EDT

Fact check: Trump falsely claims Democratic states are passing laws allowing people to execute babies after birth

Facts First: Trump’s claim is false. No state has passed or is passing a law that allows the execution of a baby after it is born. Killing a person after birth is illegal in every state. “Every state explicitly criminalizes infanticide,” Mary Ziegler, a professor at the University of California, Davis School of Law, said Thursday. “There is no basis for this claim,” Kimberly Mutcherson, a professor at Rutgers Law School, said Thursday.

The Trump campaign did not respond to a CNN request to specify which states Trump was talking about. Mutcherson said: “The falsity of the claim can be seen in the fact that Trump never identifies such a state.”

There was at least one instance, in an interview with NBC last year, in which Trump specified that he was making the claim about the state of New York in addition to unspecified “other places.” But he was wrong then, too: New York did not pass a law allowing babies to be killed after birth, though false social media posts claimed it had.

Similar false claims have circulated about California.

Some of those claims were based on criticism of vague language in an early version of a Democratic state legislator’s 2022 bill that was intended to protect people from being prosecuted over miscarriages, stillbirths and self-managed abortions.

But the vague language was revised before the bill was signed into law.

Months before passage, a Democratic-led legislative committee acknowledged that the early text’s vague use of the phrase “perinatal death” might have inadvertently left open the interpretation that the bill would immunize people from punishment in all cases in which their baby died in the first days of its life, even in cases where the death was caused by acts after the baby was born.

The final bill that was signed into law by Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom clarified that the “perinatal death” immunity is specifically for “perinatal death due to causes that occurred in utero.” In other words, there is no basis for a claim that California passed a law legalizing post-birth executions.

A repeated false claim about legal scholars

Trump appointed three of the Supreme Court justices who voted in 2022 to overturn the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that had guaranteed abortion rights around the country. During his current presidential campaign, he has repeatedly made the false claim that all legal scholars had wanted Roe v. Wade overturned and power over abortion policy returned to individual states.

Trump said it again in the Fox News interview: “I say, let the states decide.

This is — every legal scholar wanted this to be where abortion should be.

Facts First: Trump’s claim that “every legal scholar” wanted Roe overturned and the power to set abortion policy returned to the states is not even close to true. Many legal scholars wanted Roe preserved, as several of them reiterated in April comments to CNN.

“Any claim that all legal scholars wanted Roe overturned is mind-numbingly false,” Mutcherson, who supported the preservation of Roe, said in April.

“Donald Trump’s claim is flatly incorrect,” Maya Manian, an American University law professor who also did not want Roe overturned, said in April.

Trump’s claim is “obviously not” true, said Ziegler, another scholar who did not want Roe overturned. She said in April: “Most legal scholars probably track most Americans, who didn’t want to overturn Roe. … It wasn’t as if legal scholars were somehow outliers.”

American women, Harris says

Vice President Kamala Harris pushed back against the false claim repeated by former President Donald Trump in their Sept. 10 debate that some states and Democrats supported “post-birth” abortions, or killing babies after they are born.

Killing anyone after birth is illegal. No states have or are considering laws that allow for the killing of a baby after birth.

When asked about her plans around abortion rights during the ABC News Presidential Debate, Harris pointed this out, and supported reinstating protections formerly offered by the landmark Roe v. Wade decision, overturned by the Supreme Court in 2022.

“Nowhere in America is a woman carrying a pregnancy to term and asking for an abortion — that is not happening. It’s insulting to the women of America,” Harris said.

She described the fallout of new abortion restrictions enacted by states after the high court’s Dobbs decision left the issue in their hands, including the challenge of women accessing care or having to travel out of state to receive, and doctors fearing providing abortion or miscarriage care for fear of prosecution.

According to the latest PBS News/NPR/Marist poll, more than two-thirds of Americans say they will watch all or most of the debate. While many voters have already made up their minds, 14 percent of Americans say the debate will have a great impact on which candidate they choose.

In an odd way, President Trump reminds me of Ed Norton (Honeymooners).

Uncouth and offensive to the “elite” Establishment, but always the first person called when the sewer needs clearing out. We elected him not for his table manners, but because he’ll get the job done.

I think he got a 7 or 8 last night for bringing out the truth, and I did notice they were all three attacking him…it was pretty unfair…I am an independent voter…I will be voting Trump. The man just keeps taking blows and I respect that big time….I have never voted for Dems and won’t again this year because after last night I feel like he’s fighting for me.

Nothing was fair about last night and sadly our country learned nothing about policy from either candidate. It was a waste of time to watch. our country better wake up before we become a socialist country. Mr. Trump is a sincere man who truly loves this country and the people! Glad you came to this side of the wall!!! No PUN intended!!

It was certainly not a debate.

It was an attack on Trump with the grinning jackanapes and ABC leading the charge.  After last night’s debate 63% of Americans supported Harris compared to 37% for Trump in a CNN poll. You’ll never see a lion reduced to an ant. He’ll fight tooth and nail to the bitter end. If I had to go to war with anyone to protect me, it would be him!

That’s for sure.

🧵THREAD: What does a Kamala Harris Administration look like?

CPAC @CPAC · Jul 30

While presiding over the U.S. Senate as VP she has cast the most tie-breaking votes (33) in history. These votes are not just politically polarizing but show how damaging a Kamala Harris White House would be. See for yourself: 👇

image.png

CPAC on X: “On February 5, 2021, Kamala Harris cast two tie breaking votes to pass Bernie Sanders’ budget bill, S. Con. Res. 5. This party-line resolution gave congress the authority to rush through President Biden’s wasteful and inflationary $1.9 trillion spending plan.  Since Kamala Harris cast the deciding vote on Bernie Sanders’ budget resolution, the national debt has increased by 22%.

On March 4, 2021, Kamala Harris cast the deciding vote to bring forward the “American Rescue Plan of 2021.” This $1.9 trillion spending bill prolonged supersized unemployment checks, gave “stimulus” checks for hundreds of millions, and provided grants to state and local governments which were used for non-COVID related projects. It was equally panned by both conservative and liberal economists who argued the increased government spending would harm economic stability in the long run by creating significant inflationary pressure. These concerns came true.

image.png

On April 21, 2021, Kamala Harris cast the deciding vote to advance the nomination of Colin Kahl for under secretary of defense for policy. Kahl had been opposed by the GOP for his involvement in the failed Iran nuclear deal during the Obama administration. Just months after Kamala Harris cast her vote, Kahl was a key official involved in the day-to-day decisions of the bungled Afghanistan withdrawal which resulted in the death of 13 American servicemembers, and $7 billion worth of military equipment left to the Taliban. Kahl was never fired for this, and later oversaw the D.O.D.’s unsuccessful U.S.–Ukraine policy before resigning in the summer of 2023 to return to his tenured teaching position at Stanford.

On June 22, 2021, Kamala Harris cast the deciding vote to confirm Kiran Ahuja as director of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Before her confirmation, Kiran Ahuja oversaw Philanthropy Northwest where she used dark money to promote Critical Race Theory and DEI throughout corporate America. As head of OPM until her resignation this April, Ahuja allowed work backlogs to pile up as more than half of government bureaucrats “teleworked” 3-5 days a week.

image.png

On July 21, 2021, Kamala Harris cast the deciding vote to confirm Jennifer Abruzzo as general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board. In this position, Abruzzo allowed frivolous litigation against Whole Foods, claiming that workers have a right to pursue “racial justice advocacy” and could not be fired for wearing “Black Lives Matter” masks and pins on their work uniforms. Abruzzo also used her position to upend college sports by authoring a memo paving the way for the 6-21 Dartmouth Men’s Basketball team, which has not had a winning season since 1999, to unionize and be classified as school employees.

On September 30, 2021, Kamala Harris cast the deciding vote to bring forward the nomination of Rohit Chopra as director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Chopra’s confirmation was immediately praised by the most progressive members of the Senate like Elizabeth Warren.

Chopra has used the position to require lenders to collect LGBTQ data of small businesses and is currently being sued by nearly every financial institution in the country for unlawfully bringing arbitrary and capricious enforcement actions outside the CFPB’s authority.
On December 8th 2021, Kamala Harris cast the deciding vote on the confirmation of Rachel Rollins for U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts. Rollins was opposed by both Republican and Democrat Members of the House and Senate because of her unwillingness to prosecute serious crimes as the Suffolk County (Boston) District Attorney. As a George Soros-backed “progressive prosecutor,” Rollins, as stated policy, refused to prosecute 15 crimes including trespassing, resisting arrest, and disturbing the peace.

She instead focused her office’s resources to treat the heroic police officers of Boston as criminals. Within a year of Harris casting the deciding vote, Rachel Rollins was investigated and found guilty by the United States Office of Special Counsel of violating the Hatch Act, by abusing her office and power as a prosecutor to influence political elections. She resigned shortly after the findings were made public and had her law license suspended shortly thereafter.

image.png

On May 11, 2022, Kamala Harris cast the deciding vote on the confirmation of Alvaro Bedoya to be a Federal Trade Commissioner. Bedoya is an outspoken left-wing activist linked to several Soros-backed dark money organizations which call for the censorship of “misinformation.” Bedoya called ICE “an out-of-control domestic surveillance agency,” shared posts calling individuals in the Trump administration “racist and white supremacist,” and praised AOC as the, “future of progressive politics.”

On August 7, 2022 Kamala Harris cast the deciding vote to pass the $1.2 trillion climate spending package sold to the American people as the “Inflation Reduction Act.” Just a year after passage, the typical U.S. family spent $709 more on monthly expenses than they did when Biden took office. That’s because the bill was actually just a slush fund for “green” energy projects that failed to materialize. Implementation of the policy has been an outright disaster. For example, the Washington Post found that the legislation’s $7.5 billion investment in EV charging only produced seven stations in two years. Instead of helping the American economy, the bill has been a boon to China. The increased “green” subsidies have resulted in over $1 billion worth of Chinese lithium-ion battery imports per month.

image.png

On July 12, 2023, Kamala Harris cast the deciding vote to bring forward the confirmation of Kalpana Kotagal to be a member of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. In her career as an attorney specializing in “diversity, equity, and inclusion,” Kalpana Kotagal represented the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund in suing Aetna to force the company to cover “breast augmentation” surgeries for transgender children. Just months after Kamala Harris sealed her confirmation, the EEOC released a proposed guidance which would allow businesses to be sued for misgendering, using incorrect pronouns, or refusing to let an employee use the bathroom of their “gender identity.”

These are things Trump should bring out if possible in the debate.

All she does and shows what she really believes.

U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris walks to cast a tie-breaking vote in the senate at the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, U.S., December 5, 2023. REUTERS/Leah Millis.

Dec 5 (Reuters) – Kamala Harris on Tuesday set the record for breaking the most ties in the Senate by a U.S. vice president as she cast a vote to confirm President Joe Biden’s nominee Loren AliKhan to become the first South Asian woman judge on the federal district court in Washington.

The Senate, narrowly controlled by Biden’s fellow Democrats, confirmed the District of Columbia Court of Appeals judge to a seat on the federal bench in the U.S. capital by a margin of 51-50 after Harris, a former senator from California, cast the tie-breaking vote. As vice president, Harris is also the Senate’s president and breaks ties when they arise.

As they have with many Biden judicial nominees, Republicans opposed AliKhan, citing stances she previously took as a District of Columbia government official. Senator Joe Manchin, a moderate Democrat, voted with the Republicans, necessitating the Harris tie-breaking vote.

The record Harris broke had stood for almost two centuries. Harris has now cast 33 Senate tie-breaking votes, exceeding the 31 cast by John Calhoun when he was vice president from 1825 to 1832. Calhoun is remembered today as a staunch defender of slavery and an advocate of states’ rights.

Earlier in the day, Harris broke a tie on a procedural vote to allow AliKhan’s nomination to move to a final confirmation vote. With those votes, Biden has now secured confirmation of 161 judicial nominees.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, a Democrat, hailed the role Harris has played in securing passage of major legislation and confirmation of judicial nominees, saying that “without her tie-breaking votes, there would be no American Rescue Plan, no Inflation Reduction Act, and we would not have confirmed many of the excellent judges now presiding on the bench.”

The American Rescue Plan (ARP) and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) have had significant impacts:

Did the American Rescue Plan, no Inflation Reduction Act, Work – Search (bing.com)

  1. Health Insurance: Millions of Americans are saving an average of $800 per year on health insurance premiums due to cost savings from the ARP, which the IRA extended1This has helped drive the nation’s uninsured rate to historic lows1.
  2. Economic Impact: The ARP provided substantial economic relief during the COVID-19 pandemic, but it also contributed to inflation along with other factors like supply chain disruptions and the war in Ukraine2.
  3. Climate and Jobs: The IRA has been instrumental in tackling the climate crisis and creating jobs. It has supported investments in clean energy and infrastructure, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote sustainable economic growth3.

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) has introduced several tax-related changes aimed at promoting clean energy and addressing climate change:

  1. Clean Energy Incentives: The IRA provides tax credits for individuals and businesses investing in renewable energy sources like solar and wind power. This includes credits for purchasing electric vehicles and making energy-efficient home improvements.
  2. Corporate Taxes: The act imposes a minimum tax of 15% on corporations with profits exceeding $1 billion. This aims to ensure that large, profitable companies pay a fair share of taxes.
  3. Prescription Drug Costs: The IRA allows Medicare to negotiate prices for certain high-cost prescription drugs, which is expected to lower costs for consumers and reduce federal spending.
  4. IRS Funding: The act allocates additional funding to the IRS to improve tax enforcement and customer service, aiming to close the tax gap and ensure better compliance.

These changes are designed to support environmental goals, ensure fair taxation, and reduce healthcare costs.

Is there a specific tax change you’re curious about?

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) impacts individual income taxes primarily through various incentives and credits aimed at promoting clean energy and energy efficiency. Here are some key points:

  1. Energy-Efficient Home Improvements: Homeowners can receive tax credits for making energy-efficient upgrades, such as installing solar panels, energy-efficient windows, and heat pumps.
  2. Electric Vehicle (EV) Credits: Individuals can benefit from tax credits when purchasing new or used electric vehicles. This aims to make EVs more affordable and encourage their adoption.
  3. Health Insurance Premiums: The IRA extends subsidies for health insurance premiums, which can reduce the overall tax burden for individuals by lowering out-of-pocket healthcare costs.
  4. Prescription Drug Costs: By allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices, the IRA indirectly impacts individual finances by potentially lowering prescription drug costs, which can reduce overall healthcare expenses.

These provisions are designed to support environmental goals and make healthcare more affordable, indirectly benefiting individual taxpayers.

Overall, both acts have had positive effects on health insurance affordability and economic recovery, though they have also faced criticism for contributing to inflation.

Clean energy investments have been gaining significant momentum, driven by both public and private sector initiatives.

Here are some key highlights:

  1. Increased Funding: Worldwide, clean energy investments are expected to be nearly twice the amount invested in fossil fuels this year. This surge is supported by reduced costs for green technologies and improvements in supply chains1.
  2. U.S. Initiatives: In the United States, there have been over 500 planned investments in new or expanded clean energy manufacturing facilities, totaling more than $160 billion. These investments cover areas such as solar energy, electric vehicle assembly, battery production, and offshore wind manufacturing2.
  3. Global Trends: The International Energy Agency (IEA) reports that total energy investment worldwide is set to exceed $3 trillion in 2024, with around $2 trillion directed towards clean technologies. This includes renewables, electric vehicles, nuclear power, grids, storage, low-emissions fuels, efficiency improvements, and heat pumps3.
  4. Economic Growth: Clean energy laws and funding have been fueling job creation and economic growth in various regions. For example, Michigan has seen significant economic benefits from federal investments aimed at transitioning to clean energy4.

These investments are crucial for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting sustainable economic growth, and achieving long-term environmental goals.

Who was the clear winner of Tuesday night’s presidential debate? (msn.com)

In the snap poll, 55 percent of voters said Trump would handle the economy better than Harris, while 35 percent said the reverse – a 20-point margin slightly wider than prior to the debate. Snap poll after debate reveals state of presidential race between Trump and Harris (msn.com)

However, the online poll of 800 independent voters suggested that the 90-minute debate may not have changed many minds. Harris added only two points to her overall support. While 36 percent said they planned to vote for Harris before the debate, the figure was 38 percent after the televised clash. And Trump’s share of the vote moved up from 44 percent to 45 percent, despite Harris and her supporters claiming victory. Bing Videos

Calming A Hyper Brain

Everything is fast paced these days.

News
Delivery
Deadlines
Workouts

So it’s natural for your breathing to get carried along with it.

And it turns out, it probably has.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, the MEDICALLY NORMAL respiration rate is 12-24 breaths per minute.

🤯 What 24 BPM really means is inhaling for 1.25 seconds and exhaling for 1.25 seconds with no pauses.

Give that a try for 30 seconds and see how that feels.

And you wonder why everyone is so anxious???

It may be normal, but it sure isn’t HEALTHY.

Your breath is like a remote control for your autonomic nervous system.

🫁 Which means that the way you breath all day can literally push you into or out of a stress response.

FASTER breathing means more stress, SLOW means less.

So as you’re going about your day, sitting at your desk, going on a walk, even some light exercise, can you notice how quickly you start breathing FAST and try slowing things down just a bit?

Can you accomplish stuff without amping yourself up?

Learning this skill can do wonders for improving resilience to stress in the rest of your life.

There’s no way of opting out of the mind-body connection.

When you’re excited, you usually feel pretty good.

When you’re in a low mood, your breathing is likely to be depressed and held.

Your body is always listening to the mental chatter and responding accordingly— not to punish you, but to actually try to help!

But when the mental stress turns into physical tension and usually your breathing shifts to being held or it speeds up.

And when there is no accompanying physical movement that can be damaging to our physical mental and emotional health over time.

This isn’t about policing your thoughts and never allowing anything negative to cross your mind.

It’s about building an awareness of how your breathing and tension patterns shift throughout the day and learning how to intervene when the physical response to any mental stress, anxiety or frustration is manifesting in ways that are just going to exacerbate that mood or mental pattern.

So knowing that you can’t escape this reality, what are you currently doing throughout your day to actively notice and make some choices about what’s happening in your body based on your thoughts?

If you don’t know the answer, then chances are that it’s not what you’d intentionally CHOOSE.

And asking yourself, this question can be tender as you may imagine that you’re optimizing for what you want, when in reality what you actually do, day-to-day might be so far away from that.

It’s so easy to let the circumstances of life determine our behavior.

But that daily behavior impacts our stories and our nervous systems-and as a result, our health and well-being.

And too frequently, when we aren’t consciously optimize for something, we’re actually optimizing for chaos.

So what is one small step you can implement today to try to better support something you’d actually LIKE yo optimize for?

A timer for 5 minute breathers a few times throughout your workday?
Putting your phone in the other room when hanging out with your family?

Make one small intentional choice consistently and watch how it blossoms into the rest of your life.

I’m no parenting expert. I’m not a psychologist and I haven’t read all the books.

But I have found 3 things to be universally true:

1. When we are past our capacity the tiniest things can throw us over the edge. This is true whether you are 3 or 63.

2. It’s a good idea not to put too much value on your feelings when you are in those states as capital T TRUTHS.

3. Witnessing without judgement is a gift we so RARELY give ourselves.

I can ignore my kid, walk away and let her cry it out, I can punish and force her to stop, or I can witness with love.

The same is true for your own inner kid.

And if you haven’t spent much time tuning in, slowing down, listening to your own internal sensations when there is no emergency, it will be very challenging to do so when you are all stirred up.

That’s why embodiment is the proactive practice for real life stress.

It builds capacity.

Breathwork doesn’t have to be still.

Breathwork doesn’t have to be calm.

Breathwork doesn’t have to be….anything really.

You’re breathing all day long, so if you make a conscious choice about HOW you’re breathing, that’s breathwork in my book.

Here’s what happens to A LOT of people:

You sit all day at a computer.

You get tired mentally and perhaps you get anxious or your mood drops as a result.

And so because you can’t think clearly or don’t feel great, you think you should do some breathwork or meditation.

So you sit down to meditate, but sitting still feels impossible.

Quieting your mind feels impossible.

After all…you’ve just been SITTING all day. Your body is probably craving movement!

And so then you feel bad that you can’t focus and the thing that’s supposed to help your mind feel better also feels bad.

But “breathwork” doesn’t have to be still.

What if sometimes it’s active?
What if it’s playful?
What if it’s in motion?
What if it’s a walk?
What if it’s rowing?
What if it’s stretching?
What if it’s any slow repetitive motion that feels good?

And what you’ll find is that by incorporating some kind of moving breathing BEFORE you try to sit still and quiet your mind, you’ll probably have a much more pleasurable experience.

No matter where you are today, close your eyes and take 3 minutes to sit and breathe with me.

This is NOT box breathing, but triangle breathing 🙂

It’s similar to a box, but you cut out the final exhale hold.

Because of this, it should help you downregulate faster, help your heart rate decrease and be quite calming.

inhale: pause: exhale

I did 5:5:5, but the exact number doesn’t matter too much as long as it’s on the slower side.

Experiment with 3:3:3, 4:4:4, and 5:5:5 to see what feels good for you.

Let me know in the comments how it goes and share with someone who might need a breather today.

Consistency is the only way to succeed over time.

And too many of the things you’re doing to:

“Get after it!”
“Crush it!”
or “Rise & grind!”

are actually PREVENTING you from showing up consistently with focus, energy and dare I say, love.

Does this mean you shouldn’t work hard or sprint sometimes?

Absolutely not.

But pretending you can go after each and every day relentlessly either in your workouts, at work or in business without there eventually being consequences is misunderstanding the physical realities of living in a human body.

AND the things you do in the short-term to try and override these realities (stimulants, fad diets, cold plunges) will eventually stop working for you if your nervous system continues to never get a chance to down regulate.

🐢 Remember the tortoise. and the Hare🐇

Most people think it’s all about the event.

Exercise = good stress.
Money troubles = bad stress
An escape room puzzle = good stress
Losing a loved one = bad stress

And while I agree that some things are just inherently not “good” the reality is that the event itself doesn’t actually determine whether the stress leads to positive or negative health outcomes.

Here’s what REALLY makes stress good or bad:

1. The state of the nervous system going into it
Your state of arousal, energetic resources, level of groundedness plays a HUGE role in whether you interpret a situation as good or bad, stressful or manageable. When you are well rested and feeling supported, someone can cut you off in traffic and you only find it slightly annoying, whereas when you’re already amped up, bad traffic can ruin your whole day.

2. Your mindset before during & after
Your interpretation of whether or not the stress is bad for you or not literally transforms your physiological response to the stress. If you think stress is there to give you energy and focus to deal with a problem, then you will have a challenge response much like exercise (good stress) and if your think stress is a scary, you’ll have a threat response (bad stress.)

3. Your ability to recover from it.
Even if you have a HUGE stressor that pops up and you have a HUGE stress response, that doesn’t automatically make it harmful—how long the stress response stays turned on is what matters. If you are able to DOWNREGULATE & recover when the stressor is over, then your health will not be harmed long-term.

Surprising?

Share this with someone who might need a little re-frame on their relationship to stress.

The things we try to avoid the most are usually the things we need the most.

I’ll make this simple:

-High pressure fast paced jobs
-Sitting in front of a screen all day
-Being productivity focused

are all highly sympathetic, stressful and USE a high amount of energy.

While exercise is incredibly beneficial, and short-term can boost your mood, it also USES a high amount of energy.

💫 So if exercise is your only tool for de-stressing, eventually it will become unsustainable as what you really need is something that REPLENISHES your energy.

And that’s where down regulation practices are so important.

They are required for helping your body get into a mode where it can divert, energetic resources towards cellular restoration, digestion, sleep, immunity, longevity, and reproductive health.

🚨 AND if you have an aversion towards quiet, that is a good sign you aren’t getting in those deep rest states frequently enough.

But the good news is, once you learn how to do so frequently and successfully, it will actually GIVE you more energy to do all of the work, productivity, and working out that you crave and love.

So it turns out that doing nothing can actually be the most productive thing you do all day.

If only healing with something as simple as pressing a button.

Scrolling through this app you think it was.

🔌 There’s so many promises of RESETS out there, but the truth is that there is no technique, method or breathwork that can instantly reset your nervous system.

Now breathwork CAN quickly shift your nervous system from one state to another in a matter of minutes—which is one reason why it’s amazing!

And it can feel like a reset during your hectic day.

But has that reset your nervous system? No.

Because what does RESET even mean?

Going backwards in time?

Returning to some hypothetical version of yourself that hasn’t experienced what you’ve experienced, or learned what you’ve learned?

🚩 That’s not healthy, that’s denial.

Your nervous system is complex and is the way it is because of an interwoven mix of past experiences, learning, sensory data, level of arousal, breathing habits, environmental cues, mindset and more.

Anyone promising they can return you to factory settings is either misinformed, untrustworthy or potentially dangerous.

NOW, can your nervous system change? Adapt? Heal?

*DATE CHANGE*
Stress impacts your mental & physical health, mood, energy levels & MOST IMPORTANTLY, how kind, empathetic and generous you are capable of being each day.

Come learn the skills required to transform your relationship to stress for good in this virtual group class.

This is a CRAZY discounted mini-version of my 1:1 coaching programs and includes four 75 min classes, weekly exercises, an accountability spreadsheet to track your progress, audio tracks, videos & more.

Week 1: Relief

Week 2: Resilience

Week 3: Burnout Prevention & Habit Building

Week 4: Mind-body Integration

ABSOLUTELY!

But it’s a process.

It requires time, awareness, patience, and consistency.

All things that aren’t sexy sellers.

But it’s the truth.

And if you want to do more than just have an experience, it’s the only way that I know to make meaningful transformation.

Stay safe out there.

What physical sensations are the hallmark of a stress response?

Increase in heart rate
Feeling energized
Faster or deeper breathing
Alert

Now, imagine a game night and you’re playing charades

Or you have to solve a problem right before a meeting

Or you’re playing basketball and it’s game point

Would any of those “stress” physiological responses be helpful?

Absolutely.

I almost wish I could rename the stress response to an activation response because the word stress has such a negative connotation today.

It’s nearly impossible to convince people that this response isn’t good or bad, it just IS.

Now what is helpful/less helpful is your mental interpretation or story about the response. Because that actually can change how it shows up, how your heart reacts, and how long the stress response stays turned on.

The next time you notice yourself getting “stressed” see if there is any reason why your body might be trying to help you with more energy and focus. If so, thank you. Use it.

And when you’re finished, down-regulate and help lower the heat.

Testimonial

I am a lawyer in the financial service industry, Over the years as my role expanded. Then the pandemic hit and caused an uptick in my general life stress.  Whitelaw staring at her computer screen felt overwhelmed, so badly she felt like she couldn’t breath. It was 9am and overnight she received 50 emails for her to deal with. Then she got up from her office chair and when she returned there were 20 more.

She couldn’t calm herself and knew she had to find a better way, Jill felt tense all the time as her doctor increased her Lexapro in November of 2021. Which she had me on for many years then added blood pressure medicine — a new condition brought on by stress. I initially felt better than eight months later, the same stress sensations and panicky feelings returned. I reached a low point and couldn’t even handle looking at my emails.

Then in August 2022 her life coach suggested breathwork and a practitioner of the Alexander technique, a gentle movement and posture practice that can calm the nervous system and found Kevin Munhall’s website Habit Disruption. Which talks about mindful controlled breathing that can reduce anxiety, depression and stress. In his office Kevin saw I heard tension that prevented me from getting a full breath.

Hope & Peace At Last

At our first session Kevin taught breathing techniques to help relax the nervous system. Laying on the table he asked for me to breathe through my nose for 3 seconds then out my nose for 3 seconds. Through each progression which got longer and longer, I immediately felt the heaviness lifted as I felt lighter and lighter, as it was so much easier to move. He said in time you will have the power to calm yourself and I felt filled with HOPE. I then practiced everything he taught me to do in our weekly home sessions.

Now if I feel really nervous: I inhale for a count of 4. Then hold it for seven and exhale for an eight count. I feel calmer immediately — sometimes I do box breathing. a cycle of inhaling for a 5 count, holding for a 5 count then exhaling for a 5 count, then holding for a 5 count and then repeating. It works wonders as I feel calmer and more refreshed, energized in a calm way. Today I feel like I have myself back, and feel capable of handling anything that comes my way and I am more willing to take on new challenges.

When we are stressed our fight or flight is activated causing our breathing to become more rapid and shallower. By slowing our breathing down it appears to send signals to the brain that slows our heart rate down. Which reduces the stress hormone cortisol which produces feelings of calm, says Patricia Gerbarg MD., assistant professor of psychiatry at New York Medical College and co-author of the healing Power of the Brain. From Trauma To Profound Freedom

Written by: Evangelia Vensel, Executive Contributor

– Evangelia Vensel, Cellular Health & Beauty expert.

Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise.
How do we find freedom from a broken past that keeps us hostage from becoming the best version of ourselves?

As a trauma survivor, Evangelia Vensel – Search (bing.com)

Is a trauma healer and published author of “Escaping the matrix of toxicity”  Which is about my journey of how I escaped trauma and how I can help free other trauma victims from their painful experiences with what helped me, I feel it is my mission and duty to bring truth and awareness about the side effects of unresolved trauma. To offer and hold a sacred space for healing and create unique paths for others to receive freedom from their traumas.
I attempted traditional coping strategies for decades to weather the storms resulting from my childhood negative experiences to no avail. Non-traditional methods allowed me to finally open the locked door that kept me caged within my inner child wounds.

Sitting on a couch with a therapist once or twice a week never resolved anything.

I was skipping like a broken record and remained compromised. I was a prisoner in my mind, body and spirit. I was constantly seeking ways to stop the repeating tape of traumatic experiences with drugs, toxic substances, toxic relationships and crazy risk-taking. I just wanted freedom and inner peace.
Freedom from the visions, and memories of my physical abuse I was enduring at home every day. Freedom from the emotional neglect and lack of nurturing. Freedom from the yelling. Freedom from being repeatedly molested and sexually abused by family members. Freedom from an environment where I never felt seen or heard. Freedom from a young teen being groomed to be matched up with a sexual predator. Freedom from all the rapes I’d been subjected to. Freedom from all the negativity and negative words that had been spoken over me like curses. Freedom from all the bullying. Freedom from reliving the experience of having a gun pointed to my head as a seven-year-old child.
Freedom from my own mind was what I was truly seeking, but didn’t know it for 30 years.

No one ever told me that what I was experiencing and suffering with were the coping side effects of CPTSD.

Unresolved trauma affects us on a cellular level. Trauma has a vibration that exists within the cell’s activity and function. Trauma is a negative vibration that creates a dis-ease, a disruption, dysfunction and disharmonious state within the state of every cell in our body. This is why trauma victims’ minds, bodies and spirits become so compromised. Over time, our cells can no longer co-exist with that negative vibration. This is when the internal pain, the dis-ease state of the cellular system begins to manifest itself physically and mentally.
My unresolved trauma over 30 years broke my body to the point my organs weren’t functioning properly. My immune system was weak and compromised. My nervous system was in a chronic state of fight or flight and my joints were on fire to the point I became bedridden. I had cancer cells circulating throughout my body and my brain felt on fire and seemed to barely work. My body was able to co-regulate the metals and chemical exposure during my years as a beautician…until it couldn’t. The toxins began to leak into my bloodstream and brain. My neurological system was compromised and I began to have Parkinson like symptoms. Saying it was scary is an understatement. I was bedridden for 4 years. It was like living in a deep psychosis; full of physical, debilitating pain, trapped in my own past. It was a very painful and dark experience that I am grateful to have escaped.

My trauma going unresolved for over 30 years broke my body to the point my organs weren’t functioning properly.

My immune system was weak and compromised. My nervous system was in a chronic state of fight or flight and my joints were on fire to the point I became bedridden. I had cancer cells circulating throughout my body and my brain felt on fire and barely worked. All the metals and chemicals my body was able to co-regulate from being a beautician began to leak into my bloodstream and into my brain. My neurological system was compromised and I began to have Parkinson-like symptoms. Saying it was scary is an understatement. Being bedridden for 4 years was like living in a deep psychosis full of physical, debilitating pain, trapped in my own past. It was a very painful and dark experience that I am grateful to have escaped.
I do not wish this existence on my worst enemy. I feel a calling to try and prevent this from happening to other trauma sufferers.

Much was revealed to me seeing my own cells on a flatscreen from a blood sample under a dark field microscope.

This shook me awake and I realized what was actually taking place in my body on a cellular level. My compromised state of existence was killing me and allowing pathogens, toxins and metals to take over my entire body and cellular system. Talk about a wake up call!!! What shocked me the most was that I thought I had done trauma work. I thought
I was eating the right foods and doing the best to take care of myself, but my unresolved traumas were affecting my body’s ability to receive or absorb anything good.
So I ventured outside the box to change the state of my cells and entire system, mind, body and soul.

I had already tried hypnotherapy, hypnosis, cognitive behavioral therapy, DNRS, EMDR, NLP, GRUPTA, SILVIA, talk therapy,

but nothing was sticking…until I read the book by Dr Bruce Lipton, cell biologist, “The Biology Of Belief“ which lead me to energy psychology for reprogramming of my subconscious mind and the retraining of my nervous system. I call it “the renewal and reset of the system.” It is considered “epigenetics.” A method that allows us the ability to turn off our negative gene expressions and rewire the self-limiting and self-sabotaging belief system. The subconscious mind is the part of the brain and the mind that controls our outcome, how we perceive reality/circumstances and what controls the fate of our cells. We are only as healthy as the state of our cellular activity.

What is epigenetics and energy psychology?

Is a non-invasive, interactive process of change with a proven record of success for over 30 years!a simple, yet powerful process to change subconscious beliefs that are self-limiting and self-sabotaginga unique blend of various tools for change, some contemporary and some ancient, derived from contemporary neuroscience research, as well as ancient mind/body wisdoma groundbreaking approach to facilitating change at the subconscious level where at least 95% of our consciousness operates.a process that transcends the standard methods of visualization, affirmations, will power, and positive thinking especially effective in the areas of behavioral/habit change, wellness and stress reduction ¹
Most of us were not taught that we had this ability. We weren’t given the proper knowledge about how our entire cellular system responds to vibrations. Light, sound, water, words, thoughts and beliefs all have a vibration and their own frequency. Yes, words, thoughts and beliefs have a frequency. Those that are living a compromised existence within the body are just trying to coexist with the negative vibrations of their unresolved traumas. Eventually the internal pain turns into physical pain and starts to shut down the organs.

By the time I was 40 years old, my unresolved trauma manifested in diagnoses of seemingly all autoimmune and chronic-pain conditions known to conventional medicine.

I was taking every pharmaceutical medication that the allopathic doctors were prescribing. I was continuously using toxic beauty products as a beautician. Due to my lack of awareness and knowledge of how the body functions, I was leading my own body to an untimely death. Ultimately, gained knowledge was the only power available that would lead to the recovery of my well-being. It ended up transforming my life.
Live blood and cell analysis along with energy psychology was a game changer for me. The ability to communicate and witness the state of our cells was intriguing to me to say the least! This propelled me to become certified to facilitate these transformative methods on others that are suffering with CPTSD, PTSD, and chronic illness. Witnessing the transformation on a cellular level under a microscope by releasing the traumas and rewiring the subconscious mind is a miraculous experience. I would love to give the same feeling and transforming experience to all trauma victim survivors that are led to me. It is empowering to discover which traumas and beliefs are sabotaging us on a cellular level without the torment that reliving those traumatic events would bring. Energy psychology can truly change lives. Victims become victors. The process is painless, shooting quickly straight to the root cause, without a series of sessions. Major work or exercises are not needed, only your willingness for change.

Jumping break free

I am now a facilitator with the ability to help free others from their traumas.

I offer 4-7 day trauma healing retreats in an off-grid sacred space. Clients are able to focus on their trauma release. This experience can deliver miracles for transformation in the mind, body and spirit. Trauma victims need to be seen, heard and embraced to fully let go of their pain. If you are seeking the root cause to your pain or need to release what has happened to you, I am here for you.

A YELLOW RETREAT

May 15, 2024 As U.S. Leaves Bagram Air Base, Russia, Iran and China Weigh Options in Afghanistan. Sgt. Jesse Coggins/982nd Signal Company/U.S. Army

U.S. service members load equipment during the base clearance process “in support of the safe and orderly exit of Coalition Forces” from Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan. Russia, Iran and China are weighing their options for Afghanistan’s uncertain future as U.S. forces reportedly withdrew from its largest airfield as part of a total military exit from the war-torn country.

If you’re looking to travel from Bagram Airfield to Beijing, China, the distance is approximately 3,500 kilometers (about 2,175 miles) by air. The pullout has been part of an ongoing process to ensure what the Pentagon has deemed a “safe and orderly exit” of the U.S. and coalition partners from the country, but regional countries have expressed concern as violence continues to ravage Afghanistan.

Begin your day with a curated outlook of top news around the world and why it matters.
“Recently, against the backdrop of the completion of the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan, we have seen an increase in the activity of the Taliban movement in a number of regions of the country,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova told reporters Monday, “especially in the northern and northeastern provinces, in close proximity to the borders of the Central Asian states.”
She then offered details of the amount of territory now controlled by the Taliban.
“In this part of Afghanistan, over the past 10 days, more than 30 counties have come under the control of the militants,” she said. “The Afghan National Security Forces are struggling to contain the onslaught.” But she signaled confidence that the Taliban might not move into strongholds of the internationally-recognized Afghan government, including Kabul.

“At the same time, large cities and administrative centers of the provinces, including the capital of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Kabul, remain intact,” she said, “which indicates that the armed opposition currently lacks the necessary resources.”Moscow has its own difficult experience fighting in Afghanistan. In the 1980s, the Soviet Union attempted to back a communist government there against a mujahideen insurgency that received support from the U.S. and other regional powers. Moscow was forced to withdraw as the country collapsed into a civil war that ultimately led to the rise of the Taliban, as well as Al-Qaeda.

Al-Qaeda’s involvement in the 9/11 attacks prompted the U.S.-led intervention that put an end to the Taliban’s rule, but prompted an insurgency that Washington and its allies have struggled for two decades to defeat. Last year, the U.S. and the Taliban struck a historic peace deal to facilitate a U.S. military departure while paving a path toward reconciliation between Kabul and the Taliban, though the latter has continued to gain ground nationwide.Even before former President Donald Trump‘s administration began talks with the Taliban, Moscow had hosted the group and established ties in hopes of securing its own role in Afghanistan. Now, Russia is counting on these relations to ensure stability in the state.

“According to the statements of the Taliban Movement representatives themselves and according to our estimates,” Zakharova said, “the TM does not intend to aggravate relations with neighboring countries.”
But she voiced concern that continued instability in Afghanistan could negatively impact its neighbors.
“At the same time, the increase in military tension in the provinces of Afghanistan bordering the Central Asian states may lead to a humanitarian crisis and an increase in the number of refugees in the region, which causes our concern,” Zakharova said. “In this regard, we call on both conflicting Afghan parties to an early cessation of hostilities and the beginning of meaningful negotiations on an agenda of national reconciliation, so that this is recorded not only in words, but also in deeds.”
Concerns have also been expressed by former Soviet bloc states in Central Asia including Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, with which both the U.S. and Russia have sought to shore up relations in recent weeks.
Another regional power watching carefully sits along Afghanistan’s western border—Iran. The fellow Islamic Republic has invested heavily via its Shiite Muslim network of militias in countering Sunni Muslim insurgencies in the Middle East, and, while Iran has welcomed news of U.S. troops leaving Afghanistan, any uptick in unrest there would be most unwelcome.
On Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh told a press briefing that Tehran saw a need for the establishment of an inclusive government through “peaceful and sustainable solutions.”
He saw the Taliban as a part of the solution, but not its entirety.

“The Taliban does not constitute all of Afghanistan,” Khatibzadeh said, “but is part of that country and part of the way out of the crisis.”

Khatibzadeh acknowledged a worsening in the security situation in the country, where he said Tehran was monitoring the movements of groups such as the Islamic State (ISIS), which Iran-backed fighters fought in Iraq and Syria.

He emphasized that Iran was prepared to foster efforts for inter-Afghan talks and unity.”Violence has escalated in Afghanistan,” Khatibzadeh said. “Some ethnicities are under pressure, and we called for respect for their rights. The political solution would guarantee the future of Afghanistan.”

Speaking at the Second United Nations High-Level Conference on Counter-Terrorism, a forum established 15 years ago in the wake of the U.S.-led “War on Terror,” Chinese permanent representative to the United Nations Zhang Jun commented Tuesday on the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan.

“Despite the significant progress made in international counter-terrorism cooperation, the world remains confronted with tangible threats of terrorism,” Zhang said. “ISIS is very active in Iraq and Syria, and the withdrawal of foreign troops has led to a sharp deterioration in the security situation in Afghanistan, with terrorist forces such as Al Qaeda, ISIS and the East Turkestan Islamic Movement waxing strong and wreaking havoc.”

While a virtual global consensus exists on the threat posed by Al-Qaeda and ISIS, the U.S. last year delisted the East Turkestan Islamic Movement, or Turkestan Islamic Party, as a “terrorist organization” under the Immigration and Nationality Act last November.
The U.S. has targeted the mostly ethnic Uighur group in past years, but a State Department spokesperson told Newsweek last month that the group was removed because “for more than a decade, there has been no credible evidence that ETIM continues to exist.”

“We assess that ETIM is now a broad label China uses to inaccurately paint a variety of Uighur actors, including non-violent activists and advocates for human rights, as terrorist threats,” the spokesperson said at the time. “China often labels individuals and groups as terrorists on the basis of their political and religious beliefs, even if they do not advocate violence.”
Both China and its strategic partner, Pakistan, another nation heavily invested in the outcomes in neighboring Afghanistan, have raised concerns over the move. Pakistan has deep ties in Afghanistan, and has offered to use its influence, including with the Taliban, to attempt to advance peace talks between the Afghan government and its powerful rival. Meanwhile, both Pakistan and India have accused one another of sponsoring terrorist activities in Afghanistan.

With the U.S. military presence in Afghanistan rapidly winding down, State Department spokesperson Ned Price emphasized during a press conference Monday that Washington would maintain assistance to Kabul in other ways.
“We are withdrawing our military forces, as the president announced, but we intend to maintain a diplomatic presence in Kabul,” Price said. “That is something that is important to us, given our enduring desire to have a continued partnership with the Afghan Government, and crucially with the Afghan people.”

He emphasized that the U.S. was not abandoning Afghanistan.
“It is absolutely not the case that we intend to abandon Afghanistan, that we intend to relent in our support for the Government of Afghanistan, that we intend to diminish our support and our partnership for the people of Afghanistan,” Price said.

He stressed that the U.S. commitment to Afghanistan will survive its military exit.

“Obviously, that relationship will look different with the military withdrawal underway, and once it is completed in the coming weeks and months,” Price said. “But that does not in any way diminish the commitment we have to the Afghan government and to the Afghan people.
The Taliban, for its part, has vowed to play a positive role in the country’s future governance, and welcomed the news that the U.S. military had left Bagram Air Base.
“We consider evacuation of all US forces from #Bagram a positive step & seek withdrawal of foreign forces from all parts of the country,” Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid tweeted Friday. “Such is in the interest of both of them & Afghans. Afghans can move closer to peace & security with complete withdrawal of foreign forces.”

Are Chinese troops at Bagram air base?

By Sulaiman

2022-05-04

KABUL — A recent report circulating online that Chinese military trainers have been deployed to Bagram Airforce Base has raised concerns among Afghans already skeptical of increasing Chinese interest in the country. Recent visits to Afghanistan by Chinese officials and reports that Chinese military trainers are working with the Haqqani Network have sparked concerns among Afghans.

Unnamed sources told “AND Magazine” in early October :

that “multiple Chinese military aircraft have landed” at Bagram Airforce Base. Their purpose at the time was unclear, but the magazine reported March 13 that “Chinese military personnel are on the ground at Bagram, and they are training Haqqani Network fighters”.  Elements from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence personnel are also present at the base, it said.

Recent statements have supported these claims.

“A small contingent of foreign troops [have] taken some of the inner sections of the Bagram airbase,” Amrullah Saleh, former Afghan vice president and former director of the National Directorate of Security, tweeted April 22.

“I don’t want to speculate on who they are & what functions they perform. It won’t remain dark for long though. They train the Haqani militias which is confirmed by multiple sources.”

The Haqqani Network is blamed for some of the deadliest attacks in Afghanistan during the last two decades. It has historical ties to al-Qaeda and a partnership with the “Islamic State of Iraq and Syria” Khorasan branch (ISIS-K).

While the Haqqani Network takes care of planning and providing resources, ISIS launches the attacks and takes responsibility, providing a smokescreen from accusations, Afghan officials said in February 2021.

China ‘exacerbating’ crisis

China has not confirmed the report, but the news has been spreading on social media, where Afghans have expressed grave concern. “The Bagram issue and the training of Haqqani fighters by the Chinese are a very important topic of discussion,” said Rahmatullah Bezhan, an Afghan political analyst in Norway.

Although “such deployment has not been confirmed or reported by the intelligence community so far”, he said, “the deployment of Chinese troops to Bagram air base or [generally to] Afghanistan for conducting any strategic assignments would be a very hasty and immature move.”

“The visits of the foreign minister and other Chinese officials to Afghanistan, whose government has not recognised Kabul’s [new] administration, are very suspicious,” Bezhan said.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited Kabul on March 24 for talks.

“The attempts by the Chinese to move around and build networks in Afghanistan will not benefit the country’s stability, security or government creation, but rather will exacerbate its crisis,” Bezhan said. “It will drag the Chinese from a clearly understandable game to a challenging one that will cost them immensely.”

Interference in Afghan affairs

Any Chinese military presence in Afghanistan is against Afghanistan’s national interests and contrary to international laws, said several other analysts. “If the news is true that the Chinese have sent troops to Afghanistan, this would be a major shift in China’s policy, and such presence is indeed considered interference and is against international law,” said Wais Naseri, an Afghan analyst in Germany.

“What is clear is that China is in political, economic and military competition with the United States,” he said. “China is very interested in Afghanistan.” “A Chinese military presence in Afghanistan is a sensitive matter for the region and the world,” said Abdul Basir Salangi, a former Parwan provincial governor now in Turkey.

He doubts that Chinese troops are indeed in Afghanistan but says “there is a very likely possibility of the Chinese training Haqqani Network militias in Miranshah, Peshawar and Quetta”. China might have dispatched a small group of intelligence analysts to Afghanistan to obtain information about Uighur insurgency’ activities, said Arif Kayani of Islamabad, an Afghan political and military analyst.

Jawed Khaliqi, 27, a political science student at a private university in Kabul, agreed.

“It is very likely that they [the Chinese] are training Haqqani Network militias to suppress Uighur fighters in Afghanistan,” he said.

China after Afghanistan’s mines

Other analysts point to the economic value that China could find in Afghanistan. Chinese companies have already expressed interest in investing in Afghanistan’s mining sector, and friendly relations with Kabul would pave the way for an expansion of Beijing’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) into Afghanistan and through the Central Asian republics.

Among other goals, the BRI is meant to facilitate the extraction and shipping of poorer countries’ natural resources for Chinese benefit. “China’s policies show that China is very interested in Afghanistan’s mines,” said Mirza Muhammad Yarmand, a former deputy interior minister now in France.

“They are trying to get the contract and exploit Afghanistan’s mines because … the distance is very convenient and cost effective,” he said. In Yarmand’s view, Beijing knows better than to inject troops into Afghanistan. “There is no need for Chinese troops to come to Afghanistan, and if they do so, it will cause a major regional controversy and a conflict between the East and the West,” he said.

“The presence of Chinese troops is not acceptable to any Afghan because China has not made any contribution towards the stability, security or economic development of Afghanistan,” said Khaliqi, the university student. “China’s only goal in Afghanistan is to plunder our mines,” he said. “China’s military presence does not serve the national interest of Afghans but will complicate the situation and increase proxy wars in Afghanistan.”

Remember September 11 2001 – Search Videos (bing.com)

September 11, 2001, is a day that remains deeply etched in the memories of many. On that day, 19 terrorists from the extremist group al-Qaeda hijacked four commercial airplanes and carried out coordinated attacks against the United States. Two planes were flown into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, causing both towers to collapse. A third plane hit the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane, United Airlines Flight 93, crashed into a field in Pennsylvania after passengers attempted to overcome the hijackers1 2.

Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives in these attacks, and the events had a profound impact on the world, leading to significant changes in global security and foreign policy3. It’s a day of remembrance and reflection for many, honoring the lives lost and the bravery of first responders and ordinary citizens who acted heroically.

How do you remember that day?

Bi·den Shat·tered Con·tin·gen·cy Plan

Biden Follows Through

Feb. 3 — The Afghanistan Study Group, which was created by Congress in December 2019 and charged with making policy recommendations for a peaceful transition in Afghanistan, releases a report recommending changes to the agreement with the Taliban.

“The most important revision is to ensure that a complete withdrawal of U.S. troops is based not on an inflexible timeline but on all parties fulfilling their commitments, including the Taliban making good on its promises to contain terrorist groups and reduce violence against the Afghan people, and making compromises to achieve a political settlement,” it said.

Feb. 19 — Biden reiterates his campaign promise to bring U.S. troops home from Afghanistan, saying during remarks at the Munich Security Conference, “My administration strongly supports the diplomatic process that’s underway and to bring an end to this war that is closing out 20 years. We remain committed to ensuring that Afghanistan never again provides a base for terrorist attacks against the United States and our partners and our interests.”

March 7 — Secretary of State Antony Blinken tells Afghanistan President Ashra Ghani that, despite future U.S. financial assistance, he is “concerned that the security situation will worsen and the Taliban could make rapid territorial gains.”

March 25 — Gen. Richard Clarke, commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command, tells the Senate Armed Services Committee that “it is clear that the Taliban have not upheld what they said they would do and reduce the violence. While…they have not attacked U.S. forces, it is clear that they took a deliberate approach and increased their violence…since the peace accords were signed.”

March 25 — During a press conference at the White House, Biden says “it’s going to be hard to meet the May 1 deadline. Just in terms of tactical reasons, it’s hard to get those troops out.” He assures that “if we leave, we’re going to do so in a safe and orderly way.” Without committing to a pullout date, Biden says, “it is not my intention to stay there for a long time. But the question is: How and in what circumstances do we meet that agreement that was made by President Trump to leave under a deal that looks like it’s not being able to be worked out to begin with? How is that done? But we are not staying a long time.”

April 14 — Saying it is “time to end the forever war,” Biden announces that all troops will be removed from Afghanistan by Sept. 11.

In a speech explaining the decision, Biden says he became convinced after trip to Afghanistan in 2008 that “more and endless American military force could not create or sustain a durable Afghan government.” Biden says the U.S. achieved its initial and primary objective, “to ensure Afghanistan would not be used as a base from which to attack our homeland again” and that “our reasons for remaining in Afghanistan are becoming increasingly unclear.”

Biden says he “inherited a diplomatic agreement” between the U.S. and the Taliban that all U.S. forces would be out by May 1. “It is perhaps not what I would have negotiated myself, but it was an agreement made by the United States government, and that means something,” Biden says, adding that final troop withdrawal would begin on May 1.

“We will not conduct a hasty rush to the exit,” Biden says. “We’ll do it responsibly, deliberately, and safely.” Biden assures Americans that the U.S. has “trained and equipped a standing force of over 300,000 Afghan personnel” and that “they’ll continue to fight valiantly, on behalf of the Afghans, at great cost.”

April 15 — In response to Biden’s decision to delay full withdrawal until Sept. 11, the Taliban releases a statement that says failure to complete the withdrawal by May 1 “opens the way for [the Taliban] to take every necessary countermeasure, hence the American side will be held responsible for all future consequences.”

April 18 — In a released statement, Trump criticizes Biden’s Sept. 11 withdrawal deadline saying, “we can and should get out earlier.” He concludes, “Getting out of Afghanistan is a wonderful and positive thing to do. I planned to withdraw on May 1st, and we should keep as close to that schedule as possible.”

May 18 — The Defense Department IG releases a report for the first three months of 2021 that says the Taliban had increased its attacks against Afghanistan government forces during this period and appears to be preparing with al-Qaeda for “large-scale offensives.”

“The Taliban initiated 37 percent more attacks this quarter than during the same period in 2020,” the report said. “According to the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Taliban maintained close ties with al-Qaeda and was very likely preparing for large-scale offensives against population centers and Afghan government installations.”

May 18 — In a House hearing on U.S. policy in Afghanistan, Zalmay Khalilzad, the U.S. special representative for Afghanistan reconciliation, downplays the prospect of a swift Taliban takeover when U.S. forces leave. “If they [Taliban] pursue, in my judgment, a military victory, it will result in a long war, because Afghan security forces will fight, other Afghans will fight, neighbors will come to support different forces,” Khalilzad says.

Later Khalilzad added, “I personally believe that the statements that the [Afghan] forces will disintegrate, and the Talibs will take over in short order are mistaken. The real choices that the Afghans will face is between a long war and negotiated settlement.”

June 8 — Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid tells Foreign Policy that after foreign forces leave Afghanistan the group’s goal is to create an “Islamic government,” and “we will be compelled to continue our war to achieve our goal.”

June 26 — At a rally in Ohio, his first since leaving office, Trump boasts that Biden can’t stop the process he started to remove troops from Afghanistan, and acknowledges the Afghan government won’t last once U.S. troops leave.

“I started the process,” Trump says. “All the troops are coming back home. They [the Biden administration] couldn’t stop the process. 21 years is enough. Don’t we think? 21 years. They couldn’t stop the process. They wanted to, but it was very tough to stop the process when other things… It’s a shame. 21 years, by a government that wouldn’t last. The only way they last is if we’re there. What are we going to say? We’ll stay for another 21 years, then we’ll stay for another 50. The whole thing is ridiculous. … We’re bringing troops back home from Afghanistan.”

July 6 — The U.S. military confirms it has pulled out of Bagram Airfield, its largest airfield in the Afghanistan, as the final withdrawal nears.

July 8 — Saying “speed is safety,” Biden moves up the timeline for full troop withdrawal to Aug. 31. Biden acknowledges the move comes as the Taliban “is at its strongest militarily since 2001.” Biden says if he went back on the agreement that Trump made, the Taliban “would have again begun to target our forces” and that “staying would have meant U.S. troops taking casualties. … Once that agreement with the Taliban had been made, staying with a bare minimum force was no longer possible.”

Biden assures Americans that a Taliban takeover of Afghanistan “is not inevitable,” and denies that U.S. intelligence assessed that the Afghan government would likely collapse.

Asked if he sees any parallels between the withdrawals from Vietnam Afghanistan, Biden responds, “None whatsoever. Zero. … The Taliban is not the south — the North Vietnamese army. They’re not — they’re not remotely comparable in terms of capability.  There’s going to be no circumstance where you see people being lifted off the roof of a embassy in the — of the United States from Afghanistan.  It is not at all comparable.”

Biden adds that “the likelihood there’s going to be the Taliban overrunning everything and owning the whole country is highly unlikely.”

Biden also promises to help accelerate the issuance of special visas for Afghan nationals who helped the U.S. during the war.

July 24 — At a rally in Phoenix, Trump again boasts, “I started the move out of Afghanistan,” adding “I think it was impossible for him [Biden] to stop it, but it was a much different deal.”

Trump says that when he was president, in a phone conversation with the leader of the Taliban, he warned that after U.S. troops leave if “you decide to do something terrible to our country … we are going to come back and we are going to hit you harder than any country has ever been hit.” Trump says he believes the two “had a real understanding” but that after Trump left office “now they’re going wild over there.”

Aug. 6 — The Taliban takes control of its first province — the capital of Nimroz province in Afghanistan — despite the agreement it signed with the U.S.

Aug. 15 — Taliban fighters enter the Afghanistan capital Kabul; the Afghan president flees the country; U.S. evacuates diplomats from its embassy by helicopter.

Aug. 16 — In a speech to the nation, Biden says, “I do not regret my decision to end America’s warfighting in Afghanistan,” and deflected blame for the government’s swift collapse.

“The truth is: This did unfold more quickly than we had anticipated. So what’s happened? Afghanistan political leaders gave up and fled the country. The Afghan military collapsed, sometimes without trying to fight,” the president said. “If anything, the developments of the past week reinforced that ending U.S. military involvement in Afghanistan now was the right decision.”

Kamala Harris’s campaign has hit out at Donald Trump’s deal with the Taliban in retaliation to the damning Republican report on the Biden administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan.

A day before the first presidential debate, House Republicans have released a scathing report into the US exit from Afghanistan in August 2021, which left behind an estimated 100,000 partners of the US government, while 13 American soldiers and 170 civilians were killed in a suicide bombing in Kabul.

The report solely blames the Biden-Harris administration’s “failure to plan for all contingencies” for the disaster, but Harris’s campaign has been quick to remind voters how Trump “cut a bad deal” with the Taliban in 2020, when the former president was the one who agreed the US would withdraw from Afghanistan by May 2021.

Committee chair Michael McCaul, leading the investigation, accuses the Biden-Harris administration of “fail[ing] to plan for all contingencies, including a noncombatant emergency evacuation” an “refusing” to order an evacuation “until after the Taliban had already entered Kabul.” The administration “misled” and “lied to the American people at every stage of the withdrawal,” the report also claims.

“The evidence proves President Biden’s decision to withdraw all U.S. troops was not based on the security situation, the Doha Agreement, or the advice of his senior national security advisors or our allies,” it says. “Rather, it was premised on his longstanding and unyielding opinion that the United States should no longer be in Afghanistan.”

But Harris’s campaign has hit back. Morgan Finkelstein, the Harris-Walz national security spokesperson, said: “Trump shamelessly attacks the Vice President because he hopes he can trick the country into forgetting that his own actions undermined U.S. strategy and put our troops and allies in harm’s way.”

“Trump wanted to bring the Taliban to Camp David just days before September 11th—think about that,” Finkelstein added. “He cut a bad deal with the very same people who violently took over Afghanistan, leading to the collapse of the Afghan government. Trump’s chaotic actions led to catastrophic consequences in Afghanistan.”

The White House also furiously hit back at the report, adding that Trump’s deal meant President Biden “inherited an untenable position” when he entered office in January 2021. White House spokesperson Sharon Yang said in a statement the report’s author “cherry-picked facts” and maintained ending the war “was the right thing to do and our nation is stronger today as a result”.

Congressman Gregory Meeks, the ranking member of the committee, also slammed the partisan report, accusing Republicans of politicizing the withdrawal and omitting Trump’s role.

“The Republican majority has taken particular pains to avoid facts involving former President Trump— including his committing the United States to a full, date-specific withdrawal in a deal he negotiated with the Taliban that excluded the Afghan government or any reference to the rights of Afghan women and girls,” he wrote in a minority report released the same day.

“President Trump initiated a withdrawal that was irreversible without sending significantly more American troops to Afghanistan to face renewed combat with the Taliban,” Meeks also noted that Harris was only referenced three times in the 3,288 pages of the Committee’s interview transcripts. – Search (bing.com)

McCaul brushed off accusations the report was being used politically. “This is not about politics to me – it never has been,” he said in a statement. “It’s about getting to the bottom of what happened so we can make sure it never happens again. And it’s about finding who was responsible for this catastrophe so they can finally, after three long years, be held accountable.”

The chaotic withdrawal saw unprecedented scenes where hundreds of thousands of Afghans and other citizens tried to flee Taliban rule in a mass panic and scrambled to enter Kabul airport. Videos showed men clinging onto aircraft as they taxied down runways and others trying to climb the big walls of the airport.

Trump has used the Afghanistan withdrawal throughout the presidential campaign as means to attack the vice president, including accusing her of being responsible for the deaths of the American soldiers who died in the suicide bombing. In response, Harris’s camp has accused him of politicizing a visit to Arlington Cemetery last month where he met with the families of the servicemen who died.

The report is the latest in a long-running blame game over the disastrous withdrawal.

A State Department report released last year detailed the failures of both the Trump and Biden administrations. The Afghanistan After Action Review report concluded both administrations were at fault and laid out the shortcomings of a “chaotic and dangerous environment” during the pullout.

“The decisions of both President (Donald) Trump and President (Joe) Biden to end the US military mission in Afghanistan had serious consequences for the viability of the Afghan government and its security,” said the unclassified report.

“Those decisions are beyond the scope of this review, but the AAR (After Action Review) team found that during both administrations there was insufficient senior-level consideration of worst-case scenarios and how quickly those might follow,” it added.

The current period in America certainly feels turbulent, but it’s not the first time the country has faced significant turmoil. One of the most notable periods of upheaval was 1968, which many historians consider one of the most turbulent years in modern U.S. history. This year saw the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy, widespread protests against the Vietnam War, and significant civil rights movements123.

Other periods of significant turmoil include the Great Depression in the 1930s, the Civil Rights Movement in the 1950s and 1960s, and the economic crises of the 1970s and 200845.

While today’s challenges are unique, history shows that the U.S. has faced and navigated through significant turmoil before. How do you feel about the current situation?

Stories of Reagan carrying a weapon at different points in his life have appeared in several books, including Garry Wills’ Reagan’s America: Innocents At Home and Edmund Morris’ Dutch: A Memoir of Ronald Reagan, both published 15 years ago.

Morris wrote that Reagan acquired a gun after college in the 1930s. “It is a fact … that RR did acquire a 1934 Walther PPK .380 pocket-sized police pistol early in his stay in Des Moines and kept it lovingly the rest of his life,” Morris wrote in a footnote in his book published in 2000, which used unusual narrative techniques for a historical work, including a fictional narrator. “He even toted it in his briefcase as President.”

Ronald Kessler’s In The President’s Secret Service, published in 2009, repeats a version of the story. During a campaign trip before becoming president, a Secret Service “agent noticed that [Reagan] was wearing a pistol and asked what that was for,” Kessler writes. “‘Well, just in case you guys can’t do the job, I can help out,’ Reagan replied. Reagan confided to one agent that on his first presidential trip to the Soviet Union in May 1988, he had carried a gun in his briefcase,” according to Kessler. ProvCast Episode 4: Reagan & the Soviet Collapse, 25 Years Later – Providence (providencemag.com)

Would this have Not happened in today’s world?

The Supreme Court has repeatedly reaffirmed the second amendment.

Article V of the United States Constitution outlines the process by which the Constitution can be amended. Here’s the text of Article V: — **Article V** The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate. —

**Key Points from Article V:** – **Proposal of Amendments:** – By **Congress:**

Two-thirds of both the Senate and House of Representatives can propose amendments. – By **Constitutional Convention:** If two-thirds of state legislatures apply, Congress must call a convention for proposing amendments. – **Ratification of Amendments:** – By **State Legislatures:** Three-fourths of the state legislatures must ratify the proposed amendment. – By **State Ratifying Conventions:** Alternatively, three-fourths of states can ratify through conventions if Congress so specifies. – **Limitations:** – Amendments could not affect the slave trade before 1808 (now obsolete). – No state can be deprived of its equal representation in the Senate without its consent. This article ensures that any change to the Constitution requires significant consensus across both federal and state levels, making amendments a serious and considered process.

Perhaps we should make yard signs with her face and the quote about eliminating guns in the first 100 days. There are many gun owners who don’t vote but would definitely vote for Trump on this one single issue. We need to be fully prepared to fight back and ELECT DONALD J. TRUMP

I hope that it doesn’t come to that, but then again we are still paying income tax, which was never ratified by the senate. This has been going on since 1912. They’ve intentionally opened our borders allowing 15 MILLION unvetted people to HarrisWaltz in… (treason).

They’ve weaponized our law enforcement agencies to go after political opponents…(banana republic), do you think they’re worried about some little Article in the constitution?!

Well said but you know 90% of the people don’t read the Constitution and they don’t understand what those words were written 248 years ago and they’re still true today.

They just took power over the people.

That’s why we need to educate the ones who think everything the fake news says is gospel. When we lose the Supreme Court this will happen. I know Dems who support 2A you think criminals and the corrupt give a shi*t about us or laws? We’ll be sheeple to enslave and slaughter. Only if we let them. I think more people have seen the light since 2020.

Is Biden’s plan to reform the supreme court, or bulldoze the constitution?
What do you think? 🤔https://dailymuck.com/the-supreme

Was Kamala On Something During CNN Interview? w/ Matt Taibbi – YouTube

The constitution is just a piece of paper and those in power no longer care about it. The ONLY thing holding them back is how armed the law-abiding civilians are. So they will keep at it. The first ten amendments were voted in en toto. With the Constitution. They are not amenable separately. It breaks the Deal. These Rights are guaranteed in order for the document to be passed.

Without one the other is dead.

They already ripped apart free speech, the 1st amendment of the Constitution, with their bullshit Russian Disinformation, so they can attempt
to control everyone who disagrees with them. Now, they speak of a Mandatory Gun Buyback Program, which is Mandatory Gun Confiscation, ripping apart the 2nd amendment of the Constitution.
Gun confiscation will lead to a Civil War, during a time when a 3rd World War is the closest ever.A Civil War will allow other countries to easily take over other lands, like many communist Countries have been planning to do. No wonder we hear about depopulation from globalists, which the Democrats are happily aligning with. They really want to destroy America and all of its freedoms. Vote Trump to move us back inline with America and the freedoms it has always stood for, just as the Constitution had been written.

This is such an important reminder of how our Constitution protects our rights and ensures thoughtful governance. The amendment process reflects the need for consensus and careful consideration. I hate to break it to you, but just because it is the law it still needs to be enforced! If the Garland DOJ is any indication, IT WILL NOT BE ENFORCED! Many people will die, but they have been preparing for this for many yearsIn my opinion! Communism is their goal, and this will be the final step!!!
I will Believe 🇺🇲 in the US of A to make the right decision 💓🤍💙 and follow the Constitution and the People’s 2A and all other rights given to this land by our Founding Fathers.

The catch word is ” well regulated” any govt can regulate the right of the people to keep and bear arms … As it has become necessary to the security of a free state.”

image.png

How many times has our constitutional rights been infringed?

Look at states like Illinois who without proper due process made many law-abiding citizens felons because they didn’t register their scary “assault weapons”.  If Kamala gets in there won’t be a constitution. You say that as if they ever cared what the constitution says. “If they are able to cheat her, the constitution doesn’t mean anything anymore, they will wipe it out like it never existed.’ 🙁

You think a piece of paper is going to stop people in power?

Step 1: Get Dems elected by any nefarious means. Step 2: Eliminate the filibuster. Step 3: Pack the SC w/enough liberal political hacks to make a majority. Step 4: Pass laws that violate our rights & the constitution.

Suffer when SC ratifies the tyranny & corruption ruling act.

Opinion | Justices’ ‘Disturbing’ Ruling in South Carolina Gerrymandering Case,
The Constitution is considered an obstacle to the Left. If the Communists are elected (or cheat), they will seize power, and the Constitution will be mothballed. She’s talking about voiding the Second Amendment through executive order! Biden has already ignored the Supreme Court twice.

Border and Student Loans. Kamala signed off on both. They will do it.

Wait until you see how those gangsters care for the law and the Constitution.

One huge problem, ALL people who bear arms are members of the state militia so can be called up at any time to serve.

That’s what the 2nd amendment means. Hope the gun holders are called up to serve in the army WITH NO Wages.

Background checks? They didn’t vet the illegals these Democrats opened our borders WIDE for!

Millions and MILLIONS of illegal foreign military aged nationals left to roam our towns and cities.

NO “Background Checks”! The Democrat leadership is the most hypocritical, anti American, imbeciles on the planet.

Start gun control ACTION w/Venezuelan prison gangs who get theirs by robbing gun stores.

And anti-2A inner cities where any 12 yr old gang kid can buy a stolen gun off the street.

Enforce these laws first to perfection. Then you can ponder taking protection away from law obeyers.

The right to bear arms indeed serves as a safeguard against government overreach.

We must win this election!

History shows that disarming citizens often precedes authoritarian rule. Venezuela is a strong example of how this can happen. Defending rights must always be a priority. The second we lose the 2nd Amendment is the second we lose all of our rights.

The 2nd Amendment is the anchor to our rights as Americans ✍️
Isn’t it true @SenatorWarnock that y’all preparing to lose the Senate?

Of course, @CNN would never report that. I really wouldn’t believe all these millions of Venezuelan illegals whose dictator president took their rights and destroyed their country. Wouldn’t have come to the United States to vote for exactly the same what destroyed them.

For those NOT paying attention. List of mass shootings in the United States – Wikipedia

The motives behind mass shootings can vary widely, but some common factors have been identified:

  1. Psychosis: Symptoms of psychosis, such as delusions or hallucinations, are a significant factor in some cases1.
  2. Personal Grievances: Many shooters act out of a sense of personal revenge or retaliation for perceived wrongs2.
  3. Interpersonal Conflicts: Issues such as relationship problems or domestic disputes can also be triggers1.
  4. Social and Economic Pressures: Financial stress, job loss, or other economic hardships can contribute to the decision to commit a mass shooting3.
  5. Ideological Extremism: Some shooters are motivated by extremist beliefs, including racism, xenophobia, or other forms of hate3.
  6. Desire for Notoriety: The desire for fame or recognition can also drive individuals to commit these acts2.

Understanding these motives is crucial for developing strategies to prevent such tragedies. If you have any more questions or need further information, feel free to ask.

Venezuelan illegals are the least eager to work and loudest complainers about not enough benefits.

Except for the Venezuelan gangs that have hit Aurora Colorado, Chicago, and Dallas, who get everything they want.

Kamala is coming for your guns folks.

This woman is a dangerous lefthanded radical.

The people that want to take your guns have no fear of being executed. This is how the elite operate.

Should the globe succumb to the same apocalyptic malaise that transformed San Francisco into a dystopian tableau straight out of “Mad Max,” we might well be penning our own epitaph, sealing humanity’s fate in the annals of cosmic folly. To all those ‘republicans’ who are voting for Kamala.

Name calling is the refuge of folks without an argument.

DC and PR senators will give democrats a likely permanent senate majority. Packing the court is a Democrat dream that goes all the way back to FDR. With those two tools plus the White House and House of Representatives the democrats will pass into law with court support many long term objectives like gun confiscation, abortion without limits, increased social spending…the skies the limit. It will be the Californication Nazification of the USA.

Some Republicans are really Democrats.

No Democrat is ever really a Republican.
I guess by executive order, she just waves the Constitution with a stroke of her pen. That is a Dictatorship. During a session of the German Parliament, Hitler had 200 members arrested after locking the doors and his brownshirts lined the room. 137 were murdered & 69 incarcerated.

You guys are lunatics who will usher in: 4 new democrat senators, a packed Supreme court and then a tsunami of democrat fever dreams will wash over the country. But, hey, you’ll be allowed to have a little power in the fundamentally transformed USA. The old USA and the Constitution will be memories.Trump War Room on X: “NBC: Should Kamala try to pass mandatory gun confiscation, which she has repeatedly said she supports?
