I learned from Karl Mincin (@mincinnutritionist)
Supportive posts on his Instagram Page !!!

The history of the discovery of vitamins is the history of their deficiency disorders.
Their discoverer was Casimir Funk, who is considered the ‘father of vitamin therapy’.
In his experimental research, Funk studied the interrelationships in the human body
of those elements that Eijkman — had demonstrated in animals, particularly in birds.
In his experimental research, Funk identified the NH2 dietetic factors who’s essential to life, therefore, whose lack caused the ‘deficiency disorders’, as he called human beri-beri, scurvy, rickets and pellagra. In 1911, he designated these factors ‘vitamins’ (‘vita’ = life,
and ‘amine’ = a nitrogenous substance essential for life); this name was accepted by the scientific community in 1912.

🙋 Why I personally have chosen to use meat as
a condiment within context of a whole foods plant-based diet…

Both vegans and carnivores can find plenty of evidence
on each side of the scientific fence.

This is why I tend to straddle the middle.

Where are you on the continuum?

Science is ever changing its mind. If we went on the science of yesteryear, we would still believe that industrial oils are healthful, saturated plant fats like coconut oil are toxic and cholesterol causes heart disease, and, and, and…

Fact is, science has been corrupted by industry, and even pure science never tells us
the whole story. The illusion of evidence-based medicine. “Evidence-based medicine
has been corrupted by corporate interests, failed regulation and commercialization
of academia….” British Medical Journal March 2022

Science has never been the exact law.

Science is the pursuit of understanding that which is the law ~ nature.
Good science can be helpful, but even the best science isn’t God. I don’t ignore science,
but neither do I put all my trust in it. If you’re like me, you put greater weight on what our
creator has to say on the subject. Although he started us out on a strictly plant-based diet…

📜 …God said: “Here I have given to you every seed-bearing
plant that is on the entire earth and every tree with seed-bearing fruit.

Let them serve as food for you. ~Genesis 1:28
BTW Lifespan was over 900 years at that time
💫
…At one point however, 1,700 years beyond the garden and after the flood of Noah’s day, he saw fit to introduce animal food into the human diet.

📜 Every moving animal that is alive may serve as food for you. Just as I gave you the green vegetation, I give them all to you. Only flesh with its life—its blood—you must not. ~Genesis 9:3

Who do you trust more, the scientist or the creator of all things?

🔸  RAW vs COOKED is a common question I’m asked by patients.

There are plenty of great reasons to enjoy both!

There are advantages & disadvantages to each raw & cooked food. As with everything in nutrition, the only right answer is the one that’s tailored to our unique individual needs. The following considerations will help you determine what best applies to you personally, and how much of each to eat

🔑Here’s the simple key:

🌈 READ YOUR FOODS COLOR

🌈 PEAK COLOR = PEAK NUTRITION & FLAVOR
Color is the best indicator of nutritional value & phytonutrient density.
Raw is not necessarily better. PROPERLY cooked vegetables are crisp-tender
and at peak color. Optimum cooking time varies from veg to veg.

Don’t get stuck on the number of minutes. Rather READ THE COLOR❗

When the color peaks are when nutrient density peaks

THE BROCCOLI EXAMPLE
Visualize three pieces of broccoli: on your left is raw, in the middle steamed 5 minutes,
the right boiled 30 minutes. Describe the color difference but think carefully before you
answer which one is the brightest color.  It’s not raw but steamed.

I cannot overemphasize PROPERLY cooked vegetables and at peak color❗

ALL THE NITTY GRITTY DETAILS and
PROS & CONS OF THE FULL SPECTRUM OF COOKING!!!

For the most part, when it comes to cooked food, it’s a matter of degree – the amount of cooking. I like to think of it not as a light switch that is either off/raw OR on/cooked dead, but rather a dimmer switch representing the full spectrum of the entire range of cooking. For example, from blanched for 30 seconds or lightly steamed for a few minutes to light-medium/10 min, medium-heavy 20 min and finally well-cooked 30 ~ 60 min or overcooked 60+ min

mincinnutritionist  🤢🥕 “VEGGIES MAKE ME BLOAT”
Please be assured that plants did not CAUSE the problem. When veggies bloat or
are not well tolerated, it’s usually a microbiome imbalance and/or metabolic issue.

This root cause began long before any dietary changes.🔸
Restrictive dieting or limiting an entire food group to reduce symptoms is simply
that – SYMPTOM management which essentially is using food in drug-like fashion.
Low FODMAP, Keto, Elimination, Low Histamine, Gluten-Free, Low-Fiber, etc.
Although such diets may keep symptoms at bay, it will be challenging if not
impossible to build & maintain long-term gut health, overall wellness &
balanced nutrition without adequate dietary diversity.🔸

If you’d like to get to the root of it without restrictions, let’s talk.

mincinnutritionist
💥 THE DIGESTIBILITY DIFFERENCE
Raw foods are more difficult to digest than cooked. As described above, the action of heat on the plant tissue is much like the action of chewing or juicing. Heat breaks down this tough tissue making it not only more digestible but also the nutrients more assimilable. Again, it’s important to distinguish between properly cooked and overcooked. Although overcooked may be slightly easier to digest, the enzyme and nutrient loss ultimately impedes the digestive process. I encourage most all of my patients to include some raw food, and if their gut can tolerate it to strive for about 50% raw and 50% properly cooked/

mincinnutritionist
🌽THE REASON properly cooked produce is superior to raw is that heat
breaks down the fibrous cellulose wall tissues, making the nutrients more assimilable.
Its effect is similar to chewing.

mincinnutritionist
MACROS: PROTEIN ~ heat denatures protein much like a hot curling iron denatures the protein in hair tissue. Take egg for example. The less cooked the egg the more bioavailable the protein. Hard-boiled being the worst, raw the best
.
FATS ~ That holds up fairly well to moderate Heat, under 300 degrees. Above this temperature damaging oxidation of fatty acids occurs. I’ve discussed this in detail regarding Raw vs. Roasted Nuts in the nut and see posts on my profile page
.
STARCH \ CARBS ~ Heat causes starch molecules to swell & burst open after absorbing steam from their own moisture or cooking liquid. This disrupts their cellular structure
and makes them more easily digestible, and remaining nutrients are more bioavailable.
Raw starches don’t present your stomach with that same assistance, making digestion slower and less complete.

Dr Nicholas Gonzalez – Enzymes and Cancer  ❗ 💡

mincinnutritionist   ENZYMES are perhaps the most sensitive to heat.
Again it’s not all or nothing, off or on. As heat is applied to produce,
enzyme loss is gradual and the higher the temp and longer the time,
the greater the loss.

mincinnutritionist   INDESTRUCTIBLE MINERALS
Although minerals stand up extremely well to heat, they can be leached into cooking water. However if that water is consumed, the minerals are still intact and functional.

mincinnutritionist
🥕The IMPACT of HEAT on: VULNERABLE VITAMINS
Water soluble vitamins such as B and C are heat, light and air sensitive.
The longer and higher the heat, the greater the loss.
Fat soluble vitamins (A, D, E & K) are hardier, but have their limit.

mincinnutritionist
🍲 Although most SOUP is technically overcooked, the fact that the cooking medium/stock is consumed, much of the nutrition is retained therein, rather than being tossed out in cooking water. When you do cook vegetables separately, even the steam water should be reserved added to either soups, beverages, smoothies, or at the very least fed to your pets or plants. It’s too good & nutrient-rich to toss!

coombsgreer
I read someone else posting about getting more calcium when cooked and rinsing the spinach to rinse off the nutrient that causes kidney stones. I’m like should I never eat spinach now?

mincinnutritionist
@coombsgreer ▪ sounds like the intention would be to rinse off oxalates. However, heating spinach neutralizes oxalic acid. Rinsing will also remove calcium and other nutrients. Absolutely no need to rinse cooked spinach. Have you seen my post RETHINKING ANTI-NUTRIENTS explaining how oxalates are not the issue, but rather individual terrain?

Throughout my 38 years in clinical nutrition practice I’ve had the opportunity to work with many patients who desperately want to be vegan or vegetarian, sometimes for up to two years doing everything possible to support their health efforts and all the while watching them get sicker and sicker.  Eventually I break the sad news: you need to eat some meat, and watch their health rapidly turn around.
.
I’VE ALSO SEEN SOME SICKLY CARNIVORES, and likewise helped them recover their health by easing them back into the wonderful world of plants. See also my related comment: plants are the center of the food universe…. We need a new approach, an understanding that nutrition can and must be PERSONALIZED.  💫
.
NUTRITION IS NUANCED ~ #functionalfood #functionalnutrition

One size dietary recommendation doesn’t meet everyone’s nutritional needs. One person’s healthy food can be another person’s junk food. Bio individuality, and 38 years of clinical experience, have taught me that two individuals with the very same health condition can have two completely different root causes and require two different treatment protocols. Personalization is key 🔑

• ORGAN MEAT GLANDULAR 🌱 Well beyond micronutrients, organ meat contains distinctive peptides which uniquely nourish corresponding human organs. 🔸As a functional medicine nutritionist, I see no more powerful influence to restore depleted adrenals than with bovine adrenal glandular extract. The same can be said for thyroid gland restoration. We use both glandular and homeopathic preparations of thymus with consistently impressive results for immunity.🔸 although I don’t believe the human organism can be healthy without an abundance of plants, animal food has some unique nutritional properties and a vital force that no amount of plant material can provide. A little — by the ounce or even the gram, not the pound — goes a long way. 🔸

💊🍖 MEAT AS MEDICATION ~ Consider diabetes.
Meat does not CURE the condition, it can mask & manage it similar to medication, without addressing underlying nutrient deficiencies — deficiencies that ironically contribute to, even cause, the disease. In fact, they can exacerbate underlying nutritional deficits and metabolic imbalances that are at the root of the condition.

Additionally, because the symptoms are lessened and the condition superficially improved, they also mask such deeper deficiencies. 💫 TAILORED MICROs GO DEEPER. For example, if a key mineral deficiency such as chromium exists, this has a profound impact on glucose metabolism. Chromium is the mineral building block of the insulin cofactor GTF (glucose tolerance factor), without which insulin cannot deliver sugar into the cell; hence, blood glucose levels remain high & wild insulin runs rampant.

Related micronutrient co-factors also play a role. No amount of macronutrients such as protein or fat will correct such deficiencies.🔸It is true that plenty of protein can provide temporary blood sugar stability; but with this, a false sense of security. It can at the same time be camouflaging or diverting us from identifying the underlying key nutrient deficiencies that no amount of meat will correct. 💡 It is entirely possible to get too much of a good thing. UR? Is UnAbsorb is more true than UR?U8
OPTIMIZING PROTEIN doesn’t just mean eating MORE protein. It also means making the best use of the protein you consume.

Here are two primary ways we accomplish this:

👇
1. PROPER FOOD COMBINING What you eat with what matters. Did you know that a bean + a grain, although providing complete meat like protein, is not well digested. The same bean & grain eaten separately will provide the same complementary amino acid protein profile while being better digested, absorbed and utilized. See recent post fully dedicated to this important topic
.
👇
2. WE ARE WHAT WE DIGEST & ABSORB Enzymatic digestion matters.
Digestive ENZYMES from stomach, liver and pancreas are vital and often lacking. For example stomach acid production notoriously declines from age 40 on. To determine stomach acid sufficiency I instruct my patients in a therapeutic trial at home self test which is as meaningful as a $300 Heidelberg capsule where a radio transmitter is sent down the throat to measure stomach acid

Think about it, 🤔 the best quality protein in the world, if not properly digested & absorbed, not only doesn’t provide protein nourishment, but produces nitrogenous waste by-products becoming a toxic burden in the gut, liver, kidneys & brain. It is entirely possible to get too much of a good thing

I instinctively change things according to where I am, what’s growing there and what season. My mood, what my ancestors taught me.. rather than isolating things too much continuously and not knowing about good combinations.

mincinnutritionist
@laureen_warrington • Instinct has value, and it also has limitations. Self-awareness and tuning in is hugely important, but it does have its limitations. It can also be a tricky, slippery slope. Although our personal perception is invaluable, it is limited and can mislead us. 🔸 Popular notions include:

Trust your gut. Follow your heart and intuition.

If I’m craving it I must need some nutrients that it provides.
I have a little different perspective on intuitive eating and especially on Instinctual eating. Reflecting on growing up in a food-is-love Italian family + 38 years as a functional nutritionist has taught me that my & my patients’ cravings are not always reliable, in fact more often than not they are emotion-based and misleading.

🔸 We need more than a gut feeling, tradition & personal perception, which I’ve thoroughly explored in the post *Does Intuitive Eating Work? *  On my profile page. You might also benefit from the related article *Controlling Cravings: junk food withdrawal* on the Articles page of my website by linking in profile. 💚

I used to be vegetarian and although it was fine at the start I really felt I was missing something. When I added meat back in gradually I felt so much better. I think you can be healthy at either end of the spectrum depending on your genetics and health. But I’d be surprised if many people could be healthy long term strictly vegan as they would get nutritional deficiencies.

jenny.hague.23
How much meat do you recommend? We have been vegan for a year,
but realizing we cannot maintain our health this way any longer.

mincinnutritionist
@jenny.hague.23 • Understood. A little goes a long way. One size meat doesn’t fit all.
My recommendations are personalized, not cookie cutter. You’ll want to ease in gradually
to what you are comfortable with and can properly digest & healthfully metabolize.

Just as functional medicine nutrition is not about the diagnosis,
the test result nor the supplement, neither is it about the plate —
It’s about the PERSON! It’s your diet, but it’s not what you think 💡

Have you ever analyzed the nutrient content of your diet, found it to be adequate and then assumed that you in turn are being well-nourished? Have you ever been told by a dietitian, nutritionist, other health professional or an app that you consume sufficient nutrients, and so you in turn must be nutritionally fit?

This is simply not true!

What you eat is not always what you get

There are 3 requirements for optimal nourishment:
1. Ingestion/Intake (the plate)
2. Digestion/Absorption (from gut to blood)
3. Nutrient Metabolism (distribution from blood to the target tissues)

These are further explained in comments & more so in my previous video posts you’ll find on my profile page
Whatever you do in your world of food & nutrition, please do not assume that because you eat well and take supplements you are well-nourished

image.png

I SEE IT ALL THE TIME – patients deficient in the very nutrients they are consuming plenty of. If we haven’t had a proper nutrition assessment evaluation, we simply don’t know what our body’s nutritional status is

If you don’t have more than one indicator pointing in the same nutrition status direction, then you don’t have a complete nor accurate picture of your overall nutritional adequacy.  If you are not testing,  you are guessing. And if those test results aren’t properly & functionally being interpreted within the context of YOU — the rest of your total health & lifestyle, then you aren’t gleaning their full meaning

4 WAYS to begin evaluating your REAL nutritional status:

1. Pro Diet Review
2. Professional Supplement Evaluation
3. Virtual Nutrition Examination Quick Testing provides instant & accurate feedback. Swipe pics…
4. Comprehensive nutrition assessment workup as described in Phase 1 of the session schedule.
Link in profile to Contact page on my website to request brochure & session schedule

🔸️ YOU ARE WHAT YOU ABSORB is more true than you are what you eat.
Ultimately, you are what you metabolize is most true. Far too many people, even nutritionists, focus on the plate, assuming that if the plate is well nourished the person also is. Most people are familiar with the 2nd requirement for optimal nourishment, proper digestion & absorption. However it’s no guarantee that what we eat and absorb is properly metabolized and distributed to the Target tissue. Most know little to nothing about this 3rd requirement for optimal nourishment, nutrient metabolism.

.
For example, you may consume and absorb adequate calcium. But once in your blood it’s no guarantee that it will properly be delivered to its primary target tissue, the bone. Several variables, including parathyroid hormone and related mineral co-factors, ultimately determine this. If you’ve ever seen a person with knobby knuckles, you’ve seen Miss distribution and accumulation of calcium in the wrong tissue. Not only is the connective tissue of these joints receiving too much, the bones aren’t getting enough.

Beyond eating well we can now open the window into your body’s nutritional status with a personalized nutrition assessment workup.

Why can’t I @emulent_music get my vitamin D levels up no matter how much D3/K2 drops I take (with fats)?

mincinnutritionist
@emulent_music 😠 STUBBORNLY LOW vitamin D ~ We should not need eternal supplementation.
The genetic influence on vitamin D levels is estimated to be around 80%, much higher than the dietary & environmental influences of around 25%.  Genetic tendencies however are not our destiny.

Although  gut, gallbladder, kidney & immune issues may be involved, the bulk of vitamin D metabolism occurs within the liver.  We need to fix the liver!  Interestingly,  80% of us walk around with a sluggish, congested liver.  For starters, see the 4-part LIVER HEALTH series on my page. Let me know if you’d like more personalized support

Also Dr. Michael Greger explains on NutritionFacts.org in several of his short videos, when you eat animal foods (specifically meat), your body produces TMA, but when that TMA is processed by the liver, it is converted to TMAO, a very dangerous chemical. That is why I have adopted a WFPB diet.

I might make tiny exceptions but not many now that I have heard so much of what Dr. Greger is telling us!
Science has been corrupted. It’s a shame. Having followed and worked in the world of dietary analysis some 15 years ago, at one point I believed every book I read even though, in some cases, simple math’s made some of the claims outlandish. You were also right to point out in some way that it’s down to personal experience. 💫

this is just another plan to kill the middle class. #FJB

The government forced renters into a bad situation where they can’t even afford simple rent payments for shit apartments & now rents have skyrocketed during this scamdemic “gouging”! The People Need To Take Control Of Their Lives & County!

The problem here is Republicans won’t do anything. Stop the overflow on the border no. Put rent controls or argue anything against dem policies no. Make it easier for young people to afford homes. The Federal government doesn’t have unlimited authority. It’s powers are limited to the U.S. Constitution. Any power not declared in the Constitution is reserved for the states and the people. Presidential powers are limited to Article II of the U.S. Constitution. Therefore, it is unconstitutional for any Federal agency to issue mandates of any kind. Unless members of the Biden Administration are prosecuted by the states, their criminal activities will continue to worsen because they currently believe they are above the law and untouchable. Mr big shit why don’t you dole out some of the cash you embezzled and got for free from Russia China and Ukraine to the American people to be fair to us all

JUST LIKE ALL THE REST OF THIS BS!!! SIMPLY IGNORE IT,
ABSOLUTELY REFUSE TO COMPLY!!!! PERIOD!

I’ve had about all of the “fairness” and “equity” and “inclusiveness”
from this administration I can stand.

You’ve caused the biggest housing crisis I can remember in quite some time.

Communism/Socialism DOESN’T WORK!

Once again, this is not about fairness or equity, it’s about total gov control of every aspect of your life.

Horseshit and feathers….NEVER FLY…..It’s UNCONSTITUTIONAL…When private property and industry are controlled by the government that’s called…, let me think…, it’s on the tip of my tongue…, ummm.., THIS ASSHOLE DOESNT UNDERSTAND IN THIS COUNTRY WE DON’T WORSHIP GOVT, So he had better tell XI, and his DUMBOCRAT CLOWNS that think we have a DEMOCRACY.

The CDC started the mess by overreaching in the first place. The CDC has no authority over rental properties. It was unconstitutional. The landlords aren’t able to collect rent on their properties. The landlords need a class action lawsuit against the CDC and the Biden Administration. They need to put a stop to the tyranny.

As long as Biden keeps the “Covid Emergency“ the landlords will not be allowed to collect rent or evict their deadbeat tenants. Add in the illegal aliens and refugees that Biden is allowing into the country and it’s only going to get worse for the landlords and the American citizens.

We’re gonna start taking shit away from the government, starting with their MILITARY WEAPONS, if the military can’t use them on civilians, then why can depts/organizations like the DOJ, FBI, ATF, etc…. OR WE WILL TAKE BACK OUR RIGHT TO MILITARY WEAPONS…. NOWHERE IN THE CONSTITUTION DOES IT SAY CIVILIANS CAN’T HAVE MILITARY WEAPONS, Just think If civilians did not have them during our revolutionary war, WE WOULD HAVE LOST….AND ENGLAND WOULD
HAVE TAKEN OUR GUNS

We can, we must, and we will push back.

What is the Doomsday Clock, which now sits at 90 seconds to midnight? (msn.com)
If President Trump was still there in DC., Russia would have been our best ally ever
and has been before twice!

There once was an Orangeman who said we should make deals
with nuclear nations instead of escalating wars with them.

But the regime hated the color of his skin and so they sent him away. Some say, one day,
El Naranja ( oRANGEmAN ) will return to prevent the 3rd World War El Naranja will not only save us from WW3, but he will also fulfill G-d’s intent for all of us to Repair the World, Tikun Olam. ‘

Splain it ~ Did you read: Tikkun Olam Stories of Repairing an Unkind World?

Word has it that El Cid and El Naranja are related.
El Cid found work fighting for the Muslim rulers of Zaragoza, whom he defended from
its traditional enemy, Aragon. While in exile, he regained his reputation as a strategist
and formidable military leader.

He was repeatedly victorious in battle against the Muslim rulers of Lérida and their Christian allies, as well as against a large Christian army under King Sancho Ramírez
of Aragon.

In 1086, an expeditionary army of North African Almoravids inflicted a severe defeat
to Castile, compelling Alfonso to overcome the resentment he harboured against El Cid.
The terms for El Cid’s return to Christian service must have been attractive enough since El Cid soon found himself fighting for his former lord.

Over the next several years, however, El Cid set his sights on the kingdom-city of Valencia, operating more or less independently of Alfonso, while politically supporting the Banu Hud and other Muslim dynasties opposed to the Almoravids. He gradually increased his control over Valencia; the Islamic ruler, Yahya al-Qadir, became his tributary in 1092.

When the Almoravids instigated an uprising that resulted in the death of Al-Cádir,
El Cid responded by laying siege to the city. Valencia finally fell in 1094, and El Cid
established an independent principality on the Mediterranean coast of Iberia.
He ruled over a pluralistic society with the popular support of Christians and
Muslims alike.[7]

El Cid’s final years were spent fighting the Almoravid Berbers. He inflicted upon them their first major defeat in 1094, on the plains of Caurte, outside Valencia, and continued opposing them until his death. Although El Cid remained undefeated in Valencia, Diego Rodríguez, his only son and heir, died fighting against the Almoravids in the service of Alfonso in 1097. After El Cid’s death in 1099, his wife, Jimena Díaz, succeeded him as ruler of Valencia, but she was eventually forced to surrender the principality to the Almoravids in 1102.[8]

“Val” Valiant Thor is a delegate of the “High Council” who had VIP status at the Pentagon from 1957 to 1960 to discuss concerns of the Cold War & leading up
to the Cuban Missile Crisis. The book Stranger at the Pentagon by Frank Stranges,
in support of Harley Andrew Byrd, gives a UFO account of Thor being a Venusian.

In mid March of 1957 in Alexandria, Virginia, a policeman witnessed a UFO landing
in a field. A tall white man emerged from the craft and approached the officer, calmly identifying himself as Valiant Thor, sent by “The High Council”. He requested that he might speak with President Eisenhower.[1]

The policeman took Thor to the Pentagon where he eventually spoke with Eisenhower,
the Secretary of Defense, and other joint chiefs. According to Frank Stranges, Thor was
given a three-year VIP status at the Pentagon, where he conducted numerous meetings
with persons of high influence in the United States government.

His objective was to voice concerns of the “High Council” over the way humanity
was evolving – in particular its apparent lust for nuclear weaponry.[1]

According to Frank E. Stranges, Eisenhower asks Thor where he is from,
to which Thor gives a rather cryptic response: “the morning and the evening star”.
Below is the is the alleged exchange in dialogue, given by Strangers:[2][3]

Eisenhower: “Please, sir, what is your name? And where do you come from?”
Thor: “I come from the planet your Bible calls the morning and the evening star.”
Eisenhower: “Venus?”
Thor: “Yes, sir.”
Eisenhower: “Can you prove this?”
Thor: “What do you constitute as proof?”
Eisenhower: “I don’t know.”

According to Thor, Venusians live inside Venus.
Externally Val appears human, albeit with six fingers and six toes.
Internally, his heart is larger and he only has one, much larger lung.

Covid Death Rates

Africa Didn’t Follow WHO’s Pandemic Script. Guess What Happened?
Children’s Health Defense • By Dr. Joseph Mercola

Africa, where less than 6% of the population is vaccinated against COVID-19, has fared far better than countries with high injection rates. Still, the World Health Organization continues to warn that developing nations are at grave risk due to low jab rates.

Story at a glance:
There are clear contradictions between the World Health Organization’s (WHO) directives regarding the need for COVID-19 shots in Africa and the actual situation on the ground.
The WHO is still calling on all countries to get the COVID-19 jab into at least 70% of their populations and warns that developing countries are at grave risk due to low jab rates. Meanwhile, Africa, where less than 6% of the population is jabbed, has fared far better than countries with high injection rates.

A large-scale survey in Uganda also shows COVID-19 is no longer a clinical issue.
Variants have also gotten milder (less pathogenic) with each iteration, yet the WHO
warns that new variants may create “large waves of serious disease and death in
populations with low vaccination coverage.”

The explanation for the disconnect between the WHO’s priorities and what’s happening in Africa can be explained when you look at the focus of the WHO’s Catastrophic Contagion exercise. It focused on getting African leadership trained in following the pandemic script. The WHO needs additional pandemics in order to justify its pandemic treaty, which will give it sole power to dictate countermeasures, and it needs to eliminate the African control group, which shows the COVID-19 “vaccines” do more harm than good.
The WHO also has every intention of implementing climate lockdowns once it has the power to do so. To that aim, the WHO’s director of Environment and Health has suggested combining health and climate issues into one.
In the video below, John Campbell, Ph.D., a retired nurse educator, compares the contradictions between the World Health Organization’s directives regarding the
need for COVID-19 shots in Africa and the actual situation on the ground.

No apparent covid in Africa – YouTube

As of Dec. 12, 2022, the WHO was still calling on all countries to get the COVID-19 jab
into at least 70% of their populations.  Its original deadline for meeting this 70% threshold
was mid-2022, but by June 2022, only 58 of 194 member states had reached this target.
According to the WHO, jab supplies, technical support and financial support were lacking during the early days of the injection campaign but, now, those obstacles have been resolved. As a result, all countries now have the ability to meet the global target of 70%.

Low jab rates threaten low-income countries, WHO claims.

The “overarching challenge” right now is the administration of the shots, actually “
getting shots into arms.”
To address that, the WHO suggests integrating COVID-19 injection services “with other immunization services and alongside other health and social interventions.” This, they say, will maximize impact and “build long-term capacity.”  The WHO also stresses that “As people’s risk perception of the virus wanes, careful risk communication and community engagement plans need to be adapted to enhance demand for vaccination.”
To ensure low-income countries get onboard to meet the 70% target, the WHO also launched The COVID-19 Vaccine Delivery Partnership in January 2022.  This is an international effort “to intensify country readiness and delivery support” in 34 countries with low COVID-19 jab uptake. Partners include UNICEF, Gavi and the World Bank.

image.png
According to the WHO:

“Despite incremental success since its launch in January 2022, low and lower-middle income countries are facing difficulties to get a step change in vaccination rates.
“This represents a serious threat to the fragile economic recovery, including
due to the risk of new variants creating large waves of serious disease and
death in populations with low vaccination coverage.
“It also means accelerating the delivery of other COVID-19 tools and treatments is a crucial priority to help the world build up multiple layers of protection against the virus.
“Concerted and urgent action from countries, international partners and agencies, along with G20 Finance Ministers is required to increase vaccination levels and expedite access.”
In short, the WHO is really concerned that countries with low COVID-19 jab rates will suffer lest they meet or exceed the target goal of jabbing 70% of their populations.
But what is that concern based on? Certainly not the real world.

WHO’s statements contradict real-world situations
The statements made by the WHO contradict a number of real-world situations.
For starters, while developed nations with high jab rates struggled with COVID-19
throughout much of 2021 and 2022, Africa avoided this fate, despite its single-digit
jab rate.

Scientists are said to be “mystified” as to how Africa fared so well, completely ignoring data showing that the more COVID-19 shots you get, the higher your risk of contracting COVID-19 and ending up in the hospital.
Over the past year, researchers have been warning that the COVID-19 jabs appear to be dysregulating and actually destroying people’s immune systems, leaving them vulnerable not only to COVID-19 but also other infections.
It stands to reason, then, that Africa with its low injection rate would not be burdened
with COVID-19 cases brought on by dysfunctional immune systems.
Secondly, variants have gotten milder (less pathogenic) with each iteration,
albeit more infectious (i.e., they spread easier).
So why is the WHO worried about “the risk of new variants creating large waves
of serious disease and death in populations with low vaccination coverage”?

What is that “risk” based on?
And, since COVID-19 infection keeps getting milder, and has had a lethality on par with or lower than influenza ever since mid-2020 at the latest, why is it still a “crucial priority” to accelerate delivery of COVID-19 treatments?
As a reminder, according to a Sept. 2, 2020, study in Annals of Internal Medicine,
the overall noninstitutionalized infection fatality ratio for COVID-19 was a mere 0.26%.
Below 40 years of age, the infection fatality ratio was just 0.01%.
Meanwhile, the estimated infection fatality rate for seasonal influenza is 0.8%.

Report from Uganda
Campbell goes on to cite a large-scale survey by a community health partner in Uganda, which surveyed doctors, nurses and medical officers across the country and “basically, they don’t see any COVID-19 anymore,” he says.
They’re not getting the jab and they’re not getting tested for COVID-19 either. There’s no need because no one is getting sick with COVID-19 — at least not to the point they need medical attention.
The Ugandan government has even stopped publishing COVID-19 guidelines. From their perspective, the pandemic is over. The same sentiment appears common in other African countries as well.
Given the situation on the ground, is it really a pressing need to jab 30 million people in Uganda against a disease they’re not getting sick from?
What Uganda does need is malaria treatments, mosquito nets, clean drinking water and antibiotics. “That is what the priorities on the ground seem to be,” Campbell says.
So, what’s with the apparent disconnect between the WHO’s priorities and what’s actually happening in areas with low COVID-19 jab rates?

The WHO’s Catastrophic Contagion exercise clues us in.

The disconnect reveals the WHO’s true intentions.
Oct. 23, 2022, the WHO, Bill Gates and Johns Hopkins cohosted a global challenge exercise dubbed “Catastrophic Contagion,” involving the outbreak of a novel pathogen called “severe epidemic enterovirus respiratory syndrome 2025” (SEERS-25). Tellingly, this tabletop exercise was focused on getting African leadership involved and trained in following the pandemic script.
Participants included 10 current and former health ministers and senior public health officials from Senegal, Rwanda, Nigeria, Angola and Liberia. (Representatives from Singapore, India and Germany, as well as Gates himself, were also in attendance.)
African nations just so happened to go “off script” more often than others during the COVID-19 pandemic and didn’t follow in the footsteps of developed nations when it came to pushing the jabs.
As a result, vaccine makers now face the problem of having a huge control group, as the COVID-19 jab uptake on the African continent was only 6%.   They cannot reasonably explain how or why Africa ended up faring so better than developed nations with high COVID-19 jab rates in terms of COVID-19 infections and related deaths.
“The WHO’s pandemic treaty is the gateway to a global, top-down totalitarian regime. But to secure that power, they will need more pandemics.”  The WHO desperately needs to get rid of this control group, so they’re enlisting and training African leaders how to push for widespread vaccination using the WHO’s talking points. This, I believe, is the only reason the WHO is still speaking about COVID-19 in catastrophic terms.

The WHO needs additional pandemics to secure its power grab
At this point, it’s quite clear that “biosecurity” is the chosen means by which the globalist cabal intends to usher in its one-world government. The WHO is working on securing sole power over pandemic response globally through its international pandemic treaty which, if implemented, will eradicate the sovereignty of member nations.
The WHO’s pandemic treaty is basically the gateway to a global, top-down totalitarian regime. But to secure that power, they will need more pandemics.   COVID-19 alone was not enough to get everyone on board with a centralized pandemic response unit, and they probably knew that from the start.
So, the reason we can be sure there will be additional pandemics, whether manufactured using fear and hype alone or an actual bioweapon created for this very purpose, is because the takeover plan, aka The Great Reset, is based on the premise that we need global biosecurity surveillance and a centralized response.

Biosecurity, in turn, is the justification for an international vaccine passport, which the G20 just signed on to, and that passport will also be your digital identification. That digital ID, then, will be tied to your social credit score, personal carbon footprint tracker, medical records, educational records, work records, social media presence, purchase records, your bank accounts and a programmable central bank digital currency.
Once all these pieces are fully connected, you’ll be in a digital prison, and the ruling cabal — whether officially a one-world government by then or not — will have total control over your life from cradle to grave. The WHO’s pandemic treaty is what sets this chain of events off, as it will have the power to implement vaccine passports globally once the treaty is signed.
The WHO will also have the power to mandate vaccines, standardize medical care and issue travel restrictions. This treaty will likely pass this year, which means the WHO will either need to ramp up the COVID-19 narrative again or switch to another pandemic in order to justify these kinds of actions.

image.png
The pandemic treaty Is the death knell to freedom worldwide

It’s important to realize that the WHO’s pandemic treaty will radically alter the global power structure and strip you of some of your most basic rights and freedoms. It’s a direct attack on the sovereignty of its member states, as well as a direct attack on your bodily autonomy.
Once signed, all member nations will be subject to the WHO’s dictates. If the WHO says every person on the planet needs to have a vaccine passport and digital identity to ensure vaccination compliance, then that’s what every country will be forced to implement, even if the people have rejected such plans using local democratic processes.
There’s also reason to suspect the WHO intends to extend its sovereign leadership into the healthcare systems of every nation, eventually implementing a universal or “socialist-like” healthcare system as part of The Great Reset. WHO Director-General Tedros has previously stated that his “central priority” as director-general of the WHO is to push the world toward universal health coverage.
Prediction: climate lockdowns are next

Considering the WHO changed its definition of “pandemic” to “a worldwide epidemic of a disease,” without the original specificity of severe illness that causes high morbidity, just about anything could be made to fit the pandemic criterion. This means that once they’re in power, they won’t need to rely exclusively on pathogenic threats.
They could also declare a global pandemic for a noninfectious threat, like global warming, for example. Such a declaration would then allow the WHO to circumvent laws that are in place to preserve our freedom and allow for the implementation of tyrannical measures such as lockdowns and travel restrictions. Indeed, the notion of “climate lockdowns” has already been publicly flouted on multiple occasions.

As reported by The Pulse:
“Climate lockdowns and other restrictions will be framed as saving the people of the world from themselves. Who would ever disagree with such measures when it is framed under the guise of goodwill?
“Like we saw with COVID mandates, if climate mandates ever take place they will be promoted as an extremely noble and necessary action. Those who disagree and present evidence that such actions are not useful or impactful, and instead cause more harm, will most likely be silenced, censored and ridiculed …
“What would a climate lockdown look like? Well, if such an initiative were to take place, governments would limit or ban the consumption of many foods. They would ban or limit private vehicle use or limit the distance one can travel in a gas-powered car or perhaps even by plane.
“Working from home could eventually become the permanent norm if special carbon taxes are put in place. Such taxes could be imposed on companies, limiting driving or air miles and extending to individual employees … “Schools, especially those heavily influenced by teachers’ unions, could impose permanent online-only days.”

Officials around the world have suggested climate lockdowns
As noted by The Pulse, a number of officials around the world have voiced support for climate lockdowns, completely ignoring the devastating effects the COVID-19 lockdowns have already had. This just goes to show lockdowns were never about public health and never will be.
Among the climate lockdown enthusiasts, we have Germany’s health minister
Karl Lauterbach, who in December 2020 proclaimed that addressing climate change would require restrictions on personal freedom, similar to those implemented to “flatten the curve” of COVID-19.

British economics professor Mariana Mazzucato is another advocate for climate lockdowns, who in September 2020 warned that “In the near future, the world may need to resort to lockdowns again — this time to tackle a climate emergency.”
We also have the statements of Bill Gates and the Red Cross, both of which in 2020 claimed that climate change poses a greater threat to mankind than COVID-19 and must be confronted with the same urgency and resolve.
The World Economic Forum (WEF), the United Nations and the WHO have also published articles stating their intent to “fight climate change” by shutting down society.
Notably, in “How to Fight the Next Threat to Our World: Air Pollution,” published by the WEF and co-written by the director of WHO’s Environment and Health Department, it’s suggested that health and climate issues be combined into one.

As noted in that article:
“We can confront these crises more effectively and fairly if we address them as one —
and foster support across all sectors of the economy … “COVID-19 has proven humanity’s inbuilt ability to rise up and act to protect the health of our most vulnerable people.

We need to do the same with air pollution.”
Recall, as I mentioned above, if the WHO has sole power over global health, combining health and climate issues will automatically give the WHO the de facto power to issue climate lockdowns.
Some claim climate lockdowns have already begun, with the random shutting off of people’s power even though there’s no actual outage — sort of slow-walking people into accepting that the lights won’t always turn on.
That the WHO will jump at the opportunity to implement climate lockdowns can also be seen in the WHO Manifesto for a Healthy Recovery From COVID-19, which states:

“The ‘lockdown’ measures that have been necessary to control the spread of COVID-19 have slowed economic activity and disrupted lives — but have also given some glimpses of a possible brighter future.
“In some places, pollution levels have dropped to such an extent that people have breathed clean air, or have seen blue skies and clear waters, or have been able to walk and cycle safely with their children — for the first times in their lives.
“The use of digital technology has accelerated new ways of working and connecting with each other, from reducing time spent commuting, to more flexible ways of studying, to carrying out medical consultations remotely, to spending more time with our families.

“Opinion polls from around the world show that people want to protect the environment, and preserve the positives that have emerged from the crisis, as we recover …
“Decisions made in the coming months can either “lock in” economic development patterns that will do permanent and escalating damage to the ecological systems that sustain all human health and livelihoods, or, if wisely taken, can promote a healthier, fairer and greener world.”
This manifesto also lays out many other aspects of The Great Reset agenda, including smart cities, travel restrictions, new food systems, a complete transition to green energy and more. But again, the thing that will really facilitate all of these changes is to have a centralized power base, and that is the WHO.

What can you do?

Stopping the WHO pandemic treaty will be difficult, as the World Health Assembly may or may not even accept public comment before making a decision. Your best bet right now is to sign up for the World Council for Health’s (WCH) newsletter.
The last time the World Health Assembly met to discuss the treaty, the WCH issued links and instructions on how to submit your comment. You can subscribe at the bottom of this page, or on the WCHs home page.
I and the Children’s Health Defense will also share details if they become available, so subscribing to our newsletters can give you a heads-up as well. In the absence of instructions, you could reach out to your respective delegation and request that they oppose the treaty.

The universe mirrors who you are. If your subconscious is running on old programming from your past that keeps you constantly seeing the negative, problems, complaining, doubting, being afraid, being angry, feeling guilty or ashamed, that is what your reality
will reflect back at you.
The universe doesn’t play favorites, it’s not preferential, it’s unconditional.
The thing is, you can choose to start changing your programming any time you’d
like by being intentional and learning how. You can learn to start seeing the positive, opportunities, solutions, being grateful, being silly, happy, joyful, fun, abundant, prosperous, peaceful and free, then that can become your reality as well.
The Laws of the Universe will always reflect your state of being, the way you feel and
what you think on a daily basis. You’re not cursed if your life is filled with negativity and problems. You just haven’t learned to set up your mind to help you instead of hurt you.
It’s not your fault. It’s nobody’s fault. Raise your vibration to something more positive, heal your heart, find the love and joy of life again. You deserve it.

Fractal Patterns in the Torah | Alexander I. Poltorak | The Blogs (timesofisrael.com)
Some events described by reading the code took place after the code was written.
The code is revealed by a method found with special computer software.

Searching for patterns is how we make sense of the world. We look for meaning
in the often-overwhelming chaos by making connections between symbols and events. Sometimes these are meaningful discoveries, resulting in good science and breakthrough insights. Other times, these patterns may lead nowhere but still help us focus energies on what’s important.

One intriguing source of patterns that has emerged
thanks to our development of computers is the Bible.

Among humanity’s oldest and arguably most influential pieces of writing, the Bible has been studied and analyzed phrase by phrase by countless scholars and devotees. But what computers have allowed us to do, thanks to the work of Israeli mathematicians, is to see that the ancient text may be not only an intricately-weaved collection of spiritual stories and teachings but a code that speaks to the inner workings of history.

“The Bible Code,” a 1997 book by the reporter Michael Drosnin popularized the idea.
His book claimed to use the earliest parts of the Bible to predict the assassination of the Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, the Gulf war, and comet collisions.
It also seemed to have information about the Holocaust, various other assassinations like those of JFK and his brother Robert. It similarly suggested a nuclear war was looming – a theme the author explored in subsequent books of the “Bible Code” series.

The inspiration for Drosnin’s book came from the 1994 paper “Equidistant Letter Sequences in the Book of Genesis,” published in the journal Statistical Science by mathematicians Doron Witztum, Eliyahu Rips and Yoav Rosenberg. They presented statistical evidence that information about the lives of famous rabbis was encoded in the Hebrew text of the Book of Genesis, hundreds of years before those rabbis lived.
Dr. Eliyahu Rips is one of the world’s leading experts on group theory and is the scientist who got most closely associated with the “Bible Code ” hypothesis, even though the software used to implement the word search was designed by both Rips and Witztum.

Bible Code/Michael Drosnin

Rips later distanced himself from Drosnin’s book.

In a 1997 statement on the matter, he pointed out that he didn’t make or support some of the specific predictions Drosnin claimed. Nonetheless, Rips wrote quite clearly that “the only conclusion that can be drawn from the scientific research regarding the Torah codes is that they exist and that they are not a mere coincidence.” The method used by the scientists to arrive at their conclusions is the Equidistant Letter Sequence (ELS). To get a word with some meaning, this method calls you to pick a starting point in a text and a skip number.
And then, start selecting letters while skipping the same number of spaces every time (pretty much in any direction). If you’re lucky, a sensible word will be spelled out.
This method works well if letters are arranged in an array, like this one The Bible Code made a recent re-appearance in the public consciousness thanks to the work of author
and fourth-generation antiques expert Timothy Smith. His 2017 book “The Chamberlain Key” describes how following 25 years of research, he unlocked a “God code” in the Bible.

He calls his book “the Da Vinci Code on steroids, but it’s true.”
Smith’s decoding work is based on his own ancient copy of the Bible titled “The Leningrad Codex” – it’s the oldest complete manuscript of the Hebrew Old Testament. Smith used a computer-driven application of the ELS method, as well as code-breaking techniques and his intimate knowledge of ancient and aboriginal ceremonial devices like scepters, crowns and thrones to arrive at his reading of the Bible.

Smith is a devout Christian and his conclusions revolve around Christian motifs.
In particular, he claims to have found detailed information about Jesus’s birth,
crucifixion and resurrection within a passage in Genesis.

The book has received a special on the History channel and a documentary
series is being made about the travels leading to Smith’s discoveries.

David McKillop, the executive producer for Jupiter Entertainment, which is creating the TV series, said that “Tim’s quest is the ultimate treasure hunt for one of history’s greatest mysteries, and his map is an ancient text that could possibly be talking to us.”

If you think there can’t possibly be any pattern in the Bible and other long texts may produce similar results – there are studies for you too.  While the Bible or “Torah Codes” can be criticized, there is scholarly evidence that ancient writers of the Bible, like Matthew, “consciously used numerical patterns or codes in their compositions,” as writes Dr. Randall Buth, the director of the Biblical Language Center and a lecturer at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Another factor we should keep in mind is that our understanding of how time and history work very much depends on our frame of reference. If time flows differently, for example as proposed by the Block Universe Theory, all bets would be off, and a book could theoretically contain the code of history both of the past and the future.
The Australian computer scientist Brendan McKay famously came up
with a table of assassination predictions in “Moby Dick”.

God Code – Teaser Video – HISTORY    www.youtube.com

Now for the first time in history a man of faith and a man of science are teaming up to search for Jesus’ DNA. Using the latest advances in DNA technology Oxford University geneticist George Busby and biblical scholar Pastor Joe Basile are investigating the world’s most famous holy relics including the Shroud of Turin, The Sudarium of Oviedo and the newly discovered bones of Jesus’ cousin, John the Baptist. Their journey takes them to holy sites around the world from Spain and Italy to Israel and the shores of the Black Sea. By extracting and analyzing samples of each of these holy relics they hope to retrieve a sample of DNA that possibly belongs to Jesus or a member of his family. They believe that if they can find a strand of Jesus’ DNA it could help identify who among us today are descendants of Jesus and provide us with new insight into the man many consider to be the most important person in history, Jesus.
I would not believe this generally. If there were some supernatural strands of DNA, it would have been known of or discovered long ago.
Well, maybe it was. Jesus Christ is associated with the Priesthood of Melchizedek, who was a King of Salem (before Jerusalem), an ancient spaceport with remains of a landing platform now existing as the base of the Temple Mount. Melchizedek was a king at the time of Abraham.
Was Melchizedek, like Abram an ancient Sumerian, member of the first civilization here on Earth? Abram was a refugee from the devastated Sumerian culture, destroyed by nuclear blast and fallout of the devastated Sodom and Gomorrah! The name Melchizedek means: “My King.” The story of Melchizedek is such that he had no ordinary origin, as a human, with no traceable parents or ancestry.

The Bible states that Jesus Christ is of this royal line which lasts FOREVER.
Is there an association between the Priesthood of Melchizedek and the myth of the exploded planet known as: “Maldek/Phaeton”? The asteroid belt now lies where the mythical Phaeton/Maldek is thought to have orbited the Sun.
The civilization of the planet created a highly advanced culture but had destroyed themselves through the selfish and arrogant use of nuclear weapons.
They blew their own planet to smithereens. Nuclear physicist John Brandenburg PhD. states that his theory of isotopes distinctive of nuclear weapons as detected on Mars, proves that a similar fate occurred to the inhabitants of that planet!
If there is a line with Jesus Christ, it is as the Bible states, through the Priesthood of Melchizedek, and the off planet associations that seem too far out for many to comprehend or accept.

Take for example the word: CAIRO.
The Druze angle was very strange. They didn’t even come into existence until 1017, as a spin off of Shia Islam. They “evolved” from there into the Unitarians they are today.
I appreciate the fact they interviewed Druze from down the road from Nazareth. Their conclave, Isfiya, is actually built on a 5th Century Jewish town named Husifah. Basically they took maternal mtDNA from the shroud and it showed a Druze signature (so Mary’s family descendants are likely in the Druze population). His blood type was AB. I wondered why they did not run a yDNA for paternal…Behind locked doors in St. Petersburg, Russia is the Leningrad Codex, the world’s oldest complete text of the Hebrew Bible.
The takeaway from this show should be that the DNA from the shroud confirms that the blood is from a person of ancient Jewish descent, or from the land of ancient Israel and Judah, which we, as Christians knew anyway. Thanks for Jesus’ address, but we Christians have already been corresponding for some time LOL.

Scientists claim the Bible is written in code that predicts future events – Big Think
I really take offense when Nat Geo and company spin things. The only purpose of singling out the Druze is to attempt to convince people that Jesus believed that all religions lead to Heaven. By supposing to lump him in with this group, that didn’t even exist when he did, they wanted to show him as a unitarian. The Bible clearly tells us that is not the case.

Many of the religious ideas they have didn’t even come into
existence until well after the death and resurrection of Jesus.

Jesus wouldn’t have known them to be any different than any other native of the region.
This is the name of the capital of Egypt and name Al-Qahirah which literally means: “place or camp or Mars”. Does this imply the planet Mars because of celestial alignments or something more involved? I would bet that there is an off planet connection with the name Cairo, which goes beyond astrology or astronomy.
Behind locked doors in St. Petersburg, Russia is the Leningrad Codex, the world’s oldest complete text of the Hebrew Bible. Because of its ancient origins, it is a purer version of the Bible–containing words and characters lost in later translations. Timothy Smith, an antiquities expert, believes he’s found an intricate code hidden within its text, one that may not show up in later translations. This two-hour special takes viewers on a journey across the globe to find out if the hidden code is real. If it is, could this be the actual word of God? A code written into his own divine work. A master plan for history? The code is said to point to a diverse variety of historical events from the rise of Hitler to the threat of North Korea and it may even point to the location of one of the greatest treasures of all, the lost Arc of the Covenant.

Civilization is careening into a dystopian transhumanist rewrite of global society and the future of humanity, penned by a tyrannical New World Order: the Great Reset. With the onset of Covid-19 and all that has played out since early 2020, Big Pharma and High Tech have seized our lives in the most evil of ways. They do not intend to let go, until their nightmare agenda to merge human beings with Artificial Intelligence-Human 2.0-has revolutionized everything about our lives, enslaved us and possessed our world.

It isn’t a “theory” anymore – it’s a global conspiracy.

How do they achieve this malevolent goal?
First, they must hack the God Code to remove the light within us: the Divine Blueprint. Then, they can splice into our DNA any code, messenger or numerical mark they deem superior to our natural, God given essence, and steal our souls.
Take a deep dive into the unfolding reality surrounding Covid-19, the “vaccine” mandates, and all that they have done to mutate our lives, destroy our health, and undermine our social order. Patricia Cori – Author | Guide | Visionary pulls out all the stops in this probing, eye-opening book, exposing the darkness and, then, as she always does, offering solutions: to heal and activate the DNA, to find the empowerment to fight back, and to manifest a clear direction for all light warriors to stand in the light of their sovereignty.

This is Armageddon-the war of darkness and light.
And we will win it. Because we must.

In The Chamberlain Key, antiquities expert Timothy P. Smith reveals his decades-long quest to understand the complex messages he discovered in an ancient Hebrew manuscript of the Bible. This painstaking search involves adventure and mystery, but instead of consulting ancient maps to find buried treasure, Smith relied on the data calculation power of modern technology. His quest shows how Scripture is more amazing than we ever dreamed—and that it may even reveal the future of generations living today.

The Chamberlain Key
 reveals:
• An encrypted code in Genesis, in the oldest known Hebrew text of the Old Testament, that predicted the birth and resurrection of Jesus.
• Scientific evidence that this encrypted code was authored by the divine hand of God.
• Signs that there are more encrypted codes in this same Hebrew text that will lead to additional messages from God to humanity.
• Hidden clues that may lead to the location of long-missing sacred artifacts,
such as the Ark of the Covenant.
• Insights on why Smith was chosen to uncover this encrypted code.
• A dire warning that God wants us to hear—and heed.

In the companion History Channel series, the author travels across continents in search
of artifacts missing since Bible times—clues to their location revealed in The Chamberlain Key. The Chamberlain Key: Unlocking the God Code to Reveal Divine Messages Hidden

Greatest of All Time

Mikaela Shiffrin tells CNN what its like to race toward skiing immortality

Mikaela Shiffrin, the greatest woman alpine skier of all-time, secured her 84th World Cup win and is now just two victories shy of tying the overall record holder Ingemar Stenmark from Sweden. Shiffrin and CNN’s Amanda Davies caught up after Shiffrin’s record-extending victory on Wednesday.

With her 83rd win, she broke Lindsey Vonn’s record for most women’s World Cup titles.
It takes something special to win races. It takes something else entirely to break records.

In December 2012 a 17-year-old Mikaela Shiffrin took her first World Cup win. 👏
Today she secured number 83, and a place in the history books with the greatest number of World Cup gold medals won by any female. Ever. What if you could actually go back in time, and tell yourself what will happen in your own future? Would you choose to know?

Or would you choose to be surprised… to find out along the way? 👏❤️⛷️

83 wins is unbelievable 👍💯💪❤️👸

The most successful FEMALE skier in history* Stenmark still has more wins.
Unreal! One more record to break then it’s all over. Absolutely stunning dominance…greatest of all time, every discipline. Just stunning. But it’s only a matter of time before
she will break the Stenmark record and to become the ultimate GOAT of alpine skiing.

Congrats Mikaela!👏🔥❤️😍

Shiffrin said her admiration for Stenmark wouldn’t change even if she pass his record. “His name is in history as a legend of the sport that people will remember forever,” she told reporters after her victory on Tuesday. “Maybe they’ll remember him longer than they’ll remember me. We’re all still talking about him. That’s a pretty incredible mark
to leave on the sport.”

Yesterday is history and Tomorrow is a mystery.
But today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present.

I’m not sure who said that first, I know it from Kung Fu Panda😂 I think.
I like mysteries. Even though it feels like I might pass out from the uncertainty sometimes. History… is just a step along the way, for all of us. That thought gives me hope, for the first time since Feb 2, 2020, that I might have amazing things to look forward to in the future.

The best in the world ⛷️ ️️ La️🌟🌟🌟🌟

That the best times in my life might not be behind me. 👑👑👑

8️⃣3️⃣🐐🐐🐐

Today was truly a gift. I’m so thankful for it.
I’m thankful for the chance to celebrate for a moment with people I love, people I work with everyday who make it possible, teammates and friends, competitors and some of my favorite people in the world near and far.

I’m thankful for the mystery and I’m thankful for the history.
And now, I’m moving right along. Instagram

Soak it all in and enjoy your accomplishment! CONGRATS ❤️🔥🍾

Mikaela Shiffrin makes history, breaks Lindsey Vonn’s
record for skiing World Cup wins (msn.com)

Lindsay Vonn will stay in history as the Speedqueen; she sits here 82 World Cup Victories only at Speed competitions. This is quite harder to reach, because Speed events are often cancelled because of weather conditions. Both are great women at the skiworld. Mikaela is more versatile and competes in many different competitions than Linsay. She is the most complete skier in the current time. It’s great to watch her.

Vonn has only one less win in Giant then Miss Shiffrin has in Downhill. They are both
all round skiers but Miss Shiffrin is best in slalom and Miss Vonn is best in Downhill.
But the downhill is more dangerous, do you know why she had a winning streak, than
the last few weeks or something hardly podiumed. And now winning again.

Lindsey Vonn to Mikaela Shiffrin: My door is always open – YouTube
As skiers, Vonn and Shiffrin are a study in contrast: Vonn was a daredevil, a speed demon, often crashing wildly into fences. She thrived in the speed events — the downhill and super-G. Shiffrin’s impeccable technique allows her to excel in the technical races, the slalom and giant slalom, but she’s swift and versatile enough to be the only skier to have won a race in all six World Cup disciplines — the downhill, super-G, slalom, giant slalom, combined, and parallel slalom.
Shiffrin matched Vonn’s 82 wins on Jan. 8 by triumphing in a giant slalom in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, the 233rd World Cup race of her career. Vonn needed 395 races to reach that mark. Shiffrin finished second in a slalom on Jan. 10 in Austria in her first attempt to pass Vonn. “I knew from the very beginning that she would be the one to break all the records.
But to do it at such a young age is really impressive,” Vonn said in a diary she wrote for the Associated Press. “Catching Ingemar Stenmark’s men’s mark of 86 wins was always the ultimate goal for me, but with the injuries I sustained it just wasn’t possible. For her, the sky’s the limit. I don’t think that Stenmark is necessarily the benchmark. She’s going to set the new standard and we’ll have to wait and see how high she can go.”

Mikaela Shiffrin Opens Up on Lindsey Vonn, Olympics & Pressure | Sports Illustrated
After Shiffrin tied Vonn’s win total she screamed for joy, releasing the pent-up nerves that she said had ignited a rash on her face. But she later cried on the victory stand because it triggered memories of her father, Jeff, who died as the result of head injuries he suffered in a fall in Colorado in February 2020.
Jeff Shiffrin, 65, was an anesthesiologist by trade and a photographer by hobby, known for snapping photos of his daughter on the World Cup trail. Shortly before her first World Cup win, in 2012, he told her to memorize the words of “The Star Spangled Banner,” “because if you ever win, you better sing it.” She added, “And so I always think about him when I’m up there.

His death initially plunged her into a depression. She considered quitting. “There was a really long time that I didn’t really feel like it was worth it to care about anything,” she said in a 2021 interview on the “Today” show, “so it seemed like I’m not going to ski race again because the most fundamental thing of an athlete is that you have to care about your sport and you have do care about doing well at your sport, and I just didn’t.”
She slowly regained her passion. Winner of Olympic gold in the slalom in 2014 and gold in the giant slalom and silver in the combined in 2018, she went to the Beijing Games with great expectations. For reasons she still can’t explain, she skied out on the first run of the giant slalom and slalom races, finished ninth in the Super-G, 18th in the downhill, and clipped a gate and crashed out early in the slalom portion of the combined event. In the mixed team parallel event she was part of a fourth-place finish for the U.S.

“There’s going to be a whole chaotic mess of crap that people are saying about how I just fantastically failed these last couple of weeks in the moments that actually counted,” she said after the combined event. “It’s really strange, but I’m not even afraid of that right now and maybe it’s because I don’t have any emotional energy to give anymore.”

Yet she found the motivation to return to the World Cup circuit after
the Games and win her fourth overall title. She’s leading this year, too.

Shiffrin refused to be defined by her Olympic failures.
She got back up, stronger than ever. GOATS do that.

Different disciplines? (I don’t know that much about alpine skiing)

I’d say 3 main reasons
1. Yes, discipline. There are 4 main disciplines in alpine; she has the most talent
for technical ones like this one (SL & GS) and the last few races were not these.
2. It is extremely difficult to be consistent in this sport. So, even if she’s amazing
and exceptional we can’t expect her to win every race of a season. Also because…
3. Skiing is an outside sport, so you have to adapt to conditions. It is very rare
to see athletes able to win in any condition (snow texture etc).

Mikaela Shiffrin breaks all-time women’s Alpine skiing World Cup record (nbcnews.com)
She’s one of them but she’s still human. It has been so amazing to watch her progression. She’s got a smaller build and was a natural at slalom, but early on struggled with the speed events. You can see how her hard work both on the slopes and in the gym has led to her progression as a threat in the speed disciplines. Add her new speed abilities with her natural technical talent and she dominates All aspects of the sport. Truly amazing.

Many slalom racers lose some quick twitch and put on weight, if Mikaela ages
a touch will we still adore her speed prowess. Now think of 6 yrs to equal the age of the other 80 somethings, potential 180 starts and Mikaela’s 33% accomplishments to date. WOW!!!  Such a gracious and humble champion.

Great accomplishment for a great human being ! 🙌⛷️⚡🇺🇸

I’m pretty sure that was smoke, not snow, coming off her skis at the end. 🚀

Being the best technical skier makes the statement you’re the Greatest. 🙌⛷️⛷️⛷️

We aren’t the best at everything, but the US sure does produce some incredible athletes.

Proud to be 🇺🇸 🙌

She is a true gift to the world of skiing. A true professional & humble champion!!!

Forever the one! Txs Mickaëla! 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐

Native American Beliefs

What Did David Henry Thoreau Learn About Nature – Bing video

Move to Walden Pond of Henry David Thoreau.
One of My All-Time Favorite Americans was Henry David Thoreau,
By early 1845 he felt more restless than ever, until he decided to take up an idea of a Harvard classmate who had once built a waterside hut in which one could read and contemplate. In the spring Thoreau picked a spot by Walden Pond, a small glacial lake located 2 miles (3 km) south of Concord on land Emerson owned.

Cabin at Walden Pond
Early in the spring of 1845, Thoreau, then 27 years old, began to chop down tall pines with which to build the foundations of his home on the shores of Walden Pond. From the outset the move gave him profound satisfaction. Once settled, he restricted his diet for the most part to the fruits and vegetables he found growing wild and the beans he planted.
When he wasn’t busy weeding his bean rows and trying to protect them from hungry  groundhogs or occupied with fishing, swimming, or rowing, he spent long hours observing and recording the local flora and fauna, reading, and writing A Week on the Concord and Merrimack Rivers (1849). He also made entries in his journals, which he later polished and included in Walden. Much time, too, was spent in meditation.

Henry David Thoreau: Walden Pond cabin
Out of such activity and thought came Walden, a series of 18 essays describing
Thoreau’s experiment in basic living and his effort to set his time free for leisure.
Several of the essays provide his original perspective on the meaning of work and leisure and describe his experiment in living as simply and self-sufficient as possible, while in others Thoreau described the various realities of life at Walden Pond: his intimacy with the small animals he came in contact with; the sounds, smells, and look of woods and water at various seasons; the music of wind in telegraph wires—in short, the felicities
of learning how to fulfill his desire to live as simply and self-sufficient as possible.
The physical act of living day by day at Walden Pond is what gives the book authority, while Thoreau’s command of a clear, straightforward, elegant style helped raise it to
the level of a literary classic. Thoreau stayed for two years at Walden Pond (1845–47).
In the summer of 1847 Emerson invited him to stay with his wife and children again,
while Emerson himself went to Europe. Thoreau accepted, and in September1847
he left his cabin forever.

Midway in his Walden sojourn
Thoreau had spent a night in jail. On an evening in July 1846 he encountered
Sam Staples, the constable and tax gatherer. Staples asked him amiably to pay his poll tax, which Thoreau had omitted paying for several years. He declined, and Staples locked him up. The next morning a still-unidentified lady, perhaps his aunt, Maria, paid the tax.
Thoreau reluctantly emerged, did an errand, and then went to collect huckleberries
A single night, he decided, was enough to make his point that he could not support a government that endorsed slavery and waged an imperialist war against Mexico.
His defense of the private, individual conscience against the expediency of the majority found expression in his most famous essay, “Civil Disobedience,” was first published in May 1849 under the title “Resistance to Civil Government.”
The essay received little attention until the 20th century, when it found an eager audience with the American civil rights movement. To many, its message still sounds timely: there
is a higher law than the civil one, and the higher law must be followed even if a penalty ensues. So does its consequence: “Under a government which imprisons any unjustly,
the true place for a just man is also a prison.”

Later life and works.
When Thoreau left Walden, he passed the peak of his career, and his life lost much of
its illumination. Slowly his Transcendentalism drained away as he became a surveyor in order to support himself. He collected botanical specimens for himself and reptilian ones for Harvard, jotting down their descriptions in his journal. He established himself in his neighbourhood as a sound man with rod and transit, and he spent most of his time in the family business; after his father’s death he took it over entirely.
Thoreau made excursions to the Maine woods, to Cape Cod, and to Canada, using his experiences on the trips as raw material for three series of magazine articles: “Ktaadn
[sic] and the Maine Woods,” in The Union Magazine (1848); “Excursion to Canada,” in Putnam’s Monthly (1853); and “Cape Cod,” in Putnam’s (1855). These works present Thoreau’s zest for outdoor adventure and his appreciation of the natural environment
that had for so long sustained his own spirit.

Thoreau’s two famous symbolic actions,
His two years in the cabin at Walden Pond and his night in jail for civil disobedience, represent his personal enactment of the doctrines of New England Transcendentalism
as expressed by his friend and associate Emerson, among others.
In his writings Thoreau was concerned primarily with the possibilities for human culture provided by the American natural environment.
He adapted ideas garnered from the then-current Romantic literatures in order to extend American libertarianism and individualism beyond the political and religious spheres to those of social and personal life. “The life which men praise and regard as successful is but one kind. Why,” Thoreau asked in Walden, where his example was the answer, “should we exaggerate any one kind at the expense of the others?”

In a commercial, conservative, expedient society that was rapidly becoming urban
and industrial, he upheld the right to self-culture, to an individual life shaped by inner principle. He demanded for all the freedom to follow unique lifestyles, to make poems of their lives and living itself an art. In a restless, expanding society dedicated to practical action, he demonstrated the uses and values of leisure, contemplation, and a harmonious appreciation of and coexistence with nature.
Thoreau established the tradition of nature writing later developed by the Americans.
John Burroughs and John Muir, and his pioneer study of the human uses of nature profoundly influenced such conservationists and regional planners as Benton MacKaye and Lewis Mumford. More important, Thoreau’s life, so fully expressed in his writing, has had a pervasive influence because it was an example of moral heroism and an example of the continuing search for a spiritual dimension in American life.

As Thoreau became less of a Transcendentalist.
He became more of an activist—above all, a dedicated abolitionist. As much as anyone in Concord, he helped to speed people fleeing slavery north on the Underground Railroad. He lectured and wrote against slavery; “Slavery in Massachusetts,” a lecture delivered in 1854, was his hardest indictment. In the abolitionist John Brown he found a father figure beside whom Emerson paled; the fiery old fanatic became his ideal. By now Thoreau was in poor health, and, when Brown’s raid on Harpers Ferry failed and he was hanged, Thoreau suffered a psychic shock that probably hastened his own death. He died, apparently of tuberculosis, in 1862.

Legacy of Henry David Thoreau
In terms of material success, Thoreau lived a life of repeated failures. He had to pay for
the printing of A Week on the Concord and Merrimack Rivers; when it sold a mere 220 copies, the publishers dumped the remaining 700 on his doorstep. Walden (the second and last of his books published during his lifetime) fared better but still took five years to sell 2,000 copies. And yet Thoreau is regarded as both a classic American writer and a cultural hero of his country. This opinion of his greatness stems from the power of his principal ideas and the lucid, provocative writing with which he expressed them.

Thoreau and the Environment Snow-laden pitch pines
(Photographer: Herbert Gleason, from The Writings of Henry David Thoreau, 1906)
Henry Thoreau liked to get his feet muddy; all nature was a tonic for him. Nearly every day, year round, he was out walking — exploring and studying every nook and cranny in Walden Woods, Estabrook Woods, and the rest of Concord, and recording in his journals in vivid detail what he heard and smelled and saw.
On warm Sunday mornings, he waded up to his shoulders in the Concord River while
his neighbors sat high and dry in their church pews. While his neighbors tilled their fields, he climbed the tallest white pine trees he could find in a search for bird nests, pine cones, or a fine view. Thoreau’s study of how plant seeds are spread led to his theory of forest succession, accepted today as a key contribution to the field.

But beyond his superb talents as observer and naturalist lay Thoreau’s passion to explore deeper meanings in nature. “The hen-hawk (red-tailed hawk) and the pine are friends,” he wrote in his Journal in 1859. “What we call wildness is a civilization other than our own.” Writing in his classic book, Walden, about the ties between people and nature, he says, “Our village life would stagnate if it were not for the unexplored forests and meadows which surround it.” And he adds, “We need the tonic of wildness, — to wade sometimes in marshes where the bittern and the meadow-hen [American coot] lurk, and hear the booming of the snipe; to smell the whispering sedge where only some wilder and more solitary fowl builds her nest, and the mink crawls with its belly close to the ground.”

As his understanding and intimacy with the world of nature developed,
Thoreau became one of its earliest champions. Watching Concord stripped of its forests
for farming and fuel-wood, and seeing the village expand into the countryside, Thoreau looked to the future and raised new possibilities. “Each town should have a park, or rather a primitive forest, of 500 or a thousand acres, where a stick should never be cut for fuel, a common possession forever, for instruction and recreation,” he wrote.
Largely overlooked during his lifetime, he is now praised as one of the nation’s most powerful voices for the natural environment. “In Wildness is the preservation of the World,” he wrote, and with such statements helped shape the thinking of modern day environmentalists. Today countless people point to Thoreau as the father of this century’s environmental movement.

Thoreau is an American original — an amazing mix of land surveyor and pencil designer, naturalist and social reformer, poet and philosopher. But Thoreau himself had something perhaps more revealing to tell us about himself and his work. “My profession is always to be on the alert to find God in Nature, to know his lurking-places, to attend all the oratorios, the operas, of nature.” In a river, he found the flow of eternity; climbing a mountain he felt his spirit move closer to God. “I believe in the forest, and in the meadow, and in the night in which the corn grows.” It was as though he could see through Nature to a glimpse of the divine. What might sound to us like a contradiction made perfect sense to him: “Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads.” Exalting his own small world of Walden Pond and Walden Woods and the Concord countryside, Henry Thoreau exalted nature for all of us everywhere.

Beyond Walden: What Henry David Thoreau Teaches Us About Nature and Connection
April 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. Organizations around the world have commemorated the occasion by participating in the global Earth Optimism  movement — an initiative spearheaded by the Smithsonian to “turn the conservation conversation from doom and gloom to optimism and opportunity”.
Throughout 2020, the Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL) and our partners are joining the movement by sharing conservation success stories from and made possible by the BHL collection. Follow our blog for conservation stories — past and present — and visit our website for more information and to explore our Earth Optimism book collection.

Thoreau the writer.  Thoreau the philosopher.
Thoreau the naturalist.  Thoreau the citizen.

———————
The myriad of Henry David Thoreau’s titles demonstrates the fusion of interests
that propelled his path toward becoming one of the key naturalist figures in history.
Classic works like Walden and Civil Disobedience brought Thoreau literary renown
as he proclaimed the philosophies of Transcendentalism and environmentalism.
As a naturalist, his records of field specimens amassed in journals both while living at Walden Pond and long after. Though praised for his place in the American literary canon, he also made significant contributions to the scientific community. His field notes and data are now helping scientists learn more about species’ resilience, the effects of climate change, and the historical landscape of New England.

Thoreau’s identities are interdependent.
Without his grace with words, little attention might be devoted to his findings and philosophies. If he had not had a passion for nature and study, he might never have gone to Walden Pond in the first place. Yet, it is not simply living and surviving at Walden Pond that makes Thoreau a great naturalist. His immersion in nature throughout New England and the relationships he formed with members of the Penobscot Nation in Maine sculpted his understanding and passion for the ecosystem.

Blending art and science
Thoreau lived alone at Walden Pond outside the town of Concord, Massachusetts from 1845-1847. He practiced self-reliance by building shelter, farming, fishing and spending long hours in observation of his surroundings. Thoreau proves himself dedicated to his task of environmental study at all times, even during social hours with friends like writer Ralph Waldo Emerson. Thanks to Emerson’s Biographical Sketch of Thoreau, we learn that when the two went walking:
“… [Thoreau] carried an old music-book to press plants; in his pocket, his diary and pencil, a spy-glass for birds, microscope, jack-knife, and twine. He wore a straw hat, stout shoes, strong gray trousers to brave shrub-oaks and smilax, and to climb a tree for a hawk’s or a squirrel’s nest. He waded into the pool for the water-plants, and his strong legs were no insignificant part of his armor.” (Biographical Sketch of Thoreau, 20)
Thoreau’s book Notes on New England Birds goes on to showcase the very data he collected on such walks (maybe even with Emerson in tow!). His trademark lyricism is reflected in his field notes, such as this observation of a red-winged blackbird’s nest:

“What Champollion can translate the hieroglyphics on these eggs?
It is always writing of the same character, though much diversified. While the bird picks up the material and lays the egg, who determines the style of the marking? When you approach, away dashes the dark mother, betraying her nest, and then chattering her anxiety from a neighboring bush…” (Notes on New England Birds, 251)
While the text maintains his melodious tone, it actually serves as critical data for the first records of animals in the area. For each of the birds, Thoreau records incremental updates over many years, illustrating changes in behaviors and migration. His notes reveal much more than a studious rigor, illuminating the true joy he experienced as a participant in nature. Thoreau takes an anthropomorphic approach to his notes on the birds, personifying each creature as an individual entity representative of its greater species:
“The loon comes in the fall to sail and bathe in the pond, making the woods ring with its wild laughter in the early morning…” (Notes on New England Birds, 3)

In Catalogue of Herbarium of Henry D. Thoreau, we see a less aesthetic side to
his data collection. These handwritten notes on specimens from Thoreau’s herbarium show methodical organization and notes on each plant — Latin names and all.
According to the Thoreau Society, he studied botany when he was at the Concord Academy and went on to collect about 900 plant specimens to dry and add to his herbarium. Through these two data sets, we see Thoreau’s scholastic pendulum swing between
art and science, emphasizing the multifaceted nature of his purpose.

Data that lives on
While Thoreau’s herculean efforts set precedents for the fields of biology and botany,
his data itself remains relevant to current research. Works by other authors exemplify his contributions to modern science, such as the 1974 publication by Richard Jefferson Eaton entitled A Flora of Concord. This book documents the plants and ferns that grew naturally in Concord from Thoreau’s time to present day. Without Thoreau’s data on flora and animals, scientists would not have access to such an extensive look at species’ respective survivals and declines over time.
The detail of Thoreau’s field journals has provided scientists with evidence that
allow them to evaluate changes in animal and plant behavior over a wide span of time.
The Impact of Climate Change on the Flora of Thoreau’s Concord“, by Abraham J. Miller-Rushing and Richard B. Primack, boasts that Concord flora is “one of the best-documented floras in the country,” thanks to the initial work of Thoreau along with another local, Alfred Hosmer.
Since 1830, the floras have been inventoried five times, serving as an immense case study of the effects of a changing habitat, climate, topography, and other factors on native plants.

flora concord.jpg
Britton’s violet (Viola brittoniana) is one of many wildflowers native to Concord.
Miller-Rushing, Abraham J., and Richard B. Primack.

The painstaking work that Thoreau endured is emphasized by his commitment to tracking plants even through the brutal New England winters. Miller-Rushing and Primack note: “From 1852 to 1858, he hiked around Concord and made regular observations of the first flowering times of over 500 different species of plants in an effort to create a calendar of the natural events in Concord.”
Thoreau and Hosmer documented plant occurrences as well as flowering and fruiting times, which have sensitive biological responses to alterations in climate. Their catalogs are allowing scientists to examine how and why certain species respond differently to changes in environment and compare the findings in Concord with those in other parts of the world. Such evidence provides a case study into the effects of climate change and loss of natural habitat on organisms’ behavior and survival.

The Penobscot Nation and Thoreau
Other books by Thoreau include information on the topography of New England infused with introspective narratives, such as Cape Cod and The Maine WoodsThe Maine Woods documents Thoreau’s time spent with people of the Penobscot Nation, now one of Maine’s tribal governments. His time in Maine marks a formative period in his growth not only as a scientist but as a champion of the environment.
According to the Penobscot Nation’s Cultural & Historic Preservation Department, Thoreau did not always have a sincere respect for Native American culture. He was interested in Native Americans, but thought they were on the decline, as did most of society at the time. Starting in 1846, Thoreau made three trips to Maine and became increasingly well-acquainted with the Penobscot Nation.
While canoeing with tribe members Joseph Attean (sometimes spelled Aitteon) (1829-1870) and Joseph Polis (1809-1884) as guides, Thoreau came to know Native American people as individuals and teachers, rather than as a fascination he had held since youth.

Attean, the last hereditary and first elected Chief of the Penobscot Nation, guided
Thoreau on his second trip through Maine. Attean helped him develop more respect for the significance of Penobscot culture, though Thoreau still held on to lingering prejudices and stereotypes about Native Americans. Polis worked as the guide on his final trip. A Penobscot leader and representative for the tribe in official state and federal business, Polis expanded Thoreau’s worldview while bestowing on him an invaluable education on the land. Thoreau’s appreciation for the Penobscot Nation seemed to solidify thanks to his time with Polis. Thoreau describes a conversation while canoeing with Polis, writing: “I told him that in this voyage I would tell him all I knew, and he should tell me all he knew, to which he readily agreed.” (The Maine Woods, 172)
We cannot fully embrace Thoreau’s contribution to science without honoring the guidance that Attean and Polis provided both in his scientific and spiritual journey. Thoreau’s maturation is evident in The Maine Woods and integral to our understanding of his impact on environmentalism. Thoreau’s relationships with Attean and Polis advanced his knowledge of Maine’s landscape and his intimacy with nature. He acknowledges their tribe’s expertise and connection to the land, saying: “Nature must have made a thousand revelations to them which are still secrets to us.” (The Maine Woods, 185)

Penobscot river.jpg

While Walden may be Thoreau’s most famous work, The Maine Woods is the culmination of his identities at their prime. We see Thoreau’s ability to relate not only with nature, but with other people and cultures. For a man who chose to live in the woods for two years, Thoreau seemed to maintain a desire to engage with those around him throughout his life. His relationships with people like Emerson, Attean, and Polis take Thoreau out of the context of his achievements and reveal a person who sought genuine connection with people and the environment.
Thoreau’s scientific contributions and the ways in which they helped him grow in cultural awareness illustrate the importance of environmental research. The more Thoreau learned about his ecosystem, the more he fell in love with it and could show others how to develop a similar appreciation. The environment is still benefiting from Thoreau’s work today, as his data helps to advance research and his reflections motivate people to care for the earth as he did. A literary and scientific reading of Thoreau’s collection allows us to discover not only the effort behind his achievements, but the impetus for his life’s work.

I relate so strongly to this book. I constantly am philosophizing about things in my head and nobody understands me. But when I read, or listen in this case, to a book like this,
I feel sane again. I feel like maybe I’m not insane. There are just so many things in this book that come intuitively to me but seem so hard for others to understand.

You’re the best companion a man could ever have.

Listen To What Jesus Stern Warning to All Who Profess to Be His Followers as Written
in Luke 6:46-49: “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?
Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock.
And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.
But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without
a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell.
And the ruin of that house was great.”

Again, Listen to What Jesus Warns His Followers In Matthew 7:21-23:

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven,
but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven. Many will say to Me in that day,
‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name,
and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them,
‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

And Again Listen To What Jesus Says In John 14:21-23:
He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he
who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”
Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us,
and not to the world?”
Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word;
and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
Therefore, Right Here, Today, Pastor Will Tell You the Gospel Good News Message of Salvation in Jesus Christ and Will Lead You Step By Step in Prayer Before God to Ask Jesus Christ to Grant You Forgiveness for All Your Sins and to Give You God’s Priceless Gift of Eternal Life When You in Genuine Faith Invite Jesus Christ to Come into Your

Hi 👋🏼 My name is Sally 💕 I was a competitive dancer for most
of my childhood and young adult years. I wasn’t born flexible or with grace 😂

In fact, quite the opposite. My passion ignited that fire inside me to be the best dancer.
I could be, maybe not born with all of the talent but with the heart. I practiced every single day in my flexibility and technical dance skills to make the elite dance team. I worked HARD to be the best dancer I could be. My dance team went on to win multiple national championships and my dance career was some of the best times of my entire life. Sally your #1 hype woman (@sally_babesgolf) • Instagram photos and videos

People always ask me how I made the physical changes I made in just ONE YEAR.

ONE WORD. DISCIPLINE. I eat out less than probably 90% of people. I cook my own meals. Exercise and eating clean are non-negotiable.

Do I eat out sometimes? Yes. Do I drink? Yes. Do I drink a lot? No. I gained the most weight when I was 1. Eating like trash. 2. Not working out. 3. Drinking more than I should (daily or 3-5 days a week). I also was struggling mentally. Bad diet= depression. 0 exercise= depression. Also it can cause a lack of confidence and a sense of unworthiness. My point is, eat better, and exercise and you can reach your goals.

Don’t treat it like a short term thing.
A healthy Holistic lifestyle is a lifelong thing.

If you’re depressed or feeling like you’re not doing enough ONLY YOU can change that.
Keep doing the same things, you will keep feeling the same.

Fast forward to 35 when golf became my new obsession. It’s been a couple years now that I’ve been consistent with my golf game. Again ignited by that burning desire and passion for the game! I’m not the best golfer, but I know if I stick with it I will be what I consider a good golfer one day.

In my opinion a true friend will not sugar coat their advice, they won’t lie to you to make you feel better. Obviously there’s a way to put things so you don’t hurt peoples feelings BUT if I care about you I will let you know how I feel. Growth comes from listening and understanding as well as not everyone wants advice either. It’s important to be that safe place so that people can vent without an opinion (make sure to ask someone if they want your advice first).

How are you supposed to be a better person if you don’t surround yourself with people who want to help you in your journey? People who tell you you’re right, when you’re wrong. Or people who don’t call you out on your BS when you make a mistake, are not the kind of people I want in my circle. People who give unsolicited advice, when I want to vent. Or interrupt when you are delivering some heavy shit…those people aren’t listening. It’s hard to hear when I do and say things that people may not like and they let me know, but when someone I respect gives me advice on how to do better, you best bet I will listen, I will take it all in, and I will try and do better. You can be a good friend and not agree with everyone all the time. It actually makes you a better friend.

Monterey Park shooting

Monterey Park has one of the biggest Asian populations in the United States.

List of mass shootings in the United States – Wikipedia
And today is Chinese culture’s most celebrated holiday. I’m aghast. What was supposed
to be a night of celebrating turned into terror. Monterey Park is a place you always go to
for Asian groceries and restaurants.  My heart and thoughts are with the community of Monterey Park.

I’m heartbroken at the racism found in USA 😢
Im proud to be American we should embrace diversity and love🙏

I’d like more info about the suspect – ethnicity?

Was this a biased reason or was it 1 of our own that did it? With so many witnesses,

all I see is “male” as a description. 💔 I’m still in a bit of shock and my jaw

is so tight/tense right now. The shooter is still at large. 😢 Such horrible news.

Police have released these images of the suspected shooter.
BREAKING: California Mass Shooter ID’ed as 72-Year-Old Huu Can Tran – Breaking911

Praying for the victims and their families. May they catch this savage before he acts again. The USA is a dangerous place indeed. There is something scary wrong in this society.

America is not a safe place. Gun owners’ rights supersede everyone’s right to enjoy a holiday, go to school or the supermarket and be safe. This is a horrible tragedy.
CALI gun laws are the strictest in the country, yet your prosecutors refuse to convict for possession. What a tragedy. My heart is so tremendously sad for the family and friends. Sending love to the Asian community ❤️ Horrific.

When will the Hate Gate close? What is going through people’s minds today.
America is in a crisis. This issue is not political, it’s about the choices of a few

controlling everyone’s quality of life. Horrible.

I AM 😞. Speechless. But here come the thoughts and prayers
and the blame game. But no action. This is the new world we live in.

This is heartbreaking & maddening…again and again. 💔😢

This Country! Map Of The USA Printable | USA Map Printable | Printable Usa Map | Usa Map Wall Art | Usa Map With States | Black And White Usa Map

Why are we allowing this to happen 😢 and its incomprehensible 🙂

They will say the level of xenophobia is Off the charts!–DISGUSTING!

Bless the victims 💔🙏🏻🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊 RIP

The violence is endless, what a helpless feeling this is. What a tragedy.

Praying for the victims, their families and us all.

So heartbroken 💔💔💔 waking up on Lunar New Year like this.    So fed up. This is madness. When will the hate stop??? …This outrage doubled in 2012,
and never felt unsafe in this country like now since we all know who came along.

Whyyyy is there so much evil and ignorance in this world??

The US loves guns more than people, more than banned books, banned AP African American classes. First, black churches, then synagogues, LGBTQ clubs, Asian massage spa, now this!!! WAKE UP America! CALL IT WHAT IT IS!!! A hate crime… it may have been targeted! We know who is known to commit these types of incidents.

Homeland Security released a bulletin on this very thing on 11/30/2022.

This is horrifying. 😨

People are people, and everybody has the right to live a happy, harmonious life in the United States of America, which is a melting pot of different races. People lost their effing mind and coming from the leader of the free world at that time was horrendous and still is horrendous. I AM 😞. Speechless. But here comes the thoughts and prayers
and the blame game.  But no action. This is the new world we live in.

Violent crimes against Asians continue to rise and it feels like local government officials in California and NY are doing nothing to prevent it and support the community. This is just pure evil! I was up 4:30 am following this live on YouTube.  Mass shootings in the United States – Wikipedia

Condolences are no longer acceptable if the people continue to vote the same fools into offices. Our government has yet to hold those in government positions accountable for their role in the attack on the capital.

The Barber Shop

New York, NY – Arthur Rubinoff is the CEO of Reamir & Co.,

Specializing in personal grooming products for men. Reamir & Co. has launched a full
line of products including shampoo, leave-in conditioner, hair gels, lather shaving cream,
aftershave, pre-shave oil and witch hazel toner, natural products for men.

This Barber Shop Museum is a Feast for the Eyes | WETA

.Behind the iconic spinning barbershop signs and gilded frames at the NYC Barber Shop Museum are five generations of barbers. Master barber Arthur Rubinhoff operates four locations of his New York City barber shop, Reamir & Co, along with his son and wife,
who also cut hair.

As she says, everything is about the family.

Arthur was raised in the family’s barber shop, where Arthur’s father Rubin (the founder
of Reamir & Co.) introduced Uzbekistan to the ‘wash and cut’ and to his special blend of botanical ingredients for treating men’s hair and scalps. It was innovative at the time and proved to be an instant success. “I remember going directly to the shop after I was finished with school for the day and working there throughout summer vacation,” Arthur reminisces.

He learned the business from the ground up, starting when he was only nine years
old by doing jobs around the shop, first sweeping up then taking appointments. “My father’s shop was so busy and you had to make your next appointment before you left the shop.” Arthur’s father would work elven hour shifts. His mother would work the morning shift at the beauty salon across town, then walk to her husband’s shop to lend a hand.

The Rubinoff family immigrated to the United States when Arthur was fourteen.
Arthur became a licensed barber as soon as he was old enough, and took a leading role in the growth of his family’s business. Arthur worked alongside his father from morning to night, managing the shops and servicing their customers. They grew to a chain of seven barber shops throughout the New York area. Traveling from store to store, he greets his customers and his staff with the same warmth that they remembered in his father.
“It was very sad when Rubin passed away,” recalls one barber, “but working with Arthur, watching him with his father’s skill and his father’s technique, it makes you feel like Rubin is still here with us.”

Arthur is inspired by his father’s classic approach to barber shop artistry.
“I am revitalizing the old art of cutting hair with scissors and comb. Nowadays, everyone uses electric trimmers, but it doesn’t cut the same. People appreciate the extra time and the care that a classic haircut takes, and the results are significantly better.” Arthur makes sure that barbers who can provide a classic haircut are staffed in all of the family’s shops. And he knows the customers like it too. “I hear all the time how they’ll never get a haircut with the machine ever again,” he says with a grin.

With the barber shop business thriving, Arthur set out to fulfill his long-awaited dream:
recreating his father’s special botanical hair and scalp treatment for men. Taking Rubin’s formulas and fusing them with modern technology, Arthur successfully recreated the hair products that had been successful in Uzbekistan. He brought to life the dream he carried with him since his childhood.

It’s because of Arthur’s deep commitment to customer care and his father’s work ethic that he founded Reamir & Co. He developed a full line salon-quality products that are natural, based on essential oils, alcohol-free and free of harsh detergents and artificial colors. Select products are available in scented and scent-free. “My father would have approved of these products,” says Arthur. “No shortcuts, just the highest-quality ingredients, just like he used. He always made sure that his customers got the best care, and I’m continuing his legacy by creating these products for my customers.” The products are available for purchase exclusively in Reamir & Co. barber shops, and online store, as well through a select franchise.

An Upper West Side Iconic Barber Shop Just Became a Museum.

The story behind the museum – where Rubinoff exhibits rarities from his 1,000-piece collection – sounds as unlikely as the place itself. A rebellious child, Rubinoff laughed
at his father Rubin’s precious collection of barbershop memorabilia.
“Maybe one day I’ll want to open a museum,” his father — who emigrated with his family from Fergana, Uzbekistan in 1991 — would joke. “I used to think it was junk, garbage,” Arthur Rubinoff told the Forward.

When his father passed away in 2003 of brain cancer, “I started seeing life through different eyes,” Rubinoff said. ”I started collecting myself. It became sentimental.”
The Forward caught up with Rubinoff, 43, who also markets personal care products
under the barbershop’s Reamir label.

What are you trying to share with the public through the museum?
Is barbering undervalued?
Arthur Rubinoff: I wouldn’t say ‘undervalued’, but a lot of people don’t know the history. Back in the Middle Ages, barbers were dentists and surgeons. It’s also an art. I’m a fourth-generation barber, and I love what I do.

Like you, my barber’s a Jew from Uzbekistan, as are all the guys in his shop.

What’s the connection between Uzbeki Jews and barbering?

I’ll tell you. There were not a lot of barbers back in Uzbekistan.
It started with immigration — I witnessed it. People with education — teachers, doctors, other professions — when they came here, had English-language barriers, certificate and license barriers. A lot of them went into barbering, shoe repair, nails. Those are always in demand. The money is always there. My father, may he rest in peace, used to say:
‘A barber can make a living even in a desert’. Anywhere I go, I’ll survive, feed my family, feed myself. People need a haircut, just like you need a doctor or attorney.

The museum generated attention worldwide.

What’s the most unusual artifact you’ve got?

I have 41 barber chairs in my collection, 16 ceramic barber poles, 27 wooden crafted
barber poles. I have a brass barber chair that’s one of only three left, in the world.
I have a lot of razors, some 200 years old with ivory handles. There’s a very unusual
hot-towel steam sanitizer from 1901 that still runs on gas – and works.

The space isn’t that big – rent’s too high – so I have to rotate the stuff.
My own barber recently joked that Jewish clients can be a pain. Is there any truth to that?
To me, Jewish people and French people can be a little cheap. They don’t like to give tips. That’s what I‘ve experienced over the years. But Jewish customers are wonderful, sweet.
In the end, I love them all. If they wouldn’t be my customers, I wouldn’t make a living.

What do you think your father would say if he could see the museum?
I’m a very spiritual man. I [survived] clinical death in 2002.
I feel [my father is] with me. I meditate, do yoga. And I see his image.

Although brain cancer can be cured when detected early, many patients are diagnosed quite late or do not respond well to treatment. Understanding the signs of end-stage brain cancer can help patients and their families be better prepared for the inevitable, as well as seek timely palliative care to ensure the most comfortable end-of-life experience possible. Palliative care helps patients and their caregivers better cope with the disease. It involves
a combination of medications, physical rehabilitation, dietary care, counseling, and other relevant services.

What are different types of brain cancer?

Although the terms brain tumor and brain cancer are often used interchangeably,
they are not entirely the same. Not all brain tumors are cancerous or malignant.
Brain cancer may start in the brain itself (primary tumor) or result from the spread
of cancer from other sites in the body (metastasis or secondary cancer).

Brain cancer is typed based on the cells that form the tumors:
Glioma
Glioblastoma
Acoustic neuroma
Pituitary tumor
Meningioma
Astrocytoma
Craniopharyngioma
Medulloblastoma
Glioblastoma (also called glioblastoma multiforme) is the most aggressive type of brain tumor. It develops from astrocytes, which are the most abundant types of cells in the brain.

What are the survival rates for brain cancer?

Brain cancer survival rates largely depend on:
Type of tumor
Site of the tumor
Grade of the tumor
How early the cancer is diagnosed and treated
Patient’s general health and underlying conditions
Tumor grades are determined by examining the tumor cells under a microscope.
Brain tumors are graded from I to IV, with grade I being noncancerous and IV being the most aggressive. Grade IV tumors grow rapidly and spread to different sites in the body. The higher the grade, the poorer the prognosis. Studies suggest that the 5-year survival (percentage of patients who will live at least 5 years) of patients with brain tumors range from 5%-86%. Survival rates are generally better in children and young adults than in older individuals. 5-year survival rates according to different types of brain tumors
