The Worst Thing About Life is each day one day closer to The End.⏳

Death is a gift. Anyone can take your life — no one can take your death.
Any advice on overcoming THE Fear of Death?

Watch the movie What Dreams May Come you have to release the religious programming of hell and punishment. If you liked the movie, you’ll love the book that inspired it, Dante’s Inferno. The book explains it better than the movie. I believe the book to be more accurate. The wife committed suicide, however, didn’t realize it. Her hell (or version of) was created by her own
mind in her own form of punishing herself. But definitely read the book!!!

From an extremely young age I used to frequently have bad panic attacks because I was terrified of death.

Understand that fear follows fearful thoughts. Both are creations of the brain.
To let go of fear of death, one must go deeper within, beyond thought and emotion, unto their core essence which is life – who we all truly are.
Do this and one has overcome death.
Just look at it this way… if you don’t think anything at all happens when
you die then why waste a second thinking about it?
If you know heaven exists (it does the word exists for a reason)
then try and spend your time helping others instead of stressing. Two hearts

Don’t worry about it as you will be at peace either way. I look at it as the next phase of existence. We exist in the world today as humans and then after we die we exist as the next form. Either way you shouldn’t be scared.

In my opinion it’s just the next step in your journey.
Perhaps you will find in this book The-Spirits-Book.pdf
some useful answers, about life, spirits, death and God.

Contrary to what they taught us in religious institutions !! 🕯Folded handsSmiling face with halo Well we are all going to die at some point. That is 100% given.
Why spend your life worrying instead of embracing life and living? I also think about how cool it will be to see all those who have gone before us. Think of it as your next journey. I held the hand of a person that died and as she did I felt her spirit leave her body. Just because we are done with this body on this earth doesn’t mean we don’t carry on.
If humanity had any sense we would have collectively worked towards making ourselves immortal, but we love drama, being foolish or fearful instead of accepting truth and working to fix our issues.

Biological evolution is the only way out.
Call on the Lord! The human needs two things that are free before he/she dies to allow them into eternal paradise .. the blood of Christ & the Holy Spirit. Hell & eternal punishment is real– & Heaven and eternal life for those who are in Christ is very real- Call on the Lord! Humans need 2 things that are free before he/she dies to allow them into eternal paradise .. the blood of Christ & the Holy Spirit.. God will give both if a person believes in Christ & calls on Him for forgiveness,

For me, it’s not about hell/heaven or punishment/rewards. It’s about never seeing, hearing, touching and holding my loved ones ever again. That is what frightens me about death. There is no death, not of consciousness anyway.
Soul is eternal. Heaven or hell is something we create for ourselves on earth.
As a Phoenix, we understand this better than others. Rise, crash + burn, rise again. Life goes on, even after we leave the body.

Revelation Day: To say hell is real, is to say God condones torture and is not forgiving. Earth is hell we get the chance to prove ourselves if not done then we get to try again. Reincarnation. Breath Work will show you that your body is an Avatar and your Energetic Soul Body is the Cosmic Consciousness animating our flesh. Our Souls depart from the flesh and you see this was all a Material Simulation of an overwhelmingly powerful Spiritual Reality.
Super consciousness: Is the universe a conscious mind?

When you realize you are Cosmic consciousness.
Everything is nothing more than transition, Change is life. Beware the nanites.
He who controls the nanites….controls the universe and all THAT IS IN IT 🙂
When these bodies end, our life will keep moving throughout the universe.

Is it fear of death or dying?
Death comes to us all but dying can be quick and painless or long, drawn out, and full of suffering. I do not fear death for where we go afterwards is amazing.
Embrace transhumanism: Ram Dass – Bing videos has often referred to his astral guide telling him “death is like taking off a tight shoe.”

The imagery has helped me a lot.
Other people have said meditation is also very good. Life is never done, death is just a passing through another doorway in perception. Know that it’s another form of metamorphosis. Where one door closes another opens!!! Research what happens after you die – You fear the unknown. You don’t fear going to bed at night because it’s part of living. You know what happens in the morning. Death is just shedding of the physical body- your thoughts and consciousness remain.

Let that go. It’s a useless feeling because there is so much life after death.
We leave these rotting vessels but consciousness lives on forever.
There is no true death. Only death of the physical vessel.
We are beings of light. We’re only here having a human experience.
Live a good life and when you leave this vessel you wake up into a new vessel. Truth is, we’re all terminal & there’s nothing we can do about it.
Anxiety, worrying, & fearing it doesn’t change a thing.
So, my advice, live your best life & be in the present.

Do the best you can while you can.
Having full knowledge and confidence that Life energy never dies, scientific fact, it only moves from one place to another. Fear only comes in not being certain where you are going to end up. I know where I’m going. No Fear.
Yeah, it is a fact of life, natural, and the way of the Universe.
Like THE STARS, all eventually die, while others are born.

What exactly is there to fear, other than the unknown?

DOORS – No One Here Gets Out Alive
“No one here gets out alive” ~ Jim Morrison

Letting go of it. You can’t die, you are not your body. Being outside of your body feels more like home than any physical place will ever make you feel.
It is like returning back home after a long trip. Try leaving your body while meditating. Laying down works best for me.

White heart

There is no death sentence. You are an archetypal pattern of the multiverse.
Why make a pattern, if it’s only used once? There’s never been sleep without being awake, or awake without sleep. Close these eyes, and you’ll open them again, and again, and again.

It’s in your nature. Folded hands When you inner stand that we are infinite light beings and that we have always been and always will be…when you feel this in your cells then you will hold no fear of the illusion of death.

Death is simply a transition to a new experience. A portal to a different realm.

“Every man dies. Not every man really lives.” – William Wallace.

Never FEAR Death. Let your vibrations remain high and positive and welcome it. Remember…WE ARE NOTHING BUT ENERGY | ENERGY NEVER DIES!!
Embrace it fully, but NEVER fear it. I am so ready when it is my time…I know what awaits me.

First off. Love the name.
Second. Have you seen “Spartacus ” 4 seasons.
I think you’re on the right track. You’re close to figuring out your answer.
But I say this. Life is suffering, but if you can find the meaning to life, to overlook the suffering. It will be worth it.
A shift in the perception around death will help immensely.
It’s different for everyone, however this book helped me.

image.png

Start studying and reading Near death Experiences,
Research NDEs – Bing videos most of them are spectacular and have a lot in common. Also there are over 1700 cases worldwide of proven and researched reincarnation stories, they all tie together. It’s a very good way to get an idea of the other side. 25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hadeeth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. 26 If any man serves me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serves me, he will my Father honor. John 12:25-26 KJV

It’s a matter of asking yourself why you are afraid.
What’s the fear really about. Do you not want to let the 3d Existence go?
Are you afraid of the unknown? I personally have never been afraid of death, somehow I know there are better things waiting elsewhere-wherever that is.
Remember that if death was the end, you would remember nothing… Take stalk in knowing you have collected memories so that you can take them somewhere Just get kicked in the teeth enough times and suddenly death doesn’t seem so bad. If you fear death it is because you’ve had it too soft.

As of the moment there is no way to halt cycles of the universe, even reverse them. Never bet on immortality. Death may be nothing but nothingness, or it just might be the next step. Live your life how you see fit and don’t expect the cycles to end. We are in it together Red heartFlag of United States

I’m not afraid to die. I just want to live my life fully. If my time is up and my soul purpose is met I am ready any time. There is nothing called death btw.

I will only change my life form.

As gracefully as you can, having fully let go of everyone and everything,
go back to sleep. We crave the death of sleep every day. Why worry? It’s the natural state. Death was your friend all along…reminding you of the lies of sensory perception and the desires of life. Think about a baby who is about to be born, to him that equals death ‘cause everything he knows is his mother’s womb. I think death is something like that, your soul’s experience doesn’t end with your body.

Death is transformation. It’s a conversion of matter back into energy.
The cycle of life and death is similar to the Katabasis of The Spirit while still within matter. The process is a mirror for enlightenment, hence the importance of a Memento mori.
When we fear death, we fear the dispelling of the illusions in our lives.
SO, to dispel these illusions while alive, you will then have no fear of death. Judgement for past actions is one example. Really, that fear comes from our own lack of resolution of our own self-judgement.

Just live your life to the fullest knowing you did everything you wanted to and imagine yourself going to heaven. Aside from we never die? You just go back home and do a review, it’s actually a great thing as long as your lessons are learned. Yes, treat everyone/everything in your life w/ love and respect. You don’t die, You never die. Only the flesh dies for you are spirit, death is only another beginning to a new timeline.

You’re only afraid of death when you’re not living right. Raising hands

You can’t die, doesn’t the 1st law of thermodynamics prove that?
These are my people this is my lane this is what we pray for and this is God’s plan. Consciously choose (daily practice) to change focus, find ways to improve and maximize your time (personally, professionally or socially). Do not allow negative thoughts or people to take you off course from fulfilling your highest potential. Life’s full of these distractions.

Death doesn’t exist when you do, why think about something that only exists when you don’t?

Just stop thinking about itSlightly smiling face

Death is as natural as being born.
Read “Meditations” by Marcus Aurelius. Memento Mori. We will all check out eventually. The antidote is this: When you have any thought immediately think about the reverse. If you are afraid to die just think and feel that you have enough courage if for any reason you’ll have to die. PS: not new age shit bc it actually works From : Hermes Thrice Great

Why fear something that every single living thing ever born has faced and will face? I just remember one day being ‘aware’ that I was ‘here’. I didn’t do anything to get here.
I am just a passenger on this journey called life. Don’t take it so seriously, no one gets out alive. Go Live, as much as possible everyday Death is inevitable and could happen any second. Conquer your fear by facing it.
Fearing death is akin to graduating but fearing going out into the world. Totally normal for our current program. Those who say they don’t fear death need to have a conversation with their subconscious & take a course with their instinct.

Death is not an end, it is merely a transition. To fear death is to fear life itself.

Learning there is life after death is the ultimate comfort Down pointing backhand index

What you think of as life is death; and what you think of as death is life.
The fun of this death space is, you can discover the light of true life while in it. No need to wait for the physical apparatus to drop. Nothing is certain except Death, Every living being has to taste it. You are not alone. Those who are conscious of it can do more in life and can live life to the fullest. If you Love the one God who has created us and to whom we shall return, death means to one with beloved.

Perhaps it’s fear that needs work as that is an emotion that can be transcended through surrender, or choosing to live in a “higher” state of consciousness.

This is the work of Dr. David R Hawkins.

Nanjing Road, China: Modernized Over 100 Years The city of Shanghai, China is full of booming businesses, but some of the most notable run the length of Nanjing Road which was constructed back in 1845. This invigorating road houses a shopping district that is 3.5 miles long, making it the longest shopping district in the world! One million tourists visit this location annually.

image.png

China is known as the world’s fastest-growing economy, where many technological advancements originated. A visit to China wouldn’t be complete without a stroll in Nanjing Road, which has changed quite drastically over the years. Most of the change has actually only taken place in the past two decades.

Tokyo shocks japan by growing at a supernatural pace
It goes without saying that Tokyo is a modern miracle of the 20th century. After World War Two, the Japanese city experienced changes so extreme that the city could have been mistaken for a completely different one. In just a few short decades, Tokyo transformed itself into a symbol of
the modern future, technological advances, and urban life.

image.png

Today, Tokyo isn’t just the capital city of Japan and the largest city in the country, but also the country’s financial, industrial, and commercial center. The city has been rebuilt several times throughout its history, and the industrial revolution and urbanization process hasn’t passed over the city, which attracted many residents over the years.

Jakarta: Indonesian Capital Named Second-Most Populous City on the Planet.
A staggering 35.934 million people live in Jakarta, Indonesia. This makes the city often referred to as “The Big Durian”, a contender to “The Big Apple” which is, of course, New York City here in the United States. We think the name is appropriate considering the number of residents living here.
The name comes from their native fruit, the Durian fruit.

image.png
Personally, we don’t think any city in the world compares to NYC, which is truly a concrete jungle that’s one of a kind, but judging by the photos, it looks like it’s headed in the right direction, and it definitely deserves to be named “The Big Durian.”

Seoul South Korea: A Modern Mega-City Rich with Color.
Seoul, the capital of South Korea, has been developing at a rapid rate since 1950 with no signs of losing speed. This is right in line with its mothering country, as South Korea itself had also been developing rapidly. Seoul,
however, remains a marvelous wonder of urbanization and rapid growth.

image.png

Just the architecture alone in Seoul is enough to draw this conclusion! And if you’re not convinced by the photos, Seoul is known as a large, industrial city, and an attractive destination for businesses and businessmen. South Korea is known for its drastic change – what was once one of the poorest counties in the world is now an economic center.

Hong Kong, Asia’s World City, Flourishes in the 1960s.
Hong Kong has been referred to as the Fragrant Harbor, most known for towering skyscrapers. This city is so huge that the Hong Kong National Airport covers the same ground as about 20 American football fields (and that’s the airport alone! Can you imagine?).

image.png

Hong Kong is actually Asia’s business capital; with a well-established international financial market, it attracts tourists and investors from all over the world, thus earning the nickname: “Asia’s World City”. What has partly allowed for the impressive development of Hong Kong is its position over a large, deep water port, which allowed for international trade.

A Glimpse into the Future Through the Eyes of Singapore’s Advanced Cities
Over the years, Singapore has become known not only as a great and technologically advanced city, but one of the most advanced in the world.
Rich with some of the fastest internet connection speeds, cleaner than almost every country in the world, and boasting high-tech urban planning, Singapore is rapidly transforming into a vision of the future.

image.png

The photos clearly demonstrate the drastic change the city has seen in only
two decades. In 2017, the population of the city reached 5.80 million. What most people don’t know is that Singapore is not only technologically and economically developed, but it’s also considered the 8th safest place in the world to live.

The City of Shenzhen, China – a Metropolis Overflowing With Skyscrapers
In 1979, the city of Shenzhen, China, had no name – a far cry from the current metropolis it has become. Back in the day, the city of Shenzhen in China was simply a small little town in the mountains, as the first photo shows. Rapid economic development is to thank for their immense transformation.

image.png

Shenzhen, China is currently ranked number 9 for having one of the
most competitive financial centers on the planet, with large shopping and entertainment centers. Fun fact: Shenzhen is also home to the billionaires, being ranked number 5 in that department.

Cricket Field Turned Public Landmark in Malaysia.
.The symbol of Malaysia’s Independence as a nation’s heart is in Merdeka Square, Kuala Lumpur, which can be translated to English as ‘Independence Square’. The Malaysian flag was hoisted high in the square back in 1957, making it tradition that the annual Merdeka Parade would be held here for years to come.

image.png

Between the skyscrapers that have taken over the city in recent years, the Independence Square is considered the beating heart of the capital city. However, the square has since been gifted to Malaysia’s cricket team to be
used as their home field. This is only open to the general public.

Australian City, Sydney Named Emerald City
Australia’s largest city, Sydney, home to the Sydney Harbor Bridge and Sydney Opera House, was always known as a modern architectural wonder. However, Sydney has actually become the most known for its fun, easy-going lifestyle.  There’s merit to that when you consider the rich variety of foods and culinary experiences, handfuls of beaches, and a flashy nightlife scene it has to offer.

image.png

Of course, on top of all those luxuries, you might also encounter a hundred different species of spiders and other giant crawlers and reptiles, so it’s not all golden in the Emerald City. Yet, a lot has changed in the city over the past decades, and Sidney, Australia is definitely a place worth visiting.

Paris, France: The Romantic City of Lights in All of its Radiant Glory
Word on the streets is that Paris is by far the most romantic city in the entire world. Even the passing of time cannot take that away from Paris, considering the city’s reputation as a home for the lovesick. It’s a picturesque city made for affectionate lovers and has kept that reputation for generations.

image.png

It might be the culture – the French are known for showing affection in public – the food, the drinks, the music, the views, or all of them combined. Whatever it is, Paris is known as the ideal destination for a romantic getaway. In the photos above, you can see the transformation of this beautiful city over the past few decades.

Paris, France Undergoes Huge Transformation to Seine Riverfront.
The Seine River is one of the longest rivers in France, and has been the inspiration for many impressionist paintings. These images depict an ecological wonder that’s completely unexpected. Traditional Parisian buildings are absolutely beautiful, as are the archways, which have now been replaced with a greener alternative. Although it was undoubtedly for the better, it’s difficult not to miss the breathtaking architecture which once inhabited the space.

image.png

In these photos, we see a different process: rather than adorning the landscape with additional buildings, we see the opposite process here – ancient buildings and structures have been taken down and replaced with trees and greenery.

London – A Journey Through Time
100 Years of Continued Growth for Already Larger-Than-Life City of London.
London has historically been famous for its slow-moving approach to change.
Everything has always been done gradually and slowly over time in the English capital.  Despite their slow, gradual change, you can see the difference between these two photos and it’s absolutely amazing.

image.png

London was huge in the 1920s, and continues to grow! Mostly, you can see
the additional buildings and skyscrapers and other structures. today, London is known for its diversity in population, and as a place that has something to offer to anyone.

Athens, Greece: City Expands and Lights Up.
Athens is an important cultural and historical center. It is said that Athens, Greece was where Democracy was born. From a cultural standpoint, Athens
is arguably the most important city in the history of modern society and the world as we know it. The city has laid the groundwork for how societies operate.

image.png

The city has somehow managed to stay true to its original traditions, while simultaneously modernizing its character, experiencing growth, and adorning itself with twinkling lights. It offers its tourists a taste of ancient monuments, art, and museums, while still maintaining a status of a modernized city.

Brightly Colored Polish City: An Aerial View of Poznan
In the previous photo we’ve talked about European cities preserving their culture and architecture rather than branching out and expanding, and here
we have a Polish city that’s developed quite a lot since the late seventies.
We can appreciate the beauty of preserving an old city, but we can also appreciate development and growth.

image.png

At first glance, with the exception of a few apartment developments, Poznan, Poland almost looked like a complete ghost town back in 1977. Over the years, however, Poznan has flourished into a considerably different city, vibrant with decorated buildings in every color under the sun.

Stylish European Street Was Once an Abandoned Pathway in Poland
Pictured is a Polish city street that helps show the transformations our world has undergone for the past two centuries. These photos are incredible, they show us the memory of an empty dirt road that is currently overflowing with shops, restaurants, pharmacies, inner-city-train-tracks, and cars.

image.png

It’s not really that much of a surprise; we know the world has changed drastically over the past two centuries, and mostly, change is a welcomed, positive thing. From history books and testimonies, we have a pretty good
idea of just how much life has changed over the last two centuries, and yet seeing it is different than hearing about it.

Rysstad, Norway: Consistently Transforming for Over a Century
Mega-cities aren’t the only ones where major change occurs over time.  Sometimes, changes are the most noticeable after they’ve happened
on a more personal level.  These two photos of Rysstad, a small Nordic
village, show changes over time on a smaller scale.

image.png

You can see newer, more modern buildings replacing the old, asphalt replacing dirt roads, and cars replacing carriages. These may seem like small changes compared to some of the developed cities we’ve seen on the list, but these are in fact dramatic changes that took place. Seeing these photos is like seeing the changes of the times firsthand.

LED Lights Shine Brighter Than Ever in Milan, Italy After Recent Switch
Aerial photos of the city of Milan are a great depiction of what can happen when cities replace their traditional street lights with more modern LED lighting. Milan’s city center previously presented a bronze, gold glow, but
with the recent switch to LED lighting it is now glowing a marble white.
These photographs are an interesting representation of just how bright our cities have gotten over time.

image.png

It’s incredible to see how much of a difference a different lighting method can make. From a satellite view, the city of Milan truly looks impressive with those new LED lights. We can’t help but wonder if the difference is noticeable on the streets of Milan.

Cultural Masterpiece Rio De Janeiro Becomes a World Heritage Site.
These photos depict Rio De Janeiro, a place so beautiful that a part of it was chosen to be designated honorably as a World Heritage site. This coveted title is reserved exclusively for locations of exceptional value to humanity. This city has flourished over the past century and is, in a word, amazing.

image.png

What makes this title even more unique is that the city is the first and only urban cultural landscape named a World Heritage by UNESCO. As you can
see in the photos, Rio De Janeiro combines a beautiful landscape & natural elements with urban settings – where culture and urbanization meet nature without ruining it.

Toronto: Home to Canada’s Most Beautifully Lit Skyscrapers
Canada’s city of Toronto is definitely an interesting place to visit.
It is a melting pot, rich with contrasting cultures and its residents speak over 180 different languages or dialects. However, Toronto has also sort of shaped its own subcultural landscape, making it a highly inspiring, influential place. Musical artists such as The Weekend and Drake have both given testimony to Toronto’s unique charm as a huge influence on their music.
image.png

Canadians have a reputation for being overly sweet and forgiving people, and unsurprisingly, Toronto is considered the safest city in North America, and the 6th safest city in the world! However, it isn’t considered the friendliest city in Canada – that title is reserved for Vancouver. Other than that, Toronto is known as the most diverse city in Canada.

Hyper-Modern Sensation Dubai Transformed from Humble Beginnings in under 20 Years. Most people are aware that Dubai is one of the most rapidly developing cities in the entire world. Nonetheless, this collection of photos makes that well kept secret undeniable. In the short span of just under two decades, the city of Dubai transformed from a tiny little quaint beach city to a bustling concrete jungle. Those who have witnessed it say it’s a true wonder to behold.

image.png

Today, Dubai is famously known as a concrete jungle and a lively business center. With a growing economy and famously large shopping centers, Dubai attracts many tourists and businessmen alike each year. These photos clearly illustrate the change the city has seen in under two decades.

The Astonishing Metamorphosis of World

I’m only afraid not to lose myself someday knowing very well.

I can lose anybody else at any time.. Born like a Wolf faceWolf faceWolf face

Destructive Eruption at Washington’s Mount Saint Helens

Mount Saint Helens volcano erupted in 1980 and was a natural catastrophe said to be one of the most destructive catastrophes to ever occur in United States History. This eruption was known for its incomprehensible damage, leaving Washington state demolished to ashes for thousands of miles and costing the U.S. 3.4 billion dollars in property damage.

image.png

This is what it looked like before and after the eruption, which is considered one of the most destructive volcanic events in U.S. history, both environmentally and economically. Following the eruption, the mountain was left 1,300 feet lower.

Lake Lonar of India Turned Rose Red in Just 3 Days

A meteorite penetrated our Earth’s atmosphere about 50,000 years ago, blowing a gaping hole and lighting the sky up in the area we know today as India. Lake Lonar was created as a result of this natural disaster. Still, this doesn’t explain why the lake unexpectedly turned rose red, all in just a 2-3 day span this past June.

 image.png

This otherworldly incident has been attributed by scientists as a proliferation of algae and microscopic life in the body of water. This phenomenon isn’t unique to Lake Lonar. Around the world, and even in the U.S., you can find pink lakes – where the water has turned a shade of pink due to the algae and microscopic finds in the water.

Lake Urmia Turns Back to Green from Crimson Red

The mystifying transformation of Lake Urmia, Iran, is so unique that it doesn’t actually seem natural. On the contrary, this change in color is actually completely normal.  It is caused by a specific combination of bacteria and algae which turns the water from green to red and back again. This whacky occurrence typically happens once the heat of summer and dryness cause evaporation, which increases the lake’s saltiness.

image.png

This is similar to the phenomenon we’ve seen with Lake Lonar of India, but it’s always amazing to see these changes from a different angle. This year, it has been reported the lake looks particularly red, probably due to the increasing levels of salinity in the water.

Victoria Falls Changes According to the Seasons

Zimbabwe and Zambia are home to a cascading border full of rapids from some of the largest waterfalls on the planet – we call it Victoria Falls. Climate change is only partly who’s to blame because nowadays the famous Victoria Falls is completely dry during the summer. Water levels are changing daily based on weather conditions.

image.png

During the dry season, the levels of water are significantly lower. However, it’s expected that the falls will be replenished during the rainy season. If this happens, it will be symbolic of drastic changes taking a hold of our planet. Although scientists don’t blame climate change for the constant changes of the Victoria Falls water levels, climate changes can be seen around the world, with wildfires raging, to glaciers melting and waterfalls drying.

Colorado’s Animas River translates as “river of lost souls.” The river endured a mine waste spill in 2015.

As a result of the mishandling of the Gold King Mine which was inactive. This caused the Animas River to turn a muddy, cloudy yellow and any aquatic life in it had completely vanished.

image.png

Since the mine waste was accidentally spilled into the river, it has been closed to the public.

The Colorado River System is thankfully made up of many waterways. As a result, it has been showing signs of recovery.

Paris: Notre Dame Cathedral Suffers Severe Fire Damage in 2019

Notre Dame de Paris nearly translates to “Our Lady of Paris”; the cathedral is one of the most well-known symbols of the great city of Paris. There are many reasons behind the cathedral’s cultural significance. It is considered one of the best examples in the world of French Gothic architecture; it’s an old corner-stone of Paris, and last but not least, it is culturally important thanks to Victor Hugo’s novel The Hunchback of Notre-Dame (1831).

image.png

Witnesses, locals and tourists alike, were heartbroken to see it engulfed by flames in 2019. You might even remember the tragic fire from the news. The damage from the fire was severe, but that didn’t stop the government of France. Paris anticipates a complete repair of the Notre Dame Cathedral in time for the 2024 Olympics which will be held in the city.

Greenland’s Ice Sheet glaciers melting earlier and faster

Spring and summer heat pokes holes in the Greenland Ice Sheet every year with rivers and lakes. However, in 2016, the ice started melting extremely early. This contributed to further melting and incited a vicious melting cycle. These photos indicate the changes in our Earth’s weather conditions and help us to explain what could be next.

 image.png

Temperature is rising, causing the ice to melt and creating more and more lakes on the Greenland ice sheet. If you happen to watch Planet Earth (or any other nature show production, for that matter), you probably know these changes don’t only affect us, but first and foremost polar bears and other animals living in those areas.

Florida Everglades Torn up in 2017 by Hurricane Irma

The famous Florida Everglades is the home for hundreds of animal species, including endangered turtles, manatees, panthers, and of course, alligators. The national park comprises an ecosystem unlike any other in the world. The Everglades range over 1.5 million acres, and it constitutes the largest wilderness east of the Mississippi River. Hurricane Irma: Impacts on Florida Wildlife & Habitat • (nwf.org)

image.png

Pictured is the blatant contrast between Florida’s breathtaking Everglades national park before they were hit as well as the aftermath of Hurricane Irma in September of 2017. Looking at these photos goes to show just how strong Mother Nature can truly be. Four years later, after experiencing extreme heat waves and cold waves, we all know what nature is capable of.

Comparison of the Pedersen Glacier in Alaska in 1940 and 2005

The Pedersen Glacier’s icy landscape has broken down quite a bit over the last 75 years, leaving a bunch of vibrant green fields. Even though the result of this melt is still beautiful, the pace at which these glaciers in Alaska are melting is actually quite alarming. The receding glacier exposed the Pedersen Spit and Pedersen Lagoon.image.png

The Pedersen Lagoon operates a wildlife sanctuary, meant to protect the wildlife of the area. We tend to think about how climate changes might affect our lives on the planet, and sometimes overlook the helpless animals that are drastically affected by these changes. Luckily, there are many people who care about them and do everything in their power to protect them.

Nasa Satellite Photo Comparison from 1970 to 2016

The satellite photo comparison shows Arctic Sea ice shrinking to record lows. Though the ice in the Arctic Ocean, the coldest of all the five oceans of the world, routinely shrinks during the summer only to increase during the winter, these satellite photographs showcase just how much things have changed in Earth’s climate.

image.png

The top photo shows the Arctic in the summer of 1984, a year in which the ice decline was roughly considered to be standard. The bottom photo displays the Arctic ice shrinkage in 2016. The contrast between the photos is unmistakable, yet also unbelievable.

Aral Sea in Central Asia Was Once the Fourth-Largest Lake on the Planet

The Aral Sea, formerly a great lake, has shrunken as a result of more organic, long term processes coupled with the Soviet Union tweaking the landscape in the 1960s. The dry conditions caused the southernmost area of this Asian sea to completely dehydrate.

image.png

The lack of such a large body of water had actually caused the region’s weather to become more extreme. This meant that winters had gotten colder while summers had become much more hot and very dry.

Wildfires near Ashland, Kansas Completely Singed the Earth in 2017

Taking a look at the two photos below, you’ll notice birds-eye views of a small area on the outskirts of Ashland, Kansas. These photos were taken before and after a devastating wildfire. This particular fire was part of a cluster of four huge fires in Kansas and Oklahoma that had spread for approximately 780 thousand acres.

image.png

It goes without saying the amount of destruction endured by this city was devastating.  Parts of Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas were affected by these wildfires, which, in hindsight, were no big surprise. Apparently, the area at the time had the perfect weather conditions for a wildfire to spread.

Alaska’s Muir Glacier Melted into a Colorful, Vibrant River

The famous Muir Glacier was named after the naturalist John Muir, who explored the area, wrote about it, and raised awareness of it. It has previously been known as the most famous of the tidewater glaciers. These comparison photos from 1941 to now demonstrate the change in Alaska’s Muir Glacier over the past five decades and just how much it has retreated.

image.png

Sometimes, change can be beautiful at first sight, but when looked at a little closer, it can actually be pretty alarming. The photos you see here are conveying drastic changes that have completely taken hold of Alaska’s Muir Glacier. The glacier has been consistently thinning over the last 70 years and although it’s a beautiful sight to see, the detriment is pretty substantial.

The Statue of Liberty Turns Green

The statue of liberty doesn’t require any introduction, right? It’s one of the most famous landmarks in the U.S., and in the world. Tourists visiting the Statue of Liberty might think its color has always been green. However, the photo on the left presents the original color of the statue, which was a shade of reddish-brown.

image.png

Why did the Statue of Liberty turn green?

Originally, the statue’s copper covering provided it with the reddish-brown color you see on the left image. With time, it has gradually turned to the iconic shade of green-blue we’re all familiar with today. The reasons why the statue has changed its color throughout the years have to do mostly with the weather and environmental conditions. The statue was unveiled in 1886, and experts say that by 1920, its color had already changed.

Walker Lake, Nevada Springs Down from 1988 to 2017

Nearly 10,000 years ago, Western Nevada was covered by an inland sea. Walker Lake is one of the last remnants that remain from this ancient sea. Since the area became populated and due to agricultural processes, the level of the lake steadily drops. Like many of the changes on the list, this is something that’s mostly visible through a satellite photo.

image.png

Walker Lake is missing about ninety percent of its original volume since settlements became established along the basin of the lake, approximately a century ago. As a result, you can see in these photos just how much it has actually shrunken since then. It’s truly astonishing.

Glacier in Northwestern Alaska Melts into a Large Lake

Pictured first is the Northwestern Glacier and its beautiful rock-filled shoreline, coated in a fresh blanket of snow. The spiky, tall icebergs hide the ocean floor that flows underneath them. The second photo shows that any remnant of a glacier is pretty much gone, turned into a large lake.

image.png

This Alaskan Glacier has shrunken about 6 miles down, completely out of the field of view now. We keep hearing about climate change and glaciers melting, but they say a picture is worth a thousand words, and hearing about it is significantly different than seeing the massive change that took place over time.

The French Mont-Saint-Michel high – low tide Continues to Span Generations

A commune in France, Le-Mont-Saint-Michel is made up of an astonishing population of only 30 people, resting peacefully on a small, tidal island approximately 0.6 miles off of the north-western coast of the country. In case the number of actual residents gives it away, this island isn’t a residential area as much as a tourist attraction.

image.png

An ongoing architecture project, a stunning castle was built on the island; it took over 1,000 years and with the hands of a number of different cultures and nations participating in its build.

Move it or Lose it.

A healthy lymphatic system keeping your body in optimal condition is a crucial component of your immune system.

lymphatic system 01 - Beat Cancer Blog
A dysfunctional lymph system makes you weaker, more vulnerable to disease, and even increases your risk for cancer. There are many steps you can take to improve your lymphatic function. Before we delve deeper into those things you can do for great lymph function, let’s learn a bit more about the lymph system.

Exactly what is the Lymphatic System?

The lymphatic system is like a freeway with multiple stops, and lymph’s composition constantly changes depending on where it is on that freeway. When blood circulates, most of it flows back to the heart, but not all of it.
Some stay behind in the intestines and become interstitial fluid.
Once it is reabsorbed into the lymph nodes, it is called lymph or lymph fluid.
When lymph stops by the spleen, it flushes out bacteria that have been marked as dangerous by the immune system.
When lymph travels to your bone marrow, it picks up immune cells called lymphocytes and transports them to your blood to fight infections. At the end of this process, lymph is reintroduced into the bloodstream. Some of the blood plasma will become intestinal fluid, which is then reabsorbed into lymph nodes, and the process begins again.

The Benefits of a Healthy Lymphatic System:

There are many benefits of a strong lymphatic system. They include:
A stronger immune system – The lymphatic system keeps you healthy by increasing your supply of T-Cells and B-Cells. These cells mark and destroy foreign bodies, which might otherwise cause infection.
Lower risk of cancer –T-cells also prevent cancer, and they do this by kicking off the process of programmed cell death, or apoptosis.
All cells have a set time in which they are programmed to die. Cells that refuse to die can multiply out of control and become cancerous. T-cells tell old cells to die to keep them under control so that new cells can take their place.
Healthier blood – Healthy blood means healthy cells. Foreign bodies allowed to use the freeway of your circulatory system can make you very sick, very quickly. One of the functions of the lymphatic system is to catch these toxins, bacteria and viruses before they have a chance to circulate in your blood. Lymph vessels carry 75% of our cellular waste products. Old blood cells are also disposed of in the lymphatic system, increasing the oxygen density in your blood and making sure only healthy blood cells are allowed to circulate.
Balanced bodily fluids – The lymphatic system is responsible for resupplying our circulatory system with plasma, which would otherwise seep into tissues and throw off your body’s balance of fluids.
The 4 humors of Hippocratic medicine are black bile (Greek: μέλαινα χολή, melaina chole), yellow  bile(Greek: ξανθη χολή, xanthe chole), phlegm (Greek: φλέγμα, phlegma), and blood (Greek: αἷμα, haima). Each corresponds to one of the traditional four temperaments.   4 humors bile – Bing video
The lymphatic system can be bogged down or clogged, such as when your lymph nodes become swollen or infected. To keep your lymphatic system healthy, we have to help it along, and there are many ways to do just that.

How to Maintain a Healthy Lymphatic System.
To promote healthy lymphatic system function, consider the following
suggestions for a proper diet and other healthful habits:

Six Ways to Stimulate Your Lymphatic System.
Author:  Leonard Parker.

Avoid cow dairy, gluten, sugar and other processed foods – These food choices clog the flow of your lymphatic system and can lead to congestion. Regulate your consumption of these foods to prevent problems.
Load up on leafy greens, herbs, fruits, and other plant foods – A diet rich in fibers eases intestinal flow and movement. This makes it easier for intestinal fluid to move to your lymph nodes and transition into lymph fluid.
Hydrate regularly – Drink at least six glasses of water every day, the actual amount depending on your body size. Insufficient fluid intake makes lymphatic flow sluggish, which will make you feel sluggish and weak.
Massage and/or stimulate the skin – Many lymph nodes are found just below the surface of the skin. Many massage spas offer lymphatic massages, but even gentle skin brushing or rubbing of nodes like the ones below your jaw will go a long way.
Reduce stress – Stress can cause stasis (stagnation) or sluggish lymph flow. There are many relaxation techniques. One of the best stress management tools, exercise, is also essential for a healthy lymphatic system.
Perform jumping exercises – Lymph flows from destination to destination through a combination of internal and external pressure. Also, unlike the circulatory system, its flow is generally upward towards the neck, meaning it always has to fight gravity. Get the lymph pumping by doing jumping jacks or using a jump rope. If you are able to jump on a trampoline, or rebounder, that’s even better.

The Bottom Line:

Rebounding for Lymphatic Health - Infographic - Beat Cancer Blog
For a long time, attention to the lymphatic system has played second fiddle to the circulatory system, when the truth is a healthy lymphatic system is just as vital to your health. As mentioned above, you can improve your lymph function by observing a healthy diet and with regular exercise. If you are interested in learning more about the exercise component, BeatCancer.org recommends this free eBook from Rebounder Zone that goes into detail on how rebounding can help improve your lymphatic health.

This is a summary of the growth of Taoism.

This is extremely relevant to my topic and will be an important source.

Natural endorphins make the world go round. Move it or lose it.

“There is a direct correlation between physical exertion and mental relief.”
Yes. I highly recommend tai chi if I may. It’s like meditating and swimming without a pool, and you can practice it until the day you die.
I’m indebted to it. It’s accessible enough. You can emphasize the self defense aspect if you choose, but I’ve seen many older people take it up after knee or hip replacements just to keep moving. Like you said, move it or lose it. : )

Well, there are degrees of difficulty. I suspect you’d be fine.
My teacher was an older Chinese man (Mant Prowg). His ability to function so well in life was part of the allure. A holistic view means that we are interested in engaging and developing the whole person. You can think of this as different levels, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. It ‘s the concept that the human being is multi-dimensional.

We have conscious and unconscious aspects, rational and irrational aspects.
Being a Tai Chi teacher the question of which diet is healthier, one including meat or one excluding meat i.e. a vegetarian diet has led me to research the subject. My findings were surprising.
The word vegetarian is not derived from vegetables as most people think, but from the Latin word vegus which means “full of life”. Some of the world ‘s greatest thinkers eschewed meat, among them: Leonardo Da Vinci, Sir Issac Newton, St. Francis of Assisi and Albert Einstein who said: “It is my view that the vegetarian manner of living, by its purely physical effect on the human temperament would most beneficially influence the lot of mankind.”

Pythagoras, who is generally given credit for its inception, praised vegetarianism – for its hygienic nature and the kinship it fostered between man and the animals. In the past most Doctors, nutritionists and those responsible for health education, have in the main stated that a diet which contained no meat, could not be a healthy diet because this kind of diet would be lacking in certain minerals and vitamins, especially the B group of vitamins.
In recent years the trend towards eating less meat has increased because the technology that has so successfully increased meat production is an unnatural method. The use of chemicals and the unnatural living conditions the animals are kept in, which in many cases are appalling, are designed to force growth. People are now becoming increasingly concerned about their intake of chemicals and fat via the Standard American Diet.

Living Peace – What is Yoga?

Yoga Firstly, let me get all the Yoga clichés out in this first paragraph….
Yoga means “Union” and it brings body, mind and spirit back into alignment. Yoga is so much more than just physical postures (asana) – it is a practice that uses the body and breath to return peace & equanimity to the mind, and bring you closer to your true divine nature. The philosophy and techniques of yoga are taught on the mat, but then are used off the mat out in the big wide world.
For example, noticing that you are competitive in class or have a tendency to push yourself too hard brings the realization that if you are doing that in a yoga class, then you are more than likely also doing it in your daily life. Yoga brings awarenessYoga is not a religion, however it can enhance whichever faith you come from. Even if you don’t believe in God, it can help you be happier and live a more fulfilling life by teaching you to be more present and open hearted.
You do not have to be flexible, young, fit, strong or disease/illness-free to do Yoga. It is suitable for ALL people as each pose (asana) can be adjusted to suit your body’s needs. Now that that’s out of the way, let me tell you what Yoga means to me. Over the years I have studied with many wonderful yoga teachers (Simon Borg-Olivier, Mark Breadner, Saul David Raye, John Ogilvie, Yoga With Adriene just to name a few), and have dived into various different styles such as Synergy, Iyengar, Kundalini, Ashtanga, Viniyoga and Vinyasa. I have also enjoyed studying various faiths and traditions such as teachings from Ram Dass, Buddhism, energy healing (Ignite Your Spirit), Hinduism, Sikhism, Christian Music Playlist & Mercy Me Songs.

Tai Chi is a major branch of Chinese martial arts that is primarily practiced for its health benefits, including tension and stress, relaxation and as a form of self-defense.
The name Tai Chi comes from the Chinese words meaning “great ultimate.”
It is also known as Tai Chi Chuan meaning, “great ultimate fist.”
Among martial arts, there are two basic types, one is called hard martial arts and the other one is soft martial arts. Hard martial arts are like karate and martial arts. The soft martial arts are BaGua and Tai Chi.

Simplified Tai Chi Chuan With Applications (YMAA) for Beginners.
The study of Tai Chi Chuan is unique in the sense that it marks the historical event of many centuries of Taoist study known as Chi Kung (“excellence of Energy”). People who practice tai chi believe that it can promote physical health because it enhances the flow of qi.
As being both healing art and martial art, Tai Chi is based on the internal condition of the study, which is the main point.
This shows that the true focus of the study is not only, nor even mainly, on the physical level, but places the importance of the practice more on the mental and energetic levels. The mental part is really the most important because the number one condition that limits an individual from achieving excellence in anything, including his or her own health, is a state that traditional Chinese medicine refers to as being “weak-minded”.

This “weak-minded” state shows that the person is easily confused or distracted.
So the first quality to be developed in Tai Chi is the strengthening of one’s concentration,
or better known to martial artists as being centered. So basically to sum up this paragraph, Tai Chi was created as a form of mediation and mental exercise in which students learn to center and focus their mental powers.
The skill and purpose of centering the mind is to keep the mind interested and involved in what’s happening at the present moment. This is understood to be the substructure of Tai Chi because from this state of attention comes the likelihood to change, correct, and heal. To promote this process, Tai Chi uses a physical location, the lower abdomen, which is called the Tan Tien in Chinese.
Meditation can destroy the stress accumulated during the day and bring you inner peace. Now we’ll show you how easy it is to learn to meditate when you need it most. If you stress seems anxious, tense and worried, consider that you start to meditate. Just a few minutes of meditation during the day can soothe and reduce stress levels. Anyone can practice meditation. It’s easy and cheap and does not require any special equipment.
You can meditate wherever you are – whether you walk, take the bus, wait for the doctor, or even in the middle of a busy business meeting.

Understanding of meditation.

Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years. When he emerged, meditation was supposed to help better understand the sacred and mystical forces.
They can vary depending on what type of meditation you choose or guides that teach you meditation.

The most common features of meditation include:
Focusing – focusing attention is generally one of the most important elements of meditation. It helps to free the mind from thoughts that you turn away from meditation and cause only stress and worry. Concentrate on one particular object, image, or mantra only on your breathing.
Relaxed breathing – a technique that involves deep, even breathing by straining the diaphragm to expand the lungs. The purpose is to slow down breathing, inhale more oxygen and relax your shoulders, neck and upper chest while breathing, so practically more efficient breathing.
Quiet environment – if you are a beginner, meditation will be easier if you are in a quiet place, where no one and nothing will disturb you, including off the TV, radio and mobile phone. Journaling or Blogging are great forms and as you become more adept at meditation, you can do that anywhere, especially in very stressful situations, where meditation is most used, for example, while waiting in a long line or in a traffic jam.

Freedom is Never Free

For Chinese diplomats, attack remains the best form of defense.

If you haven’t read agenda 21 or 2030 you probably haven’t fit all this mess together. Governments pushing for federalization and then globalization;
of health care, Internet, pipelines, electricity, water, and police… Abortion, homosexuality.

It’s more than just Depopulation.

Faced with a rising barrage of international condemnation over its alleged abuses in Xinjiang, China appears intent on returning fire, calling on Western nations to acknowledge their own complicated human rights records before criticizing Beijing.

On Tuesday, China urged the United Nations Human Rights Council to carry out a “thorough and impartial investigation” into Canada’s treatment of its Indigenous people, after the remains of hundreds of children were found in unmarked graves at two former residential schools in British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
“Simply apologizing is not enough, and Canada must take actual actions

to correct its mistakes,” said Jiang Duan, minister of the Chinese mission
to the UN in Geneva. His comments have been accompanied by a concerted campaign in Chinese state media, including provocative social media comments by Hu Xijin, the editor of state-run nationalist tabloid Global Times, who over the weekend posted a cartoon of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sitting on a pile of skulls. The caption read, “We stole your land, we killed your men, we buried your child.

Let’s reconcile.”
Beijing’s calls for a UN investigation come as Ottawa joined 44 countries in urging China to allow independent observers full and unfettered access to Xinjiang — a heavily surveilled and policed region in the west of the country — to investigate allegations of widespread abuses, including imprisonment of up to 1 million citizens from Muslim minorities in a vast system of detention centers. And Canada isn’t the first Western country to be targeted by Beijing in this way. Over the past six months, China has repeatedly attacked Australia’s ongoing mistreatment of its Indigenous population and highlighted allegations of war crimes by Australian soldiers in Afghanistan.
Both Canada and Australia have far from spotless human rights records, especially when it comes to treatment of their Indigenous peoples. By talking publicly about these injustices, the Chinese government believes it is exposing Western hypocrisy on human rights. Experts, however, say Beijing also risks exposing its own. After all, the only way we know about many of the abuses highlighted by Chinese officials is due to transparent — and oftentimes, ongoing — public debates and investigations carried out within those countries.

In comparison, Chinese officials remain unwilling to even acknowledge the potential for alleged abuses within China, let alone historic crimes

carried out by the Communist Party throughout the 20th century. Responding to China’s repeated calls for an investigation into Canada’s treatment of Indigenous women and children, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau asked why Beijing hasn’t yet taken responsibility
 for its own abuses.
“Where is the openness that Canada has always shown and the responsibility that Canada has taken for the terrible mistakes of the past?”
Trudeau said at a news conference in Ottawa on June 22.
By calling for more scrutiny of human rights abuses, at the exact time it is dragging out negotiations on a visit to Xinjiang by independent observers, former Canadian Ambassador to Beijing Guy Saint-Jacques said Canada and Australia should call China’s bluff. “If China is calling for the United Nations to investigate the situation in Canada, then I would say it should agree to also have an investigation to look at the situation in Xinjiang,” he said.

But Natasha Kassam, a former Australian diplomat in China and director of the Public Opinion and Foreign Policy Program at Sydney’s Lowy Institute, said the Chinese government’s tactics weren’t necessarily targeted exclusively at the West.
Kassam said while citizens in the United States, Canada and Australia might dismiss China’s criticisms of their human rights records, it might resonate with an audience in the developing world who might one day choose between the US and China. “The Australian and American militaries have very complicated histories in, for example, the Middle East, in a way which most people wouldn’t see China as having had,” she said.

It’s not Right vs. Left, Republican vs. Democrat, or Conservative

versus. Liberal at this point.

It’s Good vs. Evil – period.

The Biden administration shifts $860 Million to house illegal alien children. Those were COVID Stimulus funds that he’s diverting to illegals. Yeah, fuck our kids & our families, we gotta take care of future democrat voters who never paid taxes here. You know, because that makes so much sense.
That’s what they want / so we don’t care about our own countries or each other! If we all used our brains and realized the enemy is not each other but our government.

Democrats & Republicans / left vs. right / there are more of us than them.

If everybody in our country gets together and takes our country back.
But I think people ARE more concerned about losing followers on Twitter than losing our own country / I plead guilty also ! We’re being kept busy / brainwashed / cleverly divided by DA time we wake it’ll be too late !
I’m probably too focused and I see what’s coming.
All I can do is prepare and hope people get the message.

Black Lives Matter Utah chapter calls American flag ‘symbol of hatred’
By Michael Ruiz

In a fiery Fourth of July Facebook post, Utah’s Black Lives Matter Chapter declared the American flag “a symbol of hatred.” “When we Black Americans see this flag we know the person flying it is not safe to be around,” the post reads. “When we see this flag we know the person flying it is a racist. When we see this flag we know that the person flying it lives in a different America than we do.

When we see this flag, we question your intelligence. We know to avoid you.

It is a symbol of hatred.”

Chapter founder Lex Scott confirmed to Fox News Wednesday that her group had made the post to highlight how hate groups can allegedly “co-opt” the American flag without prompting similar blowback.
“Ever since we put up the post, our page has been flooded with hatred from people who fly the flag,” she said. “And we want to thank those people for proving our point.”

Sen. Cotton slams NYT for suggesting the American flag is divisive.

When asked how she would respond to people who say the American flag

is for all Americans, she said that those who are offended by her group’s statement should take it up with hate groups like the Ku Klux Klan,
which she said proudly wave Old Glory at their rallies.
“I would ask those people if they ever showed outrage when the Ku Klux Klan marched down the street holding that flag, if they ever showed outrage last week when Patriot Front, a White supremacist group, was marching through Philadelphia holding that flag, if they feel outraged that the Three Percenters have co-opted their flag, that the Proud Boys have co-opted their flag,” she said. “If they have never shown outrage when hate groups use their symbol for hatred, then they need to not come to us – they need to go directly to those groups. When you allow a hate group to fly that flag in the name of hatred, and you say nothing, and you do nothing, you send a message to us that you agree with their messaging. You agree with that hate, and you condone it.”

Philadelphia media reported Monday that the Patriot Front marchers,

none of whom were from the city, retreated from their demonstration
after clashes with local residents.

BLM INFIGHTING REACHES A BOILING POINT AS MEMBERS DEMAND ‘ACCOUNTABILITY’

“They started engaging with citizens of Philadelphia, who were none too happy about what they were saying,” Philadelphia Police Officer Michael Crum told the city’s ABC affiliate WPVI. “These males felt threatened, and,

at one point, somebody in their crowd threw a type of smoke bomb to cover their retreat, and they literally ran away from the people of Philadelphia.”
A lengthy follow-up post on the BLM Utah chapter’s Facebook page, which Scott said she had written, goes into the group’s argument in greater detail.
People who care about the flag should defend it not just from her criticism, but also from hate groups that try to take advantage of it, she argued.
“I want you to walk in my shoes for a second,” she wrote. “I want you to picture this. You show up for a protest, and hundreds of armed White men show up. They have guns, they yell racial slurs at you, they are carrying and wearing American flags.”
She said she receives hate messages via Facebook on a daily basis and many of the senders have American flags on their profiles.
“If you see that every person that hates you is carrying an American flag how would you feel about that flag?” she continued. “I feel fear. That is not up for debate. I feel like the person flying it is racist, because every racist that I have come in contact with is either wearing that flag or flying that flag.

I feel as if I should avoid that person because they may be dangerous.”

Scott has said in the past that Black Lives Matter Utah is an independent chapter and is not affiliated with the national BLM organization, and the group has promoted a pragmatic approach to criminal justice reform in

the past.
“In our chapter, we work with Republicans and Democrats for police reforms,” she said last summer. She had also appeared on “Fox News @ Night” to discuss such issues with Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah.
The group’s proposals have included officer de-escalation training rather than defunding the police.
The BLM Utah post echoes controversial remarks from New York Times  editorial board member Mara Gay, who said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”

last month that she was “disturbed” to see pickup trucks carrying the flag
in a New York City suburb.

“I was on Long Island this weekend visiting a really dear friend, and I was really disturbed” she said. “I saw dozens and dozens of pickup trucks with expletives against Joe Biden on the back of them, Trump flags, and in some cases just dozens of American flags, which is also just disturbing. Essentially the message was clear: This is my country. This is not your country. I own this.”

In idiomatic English  TPTB This acronym represents the Apostle Paul’s phrase, “the powers that be.” It is from his letter to the Romans, chapter 13, verse 1.  whose purpose was to maintain the balance of good and evil in the world. , “the powers that be” (sometimes initialized as TPTB) is a phrase used to refer to those individuals or groups who collectively hold authority over a particular domain. The word “be” is an old form of the third-person plural of the verb “to be”; the indicative equivalent, “the powers that are”, is less commonly used.

“The powers that were” (TPTW) is also another derivation that is used.

Black Families Matter

THE WELFARE STATE HAS DESTROYED THE BLACK FAMILY AND BLACK COMMUNITIES

To Truly Reduce Racial Disparities, We Must Acknowledge Black Fathers Matter

“When our parents married, there was a sense that you were marrying for life,” said Edward Zigler, founder and director of Yale’s Edward Zigler Center in Child Development and Social Policy. “That sense is not as prevalent.”
Single parents in the U.S. were more likely to be employed — 35.8 percent compared to a 21.3 percent average — but they also had higher rates of poverty, the report found.
“The in-work poverty is higher in the U.S. than other OECD countries, because at the bottom end of the labor market, earnings are very low,” said Willem Adema, a senior economist in the group’s social policy division. “For parents, the risk is higher because they have to make expenditures on childcare costs.”
The Paris-based organization looked at a broad sector of indicators that affected families and children, including childhood poverty, early education and amount of time spent on parental care.

Across the nations examined, preschool enrollment has grown from 30 to 50 percent between 1998 and 2007. The average enrollment was 58.2 percent, while in the U.S. it was lower.
The report noted that public spending on child welfare and education is higher in the U.S. than in other countries — $160,000 per child compared to $149,000. However, the authors say most of that money is spent after the crucial early childhood years.
“This means early investment — including childcare and support for families around the time of birth — could be strengthened,” the authors wrote in a separate paper examining the United States.
The study pointed out that the U.S. is the only OECD country that does not have a national paid parental leave policy. Some states have started to adopt such policies, but most parents are offered 12 weeks of unpaid leave. This is particularly difficult for unwed mothers, who may not be able to afford to take time off, Zigler said.
“We have not built in the kind of national support systems for families and children that other countries have,” he said.
Childhood poverty rates in the U.S. are also expected to climb — 23.5 percent from 20 percent. Adema said the rise is a direct result of the financial crisis and higher unemployment rates.
“The financial strain causes all sorts of other strains, so ultimately it might contribute to family dissolution,” Adema said. “At the same time, it might bring some families together. I suspect that the response differs across families.”

The only institution to which today’s black children are routinely denied is marriage. Their plight won’t improve until they receive equal access.

Katy Faust and Stacy Manning
By Katy Faust and Stacy Manning

Americans must confront the injustice of George Floyd’s death and examine issues of police use of force. We should review sentencing guidelines and revisit qualified immunity.  We must never dismiss the generational effects of slavery and Jim Crow. We must acknowledge that racism is not primarily responsible for the struggles of the black community. Fatherlessness is.

Don’t take our word for it. Here’s what black leaders have to say.
Activist and #Blexit founder Candace Owens declares,
“The biggest issue facing black America is father absence.”
Former NAACP president Kweisi Mfume, when asked if white racism or the absence of fathers posed a greater threat to black Americans, replied without hesitation, “The absence of black fathers.”
Given the devastation fatherlessness visits on black children, you would think racial justice activists would sound the alarm. Yet Black Lives Matter openly seeks to “disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family,” the only institution that, through marriage, binds children to their fathers.
The BLM core statement of belief   mentions black mothers, black families, black parents, and even black trans women. Yet nowhere does it mention black fathers, even though when black fathers have access to their children, they prove to be more involved parents than their white and Hispanic counterparts.

What Kids Need.
The three staples of children’s social and emotional diet are their mother’s love, their father’s love, and stability. When children are raised by their married parents, they have daily access to all three. These needs have nothing to do with a child’s race, and the absence of one or more of these critical staples makes children emotionally malnourished and more likely to struggle academically, suffer a host of behavioral and emotional challenges, become a teen parent, and be incarcerated. That’s why marriage is a social justice issue for children.
Today, black children face an overwhelming injustice, being denied en masse the benefits of growing up in a married home. Only 17%  of black kids make it to their high school graduation living exclusively with their married mother and father. That means 83 percent of black youth are suffering the loss of a parent or the instability of split homes. That’s an emotional starvation rate an order of magnitude greater than any other racial group.
Unsurprisingly, Minnesota, the epicenter of today’s racial unrest, is located in the region of the country with the greatest disparity in racial marriage rates. Fatherless kids are hurting kids. Tupac penned of his childhood spent without a dad,

“Had to play catch by myself, what a sorry sight.
A pitiful plight, so I pray for a starry night.
Please send me a pops before puberty —
The things I wouldn’t do to see a piece of family unity.
Not only does father absence disadvantage kids, it breaks their hearts.”

Does Racism Cause Fatherlessness?
Some recognize the problem of father absence in the black community but object, “Racism is causing fatherlessness!” If that were true, the plight of the black family would have been far worse in eras of overt racism. Instead, early 20th-century black women married at higher rates than their white counterparts.
As the nation emerged from Jim Crow, 25 percent of black children were born to unwed mothers. Today that statistic is 72 percent. Instances of racism exist today, but you would be hard-pressed to argue anti-black racism is worse now than in 1900 or 1964.
If racism were the primary problem, Nigerian Americans also would not be among the most successful immigrant groups in our country, but they are. Much of their success can be attributed to strong marriages and strong families. In Nigeria, only 4 percent of children are raised in single-parent households, compared to the overall U.S. rate of 23 percent.

Leftist Policies Feed Poverty.
Racism is not primarily responsible for the dissolution of the black family. Leftist policies are. Renowned economist Thomas Sowell explains, “The black family, which had survived centuries of slavery and discrimination, began rapidly disintegrating in the liberal welfare state that subsidized unwed pregnancy and changed welfare from an emergency rescue to a way of life.” This way of life has kept many black children stuck in cycles of generational poverty.
But because family breakdown, not racism, is overwhelmingly responsible for high rates of child poverty, the solution is found in marriage. The success sequence — 1) get at least a high school degree, 2) get a full-time job, and 3) get married before having any children — lifts 91 percent of youth out of poverty. Marriage is our greatest anti-poverty weapon.

Father Absence Increases Crime.
It’s sickeningly obvious that instances of white cops targeting and brutalizing black suspects exist, but racism isn’t the main explanation for the massive numbers of black men in prison.
Regardless of their race, children who grow up without dads, especially boys, are more likely to commit violent crime. Fathers teach children different lessons than mothers do. One of those vital lessons is teaching children to police themselves through rough-and-tumble play, straight talk, and a disciplinary style inclined toward getting kids to take responsibility for their actions.
Fathers provide their sons a role model of what a strong and self-controlled man looks like, and for daughters they model what a father and husband should be. When a father fails, or is flat-out absent, a young man is more likely to encounter his first enforced boundaries at the hands of police. Prisons could be renamed “centers for dad-deprived boys,” and black boys are dad-deprived more than any other demographic.
That’s not to say that children, black or otherwise, who grow up in a broken home are doomed. President Barack Obama is an example of a man who overcame great odds to reach the pinnacle of power and success. He also, by his own admission, suffered from the absence of his father.

Fathers Foster Academic Success.
Blaming systemic police racism for the struggles of black Americans is easier than doing the hard work of building and repairing families, but if we seek real change, our energies need to be focused on the hard work — or the home work. As senior fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution Shelby Steele notes, “You can have the police go to as many sensitivity trainings as you want, it’s not going to read a story to a child at night before he goes to sleep so he’s developing his mind … [and] serious about the academic and educational development [needed] … in order to be successful.”
Steele understands how father absence affects the racial achievement gap. While it’s true that black students are often unfairly disadvantaged by living in districts with poorly performing schools, family plays an often ignored role in school success.
Academically, black students, 65 percent of whom are being raised by single parents, struggle most in school. White students, 24 percent of whom live in single-parent homes, tend to inhabit the middle ground. Asian students, 15 percent of whom have single parents, generally occupy the top-achieving academic strata. The correlation between kids in single-parent homes and academic struggles is glaringly obvious, but it seldom factors into discussions aimed at helping black students succeed.
What happens when fathers, regardless of race, marry the mothers of their children? They raise successful students. A meta-analysis of 30 studies found student success has infinitely more to do with family than with race. The researchers concluded, “The family elements that were most strongly associated with a reduction in the achievement gap were coming from a two-biological-parent family and high levels of parental involvement.”
Even more interesting, when the study factored in the religious faith of an intact family, “The achievement gap totally disappeared” (emphasis added). When their emotional needs are met in the home of their married mother and father, black students are just as capable of academic success as kids from any other racial group.

The Institution Most Black Kids Lack Is Marriage.
The shameful time in U.S. history when blacks were excluded from the institutions of education, business, and government has passed. America’s centuries-long systematic segregation has been replaced by targeted searches for minority enrollees and employees in our nation’s most prestigious universities and businesses. African Americans have been elected to the most powerful positions in government and hold the highest offices in many of the cities currently overrun by Black Lives Matter protests.
The only institution to which today’s black children are routinely denied is marriage. Their plight won’t improve until they receive equal access to this foundational institution, which unites the two people to whom children have a natural right — their mother and father — for life.

A clip surfaced of President Joe Biden recounting an old tale about a man named “Corn Pop.” Yes, you heard me correctly. I urge you all to stick around because it tells an important story about his candidacy.

Let’s hear it now from the man himself.
To give you some background the former VP is verbalizing there a story he told in his autobiography about how in the summer of 1962 he took a job as a lifeguard in order according to the Washington Post, “Learn more about the Black community”
While he was a lifeguard he wants us to believe that a gang called “The Romans” led by a man named Corn Pop showed up at the pool. After violating the rules governing the diving board, Biden expelled Corn Pop from the pool area and was then met by an angry Corn Pop when walked back to his car.
Corn Pop was apparently rumored to always be carrying a straight razor and after the two exchanged words they apparently made up and he was protected by Corn Pop’s gang for the rest of the summer.

Now uh…Let’s leave aside whether this anecdote is true or not. I have many doubts, beginning with “Corn Pop,” but this anecdote demonstrates a strange paternalism that he tells us is evidence of how he’s been a supporter of the black community from the very beginning of race relations fights in this country.
This paternalism I don’t think reflects a personal moral failing on his part, but one that is a consequence of age.
I’ve mentioned Biden’s gaffes here before. As you can see in that clip they’ve been around for a long time. The issue isn’t the gaffes, it’s what he says in between. You see in that clip that he thinks he can win over the black community with weird dated anecdotes of being a strict lifeguard. That’s how he approaches many of these issues. His thinking is largely rooted in the 1980’s and he’s been the champion of a failed consensus that hardly anybody really wants to turn back to.

Fivethirtyeight Editor-in-chief Nate Silver, he notes in a new piece….
That voter’s don’t particularly care about Biden’s gaffes but they absolutely do care about his age. Julian Castro and others have gone after Biden’s age for what it says about his general fitness for office and while I think that discussion is legitimate, it’s one that misses the root of what we’re really talking about.
Think about it, Bernie Sanders is 79, Joe Biden is 78, Donald Trump is 75,  Elizabeth Warren is 72.
Why is it we discuss Dementia Joe Biden’s age so much in this cycle and not the others? It’s because not only does Biden bumble his words when he speaks, but his thinking and general orientation towards politics is so reminiscent of an age that has passed them by. Biden is a candidate in that he’s fundamentally not running on a transformative vision for the country.
Donald Trump’s campaign was derided as a step backwards. However, what it really was -was a break from a failed consensus to seek greatness we once had. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren’s campaigns are very similar. All of these are older candidates seeking breaks from the system and it’s why voters many years their junior are willing to give them a chance, and it’s why when we watch those clips of Joe Biden, it’s very disturbing.

The ‘Usual’ new variant

But what is the The Lambda variant and where was it first discovered?
Positive Thinking Helps!!!

A NEW coronavirus variant that experts say is “deadlier” than the Delta strain has already ripped through 30 countries.

🔵 Read our coronavirus live blog for the latest updates – Bing video

Where has it come from?
Public Health England (PHE) states there are currently eight known cases of the C.37 variant, as of June 21, 2021.

The variant is currently classed as “under investigation” and experts could then classify it as “of concern” once they have done a risk assessment.
This will depend on how transmissible the variant is and how many cases have been detected.
The Malaysian Health Authority claims the variant comes from Peru, a country with one of the highest Covid mortality rates in the world.
Also known as C.37, the Lambda strain was first detected in Peru in 2020 before quickly spreading to 30 countries, including Britain.
Of particular concern to virologists is the L452Q spike protein because of its potential to infect human cells like the L452R mutation in the highly infectious Delta variant.
Peruvian scientists noticed the variant in December 2020 when it accounted for “just one in every 200 samples”.

By March 2021, that jumped to 50 per cent of cases.
Now that figure is a whopping 82 per cent, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=0zXc5L_0ao2TF4G00Peru has one of the highest Covid death tolls in the world

Is it more infectious?
The Delta variant is the reason the lifting of restrictions was pushed back in the UK and experts have warned that the Lambda variant could be even more infectious than that.

Pablo Tsukayama, a molecular scientist at the Cayetano Heredia university in Lima said the virus’ rapid rise “would suggest its rate of transmission is higher than other variants”.
In neighbouring Chile, it accounts for almost a third of cases, though scientists are unable to say which strain is more transmissible.
Eight cases have already been reported in the UK – all of which were linked to overseas travel.

https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=2o8xtW_0ao2TF4G00
The World Health Organization classified Lambda as a global Variant of Interest on  June 14th.

WHO said it has mutations that increase transmissibility.
WHO virologist Jairo Mendez-Rico told German news outlet DW: “So far we have seen no indication that the lambda variant is more aggressive.
“It’s possible that it has a higher rate of contagion but more work needs to be done on it.”
He added: “It is likely that SARS-CoV-2 will become more transmissible throughout the course of its evolution but not necessarily more damaging to the host.”

June 29, 2021 — A new coronavirus variant that has infected thousands in South America    has now been discovered in the UK.

Classified as a “variant of interest” by the World Health Organization (WHO) on June 17,
the lambda variant has been detected in 29 nations — seven of them in Latin America.
In Peru, where it was first identified, the lambda variant now accounts for 82% of new infections. Now, 6 cases of this COVID-19 variant have been found in the UK, all linked to overseas travel.

COVID-19 Global Tracker
 Coronavirus (COVID-19) (msn.com)

Public Health England (PHE) says that the Lambda variant has been designated as a variant under investigation (VUI) due to a rise in international cases and several notable mutations.
Virologist Pablo Tsukayama and his team at Lima’s Cayetano Heredia University have traced the evolution of the lambda variant in Peru for months after identifying it through genome testing.
“With 187,000 dead and the highest mortality rates in the world, we are the country that has struggled most when it comes to the coronavirus,” Tsukayama told DW news. “Therefore, it is probably no wonder that the new variant has gotten its start here.”
Alpha (B.1.1.7), beta (B.1.351), delta (B.1.617.2) and gamma (P.1) are categorized as “variants of concern” by the WHO. The classification indicates that they are more transmissible and more difficult to treat.

“So far we have seen no indication that the lambda variant is more aggressive,” the WHO virologist Jairo Mendez-Rico said. “It is possible that it may exhibit higher infection rates, but we don’t yet have enough reliable data to compare it to gamma or delta.”
PHE said tests were ongoing and there is currently no evidence this variant causes more severe disease or renders vaccines less effective.
A further 514 people were admitted to hospital in England with Covid-19 in the week up to June 21. Of these, 304 were unvaccinated.
Separate figures published by the Office for National Statistics show there have been 153,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.

Will the vaccines work?
There are three vaccines currently being rolled out across the UK, the Pfizer/BioNTech. the Oxford/AstraZeneca and the Moderna.
Over 45.7 million Brits have had a first dose, with 33.6 million now having had two doses.
It was recently found that vaccines were less effective against the Delta variant.
It is not yet known for sure how effective jabs will be against the Lambda variant.
Chilean researchers found the variant could be resistant to Covid vaccines.

Experts at the University of Chile who studied the virus in local healthcare workers who received two doses of China’s CoronaVac jab say Lambda is more infectious than the Brazilian and UK mutations.
They wrote in a paper yet to be peer reviewed: “Our data show for the first time that mutations present in the spike protein of the Lambda variant confer escape to neutralizing antibodies and increased infectivity,.

“It is possible that it may exhibit higher infection rates, but we don’t yet have enough reliable data to compare it to gamma or delta.”

COVID-19: The ‘unusual’ new variant that may be more infectious than Delta.
A worrying new strain of COVID-19 has been reported in the UK as scientists remain uncertain whether it could be resistant to vaccines.

Sky News Australia – ‘Scary time for the country’ as Delta strain spreads across Australia | Facebook

Global health experts are concerned an ‘unusual’ mutation of the Lambda variant could be resistant to vaccines.

The Lambda variant, formally known as C.37, was first detected in Peru,
and is responsible for more than 80 percent of the country’s cases.

A study at the University of Chile, Santiago, looked into the effect of Lambda on workers who had received two doses of China’s CoronaVac Vaccine.

‘Fear factor’ over COVID is ‘out of hand’ – YouTube

The Menzies Research Centre’s Nick Cater says the “fear factor” over COVID-19 is
“out of hand” after a poll revealed it is believed on average there is a 38 percent chance of dying from the Delta strain. Mr. Cater said it was clear to him the fear…
Results suggest Lambda is more infectious than Gamma and Alpha and is better able to escape the antibodies produced by vaccines.

“We observed an increased infectivity mediated by the lambda spike protein that was even higher than that of the D614G or the Alpha and Gamma variants,” the study wrote. “Our data show for the first time that mutations present in the spike protein of the Lambda variant confer increased infectivity and escape to neutralizing antibodies elicited by the inactivated virus vaccine CoronaVac.”

‘No correlation’ between lockdowns and preventing COVID deaths

The Institute of Public Affairs’ Gideon Rozner says there are several studies on the low efficacy of lockdowns in preventing COVID-related deaths but even common sense makes it clear there is “no correlation between lockdowns and COVID… Jeff Barrett, director of the COVID-19 Genomics Initiative at the Wellcome Sanger Institute in the UK said it had a rather “unusual set of mutations”.

Lambda has a unique pattern of seven mutations in the spike protein that the virus uses to infect human cells, according to the Financial Times.
“One reason why it is hard to make sense of the threat from Lambda, using computational and lab data, is that it has rather an unusual set of mutations, compared with other variants,” he said.

Travel cap reduction due to a ‘lack of proper quarantine facilities’

Independent Senator Rex Patrick says the National Cabinet’s decision to reduce the travel caps for international arrivals has been brought about by a “lack of proper quarantine facilities”. On Friday Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced commercial…Pablo Tsukayama, a molecular microbiology doctor at Lima’s Cayetano Heredia University said the Lambda variant is spreading more quickly than previous variants.

“We had 200 Lambda infections in December,” Prof Tsukayama told DW News.
“By the end of March, it made up half of all samples taken in Lima. Now three months later, we are looking at more than 80 percent of all infections nationwide.

UK doctors want to keep some restrictions as COVID cases rise

Leading doctors in the United Kingdom are calling for some coronavirus prevention measures to remain in place to try and stop an alarming rise in cases. The call from the British Medical Association comes as Prime Minister Boris Johnson prepares to…”Lambda has become the dominant variant in Peru in a very short period of time.”

The Lambda variant has since spread to 27 countries including the UK, causing concern as the country expects to return to pre-pandemic norms by July 19. More than 78 million vaccine doses have now been administered in the UK, and 63.4 percent of adults have received both doses.

The Cold War II

The Democrats have BLM, Antifa, Planned Parenthood, Whispering Joe, KamalaToe. CrazyNancy, Mad Maxine. AOC, Tlaib, Omar, Schumer and Schiff,

but we’re the extremists…Thinking face

Unfortunately, Satan has them all in his fingertips. They are blinded and call us extremists. Just like what —
The Bible states this since we are living in the last days of our time.
Again, even if history treats Pres Trump like a buffoon, one of his enduring legacies will be that he exposed how evil, corrupt, hypocritical, apathetic, and anti-American the swamp is.
Yes. And the swamp is made up of Dems and the GOP. I just don’t get it.
When you have the media and institutions pushing that for years, it seems believable to the average joe. People are just too lazy to wake up and learn things on their own.

Now, Rep Cori Bush & Stacy Abrams who has shown the lack of honesty & lack of intelligence. They are in good company with the other misfits. All their evil ways they blame on us because the Sheep believes them.
They call everyone else — everything that they are. 😠

Everything they do they blame republicans.
We will be persecuted for Christ Jesus, our Lord and King! For Not fighting good over evil.

Democrats’ calls to defund the police are dangerous. 🆘 ⏳
BY Sen. Roger Marshall

Last fall, I was visiting my mother and father after a long bus tour across Kansas. My parents still live in the same home I was raised in, and as I was leaving that fall day, a scene of a riot was on the TV. I vividly remember my mother saying, “Why would any person want to go into law enforcement today?”

To understand the magnitude of that question, you’d have to know that my father was a chief of police for 25 years. Growing up, he taught us the importance of law and order. He taught us that two wrongs don’t make a right. And he instilled in us respect for our fellow man. So, you can imagine the shock on my face after hearing my mother say what she did. We were always so proud of my father. For 25 years, he represented and defined law and order for my hometown. My father was Kansas Officer of the Year and former president of the National Association of Chiefs of Police.

So, in his world, there was right and wrong. There was a law, and it was unambiguous. If you broke the law in El Dorado, Kansas, Vic Marshall was going to throw you in jail. He didn’t care who you were, where you came from, or how much money you made — he represented the law. As I walked out the door that night, I reflected on my father’s career. I thought about what my mother said, and it took me back to 2014.

When my father said that President Barack Obama didn’t have the backs of the men and women in blue. It reminded me as I was preparing my remarks for a live, televised debate that the central role of government at all levels is to maintain public safety. After all, the very first paragraph of the Constitution is all about public safety.

Like many of you, I sat with my jaw hanging when the Biden-Harris administration recently accused the GOP of defunding the police. It’s simply not factual. While the White House tried to trot out a false narrative that its latest partisan COVID-19 package would have boosted funding for law enforcement, not once did the president or any Democrat say the funds could be used to fund the police when they tried to sell the bill.
Now, after seeing a dramatic increase in violence across the country, they are saying that billions of dollars for state and local governments could be used to fund the police. Do they think people will fall for this? Certainly not after this past year, in which we saw numerous radical Democrats call to defund the police.

Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said, “Defunding police means defunding police. It does not mean budget tricks or funny math.” Her fellow Democratic Rep. Cori Bush underscored her point: “So yes, defund your butts. Defund you.” And leave it to Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib to take it one step further, saying, “No more policing, incarceration, and militarization. It can’t be reformed.”
We’ve seen these radical socialist views implemented in over a dozen major cities across the country by leaders who slashed funding from their police departments in 2020. Minneapolis cut $1.1 million out of its police budget and, in turn, has seen a 152% increase in homicides since 2019 and a 23% increase in all violent crimes in the same time frame. Atlanta had 157 homicides in 2020, the most in over 20 years. These views also contributed to the homicide rate in 20 major cities across the country rising 28% in the first three months of 2021 compared to 2020.

This past year of riots and disregard for law and order reminds me of growing up in the ’60s. Violence is up because of cultural changes created by turning heads away from violence, ignoring riots, and overlooking vandalism. And the uptick in violence is yet another crisis created by radical socialist policies and dangerous rhetoric. The bottom line? Socialist democrats created this crisis.
They defunded the police. They created the anti-police mobs. They turned their back on and, quite frankly, destroyed the integrity of the police. They turned their heads from violence and vandalism and even glorified them at times. And they opened the borders and continue to turn their heads from illegal immigrants.

It’s been just over five months since Joe Biden was sworn in as president.
In that time, people have seen crisis upon crisis — all self-inflicted and all completely preventable: the border crisis, cyberattacks, rising inflation, a labor shortage, and, of course, the crisis of violence in many cities nationwide.
As the son of a police chief, I know and respect the vital role law enforcement officers play in our communities, and I know the heroic sacrifices they and their families make. The recent rise in unfair criticisms of law enforcement officers is personal to me. It’s past time radical socialists look in the mirror, begin to understand the importance of law and order, respect their fellow man (including those serving in law enforcement), and realize that their calls to defund the police are dangerous and foolish. At a time of rising violent crime in cities across the country, we need more support for our front-line heroes, not less.

Barack Obama Muslim Brotherhood Tradition.
Sharia Law (/ʃəˈriːə/; Arabic: شَرِيعَة‎, romanized: šarīʿa [ʃaˈriːʕa]), Islamic law, is a religious law forming part of the Islamic tradition.
Its derived from the religious precepts of Islam, particularly the Quran and
the hadith. In Arabic, the term sharīʿah refers to God’s immutable divine law and is contrasted with fiqh, which refers to its human scholarly interpretations. The manner of its application in modern times has been a subject of dispute between Muslim fundamentalists and modernists.

The Sharia contains the rules by which a Muslim society is organized and governed, and it provides the means to resolve conflicts among individuals and between the individual and the state. There is no dispute among Muslims that the Qur’an is the basis of the Sharia and that its specific provisions are to be scrupulously observed.

China and the U.S. Are Talking Tough. Don’t Believe (Most of) It.
BY David Rothkopf

They see our unwillingness to fight back and know they got us. So Last week the Chinese Communist Party threw a party for itself. It celebrated 100 years since its founding. It characterized itself as the “savior” of China, the authors of the country’s current greatness. And yet, for all the over-the-top nationalism, you might well conclude much of the hoopla was for the benefit of a foreign audience, an American audience in particular.

For all the fluttering red flags and carefully orchestrated salutes to the country from Chinese astronauts in outer space, the centerpiece of the celebrations was a speech by Chinese President Xi Jinping. Xi enumerated the party’s accomplishments and laid out key goals, like ultimately reclaiming Taiwan, but the international headlines were made when Xi said, “We will not accept sanctimonious preaching from those who feel they have the right to lecture us. We have never bullied, oppressed or subjugated the people of any other country, and we never will.” (Give him credit here. The people who have been bullied, oppressed, and subjugated by the Chinese communists have been their own citizens.)

“By the same token,” he went on, “we will never allow anyone to bully, oppress or subjugate [China]. Anyone who tries will find them on a collision course with a steel wall forged by 1.4 billion people.” (Autocrats and their walls, am
I right?) Xi’s words were clearly meant for the United States, a country despite a dysfunctional, divided political system currently is home to deep, bipartisan unease about the rise of China.
During Joe Biden’s recent European trip, he made aligning other Western nations to stand up to Chinese threats to the international system one of his top priorities. During his first speech to a joint session of Congress, Biden made it clear he saw the competition with China as the central international challenge of our time. This was a view explicitly echoed by U.S.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken in his first major policy address.
If you listened to the rhetoric of the leaders of both countries you would
think we were on the verge of a new bipolar divide in the world. Us vs. them.
A Manichean contest between the forces of light and the forces of darkness.
But while both Xi and Biden no doubt believed their strong words about the threat posed by the other, the reality of the relationship is much more nuanced than the rhetoric that makes its way into your Twitter feed.
For example, although the Biden administration, to its disadvantage, does not have an ambassador in Beijing at the moment, it does have an Asia Czar in the White House in the person of Kurt Campbell. Sometimes characterized as a China hawk, he is more accurately described as a realist who has argued that engagement with China did not succeed in coaxing that country toward embracing international norms. Since taking office, Campbell has reiterated a point he made earlier in a Foreign Affairs article co-authored in 2019 with current National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, that the U.S. must prepare for a period of protracted competition with China. They warned against falling into the trap of seeking to replay the Cold War with our new rival. Instead, Campbell and Sullivan argued that the goal of U.S. policy should be to “establish favorable terms of co-existence with Beijing in four key competitive domains—military, economic, political, and global governance.”

This tough, clear-eyed, and balanced approach, defined by Secretary of State Blinken in a speech on March 3 of this year, “will be competitive when it should be, collaborative when it can be and adversarial when it must be.”
Early Biden administration policy moves have sought to establish parameters within the relationship. This has led to Biden, Blinken, Sullivan, and Campbell not only reiterating the core principles of their new policies but demonstrating that they will be tough when they need to be.
That has produced not only sharp rhetoric and even testy exchanges between leaders at the first encounters but also a focus on competition and containment at every level. Working with the Quad group of countries—an informal alliance consisting of the U.S., Japan, India, and Australia that has as its primary strategic focus counterbalancing China—has been prioritized. The threat posed by China has been cited in testimony before Congress by all of America’s top national security leaders as being a paramount focus.

Former diplomat on importance of preserving peace across Taiwan Strait (cnbc.com)

The U.S. has sought to engage more, notably on the trade front, with Taiwan, an independent nation since the PRC’s founding over which Beijing has nonetheless continued to assert its sovereignty. Economic policies are justified by saying they make the U.S. more competitive with China. Security investments from cyber to new weapons systems are all justified as necessary to maintain pace with the Chinese.
That said, Biden and his team and Xi and his know that the last thing either country needs is direct conflict with the other. It would be economically disastrous for the two deeply interlinked economies and a costly distraction from their greater priorities. Nonetheless, Biden and his team and Xi and his also know that the appearance of a competitive threat is helpful to them and motivation for their respective countries to continue to invest in growth, defense and the future.

In fact, unlike the zero-sum game of Cold War rivalry, these two competitors need each other every bit as much as they may also threaten each other—both as partners and, paradoxically, as rivals. That is in part why the experienced team in charge of Biden foreign policy very deliberately uses the language of competition rather than conflict. They understand that at no time in its history has China had the global domination ambitions of the former Soviet Union. They know China has from time to time had conflicts around its periphery, it has no history of aggressively projecting its military power in far away lands. Even today as China builds up its so-called “blue water” navy, it is primarily to protect trade flows with the rest of the world on which it depends. China’s Belt and Road Initiative is not a plan to conquer the world, it is an effort to make up for real resource shortages within China and to grow its economy fast enough to maintain stability at home.

Indeed, the Chinese Communist Party at 100 has one goal and that is to maintain its power within China. Under Xi, it has done so using both brutality—with the Uighurs and in violation of the rights promised to the citizens of Hong Kong—and economic diplomacy worldwide. In that respect, its goals echo those of the Biden administration.
The primary purpose of its foreign policy is to be just tough enough to reduce the likelihood of international problems that might distract it from its central domestic agenda. And in the case of China, it is to invoke that country’s growth and the competitive threat it poses whenever it can help support that domestic agenda—whether that means investment in infrastructure, research and development, green technologies in which China is now a leader or the military.
The bellicosity and braggadocio of the Chinese Communist Party celebrations masks the leadership’s real insecurities about its economy and its ability to maintain control over 1.4 billion citizens of the Internet Age. The tough-guy stance of the U.S. masks its mutual recognition of their interdependence. Indeed, contrary to what hawks in either country may say, the two countries may be more essential to each other’s future growth than they are threats to each other’s survival.

China Has a BIG Plan for Post-U.S. Afghanistan—and It’s Worth Billions
China actually needs to extend its Belt and Road program to Afghanistan is, ultimately, peace. Beijing has gone so far as to offer infrastructure and energy projects worth billions of dollars to the Taliban in return for peace in Afghanistan. China is poised to make an exclusive entry into post-U.S. Afghanistan with its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Speaking on condition of anonymity, a source close to government officials in Afghanistan told The Daily Beast that Kabul authorities are growing more intensively engaged with China on an extension of the $62 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)—the flagship project of BRI, which involves the construction of highways, railways and energy pipelines between Pakistan and China—to Afghanistan.

Biden struggles to answer question at pie shop, via https://nypost.com/
Former White House Dr. Ronny Jackson Says Biden Should Take Cognitive Test. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,.
There are an estimated five million adults living with dementia—and that
number grows every year. In fact, by the year 2060 they predict that number
to multiply to nearly 14 million. While often referred to as a disease or illness, dementia is actually a general term to describe “impaired ability to remember, think, or make decisions that interfere with doing everyday activities.” While occasionally forgetting a name or misplacing car keys is a normal part of aging, dementia isn’t. Here is everything you need to know about it—including the number one cause of the memory-impairing condition. Read on—and to ensure your health and the health of others, don’t miss these — Sure Signs You Have “Long” COVID and May Not Even Know It.

1. What Is Dementia?

According to the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute on Aging, dementia is defined by the loss of cognitive functioning and can range from mild to severe. This includes thinking, remembering, and reasoning—in addition to behavioral abilities “to such an extent that it interferes with a person’s daily life and activities,” they explain.
“These functions include memory, language skills, visual perception,
problem solving, self-management, and the ability to focus and pay attention.” Furthermore, some people with the condition cannot control their emotions and their overall personality may change. In worst case scenarios, the person cannot live on their own and has to depend on others to help with basic activities of living.
While it is normal to lose neurons during the aging process, in the case of dementia, more of these once-healthy nerve cells stop working, lose connections with other brain cells, and die.
Another thing about dementia? It is progressive, explains Carlyn Fredericks, MD, memory loss expert in Yale Medicine’s Department of Neurology. “Unfortunately, dementia symptoms get worse over time despite our best efforts,” she tells Eat This, Not That!

2. What Are the Types of Dementia & Happens If You Have Them?

Alzheimer’s Disease: Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia, responsible for 60 to 80 percent of cases. It is caused by specific changes in the brain. It usually manifests itself as memory issues—like trouble recalling recent events, including conversations that just occurred. Then, later on after the disease progresses, someone might have trouble remembering more distant memories. Other issues—difficulty walking or talking or personality changes—are also common later on. The biggest risk factor? Family history. “Having a first-degree relative with Alzheimer’s disease increases the risk of developing
it by 10 to 30 percent,” the CDC explains.
Vascular Dementia: Strokes or other blood flow issues can also lead to dementia in the form of what is called vascular dementia, accounting for about 10 percent of cases. Other risk factors include diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. “Symptoms vary depending on the area and size of the brain impacted. The disease progresses in a step-wise fashion, meaning symptoms will suddenly get worse as the individual gets more strokes or mini-strokes,” explains the CDC.
Lewy Body Dementia: This form of dementia manifests itself in memory loss as well as movement or balance problems like stiffness or trembling. “Many people also experience changes in alertness including daytime sleepiness, confusion or staring spells. They may also have trouble sleeping at night or may experience visual hallucinations (seeing people, objects or shapes that are not actually there),” the CDC explains.
Fronto-Temporal Dementia: Changes in personality and behavior define fronto-temporal dementia, named after the part of the brain affected. “People with this condition may embarrass themselves or behave inappropriately.
For instance, a previously cautious person may make offensive comments and neglect responsibilities at home or work. There may also be problems with language skills like speaking or understanding,” the CDC explained.
Mixed Dementia: Individuals may experience more than one type of dementia in the brain, especially if they are over 80. “It is not always obvious that a person has mixed dementia since the symptoms of one type of dementia may be most prominent or may overlap with symptoms of another type,” the CDC notes. And, when there is more than one type of dementia, disease can progress much more quickly.

3. How Do I Know I Have It?

There are many symptoms of dementia, according to the CDC, with many of them outlined above. The most common are memory loss, issues with paying attention, communication problems, reasoning, judgment, and problem solving issues and visual perception beyond typical age-related changes in vision.
Specific signs that can point to dementia include getting lost in a familiar neighborhood, using unusual words to refer to familiar objects, forgetting the name of a close family member or friend, forgetting old memories, or not being able to complete tasks independently.

4. Here Are the Top Contributing Factors

According to the CDC, there are many risk factors of dementia.
Age: The older you get, the more likely you are to develop dementia.
Family history: Dementia runs in the family, according to the CDC.
“Those who have parents or siblings with dementia are more likely to
develop dementia themselves,” they explain.
Race/Ethnicity: According to the CDC, older African Americans are twice more likely to have dementia than whites, while Hispanics are 1.5 times more likely to have dementia than whites.
Heart Health: Those with poor cardiovascular health are more likely to develop dementia. High blood pressure, high cholesterol, and smoking can
all play a role.
Traumatic Brain Injury: “Head injuries can increase the risk of dementia, especially if they are severe or occur repeatedly,” the CDC says.

5. What Is the Number One Cause?

According to the CDC the number one contributing factor for dementia is increasing age, with most cases impacting those 65 and over. The second? Family history.

6. How to Prevent It

While in most cases, dementia is not preventable, Dr. Fredericks explains that there are a lot of contributing factors that you may be able to do something about, “including improving your level of exercise (especially cardiovascular fitness), decreasing heavy alcohol use, improving your sleep (and treating sleep apnea, if present), eating well (a Mediterranean diet seems to be especially helpful), and making sure you are working with your doctors to keep a close eye on chronic illnesses such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes,” she explains.
The Alzheimer’s Association has detailed the best practices to prevent dementia in 10 Ways to Love Your Brain. “Growing evidence indicates that people can reduce their risk of cognitive decline by adopting key lifestyle habits,” they explain.

7. How Is Dementia Treated?

Unfortunately, there is no cure for most types of dementia, including Alzheimer’s, per the CDC. However, there are medications that can help protect the brain or manage symptoms, including anxiety or behavior changes.

8. What to Do If You Notice Symptoms

If you believe you or a loved one is demonstrating symptoms of dementia, the NIH recommends contracting your medical provider for an assessment. “Don’t be afraid to get them checked out early!” encourages Dr. Fredericks. “Having an experienced physician evaluate you and determine whether there is a need for further testing—whether blood tests, brain imaging, or pen-&-paper neuropsychological testing—can help you identify the cause of your symptoms as early as possible (and reassure you if what you are experiencing is more likely the result of normal aging).” And to get through this pandemic at your healthiest, don’t miss these 35 Places You’re Most Likely to Catch COVID.

Fight Dementia and Memory Loss – Shield Your Brain From Cognitive Decline For Life

Protecting against cognitive decline:
While there’s currently no treatment that can prevent or cure dementia, researchers have identified some factors that may help protect you from cognitive decline.

Exercise offers an impressive array of health benefits.
It helps prevent heart disease and type 2 diabetes; lowers the risk for high blood pressure, colon cancer, and breast cancer; and helps relieve insomnia, anxiety, and depression. In addition, it may help ward off cognitive decline and dementia. Plus, some studies have shown that engaging in a program of regular exercise improved cognitive function in people who already had memory problems. Exercise may be particularly advantageous for people who carry the APOE4 gene variant, which makes people more susceptible to Alzheimer’s.

A Mediterranean-style diet
A Mediterranean diet emphasizes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans,
nuts and seeds, and olive oil, and includes moderate amounts of fish, poultry, and dairy products, while limiting red meat. This eating pattern has long been recognized as promoting better cardiovascular health, lowering the risk of certain cancers, and may protect against cognitive  decline.
A Mediterranean diet also appears to lower the risk of developing MCI and slow the progression to dementia in people who have the condition.

Alcohol
Some older studies suggest that people who consume an average of one alcoholic beverage per day may have a lower risk of dementia However, experts do not recommend drinking alcohol to prevent cognitive decline. If you enjoy an occasional alcoholic beverage, you should limit your consumption to no more than one drink per day.
In the JAMA study, heavy drinkers—defined as more than four drinks per day or 14 per week for men and more than three drinks per day or seven per week for women—had a 22% higher Alzheimer’s risk than the nondrinkers.

Sleep is Restorative
Getting consistent, good-quality sleep is known to improve overall health and may prevent cognitive decline. Our bodies rely on a certain amount of regular sleep for a variety of essential functions, many of them in the brain. Studies have shown that people who regularly sleep less than the recommended seven to eight hours a night score lower on tests of mental function. This may be because learning and memories are consolidated during sleep.

Mental stimulation
Many researchers believe that education level is less important in maintaining a healthy brain than the habit of staying mentally active as you age. In one study, mentally intact people in their 70s and 80s were asked how often they did six activities that required active mental engagement—reading, writing, doing crossword puzzles, playing board or card games, engaging in group discussions, and playing music. In the following five years, those who placed in the highest third in terms of how often they engaged in mentally

stimulating activities were half as likely to develop mild cognitive impairment as those in the lowest third. An earlier report found a similar link between brain-stretching activities and lowers stress levels and the risk of Alzheimer’s.

Social Contacts
Social interaction can have profound effects on your health and longevity. In fact, there’s evidence that strong social connections may be as important as physical activity and a healthy diet. Strong social interactions can help protect your memory and cognitive function in several ways as you age. Research shows that people with strong social ties are less likely to experience cognitive declines than those who are alone. By contrast, depression, which often goes hand in hand with loneliness, correlates to faster cognitive decline. In addition, having a strong network of people who support and care for you can help lower your stress levels. Social activities require you to engage several important mental processes, including attention and memory, which can bolster cognition. Frequent engagement helps strengthen neural networks, slowing normal age-related declines. It may also help strengthen cognitive reserve, which can delay the onset of dementia.

U.S. Marines raise a large American flag to replace a smaller flag first raised at the summit of Mount Suribachi on Iwo Jima, Feb. 23, 1945.

Soldiers that lift the flag at Iwo Jima  One of the most iconic photographs taken from the Pacific theatre during World War II is the image that captured the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima.
Taken by  American photographer Joe Rosenthal on 23 February 1945, it won him a Pulitzer Prize. The image depicts the moment that six marines hoisted a large American flag on Iwo Jima’s highest point. Gagnon did play a large role in the flag raising, as it was his job to carry the larger flag to the top of the mountain and safely return the first flag for safe keeping.

The Continental Congress declared that the thirteen American colonies were no longer subordinate to the monarch of Britain, King George III, and were now united, free, and independent states. The Congress had voted to declare independence two days earlier, on July 2, but it was not declared until July 4.
Today, July 4, 2021, we Arizonans are reasserting our independence as a state by showing that we are not subject to federal government meddling in our elections. Pushing back against overreaching government and standing up to tyranny is the spirit of 1776.

Let this day commemorate our redoubling of effort toward this worthy cause. Happy Independence Day, Thank you for your service – continuing service and perseverance for Liberty! Wendy Rogers @WendyRogersAZ

WH official acknowledges younger Americans are ‘less eager’ to get vaccinated

President Biden’s overall approval rating sits at 50 percent, and 62 percent of Americans are satisfied with how he’s handled the coronavirus pandemic, but his numbers drop significantly when it comes to immigration at the United States-Mexico border, a new Washington Post/ABC News poll finds.
Only 33% of voters think Biden’s immigration policies have been successful. The low mark certainly has a lot to do with the fact that 90 percent of Republicans disapprove, but only 63 percent of Democrats are on board.
When considering Democrats approve of Biden at a 94 percent clip overall, the fall seems substantial, though more of them offered no opinion than outright disapproval.
The Post-ABC News poll was conducted between June 27-30 among 907 adults. The margin of error was 3.5 percentage points. Read more and see the full results at The Washington Post.

5 states where the coronavirus delta variant is spreading!!!

By Justine Coleman.

The highly transmissible delta variant has been officially confirmed in all 50 states as of this week, and health officials nationwide are raising alarms about localized coronavirus outbreaks as the Fourth of July weekend arrives. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates the strain makes up about a quarter of U.S. cases, with top infectious diseases expert Anthony Fauci calling it the “greatest threat” to getting rid of COVID-19.

Amid the variant’s spread, the country recorded a 10 percent increase in its seven-day average this week, although the average is 95 percent lower than the U.S.’s early January peak, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said in a Thursday briefing.

Administration officials have warned that unvaccinated people, including young people and children, are most at risk to contract the delta strain and experience serious illness, as the vaccine remains effective against the currently circulating variants.

Former Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Scott Gottlieb told CNBC on Friday that most parts of the county are “relatively safe” with high vaccination rates, although other areas “should exercise more caution.” Squawk Box on Twitter: https://t.co/cWhjd7Rtg9″ / Twitter

Here are five states in particular where the delta variant is spreading and cases are rising, potentially signaling an upcoming increase in hospitalizations and deaths.

Missouri

The Show-Me State has made headlines in recent weeks as COVID-19 cases have surged there, where less than half of adults are fully vaccinated.

Missouri reached 1,383 new cases on Thursday, as its average daily case count increased by 55 percent over two weeks. It ranks as the second in the country with the most new COVID-19 cases per capita at 15.1 per 100,000 people, according to Covid Act Now.

Officials and experts have attributed the ongoing rise in cases and hospitalizations to the growing prevalence of the delta strain, which has exponentially risen to make up a majority of COVID-19 cases in the state in recent months.

“Unfortunately, the arrival of the Delta variant in Missouri is driving transmission of the virus, and is resulting in increased illness and hospitalization among a younger population and the unvaccinated,” Missouri Hospital Association President and CEO Herb Kuhn said in a statement, calling it a “tragic consequence.”

Among the hot spots in the state are Greene County, home to Springfield, and St. Louis County, where average daily cases boosted by 55 percent and 61 percent, respectively, in two weeks, according to The New York Times.

The St. Louis County and city health departments in response advised on Thursday for all people to wear a mask indoors where others’ vaccination statuses are unknown. Nearby Jefferson County released similar guidance, citing a 42 percent increase in cases with most among 10- to 19-year-olds.

Los Angeles County had first issued that recommendation, straying from CDC guidance that fully vaccinated people do not need masks in most situations.

Arkansas

Arkansas’s COVID-19 case count reached its highest level since the winter on two consecutive days this week, with 686 and 700 new cases confirmed Wednesday and Thursday.

The surge has led to a rise in cases in almost every county, with the whole state seeing an 81 percent increase in its average daily cases in two weeks. Arkansas also ranks third for the most daily new cases per capita at 14.8 cases per 100,000 people.

State officials, including Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R), have blamed the delta strain and pleaded with residents to get their COVID-19 shots to boost the state’s vaccination rate, which stands at 43.4 percent of adults.

The high number of cases today makes it clear that the Delta Variant is increasing the spread of the virus. The good news is that vaccinations increased to over 10,000. Let’s keep making progress.

“The high number of cases today makes it clear that the Delta Variant is increasing the spread of the virus,” Hutchinson tweeted on Wednesday.

University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Chancellor Cam Patterson said during a briefing that the delta variant makes up more than 25 percent of cases in the state, and he expects it will become the dominant strain in a week or two.

“We have to be concerned that this would be a trend that could continue, and if it does, it would appear that we may be in the beginning of the third surge of COVID-19 here in the state of Arkansas,” he said.Nevada
Nevada has seen its COVID-19 case count skyrocket since mid-June, reaching Missouri’s levels in a few weeks. The state documented 543 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday in a 48 percent increase in a week.
Whereas most of the US is doing well, Nevada has joined Missouri in becoming the epicenter of the Delta variant hit. Both states are now Delta dominant and have rising cases and hospitalizations (~50% and 20%, respectively, past 2 weeks)

This can be seen in an optimistic light: 1. These states, down to ~6/100,000 are still low at 12 cases/ 100K. We had states >150/100K during the monster 3rd surge 2. Compared w/ prior case rises, the shift to younger, lower risk means less increase in hospitalizations and deaths

But its daily average for cases at 492 marked a 114 percent increase within two weeks, according to data from the Times. Nevada has climbed to the top state for most daily new cases per capita with 16 per 100,000 people.

The majority of Nevada’s new cases are being confirmed in Clark County, where Las Vegas is located. The county, which has a daily average of 453 new cases, has seen a 146 percent increase in that average over two weeks, Times data shows.

Statewide, the delta strain made up 46.22 percent of sequenced COVID-19 samples in the two-week period ending in June 25, overtaking the previously dominant alpha variant, according to a report.

In response, Gov. Steve Sisolak (D) announced the state would seek federal assistance to combat the escalation of COVID-19 cases after the White House declared it would send “surge teams” to hotspots nationwide.

“We must continue to leverage resources at the federal, state and local level to increase access and confidence and get as many Nevadans protected from this deadly virus as possible,” he said in a statement.

Colorado

Colorado is another state where the delta variant appears to be spreading, although the rises seem to be more limited to certain areas.

The most recent data from sequencing a random sample found 70 percent of cases derived from the delta strain, Jessica Bralish, the director of communications at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, told The Hill.

As a whole, Colorado is actually seeing a slight drop in overall COVID-19 cases with a 24 percent decrease in its average daily case count within two weeks.

But Mesa County, home to Grand Junction, has been struck by new COVID-19 cases in recent days with an average of 48 cases per day in a 34 percent increase from two weeks prior, according to Times data.

The county, which hosted thousands last weekend for the County Jam music festival, has seen its hospitals fill up with 98.3 percent of beds and 90.9 percent of ICU beds in use.

Mesa County officials issued a public health advisory on Wednesday, calling vaccination “critically important as case counts continue to be at a sustained increase in Mesa County and community transmission of the Delta variant is widespread.”image.png

Utah

In recent weeks, Utah has also documented an increase in COVID-19 cases, hitting a daily average of 382 new cases this week representing a 33 percent increase in two weeks.

The state ranks fifth for the highest daily COVID-19 average per capita, at 11.9 cases per 100,000 people, according to Covid Act Now.

Almost 1,110 delta cases have been identified in the Beehive State, with an estimated 70 percent of cases during the week of June 13 traced to the delta strain, according to state data. This is almost 10 times more than the number of delta cases confirmed in mid-June.

“We have more delta in Utah than we do in L.A.,” Kencee Graves, the University of Utah associate chief medical officer for inpatient services, said during a briefing, citing Los Angeles County’s new mask guidance.

“I want to be very, very clear about what everyone of our staff has told me and that is this is not over,” she added.

“Vaccine is important, is what we need to end this, but the COVID-19 pandemic is not over.”
