Some Jews Are Intolerant of Others

Government formed to oust Benjamin Netanyahu:

An explanation and three ways to pray for Israel
By Dr. Jim Denison

Benjamin Netanyahu has been prime minister of Israel since 2009.

He previously served three terms as prime minister in the 1990s.

Now it appears that his time in office may be over.
In what is being called “a seismic event in Israeli politics,” Mr. Netanyahu’s rivals announced yesterday the creation of a coalition government that would replace him. Yair Lapid, who leads the centrist Yesh Atid party, and Naftali Bennett, who heads the right-wing Yamina party, will team up with six other parties.
Mr. Bennett will serve as prime minister for two years, followed by Mr. Lapid, who will first serve as foreign minister. Blue and White’s Benny Gantz will be defense minister; New Hope’s Gideon Saar will be justice minister; Yisrael Beiteinu’s Avigdor Lieberman will be finance minister; and Yamina’s Ayelet Shaked will be interior minister.
However, some of the coalition agreements are not yet final. They will need
to be presented to the Knesset (the Israeli parliament) within twelve days.

How is Israel governed?

The Knesset is composed of 120 members.
No party has ever won a sixty-one-seat majority in an election,
so the party that wins the most seats is given a period of time to build a governing coalition with other parties. Mr. Netanyahu’s party won the most seats in the recent elections, but he was unable to build such a coalition.

Mr. Lapid, whose party came in second, was then given this opportunity. Yesterday, he announced that he had built such a coalition. However, his coalition is far from stable, as it includes members from a wide variety of parties. For the first time, the Islamist Ra’am party chose to join, making
it the first Arab party to enter an Israeli government.

Mr. Netanyahu is warning that this new coalition is a dangerous government that will not be able to confront Iran or meet other security challenges. He is expected to try to sabotage the coalition by pressing several of its right-wing members to defect.
Since the coalition has only sixty-one seats, the defection of a single member would bring it down and lead to another election.

Why was Mr. Netanyahu in office for so long?

George Friedman, a geopolitical analyst, has made popular the concept of a “metanarrative.” This is a guiding worldview, a set of priorities and agendas that form and explain behavior. Individuals, organizations, and countries all have metanarratives. When we identify a nation’s metanarrative, we are better able to understand its past actions and predict its future behavior.
The metanarrative of the State of Israel has been clear from its formation on May 14, 1948: to provide a homeland for the Jewish people. This metanarrative is tied directly to the security of the country. From its inception, Israel has faced adversaries who seek its destruction.
Its War of Independence was fought against a coalition of forces from Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon. In the years since, Israel has fought against these countries as well as forces from Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Algeria, and the Palestine Liberation Organization. In recent years, it has faced attacks from Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

As a result, Israel expects its prime ministers to put national security above
all other priorities. To the degree that Mr. Netanyahu has been viewed as successful in this regard, he has been able to retain his position of leadership. However, he is currently under indictment for corruption, causing many potential coalition members to refuse his invitation to join his government.
His handling of the coronavirus pandemic and the recent conflict with Hamas have come under criticism as well.

How can we pray for Israel?

How can you and I “pray for the peace of Jerusalem” in these historic days (Psalm 122:6)?

One: Pray for the protection of Israel and cessation of violence in the region.
It would not be surprising for Iran and Israel’s other enemies to try to take advantage of this leadership transition. Make Paul’s prayer yours: “May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way”
(2 Thessalonians 3:16).
Two: Pray for the new leaders (if they do take office) to build a better future for Israel and the Palestinians. With God “there is neither Jew nor Greek” (Galatians 3:28).

He loves each of us so much that his Son died for each of us.
Pray for his best for the Jews, Arabs, and others who inhabit the Holy Land.

Three: Pray for ways to build relationships with the Jewish people you know. Paul had “great sorrow and unceasing anguish” for the Jews who had not made Jesus their Messiah (Romans 9:2). Like him, we should grieve for every Jewish person who does not know our Lord and seek to share his love and grace with them.

How can we repay the debt we owe?

Jesus was a Jew. So were each of his apostles. So was Paul.
Every book of the Bible (except possibly for Luke/Acts and Hebrews)
was written by a Jew.
Christians owe a tremendous debt to our Jewish sisters and brothers.
How can we repay it? By praying for them daily, forging relationships
with them built on mutual respect and appreciation, and giving them
the opportunity to know their Messiah.
Can Jesus use you to introduce his people to him?

Do you realize how many people would cut off their nose
to spite their face to keep from admitting they are wrong?
It’s bizarre!

So Why are they ousting Netanyahu?

They don’t like him because he’s like Trump,

BUT They don’t know it … they need him.

Fisted handFace with symbols over mouth

I remember reading that he’s 33° Free Mason.
He’s politically dangerous because he won’t kowtow to Hamas terrorist threats.
It’s all a part of their plan to stabilize the region. Bringing in a Muslim to the Gov’t. It’s going to usher in the reveal of the antichrist. The Rapture is anytime. The Tribulation is next.

The Anti Christ is waiting in the wings.

The Marxist NWO feels forced to play their hand now because the world
is waking up. DJT has revealed the government Sewers are connected.
The globalists leaders and their Swamps hate him but the people love him.
The Kenyan tried to take Netanyahu out for the Muslims, but failed.
NOW… Biden wants to surrender Israel to the Arabs @ Obama.

We Never Dealt with Anti-Asian Hate Crimes in the First Place,
So Why’d We Expect Them to Stop?

A year into the pandemic, and we’re still stuck in this devastating place.
As a Chinese immigrant, it’s hard to remember a time when my existence wasn’t politicized. Since coming to the United States at the age of 6, I’ve found my identity has been the subject of mass scrutiny for as long as I can remember—what I ate, what I looked like, what my parents did for a living, how “legitimate” my citizenship is, etc. I learned that to be Asian in America is to be “othered” and to be examined under a microscope by people who, by and large, have no idea what it means to be a minority.
This month in America, the media has covered a wave of anti-Asian hate crimes
It’s important to distinguish that this is not the same as saying there’s been a wave of anti-Asian hate crimes in America this month—that would imply the attacks ever stopped. They didn’t. Like many in my community, we heard about these strings of violence early from our friends, our families, our neighbors, and the networks we’ve had to build out of necessity. As news stories started popping up about the spike, I sat with feelings ranging from grief to fear to rage, but I think I speak on behalf of many AAPI folks when I say none of us were surprised.

Having to reconcile America’s shock that anti-Asian hatred
still exists is almost as exhausting as being exposed to it.

Having to reconcile America’s shock that anti-Asian hatred still exists is almost as exhausting as being exposed to it. Racism is not a polite guest that goes away if ignored. It’s the property owner of this not-so-great house we call America. But like clockwork, whenever there are many reports of hate crimes, white and non-Asian Americans want to clutch their pearls to express outrage that Asian American Pacific Islanders are facing the same vitriol we’ve been facing since the day this country was stolen.
Call it pandemic hay fever or post-Trump exhaustion, but I don’t have a single bit of grace left in me to play the role of the model minority who can just nod her head and say, “It’s just been so hard, thank you for your concern.”
What I really want to say is: Does your concern for me and my brothers and sister reach beyond this news cycle?
But admittedly, it’s easier not to have that conversation because even being
put in a position of having to defend my right to exist—even to seemingly sympathetic ears—is exhausting.

Related Story: The Dangers of Being Asian American Right Now

When COVID-19 first hit the United States, there was a reported wave of anti-Asian attacks as Trump and his supporters adamantly fueled xenophobia.
(I wrote about that period for Cosmo here.) But he wasn’t inventing something that wasn’t already there. By blaming innocent AAPI communities for a deadly virus, there had to have already been groundwork of anti-Asian sentiments to point fingers at. And I knew, without a doubt, that that same foundation would still be there even once Trump left office. Or to put it differently: You can change the keys to the house, but it’s still the same four walls.
When Biden was sworn in, there was a wave of blind optimism that with Trump gone, we’d finally have “unity.” But how? Without ever stopping to address exactly why it was so easy to fan anti-Asian sentiment, we never had a chance of stopping it. Now, almost a full year since COVID-19 shut down the country, we’re still in the exact same spot as we were not just four years ago but since the 1940s when America begrudgingly opened its doors for us.
Without ever stopping to address exactly why it was so easy to fan anti-Asian sentiments, we never had a chance of stopping it.

I am fully aware that racism will continue to define my existence because
I don’t remember a time when that wasn’t the case. But for the sake of the generations after me, I hope we can make enough progress so that future AAPI folks can grow up in this country and not only take pride in their identity but also experience the same acceptance and sense of safety that is all but guaranteed to every white person in America.
In the meantime, my life will continue on as it always had: carving spaces for joy where I can, giving back to community aid, and remembering the sum of my existence does not hinge on other people’s acceptance of my identity.
Because if it did, then I wouldn’t be here at all.
Predatory lenders prey on individuals who don’t know the ins and outs of safe lending, making students – particularly minority students and those who need to borrow significant amounts of money to make college a reality – a prime target.

Predatory Loans to College Students – Bing video

To say that the Biden administration created a slew of major issues when
they took office in January is an understatement—and top among them is the student debt crisis, which is estimated to be approximately $1.6 trillion dollars
these days. When President Biden and Vice President Harris were sworn in, they vowed to erase student loans—but now months have passed without change. And for every day of inaction, present and former students are drowning in debt and demanding the administration give loan forgiveness the gravity it deserves.

Liz King, the Director of Education Equity for the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, says it’s a symptom of our broken system of higher education, particularly for students of color. “As we wrestle with deep structural inequalities, and the significant harms of a global pandemic, student debt forgiveness provides a clear path to support families and racial equity,” King tells Cosmopolitan, before elaborating: “Student loan debt is a barrier to homeownership and the financial stability it can provide, it’s a barrier to higher education for the next generation, and it is a daily weight for people who are already shut out of so much economic opportunity.
After decades of policies that privilege generational wealth and compound the effects of economic inequality. Student loan debt cancellation provides a clear and direct opportunity to interrupt that cycle and begin to get things on a more equitable track.”
Here, I spoke to five people from around the country who are dealing with student debt to learn the impact loan forgiveness could have on their lives,
and what they want to see from the Biden administration.

“AT THIS RATE, THERE’S NO END IN SIGHT.”
“It’s almost unfathomable to think of what my life could be without any
student loan debt. When I took out my first loan to pay for undergrad,
I was only 18 and I accepted that this debt would either follow me until it was forgiven (through the very flawed Public Service Loan Forgiveness program) or until I died. It certainly wasn’t a life goal of mine to have a six-figure cloud of debt looming over me, but I never felt like I had a choice. I come from a middle-class, working family. My parents are immigrants from Trinidad and Tobago.
I ‘m the oldest child, as well as the first person in my immediate family to have the traditional four-year college experience. My parents did the best they could with what we had, but when the time came to pay the exorbitant sum for my undergrad degree, taking out a loan felt like the only option. And when faced with the same choice to pay for my graduate degree, I considered it an investment in my upward career mobility.

“But now, six years after finishing undergrad and three years after completing my Masters degree, I’m discouraged and concerned about whether or not I will ever truly be debt-free. Because I’ve chosen to pursue a career in non-profit advocacy, the chances of my being able to pay off my loans in full are unlikely. And given the many issues with the PSLF program,
I can’t count on that either.
“As I think about building towards the future, my debt feels insurmountable. It’s almost impossible to save any significant sum of money after I make my monthly payment. At this rate, there’s no end in sight. When people talk about closing the racial wealth gap and ensuring equity for marginalized people in this country, cancelling student loan debt would be one of the most impactful things that could happen to improve the financial well-being of so many people. This is particularly true for those of us who come from backgrounds like mine (a Black, queer woman, first-gen American and first-gen college student) and for so many others who come from communities that have historically faced systemic obstacles to achieving economic security.

Freedom from student loan debt would mean that I could think more realistically about saving for a home with my partner, I could plan to take care of my parents as they get older, and I might even be able to put money away for my future children’s education so that they don’t have to take out loans of their own. I hope to see the Biden administration come through on its campaign promise to cancel student loan debt and provide relief to so many people facing the crippling reality of this debt every month.” —Arielle, 28, Maryland

“THE‘AMERICAN DREAM’ COMES WITH A HEFTY PRICE TAG—SOMEWHERE AROUND $140K”
“My dad, sister, and I emigrated from Jamaica in the mid ’90s. We moved here for a better life; he believed in the ‘American dream.’ He would always say, ‘In America, you can be anything you want.’ Very cliché. Cue the dramatic music:
I don’t think he realized it comes with a hefty price tag, somewhere around $140K. I’ve stopped looking at my student loan debt because it kept me up at night and gave me anxiety. When I log in to make a monthly payment, I avoid looking at the principal because the amount makes my heartbeat erratic.
This debt has kept me from applying for jobs I ‘m passionate about because the salary wouldn’t allow me to support myself and pay over $1,000 in student loans per month (the minimum payment) and it’s kept me from going on vacations with friends. I’ve had to pay more in apartment deposits because my credit isn’t great. Canceling student debt, as the Biden administration promised to do, is especially important for Black and brown kids who want a chance at the’American dream.’ At this point, it’s hard for millennials to even live with the fear of student debt on their shoulders.” O’Neil, 30, Maryland

“THROUGH SHEER WILL AND LITERAL LUCK, I MANAGED TO AVOID THE GOVERNMENT’S BEST EFFORTS TO EXPLOIT ME AND MY FAMILY.”

“Having recently graduated with my second degree, student loans are, unsurprisingly, not a foreign concept to me. Throughout undergrad, I was essentially told by the government that my parents—two working-class people from rural Appalachia—made too much money for me to qualify for aid. This didn’t deter the government from eagerly granting us loans, however. Thanks to sheer will and good luck, I managed to escape from my first degree with ‘only’ about $20K in debt.
The fact that my parents not only took out loans on my behalf but were
able to help me handle upfront costs is not because they could afford to,
as the government claimed. It was because they took personal financial risks (the government and private banks love to capitalize on struggling families of first-generation college students). It was because they worked overtime (which was luckily available to them).

It was because we begged the university financial department for spare money (apparently there’s a lot of that just laying around for whoever happens to figure out they can ask for it first). So when I say it was by sheer will and literal luck that I managed to finish my degree from a public university in four years saddled only with $20K, what I really mean is that I did it despite the government and private banks’ best efforts to exploit me and my family.
“The Biden Administration can pretend to have their hands tied by Congress, but student debt could be wiped out with the stroke of a pen. It’s too late for me. I’ll be paying this debt back for the rest of my life. I have hope, however, that we can still radically alter the way our higher education system works and the way we access it. We must. If we don’t, it will become as useless as the youngest generations have come to believe after years of jaded experience. Maybe it already has. But maybe, even though I’m stuck inside the burning house, I can help extinguish the fire.” — Marissa, 25, Ohio

“ELIMINATING EVEN JUST $50,000 OF MY LOANS WOULD BE A GREAT RELIEF”
“After completing my undergraduate and graduate degrees from a private university, I have $200K+ in student loans to pay off. At some point I stopped counting how much debt I was in because it became too overwhelming to even think about. To help pay for these degrees, I took out private and federal loans, used personal savings, and my parents dipped into their retirement money and refinanced their house. Even with scholarships, financial aid, and working part- and full-time jobs while earning my degrees, tackling all this debt seems impossible.
Before the pandemic hit, my monthly loan payments were more than my monthly rent in D.C. I currently have a full-time and a part-time job but saving for a house, wedding, and a family or buying a car or home are just not realistic to me at this point due to my student loan debt. Eliminating even just $50,000 of my student loans would be a great relief, but it’s only a start. As a Black woman, the full cancellation of my debt will help me build generational wealth that my family did not get to earn. If the Biden-Harris administration truly cares about addressing racial and economic justice and leveling the playing field, eliminating student debt is a great place to start.” Kelsey, 27, New Jersey

“THERE IS JUST ONE BARRIER AFTER ANOTHER TO EDUCATE PEOPLE WHO COULD BE POTENTIAL CHANGE LEADERS”
“My first experience with student loans came with my enrollment in law school. COVID-19 completely derailed my savings plan to alleviate financial stress during my first year of law school, so I found myself taking out the maximum amount of debt to pay for my tuition and living costs. As I navigated my way through FAFSA, I found that debt is a trigger and fell into a depression. During the summer of 2020, before I had even taken a class, I became concerned with the fact that I would graduate with tons of debt to pursue my career. I tried to find repayment programs that would help me out, but it was weird and terrifying to me that the level of interest equaled almost another semester in school.
It is counterintuitive to finish a rigorous graduate program just to be controlled by your debt for the next decade. I wish I had more of an idea about financing my legal education before I started and that I did not have to figure out tips and tricks on my own. It is discouraging to know that I will be fighting injustice as a lawyer with thousands of dollars in debt in addition to the hardships of being a part of the 5% of lawyers who are Black. There is just one barrier after another to educate people who could be potential change leaders. Student debt should not be one of them.” Imani, 23, Virginia

‘Marxism Leninism Maoism Basic Course’

Three things that cannot be long hidden: The Sun, The Moon and The Truth.

 Latin cross Purple heart

We live in a society where if we are ‘too nice’, people will question our intentions.
Some people are nice for the sake of being nice. Being Too nice is shady.
Trust issues are deep! Everybody is trying to get over the next person.
The world is crazy….why am I awake at this time commenting on anything…. And the real problem is too many out there mimicking the same.
Not gonna lie I’m one of those people that questions.

But I’ve been right more than I’ve been wrong.
Also I’m not mean. I just got to know you before I trust you.

I hate that that’s how things are Or they try to take advantage of it …
We live in a society where the free thinking, open-minded people are considered “crazy” and the ignorant, closed-minded people are “normal”.
— Esoteric Exposal

Being nice needs to be fashionable again if we want to live in a better world.
Being nice has many positive benefits in that not only will you be more liked but trusted and respected too… We all have our successes, but we all have  our struggles. A lot of the time, we don’t get the opportunity to choose what story we‘re dealt in life.

The view on today’s society is very conflicted. While some say it’s the most accepting and open-minded society to date, others still feel confined by what society defines as the “norm.” Not everyone can be satisfied, but changes should try to encompass a majority of the population. Living and growing up in the U.S., one could argue that I was privileged to have the right to expression and form individual opinions. While I am grateful that I was able to have this right, I wonder if today’s society in general truly is as positive as critics say.

In my opinion, society favor$ the privileged as the Richer Get Richer.

If we are privileged to live in a world where we can show up as ourselves, that is a gift. For sure, not everyone has access to it. Some live in a world where they must hide their beliefs, their gender identities, dilute their dreams or worse,  battle through atrocities the likes of which we have nary a concept of. After all, most    live in their own “confined” bubbles surrounded by people who agree with their view of the world lock, stock, and barrel.

HAVE VERSUS THE HAVE NOTS AND IF YOU DON’T HAVE iT …
IT IS TOUGH TO GAIN FROM THAT POINT ONWARD!!!

Many people say that we now live in “consumer societies” where money and possessions are given too much importance. Others believe consumer culture has played a vital role in improving our lives. What we do have: is the ability to choose what we do with that story.
I’m a big believer that every day, we have a choice.  A lot of people don´t think like this because in our community we value popularity and looking cool as opposed to having our own opinions and beliefs. Society has also ruined us as people by placing expectations on us to have and like things. We no longer have our own identities.

How society destroys our identities
Posted by Deja Harrison

For this essay I wanted to talk about the lack of individuality in our lives because of the influence society has on us. How because of growing up in society we don’t truly have our own identities. We don’t really know who
we are because of how much society has impacted us. I wanted to focus on how society does this and why we feel the need to fit into it.

¨ You shouldn’t wear high heels because you’re already really tall, you’re going to make everyone else look so short. ¨

¨ Yeah you’re gonna look like a jolly green giant in them, just wear flats or sneakers.¨
¨ You think so, I don’t wanna look super huge or tower over anyone. ¨

I was 12 years old and my best friend Imani and I were trying to figure out what we were going to wear to our 7th grade school dance. It was my very first school dance and I wanted to look perfect. I had settled on wearing a dress with heels until Imani reminded me of my height. I began to feel uncomfortable being tall and I started to do and wear things that prevented me from looking any taller than I already was, including wearing heels. I ended up wearing flats that night even though I really wanted to wear heels. I let someone else impact how I felt about myself and make me feel awkward about something that I can’t help.

I was unknowingly lowering my own confidence so that everyone else around me could be comfortable. People don’t realize the ways that influential society doesn’t allow us to be our true selves. We cannot completely be ourselves in this world without upsetting some people. Whether we realize it or not we are always trying to get the approval of others. We long for acceptance and equality from others before we understand it within ourselves. We are constantly unconsciously trying to please others. This makes the priorities in society very questionable.

According to Siimon Reynolds of Forbes “Identity affects how you dress.

Who or what you choose to be is your identity. What wages you ask for or what prices you charge your clients. It even affects how much money you save or spend.¨ We are asked at a very young age who we are and who we are going to be in this world that will make us successful in life. Celebrity Josh Radnor says ¨When I taste success that’s when I’ll be happy¨.

How Your Self Image Determines Your Wealth Siimon Reynolds.
Contributor Entrepreneurs

This article is more than 7 years old. I’ve been reading an interesting book lately.
It’s called “Identity Economics. How Our Identities Shape Our Work, Wages, And Well Being. “It raises some pertinent points for anyone who wants to achieve great wealth in their life. The authors show that how you see yourself plays a huge part in how much you earn, and indeed how much wealth you believe you deserve.

Identity affects how you dress., what wages you ask for or what prices you charge your clients. It even affects how much money you save or spend. With self identity being so critical to financial success, it is truly amazing that people don’t spend time daily developing their self image so that it supports them, rather than pulls them down.

Do you do anything at all to maintain a healthy self identity?

Most people don’t, for two reasons:
They have no idea that their identity is affecting how much they earn. Even if they do know, they don’t know what they can do to change their identity.
In fact, changing your identity is relatively easy, although it takes some months to do it. You just use the same technique taught to Olympic athletes to enhance their performance.

Mental rehearsal.
That is, every day for at least ten minutes, close your eyes and mentally
“see” yourself performing superbly at work. Earning large amounts of money.  Being happy and healthy.

Enjoying your ideal lifestyle.
At first it seems implausible that something so simple could affect your performance.
But there are literally thousands of scientific studies that show that, over time, it does.
And remember this: You’re visualizing how things will go anyway, all day long. It’s just how the brain works. So you might as well take control of the process and visualize exactly what you want. With regular daily practice you’ll find you will be more confident, more at ease, more effective. You’ll also find your economic identity will have changed.

And soon after,  your wealth.

One does not truly know their identity and who they want to be when from birth we have each been influenced by everything we see and hear around us. In our communities we see things negative and positive that affect overall who we become. Other people shape our identities before we do because of the effect people have over each other. People change people and that’s something that will never change in the world.

We will always be taught, influenced or inspired by something we witness from another person. We all try to fit into the norms of society in order to seek approval from others.
We seem to seek approval from other people before we seek it from ourselves.

I never understood why this was.
We value other people’s opinions over our own. We give up who we really are and lose a part of our identities from doing this. We prioritize fitting in and conformity over self-love, acceptance and individuality.

I wonder what age it is that you lose the satisfaction of being yourself and not caring what other people have to think of you over what you think of yourself. Not everyone follows this. There are people out there who don’t care about the approval of others or society.

They go against the ordinary and do as they please.

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” —Ralph Waldo Emerson said that.

Some people like the risk of not fitting in and being unique. This is a risk that we should all take. I envy people who don’t care about what other people think or say about them and are content with being themselves. A lot of people don´t think like this because in our community we value popularity and looking cool as opposed to having our own opinions and beliefs. Society has ruined us as people by placing expectations on us to have and like things. We no longer have our own identities.

We let society pick our identities apart and tell us that they aren’t normal, beautiful, or amazing when we shouldn´t. You are the only one who lives your life so according to Siimon Reynolds ¨you might as well take control of the process and visualize exactly what you want.” We are complicit with that system. And in that way, we can say that nice, white people who really aren’t doing anything other than being nice people are racist.
There is no neutral place. It’s not fair for you to not be the person you want to be and are supposed to be.

Be yourself and love yourself.

However, we don’t live in a perfect world. Some people drive us crazy,
and we (admittedly) drive a few mad as well. Those we dislike are inconsiderate, rushed, malign our character, question our motives, or just don’t get our jokes at all — but expect us to laugh at all theirs.

We are profoundly social creatures – more than we know.
In Social, renowned psychologist Matthew Lieberman explores groundbreaking research in social neuroscience revealing that our need to connect with other people is even more fundamental, more basic, than our need for food or shelter. Because of this, our brain uses its spare time to learn about the social world – other people and our relation to them.
It is believed that we must commit 10,000 hours to master a skill. According to Lieberman, each of us has spent 10,000 hours learning to make sense of people and groups by the time we are ten.

Social argues that our need to reach out to and connect with others is a primary driver behind our behavior. We believe that pain and pleasure alone guide our actions. Yet, new research using fMRI – including a great deal of original research conducted by Lieberman and his UCLA lab — shows that our brains react to social pain and pleasure in much the same way as they do to physical pain and pleasure. Fortunately, the brain has evolved sophisticated mechanisms for securing our place in the social world.

We have a unique ability to read other people’s minds, to figure out their hopes, fears, and motivations, allowing us to effectively coordinate our lives with one another. And our most private sense of who we are is intimately linked to the important people and groups in our lives.
This wiring often leads us to restrain our selfish impulses for the greater good. These mechanisms lead to behavior that might seem irrational, but is really just the result of our deep social wiring and necessary for our success as a species.

Based on the latest cutting edge research, the findings in Social have
important real-world implications. Our schools and businesses, for example, attempt to minimize social distractions. But this is exactly the wrong thing to do to encourage engagement and learning, and literally shuts down the social brain, leaving powerful neuro-cognitive resources untapped. The insights revealed in this pioneering book suggest ways to improve learning in schools, make the workplace more productive, and improve our overall well-being.

Ol’ Hermit Joe

Written by J. Lewis Dean

Introduction

Ol’ Hermit Joe: Is the non-fictional story of a man who lived alone in the woods. His name was Joe, to all who ventured back into the thick woods where he lived and became his friend, he was known to them as “Hermit Joe.”
There was no such of a thing as passing by Joe’s place, for he had no place, he literally lived in the woods off of Old Eighth Street Road and Whippoorwill Road. You had to park your vehicle up on the public road and walk through the woods, and suddenly you would happen upon Joe, crouched down by a fire and some rocks, preparing a meal he had put together from the land.
Come along with me and get to know this man of no modern means, and of little concern for what lay outside of his woods, except for the friends he made in life.

Come and get to know, Ol’ Hermit Joe.

J. Lewis Dean Back right after I graduated high school in 1979, I had a friend of mine, I called us concert friends. Cause that’s basically what we were. We never really hung out together much except for going to rock concerts over in Jackson, Mississippi. My friend’s name is Rodney White. Rodney and I used to go to some of the concerts together and we’d have a lot of fun doing that.
One day Rodney and I were talking about all sorts of things, and even talking about the tale of the “White Thing” , a kind of Bigfoot-like creature that used to roam in the local woods here. Rodney also brought up the notion of old hermits living in the woods. Some of them could be old outlaws living wild in the woods to avoid going to prison, or just got tired of the way life’s struggles were and decided to walk away from it all one day and live life free like an animal in the woods.
Then Rodney told me he knew of such a man. A man that had kind of gotten tired of the struggles of life, and had retreated to the woods to live out his days in true freedom and peace from the rest of the world’s hustle and bustle. His name was Joe, “Hermit Joe” as most folks had called him. They called him Hermit Joe, because that’s what he was, a hermit that lived in the middle of the woods with no house, no shelter except for what he had thrown together around a large oak tree, that I ever saw.

Several times Rodney would tell me of Hermit Joe, and how he had stopped and visited him earlier that day. He said Joe always smiled and was very happy to see him and always remembered his name no matter how much time passed between visits. So after listening to so many stories about Hermit Joe, I decided I would love to meet this man myself, and say hello to him. I asked Rodney, “Hey the next time you’re going to visit Hermit Joe, can I go along with you?” “Sure.” Rodney said, “We’ll go this coming Saturday if you want?” I said; “Absolutely, I will be ready.” I was excited, finally getting to go and see the man I had heard so much about. I do believe it was on a Sunday afternoon that Rodney and I were talking that day, so I had a whole week to wait until I would be meeting Hermit Joe. I was very excited, and the waiting just made it worse. Many things ran through my mind about Joe all week long. Things like what would make a man just retreat to the wilderness like that? Was it a breakdown of some sort? Did he just get tired of witnessing the decline of moral value in people? Was it because of some tragedy that may have happened to his family or in his family? And the ever so intense thought, was he some kind of big fugitive on the hideout from the law enforcement? All questions that crossed my mind, but yet they were questions that I could not answer, for I had no answer to them, due to the lack of information I had concerning him.

It seemed that the days between Sunday and Saturday just dragged on by slowly, as slow as they possibly could. I had actually begun to wonder if Saturday would ever arrive. I went to work every morning at my job and on the way there and back, I had to drive very near the woods where Joseph lived, and each time I would look at those thick woods hoping to maybe get a glance at him, but it never happened. I don’t think Joe ventured too close to the edge of the wilderness or near the public road where he could be seen or encountered by people. Instead he just stayed back in the thick and let the world around him roll on by without himself being a part of it.
There were many rumors about Hermit Joe and why he had become a hermit as he was. One rumor was that Joe was a very wealthy man, he had made his fortune in developing some type of heavy construction machine, but I do not know what machine that was to have been. Another rumor was that Joe had a family, a wife and children, and they had been killed in a terrible automobile accident and Joe survived, and the grief was so strong that he recuse himself from the world around him and eventually ended up living in the woods.

Some people also said that Joe had been born very poor, and that as a result he had received no formal education at all, and his birth family pretty much lived the way he did, reclusive and hermit like, and that is how he ended up living this way. Some people also said that Joe was a Vietnam Veteran, who just came home from the war kind of confused mentally, as many soldiers did from that hellish war, and that he turned to those woods as a way of life for him. The same type of lifestyle he had been so used to during his times as a soldier in the battles in the jungles of Vietnam. All of these rumors and more, but not a shred of evidence to indicate which one, if any were true at all.
Finally Saturday morning arrived and sure enough Rodney called me on the phone like we had talked about. Within a few minutes we were on our way to Joe’s.
It only took us about fifteen or twenty minutes to arrive at the location where we would park the car to walk on into Joe’s camp. We got out of the car, and I have to admit, I began to get a little nervous at this point, for it was my first time to go and meet the man that lived in the woods. Rodney and I began walking up this primitive pathway through some very thick brush, and woods, and within a couple of hundred yards, suddenly we happened upon Joe. He was crouched down in the pathway, had a small fire going and was eating something.

He looked up and saw Rodney and I, and he immediately said; “Hey Rodney How Have You Been Son?” Rodney spoke kindly back to him telling him that he had been just fine and asked Joe how he had been? Joe replied; ” I’ve been great Rodney, just great.” Joe had a few goats back there on the property, they were his goats but they just kind of roamed wild there. Rodney asked Joe; ” What’s that you’re eating there Joe?” Joe replied; “It’s a baby goat Rodney, it was three days old and something killed it, I’m thinking a wolf.
But I didn’t do too bad on it, it was only three days old and I got three meals off of it.” Joe had eaten all of the meat from the goat and was now sitting there crushing the very cooked bones with two stones and eating the marrow from inside them for more nutrition. When I saw this although it made me kind of queasy, I knew right away this man had some knowledge of survival. Joe looked up at me for a brief second and then asked Rodney; “Who is your friend there you brought with you Rodney?”

Rodney smiled and said; ” I’m sorry Joe, this is my buddy Jeff, he and I went to high school together and we go to concerts together, I was telling him about you and he wanted to meet you himself.” Joe looked up at me and smiled through his big beard and said; “Hello Jeff, it is very nice to meet you son, you have a good friend there in Rodney, I think a lot of him, so any friend of Rodney’s is a friend of mine too.” Of course I thanked him and told him it was very nice to finally meet him. It was clear within seconds of meeting him, that this was far from the poor uneducated man rumor I had heard previously.
This man was very well spoken and pronounced his words excellently, he was indeed educated. Not far from his camp, maybe fifty yards away, I noticed some old camp like bunkhouses and a lake. I asked Joe what those were? He told me that this used to be some kind of summer camp or something for people and kids, those bunk houses are where they would stay. I asked Joe if he ever stayed in them, and he said no he didn’t ever go in them much at all. He said all of that belongs to the lawyer that now owns all of this land. I pretty much stay right here where I am at now. I looked at his camp, which mainly consisted of a few sheets of tin roofing nailed to an oak tree, along with some supplies laid around, like an axe, a machete and other tools needed in the wilderness.

I could also tell from Joe’s voice, that he was certainly not a born and raised Mississippian. He had more of a northern tone to his voice. It was rumored that he was in fact from the north. But a more reliable source said he was from California. So I think it is safer to go with the California report rather than the other rumors. But one rumor I can completely put to rest right here and now, is that Joe was certainly not some criminal hiding out in the woods from the long arm of the law. Joe didn’t have a mean bone in his body. The man was as nice as he could be.
I visited Joe a few times, twice with Rodney and a couple of more times on my own. I was so surprised a few months after that first visit I went on with Rodney, that the next time Rodney and I entered Joe’s primitive camp, the first words from Joe’s mouth were; ” Hi Rodney and Jeff, welcome back my friends.” I was astonished that after one brief visit months prior, that Joe immediately recognized me and was able to immediately remember my name.
For I had been such an insignificant guest on that first visit, but remember he did. Just sitting or standing around talking with Joe back there in those woods would blow your mind. You would find yourself hanging on to every intelligently spoken and eloquently pronounced word. You would find yourself knowing you were talking with a well educated man, possibly and most likely even more educated than yourself, yet he lived so primitively, it would leave you wondering why?

One day while visiting Joe on my own, I was standing around talking with him, and finally I got up the nerve to ask him, ” Joe you seem so intelligent and well spoken, why is it that you choose to live this way?” Joe looked at me and smiled and said; “Live what way Jeff? What do you mean by that? You mean why do I live alone in the forest? Why am I Hermit Joe as so many refer to me as? I smiled back at him and said; ” Well yeah Joe, why?” He laughed and pulled at his long matted beard and said; ” The way you say it Jeff “Why do you live like this” seems to indicate to me that you see something odd or wrong with the way that I choose to live.”
I immediately let him know that I did not think it was wrong and I did not think it was odd, but more unusual. Joe laughed, ha! ha! “It’s ok Jeff you hadn’t talked yourself into something you feel you need to back away from. I am not offended in the slightest. I have been asked that very same question many times by many different people that venture back here. And my answer is always the same. Back here I have everything I need, there are no stores so
I need no money, no utilities, no phone and no hassle. The lawyer comes by about once or so a month and brings me some provisions that I may need or not need, so I do ok back here, and it’s just the way I like to live for now.”

That was Joe’s signature answer for why he lived back there the way he did.
I suppose he didn’t feel obligated to explain himself or his choices in depth to anyone. But he was always very kind and very gentle with those who took the time to come and visit the man in the woods, myself included. Now granted, some of these people who came to visit Hermit Joe, came just to see the Hermit, so they could say they had seen him. Kind of like when you go to the fair and they have the exhibit of the oddities.
You don’t really want to know you’re the kind of person that would go in there and look, but something just draws you to it in spite of it, and you end up just having to behind the curtains and look at the headless woman, or the two headed goat, I am sure that is why many ventured back into the woods to visit Joe, they wanted to see the hermit, Hermit Joe. I am also sure that Joe, being the intelligent man that he was, knew that was the reason that some of these people were coming to see him. But once you met Joe, the oddity part soon faded and Joe the person came into your only view, and you found yourself talking with a man who treated you with more respect and kindness probably than anyone in your life had before. You became a friend of the man you had always known as; “Hermit Joe.”
Some several months after I got to know Joe, I started dating a girl named Nancy. And after Nancy and I began dating seriously, I decided it was time for her to meet Joe. She had heard of Hermit Joe before, but had never met him before. So I decided that the following Saturday afternoon, I would take her to Joe’s campsite and introduce her to him. A long time buddy of mine named Johnny Gressett also wanted to go with us, for he too had heard the many stories and rumors of Hermit Joe and wanted to meet the man himself.

When Saturday came, Johnny and I drove out to Nancy’s and picked her up and off we went headed for Joe’s camp. We parked the car along the public roadside as usual and we headed up the trail into the woods to Joe’s camp.
Finally we came upon it, and there was Joe, crouched down sitting on his rock fiddling with some food he had scrounged up to eat. Joe greeted us very warmly as always. He looked up, smiled, and said; ” Hello Jeff, how are you doing today my friend? Looks like you brought some new friends with you this time.” I said hello to Joe and told him I was doing fine and that I had brought my girlfriend Nancy and my friend Johnny along with me to meet him.
When I said; ” My girlfriend Nancy.” Joe looked up at Nancy and said; ” Well hello Nancy nice to meet you, and told her she had a nice boyfriend in Jeff.”

Then said; “My, My, Jeff she sure is a pretty one, much prettier than the girl you were here with last weekend.” Then he laughed as did Nancy and Johnny. We stood around back there for about an hour talking with Joe that day, looking at his very primitive shelter and campsite. He was eating one of his chickens that just ran loose in the woods there. He caught it, killed it, and had cooked it on an open fire in his rock fire circle. He was stripping the meat off the bones of it as we stood around there talking to him. And it always seemed to me that Joe liked to point out his resourcefulness.
For he would tell you how many meals he could make for himself out of whatever he was eating. The chicken would allow him two days I believe he said. He showed us around the property a little bit that day, told us more about the campground that used to be there and the lodges that were still standing only maybe fifty yards away. Yet for some reason he would never stay in them, he always slept out under that oak tree on the ground.

After about an hour it was time for us to go, we stood around and said our good-byes to Joe and Nancy and Johnny told him how nice it was to finally meet him. And we headed down the trail back out to what seemed like a whole different world after being in those woods with Joe. Back to society. Just a ten minute drive from the city of Meridian, Mississippi. As we drove back. Johnny, Nancy and myself were talking about Joe. I asked them what they had thought about him? They both were kind of shocked that a man of his obvious intelligence level was living alone like that and was a hermit.
They couldn’t understand the reasoning for it. I suppose no one really could.
It was a mystery that I think many, many people tried to figure out, but never could. I went back a few times to visit Joe after that. And always found him to be the same, nice as can be. Always crouched down busy doing something, whether it was fixing food, working on or with a tool or making some kind of tool or trap.

Nancy and I got married on October 3rd, 1984. And I took a job that kept me very busy with little time to do anything but work. So I didn’t get out to see
Joe for a few more years, and I didn’t like that. For I liked the man a lot and enjoyed talking with him. But one day I had some time on my hands during the week and decided I would ride out to Joe’s place and see how he was doing. When I got there, I noticed immediately that the trail did not look like it had been walked in some time, for it was grown up in some weeds. But on the way back there I went anyway. When I arrived at his camp. Joe wasn’t there. I could see his camp, and his shelter, but no Joe. I stood around a minute and then I called out for Joe, but no one responded. Joe was not there.
As I came out of the woods back to my car, I was met by a local resident and he said, “Son, are ya looking for Joe?” I said; ” Yes sir I am.” He said; “Well I am sorry to tell you son, Joe isn’t back there anymore, Joe got sick and in a rest home in Meridian.” I was at the very least shocked to hear that Joe had fallen ill, for he seemed like a man that could overcome anything and everything, he was a man who had apparently in his life had done just that. The man then told me, ” Joe has cancer and got down pretty sick and they had to take him from those woods to the nursing center where they could care for him properly, even though the cancer was diagnosed to be terminal because Joe had refused to accept any treatments for it.”

That was it, the woods there off Whippoorwill Road just had a hollowness about them after that. Joe was no longer in there giving them the personality that they once held for all who knew Joe. I went home and told my wife that Joe was no longer in the woods, the days of Hermit Joe were gone, that he had gotten sick and they took him to the hospital where it was found out that he had cancer. He didn’t want to be treated for it, and therefore he had to be placed in a nursing facility so they could care for him during the bad times that come with a devastating disease such as cancer. They said the cancer was in his brain. And had affected him greatly, that he could not remember much of anything most of the time.
I remember one time as we drove past the nursing center where Joe was staying. I saw Joe standing outside. The nursing center was right smack downtown, Joe was surrounded by the city. He was looking around at it all too, it looked like he was taking it all in. Standing on cement, not surrounded by trees and bushes, and sleeping in a well made bed instead of the cool soil of the ground. I smiled and said; ” Hey yall there’s Joe!”

Then I thought about all the luxuries of life he was now experiencing,
such as the cement, the few trees, and the well made bed to sleep in and air conditioning and heat, and a restroom to use. Then I thought silently for a moment, and knew deep within my heart, where Joe would be right now if he had the choice, for he would be kicked back under that old primitive shelter of his, lying on his back looking up at the stars in the dark night sky, seeing the marvels made only by God in Heaven, before he closed his eyes to sleep and dream about the things he dreamt of.
Then I looked at Joe’s face, his eyes, I needed to see if the light was still in them, and I smiled because it was. I could see that even though they had removed him from his wilderness, the man within still lived on. One day while passing by there and seeing Joe standing around outside, I almost stopped and got out of the car to say hello to him. But I didn’t do it, I was afraid with his condition he would not know me, and I knew what that would do to a man like Joe, and I knew what it would do to me. So I just waved, blew my horn and kept on driving. I wish I had stopped just once.
Soon after that, I heard the word that Joe’s condition had finally caught up
to him. He had lost the battle with the cancer and was gone from our world for good. I know not where he was laid to rest, I imagine his body was sent back
to wherever he originally came from. Wherever he is buried, I wish one time, I could go by and just say Hello to the man who always knew me and was kind to this stranger that I was.

It wasn’t long after Joe’s passing, that I was in town somewhere, I think it was the mall, and low and behold I saw someone wearing a tee shirt, and on that tee shirt it had a drawing of a man crouched down sitting on a rock, fiddling with food, that man was Joe. And on this tee shirt were the words. Hermit Joe’s Always And Forever Missed.
As soon as I saw that shirt I smiled from ear to ear, Joe the old hermit in the woods, had become an icon and never even knew it, or maybe he did. Today.
I talked with the now sheriff of Lauderdale County, the county in which Joe’s woods were located. And he kind of put to rest a lot of the old rumors that still to this day float around about who old Joe was. He was not a fugitive hiding from justice, and he was not someone from the mafia in witness protection.
He may well have been a soldier at one time.

But the one thing that was true of Joe, was that he was indeed a man of great monetary wealth, which he didn’t really care about though. He had lost some people that he loved in life, but as to what drove him to make the decision to become a hermit, Hermit Joe? No one knows, or if they do, they aren’t saying.
I guess it’s really no one’s business why Joe chose to live the way he did, and the focus shouldn’t be on that. We, the ones who knew him, should just be able to count ourselves as being blessed to have known him and to have had him call us his friend. Every now and then I still take the drive down Old 8th Street Road and Whippoorwill Road, and as I pass by the location of where Ol’ Hermit Joe lived in those woods, he always comes in to my mind. I can see him smiling that smile, crouched over that fire preparing himself some kind of meal and always being polite and offering you some of whatever he had. But most of all, I remember the kindness this simple yet wealthy man showed to all who ventured in.

As I sit here in the modern comforts of my big brick home writing this story
of Joe and his woods. I wonder if somewhere, up there in Heaven, God has a special track of woods, and in those woods, is Joe sitting there crouched on a rock, living the way he was happiest, but surrounded by those he loved and lost. Hermit Joe no more, instead the circle is complete, Hermit Joe, now just Joseph, a child of God, called home to peace.

Why Don’t People Care When It Doesn’t Affect Them?

As I sat down to write one of my latest pieces on domestic violence, my buddy turned to me and snidely asked “Why do you care so much about domestic violence — you’ve never been beaten, right?”. “Right”, I replied as I continued typing. As I focused on the screen in front of me, my thoughts wandered into this question, this elephant in the worldwide room.

Why don’t we care about things that don’t affect us?

Well, maybe the bigger question is “Why do we ignore other people’s problems?” We are humans.
We are social animals that seek companionship and interaction with others
of our kind. At the deepest root of this is the idea that if another of our kind is being hurt or killed, it directly affects our ability to interact with that other being. One cannot interact with another human who is dead. Of course, one can interact with another human who is being hurt, but I can guarantee you that it won’t be a fun interaction.

Ratchet up the concept a few notches, and we come to dealing with (or ignoring) other people’s problems. Gun violence, theft, drug crimes, domestic abuse, child abuse, and any other “bad” thing you can think of, probably affects a person that you know, either directly or indirectly. As such, we are all victims of this bad stuff at some level. But apparently we are too busy with our days, our jobs, our smartphones and our apps, to even take a second to care about another human being’s issues.

In other words “it sucks to be you”.

What the hell kind of society do we have when we see fellow humans suffering, and all we can come up with is “it sucks to be you”? We see folks in car accidents, we see elderly folks slowly crossing a busy street, we see someone with a flat tire, we see someone littering, we see a man beating his wife in their car, and all we do is move on. It sucks to be you — right?

But in a flash, if WE are the person in any of those situations, then all of the sudden we look around wondering why human beings around us are going around us, instead of stopping to help. Now you are the “you” in “it sucks to be you,”. Of course, a friend or relative is only a phone call away right? Have you ever tried to call friends or relatives to help you move? Good luck.

The point here is that I care about what happens to other human beings
(and so should any of you) because I know that life throws us curve balls on occasion. Wild pitches that stress and confuse us, leaving us asking ourselves
if anyone cares about others anymore. It reminds me of another cold societal phrase — “every man for himself”. The idea speaks to the notion that if one of us has to suffer, it ain’t gonna be me.

Man, that’s cold. Reality, but cold nonetheless.

I have two kids just getting into their 20’s. Each in college, and generally good people. What I don’t want for them is a world where you have to look out solely for yourself, because nobody else gives a damn.

It’s reassuring that when I see car accidents or elderly people crossing the street, I still see a few random people getting out of their cars, and for a moment, out of their own lives, to help another human being.

We still have hope.

As a fellow human being, I would look to you, any of you, to be human once
in a while. To take some time to care about what other humans go through.

To understand how other human beings suffer. To feel that other human beings could use your help, or at least benefit from you caring and giving a damn.

Every bad thing that happens in society is usually caused by a human being.

There’s no reason why another human being can’t help to solve those problems.

Why don’t people care, when it doesn’t affect them? Maybe people ought to start.

… Because one of these days, the person needing help, or just some caring,
will be you. That’s why I care…

Your soul is a thousand miles away from my own soul, but no one is closer to my heart than you are. That thing you do to my heart is an unexplainable phenomenon. You’re too mature to worry about who likes you or who dislikes you.. You have more important things to do.. if they love you, You love them, if they support you, you support them.. if they hate you, don’t care if life goes on with or without them..

New Blessings, New Grace, New Favor, New Day, New Lessons, New Understanding, New Wisdom, Is the New Knowledge..

Someday everything will make sense. So for now, Laugh at the confusion,
The meaning of life is to have values, not things of value..
Know that the tears of yesterday, is the strength of today..

Smile through the tears and keep reminding yourself that everything happens for a reason..

Those who are faithful with something small will be faithful with something big, those who are dishonest with something small, will automatically be dishonest with big things too.. It seems normal, but you realized that these are values that few have… Do good to others..

It will come back to you in unexpected ways.. Life is too short to stress yourself with people who don’t even deserve to be an issue in your life..

The human mind is a miracle of God. What you focus on, you find and you feel. For that very reason, you attract into your life that which you give focus to, so focus on God. Because as your focus grows, so does God, & as you spend your energy on Him, He becomes real for others. Proverbs 23:7. So a man thinketh, so is he.

The #CCP Threatens Nuclear Strikes

Time to BREAK CHINA In 6 pieces … that will bring peace and remove a communist dictatorial threat !

‘Marxism Leninism Maoism Basic Course’ – Bing video
Introduction: Otto-Ernst Remer (August 18, 1912 – October 4, 1997) was a highly respected German Wehrmacht officer who played a decisive role in stopping the July 20, 1944 plot against Adolf Hitler. During the war he was wounded nine times in combat and ultimately promoted to Generalmajor (brigadier general). After the war he co-founded the Sozialistische Reichspartei (SRP). He remained a fervent National Socialist until the end of his days and is seen as a ‘Godfather’ in the postwar underground.

General Remer on the New Jewish World Order
“The main task of your generation is finding a healthy and honorable solution to the Palestinian question. Capitulating before Israel is not a solution; it is betraying the future generations. If you cannot obtain a victory today, the least you can do is not to capitulate without resisting. Instead of giving up, you must work seriously and create the economic, political and social conditions for the future victory. In the first place, you must conquer tyranny, decadence and corruption in your own heart! You must know that your strength is Israel’s weakness. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics collapsed like a rotten shed, whereas the vitality of the German people has been preserved in the seed and could lead us Germans to fresh progress. The Islam began in the 6th century as a cultural, spiritual and reforming movement against the superpowers of that time. The military strength of the Islam grew as a consequence of its spiritual strength.
The only real solution of the Palestinian question lies in the return of the Palestinian people to their fatherland, in the setting up of a true Palestine,
that should be able to confine within its limits the Jewish usurping state.
Any solution violently extorted, any unjust peace will be rejected by future generations. The regimes that are in power in the Arab and Islamic world are like dead bodies. They perished because of their weakness. The future belongs to the forces of Islam. The Hamas and the Jihad [two uncompromising Islamic movements] are the Islamic response to the Zionist challenge. This is what takes place in your countries today: your leaders are politically finished. Instead of stepping down in honor, they cling bitterly to power and
try to drag their peoples along into the precipice.”   Read More:

Breaking: The #CCP Threats Nuclear Strikes On #US After US Announces Investigation into Origin of #CCPVirus. “Our nuclear missiles must be so numerous the U.S. elite will tremble at the thought of military confrontation with #China at that time.” “Given the intensifying U.S. strategic containment of China, I would like to remind once again that we have many urgent tasks, but one of the most important is to keep rapidly increasing the number of nuclear warheads and strategic missiles like the Dongfeng 41 with extremely long-range and high survival capabilities. This is the cornerstone of China’s strategic resilience against the United States.

“We must be prepared for a high-intensity showdown between the US and China, at which point a large number of DF-41 and JL-2 and JL-3 will be the backbone of our strategic will. Our nuclear missiles must be so numerous that the U.S. elite will tremble at the thought of military confrontation with China at that time.
“On such a basis, we can calmly and actively manage our differences with the U.S. and avoid all kinds of gunfire. As U.S. hostility toward China continues to burn, we need to use our strength and the unbearable risks they would face if they took the risk to force them to remain calm.” Asian people are more likely to get Covid-19 and die, study claims | Daily Mail Online

So the CCP killed millions of people worldwide and tanked the global economy by releasing a bio weapon, and now they are threatening to nuke the US if they talk about it. That doesn’t seem like a great strategy. Both parties have been pushing for a hot war between either China (repubs) or Russia (dems). We’re at the mercy of greedy sociopaths. Sit back and enjoy the show. So Covid-19 really was the opening shot for World War III (WHICH is of the spiritual variety…)

China was never very good at lying either this is rather par for the course, however it was only bad to call them liars with this virus. Any other time they were IP thieving capitalists when it came to cloning products & not viruses.
It was a biological attack! When are people going to see this for what it is!?! China threatening nuclear war with the USA? What is our DEFCON status?
If they threaten to use nukes over investigating the Covid-19 origin.

That shows they are guilty.

Between the Chinese cyber hacks that put Biden (Their straw man) into office to the Chinese spy’s assigned to work with politicians, they are taking over the United States! Research started right here in the good ole U.S. of A and was outsourced to China only after red flags arose due to the fact it was believed it could be used as a biological weapon. We are way overdue for a global war and the elites want one bad. This is the end game they want.

Nuclear means global nuclear winter and a new ice age. China and the
USA would kill humanity if this ever happened. It would add jet fuel to an uncontainable flame. If you think about totalitarian regimes, the strongest forces which lead to leadership selection are nepotism and/or psychopathy.

If the nukes are made in China we don’t have to worry.
Everything made in China is junk.

The more ruthless you are the more likely you are to succeed, no place for empathy. That is why we end up with Stalin, Mao, Hitler ….. now Xi. Your propaganda is weak, chairman Xi Jinping must be worried that if the truth

China will be defeated if it goes into a misadventure spree.

Chinese PLA has not fought any war for decades. They may be numerous in numbers but weak and inexperienced. China would have its trade and energy interdicted thousands of miles before it even hit the South China Sea, w/in a short period it wouldn’t be able to feed its livestock + people, nor have energy or employ people. Don’t guide them…let them live in a Motley fool’s paradise…The last actual war they fought was against Vietnam, and they lost,

Only a guilty nation would threaten nuclear attack to prevent honest investigations into the search for truth in a global tragedy. CCP will never allow investigations of itself as it knows very well it’s at fault & will do everything to threaten the PLA but won’t strike. PLA knows if it strikes first then they will wipe out their own. You forgot. Trump is longer in office. If we do get attacked. Biden will do nothing.

An important thing to understand about the CCP is how all market enterprises trace back to it. There is no free press or free market. None can deviate from the party line. That being said, China is clearly at war with the West. Just look at recent Australian relations. Why not start here. They know it started in a lab in Wuhan. It’s coming.
Why is the CCP so scared of the US investigation? Face screaming in fear

Not knowing that since the cold war ended, America’s stockpile is now bigger, because the US doesn’t target any Russian locations anymore. Didn’t think of that did they? There is no winning in a nuclear war. Just in case, here’s one sobering thought. China can easily sacrifice 1 MILLION in a war, and not bat an eye. It’s NO COINCIDENCE that all the posturing really started after the most “popular” president ever (Rolling on the floor laughing) was “elected”.

Traveling Back in Time

Traveling back in time: 1969 This entry has me time traveling back
60 years to the impossibly distant year 1960. Surprisingly, I have a lot of memories from that time in childhood when I was 9 years old. Part of the reason is that I have so many rich associations of that special place in the past where time itself didn’t seem to exist.
The USS Enterprise is thrown back in time to Earth during the 1960s by the effects of a high-gravity “black star”. Enterprise ends up in Earth’s upper atmosphere, and is picked up as a UFO on military radar. Also Neil Alden Armstrong, the first man to walk on the Moon.  Armstrong set his left boot on the lunar surface at 02:56 UTC July 21, 1969, then said, “That’s one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind.”
He was born in Wapakoneta, Ohio, on August 5, 1930.

Armstrong prepared his famous epigram on his own.
In a post-flight press conference, he said that he chose the words “just prior to leaving the LM.” In a 1983 interview in Esquire magazine, he explained to George Plimpton: “I always knew there was a good chance of being able to return to Earth, but I thought the chances of a successful touch down on the moon surface were about even money—fifty–fifty … Most people don’t realize how difficult the mission was. So it didn’t seem to me there was much point in thinking of something to say if we’d have to abort landing.” In 2012, his brother Dean Armstrong said that Neil showed him a draft of the line months before the launch.

In the 1960’s, Haight-Ashbury 60s – Haight-Ashbury, now called the Upper Haight, was a haven for cultural revolutionaries: hippies, artists, and psychedelic rock musicians from Jefferson Airplane to Grateful Dead.
But not all of its hippie history has vaporized disillusioned down the rabbit hole, thanks to local preservationist Norman Larson. As American air raids wreaked havoc on Vietnamese soil in 1967, in San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury neighborhood it was the Summer of Love.
A series of natural and political events would transpire before Haight-Ashbury would become the epicenter of the “Free Love” mentality. During its heyday, which culminated in 1967’s infamous Summer of Love, young dreamers converged in the Haight by the thousands. Historians deem the neighborhood the birthplace of the hippie movement, marked by peaceful protests and psychedelic experimentation.

The era’s greatest luminaries, from Jerry Garcia to Allen Ginsberg to Jimi Hendrix, all lived nearby. Then the movement waned, and the area began to decay along with it. “By the fall of 1967, Haight-Ashbury was nearly abandoned, trashed, and laden with drugs and homeless people,” blogger Jon Newman wrote in his essay Death of the Hippie Subculture. “With the Haight in ruins and most of its residents gone, it was simply unable to operate as a hub for music, poetry and art.”

Of course, the Haight still has a certain appeal.

There’s no better jazz-and-pizza combo in the city than at Club Deluxe, Amoeba Music offers a truly epic collection, a parklet just popped up in front of Haight Street Market and the 12-piece band that assembles in front of American Apparel on Sunday mornings always move crowds to dance in the street. Yet we can’t help but heave a sigh while pushing past gaggles of gawking tourists or stepping over the man sleeping on the sidewalk at noon.

While a stroll down Haight Street today certainly evokes nostalgia, it also makes us yearn for a place that was once the epicenter of peace and love and youth in revolt, a place we never had the chance to experience ourselves but will be forever ingrained in San Francisco’s complex,
progressive history. These are the types of people that’s trying vividly to ruin our country from inside our government today. (Bill Gates Nancy Pelosi Chuck Schumer And The Commies Found Them.)

How Many Vaccines Did Kids Get in the 1960s? – VAXOPEDIA

Kids got multiple doses of DPT, DT, polio, and smallpox vaccines in 1960. Using the same anti-vaccine math that gets us to 72 doses today, these kids in 1960 got 31 doses! In 1963, the measles vaccine was developed, and by the late 1960s, vaccines were also available to protect against mumps (1967) and rubella (1969). These three vaccines were combined into the MMR vaccine by Dr. Maurice Hilleman in 1971. Different COVID-19 Vaccines | CDC

Can people vaccinated against COVID-19 still spread the coronavirus?

Syringes with the Astrazeneca active ingredient (l-r), Comirnaty from Biontech/Pfizer and from Moderna lie prepared in trays for vaccination against Corona.

When the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention changed its guidelines about mask-wearing on May 13, 2021, plenty of Americans were left a little confused. Now anyone who is fully vaccinated can participate in indoor and outdoor activities, large or small, without wearing a mask or physical distancing.
Anthony Fauci, chief medical adviser to President Biden, said the new guideline is “based on the evolution of science” and “serves as an incentive” for the almost two-thirds of Americans who are not yet fully vaccinated to go ahead and get the shot.
But some people cannot be vaccinated because of underlying conditions. Others with weakened immune systems, from cancer or medical treatments, may not be fully protected by their vaccinationsChildren aged 12 to 15 became eligible for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine only on May 10, 2021. And no COVID-19 vaccines are yet authorized for the nearly 50 million children in the U.S. younger than 12.

As restrictions are lifted and people start to leave their masks at home, some people worry: Can you catch COVID-19 from someone who’s vaccinated?

Vaccines don’t always prevent infection
Researchers had hoped to design safe COVID-19 vaccines that would prevent at least half of the people vaccinated from getting COVID-19 symptoms.
Fortunately, the vaccines have vastly outperformed expectations. For example, in 6.5 million residents of Israel, aged 16 years and older, the Pfizer–BioNTech mRNA COVID-19 vaccine was found to be 95.3% effective after both shots. Within two months, among the 4.7 million fully vaccinated, the detectable infections fell by 30-fold. Similarly in California and Texas, only 0.05% of fully vaccinated health care workers tested positive for COVID-19.
Vaccine developers often hope that, in addition to preventing illness, their vaccines will achieve “sterilizing immunity,” where the vaccination blocks the germ from even being able to get into the body at all. This sterilizing immunity means someone who’s vaccinated will neither catch the virus nor transmit it further. For a vaccine to be effective, though, it doesn’t need to prevent the germ from infecting an immunized person.
The Salk inactivated polio vaccine, for instance, does not completely stop polio virus from growing in the human gut. But it is extremely effective at preventing the crippling disease because it triggers antibodies that block the virus from infecting the brain and spinal cord. Good vaccines provide effective and durable training for the body’s immune system, so when it actually encounters the disease-causing pathogen, it’s ready to mount an optimum response.
When it comes to COVID-19, immunologists are still figuring out what they call the “correlates of protection,” factors that predict just how protected someone is against the coronavirus. Researchers believe that an optimum amount of “neutralizing antibodies,” the type that not only bind the virus but also prevent it from infecting, are sufficient to fend off repeat infections. Scientists are also still assessing the durability of immunity that the COVID-19 vaccines are providing and where in the body it’s working.

Can a vaccinated person spread coronavirus?
Immunologists expect vaccines that protect against viral illnesses to also reduce transmission of the virus after vaccination. But it’s actually tricky to figure out for sure if vaccinated people are not spreading the germ.
COVID-19 poses a particular challenge because people with asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic infections can spread the disease – and insufficient contact tracing and testing mean those without symptoms are rarely detected. Some scientists estimate that the number of asymptomatic COVID-19 infections in the overall population could be 3 to 20 times higher than the number of confirmed cases. Research suggests that undocumented cases of COVID-19 in people who either were asymptomatic or experienced very mild disease could be responsible for up to 86% of all infections, though other studies contradict the high estimates.
In one study, the CDC tested volunteer health care personnel and other front-line workers at eight U.S. locations for SARS-CoV-2 infections weekly for three months, regardless of symptoms or vaccination status. The researchers found that fully immunized participants were 25 times less likely to test positive for COVID-19 than were those who were unvaccinated. Findings like this imply that if vaccinated people are so well protected from getting infected at all, they are also unlikely to spread the virus. But without contact tracing to track transmission in a larger population, it’s impossible to know if the assumption is true.

What we know for sure is that if someone does get sick with COVID-19 after vaccination, in what is called a “breakthrough infection,” symptoms will be milder. Studies have found that people who tested positive for COVID-19 after getting just their first vaccine dose had lower levels of virus in their bodies than unvaccinated people who tested positive. The researchers believe the decreased viral load hints that vaccinated people who do contract the virus will be less infectious because they will have much less virus that could be spread to others.
A preprint study which has not yet been peer-reviewed suggests that the Moderna mRNA COVID-19 vaccine can produce coronavirus-fighting antibodies in the oral and nasal fluid. Since that’s where SARS-CoV-2 makes its entry, antibodies in the mouth and nose should block the virus from getting into the body, effectively providing “sterilizing immunity.” This would also mean vaccinated people probably wouldn’t spread the virus through respiratory droplets.
These bits of evidence are promising. But without more studies, scientists cannot yet conclude that COVID-19 vaccines really do protect against all transmission. Studies attempting to directly answer this question through contact tracing are just beginning: Researchers will track COVID-19 infections among vaccinated and unvaccinated volunteers and their close contacts.

Protection and prevention go hand in hand
Vaccines help slow down the spread of an infectious disease by breaking the chain of infection. Those who are infected eventually have fewer and fewer unprotected people to pass the virus on to. This is how a vaccine increases herd immunity – susceptible and not-yet-immunized people are surrounded by a “herd” of people who have become immune, thanks to vaccination or previous infection. But studies suggest that, for a combination of biological and social reasonsvaccination alone is unlikely to achieve herd immunity against COVID-19 and fully contain the coronavirus.
In fact, vaccination alone can take a long time to eradicate any disease. Even diseases that are nearly “eliminated” – such as chickenpox, measles and pertussis – can resurface with waning immunity and declining vaccine rates.

The recent outbreak of infections among the vaccinated New York Yankees shows that vaccinated people not only can still get infected, they might also transmit the coronavirus to close contacts. Highly tested groups, such as professional sports teams, spotlight the fact that mild, asymptomatic infections among the vaccinated in the general population might actually be more frequent than reported. A similar outbreak in airport workers in Singapore shows that, even among the fully vaccinated, new and more infectious variants can spread fast.
The CDC’s relaxed guidelines on masking are meant to reassure vaccinated people that they are safe from serious illness. And they are. But the picture is less clear-cut for the unvaccinated who interact with them. Until near herd immunity against COVID-19 is achieved, and clear evidence accumulates that vaccinated people do not spread the virus, I and many epidemiologists believe it is better to avoid situations where there are chances to get infected. Vaccination coupled with continued masking and social distancing is still an effective way to stay safer.

Terrifying If This Is True.

A Vaccine Side Effect Leaves Women Wondering: Why Isn’t the Pill Safer?
Apoorva Mandavilli…

Apoorva Mandavilli on Twitter: “So: What exactly does the CDC’s mask guidance mean?
And should you trust it? It’s been a day. And a week. But it’s best to do this while everything is fresh, so here’s a 🧵” / Twitter

Last month, as the Food and Drug Administration paused use of Johnson & Johnson’s Covid-19 vaccine to evaluate the risk of blood clots in women under 50, many scientists noted that clots associated with birth control pills were much more common. Kelly Tyrrell, an ultramarathon runner in Madison, Wis., was advised to stop taking estrogen after blood clots were discovered in her lungs. The clots linked to the vaccine were a dangerous type in the brain, while birth control pills increase the chances of a blood clot in the leg or lung — a point quickly noted by many experts.

But the distinction made little difference to some women.
“Where was everyone’s concern for blood clots when we started putting 14-year-old girls on the pill,” one woman wrote on Twitter.
Another said, “If birth control was made for men it’d taste like bacon and be free.”
Some women heard, on social media and elsewhere, that they should not complain because they had chosen to take birth control knowing the risks involved. “That just made me double down,” said Mia Brett, an expert in legal history focused on race and sexuality. “This is such a common response to women’s health care — that we point out something and it’s dismissed.”
The torrent of fury online was familiar to experts in women’s health. “They should be angry — women’s health just does not get equal attention,” said Dr. Eve Feinberg, a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist at Northwestern University. “There’s a huge sex bias in all of medicine.”

Dr. Feinberg and many of the women online acknowledge that contraceptives have given women control over their fertility, and the benefits far exceed the harms. Rebecca Fishbein, a 31-year-old culture writer, started tweeting about the inadequacy of birth control pills almost immediately after the announcement of the pause.
Still, “birth control is an incredible invention, thank God we have it,” she said last month in an interview. “I’ll fight anyone who tried to take it away.” contraceptives have also improved over the years, with intrauterine devices and oral options that offer an ultralow dose of estrogen. “Over all, it’s incredibly safe,” Dr. Feinberg said. “Everything that we do has risks.”
But Dr. Feinberg said it was crucial for health care providers to discuss the risks with their patients and coach them on worrisome symptoms — a conversation many women said they had never had. Kelly Tyrrell, a communications professional in Madison, Wis., was 37 when doctors discovered potentially fatal blood clots in her lungs.

image.png
Ms. Tyrrell is an endurance athlete — wiry, strong and not prone to anxiety.

In early 2019, she began waking up with a pain in her left calf. After one particularly bad morning, an urgent care visit revealed that she had high blood levels of “D dimer,” a protein fragment that indicates the presence of clots. She had been taking birth control pills for 25 years, but none of the doctors made a connection. Instead, they said that given her age, fitness and the lack of other risk factors, her symptoms were unlikely to be from a blood clot.
They sent her home with instructions to do stretches for her calf muscle. When she felt a tightness in her chest while running in Hawaii after her grandmother’s funeral, doctors said the cause was probably stress and anxiety. In July 2019, she finished a 100K race in Colorado and assumed her aching lungs and purple lips were the result of running for 19 hours at a high altitude. But she knew something was seriously wrong on the morning of Oct. 24, 2019, when she became short of breath after walking up a short flight of stairs.
This time, after ruling out heart problems, doctors scanned her lungs and discovered multiple clots. One had cut off blood flow to a portion of her right lung. “I instantly burst into tears,” Ms. Tyrrell recalled. The doctors put her on a course of blood thinners — and told her never to touch estrogen again. Ms. Tyrrell switched to a copper IUD. Over time, she added, the incident had escalated into a sharp rage that was renewed by the Johnson & Johnson news.

“Part of my anger was that a medication that I took to control my fertility ended up threatening my mortality,” she said. “I’m angry that I hadn’t been counseled better about that risk, or even what to look for.” The comparison was intended to reassure women of the vaccine’s safety. Instead, it has stoked anger in some quarters — not about the pause, but about the fact that most contraceptives available to women are hundreds of times riskier, and yet safer alternatives are not in sight.
Emily Farris, 36, was prescribed oral contraceptives at age 18 to help with migraines. In all of the conversations she has had with her many doctors over the years, “never once was blood clots brought up,” she said in an interview. On Twitter, some critics pointed out that the inserts with birth control packs clearly describe the blood clot risk. “My response is a bit incredulous to that,” said Dr. Farris, a political scientist at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.

The inserts for most medications have a long list of possible side effects, placing “a high burden for folks to try to sort through medical research, to sort through what probability and statistics mean,” she said. Even with a Ph.D.-level education, “I can’t assess those risks,” Dr. Farris added. “I think most Americans need someone to translate what the legalese kind of pamphlet is into real terms.”
For Ms. Tyrrell, that elucidation came much too late. Her lungs have not felt the same since her diagnosis, but she is not sure whether that is because of lingering damage from a previous blood clot, new clots that she should be worried about or simply her age, she said, adding, “It’s never not on my mind anymore.” In this episode we have the pleasure of speaking with Kelly Tyrrell.Kelly is the Director of Research Communications at University of Wisconsin-Madison and an accomplished ultra-runner.

Over the past four years, she has made it on the podium in several ultra-marathons, earning the top spot in three. #5 The Privilege to Run with Kelly Tyrrell | Audio Length: 01:02:18 (vurbl.com)
Wait for the data, some said. And now, that data has arrived. There is no evidence – based on epidemiologic investigation and whole genomic sequencing – that the Sept. residence hall outbreak caused spillover into the community. Description of a University COVID-19 Outbreak and Interventions to Disrupt Transmission, Wisconsin, August – October 2020 | medRxiv

@AjayKSethi  talks about herd immunity, COVID-19 vaccination, and how we should start thinking about safely getting back to the activities we care about —-> Badger Talks – When will we achieve herd immunity? – YouTube

Back to basics regarding herd immunity and the % vaccinated statistic as evidence for achieving it. In my ID epidemiology class, which just wrapped up, I teach the following assumptions inherent in those calculations and the prospect for herd immunity (applied to SARS-CoV-2): 1/8

Assumption 1: The disease agent is transmitted within a single host species. This seems true. We know humans can infect animals but there is no evidence that animals are a significant source of infection for people (i.e., a non-human reservoir). https://cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/animals.html… 2/8

Assumption 2: Transmission must be relatively direct. This is true. Majority of people are infected with SARS-CoV-2 through exposure to respiratory droplets within close range of someone who is infectious. https://cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/more/science-and-research/surface-transmission.html… 3/8

Assumption 3: Vaccination or natural infection produces solid immunity. So far, this is true. Immunity from vaccines last at least six months and is preferred over immunity from natural infection, which may not be as robust. New variants are the wildcard, hence “the race”. 4/8

Assumption 4 applies to the % vaccinated calculation: The probability of an infected person encountering every other person in the population is the same (i.e., random mixing). This assumption is never met because people don’t randomly mix. Neither do cattle in a herd. 5/8

Back-of-the envelope math to estimate how much vaccination is needed to achieve herd immunity is problematic because those who are vaccinated are not representative of those who are not, and right now unvaccinated people are gathering (e.g., children). 6/8

Talk about the U.S. or an entire state achieving herd immunity is just silly. But people >16 in a household or at a gathering where everyone is vaccinated can feel confident that there won’t be an outbreak of COVID-19 in their herd. 7/8

We just need to focus on encouraging people to choose vaccination. As more people are vaccinated, case rates and hospitalizations will go down further and stay down (barring variants escaping immunity), and we will all begin to feel safer and even more normal as a community. 8/8

The energy over the last year has got me on an Emotional ride of crying out of the blue and drained then laughing like I’m a lunatic. Idk maybe I am going krazy. Plus, I can feel negative energy coming from others and it really weighs heavy on me. I haven’t paid attention to the cycles. Mercury retrograde is always draining us,,, Old pain is present. On the other hand, with a lot of energy to move on and happy feelings, w can relieve ourselves of that pain.

Reel for Empath By David Sauvage – EMPATHS UNITE!
We are empaths. We feel what you’re feeling, whether we like it or not.
We feel it in our bodies.
We know how you’re doing. When you say you’re doing fine, we know it isn’t true. We know what’s happening. Because it’s happening to us, too.
EMPATHS UNITE!  –  Are you an empath? Do you feel the feelings of others as if they were your own? Are you confused about what to do about it? Do you want to develop this ability into a real superpower?
We’re gathering empaths together for one highly sensitive night to learn from each other.  – Splash!!!

Reel for Empath David Sauvage – YouTube

Empaths Unite! – WE ARE EMPATHS

We feel what you’re feeling, whether we like it or not. We feel it in our bodies.
We know how you’re doing. When you say you’re doing fine, we know it isn’t true.
We know what’s happening. Because it’s happening to us, too.
We do not mean this conceptually. We mean it literally.

We feel the feelings underneath your words, coming at us like bad breath. When you are anxious, we are anxious with your anxiety. When you are sad, we are sad with your sadness.
When you light up, we light up, too.
We may or may not be psychic. We may pick up information from other realms, but not necessarily. We may see auras or have visions or we may not.
What we share is nothing more and nothing less than the experience of your feelings in our bodies.
Feeling deeply is a beautiful thing, don’t misunderstand, but it does not make you an empath. What makes us empaths is that we feel you deeply.
We have been called sensitive and hyper-sensitive. We have been called weak. We have been told to toughen up. We have been told to get with the program.
We have been told lies.
We listened, but we did not believe it. We believed in something else, something we didn’t have words for.

We believed in Another World.
We believed in it, but we didn’t say it.
Now is the time to say it.
We call for a world built on empathy.

We call for a world that honors the emotional realm as sacred.
We call for a world that values the deepest experience of human beings and animals and the Earth herself above business, above money, above power.
Emotions are not obstacles on the way to achieving your goals. Emotions are the soul’s way of expressing your deepest needs.

The era of achievement is over. The era of empathy has begun.
You do not have to figure anything out. You just have to learn the language of emotions, their texture, their subtlety, their flow.
Do not attach words to your feelings too quickly. Do not explain them.
Not until you know them. Honor your feelings as they are.

Everyone likes to say separateness is an illusion. As an abstract idea, it doesn’t really matter. If you want to know it, really know it, know this: your emotions are my emotions; your pain is my pain; your joy is my joy. These are not words, this is not poetry, this is our life.
Empaths, we have been hiding. We have been hiding because we felt rejected. But they were not rejecting us. They were rejecting themselves.

They are ready now.
They are ready because there is no other choice. Not anymore.
They are ready to believe the stirrings of their hearts.
They are calling for us.
Let us face this responsibility together. Let us gather in circles, in person and online, physically and energetically.

We will feel each other’s struggles. We will feel the struggles of all those whose struggles we have brought with us.
We will acknowledge, to each other, the profound service we have been rendering, unacknowledged, to all of you.
We will laugh at the silliness of it.
What a relief.

We will learn from each other. How to protect ourselves. How to put on the proper shield. How to untangle the deepest entanglements.
We will unlock the locks. We will empty ourselves, tune into whomever we like, discover what is knowable, and use this knowledge for their benefit or ours.
We will release everything that is not ours. We will call back everything that is.
We will close our eyes, feel the feeling of the circle, feel our fellow empaths feeling it. We will disappear together into this feeling of togetherness.
We will amplify this feeling by bringing our attention to it. We will amplify it beyond our circles, beyond the spaces where we’ve gathered, beyond our understanding of the stale rules of cause and effect.
This is the joy of true interconnection. What everyone is searching for, our bodies have already mastered.
We will amplify this feeling with such power, it will explode the great lie of our culture.
We know our purpose.
We feel you, we feel all of you, we feel everything.
We are here so that you may know yourself through us. So that you may know yourself as us. So that we may be as one.

Globalist Plot to Mandate COVID-19 Vaccine Exposes Shocking Satanic Conspiracy

COVID-19 VACCINE MANDATE: The Horrifying Hidden Agenda
There are at least 3 essential takeaways from that extremely revealing and radioactive presentation made by an experienced bioweapon scientist who appeared to be the point man for the FunVax project. As follows:
(1) The U.S. Military biological weapons program has been creating a vaccine that is specifically formulated to immunize targeted individuals and populations against the expression of the God gene, also known as vesicular monoamine transporter 2 (VMAT2). The suppression of VMAT2 has been a primary goal of US biological weapon laboratories for decades with the ostensible purpose of neutralizing terrorists who act on their religious fanaticism. However, the real goal is to inoculate people the world over against the inclination toward spiritual pursuits and/or mystical experiences (see the screenshot below). Some deep insiders have even surmised that the real purpose of the FunVax is to permanently stunt soul development.

(2) The most practical form that a VMAT2 vaccination program can take in light of the necessity for extreme secrecy is a respiratory virus, which could be covertly released throughout any city or nation or region of the world. This would eliminate the problem posed by those societies that are averse to vaccinations administered by injection. Religious cultures, in general, are increasingly fearful of the true intention behind immunization shots. Many folks have not only experienced and/or witnessed adverse vaccine side effects, they are also rightly skeptical of their efficacy.
(3) The proposed FunVax vaccine would be aerosolized in a manner similar to the systematic, wide area and indiscriminate spraying of chemtrails over the unsuspecting population below. Because the U.S. Armed Forces have forever denied the existence of chemtrails, most citizenries have been conditioned to falsely believe they are contrails. In this way, aerosolized vaccines can be furtively administered to the citizenry of any nation that illicitly permits chemical geoengineering operations.

Misinformation about adrenochrome and its supposed links to Covid-19 has gone into overdrive. But what is it? We separate the substance’s literary history from its real-world functions.
Read more about the bizarre life of the ‘truth about adrenochrome’ story here
If you’ve spent much time online lately, like everyone else in lockdown, you’ve probably fallen down some strange Covid-19 rabbit holes. One word you might have seen is “adrenochrome”. It’s popular with the conspiracy set: it makes you young, or high, or part of a Satanic tribute. Before you become hypnotized by the swathes of Facebook comment threads, you should know how it got its mystical status.

Where have I heard of adrenochrome?
Aldous Huxley’s 1954 essay “The Doors of Perception”,

Aldous Huxley’s 1954 essay “The Doors of Perception”, written mostly about his experiences with mescaline, discusses the possibility that adrenochrome is a compound with similar effects to the psychedelic cactus. He has not taken it, and doesn’t know how one would obtain it, saying just that it’s spontaneously produced by the human body. He describes it as “a product of the decomposition of adrenaline”, which is, surprisingly, correct.
There’s a brief mention of “drencrom” in the 1962 novel A Clockwork Orange, where it’s an optional addition to the cocktail (glass of milk) Moloko Plus, but probably the most cited use of the compound is in Hunter S Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. It might be a novel, but many assumed it was a real thing that people really did. Thompson did not explain the adrenochrome buzz in  great detail, but this probably isn’t too far from his vision: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (10/10) Movie CLIP – Too Much Adrenochrome (1998) HD – YouTube
It’s important for anyone reading Fear and Loathing to remember that Gonzo journalism, the writing style Thompson invented, is based around fictionalization and exaggeration of real-life events. In the DVD commentary on the 1998 Fear and Loathing adaptation, – Bing video director Terry Gilliam said Thompson told him he made the whole adrenochrome thing up.

Does adrenochrome exist at all?
Yes. Just like Huxley said, adrenochrome is a compound formed by the oxidation of adrenaline. Its main medical use is to slow blood loss by promoting clotting in open wounds. It’s available for purchase online by researchers, with most outlets stating its source is synthetic and its uses are the inhibition of COMT (which deactivates certain neurotransmitters), and the synthesis of prostaglandins (fats involved with blood clotting).
When asked for comment, the University of Auckland neuropharmacology and neuroscience departments said it wasn’t on their radar.
It’s got a cool name, and some medical uses, but by and large it’s not a very exciting compound. Sorry.

Is there a hallucinogenic drug called adrenochrome?
In his 1973 book Legal Highs, Adam Gottlieb described adrenochromes being “physically stimulating” and inducing “a feeling of well-being, slight reduction of thought processes”. It’s unknown whether he ever took the drug or if this was based on hearsay.  Legal Highs also contained entries on catnip and guarana, so the bar for a “high” was low.
Most reports of adrenochrome throughout literature sound a lot like DMT — it’s very possible Beatniks just gave DMT the cool name “adrenochrome” and the real compound got caught up in the mix.

Why are people talking about it now?
Adrenochrome is a popular topic in conspiracy circles: it’s a drug of the Hollywood elite, it’s addictive, it’s harvested from tortured children in Satanic rituals, they reckon. The current strain of theory is that a huge amount of celebrities have come down with Covid-19 due to a tainted batch of adrenochrome.
Most celebrities classified as “liberal Hollywood elite” are American or British, two nations that have been struggling to manage the Covid-19 outbreak, so it’s not hugely surprising that many have contracted the virus.
Adrenochrome harvesting, according to the conspiracies, is done by: drinking blood, heart surgery, or tapping into the brainstem. The adrenal glands are located above the kidneys, so that’s probably where you really want to look.

Why does anyone believe children are tortured to harvest adrenochrome?
The blame must land on Hunter S Thompson. In Fear and Loathing,  the character Dr. Gonzo says: “There’s only one source for this stuff… the adrenaline glands from a living human body. It’s no good if you get it out of a corpse.”  You could also argue that this conspiracy is weirdly similar to the plot of the film   Monsters Inc., and maybe that’s part of the cultural background making this theory seem reasonable to some.
Does adrenochrome have anything to do with Covid-19?
No.
Are you, the mainstream media, lying to us about this?

Meet Kyler Aubrey, the golf fan who got the ball after that amazing
bunker shot by Phil Mickelson at PGA Championship.

Incredible moment at PGA Championship – Statesboro Herald
Buried in Kyler Aubrey’s closet is a Masters flag from 2013 signed by just one player: Phil Mickelson. When Aubrey met Mickelson and his wife Amy that year at Augusta National, Mickelson immediately bent down to sign Aubrey’s flag. But Mickelson accidentally wrote the wrong name on it – subsequently scribbled it out – and a horrified Amy promised the Aubrey family that her husband would sign a new one and they’d have it shipped.
Sure enough, the flag showed up a few weeks later at Aubrey’s home in Statesboro, Georgia. On Sunday at the PGA Championship, Aubrey acquired another piece of Mickelson memorabilia. He and his dad Josh were just inside the ropes by No. 5 green at Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course when Mickelson holes out from the sand, securing the birdie that helped him separate himself from the pack.
“When we were there we could actually see a perfect view of Phil making the shot and we were just screaming. When Phil made it, he came up to us and said, “Here’s my lucky ball, I want you guys to have it, thank you for coming,” Josh said.
“…We were so in the moment that we didn’t even notice that Kyler had dropped the ball. Phil turned around and picked it back up and set it on his lap.”

Love to see it.  @PhilMickelson #PGAChampionship pic.twitter.com/UYIRUHnU3k
harry bird (@harrage24) / Twitter  May 23, 2021

Kyler Aubrey, 28, has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair. At Kiawah,
the sand is particularly hard for him to navigate – something Josh realized in 2012. The Aubreys had practice-round tickets to that PGA Championship, and then lucked into tickets for the rest of the week, too. Statesboro is only a 2 ½-hour drive from the South Carolina coast.

“While we were going around the course we kept getting stuck,” Josh said. “David Feherty came up to us and said I noticed you guys kept getting stuck – this was like Sunday afternoon – he said I want to give you this all-access pass, you can go anyway you want to on the golf course.”
Feherty’s generosity made a world of difference in traversing the difficult terrain. It also helped spark lifelong friendships. Roughly an hour before McIlroy closed out his win that year, Josh and Kyler were near the scoring
tent. “I was like, I wonder if we can go up here,” Josh remembered thinking. “We went in there and they let us through and all the golfers that finished would walk right by us.”
The Aubreys had spoken with Graeme McDowell in a practice round early last week, and when McDowell saw them sitting there on Sunday, he joined them
to chat with Kyler for nearly an hour. McDowell then introduced the family to Rory McIlroy.
Through the years, the Aubreys have maintained those friendships as they’ve attended Tour events all around the Southeast like the Players Championship and the Tour Championship. McIlroy always seeks out Kyler to catch up, Josh says, and the Aubreys have stayed at McDowell’s house a couple of times while attending the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. McIlroy provided tickets for this week’s PGA Championship.

A few years ago, Rickie Fowler, who has also become a friend, approached the Aubreys on the back of the practice range at Bay Hill and, when he found out they didn’t have Masters tickets for that year, got them tickets for the whole week.
Statesboro is also only an hour and a half from Augusta, so Kyler and Josh
have frequently attended the Wednesday practice round at the Masters.
Kyler enjoys Wednesdays the most because it’s when he can interact with the players he’s developed relationships with through the years. He has been a golf fan since he was just a little boy, when Josh used to take him to the golf course and bungee his car seat into the golf cart while he played. Kyler loved to watch.
“When he was little, like 2 or 3 years old, he would get over to the TV & change the channel to the Golf Channel. Instead of watching cartoons, he was watching the Golf Channel,” Josh said.

Tiger Woods was just gaining in popularity about that time, and the Aubreys attended the Tour event in Hilton Head, South Carolina, in 1999 – the only year Woods played the event.
“Kyler was 6 when that happened, when he played,” Josh said.
“That just kind of took it to a new level and then that’s all he wanted to do.”
Kyler’s younger sister Sloan, 19, also loves golf. She has played since the sixth grade, and continues to play, though not collegiately. Sunday at the PGA Championship was particularly special because Sloan was with the boys, too.

When Kyler was 22 and Sloan was 12, their brother Jordan, 17, died in a car accident. That’s when Kyler and Sloan grew closer. Golf has always brought the family together. The PGA Championship, however, marked the first time — in nearly two years the Aubreys had gotten to be fans because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
At a tournament, Kyler is always an easy person for Tour players to spot.
eople would see him and he’s always in a good mood, he loves being out there, he’s always got a big smile and he always wants to give those guys hugs,” Josh said. “I think that’s what he likes so much about golf is they’ll interact with him.” Kyler brightens their day, just as they brighten his.

Open 2013: VIDEO – Phil Mickelson hits flop shot backwards | Daily Mail Online

Brotherly love: Phil Mickelson wins the PGA Championship with brother Tim on the bag

Mickelson’s victory has inspired every golfer in his 40s or even early 50s to dream big again. Now it’s a reality for older golfers to compete and win on the biggest stage.
“It was unbelievable watching that,” said Colleyville resident and Texas A&M product Ryan Palmer, who is 44. “I was glued to the TV. It was a very special, very emotional win. It just shows you that anyone can win out here. There’s no doubt in my mind that I can win out here again. It’s just a matter of time.”
Along with players in their 40s, Mickelson’s victory has also resonated with the younger players on tour. Jordan Spieth, a 27-year-old who has already won three majors, used the terms “wild” and “incredible” to describe Mickelson’s victory.
Spieth also acknowledged how Mickelson has made himself available to the younger players. He’s always been really helpful to the younger guys on getting us pumped up, inspired, somebody you could bounce ideas off of,” Spieth said. “To have that person be so welcoming and be so good to the younger generation out here too and then set the example he has, I think we’re really lucky with that.”

The respect goes both ways. Mickelson raved about seeing 48-year-old
Richard Bland win for the first time on the European Tour earlier this month. It was Bland’s 478th career start on the European Tour. He’s also enjoyed seeing players in their late 40s such as Stewart Cink and Brian Gay win on tour of late as well as players such as Spieth find their way back to the winner’s circle.“
There’s places to find motivation and inspiration all over,” Mickelson said.
“I really get a lot more out of playing with the young players than they get out of playing with me because I get to see what I need to be able to do to compete.”
Nobody is playing the game better than Mickelson these days.
He crushed a 366-yard drive, the longest of the day, on the 16th during Sunday’s final round at the PGA Championship, and he made the clutch
shots down the stretch.
Everybody noticed, including the 2020 PGA Championship winner Collin Morikawa. Morikawa was 23-years-old when he won the PGA compared to Mickelson being 50.
“Golf’s in a great spot. Anyone can win. Anyone can play well,” said Morikawa, who is in Colonial’s field following a runner-up finish in 2020. “I thought about Phil’s win, and it’s not like I’ve seen Phil’s entire career. He won his first event 30 years ago. I’m 24 now. I still consider him as a competitor. It’s not like he stopped and he’s trying to get better. He’s trying every day to get better.
“It’s cool to see someone at 50 like that come out and win because it just gives me hope. It gives me just that passion because I love this game and want to play as long as I can.”

ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 27, 2017) – World Golf Hall of Fame member and
5 time major champion Phil Mickelson joined Emmy-nominated television personality David Feherty Monday, March 6 at 9 p.m. ET on the season premiere of Feherty. Part I of a two-part interview with Mickelson, the premiere will kick off the seventh season of the original series, which will celebrate the 100th episode milestone in 2017 and welcome Farmers Insurance(R) as the show’s presenting sponsor.

A 42-time PGA TOUR winner, Mickelson has built a career around his flair
for the dramatic and an aggressive playing style, with the sum of countless signature moments elevating him into one of the most beloved fan-favorites in the history of the sport. Filmed at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, Mickelson discusses a wide range of topics with Feherty, including: · Winning his first Masters in 2004, and why his 2010 Masters victory was the first time he ever cried after winning a golf tournament.

· Justifying his second shot on the 13th hole at Augusta National from the
pine straw in his final round of the same 2010 Masters, and explaining how it was a calculated “percentage play,” accounting for the least margin of error.

· The outpouring of emotional support his family received from fans and the golf community when both his wife Amy and mother Mary were diagnosed with breast cancer just six weeks apart in 2009.

Emotional Masters win for Mickelson

In 2010, Mickelson won the Masters Tournament on April 11 with a 16-under-par performance, giving him a three-stroke win over Lee Westwood The win marked the third Masters victory for Mickelson and his fourth major championship overall.[47]
Critical to Mickelson’s win was a dramatic run in the third round on Saturday in which Mickelson, trailing leader Westwood by five strokes as he prepared his approach shot to the 13th green, proceeded to make eagle, then to hole-out for eagle from 141 yards at the next hole, the par 4 14th, then on the next, the par 5 15th, to miss eagle from 81 yards by mere inches. After tapping in for birdie at 15, Mickelson, at −12, led Westwood, at −11, who had bogeyed hole 12 and failed to capitalize on the par 5 13th, settling for par.

Westwood recaptured a one-stroke lead by the end of the round, but the momentum carried forward for Mickelson into round 4, where he posted a bogey-free 67 to Westwood’s 71. No other pursuer was able to keep pace to the end, though K. J. Choi and Anthony Kim made notable charges. For good measure, Mickelson birdied the final hole and memorably greeted his waiting wife, Amy, with a prolonged hug and kiss.[48]
For many fans, Mickelson’s finish in the tournament was especially poignant, given that Amy had been suffering from breast cancer during the preceding year. Mary Mickelson, Phil’s mother, was also dealing with cancer. CBS Sports announcer Jim Nantz‘s call of the final birdie putt, “That’s a win for the family,” was seen by many as capturing the moment well.[49]

Tiger Woods had a dramatic return to competitive play after a scandal-ridden 20-week absence; he was in close contention throughout for the lead and finished tied with Choi for 4th at −11. Mickelson and others showed exciting play over the weekend, and the 2010 Masters had strong television ratings in the United States, ranking third all-time to Woods’s historic wins in 1997 and 2001.[50]      SOURCE:   Phil Mickelson – Wikipedia·

Record viewership for Feherty in 2016
Season six of Feherty last year earned the highest “average viewers per minute” on both a Live+Same Day, and Live plus 3-day DVR playback basis since the series initially premiered in 2011. The two-part 2016 season premiere of the series featuring Jordan Spieth became the second and third most-watched Feherty premiere episodes on record (2011-2016) behind only the original series premiere the Monday following the U.S. Open in June 2011.
Part II of Spieth’s interview also became the most-watched premiere of any Golf Channel original production since Arnie on Masters Sunday in April 2014.

Feherty is coming off a banner year in 2016, highlighted by sitting down with now four U.S. Presidents: Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump; serving as an NBC Olympic correspondent in Rio; appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon; being profiled on the Emmy award-winning HBO original series, Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel; and playing a key role in NBC Sports’ unprecedented 12-week stretch of premier golf events beginning with The Open and concluding with the Ryder Cup.

Described as “Golf iconoclast” by Rolling Stone, and “a cross between
Oprah Winfrey and Johnny Carson” by The New York Times, Feherty has made a name for himself not only through his self-titled Golf Channel talk show, but as one of the most irrepressible personalities calling golf over the past two decades. Beyond golf, Feherty continues to capture new and broader audiences with his wit and self-deprecating nature. A native of Northern Ireland and a former professional golfer who claimed 10 worldwide victories and a spot on the 1991 European Ryder Cup team, Feherty is now a proud American citizen who has risen above a history of alcoholism and addiction to become an Emmy-nominated television host, New York Times best-selling author and comedic relief for thousands of men and women in uniform.

David Feherty’s Charmed Life: Golf’s Iconoclast Comes Clean.
How a hard-partying former pro cheated death, got sober and changed the game – all while remaining unquestionably cool.

David William Feherty, (born 13 August 1958) is a former professional golfer and current golf broadcaster. As a touring professional he won 5 – European Tour events, seriously competed at the Open Championship twice (1989 and 1994), and played on Europe’s 1991 Ryder Cup team.
Late in his career he joined the PGA Tour. Since retiring, he has worked as a television personality; from 1997 through 2015 Feherty served as an on-course reporter for the PGA Tour on CBS. In 2011, he introduced a self-titled interview series on Golf Channel and subsequently joined NBC Sports full-time in 2016.

A Vandyke-bearded bipolar alcoholic who sometimes covers PGA tournaments while dressed like a pirate will be doing the play-by-play. “I’ve never been sure about the whole drug-testing aspect of the Olympics,” says David Feherty, a former European Tour player from Northern Ireland whose training regimen once included weed, cocaine and a daily dose of 40 Vicodin and two and a half bottles of whiskey. “If they come up with a drug that helps you play golf better, I am going to be so pissed – I looked for that for years.”

In the staid world of pro golf, Feherty is a smart, funny wild card whose cult celebrity is transcending the sport. He covers PGA tournaments while describing a player as having “a face like a warthog stung by a wasp” on live TV, does standup, writes bestselling novels and hosts a Golf Channel show where he gets guests like Bill Clinton and Larry David to open up about their games and lives. Feherty’s secret? Sober since 2005, he’s now got nothing to hide. “One of the advantages of having a fucked-up life is that other people are more comfortable telling you about theirs,” he says. “I see from a different side of the street than most people.”

Born on the outskirts of Belfast, Ireland
Feherty turned pro at 18 and quickly embraced the European Tour’s hard-living lifestyle. In 1986, after winning the Scottish Open in Glasgow, he went
on a bender — and awoke two days later on a putting green 150 miles away – alongside Led Zeppelin’s road manager, with no recollection of getting there or what happened to his silver trophy. Once while playing in the Swedish Open, he went out for a drink and woke up the next day in Denmark. — “After that, I always kept $600 in my wallet,” he says, “because that’s exactly what it cost me to get back to the golf club just in time to miss my starting time.”

After a middling pro career, he became a PGA Tour commentator in 1997, eventually moving to Dallas, raising a family, getting diagnosed with bipolar disorder and sobering up. An insomniac who still struggles with depression – “I get overwhelmed by sadness several times a day and spend a lot of time in tears” – Feherty has managed to achieve success by channeling his restlessness into his work. “I now take 14 pills a day – antidepressants, mood stabilizers and amphetamines,” he says. “The Adderall is enough to tear most people off the ceiling, but I can take a nap.”

For Feherty, 2016 will be a turning point. After 19 years working as a commentator for CBS, he’ll move to NBC – a transition that allows him to take his talent beyond the fairways. In addition to the Olympics, he’ll cover the international Ryder Cup and other tournaments while continuing to host his talk show – and is even looking to conquer new sports.

“Remember Fred Willard in Best in Show?” he asks. “If there’s a place somewhere for a golf analyst where no technical knowledge is required,
I would love to jump in – I just want to be challenged again.”

As he prepares for the next chapter in his improbable career, Feherty spoke to Rolling Stone about partying like a rock star, cultivating his rumpled mystique and changing the face of golf.

A lot of musicians are also avid golfers – why do you think that is?

So many musicians play golf, especially people in rock & roll, but most of them use golf as an alternative to drugs and alcohol. I think for addicts, spare time is their worst enemy. And you know, golf takes up time – actually it’s one of the problems with the game, but it works in our favor.

Speaking of, there’s a lot of talk these days about trying to make golf faster, to attract younger viewers and get more people playing. Does the sport need to change to survive?

Golf has always gone against the image that it’s for rich white men, and to a certain extent, it is, but before Sam Snead it was a bunch of twitty old duffers smoking pipes and wearing jackets. Sam Snead really made it look like an athletic pastime. Arnold Palmer kind of started the modern era – he made it sexy back in the ’50s and ’60s. And Tiger Woods reinvented the game.
We’re seeing the effect of that now, with these youngsters that have come up – Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth and Jason Day and Rickie Fowler, and dozens more of these colorful characters – they were 9, 10, 11 years old when Tiger Woods was on his feet, and they’re making the game cool again. Golf reinvents itself every 20 or 30 years or so.

Thirty years ago, you won the Scottish Open – then woke up two days later
on a green alongside Led Zeppelin’s former road manager.

Can you tell the story there?

Well, I won the 1986 Scottish Open and it seemed like a good idea. That was back when I was really just getting into not just golf and being successful, but the rush of performing in front of a bunch of people and applause and adulation. I didn’t know it at the time, but I’m bipolar and it was something to deal with the strangeness in my life. I got addicted to painkillers fairly early. You know, “comfortably numb,” as Pink Floyd put it. And that’s where I needed to be at the time. And I’m Northern Irish, so I remember the last physical I had with my doctor where alcohol became a problem. He looked at the numbers and said, “Hey, have you ever thought about getting help?” And I said, “No, I can drink it all by myself.”

That particular instance was kind of during the ascent of those problems.
I headed into Glasgow that night to a concert and woke up two days later at Gleneagles, which was 150 miles away, and Peter was poking me with a stick like a dead stag. I had half of a train ticket to London that I hadn’t used.
So I came to London and got back to Scotland – but I had no idea how. It’s still confusing to this day. Oh, and the Scottish Open trophy is still lost. God only knows where the hell it is.

What was a typical day like for back then, in terms of drugs and alcohol?
A typical day was 30-40 Vicodin and two and a half bottles of whiskey…real whiskey. Whiskey with an ‘e.’ There was cocaine, there was dope.
When I think about it now I’m like, “Why am I alive?”

You mentioned bipolar disorder and kind of self-medicating.
When did you actually get diagnosed?

Really only about ten years ago. That was right at the time when I was sober. That was the first time I had seen a psychiatrist. And I went for about six of those [sessions] before I got properly diagnosed. I was like, “Oh shit, really? There’s a word for how I feel?” It was quite a revelation to me. I was with CBS at that point, and let me see…I’ve been in the broadcasting industry for almost 20 years now.

What finally helped you get sober?

It was two things: My wife and Tom Watson. I was doing a TV thing in Canada with Jack Nicklaus and Tom, and at one point, Tom just put his hand over the camera and said, “You’re not well, are you?” and I said, “No, I’m not.” I asked him how he knew, and he said, “I can see it in your eyes.” And I said, “What do you see?’” and he said, “My reflection.’”

And I didn’t know that Tom had a problem at that point. Very few people did. He said, “You need to come with me when we’re done here.” And I’m trying to back out; we’re on Prince Edward Island, and Tom’s [lives in] Kansas City, so
I said, “How am I going to get to Kansas City?” And I hear this voice behind me say, “I have a G5!” So I’m getting heckled by Jack Nicklaus, who sent me there with his G5, and I went with Tom and he looked after me for 2 or 3 days and I’ve been sober ever since.

But I would emphasize it has a great deal to do with my wife, as well.
When I met her I was penniless, I had lost my damn [playing] privileges in the United States, I was homeless, I had a vehicle that was all I had, because I had been through this horrifying divorce. I was just a penniless, homeless, alcoholic drug addict and she looked at me and said, “Well I can fix that.”

I read you have short-term memory loss because of all that.
Have you forgotten things on air?

Oh yeah! But to be honest with you, adrenaline kind of kicks in – and
I’m not quite sure how much of it is due to the blows to the head. I’ve had a tremendously accident-prone career with injuries, you know. I’ve been run over three times by motor vehicles. When I got sober I took to riding a bike, to fill in some of that free time that was so dangerous, and I’d been sober about nine months when I got run over by a trailer on my way home. Well, I got hit by the pickup truck that was towing the trailer first. I remember flying through the air and thinking to myself, “If this is a fucking beer truck, I will actually die from irony.”
