The C☯︎smic Guide𓁞 @SeedOfAwareness

When nothing makes sense and the world seems upside down, listen to your heart, it will never lie about your true feelings.

The Man Who Tried to Weigh the Soul!
In 1907, a Massachusetts doctor named Duncan Macdougall performed an unusual series of experiments. Intrigued by the idea that the human soul had mass, and could therefore be weighed, Dr. MacDougall put together a bed fitted with a sensitive set of beam scales, and convinced a series of terminally ill patients to lie on it during the final moments of their lives.
MacDougall was nothing if not detail-oriented: He recorded not only each patient’s exact time of death, but also his or her total time on the bed, as well as any changes in weight that occurred around the moment of expiration. He even factored losses of bodily fluids like sweat and urine, and gases like oxygen and nitrogen, into his calculations. His conclusion was that the human soul weighed three-fourths of an ounce, or 21 grams.
It’s hard to imagine these experiments getting any serious attention from the scientific community today. But the lines of thinking that led to them — and the reactions they generated — remain with us to this day.

A Year in the Spotlight
The results of MacDougall’s study appeared in The New York Times in
March 1907. The article set off a debate between MacDougall and the
physician Augustus P. Clarke, who “had a field day” with MacDougall’s minuscule measurement techniques.
Clarke pointed out that at the moment of death, the lungs stop cooling the blood, causing the body’s temperature to rise slightly, which makes the skin sweat — accounting for Dr. MacDougall’s missing 21 grams. MacDougall fired back in the next issue, arguing that circulation ceases at the moment of death, so the skin wouldn’t be heated by the rise in temperature. The debate ran all the way to the end of 1907, picking up supporters on both sides along the way.
For four years, all was quiet on the MacDougall front, but in 1911 he graced
The New York Time’s front page with an announcement that he’d upped the ante. This time, he wouldn’t be weighing the human soul — he’d be photographing it at the moment it left the body.
Although he expressed concern that “the soul substance might become
[too] agitated” to be photographed at the moment of death, he did manage to perform a dozen experiments in which he photographed “a light resembling that of the interstellar ether” in or around patients’ skulls at the moments they died.
MacDougall himself passed away into the interstellar ether in 1920, leaving behind a small band of ardent supporters, along with a far larger group of physicians who seemed incredulous that this farce had gone on so long. Members of the public settled down on one side or the other, and the discussion fell off the radar.
Except that it never really did — at least not completely.

A Legacy of Oddity.
References to MacDougall’s experiments continue to spring forth in pop culture every few years, from the Victorian era right up to today.
The idea that the soul weighs 21 grams has appeared in novels, songs, and movies — it’s even been the title of a film. Dan Brown described MacDougall’s experiments in some detail in his adventure yarn The Lost Symbol.
Mention the soul-weighing experiments to a person who’s into parapsychology, and you’ll likely hear a murmur of approval; after all, the idea of scientific proof for the soul offers comfort in much the same way that tarot readings & hotline spiritualists do. Even among more skeptical folks, it’s a topic that comes up now and then in late-night discussions: “Wasn’t there once a guy who tried to weigh the soul…?”
The experiments’ actual results, and their failure to achieve acceptance as scientific canon, are entirely beside the point. Science has gone one way, and pop culture another. Functional neuroimaging has tied every conceivable function once associated with the soul to specific regions and structures of the brain. Physics has mapped the linkages between subatomic particles so thoroughly that there’s simply no space left for spiritual forces.
And yet…
The idea of weighing the soul remains with us. It’s romantic. It’s relatable.
It speaks to some of our deepest longings and fears that gripped MacDougall’s readers back in 1907 and still captivate us today.

A Different Kind of Eeriness
To understand why MacDougall wanted to weigh the soul — and why he thought he could — it helps to understand the environment in which he operated. His work is rife with terms and ideas recognizable from early psychological theorists Freud and Jung. There’s a lot of talk about “psychic functions” and “animating principles” — a grasp for the precise scientific language to describe consciousness, and life itself, in a world still ignorant of
MRI and DNA.
We’re still profoundly ignorant today, as any honest scientist will tell you. Certain behaviors of quantum particles still baffle the brightest minds; and we’re still a long way from understanding exactly how our brains do most of what they do. We keep looking for the dark matter that constitutes more than 80 percent of the universe’s mass, but we haven’t actually seen a single atom of it or know where, exactly, it is.
Dark matter cannot be photographed, but researchers can detect it and map it by measuring gravitational lensing. Its distribution is shown here in the blue overlay of the inner region of Abell 1689, a cluster of galaxies 2.2 billion light-years away. And in all these dark corners, we still find people looking for the soul. Some claim we’ll eventually discover it among quantum particles.
Others insist it’s got something to do with the electromagnetic waves our brains generate. Most scientists reject these claims. But these researchers and theorists soldier on, unwilling to give up hope that one day we’ll be able to weigh, measure and quantify the hereafter.

MacDougall’s work resonated, and continues to resonate, not because of what he found (or failed to find) but because of what he suggested. The simple idea behind the experiments was appealing, and for many who followed the debate in The New York Times, that idea alone was enough to make MacDougall’s work worthy of discussion.
But in 1907, as today, the real, testable, verifiable universe continually proves to be much stranger than anything parapsychology can dream up. How are photons both particles and waves and yet somehow neither? How can there be so many planets in our galaxy, yet so few that harbor life — we think — as we know it? The universe is full of real unsolved mysteries, whose real answers are out there somewhere.
We don’t need the souls of the dead to craft a haunting series of experiments. The measurable, physical universe is more than eerie enough.

The toughest sacrifices are the ones we don’t see coming.
By Trace Scorch
When we don’t have time to come up with a strategy or to measure the potential loss. When that happens, when the battle chooses us instead of us choosing it, that’s when the sacrifice can be more than we can bear. I have noticed many rude comments lately, remember, a positive attitude may not solve all the problems, but It will annoy enough haters to make It worth the effort !! Everyone is carrying something. Some carry it better than others.
Before you gossip or hurt someone by your actions please remember that because they don’t show or tell you what they are dealing with doesn’t mean
it’s not heavy for them to carry. The seeds of kindness you plant today will bloom in the hearts of those you touch, forever… May kindness be our mantra! Kindness is one of the greatest gifts you can give to others.

“A kind word always brings cheer,” Proverbs 12:25

May kindness be our mantra!
Kindness is one of the greatest gifts you can give to others. If someone is in need, lend them a helping hand. Do not wait for a thank you. True kindness lies in the act of giving without the expectation of something in return. #Kindnessmatters

Do not forget that you are Light. Divine consciousness is densified in the
body. Light asks no questions. It knows no limits. It crosses or circumvents
all obstacles. Without exception.
Energy vampires are entities native to low frequency worlds of demonic infestations, these beings closed themselves from the source. They exist.
Energy vampires by replenishing themselves like demons do by stealing
energy from those with a better connection to divine/Source.
Higher dimensional people are often attracting these entities and need to be very weary of who is stealing their energy. How is this done on earth?

By replicating the same behaviors the demonic instills within you through
your systems & by remaining at a low level of frequency. Its vamps When you feel your high vibes goes from happy to feeling angry, from positive to feeling guilty, from feeling peaceful to feeling shameful. Energy vampires can come to you and steal your energy once they have your frequency map, this is why cutting external cords daily is a good way of healing
If the face of someone you are not thinking of suddenly pops into your mind’s eye, you may be a victim of energetic theft.. it could be your light body warning you that it’s being tampered with.. Why won’t it warn you when your life energy is being depleted. Death may not be imminent but prolonged theft of your energy by many vamps can & has led to early demise of a life.
All humans are connected. On worlds where the interaction is always loving
& positive, the connection is not a problem, but on a planet where the energy
is low & people need to steal energy just to stay alive, theft is a problem. When you think there’s not enough money to go around you also experience subconsciously that there’s not enough energy to go around.

The reason energy vampires exist is because their demonic attachment is draining them of energy & having them go to hunt for more.. Yes! Demonic.
It’s not pleasant.
They can switch hosts at will; they have no inclination to stay with one person or another, they often stick to certain families who provide them the best feeds for their parasitic endeavors.. Most people are being used to that end. They extract low frequency from you to feed their own parasites
The exceptions are those who have completely freed themselves from attachments, those with a 5th dimension energy unity frequency, who do energetic maintenance & remove themselves from anything trying to control them. People who separate themself from anyone trying to manipulate them, they are protecting their energy from theft
IF SOMEONE IS CONTROLLING YOU & MAKING YOU AFRAID OF THEM, YOU ARE WITH A VAMPIRE. Vampires have attachments & demand it for their food source, so they wont stop it, Hoping that they will just stop some day if you are in denial.. Why keep feeding Energy Vampires?
Most people are unconscious of their behavior enough to allow this to continue. Beware when your own energy is kept low by your own attachments. Clear All Negative Attachments. The deliberateness of a God conscious being is hard to find on earth because your life energy is being zapped from you constantly
Possession is Real. Humans are being possessed by a virulent energetic being who wishes full control over the host Its inhuman cos it’s not Human!

Most people are possessed to a certain extent. From childhood, these vampires seek those incapable of fighting them off in order to infest and manipulate in order to get them their fuel. The more emotional damage the host the better the host for these entities. As the insidious dysfunctionality of matrix life begins to impress upon the soul of the small child. The soul will either split or show signs of dysfunction itself thus weakening the light body to allow parasites to enter.
Shadow work must be done in order to reintegrate the soul The soul can be found in parts of yourself that you cast out to fit into this world. As you see from the state of your world right now, this problem is rampant. We can’t understate the immediate need for the people of earth to take action against the true enemy of life on earth. What’s happening on earth is only a manifestation of their manipulation and your adherence to their pathological belief system. Loosh is being created at a global societal interpersonal & personal level for all of you.
All you need to do is stop feeding the devil by refusing to buy into the idea
that negativity is normal for you. It is not! Negativity can be unlearned, your negative way of interacting, your propensity to attack others, your belief in separation was all taught to you.

Your belief that if you harm another you will not be harmed..
While we’re shamed forcing boys into dresses, girl’s sports & self-hate groups over here,  China’s encouraging masculinity
Guess who’s going to win the war China wants?
It won’t be our trans inclusive military with quarterly sensitivity training,
that’s for sure.
Are all incorrect. Humans are an electromagnetic energy that attracts
the same energy it emits, so to harm another is to harm yourself.
“It is not the most intellectual of the species that survives; it is not the strongest… The species that survives is the one that is able best to adapt and adjust to the changing environment in which it finds itself.” ~Charles Darwin,

This is mostly correct as those who hide well tend to live on… just as well as those who adapt.
I’m always stuck between this and that… for lack of better terms or anything… *luck*…
What is it most people truly fear? The unknown. Not knowing if the other person truly loves them.

Not knowing what’s next in their lives. Not knowing if they’re enough.
Knowing is truly the absence of doubt. It is a feeling of calm, of love,
of pure joy. Loretta Lynn – Lay Me Down ft. Willie Nelson.

All else is fear.

Life seeks balance & it does that within you.

The Devil is in a Pill Bottle.

On average, people return to their narcissistic partner 7 times before fully calling it quits.

Being Rich depends on the person making the judgement…..
if your stressed take a walk bird watch sit on a log and
outline trees with your focus for 15 minutes!!! 🙂

I returned 5 times. The break up phase is brutal and for some stupid reason
I chose to repeat it 5 times. smh. You were not stupid! It’s a long grooming process and the gaslighting is brutal. It’s common to keep trying to make it work. One thought that hurts (a lot) but helps – You were a pair of shoes. Useful & necessary, until you weren’t. And he/she will just find a new pair of shoes.

What’s meant for you wouldn’t abuse you, abandon you, break you, cancel you, ghost you, hurt you, traumatize you, and make you feel all alone and unwanted.

What & who is meant for you brings you peace and calm. Accepting not everyone & everything is meant for you is key to opening the door to let that peace & calm in. So no dating any more narcissists? Lol. Check for the red flags people – it’s the worst kind of break up you can suffer.

IF you find the strength to break up with him/her.

I am a Light Warrior staying up all night fighting for my own truth and freedom, because everyone’s viewpoint is their own understood truth.

You were lucky to know anything about it. Awareness helps. I didn’t know what a narcissist was and spent (as a very empathetic person) a lot of time confused, saying “he didn’t mean it like that” and giving him a pass. But words matter. No emotional vocabulary is a red flag. Yes. And also the best kind of liberation when you’re finally able to free yourself from them.

It looks like you are talking about my office colleagues and the society where we live. 95% of people have similar behavior because if they are not happy with themselves so they cannot see others happy. Doesn’t mean something isn’t meant for you. Just means someone else tried to make it that way. Well it didn’t work. It’s not up to other people what is meant for another. And I don’t have to feel all of those things so someone else can look better than me.

And I don’t.

In life people come and go, what’s meant for you will come to you when it’s time. Don’t miss that window of opportunity fighting for what wants to leave. Or call you all the names in the book because you no longer are allowing them to disrespect, gaslight, manipulate, control, abuse, threaten them ANYMORE!

You’ll be good enough for who is meant for you…if you have to force the connection, it’s not meant for ****YOU**** Difficulties are for uplifting you. Don’t fear. Don’t run away. Challenge. Meet. Make friendships. There’s no other option. At the end, it’s you and You. And it won’t un-do you.

Release the need to defend yourself & notice the extra energy!!!

You are a very tonal person. Powerful smile. Many percentages of degrees, regrets?

Debilitating Pain because of the stress it causes me!!!

Does anyone have ANY advice on helping with my sciatic nerve pain?

(1) Castor oil poultice, I know nothing as powerful than (2) Palma Christi (Other than liquor? Lol)

It’s tragic when your own brain: your thoughts are your greatest gift and your worst enemy…

I know many people who are suffering greatly with PAIN.
HIGHLY recommend: National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association – NUCCA
I remembered what Edgar Cayce said “Keep the body alkaline.” I fed him salads, veggies (stir frys), fruits and gave curcumin, baking soda in water. It totally healed it.

Never heat I know it feels good but it exasperated the issue… Infrared red heating pad! I started with heat and ice, alternating them every 20 minutes, and used CBD oil or capsules! I also used an anti-inflammatory.. Good luck!
Not a cure but a good start, loose the big fat overstuffed wallet in the back pocket one cheek has been riding on for the past xx years!

Not sure if there’s anyone by you who has something like this?

Under the right circumstances a tens unit can have a miraculous effect on pain. Read (1) “Healing Back Pain” by Dr John Sarno. – Bing video Dr. John E Sarno – 20/20 Segment – YouTube  Or watch this video first. I went from 10/10 pain to walking 18 holes of golf in 4 days. My chiro couldn’t believe it.
(1) Tilt table or Decompression Table, you can get 1 at Dicks Sporting Goods. Also no wheat & sugar + No Tomatoes and add turmeric and stretching/Yoga will reduce all inflammation within days

MSM powder Methylsulfonylmethane It’s a naturally occurring substance in your brain & soothes inflamed nerves. Have used it for decades now. Have they tried gabapentin??? and ultrasound treatments. Maybe try Lyrica and Cymbalta together then. I heard Lyrica good…fyi…they have now found sciatica can be triggered by anxiety….so maybe even (short term) anti-anxiety med.. just fyi..I saw an ad that recommended an inversion table hanging upside down like a Bat helps to! but please, don’t take my word for it! I’m not a doctor. Some also recommend against inversion tables so who knows?

Tell them to go get some prednisone shot from the doctor.
It may help them to go visit the chiropractor. I have had it before and know how excruciatingly painful it is. The prednisone got rid of it for me. Aleve or ibuprofen. Tramadol helped me greatly! Drink a protein shake everyday and stretch on the floor. Lay flat on your back, pull up your right knee, grab it with your left hand and pull towards your left shoulder, then vice versa.

Do different stretches for the back for about 10 min. While watching Tv. it won’t take long, it will be a habit…For now, maybe if he’s got a tennis ball to roll the area, a foam roller is good. Before you listen to us, go to Youtube, you’ll find videos, which will be better understanding. Even a rolling pin can help, but check first. i bought compression socks by copper fit. and ..these straps that Velcro around your calf muscle.. helps out alot..
Massage/fitness/Natural Healing ….No to the pain medication….. just a band aid during acute flare ups, 600-800 mg Ibuprofen, ice pack 15-20 minutes. Always calms it down for me. As always, consult with your physician first. Stretch hamstrings’ couldn’t sit drive without stopping every 15 min. To stand. Pills didn’t help. Started to work lower back and thighs. Wala

Dr. Rowe shows the QUICKEST way to get sciatic leg pain relief..
If you’re dealing with sciatica down one leg (or even both legs) this is a video you’ll not want to miss. My sister had the same problem and she did cupping therapy. Never again she had any problem with that. Do Not use HEAT! Sciatica is a NERVE!! Poor guy. It’s so damn painful! The leg exercises may help! It takes time. Please don’t see a Chiropractor! Total waste of MONEY and time!!!!! 4 Simple Acupressure Points to Treat Sciatica Nerve Pain at Home

TENS machines use 24 hrs. a day to ask physio to help you and acupuncture and yes chiro also is what kept me walking thru pregnancy and raising a child for the last 35 years. I have had it twice and it was horrible. The first time I had it, what saved me was acupuncture. The second time, acupuncture didn’t help enough, but what really made a difference for me was a chiropractor. Other things that helped me were jacuzzi or hot showers, also cold packs. Massages, Tylenol, Rubbings with Tiger balm, Magnesium oil, Turmeric caps, Chinese herbs, collagen. Good luck & hope this helps!

Massage Therapists have been using cups that lift areas where the pain develops. Lifting those areas sends adrenaline to the spot where it is most painful. Seems to be working. An old football buddy told me, your back is calling out for your stomach muscles to help. Good chance the stomach muscles are shot. Lay flat on your back and tighten your stomach, don’t bend. When standing, stand erect, tighten the stomach muscles only. Should see relief in 3-4 days. Hot tub. CBD. Stretch/yoga/meditation. Don’t use opiates!
Went to the Chiropractor and also started taking potassium daily. Seemed to have helped. Good idea…he so has Coronary Artery Disease. Has leg cramps all the time… I have wondered about his potassium being bottomed out. Have them get an MRI first & foremost. It could be a herniated disc, and if so, they can be referred to a specialist who can recommend & administer a cortisone injection. I had 2 simultaneous herniated discs – one above my sciatic & one below it – and the cortisone did wonders.

I went to HSS in NYC.. HSS fixed me 10 years ago and I’ve been pain free since then. Some people believe in inversion tables. Then there’s PT, but from my experience it didn’t help.

Be weary of Chiropractors. Hope this helps.
Ice. Not heat. Not ever. #1 Stretch – hands and knees back straight-put a book on it. Stretch opposite arm and leg out straight. Then switch sides. #2 hands and knees. Arch back up high like a cat, then relax and pretend you are trying to touch your belly to the floor.
1 Sit on a chair, legs together in front 2 put one ankle on the top of the opposite leg behind the knee. 3. Hold the elevated leg horizontal with your hands 4 Lean forward over your knees as far/low as you can 5 swap positions & repeat. This may relieve pain by stretch the nerve.
Daily basic yoga moves (stretching muscles that you do not use or stretch otherwise):
I had lower back discomfort, which quickly progressed to excruciating immobilizing pain down the leg. resting (no movement!) and a hot/cold pack made me worse. an experienced nurse at a doctor’s office immediately recognized my predicament, and printed out 5-6 basic yoga moves (cat-camel spine movement, back-stretching, butt-cheek-muscle stretching) and asked me to try without overdoing it every day for 2 weeks, and see.

She gave me a few days worth of over-the-counter painkiller as well. at first,
I could barely try such basic moves. but immediately I sensed the difference, how my bound muscles were relaxing little by little. In 2 weeks I didn’t need to go back to the doctor’s office. My spouse had similar, more progressed pain. He tried the same yoga moves with me, and his pains went away. we do our daily 5-10 minute yoga, and more if we’re sensing some discomfort in the lower back or in the leg.

(1) Hip flexors with a chair, (2) Hamstring stretches, and (3) Step Up exercises.
Try anything focusing on lengthening the tightness of your hamstring and hold the or each pose for at least 60 seconds or more. Buy the flat square ice pack thing you use for a cooler and sleep on your back with that under you. Also a tennis ball and put it under your back or butt check, wherever it hurts and roll on it. Shit hurts at first but it helps. If that doesn’t work, Norco 10’s Peppermint oil , oregano oil, lavender oil, frankincense oil with a carrier oil like coconut oil in a bottle and rub on the back. Dry needling. Have been treating sciatica for a while and have had great benefits with dry needling.

Read @MedicalMedium
‘s stuff. What began the pain? Is there an infection somewhere? Juicing celery is a CURE for many many things, & I speak from experience. I wouldn’t be here today without my herbs and celery, & I’m an epileptic. I know nerve pain. Give it a try! I suffered. I was asked to take bed rest for 2 weeks each time. My colleagues said, I fake pain. I knew what double whammy is. Listened to a local Yogi on TV. He advised Moringa Soup – either fresh beans with cover or powder. 6-12 times a day. Instead of food for 2 days.. I got cured!!

Teeter inversion machine where you can hang upside down , I’ve been using one for over 15 years. Acupuncture. Then a good naturopathic chiropractor. Also- celery juice. Plain nothing added. Drink on an empty stomach daily. Try to omit eggs, dairy & gluten for a few days all very inflammatory. lavender & peppermint oil mix some in lotion and apply it to his back.

Rotate Tylenol and IBUPROFEN , ice for 20 min every 2 or so hours stretch and walk as much as possible and finally take an Epsom Salt bath (usually 2 cups) in water as hot as you can stand for 15-20 minutes followed by a cold shower to rinse the salt off and cool down. Chiropractor, acupuncture, CBD cream, wintergreen essential oil, stretch out IT band and piriformis (sp) muscles are stretched out. Sorry! Sciatic pain is the worst! JMK9810 had the best advice with a chiropractor. I had the same issue with a bulging disk. Could barely move. Took several visits, but worth it. Most pain ever….except of course childbirth.

I had it bad for years. Got the shots, chiropractor, meds but it always came back. I bought a machine called Back to Life for about $240 over 20 years ago and I haven’t been back since. Real importance. Get some sketcher sneakers. You’ll never wear anything else. Have tried laying on top tennis balls or balls under their back where the Sciatic nerve is and gently rocking a bit for as long as possible. They also have a hard yoga pillow, I’ve used that.
Lay on your stomach on the floor, then slowly raise yourself up on your arms A little at a time. I think they are called (1) McKenzie exercises for sciatica on YouTube. –
Decompression at a chiropractor. Also get a roller for them to stretch out the back.
There are specific stretches to help with the pain also.. I feel their pain, I also have a bad back. Have had 15 years of Hell sometimes. I soak twice a day, with Dr. Teals,
and it works better than any drugs.
Other Tips: Extra strength Tylenol. 4 tabs BID. Also, yoga’s cobra pose.  And sleeping in the fetal position with a pillow between the legs to help keep the spine aligned. Go to the Doctor for pain pills and muscle relaxers. They will also send you to physical therapy. I went to the Chiropractor but PT was my saving grace. I feel their pain. Don’t let them not do anything.
I also now have an inverse table in my home. 2 1/2 months is very painful.

I had it once & its bad but one exercise that seemed to help was to stand with feet crossed & slowly bend to stretch & touch toes holding as long as U can & repeat helped a lot.

Apply ice back to the sacrum, ( across ) bottom , must cover the whole area so move down then up. Then lay the ice pack full length of lumbar spine, move up and down as needed.
Lay flat for a day, can sit to eat. No recliner chairs etc. Yes but you might not like this or have a way of accomplishing this but here goes. Hold Me keto/LCHF Accountable

💫🌷𝕊𝕦𝕟𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕖𝕩𝕠𝕩𝕠🌷💫

Hold Me keto/LCHF (Low Carb/High ‘Good’ Fat Accountable,

The universe will ask you who you are, and if you don’t know, it will tell you..
I have a friend doing keto who is having major problems with water retention. She is blowing up and all of her joints and fingers and everything are swelling up on her. Is that something keto could cause for somebody? Or is probably related to her other health problems?

Dr. Eric Berg – ‘Practical Keto’ – YouTube

She is at 360 pounds right now. She is laying off salt and sodium and drinking 2+ gallons of water a day. Is that too much? They say so many ounces per pound you weigh, but I just want to find out any info I can, she is going to the doctor about it but I’m hoping it’s not. She’s drinking too much water and laying off the salt won’t help either. Make sure she’s getting enough protein and she will need more fat to transition too. Make sure salt is on every single meal! Especially in transition week or two. Also check.. before being dehydrated your body holds water first. It’s not always the obvious answer. Is she eating real food or keto crap?

I don’t have stomach issues anymore!! Woohoo! I also no longer get eczema and I threw away my Rx cream! A calorie is a calorie for me… so I’ll gain or lose according to the calories unless I’m fasting… even then.

Going on year 6 ketogenic/low carb.

I’ll never go back to the SAD way of eating.

At 50 I now have the body I had when I was 18-20. The worst thing about it is having to buy new clothes that fit. My profile pic tells the tale. 5 years between the two. Not suffering with nasty problems from Hidradenitis Suppurativa any more and can live my life pain and inconvenience free.  Less depression, more energy, more productivity, better mental clarity and focus, fewer migraines
( 1 in the past year), control over food, and yes, weight loss.

I think it’s too much, you can die from water intoxication!

Kidneys have major responsibility in water balance. If it were me… would revert to the prior diet regimen and check kidney issues. Laying off salt is likely bad, since keto stresses electrolyte balance. Might need more salt. She needs to lay off the water. That’s way too much. Drink ONLY when thirsty. 10 MASSIVE MYTHS AND MISTAKES THAT DESTROY FASTING AND KETO DIETS! – by Robert Cywes – YouTube

One thing I just thought of. When you are low carb/keto you will become fat adapted. One of the big benefits of this is that Fasting is so much easier. I just Fasted on Monday for 42 total hours and it was no problem. Doing SAD and Fasting is very hard.

Also check.. before being dehydrated your body holds water first. It’s not always the obvious answer. Is she eating real food or keto crap?

Have you heard of the #DAdamo #EatRight4YourBloodType diet? Many REALLY thrive on #keto but a small % don’t. If she knows her blood type, modify keto to fit her type OR just try a week of eating ONLY the beneficial foods for blood type. If she is an O Blood Type, the salt should be fine but try avoiding bacon & cheese (all other fats are great) Inflammation: Is the Gut the Driving Force of Systemic Inflammation? – YouTube

Yes, drink water but only when thirsty Try modifying keto to eat only O Beneficial foods If she doesn’t see an improvement in a couple of days check kidneys/liver.
I’ve been seeing a lot of people talking about carb-cycling. What exactly is that? I mean I get the idea but what is the point?

I’m zero carb: Total freedom from joint pain and sugar addiction. I have now lost 50 pounds. Still need to lose 50 more, but I don’t need to stress over it, it will happen. A #lowcarb diet helped me lose 95lbs. I’ve got some Covid-19 weight to lose, sure, but who doesn’t?

Losing the weight helped me to eliminate chronic back pain, plantar fasciitis, and sleep apnea. Not to mention the general improvement to my mood, attitude, etcetera.

So slim now! So glad the weight-loss has helped your ailments disappear.

* Reversed prediabetes * HbA1c was 42 now 30 * Reversed Fatty Liver
* Lost 75lbs * Healthy weight * Healthy waist circumference

What is it?
Why are you not doing it?

I started a couple years ago, drinking every weekend about 25 pints of lager and eating so bad. Weighed 20st, had a light bulb moment and paired keto and walked and never looked back. Food is so important to me now and only eat whole foods, lost 6 stone and kept off.

I found this great saying. The gist of it is that our only limitations are set by the conclusions that we have drawn about ourselves, others and life in general. Nobody really knows until they know.

Which Covid-19 vaccine should I get?
Dr. Wen weighs in By Katia Hetter, CNN

There are now three Covid-19 vaccines authorized for emergency use by the US Food and Drug Administration, manufactured by Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson. All three will be distributed across the United States.

Many people are wondering which Covid-19 vaccine they should get: Is one better for certain groups of people? Given how many people still can’t get any vaccine, will people have a choice? If so, which vaccine should they choose?

We asked CNN Medical Analyst Dr. Leana Wen for her advice. Wen is an emergency physician and visiting professor of health policy and management at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health.

Wen is also a volunteer participant in the Johnson & Johnson clinical trial, though she doesn’t know yet whether she received the vaccine or placebo.

CNN: Can you explain the differences between the three FDA-authorized vaccines?

What do we know about their safety and efficacy?

New Orleans archdiocese calls for Catholics to avoid Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Dr. Leana Wen: The vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna were authorized first, back in December. They are similar to one another in that they are both developed using the mRNA platform. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine has just been authorized. It uses a different way of stimulating an immune response, with an inactivated cold virus. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines both require two shots. Johnson & Johnson has just been authorized as a one-dose vaccine.

All three vaccines have very favorable safety profiles, meaning that they are all very safe, when tested in tens of thousands of people. All three are virtually 100% in clinical trials at preventing hospitalizations and deaths, which is the endpoint that we really care about.
The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines appear to be more effective at preventing mild to moderate disease, about 95%. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is about 72% effective, based on US trials. However, these results should not be compared directly, because the trials were not done as head-to-head comparisons.

CNN: Why not? You can see why people would look at those numbers and say, 95% versus 72%? I’ll take the one that’s 95%.

Wen: This is an understandable concern. Here are three reasons why this is not the right comparison.

First, the vaccines were studied at different time periods. The Pfizer and Moderna studies were done before these more concerning variants became a major factor. Also, there wasn’t as widespread disease at the time those trials were run. We don’t know what their efficacy would be if they were studied under the same conditions as the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, or vice versa. That’s why we say that these are not head-to-head comparisons and can’t be weighed one directly against another.

Second, one the main locations where the Johnson & Johnson vaccine was studied was South Africa, where the predominant variant at the time of the study was the B.1.351 variant. There is substantial concern that none of the vaccines we have may work as well against this variant.
Laboratory studies for both Pfizer and Moderna, for example, have shown there is less neutralizing antibody developed against this variant. This suggests they may not work as well in these cases as they do against the variant that was originally the most widespread in the United States. In addition, preliminary studies of two other vaccines in development, Novavax and AstraZeneca, showed these vaccines are less effective against this variant.
For the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, it appears that it, too, is less effective against the South African variant. However, it’s still very effective. Even in South Africa, the vaccine prevented 82% of severe disease (compared to 86% in the United States). Most importantly, in South Africa, there were no cases of hospitalizations or deaths in those receiving the vaccine.
A vaccine that’s effective against this variant is important, especially since other emerging variants also appear to have the same mutation as this B.1.351 strain. Having a vaccine that is clearly effective against this type of mutation is a distinct advantage.

Third, let’s remember that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is a one-dose vaccine. This simplifies logistics substantially to not have to make second appointments and allocate second doses. This vaccine can also be stored at refrigerator temperature for months, making it possible for regular doctors’ offices to carry the vaccine — and many people may prefer to go to their doctor’s office to get the vaccine.
They may also prefer “one and done” instead of making two trips, especially when this vaccine appears to be just as effective in the result that matters most: in preventing severe enough disease that results in hospitalization and death.

CNN: What about vaccinated people spreading infection? Do we know whether the Johnson & Johnson vaccine reduces the spread of the virus?

Wen: There is good news on this front, too. This clinical trial looked at whether vaccinated people could be asymptomatic carriers. About two months after they received the vaccine, it appeared that they had a 74% reduction in asymptomatic infections.
This is one of the main unanswered questions about the vaccine. We know that all of the authorized vaccines are really effective at protecting the person getting vaccinated. The question is, do the vaccines also protect the person from carrying the virus and infecting others? There’s growing evidence that this is the case for all the vaccines we have, though we don’t know how good that protection is — and so vaccinated people should still use an abundance of caution and wear masks in public, for example.

CNN: Do we know which people should get what vaccine? For example, should older people or people who are immunosuppressed get a particular type of vaccine?

Wen: We don’t have this information yet, and the FDA and the CDC (US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) have not made this type of recommendation. These are studies that are being done, and, in the months to come, we could well find this out. Perhaps, we will find out that people of a certain age group or with certain underlying medical conditions do best with one vaccine over another. In that case, people can get that vaccine then.
The key right now is to not wait. Get the vaccine that you have access to first.

CNN: What about pregnant individuals and children? Are the vaccines safe for them?

Wen: None of the vaccines have been specifically studied with pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, though women have a choice to take them. (Dr. Wen previously discussed the decision in this Q&A.) They are soon to be studied in these populations. The Pfizer vaccine is authorized for those 16 and older, the others in 18 and older. Studies are underway for younger children, but as of now, vaccines aren’t available for children yet.

CNN: Let’s talk bottom line: What vaccine would you recommend someone take?

Wen: Bottom line: Take the vaccine that you are offered. All three vaccines are safe and effective. Think about other vaccines we take, like for the flu vaccine. Most of us don’t ask which company manufactures it. We just care that it works. There are advantages to all the vaccines, and again, since they haven’t been studied head-to-head, we have no way of knowing exactly which vaccine is “best” and for whom.
Right now, supply is the limiting factor. Most people are not going to have a choice. It may be that your doctor’s office or pharmacy or mass vaccination site will only have one type of vaccine. If that’s what you have access to right now, you should take it, as opposed to waiting for an unknown period of time for another vaccine.
That’s the advice that I give to my family members and patients. It’s also the advice that I am taking myself. I should find out soon whether I received the vaccine or placebo as part of the Johnson & Johnson clinical trial. If I received the placebo, I’ll be happy to take whatever vaccine is available to me first (which will likely be the Johnson & Johnson vaccine).

Remember that taking a vaccine doesn’t mean you are forever committed to it. Pfizer and Moderna are studying booster shots that target specific variants. Johnson & Johnson is doing the same testing, and they’re also studying a two-dose vaccine to see if a second dose enhances the protection of the first. In the months to come, when there is more supply and more research on which vaccine is better for which group of people, you may be able to get another vaccine.
That’s why the bottom-line advice is this: Get the vaccine you have access to as soon as you can. Getting a high level of immunity right now protects you and others around you. It also helps us to reach herd immunity sooner as a society.
They’re doing it for nothing. Once the effects of the crash happens & people start becoming homeless through evictions & repossessions, the food shortages & hyperinflation they’ll be lucky to afford a tin of baked beans let alone a holiday. It is not up to our government to decide who the holiday destination countries allow into their countries. Unlike us, other countries have border controls which are enforced.

If THEY require a vaccine for entry, you will need it!

Has it occurred to you they don’t have any other choice if they want freedom? What would happen if enough people chose not to have it? I agree you should choose, and I don’t want it, but I don’t know how else to get my freedom. Covid passport: How the EU’s ‘digital green pass’ could ‘kick start’ holidays to Europe by the end of June (inews.co.uk) Shallow and gullible? Bit of a broad statement. I suspect most people have a different opinion of the vaccine than yourself.
Personally, it should be everyone’s right to choose and not be judged on their choice. Primarily, I had the vaccination so I could travel to Australia. If you had any idea how little is known about the miRNA Vax, the dangers of liver damage, brain damage & side effects that can appear years later. You risk your health & life to travel. Your right it’s your choice but it’s an uninformed one, as the truth is kept from you. Years ago when Australia installed the backscatters at airports and they didn’t allow opt outs/pat downs.
I canceled them off my travel list. Now mandatory vaxS – that island is full of obedient unarmed slaves. Watch Australia what happens there will usually come to other places like the UK. Australia is a peculiar place, Sydney is completely different from Melbourne as is Perth. My Daughter is in Sydney and I have family members in Melbourne, Perth and Tasmania. All seem to do their own thing and have different attitudes. It’s been an intelligence test for an entire year and 2 months. I failed for the first two months, thinking this new virus was going to be extremely dangerous.

After seeing the charades & lockdown propaganda in Italy, and their datasets on who’s vulnerable, I woke up. I spoke with a nurse earlier, she had been ill and had tested positive for covid-19 six weeks after getting the mRNA, along with five other nurses that had the same batch at the same time.
We both agreed the vakseen had caused it, but she still wanted it as a way out of lockdown. There is no live virus in either vaccine. Don’t be stupid. You can still catch Covid-19 but are likely to suffer less.

That is what the vaccine is designed to do.

The vaccine contains virus proteins, those are what the PCR test identifies & is called a positive covid19 result. A positive covid19 test is the least of worries. Liver damage, brain damage, cancer & infertility is more concerning. It’s true that a subject doesn’t need live, whole, or infectious virus to be declared covid-19 positive on PCR, it only requires pieces of remnant viral fragments. When one provides informed evidence of the vaccine trials & the dangers of mRNA, guess what? I’m a conspiracy theorist. I always try to educate on the WEF, but one tends to get glazed looks. The sad thing is this is no longer a conspiracy theory, the evidence is there daily.

Having assessed the evidence it makes sense. What evidence? This technology has never been used in this way before, the media haven’t reported the liver damage, the rats that died, the dose being 3x higher than is needed, the bacterial contamination in vials. The list of issues is scarily long. The Pfizer mRNA vaccine is claimed to have 95% efficacy. So the masses believe it is safe and effective. To get to this number 44,000 people were used in the trials. 22000 had two doses and 22000 had placebo.

Sought-after Insanity

Every time I worry about how I will get through something,
God shows himself in mysterious ways.

I have noticed many rude comments lately, remember, a positive attitude
may not solve all the problems, but It will annoy enough haters to make It worth the effort !! Everyone is carrying something. Some carry it better than others. Before you gossip or hurt someone by your actions please remember that because they don’t show or tell you what they are dealing with doesn’t mean it’s not heavy for them to carry.

Life isn’t meant to be easy, it’s meant to be lived. Enriching your imaginations with positivity, healthy mind, pure compassion and emotional thoughts will result in pure happiness and joy. Never ever let your imaginations go away with your wild and wasted dreams. I need Him to show Himself to me right now.
If I haven’t sent you a voice clip of me singing  Minnie Riperton – Lovin’ You (Official Video) then are we even friends?

God will restore everything the enemy has stolen from you. #Jesus #Lord #Father #God#Thankyou #Bible #Love

Describe love to me. As in relationship love. Do you thrive in it? Do you crave it? Do you hurt too much? Waste of time. Love is temporary in relationships, an infatuation that doesn’t last long term. When lifestyle changes or you quit spending the amount of money a woman expects, she’ll quickly turn her attention away from “love”. Stay single, you’ll be happier in the long run.
Wow you took the love out of love didn’t you???

Safe. Sweet. Protective. Honoring. Patient. Laughter. Forgiving. Supportive. Breathtaking, Compassion, listening, learning, understanding, trust, friendship, complexity….you are my world. Safety, trust, where your soul rests easy & still gets lit on fire w/o a word. Partnerships that challenge & encourage, inspire you & comfort you – letting you know you’re enough even if you can’t see it yet and find your nonsensical self to be pure love. Or something like that. like doggie love…Unconditional…For me. It’s an uncanny trust like no other.

The feeling that when they are not there there is a massive hole in your life,
and you can’t wait for them to return. When you breathe out I breathe in… it becomes all about us and our growth… it’s a great life if you can be true to it….She is closer than any best friend. So many other factors of course. But those would be my top 2.Without love we are like zombies eating each other’s minds and feeding off of each other to the bone, love is what makes us content giving our lives meaning and truth and without love the peace is all materialistic.

The word Love is the Soul of Life, to appreciate, respect and Honor as well
as fear of losing that feeling when you are in the same room everything and everyone else is but shadows and comfort of knowing. When you love someone I feel you got to give your whole self to them, put them first before yourself, let them know each day how special they are in your life and Make sure that they are the only thing that truly matters to you because they are your life.

You have a place your heart needs.

Accepting and loving each other when we’re not at our best. Trusting each other wholeheartedly. Often Imitated, never Duplicated especially sex and laughter, Your partners best interests are more important to you than your own. The world lights up when they come through the door. You’re unguarded and safe with them. And attracted to them in every way… The ache you feel when your dear person is away from you for several days. Additionally, that sense of relief when you look straight into a person’s eyes and see home…

You know love is when she is beautiful to you even she may not be in general
to others or she means everything to you. Without them the world is nothing to you. Love is a beautiful feeling but it can be most painful also if your love is not with you. Love is an action and an emotion. When one stops taking the actions or only makes them habitually the emotion is no longer present. I don’t know how to define it. Maybe it’s just an acceptable level of imperfection.

Someone that means everything to you even more than your own well being.
Those incredible moments of sharing and finding and receiving That which is so intimate and personal, And so infrequently shared… 100/100 not 50/50. Meet needs, share needs. Compassion and passion. Support not tearing down. Helping achieve their dreams without dismissing your own. Help when they need it, encouragement when they don’t. Soul bonding, mind stimulating, flesh satisfying oneness…

When I had it … I was happy most of the time because I had someone who genuinely cared about me and I didn’t feel like I was alone against the world. No matter how shit my day was out working I knew I wasn’t alone in my pain.
I miss her “Love” as I’ve come to describe it… At the end of each day, despite anything that happened in my life, I know and can depend on that person being there for me, no judgement, no questions. when i do absolutely everything you want (… and absolutely love doing it ( )) Consists of craziness, jealousy, happiness, there for each other through thick and thin. Like having a best friend , but with benefits.. if that makes sense.

Love as in relationships are numerous such as care, honesty, peace, understanding, trust and happiness etc. Love is when you can lay your head
on your partner lap and sleep like you have safety wings guarding your heart.
A good relationship needs to follow the 3-F rule. You have to be Friends. You need to be able to Fight. And you need to Fuck regularly.

Putting someone else’s welfare on the same level as your own, while letting them be themselves without demands …. Real longtime love is an act, a verb. Doing for them before doing for yourself without thinking about it.
“Love is the will to extend one’s self for the purpose of nurturing one’s own or another’s spiritual growth… Love is as love does. Love is an act of will — namely, both an intention and an action. Will also implies choice. We do not have to love. We choose to love.”

Where you would do anything for the person you love, commitment, loyalty when they give you butterflies. Love In short, communication, caring and trust.. Love in regards to a relationship conquers all obstacles. Love is blind, and patient. 100% commitment & another 100% communication. Sprinkled with sex…I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes…. Love is all around me
and so the feeling grows It’s written on the wind, it’s everywhere I go So if you really love me, come on and let it show.

Sadly, I’ve not really experienced it in a traditional male/female partnership. Fortunately I have several male and female friends that do show me love and unconditional support that I value and rely on to help fill part of that void.
Love is not a feeling but it involves them. Love is the constant care, compassion, concern, and desire for another. But not desire as in sex. Desire as in want for closeness.

If someone is willing to put up with your shit, and they are willing to put up with yours, it’s a match. Communication Complete devotion ..comforting, giving, listening, sharing. Love is everything from a look across the room to a pat on the but flower your favorite dinner made bath drawn while I clean the kitchen holding hands walking around cuddling on the couch always show love in public or private make her number one in your life always. I do everything in my relationship as unto the Lord, whether she deserves it or not.

Caring and never giving up, that quote is by M Scott Peck and it’s my favorite definition of love. Just knowing what someone wants by the look in their eye… When it hurts to be apart from your lover and bestfriend. Waking up everyday and choosing to treat the person you’re with, with respect, affection and admiration!

Affection for another with no rhythm or reason. Love is a decision to honor.
To place in a position higher than oneself. You have to make that choice every single day even when you don’t feel like it. Even when you don’t agree. Even when you may not like that person at the moment, you keep making the decision to love them Foreigner – I Want To Know What Love Is (Official Music Video) – YouTube #Kindnessmatters

The seeds of kindness you plant today will bloom in the hearts of those you touch, forever. May kindness be our mantra! Kindness is one of the greatest gifts you can give to others. If someone is in need, lend them a helping hand. Do not wait for a thank you. True kindness lies in the act of giving without the expectation of something in return.

How Horses Help Heal

How Horses Heal Our Emotional Wounds
About Tim Hayes — Hayes is for Horses

Riding Home: The Power of Horses to Heal, Horse Nation’s must read book of 2016, is the first and only book to scientifically and experientially explain why horses have the extraordinary ability to emotionally transform the lives of thousands of men, women and children, whether they are horse lovers, or suffering from deep psychological wounds. It is a book for anyone who wants to experience the joy, wonder, self-awareness and peace of mind that comes from creating a horse/human relationship, and it puts forth and clarifies the principles of today’s Natural Horsemanship.
Everyone knows someone who needs help: a husband, a wife, a partner, a child, a friend, a troubled teenager, a war veteran with PTSD, someone with autism, an addiction, anyone in emotional pain or who has lost their way. Riding Home provides riveting examples of how Equine Therapy has become one of today’s most effective cutting-edge methods of healing. Horses help us discover hidden parts of ourselves, whether we’re seven or seventy. They model relationships that demonstrate acceptance, kindness, honesty, tolerance, patience, justice, compassion, and forgiveness.
Horses cause all of us to become better people, better parents, better partners, and better friends. A horse can be our greatest teacher, for horses have no egos, they never lie, they’re never wrong and they manifest unparalleled compassion. It is this amazing power of horses to heal and teach us about ourselves that is accessible to anyone and found in the pages of Tim Hayes’s Riding Home. The information and lists of therapeutic and non-therapeutic equine programs, which are contained in the book, are also available at the book’s website. amazon.com

Twenty years ago as I began to gather research that would eventually form the basis of my book, Riding Home – The Power of Horses to Heal, I had my first eyewitness exposure to the psychological impact a horse can have on a human. It occurred when I was invited to observe a unique equine program at a high-end health spa outside of Tucson, Arizona. Its name is Miraval, and then as well as today, it offers what it calls the Equine Experience, created and led by a brilliant therapist and horseman named Wyatt Webb.
Unlike other equine health spa programs, which focus chiefly on horseback riding, the Equine Experience offers what it says is “a program designed to help participants challenge learned behaviors, correct false beliefs, and rediscover one’s authentic self.” This is accomplished not only by interacting with horses without any riding but in short periods of time. Tasks are simple and range from getting a horse to walk from point A to B without the aid of a halter and lead rope to picking up and cleaning each of a horse’s four feet.
A forty-year-old woman named Mary was asked to walk over to a horse named Daisy and pick up and clean all four of her feet. Mary tried everything she could think of—making noises, pinching the horse’s leg, even verbal pleading—to get Daisy to lift up a hoof, but nothing worked. After about five minutes Mary stopped trying and tears started rolling down her cheeks.

Mary was asked to come back and share with the group what she was thinking and feeling. She said, “I feel like such a failure. I hate myself for not being able to do this.” The therapist said, “Mary, have you ever done this before?” Mary said, “No.” The therapist said, “Why didn’t you ask for help?” Mary said, “It’s embarrassing.” Then she paused, thought for a moment, and almost absentmindedly added, “That’s probably why I don’t like to try anything new.”
The therapist asked Mary to share what else was occurring for her. Mary told the group that she thought her need to look good and not ask for help was probably something she had done her whole life, without thinking. By now Mary had stopped crying and looked deep in thought. She said this had probably prevented her from doing things she had always wanted to try, both personally and professionally.

The therapist asked Mary if she could now see how a lifelong attachment to what others thought of her and wanting to look good in others’ eyes might have caused her to overcompensate by “playing small” and, consequently, robbed her of wonderful, un- tried life experiences.

He also asked her if she thought exploring this insight with a therapist when she returned home was some- thing she might consider. Mary took a deep breath, smiled slightly, and said yes. Her entire session had taken forty-three minutes. I was astounded.

Miraval’s Equine Experience brilliantly demonstrates the natural ability of horses, when interacting with humans, to instantly present a psychological awareness to a person that is often not only insightful but in many cases transformative.

Over the next few years I watched as horses were brought in to assist therapists in a number of varied human rehabilitation programs in what is now generally referred to as equine-facilitated psychotherapy, equine-assisted therapy, or sometimes simply equine therapy. In addition to how horses helped with self-awareness I could see how humans with mental and emotional wounds were also experiencing profound healing effects from interacting with horses.

Even though they may lack any knowledge of equine behavior, many humans with certain types of emotional damage experience positive feelings of well being, acceptance and compassion as they unconsciously identify with two primary equine survival traits: Hypervigilance ~ empowered by superhuman senses and Herd-Dynamic-Based Social Skills ~ established and practiced with the greatest principles of love. This identification can lead a person to the self-awareness necessary for healing his or her emotional wounds.

Hypervigilance allow horses to detect the slightest sound, smell, or movement, any of which might indicate the presence of a life-threatening predator. Their ability to read with flawless accuracy not just the behavior of others but their silent intentions is what gives the horse the psychological mirroring expertise of the most gifted human therapist.

The horse’s survival skill of external awareness through hypervigilance also exists as a symptom in humans suffering from PTSD. It can be acquired by a soldier in combat or by someone who has grown up in an alcoholic or abusive family.

It is both the identification with and the attraction to what is familiar between a hypervigilant horse and a hypervigilant human victim of emotional trauma that creates feelings of safety, acceptance and compassion that constitutes the first of the two natural equine qualities that enable horses to dramatically help in the healing process of these wounded individuals.

The second natural equine survival characteristic that gives horses their unique ability to heal the emotional wounds of humans involves herd dynamics. In order to increase their chances of survival, horses live in herds. Any species that depends on living in groups in order to survive must be able to continually get along with all of that group’s members.

To promote social harmony and keep the herd together, horses possess a number of evolutionary hardwired qualities. These include: being accepting, tolerant, kind, respectful, honest, fair, nonjudgmental, compassionate, and forgiving. All of these innate equine qualities are also utilized when a horse interacts with a human.

Horses do not judge humans they judge our behavior including our most subtle intentions. A person, with or without the assistance of an equine therapist, can see himself or herself reflected back from the behavior of a horse. A horse will consistently mirror back the exact feelings, attitudes, and intentions of a human that initiates even the slightest interaction. This can instantly be observed by how the horse responds to the person. Amazingly the fastest and most accurate way to discover who you are and what you’re presenting to the world is revealed from interacting with a horse.

The horse’s sophisticated Herd-Dynamic-Based Social Skills along with their Hypervigilance are not only at the core of their epic fifty-five million years of survival, they constitute the basis of the horse’s power to heal our human emotional wounds many of which often originate in either a past trauma or from one’s damaged feelings of self-worth.

The populations that most often suffer from these wounds are War Veterans with PTSD and troubled teenagers, defined as At Risk Youth. Although Autism is not classified as an emotional disorder, many autistic children have also found significant emotional healing from participating in equine therapy.

Today, with the guidance of a professional equine specialist, a horse with its natural mirroring ability can help initiate therapeutic psychological epiphanies for anyone in need of emotional healing. Equine therapy has become one of the most beneficial and cost-effective programs for today’s Veterans with PTSD, At Risk Youth, Children with Autism and Families in Need.

To think that millions of emotionally wounded men, women and children can get a second chance at a healthy and meaningful life is heartwarming. The idea that this can be achieved from a breakthrough in self-awareness that occurred from simply interacting with a horse is extraordinary.

The Benefits of Horses
Albert Einstein tells us to:

“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.”
Horses will react in the moment according to their assessment of what the human wants of them.
They are like a “Biofeedback Genius”.
Their feedback is instant.
How they respond to you can be very challenging in their apparent honesty and clarity.
Equally if the human can change something in their behavior they will also get immediate results from the horse.
If this was a human to human interaction so many different scenarios come to play with both humans.
This can be due to not wanting to hurt someone with an honest declaration or the opposite not caring at all if you are hurting someone’s well-being and all the gamut in between.
Horses have no such hang-ups (unless they have been abused).
One could say that they are non-judgmental or honest in their appraisal and they have no ulterior motive except to react in a congruent way!

Peyo is a blessing may he feel all the kindness and love he spreads!!

So to quote Steve Jobs:
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

Believers in Sustainable Farming.

The real reason why Bill Gates is now the US’ biggest farmland owner.
By James B. Meigs

February 27, 2021 | 9:01am | Updated
Bill Gates owns hundreds of thousands of acres across the United States — including 242,000 acres of farmland — making him the country’s top agricultural landholder, according to Eric O’Keefe’s The Land Report.
Bill and Melinda Gates are big believers in sustainable farming.

Now Gates is the country’s biggest owner of farmland — a smart investment that could also spur a national agricultural revolution.

Late last year, Eric O’Keefe was researching a mysterious recent purchase of 14,500 acres of prime Washington state farmland. His magazine, The Land Report, tracks major land transactions and produces an annual list of the 100 biggest US landowners. Sales of more than a thousand acres are “blue-moon events,” O’Keefe noted, so this one stood out. And Eastern Washington has some of the richest, most expensive farmland in the country. But the purchaser of record was a small, obscure company in Louisiana.
“That immediately set off alarm bells,” O’Keefe says.
He assigned his research team to dig a little deeper. Soon they came back with the answer: The Louisiana company was acting on behalf of Cascade Investment LLC, the secretive investment firm that manages most of the huge fortune belonging to Bill Gates. O’Keefe knew Gates had been acquiring farmland for years, mostly through various Cascade subsidiaries. The mogul’s holdings include large tracts in Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, California, and about a dozen other states.

With the Washington state acreage and other recent additions to his portfolio, O’Keefe calculated, Gates now owns at least 242,000 acres of American farmland. “Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft, has an alter ego,” O’Keefe wrote: “Farmer Bill, the guy who owns more farmland than anyone else in America.” The Land Report scoop made headlines. Many stories focused on Gates’ longstanding interest in climate change and sustainability and suggested those concerns might be driving the land purchases. Newsweek called him a “sustainable agriculture champion.”
“The arrangement is simple,” The Wall Street Journal wrote in a 2014 profile. “Mr. Larson makes money, and Mr. Gates gives it away.” Larson and his team are famously tight-lipped. Cascade employees almost never speak to the press. According to the Journal, they are even discouraged from using Facebook and other social-media platforms. (Through a spokesperson, the company declined to comment for this article.)
Larson sees to it that Gates’ wealth is sensibly, even conservatively, invested. According to public records, the billionaire’s portfolio includes shares in Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway conglomerate, a Coca-Cola bottling company, and the tractor manufacturer Deere & Co., among other non-flashy investments. Larson also makes sure Gates keeps his eggs in a wide variety of baskets. His portfolio is diversified, in other words. And that’s where the land purchases come in.

Most of us imagine farmers tilling the soil that has been in their families for generations. But many farmers lease at least some of the land they cultivate. According to Bruce Sherrick, a professor of agricultural economics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, about 60 percent of row-crop farmland in the Midwest is leased. The landowners can include investors like Gates.
For investors who know what they’re doing, agricultural land offers financial stability in uncertain times. “Farmland has had a remarkably consistent ability to hedge against inflation,” Sherrick says. And it tends to be “negatively correlated” against other investments, he adds: If the stock market is going down, the return on farmland is likely to be going up. But farmland isn’t easy to buy.

Bill Gates’ portfolio even includes shares in John Deere.
“You can’t just say, I’ve got $30,000 saved up and I want to buy some farmland,” Sherrick notes. Large investors usually work with expert advisors to help them acquire and manage their agricultural holdings. According to press reports, Gates’ farmland empire is mostly managed by a Cascade subsidiary called Cottonwood Ag Management. But the details are murky, and there is no evidence that the billionaire’s farmland-buying spree is driven by anything more than a desire to have a well-diversified portfolio.
“When Ted Turner bought his Flying D Ranch in Montana in 1989, that was his personal passion,” O’Keefe says. “Bill Gates’ land purchases look to me more like sensible long-term holds run by experienced asset managers.” The same logic likely holds for Gates’ Arizona acquisitions. The largest parcel, a proposed 24,800-acre development known as Belmont, might someday contain 80,000 homes, along with offices, retail, industrial and logistics facilities. At least that’s what the developers partnered with Gates’ investment group have promised.

For now, though, all that “smart city” talk is more than a little premature. As Slate financial writer Henry Grabar concluded, the proposed town of Belmont is “not a city, nor is it ‘smart,’ nor does the Microsoft founder appear to be involved in any meaningful way.”  Gates’ largest parcel of land is a proposed 24,800-acre development known as Belmont in Arizona. Bing MapsBut, while Belmont might not be a smart city, it still looks like a smart investment. The region west of Phoenix is booming. The nearby community of Buckeye has grown more than tenfold in the last 20 years. And the Belmont property is located along Interstate 10, the region’s major east-west artery, making it an excellent location for Amazon-style warehouse complexes.
There’s also a proposal to build a new interstate linking Phoenix to Las Vegas. That proposed superhighway would run across a 5-mile stretch of the Belmont property. The project isn’t yet funded. But if it ever gets built, it would boost the value of Gates’ land dramatically. Today, the Belmont tract remains mostly empty desert. Most likely, it is just one more asset in Gates’ vast portfolio, quietly appreciating in value while the billionaire himself remains at arm’s length.

People involved in the Gates financial empire stress that the family’s philanthropic endeavors are kept separate from their investments and business ventures. But some of the software pioneer’s investments do reveal his grander goals. Gates — who stepped down from day-to-day involvement with Microsoft in 2008 — has long been looking for ways to help the world’s poorest and to address the planet’s environmental challenges.
Gates has invested in plant-based substitutes like Impossible Foods and Beyond Meat, which one day hope to rival the beef industry. In 2006, he helped launch TerraPower, a company developing a new type of compact, ultra-safe nuclear reactor. In a recent episode of “
60 Minutes,” Gates explained that zero-carbon energy sources like nuclear power are vital in reducing the emissions that warm the atmosphere. “Without innovation, we will not solve climate change,” Gates said. “We won’t even come close.” Since 2016, Gates has led  Breakthrough Energy Ventures, a venture-capital fund that invests in clean-technology startups. The fund recently raised $1 billion, which it is pouring into companies developing hydrogen-fueled airplanes, zero-carbon building materials, and other green innovations. His environmental bent also extends to farming. Gates has invested in Impossible Foods and Beyond Meat, two companies producing beef substitutes.

Including the Impossible Burger.

In his new book, “How to Avoid a Climate Disaster,” Gates explains why raising beef cattle causes more harmful emissions than other forms of agriculture. He hopes plant-based substitutes will allow us to “cut down on meat eating while still enjoying the taste of meat.” Eric O’Keefe (left), editor of The Land Report, broke the news on Gates’ farmland shopping spree. Michael Larson (right), chief investment officer of Cascade Investment LLC, likely bought the land as a smart asset.
And the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation recently launched a new division known as Gates Ag One. It aims to help poor farmers, especially in Africa and South Asia, get the “tools, technologies, and resources they need to lift themselves out of poverty.” If each acre can produce more food, that’s good news for farmers. But it also means we can devote less of the planet’s surface to farmland, which is good news for forests and ecosystems.

Meanwhile, American agriculture today is being transformed as farmers employ new technologies and Big Data to help them manage their crops. That can mean better yields with decreased use of fertilizers and pesticides. Which in turn means less impact on the environment. Farms also have a role in fighting climate change. With proper techniques, the carbon from decaying plant matter can be kept safely in the soil, rather than entering the atmosphere in the form of carbon dioxide.
A new coalition of farmland owners, operators and environmental groups is working to come up with verifiable standards for sustainable farming. The group is called Leading Harvest, and the Gates-linked Cottonwood Ag is one of its founding members. Leading Harvest envisions a kind of sustainability seal of approval certifying that a given farm meets environmental standards. The program could be an economic boon for farmers.

“In the future, farmers will be paid for sustainability,” says Sherrick, who sits on the group’s board. There will be incentives for things like using less water, fewer chemicals, and storing more carbon. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation recently launched an outreach division to farmers in Africa — now Gates could transform farming in America. The group’s founding members are expected to spearhead the rollout of the new standards on their own lands.
Whether or not Gates personally directed Cottonwood Ag to get involved in the Leading Harvest project, the move makes both environmental and business sense. “The new green economy will mean new opportunities for landowners,” O’Keefe believes. “Farming is all of a sudden part of the solution and not just part of the problem,” Sherrick adds. He sees Gates’ involvement — even if indirect — as crucial in encouraging the industry to embrace the new sustainability standard.
If the nation’s largest farmland owner can show that farming can be both sustainable and profitable, that will make a big difference. “People are going to pay attention to what Bill is doing,” Sherrick says.    Source:   Why Bill Gates is now the US’ biggest farmland owner

White heart Family is everything

The U.S. is expected to bring in close to $3.26 trillion in tax revenue in 2021, according to Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projections. About half of that comes from individual income taxes and one-third comes from payroll taxes, which include Social Security and Medicare taxes.

Find Out: How To Itemize Deductions Like a Tax Pro
That’s right — the federal government relies heavily on your tax dollars.
So you might be wondering, “Where does tax money go?” To find out, GOBankingRates | Personal Finance Site To Help You Find More Ways To Save Money And Make Money looked over CBO projections for 2021.
The results show an astonishing break from past trends in 2020, as the government borrowed record amounts of cash to dole out in the form of the CARES Act and other coronavirus relief programs. Just as spending soared, revenue plummeted as jobs dried up and tax bases collapsed. 2020, however, is now in the past and the designers of the coming year’s budget had a lot of abnormalities to consider.

Click through to find out which items your tax dollars are funding.
For most Americans, spending $10,000 remains a big deal. That’s the kind of money we spend on cars, down payments for homes, once-in-a-lifetime vacations, or parties marking major life events.
Not many of us can shell out $10,000 so casually that, if asked about where it went, they wouldn’t even know. However, the average American family pays the federal government at least that amount in taxes each year, and many of us only have a vague sense of where the money goes.
Yes, we know taxes pay for everything from roads to defense, social programs to public television. But the specific breakdown of tax spending is something most Americans give little thought to — even though taxes are the biggest single line item for many Americans each year.

How much do we actually pay?
Before breaking down where the federal government spends our money, it’s worth considering how the amount of taxes the average American pays has been calculated. In a recent article, my Motley Fool colleague Brian Feroldi broke the numbers down using data from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
Americans filed more than 150.6 million tax returns in 2015. During that year they also earned $10.17 trillion in adjusted gross income and had a total tax liability of $1.45 trillion. Some quick division means that the average gross income per return was $67,564 while the average federal tax hit was $9,655.
He also noted that many lower-income Americans either pay no taxes or even get money back because of the Earned Income Tax Credit. Take those returns out of the picture, he wrote, and “you are left with 99 million Americans who recorded an average federal tax hit of $14,654.”

How are our tax dollars spent?
Whether the average tax liability is just under $10,000 or a little less than $15,000, it’s still a lot of money for most people, and it’s important to know where those dollars go. Pew Research broke down how the United States federal government spent $3.95 trillion in 2016, with senior writer Drew DeSilver noting that the country is basically a giant insurance company that has a side business in defense:
About $2.7 trillion — more than two-thirds of the total — went for various kinds of social insurance (Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare, unemployment compensation, veterans benefits and the like). Another $604 billion, or 15.3% of total spending, went for national defense; net interest payments on government debt was about $240 billion, or 6.1%. Education aid and related social services were about $114 billion, or less than 3% of all federal spending.

Every other program — public broadcasting, NASA, national parks, foreign aid, and everything else — adds up to the remaining 6% of the federal budget. Here’s how each major spending area breaks down:

24% Social Security
15% Medicare
15% Defense
13% Health
13% Income Security
6% Net Interest
5% Veterans Benefits
6% Other
3% Education

Historically, according to Pew, federal spending has hovered around 20% of gross domestic product (GDP). In 2016 total spending was 21.5% of GDP, and over the long term, the biggest growth in spending has been on the various human services programs (including Medicare and Social Security). The share of GDP spent on defense has actually fallen to 3.3% in 2016 after hitting a high of 6% in 1986.

What does this mean?
While individual Americans have no direct control over how their tax dollars are spent, it’s important to know where the money goes. It’s especially important to understand that any major increases — say in defense spending, as President Donald Trump has proposed — require cuts elsewhere. With more than two-thirds of the budget going to social insurance programs, it’s hard, if not impossible, to make major changes without impacting those programs.

Most of your tax dollars go to taking care of other Americans, followed by paying for defense. The amounts devoted to everything else, including the most controversial and hotly debated government programs, amount to a relative pittance compared to the overall amounts being spent.
You worked hard for that money you’re about to send to the IRS in less than two weeks. Like many tax filers you’re probably asking yourself where all that money goes when the state and federal governments get their hands on it.

If you have trouble balancing your checkbook, imagine trying to keep track
of where $3.6 trillion goes every year. That’s roughly what Uncle Sam spent last year.

For the complete, gory details, you can check the latest estimates from
the official budget at the Government Printing Office, where you’ll find the government’s finances sliced and diced — by agency, department, function and source. But we’re going to skip reading the 250-page version and get
our numbers from a summary analysis from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.

A $3.6 trillion budget has a lot of large numbers. To make it a little easier to imagine which of those tax dollars is yours, here’s roughly how the federal budget compares to your budget and mine. Picture Uncle Sam, sitting at the kitchen table, trying to make ends meet.

Let’s assume for this exercise that the federal budget came to $52,000 a year — or $1,000 a week — which is about the median household income in the U.S. For our purposes, that $1,000 a week is tax free. (Uncle Sam doesn’t pay taxes, he collects them.)

Last year, the three biggest federal budget items were Social Security, health care and defense spending. So if Uncle Sam was a median wage earner, he’d have spent more than $600 of his $1,000 weekly paycheck on just those three programs.

On his annual salary of $52,000, the cost of federal health care works out
to a little more than $11,000 a year. The biggest chunk of that (about $125 of his weekly paycheck) went to pay for Medicare, which provides health coverage for people over 65. The rest ($95) went for Medicaid, which covers low-income families and individual, and state-administered health coverage for children.
While most households are having a hard time setting aside a few bucks a month for their IRAs, your government is busy stashing away retirement cash for a rainy day; about $200 of the weekly paycheck went to the Social Security fund. (Just for fun, compare that to how much of your weekly paycheck goes to retirement savings.)

Next up is military spending. This includes a variety of defense costs, including salaries for the troops, operating and maintenance costs, “procurement” (stuff you bought), and research, development, test and evaluation of all those things you bought. Throw in another few bucks for things like “atomic energy defense activities” and housing the troops, and Uncle Sam paid about $200 a week to keep the nation safe.
(That’s about $10,400 for the year.)

Unfortunately, Uncle Sam — like many Americans — has been living beyond his means and spending more than he takes in. To make up the difference, the Treasury steps up by selling more debt — more or less the way American households use credit cards. Interest on the Treasury’s credit card eats up about 6 percent, or the equivalent of about $64, of Uncle Sam’s weekly spending.

There’s also a line in his budget for “income security” which includes things like unemployment insurance, food and nutrition programs, and housing assistance. That’s roughly 13 percent of federal spending, or about $130 a week for a median income earner. Another 7 percent, or $70 a week, goes
to pay benefits for federal retirees and veterans.

So far, so good. After paying these bills, our favorite uncle has about $135
left from the weekly paycheck. That leaves just $20 (2 percent of federal spending) for education; another $20 for science and medical research; and $30 for transportation costs, including highways, air travel and water transport.

While some Americans complain about seeing their tax dollars going to fund aid to other countries, it’s not a big number. In the 2011 fiscal year budget, the equivalent of less than $5 of the $1,000 a week went to pay for foreign aid and the cost of housing ambassadors around the world to conduct international affairs.

That leaves just $60 left to cover everything else: from agriculture to the environment and the judiciary, including federal law enforcement, courts
and prisons. The Treasury has to manage all this spending without the convenience of online bill paying.

That’s where Uncle Sam spent your money.
Depending on where you live, you also kicked in a portion of the $1 trillion spent in fiscal 2011 by the 50 states and the District of Columbia. The breakdown there is a little easier to track, according to the CPBB.
(The math is also easier because $1 trillion is a nice round number.)

Spending levels vary state by state, but by far the biggest single chunk of your state tax payments went to a classroom. Some 26 percent — or roughly $260 billion of all state spending — went to K-12 education; another 13 percent, or $130 billion went to community colleges, state universities and vocational and technical schools.

Another $130 billion paid for state-managed healthcare programs, primarily Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP.)

About $50 billion was spent by the states on transportation — fixing roads, rebuilding bridges and keeping public transportation systems moving. Another $45 billion went to pay for state prisons and parole and juvenile justice programs.

Public assistance for the poor consumed just $12 billion of all state spending, or an average of just one penny of every dollar of your state taxes.

After that, comparisons of state budgets get a little harder: about $350
billion worth of state spending goes to categories that don’t match up easily, according to the CPBB. Those include public workers pension and benefits programs, aid to local governments and unrestricted spending like property tax relief.

Spending levels also vary widely: West Virginia spends just 11 percent of its budget on K-12 education, for example, while Vermont spends 33 percent. In Wyoming, just 7 percent of state spending goes to Medicaid, while that program consumes 30 percent of spending in Missouri and Florida.

Return of Rock on Twitter: “What SONG blew YOU away the FIRST time listening?”

4 signs you’re dealing with someone with a sense of entitlement!!!

We all know that one person who would throw you under the bus to get what they want in life, but they don’t actually do it because they can’t find anyone to pick you up and throw you under the bus for them.

You know, the people who think they should have been born with a silver spoon in their mouth, or maybe the people who were, but can’t quite understand why things aren’t working out for them in real life?

It’s called entitlement. And many, many people suffer from the very real problems that come about as a result of it. Of course, they’d never admit this mess is all their own doing, because, you know, they are entitled. It’s always someone else’s fault.

Here’s how you can spot a person who has a real sense of entitlement.

1) They Don’t Even See Other People.

A sense of entitlement means that people only see and care about their own needs. They will expect everyone around them to go out of their way to help them in all walks of life.

They need help getting to and from work – and it’s your problem because they have a job to get you.

They need help paying rent – which is also your problem because you don’t want them to be homeless do you?

They lost that job and now they need you to get them a job – because, you know, they can’t look for one themselves.

It’s a real problem and it causes a wide range of problems for everyone around these people.

2) They Think Everything Belongs to Them.

Regardless of whether they want to use your pen or your home, people with a sense of entitlement have no sense of boundaries.

They have no idea the work that went into acquiring the pen or the home and therefore have no sense of pride or ownership over it.

But they’ll flash that pen to their friends and brag about how they got it without having to life a finger.

People with a sense of entitlement have a problem admitting that they need help to do a lot of things in life, and instead of asking for that help they demand it in the form of taking and infringing on the lives of others without any regard for how they might be taking too much from certain people.

3) They’ll Leave You Licking Your Wounds.

Whether they cut in front of you at the grocery store or they grab your seat when you get up to get popcorn at the movies, people with a sense of entitlement make you feel like you are not worthy of the things they seem to be worthy of – they make you feel oppressed, actually.

There’s just no nice way to say it. They’ll take and take and expect you to roll over and give them everything you have. They don’t make any apologies for it either.

It’s a tricky spot to find yourself in because they are going to make you feel so angry and hurt, but you won’t feel it’s your place to say anything. Wow, talk about a rock and a hard place.

You’ll leave the store or the party feeling like all of humanity is just awful and you’ll spend way more time than you should complaining about this person.

It’s just the way it goes when you are dealing with someone who has such a high sense of self that they push everyone else out of their way.

4) They Invite You to Their Pity Party.

The trouble with people who have a sense of entitlement is that this entitlement doesn’t actually make them happy.

In fact, it leaves them lacking in many areas of their lives without the wherewithal to turn things around for themselves.

The irony is that they think they can do and have anything, but the truth of the matter is that they can’t make those things happen for themselves.

So they are perpetually unhappy. Even when they get what they want, it doesn’t fulfil their needs and the pity party continues.

So not only is someone with a sense of entitlement taking from you all the time without apology, they are also unloading all of their emotional baggage on you too.

It’s exhausting and unfair, and unfortunately, isn’t going to change anytime soon.

Key Point:
So if you find yourself in the presence of someone who is demonstrating a sense of entitlement, it’s best to just turn on your heel and walk the other way.

You can’t fix these people. Hell, they can’t fix themselves. You can bet they’ll ask you for a ride as you are walking away though, so be ready for that one.

Are you acting entitled? Here are 5 ways to tell!!
It’s no fun when you realize you might be letting your entitlement show, especially if you feel like you are the victim in a particular situation, but it’s something that is worth paying attention to so that you can start to change your viewpoint.

It’s not easy, and you won’t be happy about what you find as you move through your thoughts and actions sometimes, but calling out your own entitlement is the first step to changing the way you show up in the world.

1) You think the world revolves around you.

You find yourself getting frustrated with the way other people act around you, but it’s only because of the way you are thinking.

You might believe that everyone should act a certain way around you instead of the way they are acting.

It’s not that they need to change the way they are, but you need to change the way you are thinking about them.

Get a grip on your thoughts and you’ll be on your way to living a life without feeling entitled.

2) You want what other people have but you don’t want to share what you have.

Entitlement shows up in a lot of ways. One way it can manifest itself is that you are happy to take from other people, especially when you feel like you are in need, but you don’t want to share your stuff, thoughts, money, experiences, or anything else with someone who might need them.

You don’t see the point of helping people just for the sake of helping them. There needs to be a reason that benefits you in order for you to get involved.

3) You think you should have things just because of who you are or where you grew up.

Entitlement is most strongly based on who you are and where you are from.

People who come from a life of privilege don’t always realize how entitled they are. It’s a hot topic these days, actually, and if you want to kick your entitlement to the curb, look at the way you were raised and how many times you stomped your feet because you didn’t get your own way.

4) You always try to justify your anger or disappointment.

Entitled people think that they can act out on their emotions, despite how it might make others think. Sure, you are allowed to feel your feelings, but you don’t need to throw them all over other people.

You are entitled if you think people need to put up with you because you are angry or frustrated with something.

5) You feel like nobody is paying attention to you.

You might feel like you are all alone and nobody cares about what happens to you, but that’s not true; that’s just the thoughts you are having and indulging in.

If you indulge in your thoughts more often than not, you are entitled. You want people to see that you are struggling and feel bad for you.

It’s not the ideal way to live and you might get tired of your own company if you carry on like this much longer.

Breaking the cycle of entitlement is not easy, but if you pay attention to how you show up in the world, how you react to things and people that are out of your control, and how you decide to express your emotions in the world are all signs of how entitled you really are.

Make conscious decisions to be different and not inflict your entitlement on to other people.

What We Mean When We Talk About Entitlement

New data shows it’s not always a negative.

Wisdom that does not lead to love and compassion is not wisdom at all.

We call that “entitlement”

Entitlement is an enduring personality trait, characterized by the belief that one deserves preferences and resources that others do not. Like boundaries, we recognize entitlement chiefly by its effect on us: envyanger, and frustration. “Why do they think they deserve it any more than I do?” we wonder. And then, “Is it them, or is it just me?”

Sometimes we mistake entitlement for a sense of self-confidence projected by competent, assured, often charismatic others. Sometimes we confuse it with narcissism, with which it’s often associated, or self-absorption, which occasionally looks like the same thing. And sometimes, according to research, a bit of a fleeting, situational rush of entitlement can be a good thing; it can increase creativity and lead to novel, unusual solutions to problems, the kind of out-of-the-box thinking that organizations and employers encourage.

Whether deserved or not, a sense of entitlement enables people to think and act differently from others, and the more they do so, the more willing and able they are to generate creative ideas. On the negative side, a chronically entitled disposition may diminish the motivation to put in extra effort. When we talk about lazy, entitled millennials, particularly those who haven’t earned their As or promotions through their own hard work, those are the people we mean.

Pejoratively labeling an individual or a generation as entitled sometimes reveals more about us than it does about them—our unwillingness to recognize another’s meritorious worth or hard-earned success, which indicates how often we think with our beliefs rather than about them. (A good example is how Hilary Clinton was    viewed as entitled when she ran for political office, but not when she was actually in it.)

Whether deserved or not, highly entitled people are less concerned about what is socially acceptable or beneficial, according to researchers at Harvard and Cornell  whose studies of 99 undergraduates and 98 MBA candidates yielded another finding: Entitled people don’t follow instructions, because they see them as unfair. “They would rather take a loss themselves than agree to something unfair,” said the authors, who correlated high scores on entitlement measurements with difficulty complying with the “rules” of the experimental task. Attempting to understand why students ignored them (selfishness, control, or punishment), they found that fairness was the primary reason.

When people feel entitled, they want to be different from others. But just as frequently they come across as indifferent to others. That’s why they often provoke such negative responses in those they encounter, especially those they don’t personally know.
That may be the most significant fact about entitlement; that silent signal that our negative feelings have been triggered by it. Recognizing when our own sense of entitlement is driving us helps us understand our need to balk at social convention, rebel against limitations on our autonomy or prohibitions on our preferred behavior. Marching to our own drummer is one thing; knowing when that sound affects others like chalk on a blackboard is another.
It’s often said of the baby boomers that they felt privileged and lucky rather than entitled, while their kids and grandkids feel entitled, whether they are or not. And frequently parents are blamed for fostering that trait in their kids by giving them everything they want, when they want it, and colluding in the belief that they deserve it.

It’s an unfair rap to those who want their kids to be successful and do the best they can. It’s not up to us to tell them their dreams are unreachable or their expectations  are too high. Instead, we would be wiser to support their efforts to achieve them.

With a survival rate of over 90% without any vaccine, I wonder why the brainless math-challenged people still think getting a 66% effective vaccine is a good idea, or makes any goddamn common sense. If I met you in person off of Twitter would you be the same person you portray to be on Twitter?

Some people don’t know they don’t know.
Some do. If I could be myself I would do it so fast & gladly! It’s Truly a Sentence. A daily struggle. A kind word or a put down can set the tone for a day. May last even longer. My actions are not my choice sometimes. A little compassion helps!
Yep we have to trick my mind with Sativa also to be happy…and Indica to calm down mania #bipolarclub #depression

Having a family member who has suffered for far too many years, I know the most annoying and most used phrase is…’you got yourself into it now get yourself out of it’….implies they have deliberately got themselves into it. I agree, it is one of the worst phrases! I’ve been there myself & have had family members as well. I don’t think I have seen those statements EVER work – it only increases the shame & guilt already experiencing. Compassion is the way forward. #BeKind

Judgement comes from critical-spirited people– It’s in their nature. Unfortunately, all a critical spirit can see is what wasn’t done. They can’t see the effort it took to do what was done. How do I know? I’m depressed, married to a critic. It’s cyclothymic depression, but slower frequency and shallower wavelengths most of the time than my Dr. will diagnose. But it’s also love, better than most people find. This is so true. My daughter ( god rest her soul) suffered severe depression, anxiety, and PTSD her whole life. Until her life was taken from her from bilateral pulmonary embolisms at the tender age of 32.

And stop asking them what’s wrong, why are they depressed. I’m depressed because you keep asking stupid questions is what I want to say. You may wish to specify “people suffering from depression” to distinguish it from “feeling depressed” because otherwise people don’t get it. With bipolar depression, objective circumstances are irrelevant. You are without most or all of the ability to experience positive emotions.

This is so true, I fight being bipolar everyday some days.

It’s like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and most of the world treats you as if you’re broken.
I’ve had depression from such a young age and been on and off enough antidepressants as an adult to know there is something not quite right with the chemicals in my brain. I’ve accepted that and take antidepressants long term. Not a fix, but the downs aren’t so far down. They can choose it but it takes action, it takes dedication.

Compassion is something we need more of…right, left, in between….it is so needed…for so many reasons!

I think depressed people should be heralded for their strength because it takes a lot to get through each day. It takes a lot to deal with what life throws at you and still paste a smile on your face. Fake it till you make it! So true, an ounce of compassion can be the best medicine
….exactly…that could be you someday. Wifey goes through bouts and it took me the longest time to understand this. I had to learn to not take it personally that there was nothing I could do to cheer her up. Just be patient and understanding.

When you fight with it everyday for years like me you become increasingly afraid to reach out for the help you need and people who you can trust. I hate being deemed broken so I put on a fake face but it just masks my outside doesn’t fix me inside. Need more understanding. So true we are inclusions and we must take our power back.

Having suffered since my early teens, having a long standing of depression & suicide in my family I just want to say that we CAN choose to be happy. But it’s MUCH different than it is for ppl w/o depression. It’s a roller coaster life, but there are tools that we can fight. Off and on depression back with, but it isn’t easy! For me recognizing all the absolute shit I say to myself, beat myself up over everything, etc. It took a while to even recognize how much we can “enjoy” punishing ourselves, even for things that are totally out of our control.

I found it much easier to forgive others than I can forgive myself. BUT it can be done because I’ve done it. Oh, I still sink down to the darkness where I was comforted for over 30 years, but I recognize it and don’t allow myself to stay there anymore. A day/two & GTFO of my head. Or I KNOW where I’ll end up. It took me until 45 to decide I wasn’t going to allow my depression/anxiety control me. You have to want it BADLY though. It is much easier to surrender to it of course, but I wish I would have learned there are ways to overcome, or at least for me: keep those negative emotions at bay because I recognize the destructive way my mind works.

My Dad who was dying of cancer when I went through my depression said something that really opened my eyes in 2006. With such sadness in his eyes, he said “I wish I could understand how you feel, but I simply can’t.”
I wish more people knew about what depression does to a person. It literally kills. A kind or supportive word can do incredible things …It’s hard to do anything when you’re depressed…Be responsible for your own recovery. But it’s MUCH different than it is for people w/o depression. It made me realize that as much as our loved ones want to understand and be able to help, they simply cannot. When you realize that, it is HUGE! I know I can’t get help for my depression from someone who’s never lived it. It’s like trying to understand a psychopath. When you have feelings/ emotions you simply cannot understand one who feels

Toxic people will do their dimmest to infect you with their negativity, and when they can’t, treat you as if you’re the problem. That’s an endless well of sadness you don’t need. Unwanted thoughts are always hardest to brush away.
I love vicariously experiencing joy through the real life, hallmark moments that our loved ones are having in any given moment… And I’m especially grateful for people on here, strangers, delighting me in that same way with their sharing.

Just an observation: if, no matter what you’re doing, you’re always waiting for it to be over with, you’re probably suffering from depression. That’s a sad state. I do think many millions will feel lost in the dark winter. Don’t die yet, guys. Whole new worlds are being born. Truth is going under-ground, and the party is going to be BIG. This is why I follow you. You seem to be one of the most upbeat, optimistic, fun-loving people on Twitter. Amongst all the cynicism and darkness, far too rampant in the world today, you are a bright ray of chuckling sunshine.

Don’t waste most of your life wishing people would act differently, redirect all that energy and time towards what’s possible for you instead. Eventually you’ll need to come to terms with you trying to direct your energy is being rejected by their low vibes. That rejection needs for you to recognize redirecting your energy into fulfilling your own needs.

People who are angry with each other for the silly little things, are usually the ones who care about each other the most. When you stop comparing yourself
to others you start to focus on your own potential. It does make a difference. I’d rather be laughed at for putting myself out there than hide away and let life pass me by.

Courage comes from letting go of external approval. Always remember that. The more you don’t care about what others think of you The more you increase your courage and the more you dare to leap. Be unmoved like mountains.

But then you might not make good friends because people think you are cringing. Who knows but If they think you’re natural self is cringe, then they don’t like you for you and you should probably get some better friends. That’s a great mentality. I’m also trying to get better at that, and will 100% make sure I install that in my child. I was raised on ‘don’t try too hard because you will be disappointed when you fail’. It is toxic and has held me back so much in life.

Oh wow that’s a terrible mentality.
Failure is a good thing. It’s just a learning experience!

Absolutely, unfortunately it’s a very old school working class way of thinking.
I managed to transcend that path, mainly thanks to cryptocurrencies. Many don’t unfortunately. Low ambition is a cancer of potential. Probably why white working class kids are being left behind. The happiest and most interesting people are the ones that don’t care how others think of them. They say on our deathbeds that we regret not what we did, but what we failed to do. The cost of hesitation is the life you could have lived.

It’s a blessing you have the confidence and mindset to do so.

You can’t be laughed at for putting yourself out there.

Most of the time: When you keep the peace with yourself, you also bring peace to others.

If you fear struggle, you won’t succeed.
There’s no growth without any struggles. Remember that the more hard times you face, the more strong you’ll become. When people show me they have a fear of hard times I write them off immediately as having a chance of being good at anything. If you dare to struggle, you dare to win. if you dare not struggle, then damn it, you don’t deserve to win !!! #successmindset

Face your fears Exceed your limits Struggle is part of the success journey.
You can’t stop negative thoughts from popping into your head, but you can choose to stop letting them control you and your life.

Fear is nothing but a way your mind puts breaks so that you just don’t take the step. Rest if you have to but don’t let your mind take over you and push you to make decisions solely based on your fears. Let your desire to succeed be greater than your fear of failure..

if you’re growing and you have fears, You haven’t succeeded no matter what…

Unless it’s the good kind of fear…This can make you flop in life.

Emotions have no place while making significant decisions. Face Everything And Rise.

Never give it that much power. Fear should have no place at the decision table of your life.

Fear might be telling you what not to do. Fear might be telling you what to do. 100%, fear should guide you but not control you. Listen carefully, analyze carefully.

Or your present moment….because in the end that’s all we have, the present moment

Fact be told. A lot of people make decisions based on fear. Fear of the unknown.
