It’s you & your baseless mandates. No it’s not idiot. He’s wrong, there has to be some states that their economies while not thriving, are certainly doing better than Illinois 11% unemployment. And maybe there are some that are thriving, however, that doesn’t fit his narrative. No journalist is going to do any research to correct that falsehood and Baseless *illegal and unenforceable* mandates. There are plenty of other states in this union doing just fine without unprecedented draconian lockdowns.
To mask or not to mask, that is the question. The idea is that to wear a mask, or to practice social distancing, suggests a communal spirit of togetherness. On the other hand, to decline to wear a mask or to avoid gathering is to signal one’s independence from the herd, a kind of bold individualism that’s woven into Every Americans DNA. According to the US National Academy of Sciences, in community settings [1]“face masks are not designed or certified to protect the wearer from exposure to respiratory hazards.” [2] Another study showed that surgical masks do not provide protection for aerosols ranging from 0.9-3.1 µm. Think about it. There is a virus going around that attacks the respiratory system, and people want to put a mask on that limits the oxygen flowing through their respiratory system. Forcing healthy people to become immune suppressed by constantly wearing masks that recirculate exhaled CO2 waste and deplete optimal oxygen uptake, is at best misguided, at worst criminal, given the known data. Oh yeah, don’t attack and insult those who have chosen not to wear a mask, as the studies suggest that is the wisest choice to make.

That can increase your risk of developing blood clots that can trigger a heart attack.”

Viruses can linger on in many places: viruses are tenacious and can survive in places outside the body for quite a long time. Exactly how long they remain on surfaces depends on the type of surfaces and the environmental conditions. In a lab environment Covid-19 stayed active on plastic and metal surfaces for two to three days and for 24 hours on cardboard and paper. I also read in a refrigerated environment the virus stayed active for 3 weeks to a month. People & relationships are very important to me. I know your frustration. It grieves me that I can’t bridge the gap b/c woke generation. As a “baby boomer”, I have survived hardships. The fabric of our society produces “drama queens”, with no empathy. What really matters is you — My theory is that they actually believe that their belief system is superior to any others and that if you don’t agree with it, or have your own thoughts on a subject, then something is wrong with you. It’s a product of our mass-marketed, fast food, instant everything society. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. I review conservative nonfiction books. However, every once-in-a-while, I may review a fiction book. As long as it’s on the right side of the aisle, I’m cool with it. You could call THE HARVEST, published in 2007 by John David Krygelski, to be religious science fiction or a religious thriller. Take your pick. This incredible book is, not only, spiritual and philosophical, but also, scientific, and conservative.
Novelist Krygelski is a semi-native of the southwestern desert. Besides THE HARVEST, he has authored many novels, including THE MUTATUS NULLIFICATION, THE MUTATUS PROCEDURE, THE AEGIS SOLUTION, and more. In THE HARVEST, we’re introduced to a figure who magically appears on Earth. He looks like a human male with thick white hair and blue eyes. We soon learn that his name is Elohim, and he claims to be The Creator, otherwise known as God. (Elohim means “God” in the Hebrew Bible.) The U.S. government is perplexed by Elohim. They want the famous Religion Professor Reese Johnson, who recently left the stranglehold of leftist Harvard to teach his courses at the University of Arizona, to authenticate Elohim. Most importantly, Elohim says he has come to Earth to take the Chosen to Heaven in five days.
Sound familiar? Yes, but we’re not talking about Revelation. THE HARVEST is not the Bible; it’s not a substitute for the Bible, and it’s not a study guide for the Bible. It’s a work of fiction.
In fact, if you haven’t read the Bible, but you want to, consider making it a New Year’s goal. Also, I recommend for women (because I am a woman) the Women’s Devotional Bible. There’s a reading plan that will take you through the entire year, plus there are devotions throughout the book written by women. Getting back to THE HARVEST, because it is not some famous book discussed on a show like “Hannity” or “Tucker Carlson,” you may not have seen it or read it before. So I don’t want to ruin anything for you. What I will say is that when The Creator appears, Krygelski takes you through what could happen. Even though this is fiction, none of it seems unreasonable as we follow the course of events and the way people respond to who Elohim is, what he does, and what he wants. He speaks every language; he performs miracles; he knows what you’re thinking, and if you’re the Chosen, he wants to take you to Heaven.
In THE HARVEST, nobody who discovers they are the Chosen goes to Heaven against their will, and you could find yourself in a situation where you are the Chosen, but your spouse, for example, is not. Will you go or will you remain? It’s an exciting adventure for conservatives who believe in God and who respect conservative principles. Is it biased? or Are the villains leftists?
However, if you’re a conservative, none of that is going to offend you. What you will find is that Elohim’s words of wisdom will make you think about yourself and life in general. “If you believe that you should be of the Chosen and find that you are not, I ask that you blame no one, other than yourself, because no single person on Earth has faced an unfair test,” says Elohim. This aligns with the conservative view of personal responsibility, a view that’s important to me. It makes me think of a quote by Gina Florio, a personal trainer, wellness coach, and a manager for Candace Owens. She says, “No matter what life throws at us, the result is in our hands. So yes, your life is your fault and the decisions you have made. My life is my fault…so don’t blame me for your life.” THE HARVEST is an adventure, but it’s not one you should rush through. It’s over 400 pages. In today’s society, that could be a turn-off. People are busy with their phones, the internet, and video games. Books with a lot of words and pages are becoming a thing of the past. But this book is far from boring. If it takes you two weeks, a month, or six months to read it, that’s okay. As I said on Twitter, savor it like a fine wine. THE HARVEST contains vivid mental images, religious depictions, and scientific information that will sit with you. You may even dream about them.

With capitalism a boss owns you 40 hours+ of your week. We the people should control our workplace. We the people should control the creation of the items which fulfill our material needs. We the people should control industry, economy, and policy. We the people should control the world. It’s not what you eat; it’s when you eat. The science behind why time-restricted feeding (TRF) is effective as a method of weight loss is simple. When we don’t consume food, our insulin levels drop. During an extended fasting period, insulin goes down far enough long enough to release stored glucose for energy. Over time, the repetition of these cycles contributes to overall weight loss. In terms of your gut, it’s less about where your calories come from and more about giving your digestive system a break. We’ve discussed extensively how the foods you eat affect your microbiome. That’s because your gut is alive. You play host to trillions of bacteria, fungi, protists, etc. in your gut and your daily habits directly affect their living environment. And like all living things, your gut needs moments of rest.
Keeping in time with your circadian rhythm. Everyone’s biological clock operates off a 24-hour cycle of stop and go-signals that affect sleep, hormones, body temperature, and other body functions. For example, our bodies switch from metabolizing sugars during waking hours to fast overnight while we’re sleeping. Those who disrupt their circadian rhythm—with jetlag, night shifts, or midnight snacks—are more prone to glucose intolerance, fatty liver, blood pressure, and a host of other health issues. Those that maintain TRF that aligns with their circadian rhythm, however, are more resilient to metabolic diseases and cancer, largely because of a change in microbiome composition and metabolic pathways: IF leads to increased diversity in the microbiome with a higher percentage of beneficial bacteria such as those in the Clostridiales and Lactobacillales order. The bacteria release fermentation byproducts like lactate and acetate, which increase muscle mass and fat metabolism, respectively. The microbiome regulates glucose, lipid, etc. metabolism in the liver, reducing oxidative stress and inflammatory reactions. Overall, It has a profound impact on the gut richness and diversity and its efficiency in maintaining and repairing the human ecosystem.

Diet, Shaping Our Microbiome 7 foods that we are eating at wrong hours and which also are harming our health: We’re often told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. In fact, it is a mantra that is generally left unchallenged and around which various alleged truisms about diet are crafted. Yet some cultures don’t value breakfast. That offers some insight into the relationship among food, meals and culture. New scientific studies show conclusively that breakfast is essential to lowering the risk of a few fatal diseases. But there’s more to it than that.
The Royal Breakdown. Among the more common meal truisms is this: “Eat like a king at breakfast, a prince at lunch and a pauper at dinner.” That saying may be based on how meals affect weight loss. In other words, you can control your weight by eating that way because you become less active and burn fewer calories as the day wears on. Unfortunately, that isn’t true: Your body continuously burns calories day and night — even while you sleep. It does not have a 24-hour start/stop calorie-burning switch. The process is an unceasing burn, not a consumption that shifts moment to moment. It doesn’t even change from day to day and when you consume more than you burn off, you convert the excess to fat.
The Heavy Breakfast Breakdown. Some folks advocate eating a big breakfast to load up your energy for the day. This is akin to the “farmer’s breakfast” or the “grand slam” where you eat plenty of meat and eggs and carbohydrates in the form of pancakes and toast and muffins to fill you up. The problem is this method leads to a fast energy crash. To much food in the stomach sends the blood to the digestive system, causing dizziness and sleepiness. To many carbs causes insulin to flood the bloodstream, making your energy level bottom out. Eating too much at any meal is not a good idea.
The Vital Breakfast Facts. Regardless of what people say or believe, the truth is that breakfast is a vital meal. In fact, it can help stave off diseases. According to a research study published in the July 23 issue of the journal Circulation: “Eating breakfast was associated with significantly lower coronary heart disease.” The study examined a year’s worth of data about the eating habits of nearly 27,000 men ages 45 to 82. During the initial period of the study, the men were all free of cancer and cardiovascular disease. Tracking their health over the next 16 years showed the men collectively suffered more than 1,500 incidents of coronary heart disease (CHD). After adjusting for various factors, the researchers found: “Men who skipped breakfast had a 27% higher risk of CHD compared with men who did not.” In addition, they “Compared with men who did not eat late at night, those who ate late at night had a 55% higher risk of CHD.”
What This Means. We already know that there is an association among skipping meals and weight gain, high blood pressure, syndrome X (insulin resistance) and fasting cholesterol levels. However, this research points to two new, very important and very different facts about eating and health: Both skipping breakfast and eating late at night can increase your risk of heart disease. So the truism that one should eat three meals per day — one at 6 a.m., one at noon and one at 6 p.m. — may be based on actual health effects and not just on fitting meals around our modern work schedule. You should also give careful thought to what you put in your body at those meals. After all, in addition to staving off heart disease, you also need to support good nutrition and sustained energy.
Simple Meal Solutions. In simple terms, and without trying to create an innovative “diet,” you can see it is enough to opt for nutritionally dense foods at each meal. You should consume lean protein, plenty of roasted or lightly steamed vegetables (especially of the green-leafy variety), raw fruit, fresh water and some form of both soluble fiber (from beans and vegetables) and insoluble fiber (from grains like quinoa and brown rice). Swap out dairy beverages and product for other “milks” like almond, quinoa and hemp milk. These taste enough like milk (I actually like them better) and are healthier overall than cow’s milk. And, of course, eat organic whenever possible. There’s no point in loading up on healthy food that has been soaked in herbicides and pesticides. It is vital that you not skip breakfast or eat late at night. And it is equally as vital to eat whole, organic, nutrient-dense foods at each meal. Doing so will support your body and not send it into fight-or-flight mode. If you avoid processed foods and simple carbs, you will stave off heart disease, level to your natural weight and feel better, with more energy and vibrancy to greet each day.

Alex Azar, the secretary of Health and Human Services, noted that many people had grown tired of pandemic precautions, and tried to paint an optimistic picture of how much longer they would be needed. “Hang in there with us,” he said on Sunday on the NBC program “Meet the Press.” “We’re so close. We’re weeks away from monoclonal antibodies for you, for safe and effective vaccines. We need a bridge to that day.” “Please,” Mr. Azar said, “give us a bit more time of your individual, responsible behavior,” referring to hand washing, wearing masks and maintaining social distance. But any notion that life in America might be returning to normal within weeks, or even within a few months, was too hopeful, other officials and experts said. The public health strategies with which the public is fatigued will be needed for some time to come, even after new drugs and vaccines can be approved. And compliance with those strategies is already spotty. The statistics are headed the wrong way: More than 70,450 new coronavirus cases were reported in the United States on Friday, the highest figure since July 24, according to a New York Times database, and more than 900 new deaths were recorded. Case counts are rising in 41 of the 50 states, with much of the worst news in the Great Lakes region. Dr. Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, said the public did not know whom or what to believe about how soon a vaccine would be available. Pritzker, who was lauded for tamping down the virus in the spring, voiced frustration on Sunday that the public seemed to be giving up on safety guidelines. “People are not following the mitigations,” he said on the CNN program “State of the Union.” Governor Pritzker, a Democrat, faulted President Trump for “modeling bad behavior” by not wearing a mask in public and by holding rallies without safety precautions. “The president has made it nearly impossible for states to open up any more than they are now,” he said. He argued that restaurants and bars that did not enforce safety guidelines were fostering a false sense of security. “When people stop by and they see that, well, no one else is wearing a mask, maybe that’s OK,” he said. “It’s not OK.” Even so, the governor declined to say whether the state would reimpose tighter restrictions statewide to fight the surge in cases. Many people in the United States appear to be pinning their hopes on swift delivery of a vaccine or an antibody treatment to render pandemic precautions unnecessary. But experts say those hopes may not be fulfilled nearly as swiftly as Mr. Azar suggested. At least four companies are producing monoclonal antibody treatments like the experimental cocktail Mr. Trump received, and clinical trials are underway to see whether they can prevent infections in people who are exposed to the virus. Two of the companies, Regeneron and Eli Lilly, have applied to the F.D.A. for emergency use authorization. But the applications are for hospitalized patients only, and supplies are limited. One trial of Eli Lilly’s version was paused last week over a safety concern. A variety of vaccines are also being tested, but none so far is ready even for emergency use. At least three of the 11 Phase 3 vaccine trials that The Times is tracking have been paused for investigations into possible problems. And even when a vaccine is approved, a nationwide rollout is unlikely to be either simple or speedy. The bipartisan National Governors Association released a lengthy list of questions for the administration about how a vaccine would be distributed. We know only 1 that has been tested positive for Covid-19 but others could have had it asymptomatic or earlier this year & assumed it was flu. They both tested positive for COVID-19 on March 31, while her husband experienced mild symptoms, Deanna was feverish, coughing and vomiting. Three days later, Deanna was admitted to Michigan Medicine, where she was diagnosed with ischemic colitis, “essentially a dead gut,” said Dr. Philip Choi, a pulmonologist at the hospital. “The condition is caused by reduced blood flow to the colon and for Deanna, the surgeons had to take out her colon,” Choi said. He added that studies have shown that COVID-19 patients in critical condition can develop major blood clots, and Deanna’s doctors suspect the inflammation and COVID-19 are related. Deanna was sedated and put on a ventilator for two-and-a-half months while her family waited with trepidation, said Ken, 71. Throughout her post-acute care, Deanna suffered multiple infections in her chest and abdomen and was diagnosed with sepsis when her kidneys failed. Her husband and their three daughters were prohibited from seeing her due to strict COVID-19 measures — except to say goodbye. “I thought she was going to die,” Ken, 71, said. “We were called in three separate times to say our final farewell, each time believing it was the last, but she somehow hung on and pulled through.” “It was certainly a traumatic experience for all of us,” he said. By June, Deanna tested negative for COVID-19 twice and was moved from the specialized COVID-19 intensive care unit to the regular one. As her condition gradually improved, she was transferred from the ICU to the main hospital, Choi said.

Senators serve rotating six-year terms and are popularly elected by their constituents. The U.S. Congress is the Legislative Branch of the federal government. It has two bodies. The Senate has two elected officials from each state. The House of representatives’ membership is based on each state’s population. These two houses provide a check and balance. The Senate makes sure each state has equal representation. Much like the Three-Fifths Compromise for black slaves was to dilute the population of the South so they wouldn’t have too much control by having an increased population due to black slaves who are unable to vote. CONGRESS STOP THE INCOMPETENCE! The inability to agree on a deal & comprehend the importance of giving Americans #ReliefNow is insane! We need our medical care & means to feed our families! We WILL be voting & remembering your inaction through cost control is the best way to GO! A true democracy would ensure the voices of everybody is heard. One vote could restore slavery. One vote could end freedoms. The founders knew that because history had proven it repeatedly. Republicans have convinced themselves that it is their holy mission to seize America for the Christian faith. They see it as fundamentally right not to oppose them. Seeing how the Athenian democracy had tyrant after tyrant, I’m not so sure. You understand that in a “pure democracy”, the wolves can vote to eat the sheep? Try as he might, there’s no civic label that justifies the kind of majoritarian rule the GOP is currently engaged in. Rural representation in the Senate is 2-3 times that of urban representation. Soon, 5 of the 9 SCOTUS justices will have been selected by a majority vote that will reflect our society. At roughly 22% of the population of the United States, Catholicism is the largest religious denomination in the United States and that’s approximately 75 million members. So this isn’t political minority representation; it’s a system that has antiquated to the point of consistently suppressing the collective will of the electorate. It’s unsustainable.
A _Pure_ Democracy is the majority rule. One vote over 50% and everybody is forced to do it that way. That is why we have a Republic. The majority cannot force their will onto a minority. The devil is in the details and ‘we Still ain’t got it right’.
Holy Theocratic States of America, tap-dancing Jesus, what do you think we are? I wonder how many people out there makes this obscene argument that we are a republic first, with democratic parts. The argument fails in that they are not exclusive, and without the democracy part, the republic part doesn’t exist. The argument is infuriating, and anyone who makes it is just being an ass usually. What do you think of the concept of “mob rule” in democracy, which is usually brought up with negative connotations? This is usually one reason why naysayers will claim a “representative republic” is both different than and superior to a “democracy.” And maybe a bartender shouldn’t overstay their welcome in a political body where they obviously know nothing about our constitution or our governing practices. Nowadays people are much smarter and can use their words to make the world a better and more free place to live. Does that Sound like an originalist.. and freedom wasn’t won with an AR-15 nor mega mags either in a classroom or in the streets.
The Course is called The Psychology of Diversity in the US. With my final assignment was to create a Power point: to be used as a Workshop to start the process making changes to Social Injustice and Intolerance issues. This world is not just White and Black with Christian Life or offending Catholics or anybody with different religious beliefs. It is a colorful good place. Start a civil war and I promise it won’t turn out how you think. This is America… I have concerns with mob rules, democracy, right? Two wolves and a lamb deciding what’s for dinner is basically what we have now. There are better ways to arrive at decisions, such as the methods of political science. Whims of “trending” are swayed. When I was in high school which doesn’t count anymore because it was many years ago. I was taught that we are a constitutional republic with a representative democracy. Today people want to Amend the Constitution. Abolish the electoral college and limit the legislative role of the Senate ~ that would be crazy. 0ne person, one vote representing the “big picture always worked best.
