Yoga, dance, singing, laughing, being held by a loved one Exercising longer. Meditating longer. The serenity prayer-can you change it? No. Can you accept it? Yes. Live in the now. No thoughts of past or future.  Live in the moment.  Try dancing and music while you are anxious. Also being in nature,  ask help to friends,  breathing exercises,  healthy food and 8h of sleep,  journaling & trying for the first time Bach Flower Remedy Rescue Remedy – I’m impressed! Felt the effects very quickly .

Music… They did this study about anxiety and music and the results was amazing xoxo
Anxiety stems from not being present in the moment, and looking & worrying about the future all the time,  so awareness of when  you’re not present and bringing yourself back into the moment is key.  Visualizing — feeling at ease in situations that one would like to associate with feeling at ease in. Getting outside, and the closer to nature (forest, oceans) the better. And bring the outside in – plants will help, water features, anything that helps ground you. Mindfulness: Find the root cause forgive and forget!!!

Diving right into it. Yay anxiety your here again so fuck off.  Wonderful amazing. Let’s do the anxiety dance.  What are you here to teach me.  How will I feel when the anxiety leaves what will my life look like without anxiety. So Anticipate with joy, or don’t anticipate at all. Just Let It be .. Live in the present moment of the NOW and not of the future moments for they are only possibility not that of the now reality.

Five days centered around mastering the three pillars of the Wim Hof Method: breathing technique, cold exposure, and cultivating the mindset that allows you to incorporate these also into your daily life.  A variety of engaging exercises will have you train your nervous-, immune-,  and cardiovascular system & optimize energy flow, and find a natural balance.

Find the root cause forgive and forget!!!

I spin my buugeng. Check it out www.youtube.com/silentawareness

You have definitely heard about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. You may not know it,        or you may not immediately assign meaning to those three letters placed side by side,     however, there’s almost no doubt. . . . that you have at least a passing familiarity with CBT.. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Long slow deep breathing! Walking in nature.  Neuro-linguistic programming or NLP,    are regular conversations with a professional once a week, talking to yourself in front of the mirror, smiling to yourself in front of the mirror, music, dancing or anything that will make you get out of yourself and be busy. Understand yourself – and the moments before anxiety. Also know the patterns of yourself.  Learn to love yourself and feel at peace with yourself and who you are.

The universe has patterns and we are a reflection of the universe.

Finding the root of it. Where does it come from? What event started it? Go inside and    find the root Problem.  This is how I did it and I have no anxiety attacks for over-a-year now…. Again Deep breathing,  singing,  focus on feeling excited about something rather than the anxious and essential oils. Its the fullmoon, its pretry intense , taking a bath or going for swim can help also.

Not reading this thread is a good start. Why’s That? Do this, do that, do this, do that… Intuitively we can choose which methods are resonating with his personality. He did it  well to ask that’s how it’s possible to find a solution.  Exercise.  Get your body in shape. Run. Walk. Clean your house. Clean your mind of unwanted thoughts. Remember that anything which you cannot change – is not worth thinking about. You can control what     you think about. Study things that make you feel good. Forgive Your parents.

To permanently get rid of that feeling you would need to identify the root cause and energetically remove it. This is usually stored in the subconscious.  Anything else will change your frequency temporarily. However, if the root cause is still there it is likely        to come back unfortunately. Shadow work, NLP, and hiring a coach who can teach it       too you. Subconscious mind reorganizing.

Journaling. Exploring the contents of your own consciousness. This is the profound discovery of Freud and explored in considerable detail by Jung and others.  It can also    help if you have a very good close friend, to be able to engage in honest, open and deep conversation. Most, if not all of our communications . . .in the social context is entirely superficial. This is usually fixed by convention & protocol. It is a sort of “sacred space”      in which we can explore our innermost and intimate thoughts. If it’s caused by trauma, there is a new therapy called TIR — Traumatic Incident Reduction and you might want      to check out.

I fought anxiety a really long time, at times it was crippling and I still get to the point  completely shut down at times.. what helped me more than anything is this, I tried to isolate what was causing it and removed it the best I could from my life what was left     over was the struggles and stress of life itself… I kept myself away from environment         or situations that could trigger any sort of reaction from me but to eliminate it totally would be next to impossible.  However,  I am telling you one of the best things… that         I’ve ever done was to hit the reset button and fully process the day and decompresses      from the world around me.  Also Body Alignment by a Certified Chiropractor 🙂

EFT – you can learn it yourself and use it take the charge out of many of those incidents where you were made to feel unsafe.  Peter Levines exercises and Cranial Sacral therapy. Imagine that God will take care of things. Let that force be anxious for sorting things out. Dialectical Behavior Therapy, the Release Technique, Ancestral Healing, and Ayurveda.

Again Shadow work, mindfulness practices (not just meditation) and paying attention      to what foods and drinks you consume which could be adding to the anxiety. Interaction with like-minds, who are genuine and honest. We are humans and we are social beings —we need other people.  Share your thoughts and experience with those who you trust and who share the same experience. Moral support & guidance are essentials to self-help and quicker recovery.

Radical acceptance & improved management of the Translanguaging of the imaginarium… Setting a positive intention or outcome is the key for me personally. That’s how I manifest what I want…. Translanguaging without a language is languaging that is . . . . conducted in circumstances where, for one reason or another and to whatever extent, it is impossible in some respects to grasp what an utterance is an utterance of, or what degrees & dimension of similarity between a given utterance.

IFS!!!! Connecting with the part of you. . . .that is using anxiety to protect you (that part’s positive intent.  Losing oneself in a hobby while listening to either nature or music.  Rufas Cappadocia is my latest obsession. Kundalini Yoga. Sometime ago someone said to me talk about things you need more then complain about things  that bothered you,  someone else said lookout for solutions in perfect love instead of shwiming in “the sea ” of problems, and many more. Fancy some distinct ideas follow my chanel on FB soon I will have some blog and vblog 🙂 This video is pretty good: https://youtu.be/–z2MpEMoQg

Yoga, Qi Gong, Recapitulation, Kratom, cognitive behavior therapy,  checking thoughts & skillfully choosing perspective. confronting your fears. Its exposure therapy,  the more that you are exposed it the least scary anxieties are and the more you will realise that your anxiety was not rational  and nothing bad will happen so eventually, your worry and fear fades away to be less powerful. Usually this is undertook with the help of a specialist,  however, can be done alone and then reflecting afterwards. Also, try Emotionally focused therapy (EFT)  and hypnotherapy… all effective therapies.

Anxiety is brought on by consumption.  For GOD’s sake, stop consuming the garbage      the media and the social media spoon feed you on a daily basis and start creating art! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5d4Ars87-UU

Exercise in a group class, time in nature, acupuncture, healing my gut, diet, and going        to connecting workshops are all important parts of my anxiety management. Eating in harmony with your anatomy and biochemical processes.  Also… reprogram your mind   with guided hypnosis, positive affirmations, I am affirmations or coloring.

Doing something constructive. . . . when your anxiety, like reading, drawing, painting, or coloring writing.  What helped me was facing it,  fully be present with it,  invite it to show me how bad it could be,  allow it…. It lost its power and I feel like I integrated it instead of trying to separate my self from it.  For me it was like a side of me  that constantly knocked on the door and wanted to come in,  be seen and felt,  and I didn’t understand it and tried everything to shut it out. While reading all of these suggestions: do pay attention to which resonates to the most with you. Which feels like the easiest or most exciting or least scary to do? do that 🙂

Holotropic Breathwork !
Feel your feelings. Anxiety is symptom of something else unacknowledged/suppressed/ unfelt. Allow feelings to surface and it’s terrifying but part of the process to fully awaken. Liberation lies in realizing those fears only exist in your mind and when confronted you will see fear for what it really is; wounds that want to be seen and healed.
Wim Hof The iceman. Funny guy, good exercise and breathing techniques I found this great book called Healing Ancestral Karma – for me this helped deal with many things    that I wasn’t even aware of.

Meditation: 1st THING IN THE MORNING.

Also – check out – Abraham Hicks – YouTube audio – really. . . really helpful stuff. I like processing the underlining cause of your anxiety Dealing with what you can in the now, dealing with the emotions from what you cant solve now with relaxation until you can learn to take things as you go. I use Hertz frequencies for all different types of ailments, both physical and mental.  I like to choose sleep music that plays for 8 hours.  I play it softly so that I can barely hear it and then fall asleep to it. Good luck!

Breathing exercises will deal with anxiety and if you check your breathing patterns you       will notice that it is not continuous; you hold your breath and go for the next one; check breathing techniques it will bring more oxygen to your brain — and more important will reduce tension;  which means your cortisol level – goes down.  Find the Fear or Trauma, other ways you will be only patching the symptom. Anxiety is an alarm, don’t just hit the buzz button Breathwork. Naps.  Being in unspoiled nature,  especially around trees and moving water. Hugs. Dancing. Thinking more of others, and less of self.

Karma is the result of your own imposition of guilt. . . .during your life,  Yes forgive yourself, and ancestors and parents  and ex-lovers and neighbors … and people who        did damage to all of the other people that did something bad to people you love. You       can do this in Meditation. If you have a developed consciousness. . . . you can use the power of your intention to clean it faster  or  ask someone who works  with energy to         help you.  I find knitting therapeutic.  If you have any hobbies,  spending time doing something familiar can sometimes be beneficial. https://youtu.be/04Wx8Jp6ApY

Truama Release Exercies, EMDR, EFT, micro dosing, seeing a therapist coach, sound healing,  understanding your needs and getting them meet,  being in spaces with kind loving people, theta healing to understand and heal the root of the trauma. floating on  safe water can greatly reduce the adrenal patterning of anxiety. also energy work from     an experienced practitioner. Not being your moods, as they are a symptom!

The most effective tools against our fear and anxiety are not exercise neither meditation      (the last, at least those which are using self analysis,  self deconstruction, like Vipassana even can increase the anxiety)but regaining and reconstruction of lost sense of cohesion and fusion into social communion. Hiking works for me…going uphill and reaching that strenuous peak and releasing all the pent up emotion and breathing relief,

Stop feeding wrong bacteria in your body by eating dead food. Fresh means just killed/harvested. Try some gardening/eating real fresh food. Anxiety is the internal bacterial war projected outward.

Keeping yourself occupied overcomes Fear. I accomplished       the thing by putting things in metaphysical perspective.  The spirits have told me – with  the fear and underlying anxiety can actually used as an energy Source to prepare and to prime oneself to manifest the present.

When we begin vibrating with anxiety dropping into desire to create something new and then consciously gathering the power in the vibration  can help one ride this wave toward   a preferred shore This principle of working with the energy of our emotions is key in these times of spiritual bypass or wallpapering.

I had a lot of deep-rooted fear of physical attack although no one was threatening me in present day. It was from my father beating me when I was powerless to defend myself and subsequent bullies.  Learning aikido . . . has taught me I can defend myself, how to control energy of a would-be attacker and myself,  and also being focused  in the present moment. All things that will vastly improve the feeling of anxiety to confidence and safety. Practice feeling safety more than anxiety and it has no choice but to diminish. Anxiety is a learned fear state. You can unlearn it.

Being mindful, Breath work, tapping, grounding feet in earth, walk in forest, nature therapy, singing mantras. How mental tension can only be released through sound.        Like sighs and load long moans or chants or humming. Improv. Look for a positive             in every negative ying & yang.  I definitely recommend the simple yet effective tool             to heal everything you are upset about https://youtu.be/FhSjFx04qgk

Sun Therapy.. 15minutes per day. expose kidneys to sunlight, clears brain fog & naturally – subtly lifts your spirit. Vitamin D > stimulates Melanin > increases Serotonin + Dopamine levels.. Feels Good to Simply – Be Natural! Evidence suggests that the more time we spend outdoors, close to natural settings, the better we feel and function. Treat the natural world as if it were infused with consciousness…because it is. https://www.shambhala.com/openfocusbrain/

Qi gong and Taoist longevity breathing. Yoga, which is not exercise, but a whole lifestyle. Brain sensory integration exercises – like Brain Gym, are the quickest, most effective way to deal with anxiety. Surround yourself with waterfalls. You can heal through asking yourself why. Make peace with the higher power during the communion.

Establish what makes you feeling anxious and then ran away from that. Change place, change house, change country but change something and see what happens.

Question stress. Study stress. Learn all about stress. What is stress? Where does the word come from? Why do we experience it? (I overcame P.t.s.d.) in 20o6. I got sick of living the way I was and I decided to learn all about stress. It healed me 100% — get plenty of sleep, followed up with meditation and exercise 🙂

Connecting to the real self helps….. It’s the ego which sometimes get addicted to negative feelings. There are several types of pranayama — ( breathing exercises) that really can help. Check out sipping breath and Nadi Shodhana, Also connecting with nature. Barefoot walks on the beach or sitting in the woods.  I don’t have anxiety but taking cold showers. . . .helps reduce anxiety with the Wim Hof breathing techniques…also by doing the alternative nasal breathing resets the nervous system very quickly… I would like to thank DR SAIZA for the wonderful work he did for me. I never in my life believed that shit really works.

                                                                                               Playing a Tibetan singing bowl.

Going with the flow and believe in spontaneity: I think the big thing is to face our primal fear of Death… If you dare to face it through deliberate Ego-death on psychedelics it would most likely change your anxiety…. However, You need to be brave in the moment!  Look at Irene Lyon trauma and nervous system videos. . . to understand what is happening in your system. Is your anxiety, fear-based temper, or excitement for the anticipation of joy …? ️

Deep breathing exercises. Learn how on u tube!!! Do something with your hands when   you are using your hands your mind is quiet! Blowing bubbles, when the going gets tough, the tough blow bubbles. That is Bubbleology, less coffee, focus on routine, steady schedule, three main meals, showering in the morning and brushing your teeth (after breakfast) and  evening (before sleeping), daily words of inspirations, et…cetera ; wash, rinse, repeat.

Martial arts…Tai Chi or Tai kwon do. You learn discipline, focus, and awareness along with sureness about yourself and respect for others. Somatic experiencing,…. WTF is that?

Some fancy ass Psychiatric mumbo jumbo, does it require the participation of a qualified therapist? Will it cost $300/hr.? If you’re going to make a solution suggestion, it would be nice if you can define your terms and provide enough details to make it a useful comment.

Keep in mind anxiety is a state of extreme worry. Worry for which there is no apparent solution….. thus anxiety. Now, worry can be defined as an unresolved problem, a problem is fundamentally two opposing intentions.  In order to resolve a problem one has to select (make a choice) about the circumstance and also the action associated. . .with said choice generally brings closure to the issue…..
One will tend to hang up on a problem and fail to reach a resolution. . . . simply because without problems to solve, life looses it’s meaning, i.e. we need problems in order to play the game of life so being without them one is very upset…… To solve this riddle one must asks themselves  “to invent a problem” “then invent another and another.”

One must ask themselves (for each invented problem) to describe a person who can solve the problem.  By giving into  “these feelings”  of having problems that are solvable one will feel much better about one’s self. This appears to be odd however it is a workable principle when put into action….. So, a worried man questions his ability to make a resolution, what I do about it is invent lots of imagined problems and then invent a person. . .who can solve each one. Do this many times till it makes you feel better. This “mind exercise” will elevate your confidence and confront level to position yourself where you can now feel superior to problems (i.e. able to face and calculate reasonable solutions) and can now select a course of action and reach a resolution.
Lars, ponder this a while then do the exercise, I hope it helps mate…

If you are like me your adrenal gland might be overproducing cortisol. I also take a herbal supplement called Cortisol Manager under a functional medicine doctors guidance.  I take it before bed or when my anxiety level is higher too. If you have chronic anxiety. . .it might help you.  I take it before bed — to reduce cortisol levels while sleeping. It’s normal to have some cortisol in the day. It has changed my life but works best with really good sessions of daily meditation.

Breast Cancer and the Heart Chakra: Learn About The Connection Between / By Lisa Lambson

The Heart Chakra
Many believe that there is a torn heart chakra in every patient that has breast cancer. Situations that occur in everyday life such as divorce, death, betrayal, abuse and neglect can wound the heart chakra and lead to disease.

The purpose of the heart chakra is emotional empowerment. It helps teach forgiveness, trust, compassion and unconditional love. Emotions like fear, hope, anger, jealousy and anger all center around the heart chakra which is directly related to the breast area of the body. These emotions and issues affect the health of a woman’s breasts. Over time, this damage to the heart chakra leads to disease and illness.

The Golden Flower Meditation

First, take a couple of deep breaths and empty your mind as much as possible. Focus your awareness on the golden flower, which is the area at the upper bridge of the nose that is even with both eyes for a couple of minutes.
Next, see your heart chakra gently opening with the help of the golden flower. See your heart chakra filling with white light. See this inner radiance entering and filling your heart chakra. It is normal to feel energy move within you during this meditation and you may be overcome with a new sense of well being. https://www.cancer.org/latest-news/for-breast-cancer-survivors-life-is-better-with-yoga.html

Ruby Rose

Ruby rose is a stone that when worn can establish a connection between your emotions and your physical body through your heart chakra. It will help keep your thoughts and emotions clear. Ruby rose will help heal your wounds by soothing and healing the heart chakra. It massages the chakra and allows it to let go of the negative emotions and relax. http://journeythroughcancer.org/InitiationOfTheHeart.html

How Chakras Can Reveal Cancer In Your Body

Cancer stems from emotional-psychic causes that remain unresolved over long periods of time, and emotional healing and meditative practices provide the best cancer treatments. Humans are very susceptible to the creation of lesions in the brain and organs. These lesions create a short-circuit in the brain if unresolved can give birth to cancerous tumors.

How Disease Occurs?
Physical diseases and pain in our lives are created due to negativity and trauma that cannot be released. These manifest as illness. A disease occurs in the energy bodies surrounding our physical body on the consciousness level. When there are adequate spiritual and emotional practices, these imbalances can be dissolved harmoniously. Intense negativity repeatedly generated in the energy bodies can eventually precipitate into the physical body causing various forms of pain and disease symptoms.
Chakras are energy vortexes in the body which are affected by how we interact with life around us. They are the medium through which you create health and balance in your body or destroy it.

Cancer And The Chakras
Cancer often manifests near the most imbalanced chakra that is affected by a core         issue in the body. Emotional trauma being a prime cause of cancer was often met with considerable skepticism in the past. But recent studies are changing that view and are increasingly establishing the connection between cancer and emotional trauma.

An article in the European Journal of Cancer linked emotional stress with down-regulation of the immune system. It explored how depression could suppress killer T cell formation in the body, retard repair of damaged DNA and trigger apoptosis (cell death).

They concluded that “psychological or behavioral factors may influence the incidence or progression of cancer through psychosocial influences on immune function and other physiological pathways.”

German doctor Ryke Geerd Hamer discovered what he calls the “shock-conflict”   causation of cancer and other major diseases. He proposed that cancer stems from emotional-psychic remain unresolved over long periods of time, emotional healing          and meditative practices provide the best cancer treatments.
According to him, human beings are very susceptible to the creation of lesions in the    brain and organs due to shock and trauma.  These types of lesions create something        like a short-circuit in the brain that if unresolved can give birth to cancerous tumors.

According to Dr. Hamer’s observations the body is able to heal itself of most cancers if:
1. The patient is given therapy and support for de-programming and releasing the harmful effects of the shock-conflict on her body.
2. The patient’s body is not interfered with by over-use of medical treatment. This rather bold view is based on the belief that many treatments given by oncologists interfere with the body’s self-healing process and aggravate the emotional causes of cancer by promoting fear and disempowerment.

The Heart Chakra And Cancer
Heart Chakra is concerned with unconditional love, forgiveness, compassion and self-acceptance. It´s the chakra of our closest relationships – lovers and family.  It is the chakra bound up with cancer as well as other immune problems. Those whose heart chakra spins too fast can be possessive, withholding in love, overly dramatic.
Characteristics of a blocked heart chakra include fear of rejection, feeling unworthy           of love or loving too much. Blessed with a balanced heart chakra you will be nurturing.    Love without condition  and seek spiritual connections in lovemaking. Meditations for rebalancing the heart chakra contain important messages for cancer patients: believe     that the universe will always provide for you;  recognize that the more love you allow yourself to receive, the more love will be around for others.

Conclusion
The energetic component of cancer consists of unfinished or incomplete business.      People with cancer tend to be more connected to the past than to the present. When energy is used to keep one’s past alive instead of in the present where it is needed to maintain cell tissue, malignancy develops. (The Creation of Health-Stillpoint 1988)
Every ailment including cancer can be healed as long as the impediments of living in       the past, refusal to give up being a victim and fear of change are given up.

Directing thought and energy to the past diverts vital life force from existing cells and organs that need that energy to function and heal. Healing requires living in the present, taking one’s energy back from past traumas and hurts.
A refusal to forgive a past event or person leaks energy from the body. Forgiveness heals that leak. Healing also demands action. Eating properly, daily exercise, taking appropriate medicine are actions that support the physical body.  Releasing the past,  leaving stressful jobs or relationships,  also honoring one’s own individual truth and meditation/spiritual practice are actions that support the energy body. What supports the one supports the other because the physical and energetic are inextricably linked. Even the process of dying, which we all face, can become a very healing act as old wounds are released and unfinished business with loved ones is resolved.

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. – Eleanor Roosevelt.

Through Louise’s healing techniques and positive philosophy, millions have learned       how to create more of what they want in their lives, including more wellness in their bodies, minds, and spirits. Her personal philosophy was forged from her tormented upbringing. Her childhood was unstable and impoverished, and her teen years were marked by abuse.

Louise ran away from home and ended up in New York City, where she became a        model and married a prosperous businessman. Although it appeared that her life had turned around, it was not until the marriage ended 14 years later that her healing really began.

Louise started what would become her life’s work in New York City in 1970.

She attended meetings at the Church of Religious Science and began training in the ministerial program. She became a popular speaker at the church, and soon found herself counseling clients. This work quickly blossomed into a full-time career. After several years, Louise compiled a reference guide detailing the mental causes of physical ailments, and developed positive thought patterns for reversing illness and creating health.

This compilation was the basis for Heal Your Body, known affectionately as “the little   blue book.” She began traveling throughout the United States, lecturing and facilitating workshops on loving ourselves and healing our lives.

You Can Heal Your Life: The Movie, which is hosted by Louise, offers not only an   intimate look into her moving and inspirational life story, but also a special segment devoted to helping you apply Louise’s affirmations  and groundbreaking wisdom to       heal your own life and the challenges that you face today.

This entertaining and inspirational movie based on the best-selling book is hosted             by author and teacher Louise L. Hay. This film gives penetrating insights into Louise’s fascinating personal story;  and shows how her views on self-esteem, abundance, and     the metaphysical causes behind physical ailments were developed. It also reveals how    she applied these concepts to her own emotional, spiritual, and professional life.

A number of luminaries in the fields of self-help, philosophy, health, spirituality, and   New Thought join Louise, giving their take on success, happiness, and the myriad ways in which people can heal their own lives. And there are also gripping firsthand accounts from others who have been positively affected by Louise’s work.   YOU CAN Heal Your Life: Full Movie Here.

Louise was able to put her philosophies into practice when she was diagnosed with cancer. She considered the alternatives to surgery and drugs, and instead developed an intensive program of affirmations, visualization, nutritional cleansing, and psychotherapy. Within six months, she was completely healed of cancer.

Our 5/5/2019 Cancer Chat

Being I started my Solitarius.org Facebook Group 0n May 17, 2014. I thought: I would  give members of the group a much requested interview. So he better to do an interview with than Carl O. Helvie who many in the group wanted to hear his story as well!! 🙂

MY father was a WWII Veteran stationed in Nuremberg, Germany. . . throughout as a Machinist/ Mechanic and a member of the seven devils, The Seven Devils of WWII pass through hell to repair a broken down  tank or  jeep during WWII.  Because back in those days they didn’t send you new equipment you would repair what you had. My father told me his worse night of his life was trying to get sleep with bombs going off all a round him camped out in a vacated train car. And you didn’t know with the planes flying overhead where German or American.

Looking back … he always thought what seen him through his 3 1/2 years in Germany   was the rosary he kept in his back pocket and the deck of playing cards that he keep in his uniform shirt pocket. Playing solitaire was something he always did as a kid because it was what his mother played and taught him. Solitaire was what he played during his 14 months of terminal illness from which he won 14 games of solitaire. . . . simply by turning the cards over walking through the deck with only the 4 aces left in his hand.

Something that never happen before in his life. Which gave him peace of mind where he was heading was much better then where he been throughout his life. What my father told me about a week and a half before he passed still resonates with me today. That those final weeks of having  end stage cancer was 100 times  worse than anything he ever experienced during WWII. However, by watching him play solitaire with such Relaxation & Tranquility inspired me to name my blog solitarius.org

Carl: my story started back in October 1991 when my father was first diagnosed with bladder cancer and had it scoped and they took out a tumor which they told him at the time they had to leave just a stem, because they didn’t want to cut into the bladder wall for obvious reason. After this surgery they gave him radium treatments which always made him feel bloated. So long story short he never really felt it necessary to change his life style or diet. But was fortunate to survive cancer two more time and the third being a tumor up by the breast bone which they decided to fry it with radiation.

Then it was only a year later it came back. I remember to this day the day being February 24 2005 My mom and sister took him to Ohio State and found out it was terminal. They told him a year it was Leiomyosarcoma; rare type only 4 in a million get this type. So it was nearly the end of the dx when I went to the Shrine in Carey Ohio. When I myself was going through severe depression and went there to pray for a peace of mind. Because it seemed about every time I was about dig my self out of the dark hole I fell deeper back into it.

So on the way HOME from mass that day. . . .I was handed a vision for my blog. Which I thought how brilliant but at the time I didn’t know how to type let alone computers or the internet but it didn’t stop me.  And boy after that date:  I learned that when the student is ready the teachers would appear.  From Mant Prowg  in Kettering OH at half price books.   A Chinamen owning a business that came here and went through his own culture shock because of the American Diet.

Throughout this interview with Carl what was reaffirmed is the Holistic Approach works   if you have the Faith in yourself that it is right for you.  Also back in 1974:  he found the support of a Search of God Group that practice the multi facet principals of the physical, mental, spiritual, as – well – as staying positive about your environment and also in your relationships. As carl also discovered the importance of the Spiritual Attributes of Faith, Love, patience, forgiveness and being positive helped him overcome his dis-ease.

One Key component for Carl was remaining Faithful and also feeling God’s Presence. Carl stated everything happens for a reason and the event is there to teach you something about yourself.  WE talked about how his life was  hectic  &  stressful  before the diagnosis and he felt he wasn’t getting the proper nutrition and sleep.  And how he feels overcoming the fear of having cancer through awareness and staying busy throughout your life doesn’t give you the time to think about your aches and pains.

Carl mention when you follow your angels it leads you to friends like Ursula his best  friend that helped guide him to Laetrile  which he felt was vital in saving his life,  how       the trio of laetrile, pancreatic enzymes soften the outer shell of the cancer membranes while zinc helps guide the B17 into the cancer cells  &  vitamin A helps to keep healthy  cells healthy.   Turmeric Might do the same.  Turmeric Curcumin Absorption Health!! Benefits  (Carl feels turmeric could be less toxic then vitamin A.)                                        How Much is Anybody’s Guess?

Carl thinks some of his keys to his longevity and overcoming the odds of having three chronic illness and taking 5 medicine by the time your 65 years old is knowing the work   of Ann Marie Evers, Louise Hayes and his Medical Intuitive Thomas Moore who keeps  him grounded but connected to his higher self.

Cancer is a condition where an abnormal growth of cells also occurs in some part of the   human body. The existence of these cells, known as tumors, tends to affect the functioning of the organ or body part they are affecting. Cancers develop quickly and begin to grow out of control.  They also attack the healthy cells of the area  causing often irreparable damage to the area. A well established cancer. .  . . tends to spread across the body to various other organs, a process known as metastasis. Metastasis is an indication of an advanced stage of cancer which tends to be difficult to recover from.

Cancer detection is often a serious problem because some cancers do not produce symptoms until they have begun to grow. This means that by the time a diagnosis is done, the condition is already at a dangerous stage which requires serious treatment. There are alternative methods to test for cancer and one of these is the Navarro test. The Navarro test relies on the quantity of a hormone, HCG, in the urine.

Research has found  that the HCG hormone  in the blood is elevated with all forms              of cancer. When the level of HCG reaches 10 times the normal level it is likely to be   caused by some form of cancer.  Further investigation can then be done to identify           the area where the cancer cells exist. The main advantage of this test is. . . . that it is completely risk free as it is done outside the body using a sample of urine is expelled          as a normal body process. The other major advantage of the Navarro test is the ability       to diagnose cancer at a very early stage. Early diagnosis is the key to cancer survival.

During the early stage of most cancers, the tumor is limited to a small area and may         not even be affecting the functions of the body, thus,  producing no symptoms. Also Catching  a cancer at this stage is likely to result in a high chance of patient survival.

The Navarro test can be used to monitor the growth of the cancer. The test can be conducted regularly on a person diagnosed with cancer to judge the progress of any treatment being used. A reducing amount of the HCG hormone in the urine is a sign          of an improvement whereas the converse is true of a cancer that is not responding to treatment and is getting worse. Some might tell you its a scam!!!

CA Profile Test (cost like $200 and it’s 90% accurate at predicting future cancer events well in advance to the actual cancer being diagnosed (Maybe 5 to 10 years in advanced.)

Cheryl Broyles tells us her own story. In June 2000 I was 33 years old, while working as a wildlife biologist in Oregon, married to a wonderful husband for 10 years, and the mother of two amazing sons that were 1 and 3 years old.  I was loving life;  then overnight my life changed.

My definition of cancer it should be a clear-eyed rejection of the chaotic lifestyle that got you there in the first place. Bring into focus who you are and why you are here. Which of the options before me… will help me… become the-best-version-of-myself?” “Everything  is a choice. This is life’s greatest truth and its hardest lesson.  It is a great truth because it reminds us of our power. Not power over others, but the power to be ourselves and to live the life we have imagined.

“The measure of your life will be the measure of your courage. Courage animates us,  brings us to life, and makes everything else possible. Fear stops more people from doing something with their lives than lack of ability,  contacts,  resources,  or any other single variable. Fear paralyzes the human spirit. Life takes courage.” Fear Blocks The Immune System!!!

If I had cancer first – thing – being – first I feel get a comprehensive blood analysis of your deficiencies in your blood and get them corrected while working on correcting any chronic inflammation you may have in your body. Cancer results from 3 things: 1. Toxic Biological Terrain (toxins, viruses, bacteria and fungi)  2. Nutritional Deficiency  and  3. Most cancer patients are emotional distraught  disease come from the soul.  If your soul or spirit is also distress cancer will manifest faster. Don’t repress your emotions, manage your emotions & laugh  and your malignancy will regress.  Because your body’s endorphins come out,  your hypothalamic, pituary axis adrenal axis,  your epinephrine and your adrenaline goes down and your recovery goes faster.

It’s true emotional shocks can trigger cancer. But you can also get through emotional shocks without getting any cancer.  I’ve had the most horrific emotional shock on all   levels of what stresses out a person and it happened to me all at the same time. And it concluded with severe depression back in 2006. But I did not get cancer.

I know it was because of Jesus Christ. He saved me,  he protected me,  he keeps me he loves me – he saved my soul and my physical body from depression. No one on the face     of this Earth can breathe without him or survive whether they acknowledge it or not.

Healing from cancer takes place in the mind first. It starts with belief. It starts with the  will inside. cancer is not a disease that will kill you. Its a signal that will make you stronger.

You have to instill HOPE which will liberate neurotransmitters. Then you will have to support it: this means your mind starts believing you. So Hope turns into belief and belief will destroy any dis~ease. Building upon the power of belief and positive emotions will activate the immune system.

Stress Plus Suppression of Emotions Equals Expression of the Cancer Cells and Their Growth.  On average,  a smile uses 12  and a frown uses 11.  However,  since humans tend    to smile a lot, these muscles are stronger. A frown may be slightly more effort to produce. just because we aren’t as used to using these muscles. Laughter releases endorphins that activates your immune system.

Intravenous Mistletoe Vitamin C, B17, B12 Glutathione and vitamin K for 40 days.

Hyperthermia warm up her body because low temperatures causes cancer to grow so fast. hyperthermia is a highly effective way to kill cancer cells. They only need to be heated to about 108 degrees Fahrenheit for roughly one hour in order to die. Healthy cells, on the other hand, die at a much higher temperature, so this heating process is completely safe and 100 percent selective, destroying only malignant cells.

“Children have died in cars with the temperature as low as 63 degrees. Basically the car becomes a greenhouse. At 70 degrees on a sunny day, after a half hour, the temperature inside a car is 104 degrees. After an hour, it can reach 113 degrees.”

– Jan Null, adjunct professor at San Francisco State University (source data here)

“When temperatures outside range from 80 degrees to 100 degrees, temperatures       inside a car parked in direct sunlight can quickly climb to between 130 to 172.”

Thermodynamics in biology and the processing of energy!!
When you think Ketones versus Carbohydrates .. you have to ask yourself what do         they deliver into the human body. Like also everything else in the universe, and living      things–and the cells that make them up–must abide by the laws of thermodynamics.
First Law: Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred and transformed.    Cells absorb energy and convert it into different forms.
Second Law: Each time energy is transferred or transformed, the entropy of the universe increases.
With each energy conversion in a cell, a significant proportion of that energy is lost as heat. https://ats.doit.wisc.edu/biology/cb/td/td.htm

With all of these caveats considered, the keto diet may not be the cancer cure that some low carb lovers make it out to be, but it is still a great diet option that many cancer patients would benefit from in conjunction  with their cancer treatment.  In fact,  some researchers believe the keto diet may be one of the best diets for preventing the growth of most cancers — especially those that are linked to obesity. This is because restricting carbs is a simple and effective way to improve mitochondrial function and protect our cells from the damage and inflammation that can lead to genetic mutation. Obesity Linked to 13 Types of Cancer. The 13 cancers include: brain cancer; multiple myeloma; cancer of the esophagus; postmenopausal breast cancer; cancers of the thyroid, gallbladder, stomach, liver, pancreas, kidney, ovaries, uterus and colon, the researchers said. The ONLY doctor developed medically supervised SAFE nutritional ketogenic diet.  Fad keto diets can also be very dangerous especially if you have any health conditions. They also do not replace the nutrients you are being deprived of.  They’re high fat, causing your body to burn the fat you’re eating ~ rather than your own. A healthy keto  diet should be low carb, low fat, adequate protein. (S0 think 1/2 your body weight in grams  of protein per day, that’s just the minimum amount you need to sustain basic vitality).
Anyone can lose weight using an unhealthy ketogenic diet, but you’ll be losing just as much lean mass as fat and you’ll be nutritionally deficient. Plus, once you stop you’ll also regain because you haven’t learned anything about proper food combinations, portion control, nor established better habits such as not skipping meals, getting enough water daily, incorporating an exercise plan.
If you’re going to do a keto diet, use this website to find an authorized medical provider near you who can safely guide you through this process. Food for thought…. if a Type one diabetic goes into ketosis,  they will develop ketoacidosis and likely die.  For many cancer patients it can be taxing  a liver that is already degraded. Don’t mess around with fad keto diets. Find a doctor to guide you. Many oncologists are utilizing the Ideal Protein protocol to extend the lives of their cancer survivors. Again, medically supervised.

Remember: Some types of cancers with a BRAF V600 mutation uses fat to grow.               So if you using a high fat keto diet you would be in deep shit !!

Treating Brain Cancer With a Ketogenic Diet

27 Jan 2015 Dr. Marina Gafanovich
When Alix Hayden found out she had brain cancer in 2012, instead of surgery and chemotherapy, she chose to fight        it was a low-carb, high-fat ketogenic diet. A ketogenic diet, which cancer researcher Dr. Dominic D’Agostino said can starve cancer cells, was the treatment of choice for Hayden.
Ketogenic appears to work because each cell in the body uses both fat and glucose. Cancer cells, unable to live on    glucose and fail to thrive on ketones, are starved by limiting carbohydrates. Restricting carbohydrates in the diet          can prevent pro-inflammatory spikes in blood and blood insulin according to D’Agostino.
Hayden’s diet was approximately 65-percent fats, 30-percent proteins, and 5-percent carb. While her brain tumor    didn’t shrink with the ketogenic diet, it didn’t grow bigger. Hayden, whose tumor was categorized as slow-growing,      has documented her recovery on her blog, “Greymadder.”    https://greymadder.net/
By September 2015, things had changed slightly, and Hayden decided to have the tumor removed. The long and   winding journey from ketogenic treatment to surgery is outlined by Hayden on Greymadder.
Can You Count? Can You Speak?
Surgeons often perform an awake craniotomy. when the tumor is near the area of the brain engaged in speech.                By having the remain alert and conscious, the surgeon can test as he goes. The surgeon, according to NYC primary      care physician Dr. Gafanovich, would ask: “Can you count? Can you speak?” The surgeon would have confidence to remove things that they may not if the patient were asleep.
During a pause in the surgery, Dr. Daryl Fourney, a neurosurgeon at Saskatoon’s Royal University Hospital believed       it was important to put Hayden in touch with her husband quickly.
“Someone get my cell phone. This woman should talk with her husband,” Fourney instructed. When Hayden got            her husband on the telephone, her spouse was surprised. Only three hours into a four-hour surgery, Hayden told          her husband, “The surgeon says    to tell you he got it all.”
Several weeks later, when interviewed by CBC, Hayden said, “We were ready to expect some motor deficit. I’ve had nothing. No adverse effects.” CBC’s reporter asked Hayden if she had any advice for cancer patients thinking about         the ketogenic diet.

The Ketogenic Diet used in conjunction with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO)  produced significant anti-cancer effects in a natural model of systemic metastatic     cancer. Their results showed a significant decrease in blood glucose, tumor growth        rate, and 77.9% increase in mean survival time compared to controls.
Hypoxia is a critical hallmark of solid tumors and involves enhanced cell survival, angiogenesis, glycolytic metabolism, and metastasis. Hyperbaric oxygen treatment has   for centuries been used to improve  or cure disorders  involving hypoxia and ischemia,       by enhancing the amount of dissolved oxygen in the plasma and thereby increasing O2 delivery to the tissue.
Studies on HBO and cancer have up to recently focused on whether enhanced oxygen     acts as a cancer promoter or not. As oxygen is believed to be required for all the major processes of wound healing, one feared that the effects of HBO would be applicable to cancer tissue as well and promote cancer growth.
Furthermore, one also feared that exposing patients who had been treated for cancer,        to HBO, would lead to recurrence. Nevertheless, two systematic reviews on HBO and cancer have concluded that the use of HBO in patients with malignancies is considered safe. To supplement previous reviews, researchers summarized work performed on HBO and cancer in the period 2004–2012.
Based on the present as well as previous reviews, they found there was no evidence indicating that HBO neither acts as a stimulator of tumour growth nor as an enhancer      of recurrence. On the other hand, they found evidence suggesting that HBO used in conjunction with the ketogenic diet might appears to have a tumour-inhibitory effects in certain cancer subtypes, and the investigators strongly believe that they need to expand their knowledge on the effect and the mechanisms behind tumour oxygenation. These therapies should be further investigated as potential non-toxic treatments or adjuvant therapies to standard care for patients with systemic metastatic disease

Gerson is quite expensive and restrictive if you have time to dedicate. .to the juicing aspect and coffee enemas chances are you will fit into the 36% survival rate. Slow & steady wins the race. Iodine is an essential element in human physiology. Its role in thyroid function is well known and heavily weighted in the literature. Its role as an anticarcinogenic agent is just beginning to be widely appreciated.  The molecular effects of iodine as – well – as ongoing epidemiological evidence points to its probable role in prevention of cancers through its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, pro-differentiating, and proapoptotic effects.

This is particularly evident with stomach and breast cancer… When Dr. Brownstein,    along with my partners, over 6,000 patients. Over 96% were low in iodine, the vast majority significantly low in iodine.

Selenium Deficiency Linked to Thyroid Cancer. By supporting the repair of DNA,   selenium is able to inhibit tumors generated  by  abnormal cellular growth & the  development. By removing hazardous agents from the body and detoxifying fatty       tissue, selenium supports a healthy immune response to fight infection.

The Cancer Metamorphosis

“I had no idea how much cancer sucks.”

By James C. SalwitzMD.

My patient’s observation seems silly, basic. Of course, cancer sucks. It maims, humiliates and kills. This statement was made by not a medically naïve person, waiting to die. Rather it was spoken by a patient in complete remission, likely cured, who is an expert in cancer care. To her amazement, it changed life forever.
I think that sometimes we confuse cancer with sudden maladies such as pneumonia,          a heart attack or maybe trauma like a broken hip. These diseases are acute, painful and dangerous, but they are brief insults to the body and soul.  Once the immediate disease       is gone from the body, they usually do not recur or spread.  We survive.  We heal. They      are not a permanent burden on our psyche or lives.

Cancer is not like that. Yes, it can be sudden, painful and debilitating. Yes, we are often cured; it may be very unlikely the disease will return. The difference is that deep in our minds we never heal. Cancer in remission does not leave.

Us, before cancer, is not the same as us, after. Patients and families do not expect this transformation and are baffled that life is not back to “normal.” It is hard to accept that     a cancer patient is, somehow, always a cancer patient.

First, there are obvious and common physical effects. Residual aches and pains persist    for years. Scars and permanent surgical changes like colostomies or mastectomies.

Chemotherapy injuries such as loss of hearing, vision or neuropathy. There may be slight shortness of breath or factors that decrease endurance.  Long-term changes in skin, nails, and hair. Taste, and smell losses limit appetite and the enjoyment of food. The collapse of sexual drive or satisfaction. Memory may not be as sharp. Sleep is erratic.

There is the scourge of fatigue. Even after a good night sleep, you are bushed. Vitality        is sapped. Loss of concentration makes it hard to work or enjoy something simple, like reading a book, attending a play or watching TV. You just do not have the energy, the excitement, the moxie. Life may be drained of fun, satisfaction or purpose.

Perhaps the most pervasive change is the never leaving, always just around the corner, deep mental splinter,  that reminds you that today or tomorrow,  the cancer may come back. Every discomfort seems to be a sign of disease.

Something “obviously benign” like the winter’s cold, a toothache, or heartburn after a  spicy meal, can whisper like the first sign  of a coming, growing, illness. It is very difficult to “put it behind you,” when it is always    in the back of your mind.

The clincher? None of this is obvious to anyone else. No matter how much family               or medical caregivers try to empathize, to connect, to understand, surviving cancer              is a deeply changing and highly personal experience.

The patient I quoted at the start is a gifted, loving and highly experienced cancer provider, with three decades at cancer’s bedside. None-the-less, she was astonished to experience the transformation in her own life, which is before and then after cancer.

The cancer metamorphosis is different for each person and each patient. None of us were the same before the dread disease, and none of us experience its transformation the same way. There is no “normal,” except change.

Cancer sucks, and it keeps on sucking. Deep healing requires an understanding things are not the same. It requires communication and space, counseling and thought, support and patience. It requires time to find the person you have become.

Like building physical strength when you work out, building spiritual strength is similar but on the inside.  Building your “spiritual strength” activates your spirit and connection   to the divine from within, giving – you – the – power you need to live a life of purpose and fulfillment. Even though you already may be living a fulfilling life, your spiritual exercises will make life that much sweeter.

Just like the feeling after a physical workout, spiritual exercise allows your energy to     flow more freely,  and the feelings of love  and positivity will fill your being.  Negative thoughts will be forgotten and negative experiences will diminish. When you give and receive positive energy through these exercises, you immediately feel happier.
.
7 Exercises for Spiritual Strength

1. Spend more time with loving, encouraging family/friends.                                              Think of your relationships for a moment, does it paint a picture that you’d like to improve? Some of your best moments in life can be with family, but some others may      not be so memorable. Don’t hold on to the negative memories – they’re too much of a burden to bear. Release them and know that they will be taken care of for you.                   You are meant to be happy and enjoy life, especially happy times with those who you       are close with. When you’re focused on being spiritually centered, you are also divinely protected.  Some negative thoughts can come up and try to bring you down,  however,      you can be confident in your spiritual strength, letting it speak for you – kind of like a bodyguard!
Give this time with your family or friends the attention and love it deserves.                   When your heart opens up to your loved ones this way, new patterns and thoughts  develop in you. From these new thoughts, you can build the foundation to healthier relationships.
Take action to show those important to you how much you appreciate them. It can be       as simple as a phone call  or email to warm someone’s heart.  It could even turn their    whole life around.

2. Go outside as much as possible.
Getting outside is vital to building your spiritual strength. An increased connection            to nature and the Earth places you in alignment with the real living energy. It directly connects you to the divine, allowing positive energy to channel to you and through you. Enjoy the sunshine and let it shine on your face (your pineal gland is actually light sensitive) You can do this more by making it a habit to eat outdoors or even take a         walk to watch the sunrise or sunset.
As you spend more time outside, be aware of the sights and sounds of nature.                  Feel the energy of the wind as it blows past you and be sure to smell your surroundings. You were meant to be pleased through your senses, and nature can do that in multiple ways.

3. Reduce distractions (TV, Radio, Internet, Newspaper)
Media can fill your mind with thousands of ads, episodes, and events are nowhere near vital to living your best life.  When you reduce the absorption  of  participating in these activities, there is far less manufactured stimuli being fed in, and your brain has a chance to be silent. These moments of silence gives you an opportunity to strengthen your spiritual connection and those around you.
And if you’re not ready to give these things up or reduce your intake (we understand),    just try to sharpen your focus on what you DO want to see (like Power of Positivity),   rather than what you don’t.

4. Observe your thoughts about the people around you.
It’s very important to send positive energy to others as well as opening up to receive it yourself. There’s no room in this life to judge others, as you may be judged by others for your own actions. Focusing on pain, gossip, fear, or sadness does not serve anyone.
The energy you send others can help them hurdle their challenge, or stumble trip and fall. Be kind to all people. See the good (and the God) in them and help try to amplify that voice to help lead them to their best life. You may have no idea the kind of battle they’re fighting right now – the energy you send them is very important.

5. Step out in Faith
Be confident to stand strong in the face of adversity. Know that the Divine has got your back, and that a bigger breakthrough is in store for you beyond your challenges. There  may be forces that have an investment in keeping you from receiving your best life, but when you decide to stand up or speak out, knowing that your faith is bigger than your  fear, the illusion of fear that’s trying to hold you down will diminish and eventually disappear.
You become stronger and wiser when you step out in faith. The lessons brought about      by all people and situations we come into contact with are our teachers AND our exams – take this chance to get an A+!

6. Be of service to others
History shows that the most spiritually strong, peaceful, loving people were focused         on being of service to others. Jesus, Buddha, Mother Theresa, Gandhi… the list goes on. There is real power and peace in service for its own sake.  Take time to help someone in need, or share a contact with them who can.                                                                                You don’t have to be special to be the turning point in someone’s life – every person you encounter is brought to you for a specific reason.  Serve the situation and your spiritual strength will surely grow.

7. Make prayer/meditation a habit.
Regular observance of the “unseen” helpers and guides, angels, or whomever you call        on that surrounds you, will cause a change in you. A great exercise for spiritual strength     is to pray or meditate (however you prefer) at least two times a day.
Prayer or meditation has a formal beginning like “Dear God,” or “Dear Heavenly Father,” or “Oh Great Healing Spirit.” Other faiths have specific rituals, such as the Muslim religion reciting “The Opening” in a specific posture.                                                                                    It can be practiced in a variety of ways and positions, but all will ultimately help build your spiritual strength and lead you to your best life. As you pray/meditate, sit quietly and allow the divine to come into you to strengthen and illuminate your spirit. Keep your requests in the positive tense, focusing on healing instead of sickness or disease, abundance instead of scarcity, and so on. If you acknowledge the negative energy, you claim ownership to it and allow it to stay in your life. Flood it with the positive!
Be sure to also set aside specific times for this spiritual exercise and try your best to stick to this schedule. This discipline shows the divine. . . .that you are ready to show up for life. You can practice prayer and meditation at any time however, you can connect with the divine whenever you like, just by reminding yourself verbally or through thought that you are always one. Over time, you will see many positive results from this spiritual strength exercise.
Develop a routine from these exercises and remain steadfast in your focus of growing    your spiritual strength. As you practice, you’ll see your life improve in front of your eyes and will see that there’s far more strength inside you than you could have ever imagined. Spiritual strength creates beautiful life experiences that cannot be explained in physical terms, gives you confidence, and lets you know that you’re moving in the right direction    of life.

Daniel Jacobs’ Story

“They resurrected me and gave me a second chance. It was a great moment in my life to be able to get back in the ring.” “They say ‘you play basketball, you play football,  you play tennis.’  But you can’t play boxing.  You-have-to-fight.” Daniel Jacobs was a rising star in boxing when he began to feel numbness in his legs. Numbness became weakness and the weakness grew progressively worse.

An MRI revealed a large tumor wrapped around Daniel’s spine. The doctors also knew immediately where he had to go: NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Within hours, spine surgeon Dr. Roger Hartl and his team….were using precise three-dimensional imaging     to navigate the path to Daniel’s spine.  They removed the tumor & rebuilt the damaged area of the spinal column.  How well did the surgery work?  On August 9, 2014, Daniel Jacobs defeated Jarrod Fletcher….to become the WBA Middleweight Champion of the world.

LAS VEGAS — Tiger Woods completed what is considered one of the greatest comeback stories in all of sports last month when he won the Masters at Augusta National. It was his first  major  championship  in 11  and  15th overall — an improbable accomplishment after his career seemed ruined by – a – series – crippling – back surgeries and a subsequent back fusion.

The drama that unfolded as Woods stormed to his fifth green jacket was epic. It was a celebration of adulation shared by millions throughout the world who reveled in Woods’ triumph. But with all due respect, Tiger Woods has nothing on Daniel Jacobs.

“I can’t rate where my story or comeback would be,” Jacobs said this week, “but I know      it would be among the best. I didn’t just have cancer. I was paralyzed. That’s a whole different story in itself.”

No matter how many times you hear his story, it is no less amazing, no less a medical miracle — especially when you fast-forward to Saturday night, when Jacobs steps into     the boxing ring at T-Mobile Arena and faces Saul “Canelo” Alvarez for the unified middleweight championship.

Just after turning 24 with his career on the rise, Jacobs was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a type of cancer that grows around the bones. A tumor had attached itself to Jacobs’ spinal column, causing such intense pain he eventually became immobile. He faced death, cancer and paralysis. Jacobs was the only one who thought he would box again.

“They always talk about the cancer,” said Jacobs’ longtime manager, Keith Connolly. “But  I think the more impressive thing is that he overcame paralysis. He was literally paralyzed from the waist down for a couple of weeks before they removed the tumor. I don’t know of any athlete that has had paralysis and been able to compete in [professional] sports. He has, not only, competed, but also, competed at a high level.”

There is plenty at stake the 32-year-old Jacobs (35-2, 29 KOs) faces Alvarez (50-1-2, 34 KOs) for the Mexican’s WBC,  WBA and Ring Magazine titles.  Not only would Jacobs win the belts and the leverage for future mega-bouts, he would climb the pound-for-pound list and enhance his credentials for consideration as a future Hall of Famer. Still, it’s hard not to believe he’s already a winner considering how dire his circumstances were eight years ago.

“He told me when he was in the hospital before he was operated on that he was going       to fight again,” said Connolly, who has known Jacobs since he was a 15-year-old growing up in Brownsville, Brooklyn.  “I just remember saying,  ‘Let’s just get you better. Let’s not worry about that right now. That’s a conversation for in the future.’ But I would never bet against Danny Jacobs.”

The surgery was also conducted in summer 2011 at NYU Winthrop Hospital, and after         more than two dozen radiation treatments, Jacobs was back in the ring by October 2012. His triumphant return was a first-round knockout over Josh Luteran at Barclays Center.
“Whenever Danny’s back is against the wall, he comes out fighting,” Connolly said.

“It was the same thing with cancer and the paralysis. That’s why I think he’s going to do well on Saturday against Canelo. His back is against the wall, and I’m convinced we’ll see the best Danny Jacobs. We’ll just have to see if that’s good enough.”

There have been plenty of crossroad moments getting to this point. There was a pair of wins over Sergio Mora sandwiched around a first-round knockout of previously unbeaten Peter Quillin. He met Gennady “GGG” Golovkin for his middleweight championships in March 2017.

Though Jacobs would lose a 12-round decision at Madison Square Garden, he fought     well enough in the second half of the fight to know he belonged among the elite.

“I just knew this opportunity would present itself because I gave my very best that night,” Jacobs said, “and I just knew. . . it wasn’t the end of me. Most times, guys, they reach that level, and sometimes it may – take – a couple of years for you to see them reach that level again. I owed it to my team to make sure I stayed on the straight and narrow so that I can be at my best each and every time I go out to display my skills.”

Jacobs rebounded by claiming the IBF middleweight title in October with a split decision over Sergiy Derevyanchenko at Madison Square Garden.  He  became  the first American boxer to sign  with UK-based Matchroom Boxing,  headed by Eddie Hearn.  An exclusive deal with HBO followed, and after the network left boxing Jacobs signed with DAZN, the live streaming service that will present Saturday’s bout.

“It never ceases to amaze me the opportunities that have arisen for me after my cancer scare,” Jacobs said. “I’ve been able to, not only,  fulfill my dreams and become a world champion,  but also,  there’s been so many different opportunities…. that just blow my mind and opportunities that I never thought I’d have.

I’ve always just wanted to get back into the ring.  That was my main goal. But there has been so much presenting themselves that I’m really blown away.”Perhaps it’s fitting he’s returning to Las Vegas for the biggest fight of his career.  It was also 9 years ago when he faced Dmitry Pirog at Mandalay Bay for the WBO middleweight belt and suffered his first professional loss in 17 fights. Jacobs shouldn’t have fought that night.

His grandmother, Cordelia Jacobs, the woman who had raised him, had died a few days earlier, and Jacobs was in no shape mentally to enter the ring. He was stopped in the fifth round.“I’m a completely different fighter now,”  Jacobs said.  “I’m  a completely different person with a mature mind and a lot more skills and a lot more mental strength.”

A constant in Jacobs’ journey has been trainer Andre Rozier, who refers to Jacobs as his son and is confident this is Jacobs’ moment to shine. “When you fight – the hardest fight that you ever can fight in your life, I’m sorry to say, however, these events don’t add up,” Rozier said, referring to Jacobs’ bout with cancer.  “Danny has been through the worst -anybody could be through, and this is just common fodder, and Danny is going to once again rise to the occasion.

This is actually a stage in Danny’s career that he has earned and prepared himself             for since he was an amateur, to become the No. 1 middleweight in the world [and]  destined to be a Hall of Famer.  He is destined to show that greatness comes from         hard work and dedication.”

Jacobs doesn’t shy away from being a cancer survivor. He adapted the moniker        “Miracle Man”  and does commercials  for the hospital that aided in his recovery.                He has become a motivational speaker, a symbol for overcoming life’s adversities.

“With Daniel Jacobs, you have a message of complete hope to anybody who is suffering,” Hearn said.  “Daniel Jacobs was paralyzed.  He couldn’t walk.  He was told he may never walk again  and told he certainly  wouldn’t ever fight again.  I want people to look at this fine young man and realize there is hope. He’s inspirational.”

Jacobs, a former Golden Gloves champion, has benefited from an era when the middleweight division has interest — with Alvarez, Jacobs, Golovkin and Jermall        Charlo gaining appeal. Beating Alvarez would put Jacobs on the top of the list.

“Canelo is not only the face of boxing, but he is probably pound-for-pound one of the    best in the sport,” Jacobs said. “He’s one of the most recognized fighters in all our sport.    I think a victory over him, a convincing victory, would definitely solidify my spot and it would be inevitable for people to know who Daniel Jacobs is.”

He has a comeback story even better than a man named Tiger Woods.

Go Rest High On That Mountain

Cheryl Boyles tells us her story below. In June 2000 I was 33 years old, working as a wildlife biologist in Oregon, married to a wonderful husband for 10 years,  and also the mother of  2 amazing sons that were 1  and 3 years old.  I was loving life;  then overnight my life changed.  I began having headaches  that felt like my skull was going to explode. An MRI showed my brain was hemorrhaging.

I went into surgery and an acorn sized grade  four Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) brain tumor was removed.  I was told I had less than a year to live. I quit my job, and focused on being a mother  and fighting brain cancer.  I went through radiation, but chose not to take chemotherapy. The chemo would only add 3 months to my life, but quality of life would be miserable.

I decided to take more of a natural “alternative” approach, by also trying to boost my own  immune system. My good cells outnumbered my bad cancer cells! I started eating organic, following  a low carbohydrate diet, exercising,  also simplifying life  and nursing a positive attitude, taking acupuncture, many supplements, cannabis, some “off label” prescriptions (like Metformin),  and most of all leaning on God for strength which feeds me with hope.

Over the 16 years fighting the terminal brain cancer, I’ve unfortunately was hit with six recurrences.  The fact that I have survived is unbelievable.  My doctors even say’s so. Most people with the GBM die with their first recurrence, which usually happens within the first few years.  To fight my recurrences,  I mostly focused  on my alternative actions,  but also, continued with some of the standard treatments. I’ve been through six brain craniotomies, 6 week of conformation radiation, over 3 ½ years on the milder chemo. . .called Temodar, and what is called Gamma Knife radiation.

Taking this approach of combining  many alternative  and standard treatments,  trying       to  hit the cancer from many angles, has become known at a “cocktail” approach. It seems to be working for me,  not that I’m cured,  but I’m still alive & loving life. Over the sixteen years I’ve had over 100 MRIs, and it’s great to say that my last MRI was clear, no seen GBM. I have become known in the “brain tumor world” as a long term survivor.

Patients and caregivers from around the USA and around the world contact me wanting    to know “How do you do it?” So I’ve put together a web page, wrote a book called Life’s Mountains, and made some videos hoping to reach out and encourage others.

Now my husband and I have been married 26 years, growing stronger together. My two boys are now 17 and 20 years old, both wanting to become wildlife biologists like mom & dad. And over the years I’ve been blessed with many things. Seeing life anew, learning to be content regardless of circumstances,  enduring through the challenges, and living life   in the moment.

Cheryl Broyles travels from Oregon. . . .to San Francisco for treatment of glioblastoma,      the most common primary brain tumor.  When Cheryl Broyles  goes to UCSF every three months to get scanned for brain cancer and meet with her doctors, she seeks out a patient in the neurology waiting room who recently underwent surgery or seems anxious. In June will mark her 19th Anniversary since her first dx.    Enjoy the Interview  HERE:

**This study examined the effect of ketogenic metabolic therapy (KMT) on a patient with glioblastoma multiforme brain cancer. A Ketogenic Diet reduces the sugar fuel needed by the cancer tumor to grow and the diet also elevates ketone bodies as fuel for normal cells, and a fuel that cancer cells cannot easily use for survival.

Tough Love

“Tough Love”
When I was battling stage 4 breast cancer I learned so much about a new kind of love. Tough love, it is people parting with their money, their time and service when they have     a loved one fighting for their life with stage 4 cancer.

When you get diagnosed with stage 4 cancer as I did back in 2010, it can seem to be the end of the road. Especially if you have been through it once before. It’s not uncommon for oncologists to say, “There is nothing left we can do for you.” You are in shock; you go home feeling scared and tell those you love the sad news. It’s normal to break down and go through a period of momentary defeat.

Sometimes, that’s all it is, ”a moment,” perhaps a long moment, until suddenly you feel       a surge of will to keep fighting. You don’t want to give up! You’ve heard of miracle stories, where success had happened even when all seemed lost! What if I can be that miracle too! It’s a long shot, but, “What if…”

As a survivor of stage 4 cancer who healed without chemotherapy and went to Mexico          I also understand how loved ones could think you are on a fool’s mission to keep fighting against all odds. This usually means a financial hardship and possibly having to reach out to family and friends to help you with funds for that final fight to save your life in a very unconventional way.

It means going the alternative route for many when conventional failed or you just        can’t see yourself choosing a toxic approach. Like all cancer treatment, it still offers          no guarantees to survive and insurance will not cover what your intuition is telling           you what you must do.

Our support system is our loved ones and oftentimes rather than being hopeful,                and to protect their own hearts from disappointment,  it’s easier for friends or family          to say a thing like: “It’s time for you to understand you are in denial.” “Is it worth it to invest money in false hope?”

“You’re so desperate you can’t even see or recognize a scam and how alternative doctors are just out for any money you have left! Is it worth all the effort of fundraising?”

I had a second battle with cancer, and I heard things like: “What about our friends and family? Do we burden them again this second time around?” (My criticizing voice in my own head was my nemesis and my greatest downfall). She always said things to me like that never helped and only hurt; “Don’t bug people!

They will think you’re crazy! They’ll just turn you down if you beg for help! It’s not worth  it (which meant My life was not worth it” Once I got rid of her, the disapproval stopped in my own head and I started learning self-compassion. I was not afraid to reach out for help and I knew I would have been hurt if a loved one did not reach out to me.

People unknowingly said things that were discouraging. I am glad I dared to keep        trying and never give up.  My friends granted me the freedom to be that burden,  and           it was so humbling. I was self-conscious and learned more of my value to them in their lives because of their compassion and generosity the entire time!

They gave their hearts and souls through it all. I felt so scared of wasting their time         and money but also made a “pay it forward” kind of promise to help others should                I live through this! I am proof, and so are many others, that miracles are possible!

Thank you for all who believed in me and my will to keep up the fight when my UCLA doctor ran out of options.  The breast cancer spread to my lungs and bones, and he did      all he was allowed to do. He did his best! However, it did not prove to be the best in the world for me! I never gave up.

When you walk out of that office, you are changed. After the shock wore off and with    some deep personal introspection, I realized I didn’t want to give up! S0 I looked for another way; a healthier way.

I wasn’t angry my health insurance didn’t cover alternative treatment in a Mexican hospital; after all, it was not my country. So, I guess getting my affairs in order as the doctor suggested meant for something completely different than what he had in mind.

For me, it meant fundraising and getting ready for plan B: “Mexico or Bust!”

Those who are still hopeful and don’t feel like giving up know what I mean. It doesn’t matter what they tell us. There are no guarantees in this life. So, how can anyone give       up when someone has a fight left to try and live?

Tough love to me is also where your loved ones roll up their sleeves and say, “Really…     the doctor says there is nothing else to be done?!” Then they ask, “Do you want to keep trying?  If you do,  then I will fight with you.  Even if it’s a trip to Rome for Holy water   let’s get some.

Faith is the most significant part of the cancer patient’s battle; they need it now more   than ever to keep on this journey whether or not it means complete healing!

If you know someone who is sick, do all you can to share some of your own faith and encouragement with them. The closer you are to them, the more it will hurt later on if    you don’t.

My Gerson Story So Far

I’m an independent trucker and have been doing the therapy on the road in my semi-   truck for over five years.  I’m in my truck five days a week  running from my home in Northern Idaho to Southern California and back through Spokane, Washington.

Like you, when I first learned of the Gerson Therapy. I KNEW this was God’s                   way to heal the body that He created and that I’m only a steward of.

Due to my tight schedule:  hauling perishable salad dressings and fresh produce. I knew      I had to do a modified version of the therapy. I do about 1 coffee enema per day and drink about seven or eight juices total. With most of them taken within three hours of my coffee break  (knowing the coffee-induced liver enhancement  lasts about that long.)

I bring the produce home most weeks and my wife makes the juices for each 5 day period and the meal prep except for the oatmeal that I cook in a five quart covered glass dish that fits in my 12-volt travel stove. I also use this to heat up the food my wife makes. I have two ice coolers that I keep the food in.  One cooler is just for the juice  which we pour into half gallon jars and then place in the cooler with the ice.

Oh, the coffee breaks? Let me just say like you probably said, “where there’s a will      there’s a way.” Suffice to say that the task is accomplished in the proper Gerson manner whether there’s a bathroom nearby to walk to after the 15 minutes or not. No mishaps so far!

I’m 60 years old now and in 2013.  I was diagnosed with prostate cancer through needle biopsy. The result was 6 of 12 cores positive, and Gleason 6 (not as fast-spreading as some). After doing my modified protocol. . . I got a second biopsy 21 months later that showed an almost 90% reduction in the cancer detected with only 1 core positive out of twelve  (I’ll post these biopsies at the end.)

That’s an introduction – What follows is a longer Facebook comment I made a few months ago which may be redundant for some in this group but I’ll include here for the benefit of so many new members: Thanks to all!

In Today’s World with cancer rampant compared to 120 years ago it’s obvious we’ve been doing something wrong.  Our bodies and immune systems are compromised from dealing with impure food, water, and often air (especially indoor air) not to mention alcohol/drug abuse, etc. Another major problem is the sodium/potassium ratio. Virtually everyone has too much sodium and not enough potassium which results in cellular edema.

Sodium (or table salt)  is added to almost every processed food there is.  This cellular   edema severely inhibits energy production and metabolism by restricting entry of sugar and oxygen to the cells. In this state of cellular disruption it’s only natural to see so many debilitating conditions  or “diseases,”  especially diabetes and cancer plus about 50 other common things we’ve all heard of or experienced.

The Gerson Therapy slowly reverses this by taking away the cause of most of the problems in the first place. The therapy consists of a radical change in diet. Plus also other non-drug protocols  (yes,  coffee enemas for enhanced detoxification  through the liver)  and natural nutritional supplements including a special 3 part type of potassium compound.

The diet is vegetarian (easily digestible & high in potassium) but not entirely vegan         and takes at least 18 months to 2 years to restore proper cellular function and most importantly to rebuild the liver.  The full therapy may include as much as 20-23 lbs.            of organic produce (!) mostly in the form of freshly-pressed juices and about 2-3 lbs. cooked plus raw salads, etc.

My protocol is modified. Instead of thirteen 8 ounce juices per day  I have 7 or 8.
My Urologist is no longer recommending I have my prostate removed but “keep an          eye on things” through ongoing tests, etc. But he’s still not quite sure what to make             of it all.  I’ve always emphasized hard work  but in my case  I tend to overwork and       always have.  The trouble is this activity (yes often prideful) is bad for the immune      system.

So if you’re like me you think you can get away with not following all the rules.

For me the main one is not getting enough sleep. On top of that, after the first year             or so you feel so good you start to think you’re invincible… again. So for people like           me the risk is to not get enough rest and sleep. Had I done so I don’t think I would        have still had some cancer present 21 months into the therapy. So now I’m slowing     things down to allow my immune system to catch up.

Nonetheless, I’ve experienced huge progress not just in the cancer department –
1) My right arm strength had deteriorated down to less than half that of my left arm. Dystrophy? After about 8 months on the therapy it was back to normal.
2) Chronic underlying cough was gone in first 5 or 6 months.
3) Hemorrhoids gone in first 5 or 6 weeks
4) Then I noticed last spring when tilling the garden all day I didn’t get the usual sunburn as in every year before! (I found out later that all the beta carotene in the juices is a natural sunscreen).
5) Energy! I wanted to see if what I was feeling was real or not. When fully rested I felt     like I could run 5 miles! So recently I did just that, I had my son take me out 5 miles from home and drop me off. I also ran home nonstop in just under 50 min, not the greatest but pretty good for not having run except for a mile or two a couple of times. . . in the 16 years since I retired from the Army. My upper legs were sore, however,  my breathing and heart rate were fine.
6) Now notice- Five years later (2018) still on the same protocol, my right knee re-healed stronger than ever from ACL/MCL surgery  ten years earlier.  My left (stiff) shoulder also healed soon after this.  To be fully successful  this therapy  must necessarily change your lifestyle for the rest of your life.  I still eat 90-95% Gerson  (but all organic) and continue with 1 CE and 5-6 juices per day.  Had I not continued after the first 2 years I don’t think     I would have experienced the healing in my knee and shoulder.

Ken, Here’s the most important part to add to my story. You have the “Before” biopsy which shows 6 out of 12 needle cores positive for prostate cancer. This is the “After” biopsy that shows 1 of 12 positive.   Thanks 🙂

I’m now looking at a comprehensive cancer blood test called CA Profile (look up               Dr. Schandl in Florida) as maintenance.  Yes, the therapy works in most cases if                 you actually follow it and even in about 50% of terminal cases as documented in               Dr.  Gerson’s book, “A Cancer Therapy: results of 50 cases.”

When I foolishly tore up my knee (ACL, MCL, meniscus) in a dumb logging accident          in 2008 I didn’t hesitate to have it surgically repaired. But in the case of debilitating conditions and cancer let’s not rush fearfully into destructive “treatments” but treat         our bodies as our Creator  would have us do and help it to heal itself as He intended.
“For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but “nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as             the Lord the church.”  Ephesians 5:29    ~ Alan Galloway.

Vegan Ketogenic Diet

“Dr David Jockers Ketogenic Diet and Cancer”

In 1948, the World Health Organization defined health        as ‘a state of  physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity’.

Detractors claim that this definition of health is utopian and unrealistic.

However, accumulating evidence from experimental studies suggests that aging is            not inevitably linked with the development of chronic diseases, and the age-associated accumulation of molecular damage can be prevented or greatly delayed by dietary and genetic manipulations that downregulate key cellular nutrient-sensing pathways.

Nonetheless, to obtain a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, we as human beings need to go beyond nutrition or pharmacological treatments and implement a combination of interventions that enhance not only our metabolic health,  but also,  our psychological,  emotional,  intellectual and spiritual development, our social relationships and cultural well-being.

This perspective highlights a range of scientific research-based interventions that can potentially be used to promote human health and longevity. We will also briefly address the importance of environmental health in achieving this goal.

The ketogenic diet is a very low-carb, moderate-protein, and high-fat diet which puts      the body into a state known as ketosis: a metabolic shift in which the body is burning fats rather than carbohydrates as its primary source of fuel.  This is a pretty simple definition, but in order to fully  understand how the ketogenic diet works  and its benefits,  it is also important to have a grasp on exactly how the body uses energy in the first place:

  • Normally, when carbohydrates are consumed in the diet, they are converted to glucose and insulin. Glucose is the simplest form of sugar, meaning that it is easy for your body to convert & use as energy. This is why glucose is the body’s preferred source of energy.
  • Insulin is a hormone that is produced by the pancreas to process the glucose in your blood steam by transporting it around the body to where it is needed. When energy levels are sufficient, insulin will convert glucose to adipose tissue (fat) for later use.
  • With the average high-carbohydrate diet, glucose is the main energy source because there is an abundance of it. However, the body can only store a limited amount of glucose—only enough to last for a couple of days.
  • Therefore, if we forgo eating carbohydrates for a few days, our body relies on other means for energy through a biochemical process known as ketogenesis.
  • In ketogenesis, the liver begins to break down fat as a usable energy source instead      of carbohydrates. Ketones or ketone bodies are produced as an alternative energy source to glucose.
  • Once ketogenesis kicks in and ketone levels are elevated, the body is in ketosis.

How to Enter Ketosis
There are a few ways to body can enter ketosis. One is by fasting: when you stop eating altogether for an extended period of time, the body will ramp up fat burning for fuel and decrease its use of glucose. Another way to get into ketosis is by eating less than 20-50 grams of carbohydrates per day (it will vary per individual). Therefore, people on a ketogenic diet get only about 5% of their calories from carbohydrates.

Steps to enter ketosis:
Cut down on carbs (less than 5% of calorie intake).
Increase your consumption of (up to 80% of calorie intake).
Without glucose being used for energy, your body is now forces to burn fat and produce ketones instead.

Once the blood levels of Ketones rise to a certain point, you officially enter into ketosis.
This state results in consistent, fairly quick weight loss until your body reaches a health and stable weight.

Benefits of a Ketogenic Diet:
Unlike many fad-diets that come and go, the ketogenic diet has been practiced for more than nine decades (since the 1920s) and is based upon a solid understanding of physiology and nutrition science. This diet works well for so many people because it targets several key, underlying causes of weight gain—including hormonal imbalances, elevated insulin and high blood sugar levels. A ketogenic diet has even shown to offer therapeutic benefits for several brain disorders.

1. Weight loss

A diet high in fat and low in carbohydrates, such as the ketogenic diet, helps to diminish hunger  and boost weight loss  through hormonal effects.  When we eat foods that supply   us with carbohydrates, we release insulin. But with lower levels of insulin, the body is less likely to store extra energy in the form of fat and instead able to use existing fat stores for energy.  A diet high in healthy fats  and protein is also much more filling,  which can help curb appetite and reduce the overconsumption of empty calories, such as sweets and junk food.

2. Cholesterol and Blood Pressure

A ketogenic diet has shown to improve triglyceride and cholesterol levels most associated with arterial buildup.  More specifically low-carb,  high-fat diets show a dramatic increase in high density lipoprotein (HDL) and will decrease low density lipoprotein (LDL) particle counts as compared to traditional low-fat diets. Many studies show better improvement in blood pressure. High blood pressure issues are often associated with excess weight, which is a bonus because the ketogenic diet tends to lead to weight loss as well.

3. Controls Blood Sugar

A ketogenic diet also helps with lowering blood sugar levels by controlling the release of insulin. This can help reverse problems such as insulin resistance or pre-diabetes. Studies have shown ketogenic diet to reduce HbA1c levels—a long term measure of blood glucose control.  And This diet works  so well at reducing blood sugar levels,  it has the additional benefit of helping people  with type 2 diabetes — to reduce  their dependence on diabetes medication, however, it’s important to speak with your doctor prior to starting a ketogenic diet or adjusting any medications.

4. Fights Neurological Disorders

Over the past century, ketogenic diets have been used to treat and even help reverse neurological disorders and cognitive impairments, including epilepsy. Research shows that cutting off glucose levels with a very low-carb diet makes your body produce ketones for fuel. This change can help to reverse neurological disorders and cognitive impairment. The brain is able to use this alternative source of energy instead of the cellular energy pathways that aren’t functioning normally in patients with brain disorders.

In a study of children who suffer from epilepsy, over half had a greater than 50%  reduction in seizures when eating a ketogenic diet, while 16% even became seizure free. The benefits of a ketogenic diet are now even being studied for other brain disorders, including Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.

So, what can I eat on a ketogenic diet?
A keto meal should contain high amounts of healthy fats, such as olive oil, coconut oil, grass-fed butter or ghee, palm oil, avocado, tree nuts, seeds & fatty cuts of wild-caught fish, grass-fed beef or bison, and free range poultry.

Fats are a critical part of every ketogenic diet because fat is what is providing energy for your body and preventing hunger, weakness, and fatigue. Keto meals also need a good amount of non-starchy vegetables, such as broccoli, leafy greens, asparagus, cucumber, zucchini, and other cruciferous vegetables.
The types of food you will want to avoid when eating a ketogenic diet include items like fruit, processed foods or drinks high in sugar, those made with any grains of white/wheat flour, conventional dairy products.

A Whole-Food Vegan Ketogenic Diet for Treatment of Cancer

Plant protein diets inhibit tumor growth independently of protein content.
To investigate whether modifications in protein quality (i.e. aminoacid composition)       are beneficial in delaying PCa growth, mice were placed on either regular (20%) or a reduced (10%) protein diet from animal  or vegetable sources for four-weeks prior to surgically castration and subcutaneous implantation of LuCaP23.1-CR xenografts.

At the end of the experiment (6 weeks), mice were sacrificed and tumor weights were collected. As shown in figure 5,  a diet containing 20% plant protein decreased tumor weight  by  37%  as  compared  to  a  20% animal dairy protein diet (p<0.045, 95% CI=    -1.484 to -0.01818). The inhibitory effect on tumor growth exerted by the 20% and 10% plant protein diets was similar. Interestingly, there was no additive effect of switching from animal  to plant proteins  when dietary protein content was 10%, suggesting that          a threshold exists below which the amino acid composition is less important than the protein content of the diet.
Nearly a century of research has shown that nutritional interventions can delay aging    and age- related diseases in many animal models and possibly humans. The most robust and widely studied intervention  is caloric restriction,  while protein restriction and also restriction of  various amino acids (methionine, tryptophan)  have been shown to delay aging. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27346343

However, there is still debate over whether the major impact on aging is secondary to caloric intake,  protein intake or specific amino acids.  Nutritional geometry provides new perspectives on the relationship between nutrition  and also aging by focusing on calories, macronutrients and their interactions across a landscape of diets,  and taking into account compensatory feeding in ad libitum-fed experiments. Nutritional geometry is a state-space modelling approach that explores how animals respond to and balance changes in nutrient availability.

Such studies in insects and mice have shown low protein, high carbohydrate diets are associated with longest lifespan in ad libitum fed animals suggesting that the interaction between macronutrients may be  as important  as their total intake.  Mice & humans with growth hormone receptor/IGF-1 deficiencies display major reductions in also age-related diseases.

Because protein restriction reduces GHR-IGF-1 activity, we examined links between protein intake and mortality. Respondents aged 50-65 reporting high protein intake had   a 75% increase in overall mortality and also a 4-fold increase in cancer death risk during the following 18 years. These associations were either abolished or attenuated if the proteins were plant derived.

Conversely, high protein intake was associated with reduced cancer and overall mortality in respondents over 65, not only,  a 5-fold increase  in diabetes mortality  across all ages. Mouse studies confirmed that the effect of  high protein intake and GHR-IGF-1 signaling on the incidence and progression of breast  and melanoma tumors, but also, detrimental effects of a low protein diet in the very old.  These results suggest that low protein intake during middle age followed  by moderate to high protein consumption in old adults may optimize health span and longevity.

Epidemiological and experimental data indicate that diet plays a central role in the pathogenesis of many age-associated chronic diseases, and in the biology of aging itself. Data from several animal studies suggest the degree and time of calorie restriction (CR) onset,  the timing of food intake as – well – as diet composition, play major roles in also promoting health and longevity, breaking the old dogma that only calorie intake is important in extending healthy lifespan.

Data from human studies indicate that long-term CR with adequate intake of nutrients results in several metabolic adaptations that reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and cancer. Moreover, CR opposes the expected age-associated alterations in myocardial stiffness, autonomic function, and gene expression in the human skeletal muscle.

However, it is possible some of the beneficial effects on metabolic health are not entirely due to CR, but to the high quality diets consumed by the CR practitioners, as suggested by data collected in individuals consuming strict vegan diets.

More studies are needed to understand the interactions among single nutrient modifications (e.g. protein/ amino acid, fatty acids, vitamins, phytochemicals, and minerals),  the degree of CR and   the frequency of food consumption in modulating      anti-aging metabolic & molecular pathways, and in the prevention of age-associated diseases. http://catalyticlongevity.org/prepub_archive/veganketogenic.pdf

Calorie restriction (CR), a nutritional intervention of reduced energy intake but with adequate nutrition, has been shown to extend healthspan and lifespan in rodent and primate models.

Accumulating data from observational and randomized clinical trials indicate that CR        in humans results in some of the same metabolic and molecular adaptations that have been shown to improve health and retard the accumulation of molecular damage in  animal models of longevity.

In particular, moderate CR in humans ameliorates multiple metabolic and hormonal factors that are implicated in the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer, the leading causes of morbidity, disability and mortality. In this paper, we will discuss the effects of CR in non-obese humans on these physiological parameters.

Special emphasis is committed to recent clinical intervention trials that have investigated the feasibility and effects of CR in young and middle-aged men and women on parameters of energy metabolism and metabolic risk factors of age-associated disease in great detail. Additionally, data from individuals who are either naturally exposed to CR or those who are self-practicing this dietary intervention allows us to speculate on longer-term effects  of more severe CR in humans.

It is recently shown that beneficial environmental microbes stimulate integrated immune and neuroendocrine factors throughout the body,  consequently modulating regulatory     T-lymphocyte phenotypes, maintaining systemic immune balance, and determining the fate of preneoplastic lesions toward regression while sustaining whole body good health. Stimulated by a gut microbiota-centric systemic homeostasis hypothesis, we set out to explore the influence of the gut microbiome to explain the paradoxical roles of regulatory T-lymphocytes in cancer development and growth.

This paradigm shift places cancer prevention and treatment into a new broader context     of holobiont engineering to cultivate a tumor-suppressive macroenvironment. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24778636

Do your immune system a favor and pack more fruit and vegetables on your plate.
They’re loaded with nutrients, called antioxidants, that are good for you.
Add more fruit and vegetables of any kind to your diet. It’ll help your health.                   Some foods are higher in antioxidants than others, though.
The three major antioxidant vitamins are beta-carotene, vitamin C, and vitamin E.       You’ll find them in colorful fruit and vegetables, especially those with purple, blue,         red, orange, and yellow hues.

Beta-carotene and other carotenoids: apricots, asparagus, beets, broccoli, cantaloupe, carrots, corn, green peppers, kale, mangoes, turnip and collard greens, nectarines, peaches, pink grapefruit, pumpkin, squash, spinach, sweet potato, tangerines, tomatoes, and watermelon
Vitamin C: berries, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cantaloupe, cauliflower, grapefruit, honeydew, kale, kiwi, mango, nectarine, orange, papaya, snow peas, sweet potato, strawberries, tomatoes, and red, green, or yellow peppers
Vitamin E: broccoli (boiled), avocado, chard, mustard and turnip greens, mangoes,      nuts, papaya, pumpkin, red peppers, spinach (boiled), and sunflower seeds

These foods are also rich in antioxidants:
USDA chemist Ronald L. Prior says the total antioxidant capacity of the foods does not necessarily reflect their health benefit. Benefits depend on how the food’s antioxidants    are absorbed and utilized in the body. Still, this chart should help consumers trying to    add more antioxidants to their daily diet.

The Hormone Cure

Sara Gottfried reveals the hormone cure that can help you reboot your metabolism.

Your body is equipped with a thermostat that can help you burn off extra fat. The adipostat located in the hypothalamus, or control center of your brain — that also receives metabolic messages from the body — that dial down hunger when fat stores are sufficient and turn up hunger when fat stores are deficient.

Although obesity and its associated metabolic dysregulation are established risk factors   for many cancers,  the biologic mechanisms underlying this relationship are also not well understood. Furthermore, the results from a systematic literature review by Himbert et al of human clinical studies exploring the crosstalk between adipose tissue and cancer-prone cells may help researchers gain a better understanding of the biologic mechanisms linking obesity to cancer. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3742583/

Overweight and obesity are health problems of epidemic proportions, increasing the risk not only of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus but also of various types of cancer. Obesity is strongly associated with changes in the physiological function of adipose tissue, leading to insulin resistance,  chronic inflammation,  and also altered the secretion of adipokines.

Several of the factors, such as insulin resistance, increased levels of leptin, plasminogen activator inhibitor-1, and endogenous sex steroids, decreased levels of adiponectin, and chronic inflammation, are involved in carcinogenesis and cancer progression.

This article reviews these mechanisms, focusing also on adipose tissue dysfunction as a unifying causal factor. Although understanding the link between obesity and cancer might provide therapeutic targets, preventing overweight and obesity still remains number one priority.

Findings from the clinical studies reviewed have found that adipose stromal cells can infiltrate cancer lesions and promote tumor growth. In addition, visceral white adipose tissue is more bioenergetically active and is associated with a more procancer secretome than subcutaneous adipose tissue. Efforts to “eavesdrop” and ultimately interfere with cancer-enhancing crosstalk between adipose tissue and carcinomas may lead to new targets and strategies for decreasing the burden of obesity-related cancers, according to the study. The study was published in Cancer Prevention Research.

Study Methodology
The researchers conducted a systematic literature search in PubMed/Medline covering publications from January 1946 to March 2017 to identify study literature characterizing crosstalk between adipose tissue and carcinomas. They ultimately found twenty primary research publications of human clinical studies directly relevant. . .in describing adipose tissue/tumor interactions. The different cancer types studied included breast, colorectal, esophageal, endometrial, prostate, and ear/nose/throat.

Study Findings
The researchers found that their analysis of the clinical studies reinforce the preclinical      data and suggest organ – dependent crosstalk between adipose tissue and carcinomas via vascular endothelial growth factor, interleukein-6, tumor necrosis factor alpha, and other mechanisms. Moreover, they found that visceral white adipose tissue plays a more central role, as it is more bioenergetically active and is associated with a more procancer secretome than subcutaneous adipose tissue.

The problem is: inflammation can damage the adipostat, making it unable to receive signals from our metabolic messengers.Inflammation in the brain can be triggered by stress, toxins and sugary carbs that abound in the Standard American Diet. . Making       the adipostat unable to hear the metabolic messages unable hear.

When this communication breaks down, the brain defaults into crisis mode. And because the brain’s job is to protect you by stocking up om fuel reserves in case of emergency, crisis mode means fat-storage mode.  So basically,  your brain is telling your hungry all the time even though you’re not.  What’s more, we are also told to slash excess pounds by slashing carbs, but by doing so weight loss becomes almost impossible. Dr. Gottfried points out, a multi enter study published in JAMA found that extreme card restriction. Lowered these participants thyroid hormone levels 22% within 4 weeks while upping the levels of the fat storing stress hormone cortisol by 21%.

By restricting the beneficial “complex carbohydrates” to much it deprives the brain and      body of the essential vitamins,  minerals and compounds needed to operate at their peak.
Fortunately, Dr. Gottfried has discovered the carbohydrate combination that stems brain inflammation  and reboots your metabolic thermostat.  Plant based carbs are also rich in nutrients that defend the hypothalamus against inflammatory damage: plus supply ample prebiotic fiber, which feeds friendly flora in the gut.

This is crucial since good gut bacteria helps restore the adipostat’s sensitivity to insulin,    so the body can produce less of the fat-storage hormone.  Also,  the healthy protein and friendly good “omega” fat  that round out her formula rebalance hunger hormones and dial down appetite while boosting levels of fat burning hormones by 32%.

Chronic inflammation,  not only,  causes brain fog,  depression and anxiety,  but also, diseases like Alzheimer’s, Cancer and heart disease. What’s also exciting is people that follow this plan report improvements in energy levels, mental clarity and mood swings.

The Deadly Cycle: Inflammation & Cancer!!!

When you have chronic inflammation, the inflammatory process may begin even if       there is no injury, and it does not end when it should. Why inflammation continues is      not always known. Chronic inflammation may be caused by infections. . .that don’t go away, abnormal immune reactions to normal tissues, or conditions such as obesity.

Over time, chronic inflammation can cause DNA damage and lead to cancer.

For example, people with chronic inflammatory bowel diseases, such as ulcerative       colitis and Crohn disease, have an increased risk of colon cancer. Also the functional relationship between inflammation and cancer is not new.  In 1863, Rudolf Virchow hypothesized the origin of cancer was at sites of chronic inflammation, in part based        on his hypothesis:  that some classes of irritants,  together with the tissue injury and ensuing inflammation they cause, enhance cell proliferation. Although it is now clear     that proliferation of cells alone does not cause cancer,  sustained cell proliferation in        an environment rich in inflammatory growth factor cells,  activated stroma  &  DNA-damage-promoting agents, certainly potentiates and/or promotes neoplastic risk.

During tissue injury associated with wounding, cell proliferation is enhanced while          the tissue regenerates; proliferation and inflammation subside after the assaulting      agent is removed or the repair is completed. In contrast, proliferating cells sustain          DNA damage and/or mutagenic assault (for example, initiated cells) also continue             to proliferate  micro-environments rich in inflammatory cells and growth/survival     factors that support their growth.

How Is balance Working Out For You!!!

In a sense, tumors act as wounds that fails to heal.
Today, the causal relationship between inflammation, innate immunity and cancer             is  more widely accepted; however, many of the molecular and cellular mechanisms mediating this relationship remain unresolved — these are the focus of this review. Furthermore, tumor cells also may usurp key mechanisms by which inflammation interfaces with cancers, to further their colonization of the host.

Although the acquired immune response to cancer is intimately related to the inflammatory response, this topic is beyond the scope of this article, but readers                are referred to several excellent reviews.  Wound healing versus invasive tumor         growth. a, Normal tissues have a highly organized and segregated architecture.

Epithelial cells sit atop a basement membrane separated from the vascularized          stromal (dermis) compartment.  Upon wounding or tissue assault,  platelets are        activated and form a haemostatic plug  where they release vasoactive mediators                that regulate vascular permeability,  influx of serum fibrinogen,  and  formation                    of the fibrin clot. Chemotactic factors such as transforming growth factor-β and       platelet-derived growth factor, derived from activated platelets  &  also initiated       granulation tissue formation, activation of fibroblasts,  induction and activation                 of proteolytic enzymes necessary for remodeling of the extracellular matrix (for      example, matrix metalloproteinases and urokinase-type plasminogen activator).

In combination, granulocytes, monocytes and fibroblasts are recruited, the venous network restored,  and re-epithelialization across the wound occurs. Epithelial and  stromal cell types engage in a reciprocal signaling dialogue to also facilitate healing.             Once the wound is healed, the reciprocal signaling subsides.  Invasive carcinomas             are less organized.

Neoplasia-associated angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis produces a chaotic vascular organization of  blood vessels  and  lymphatics where neoplastic cells interact with other    cell types (mesenchymal, haematopoietic and lymphoid)  and a remodelled extracellular matrix. Although the vascular network isn’t disrupted in the same way during neoplastic progression as it is during wounding, many reciprocal interactions occur in parallel.

Peyton Rous was first to recognize that cancers develop from “subthreshold neoplastic states” caused by viral or chemical carcinogens  induce somatic changes.  These states, now known as ‘initiation’,  involve DNA alterations,  are irreversible and can persist in otherwise normal tissue indefinitely until  occurrence of  a second type of stimulation   (now referred to as ‘promotion’). Promotion can result from exposure of initiated cells      to chemical irritants,  such as phorbol esters,  factors released at the site of wounding, partial organ resection, hormones or chronic irritation and inflammation (Fig.1)

Functionally, many promoters, whether directly or indirectly, induce cell proliferation, recruit inflammatory cells,  increase production of reactive oxygen species that lead to oxidative DNA damage, and reduce DNA repair. Subversion of cell death and/or repair programmes occurs  in chronically inflamed tissues,  thus resulting in DNA replication    and proliferation of cells – that have lost normal growth control. Normal inflammation       is self-limiting, because the production of anti-inflammatory cytokines follows the pro-inflammatory cytokines closely (Fig. 2).

Source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2803035/

However, chronic inflammation seems to be due to persistence of the initiating factors or  a failure of mechanisms required for resolving the inflammatory response. Why does the inflammatory response to tumors persist?
