Believe in a Cure

When I was diagnosed  with breast cancer IDC (E+/P-, HER2+) stage 2a, I went with surgery, chemo, targeted therapy and Arimidex. The targeted therapy of Herceptin has been a life saver for those of us who are HER2+. I am grateful for medical research that made these good options for me. Was chemo fun,  no,  not at all.  I have long term effects such as neuropathy, from the chemo.   ~Jouska                                                      But I am here, living my life as I want. I had a friend who was diagnosed less than two years ago with Triple Negative breast cancer.  She chose a “natural” approach of detox, supplements, herbs etc, refused chemo which is always indicated with TN and she died    in March. She left behind a beautiful 6 year old daughter and a loving husband.

They are recovering and moving on with life slowly but surely.                                                    There are many things that can take us from this world. But breast cancer doesn’t             have to be one of them. Early diagnosis, proper medical treatment and our prognosis     can be very good. Talk to your oncologist, make sure he/she and you are on the same  page. My oncologist was also a doctor of osteopathy and very supportive of things like massage, acupuncture, exercise and other things that helped with the effects of chemo.       I think post chemo a more plant based diet can be helpful, but during chemo, you need     all the protein and calories you can get.  I think you can do both,  with a medical-based  that is the standard of care for your particular cancer and a wholistic approach towards overall wellness. Wishing you the very best.
Be Brave and take advantage of every kind of support to boost your physical, mental,      and emotional well-being. Although It isn’t fun and sometimes you will cry, you will discover a lot of good things about yourself and others as you travel this path.
Nothing wrong with natural remedies–iF they are “integrative” or “complementary” (supplementing state-of-the-art/standard-of-care conventional therapies without conflicting with the latter) rather than “alternative.” Those who claimed they “beat”  cancer by going fully-alternative either were misdiagnosed, had exceptionally strong immune systems (“freak-of-nature,” not the kind of strength attainable by lifestyle changes) or were among the very few who had inexplicable spontaneous remissions.      The latter are unpredictable and not necessarily the result of prayer or strong faith    (which are coincidental, not causational).

Have a good heart-to-heart with your entire cancer team: surgeon(s), medical oncologist, radiation oncologist, and primary care doc. Explain what in your life is most important to you–both now and on your bucket list. So are you saying that some “natural bio-remedies” are not so good to take?  They can be harmful too?  So many sites on the internet claim to heal people with cancer by detoxing, using supplements, natural herbs, and also bunch of supplements that I have never heard of,  however,  they seem natural and less harmful to the body than chemo. I want to build my body up not take something that weakens it.         If you take chemo to kill the cancer cells and it kills the good cells ~ than how can it be helpful? I don’t understand if it makes you sick and weaker, your resistance is lowered  and your immune system becomes weaker.

Look: it’s a mistake to call alternatives like herbs, “detoxes.”                                                      (a scam if ever there was one), “cleanses,” fruits & vegetables, supplements and herbs “remedies.” Something is a “remedy” only if it is proven to work. Nothing wrong with getting as much fresh or frozen produce into your diet as possible, especially if it leaves you no room for refined and processed junk foods.

Watch out for those herb side effects & supplements, though.                                                       Not all herbs are harmless (well, maybe if you EAT and fresh ones like parsley, basil, mint, thyme, rosemary, etc. or cook with culinary herbs) — those like kratom & kava kava can be contaminated or poisonous; others like vinpocetine & ginkgo biloba can increase bleeding, especially if you must be on aspirin therapy; Valerian, St. John’s Wort, Devil’s Claw, Black Cohosh, Red Clover and Lavender have an estrogenic effect–not a great idea if your cancer is estrogen-receptor positive and you must know this going into it.

Supplements are a minefield–even worthwhile vitamins & minerals are also totally unregulated as to safety & purity, much less effectiveness; the Fed. gov’t considers them “foods,” not the quasi-drugs they are. (Why? Because the supplement manufacturers are major campaign donors to a certain political party currently in control of our gov’t).    Some will clash with your conventional medicines, others, like antioxidant supplements, must be avoided during chemo & radiation–yes, they protect cells against damage, but cell damage is the whole point of chemotherapy & radiation:  you WANT to damage & destroy cancer cells. However, just like chemotherapy can’t kill. . . . only the cancer cells and leave healthy rapidly-dividing cells alone, antioxidants can’t protect only non-cancerous cells! (It’s okay to eat reasonable amounts of antioxidant foods–like those fruits & berries, and seasoning with turmeric but stay away from supplements).

A word about “detoxes:” bull$#*t!                                                                                                     Your body gets rid of “toxins” via perspiration & excretion (solid & liquid). Not everything that harms the body is a “toxin,”  and certainly enemas,  cleanses,  chelation (except under strict medical supervision, and only for heavy metals) will not “detox you.”  However, If you are addicted to alcohol or recreational drugs, yes, “detoxing” is necessary. But that has utterly nothing to do with cancer!
Our instincts often tell us that because our bodies are under attack (by our own cells),     we will want to prevent any further harm or pain, however temporary it may be–and too many people think that the way to do that — is to avoid any remedies that may be painful, immunosuppressive, appearance-altering, etc. and instead seek help from Mother Nature. But Mother Nature is part of science–as are climate and disease.

We all want hope. However, some think that hope can come only from prayer and natural substances.

There’s an old joke:

A huge catastrophic storm approaches a town. The mayor, governor, and weather reporters all urge folks to evacuate pronto. But one guy thinks, “No worries–God will provide.” The storm comes, and soon the street on which he lives starts flooding, up to    his doorstep, and he can no longer get away using his car.                                                   Along comes a good Samaritan with a heavy-duty SUV, and offers to take him to high    and dry ground. “Thanks, but no thanks–I trust in the Lord to provide.” When The waters reach halfway up the first floor, and along comes a first responder with a boat. “Climb in,” the responder says,  “I’ll take you to safety.”  The homeowner says,  “I appreciate that, but  I know God will save me.” The waters rise higher–he climbs first up to his attic and then, reluctantly, on to his roof.                                                                                                              Soon, he hears a loud whirlwind,  looks up and sees a rescue helicopter,  with a basket slowly being lowered. He waves it away, saying “I survived this long, and I know God will provide.” Eventually, his house is engulfed and the floodwaters are moving so fast that he can’t stay afloat and is swept away to his death.

He finds himself at the Pearly Gates, and complains to St. Peter, “I don’t know why I’m here. I was a man of faith all my life, taught that the Lord always provides. He abandoned me.” Suddenly, from up above comes a deep, booming voice: “Who do you think sent you the people with the bulletins, SUV, boat and helicopter?!”

Think of chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, targeted therapy, immunotherapy and all    that other modern medicine has to offer as bulletins, SUVs, boats, and rescue helicopters.
Alternative medicine providers often prescribe supplements  which are not good for those of us with ER/PR+ cancers. I wish I had cleared everything with my oncologist and did my research before buying all those supplements because I ended up throwing away hundreds of dollars of supplements.  Some are what my oncologist knew about and advised strongly against them and some I researched myself and found that they were estrogenic. That said, food is very strong medicine.  I read a book called:  the Anti-cancer Diet and follow it fairly closely. I do take some vitamins and supplements that have been okayed by my oncologist.

I was very scared at first and thought there would never be a day when I would be at peace. I am three years out  from diagnosis and now have times  when I don’t think about cancer.  I have made sure that I live life to the fullest and have plans in the works to look forward to at all times.  Sometimes it is something little like dinner with a friend and sometimes it is a trip. I look ahead and find activities I want to experience and make future plans. I even did that during chemotherapy and radiation.

One might believe “cancer” does not “thrive on sugar.” ALL cells need glucose, and ALL food we eat other than fat or pure insoluble fiber is converted by the pancreas to glucose. The sugar in the PET scan dye is mixed  with a purple dye for visual contrast  (PET scans are color) and a radioisotope that will glow when exposed to radiation.  Yes, cancer cells  do absorb glucose more readily but they don’t  “thrive”  on it any more than do any other body cells.

The reason refined sugars  &  starches are bad for cancer patients (except in moderation)   is that they cause inflammation. For that reason alone, they’re not great for anyone, cancer or not.

May I suggest that you read (either borrow, buy, or download) one or both of these books:   “Dr. Susan Love’s Breast Book”  (the breast cancer bible, updated almost annually, written by the pioneer of late-20th-century breast cancer surgery); and another fine book Dr. Elisa Port’s “The New Generation Breast Cancer Book.” (She’s also the surgeon who operated on Food Network’s–and First Lady of NY State–Sandra Lee).  A great site for reference — and support  &  knowledge from those of us worldwide.  Who have had many different kinds of breast cancers & treatments–is Breastcancer.org, founded & headed by Dr. Marisa Weiss, a surgical oncologist.

And also never, ever be afraid to ask questions from those on your care team.                    Ask if your hospital, breast center or cancer center can assign you a “nurse navigator” who will literally guide you through this confusing and stressful journey.  It will be 4 years next month that I completed my treatments, and today I feel that I did make the right decision. My advice to you would be to research diet and nutrition that are helpful before,  during & after chemo.  Some hospitals offer nutrition counseling  or  classes for cancer patients that you should take advantage of.  And, always stay positive,  try to keep your sense of humor on difficult days, and make sure you’re comfortable with your doctors.
Check with your hospital (or the Web) to find out if there is a “cancer wellness center” or and type in your State the equivalent in your area–they give not only nutrition advice but often services such as acupuncture & massage and classes such as yoga, tai chi/qi gong, and guided meditation  to help you cope and get back to feeling better.

Remember: when it comes to your health (especially cancer)…there’s no such thing as a “stupid question.”  What Next – Read More  🙂

In this Facebook Live episode, Carrie Crary is Joined by Jay Rothman as she shares h0w  her quality of life has been impacted by breast cancer and the choices she makes today to be her own advocate for healing from the diagnosis/prognosis. She also explains her back story of what lead to the diagnosis  and choices she continues to make to not only survive but also THRIVE!

5G: The Dominoes Are Starting To Fall

Life, Death and all between!
5G Gigantic health hazard – Dr Barrie Trower & Sir Julian Rose

This is one of the most drastic and important warnings that the human race has ever been given in its entire history. GO to the bottom of this blog watch the video, where Dr. Barry Trower describes how he told a lawyer representing the telecoms industry,  who told him he was about to lose a case: OK, if I lose, however, I’ll be able to tell people in the afterlife,   “I tried, and I lost.” What will you tell people in the afterlife, to justify “having caused this genocide” watch at [1:34:05] mark.  What will you say about this in the aftermath.

I draw attention to the fact Dr. Trower specifically uses and repeats the word “genocide”. This microwaving of the entire planetary population is the greatest genocide of the human race in its entire existence, no question about this. At least 150 million people will become ill or die, if just 3% of the population is affected, as has been shown in many studies.

This is not to mention the permanent genetic damage being done to the human species,    or the vast pandemic of birth deformities that Mr. Trower has also predicted.  A study in the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte also found literally thousands of excess cancer deaths above the baseline near masts, increasing steadily in rate the closer people lived to masts.

These thousands of deaths cannot be hidden for ever, as Dr. Trower states.                      What we do with the people who knowingly caused these deaths is another issue.  Stopping 5G is the single most important issue on this planet, no question.                          5G spells the end of the human race as we know it. Have no doubt about this.                          Dr. Trower is a Microwave weapons expert and world renowned physicist.                           He has forgotten more than any of us will ever know about EMF, Microwave etc.               He is the worlds leading expert on this subject. It is a long video, but could change        your perception on the subject, you will certainly be educated by watching it.

To shorten things in a summary, He says that the frequencies emitted will cause worldwide ecological disaster, and only 1 in 8 children will be born healthy (or be       carried full term.)  He notes that depending on the frequencies and pulses, cancers,         and neurological and physiological processes will be disturbed greatly. Some of the frequencies will cause such psychological disturbances that suicide will become widespread and very common.

It is being driven by industry and forced out into nurseries/ schools/ houses.                         It is dangerous stuff and people are mostly in the dark about it.
And, the higher frequencies of 5G doesn’t penetrate rain very well.                                         So, in the Pacific NW they’re going to have to put a micro cell on every streetlight to       have a working system. Wonderful. All of our utilities are underground and we don’t    have any street lights. Every home has a post light in the lawn by the driveway so                   I use that to light the street somewhat. Most of my neighbors use the post light to           light the street too.
He notes that Fiber optic can be used to do the same thing and cell phones can still            be cell phones for phone calls, and we can avoid the dangerous exposures. Let’s face it,    our government doesn’t have a good track record of keeping us safe from harmful stuff. Pesticides, herbicides, asbestos, radioactive materials, flame retardants, tobacco products, creosote, lead, PCBs, heavy metals, BPA, teflon, saccharin, styrofoam cups, phthalates, the list goes on and on. Why would anyone think that they’re on top of it with RF energy? As someone who used to work with high levels of RF,  I was quite surprised and disappointed to learn that the maximum exposure level of 5mW/sq cm that we were using. . . . is twice the level allowed for civilians.

The Government doesn’t care about it’s own workers, why would you think they care   about you? All cell phone and ham radio manuals, etc. warn not to use them excessively very near to your body. Probably good advice. Use the speaker, Bluetooth, ear phones, etc.  A hand held ham radio can put out 5 watts of power. Is that a lot? It’s the same as an        old incandescent Christmas light bulb. Would you hold that 5 W bulb next to your ear?   Not for long. Probably be best to maintain some distance from the cell or ham radio.

The lower power output of a cordless phone should be less damaging – I hope.

The fifth generation of wireless internet would require more than 400,000 “small-cell” antennas to be placed fairly close together, a situation that officials in Portland, Oregon, have called an eyesore. Ted Wheeler, mayor of Portland, Oregon, was the first to legally challenge the new rules.  Portland,  which charges as much as $3,000 in annual fees on   cell towers is angry,  not only,  over lost potential revenue, but also, because he says the small cells will be eyesores,  especially in historic neighborhoods.  The 5G will pay only $100 to cities, per antenna – as so many more are needed. Turn it all off, the whole city, LTE, Wifi, during the next protest and see what happens.
So is everyone pumped about their deployment of 5G and the millimeter waves that         kill insects (bees)?  Anyone thrilled about these carcinogenic  “smart meters”  that pulse   us with EMF radiation constantly 24/7? Would you consider cell phones safe? I don’t.        The cell phone industry rigs all the tests, lots of money tied up in those cell towers.

There’s lots of people dropping like flies from cancer and getting EHS (Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity aka Electro Sensitivity).  Cell phones,  laptops,  Wi-Fi they’re designed     to attack the reproductive organs. So no I don’t consider them safe.
When the bees are gone within five years we’re next. There’s more than enough land       and resources on this water planet to feed and water everyone.  The myth that there’s too many people is a lie.  Have you heard what 5G does to cattle,  the trees or that fact the fish that feed off the trees in the food web? And the Oceans and the sea creatures that are in it? EMF radiation ain’t good for you — Plausible deniability. 5G leads  to 6G leads to 7G leads to 8G. This Frog in the boiling pot of water in Biblical Proportion stuff.  Sure,  some may survive and live a painful existence but is that the kind of life you want?
I try not reference YouTube as my main source for scientific fact.

Search Google Scholar for actual facts.
Our Natural Body system is 2.4Ghz… Same as a Microwave oven. EMF can alter things at  a cellular level. You wouldn’t want a wireless router on your pillow at night. Many folks are sensitive to EMF,  and with it becoming more of an exposure with technology,  bubblegum happens. Some of this can be minor (like headaches) or not so minor (heart attacks.)    There is a point at which the risks exceed the benefits of technology, and it may be that       it is fast approaching.

Do a inter-web search on “5G”. Never mind I did it for you. It doesn’t take long for the questions to start popping up.  Also take note  that the FCC approved 20,000 satellites       for 5G. Think about it. The worst part, is that everybody will have to buy new I-phones.    As 5G will actually caused the twin towers to collapse again using reverse time travel.

Beating the Odds | Life After Cancer

If I had to choose again, I’ll still choose to pass a road less travelled. ~ Cielo 🙂

Cielo Superticioso is a cancer blogger and advocate. She was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Sarcoma. She started a cancer blog called The Cancer Voice where she aims to make the cancer voice heard in Asia,  especially in Vietnam — and to strengthen the education of cancer. Cielo is also a community organizer for Filipinos in Vietnam Support Group where she focuses on building social organizations, expanding their membership base and raising questions or alternatives.  While also developing sound — organizing strategies,  recruiting leadership, assisting with fundraising, running member meetings, and facilitating training sessions. Prior to that she was teacher for 10 years.

Cielo shares what her life was like when she first heard she was diagnosed with a             rare cancer and how she is able to come out of it to be the cancer warrior that she is    today.  She shares her tips that you can use in your own journey to self confidence.

“I Talk About My Cancer To Help You Understand, Not To Seek Pity”
The reason why I write, why I share my story with you, what my life is now                      after cancer,  is to connect with you.
Hi, I’m Cielo! I fought cancer. That’s my superpower! What’s yours?
Actually, I really don’t want to keep talking about cancer like I used to do.                     When I post something about cancer awareness, it doesn’t mean I need your sympathy.
Yes, I still talk about my cancer because this is my life now.  I still talk to those who are open to listening.  I still talk about it,  but it’s not as if my time  is only spent on talking about my fight with cancer.

‘I Never Allow My Past Define My Future’
Like you I am living in the present moment. Like you, I’d move on. I’ve moved forward, but it is not learned in a day. It is learned for months. It’s like moving on from someone who broke your heart, but of course, you can still talk about that person, am I right?
No, it doesn’t hurt my feelings if you are not interested to hear about cancer awareness     or myself talking about my cancer journey. The truth is, you don’t want to hear any cancer stories because you are afraid, you are annoyed, and the truth is, I don’t care if you won’t listen.
The reason why I write, why I share my story with you, what my life is now after cancer,     is to connect with you. I don’t want you to feel sad or sorry for me. No, never.            Instead, I want us to talk the same language. Yes, it’s difficult to be in cancer patients         or survivors’ shoes. It’s not easy to be aware and sensitive to our feelings in order to help or comfort us. But, you can listen to us. I know there is no right word that you can say to someone who has cancer.  Your sincerity matters even when there are no words you can utter. You can also control your judgment towards us, that way you could have a deeper understanding of our journey.
No one is invincible. I could never wish that cancer would happen to you.                               I share because I want everyone to be aware of their health, to get a checkup.
Think of the people you love and treasure them. Cancer could be someone’s end of life          or beginning of a new life. It could be a warning, trial, and a lesson not only to us, who   had cancer but for everyone. We all die one day, but don’t let cancer steal your joy and    kill you.
Everything happens during the fight against cancer, and it has changed me big time.         As a survivor, I embrace a new life beyond the illness. I am sharing with you my journey compassionately.

Cielo Superticioso, is the author of The Cancer Voice Asia created August 2017.                 She started The Cancer Voice after she successfully beat cancer in Saigon. She is extremely committed, dedciated and determined to continue the campaign in order to strengthen the cancer awareness because no one should fight cancer alone.

She started blogging in August 2017 where the only desire is to share her cancer experiences until she becomes more committed and determined to start a campaign           to strengthen the cancer awareness.                                                                                              This campaign aims to make the cancer voice heard in Asia, especially in Vietnam.          And so it continues, The Cancer Voice officially launched in 2018, reaching out to Vietnamese to strengthen their education of cancer.

I am glad to share again my story as a Leiomyosarcoma survivor. If you see me as a strong woman today, I was the opposite 3 years ago  and even more years before I was diagnosed with cancer. I may say that I used to be a timid girl, grew up as a lady with low self-esteem and developed into more anxious person.  But today,  I love being the strong me that I am today. I can hold my head up high and confidently say. “I am proud of how far I’ve come.”

Here is another fact which is not a secret to many of us, most people see what’s on the outside. Some of them are amazed at how resilient I am (even myself is amazed how could I do that even until today).  But, there are still some days that I don’t feel great,  even after cancer. It was 2nd February 2016 when I underwent cancer surgery at Tan Hung Hospital, District 4, HCMC in Veitnam. I was 29 years old, on March 19, I was turning 30.                    However,  before I can celebrate my birthday,  my doctor Tung Luong Minh, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, declared my final biopsy was Leiomyosarcoma, Grade 2, tumor size was 2.607 cm and I was in need — to have 30 sessions of  immediate radiation therapy to complete my treatment in the Philippines.
I was in total shock and speechless when the doctor delivered the bad news to me.               As my doctor continued to explain to me that my cancer is a rare disease that no one knows much about it even its causes. I never heard the word sarcoma in my entire life.       I was all alone when I visited my doctor  and left his clinic sobbing quietly.  Due to too  expenses I spent during my surgery, I decided to go back home to the Philippines.           But before I was able to get my treatment, I went to Hong Kong for 2 weeks.
My doctor was anxious because I was supposed to prioritize my treatment than travelling. I am lucky that my doctor allowed me but reminded me not to delay my radiation therapy. He was too kind to remind me even  I was in Hong Kong for the Holidays — trying to find myself and peace of mind in another foreign country. I lived my days as if I had no cancer ever. It was great! It was the first official execution of living life to the fullest and in the present moment.

“Each time we face our fear, we gain strength, courage,                                                                                                                        & confidence in the doing.”   ~Theodore Roosevelt

How My Cancer Change Me?
I’ve been in remission for 3 years and 4 months. My radiation therapy ended last 10th June 2016. I could never be happier when I finally finished my treatment. I was so ready   to continue my life, being alive and healthy again. But what happened after my treatment was the opposite in how I used to daydream.  My sudden excitement died down.                    I went back to Ho Chi Minh empty and clueless. I stayed away from the friends I used to chat, hang out and see. I never told anyone that I was back home. I was treating my wound due to too much radiation that burnt my skin after my cancer treatment. I was anxious and started to feel depressed without knowing that I was suffering PTSD.                                        It had taken me 5 months to pass through this stage, however,  in these months of feeling  in a dark isolated world, I was struggling to leave it. I was crying uncontrollably and I was being misunderstood by few people why I was being too emotional without any reason at all.
In fact, I didn’t understand myself as well. It just made me feel so guilty after some people tried to pull their selves away from me or cut me out from their life. And then I thought,      that I had been battling within myself. Feeling that I needed to win against these dark thoughts and conflicting emotions and found the Art of the Conversation.

Meditation helped me to relax my anxious mind and get out through these. It took time   for me to be able  to meditate effectively.  Again,  another struggle how could I make this work for me. With patience, consistency and persistence – I was able to make meditation as a habit that gradually took me out from that dark and isolated space that I was within. Until today, meditation has contributed into my daily hustle.  Although people see me as strong and full of energy – but I am not that all the time.

Also I have learned two important tips:

1. Eliminate toxic people and relationships.
Just like having a garden full of flowers blooming, you have to weed out all the unnecessary weeds that will most likely stop the other plants from growing healthily       and beautifully.
During the time I was fighting for my own life, I was able to learn to put myself first.        It’s the only choice I have and it was the choice that formed me into what I am now.       Not only that, I was able to learn how to put out negative people that have nothing to do but only give negative remarks that can sting my emotions especially. And also, learning  to eliminate toxic people and relationships,  I was able to learn how to say  “no”  easily without having a hard time to say that two-letter word.

2. I put myself first.
Since the time I found out that I had cancer, I played the “cancer card”. and will never allow cancer to control my life.  After I claim to myself, “Okay, I have cancer, so what?”       If I die, that is maybe where my role in life will end.  Claiming my cancer means, I lived   my life. I write a journal, to start with. I follow my goals, both short-term and long-term ones. In the end, what did I lose? Nothing. What did I gain? Resilience, perseverance, quality friends and a new life after cancer. #9. Cielo Superticioso @the.cancer.voice

There is always hope no matter how bleak the present moment:
January 2016, Cielo was diagnosed with soft tissue tumor.
February 2016, she had undergone her surgical removal in one of the hospitals in              Ho Chi Minh. After the surgery, a 2nd biopsy was done to see the actual tumor taken   from her body until the doctor told her, “I’m sorry, you have cancer.”                                    It’s Leiyomyosarcoma, a new word for her and it’s not a common name for cancer.           The fact is, sarcoma is indeed rare cancer.
March 2016, she continued her plan to visit Hong Kong despite the fear she cannot           do it anymore.
April to June 2016, she went back to the Philippines for her treatment:                                    6 sessions of acupuncture and 35 days of radiation therapy.
After these extreme highs and lows within this year, I shut the world out so I could open up to myself and deal with my thoughts. I disconnects myself from friends and the rest of the people in my life.  So I could make a  genuine connection to myself and enjoy my own company.  I suddenly found myself taking great care of myself — emotionally,  mentally, physically and the foods she needs to eat or not anymore.
December 2016, I decided to host English clubs again; although the beginning is scary.        I did it to get on with my life. From that day forward, I started to learn who I really was and loved myself for it.
The Cancer Voice Asia started in August 2017 with my only desire to share my cancer experiences.  This campaign aims to make my cancer voice heard in Asia, especially in Vietnam.  And so it continues,  The Cancer Voice officially launched in 2018, reaching     out Vietnamese to strengthen the education of cancer.
The advocacy is to give HOPE to anyone who has cancer around the world and also            in Vietnam, whether it could be a child or an adult, by any means. If you see me as a  strong woman today, I was the opposite three years ago and even more years before             I was diagnosed with cancer. Being strong isn’t always that easy or fun; yet, a great    reward is waiting in the long run with a glass of red wine. Cheers!

The Secrets of Human Perception

Inspiration for this post:  Kατερίνα Αληθολατρεία 🙂

“Because Of” and/ or “Due To.”
A lot of people (both kids and adults) suffer at the judgmental hands of others.               They put themselves out there and try hard to be the best they can be, only to be     shunned, mocked, made fun of, and in extreme cases, bullied.
It hurts.
It can freeze you right in your tracks.
You begin to second-guess yourself. Your confidence fades. You feel bad about                who you are, and what your sharing with the world.
You feel like retreating into a hole.
“Maybe I’m a terrible person (or artist, painter, student, girl, singer) after all,”                  you say to yourself.
And then, the worst thing that could possibly happen, happens.
You quit. You quit trying. You quit being who you are. You think of how to fit in,                  or how to stay away from the world.
And in some cases, you plain just give up all together.
However, here’s the thing: There are going to be people in this world that don’t like you, for no other reason than “you’re not them.”
They won’t like you because of how you look. Or how you dress.
How you smile or don’t smile.
They’ll hate you for your voice. Or what you painted. Wrote. Sang. Created.
They’ll sneer at you and criticize you for your talent. Or lack of talent.                                  For your education or therefore lack of education.
For How much money you have. Or don’t have. Where you live.                                          What you like. Or don’t like.
The list is endless.
See, people that need to judge and criticize others have one thing in common: in order      to feel better about themselves, as they need to knock others that aren’t like them down.
By being different than them, you become a threat to their existence. You become a target.
See, if you’re different, then what they are can’t be “right” in their minds. There’s no live and let live. There’s no embracing differences. There’s no room for two rights in their minds, because THEY must be RIGHT in order to FEEL GOOD ABOUT THEMSELVES.
So their answer is to attack you, or make fun of you. If you don’t like potatoes, and they do, then you become a freak or weirdo. “Who doesn’t like potatoes?” they scream to the world.
They do this to prove their view is RIGHT, and you are WRONG. It’s the only way they can feel validated about who they are. It’s the only way they get to feel special and superior. Because somewhere, deep down, some internal programming keeps whispering to them, “If you’re not right, if you’re not better, if you’re not smarter, brighter, more beautiful, more intelligent–whatever their trigger is–then you amount to nothing.” They can’t bare the thought of being nothing, so they strive to put others down and prove to that unheard voice inside them once and for all: I’m better. I’m right. I’m important.
Which is sad, really. The thing to realize about these types of people is that they are emotional vampires, running through the world, taking what’s special about others and calling it ugly–knocking people down–down so that THEY FEEL OKAY to be themselves.
If you tell them this, they’ll tell you you’re full of it, or crazy, or deluded.
Let’s be clear, though: they don’t realize they are doing it.
Their hurt is so deep, their coping mechanisms have been in place for so long, they are clueless to the possibility that their actions are cruel. They will stand by their actions and call themselves critical, discerning, better, right, cool, or whatever. It doesn’t matter.
And they’ll keep on functioning like this. They’ll gather those around them that validate and agree with them–these people are prizes to them because they support their special view of themselves. So they’ll rally their minions, and they’ll all agree with one another, creating a mean little clique that feeds off each other’s negativity and cruelty. They have to. It’s how they survive. And it’s how they will undoubtedly function throughout their lives, unless they do some serious soul searching.
But here’s the thing they won’t ever allow themselves to see: everyone is special.

Everyone is unique.
Every single being ever made is a perfect and unique mix that will never be duplicated,   and that, in and of itself, makes everyone as unique as a snowflake and have you ever seen an ugly snowflake? Of course not! All snowflakes are beautiful. (Even the judgmental ones are beautiful behind all that pain and lashing out.)
So, here’s the trick.
When someone’s putting you down, when they mock you, scoff at your ideas, tear you apart–understand it’s because they are simply trying to make themselves better.            That old saying, “don’t take it personally” applies.
It’s NOT personal.
It’s NOT about you!
A judgmental person says more about themselves than they do about you. Whenever      you see a negative, judgmental, person, they’re waving a flag over their head that says,   “My pain is so deep that I need to hurt you and make fun of you in order to feel better about myself!”
Sometimes, regardless of knowing their subconscious motivations, it’s still hard to take. You’re doing your best. You’re being who you are. You’re simply expressing the specialness of who you were born to be.
But, instead of focusing on them (which is what they want – if you acknowledge them,    you make them feel even more superior! and bare your neck to their human emotional vampirism.)
Just ignore them and be you.
Bring your best to the world.
I know, this is easier said than done, but surround yourself with positive and supportive people who accept, and love you for who you are. Also find support groups of like-minded people with similar goals who are positive, caring and supportive. They are out there, even if you haven’t found them yet. After all, you exist, right? And chances are, there are more positive and supportive people around, but you have to look past the negative ones in order to see them.
The scoffers, the mockers, the judgmental ones? They’ll find someone else to make fun of–because it simply doesn’t matter if it’s you or someone else they tear down–if you move away, they’ll find another target and continue their behavior until they discover it doesn’t serve them any more–but you?
You have better things to do with your life than pay attention to mean, negative,                  or judgmental people.
You were born as a unique snowflake. You’re like no other person on this planet.             And it’s up to you to put your best self forward: sing, create, write, program, love, share, save, care, paint–simply said: express the absolute uniqueness of your own perfection.
And whenever someone judges you, or makes fun of you–remember–judgment is THEIR PAIN.                                                                                                                                           Understand that their judgments are about themselves. Not you. Feel compassion for  them and their negative focus on life (for this is truly a sad state of existence that leads      to more unhappiness), then move forward with your own perfection and be the person you’re meant to be.

Are We Better Than The Cave Man?

The main reason the dinosaurs and ultimately caveman caused their own distinction         is because the lack of understanding what tomorrow might bring. There is one thing you must understand about the so-called “cavemen”. They were nothing like the guys you see in the Geico commercials.  The species known as  AUSTRALOPITHECUS AFARENSIS is an extinct hominid which lived  (if you want an exact year, put BC after the 3.9 million.) They were the first “hominid”– or  man-like being– to walk on both feet,  and not live in trees. From analysis it has been thought that A. afarensis was ancestral to both the genus Australopithecus and the genus Homo, which includes the modern human species.     Homo sapiens. Australopithecus afarensis fossils have only been discovered within  eastern Africa–Ethiopia and Kenya to be exact.                                                                         This site—  shows a picture of one of mankind’s earliest ancestors. This one,  shows             a reconstruction of a female Australopithecus afarensis, going by what the fossils for “Lucy”–what the first discovered skeleton of this type was named–shows.
Australopithecus afarensis was a long-lived species that may have given rise to the    several lineages of early human that appeared in both eastern and southern Africa  between two and three million years ago.
It is a species that exhibits many cranial features which are reminiscent of our ape ancestry,  such as a forward protruding face,  cheek teeth parallel in rows to each other similar to an ape & a small brain case that averages only 430cc in size (not significantly larger than a modern chimpanzee).
Whether we like to admit it or not, just like every other animal species, mankind has  under gone evolution. To understand human evolution one must understand where humans fit in relation to other forms of life. Modern humans belong to the group of mammals known as Primates. This is the scientific category describing such diverse creatures as lemurs, lorises, tarsiers, the monkeys of the New World and Old World,      and also the apes.                                                                                                                                  As primates we all share many characteristics, such as overlapping fields of vision      caused by forward looking eyes (this allows for greater 3D vision), fine ability to grasp    and handle objects in our hands, with enlarged brains relative to body size.                         The evolution of the Primates started in the early part of the Eocene epoch (about 55 million years ago). By comparing humans – other living species, scientists have learned that humans  are most similar  to the large apes  of Africa and Asia.  Among all animals, humans and apes are the most alike in brain and body form, by having a complex social life, and in many other major and minor features, including the lack of a tail.             Comparisons of DNA shows our closest living relatives are the ape species of Africa, and most studies by geneticists show that chimpanzees and humans are more closely related  to each other — 98% genetic similarities — than either is to gorillas. However, it must be stressed that humans did NOT evolve from living chimpanzees.

Dear Friends of Natural Healing,

Dabbler in the Philosophy of Mind, “Intended evolution”– life perceives its environment and alters itself.
An amazing thing about perception versus reality: if you would step outside and look around and pick out the first five thing you see and realize the reason you picked them    out. Those same reason are the same impression you cast of yourself to other people        and that is how people view you.

You’ve probably heard a variation of this complaint hundreds of times.
“I feel so tired and ill. And nothing I do is making me better. What’s wrong with me?”
You have discovered the hard way that today´s popular medical approach on how to fix the body just isn´t working.
That’s because modern medicine gives you medicine to fix the issue. While limiting focus only on trying to correct the biology and biochemistry of your cells. They do NOTHING to address the most important force in your body… your body’s bioenergy field – the very source of your
health and vitality. And sadly as a result, so many people don’t get the long-term healing solutions they need.
Nature made the human body to be an incredibly efficient healing machine.
A healthy body easily neutralizes viruses as well as other invaders and environmental toxins.
So what’s happening that causes biology and biochemistry in the human body to break down?
As a natural healer, you already know that every living thing is surrounded by energy.
.And everyone generates their own “Body-Field” of energy.
But what you may not know is that researchers have discovered this Body-Field acts          as a control system managing the self-healing power of the body.

When energy is low, blocked or disrupted, biology and biochemistry can break down causing the body’s own self-healing power to lapse. That’s why the common complaint  you often hear from anyone with illness is “I’m tired”.
It’s the first sense most people have that something is wrong. Now what if you could go straight to the source to find out why they’re so tired?
What if you could look deep into your client’s energy fields for the true healing solution?
Well now you can.
And in just a moment I’m going to show you the amazing new scanning technology you can use to see your client’s entire human body field
–And it takes just seconds!

What are Brainwaves?
At the root of all our thoughts, emotions and behaviors is the communication between neurons within our brains. Brainwaves are produced by synchronized electrical pulses from masses of neurons communicating with each other.
Brainwaves are detected using sensors placed on the scalp. They are divided into bandwidths to describe their functions (below), but are best thought of as a continuous spectrum of consciousness; from slow, loud and functional – to fast, subtle, and complex.

It is a handy analogy to think of brainwaves as musical notes – the low frequency waves are like a deeply penetrating drum beat, while the higher frequency brainwaves are more like a subtle high pitched flute. Like a symphony, the higher and lower frequencies link and cohere with each other through harmonics.

Our brainwaves change according to what we’re doing and feeling. When slower brainwaves are dominant we can feel tired, slow, sluggish, or dreamy. The higher frequencies are dominant when we feel wired, or hyper-alert.

The descriptions that follow are only broad descriptions – in practice things are far more complex, and brainwaves reflect different aspects when they occur in different locations in the brain.

Brainwave speed is measured in Hertz (cycles per second) and they are divided into     ands delineating slow, moderate, and fast waves. The 5 brain frequencies have its own characteristics representing a specific level of brain activity – a state of consciousness:

“What we are today comes from our thoughts of yesterday, and our present thoughts    build our life of tomorrow. Our life is the creation of our mind.”

What is the difference between perception and consciousness?
“Perception” is a useful word. It’s also systematically misleading. This is because the term suggests that each of us enjoys direct access to our local surroundings, including one’s extra-cranial body. “Cross-modally matched real-time egocentric world-simulation” might be more apt; alas, it’s a mouthful. Either way, the external environment may be inferred; it’s not accessed. The mind-independent world powerfully selects the subjective content of one’s waking world-simulation; the mind-independent world doesn’t create it.
Perhaps compare immersive VR or dreaming, especially lucid dreaming. “Perceptual” experience during dreams is (almost) uncontroversial mind-dependent. While you are dreaming, virtual rocks and mountains, virtual chairs and tables, and your virtual body-image (etc.) are properties of your conscious mind – patterns of neuronal firings in the CNS. Dreams may be intensely lifelike. However, you can’t read the text of virtual books while dreaming, nor use a virtual calculator to multiply ten-digit numbers. If you want to check whether you might be dreaming, you can test.

What happens when you wake up?
Perceptual direct realists believe that, upon waking, the virtual sunsets and virtual symphonies and virtual body-images of their dream worlds are somehow replaced by direct access to their extra-cranial surroundings. By contrast, inferential realists about perception recognize that their “awakened” minds still consist, for the most part, of a world-simulation run by the CNS. Unlike dream world consciousness, your waking world-simulation typically consists of a tightly law-governed virtual universe that causally covaries with your local extra-cranial environment and extra-cranial body. Thus right now, you can read the text of virtual books, and use a virtual calculator to perform feats beyond the cognitive capacity of human toddlers and nonhuman animals. In other words, inferential realism is not a skeptical or solipsistic stance. Also, unlike life in your dreams, stepping in front of a virtual bus when you are awake will bring your world-simulation to a definitive end.

Understanding the Secrets of Human Perception
In common usage, “perception” has two distinct but similar meanings, according to mental context. At a basic level, it is about the experience of some sensation. At a more considered level, it is about interpretation of some abstract pattern. At least, that’s my perception.

Perceptions can be logically or evidentially wrong.                                                                These are called misperceptions. The physics of the basic level of perception – the one   that doesn’t require thought – is fairly well known and grasped (so far as we believe).
Consciousness by contrast is about a state of being generally aware and capable of reaction (which I suggest is how we detect it). For example, more than simply seeing something, but knowing that one is seeing something, and possibly interpreting that, and possibly engendering an action based on that.
I’m conscious that this definition is shifting the goalposts into a question of “awareness” (common parlance). It’s moot whether thought is involved in this process – again, as there are several kinds of “thought”.  Consciousness is still open question,  both philosophically and in natural sciences.

Does consciousness have an analogous possibility for error?                                      It can be altered, expanded, it can be added to, but consciousness cannot be inherently mistaken. Interpretation of sensory information in order to represent and understand     the presented information, or the environment. All perception involves signals that go through the nervous system, which in turn -can also- result from physical or chemical stimulation of the sensory system.

Consciousness is the state or quality of awareness, or, of being aware of an external object or something within oneself.
It has been defined variously in terms of sentience, awareness, qualia, subjectivity, the ability to experience or to feel, wakefulness, having a sense of selfhood or soul, the fact that there is something “that it is like” to “have” or “be” it, and the executive control system of the mind.
Link: Consciousness – Wikipedia
Creation and perception are far more intimately connected than any of our scientists realize.
It is quite true that our physical senses create the reality that they perceive. A tree is something far different to a microbe, a bird, an insect, and a man who stand beneath it.       I am not saying that the tree only appears to be different. It is different. We perceive its reality through one set of highly specialized senses.  This does not mean  that its reality exists in that form in any more basic way. . . . than it exists in the form perceived by the microbe, insect, or bird. We cannot perceive the quite valid reality  of  that  tree  in any context but our own. This applies to anything within the physical system that we know.

It is not that physical reality is false.
It is that the physical picture is simply one of an infinite number of ways of perceiving the various guises through which consciousness expresses itself. The physical senses force us to translate experience into physical perception. The inner senses open our range of perceptions, allow us to interpret experience in a far freer manner and to create new forms and new channels through which we, or any consciousness, can know itself.
The word “perception” is tricky, because different people use it to mean different things. For some people, perception is equivalent to conscious perception. For others, the concept of unconscious perception is meaningful.
Unconscious perception means that the brain is responding to a stimulus, but the person is unaware of their own neural response. We might go further, and say that unconscious perception can sometimes be inferred from a person’s behavior. A person might not be consciously aware that there is an insect on their hand, but they might still move their hand. It is entirely possible that many of our behavioral tics and quirks are ‘responses’ to unconsciously perceived stimuli.

Perception is “Consciousness-of”. Perception arises from signaling outside or inside the body. One can perceive cold water or a stomach ache. The brain is a perception organ. Like a sixth sense. It creates thoughts that are an amalgamation of, say, 1% of incoming signals every second. We express the brains perceptions with words. In other words, thoughts and words are an extension of our sensory (Perceptive) process.
Before “consciousness-of” comes consciousness. It cannot be described with words since it is not part of the perceptive process. So, analogies will have to do. For example, think of consciousness as being what is behind some avatar in a game. Another example: If we consider the body as a window into the earth, then consciousness is what’s looking through that window.
Not so much. Perception is taking some pieces of information primarily about your external environment (the internal one is important but not as much as the first one)      and summarize it for a cerebral ganglion/brain.

9 Benefits of Binaural Beats (Sleep, Focus, Meditation)

Consciousness is a meta-process (process built on other processes):
taking some pieces of information about lower processes (memory, reasoning, body, time) to build another process (the advantages of being conscious are easy to understand). The common point is lying. The system lies to itself because… it’s necessary and efficient.
Perception is rooted in faculties of recognition and reasoning that are based upon one of the five senses.
Consciousness is rooted the human faculty of self awareness of oneself and the environment around that is purely
based on one’s own experience. I’m not sure there is one… but I guess it all depends on defining “consciousness”. You might like this:

The earth’s natural electromagnetic field has a frequency measured as about 7.8 HZ or Hertz. This is the well known and documented Schumann Resonance measured daily in seismology laboratories. There is much concern now among scientists about the damage caused by civilization’s pollution of the earth. There is also monitoring of the normally occurring changes in the universe.
When people meditate and calm their brain chatter, their brains emit alpha frequencies   of 7 to 9 Hz.  The human brain in a relaxed state then has the same frequency of vibration as the energy field of the earth.  When humans live close to nature,  their energy fields are in synchrony with the energy field of the earth, so they experience balance & better health.
Before the invention of electricity, people lived in harmony with the earth and her         daily and seasonal cycles. Also Technology advances have added tremendous levels of electromagnetic energy millions of times higher than before … microwaves, x-rays, cell phones, television, radio frequencies, high tension wires, etc.

Dr. Robert Becker is a world renowned expert on electromagnetic fields (EMF).
He said, “At the present time, the greatest polluting element…in the earth’s environment     is the proliferation of EMF’s.”  In addition – the energy field of the earth interacts with the energy fields of other planets and constellations. Those changes then reflect on the energy fields of living bodies including humans. The energy fields… then as the interface connect all living matter … humans, plant, animal, and the earth.

Why Marianne Williamson Suggested ‘Prayer’                                                                Could Shift Hurricane Dorian – Published on September 6, 2019                         By Joe Martino

The Facts: Marianne Williamson suggested that ‘prayer’ could help shift hurricane    Dorian away from land. The mainstream media and popular influencers did not take      this very well, mainly because they didn’t understand it.

Reflect On: Are we really going to see deep truths and understandings about our reality come from the mainstream? Don’t we need conscious media to grow and become more popular so these conversations can be had on a larger scale to create change?

Marianne Williamson tweeted how prayer and the power of the mind could potentially shift hurricane Dorian away from land and the media went a little haywire.

Her exact tweet, before she deleted it, read as follows, “The Bahamas, Florida, Georgia  and the Carolinas…may all be in our prayers now. Millions of us seeing Dorian turn away from land is not a wacky idea; it is creative use of the power of the mind. Two minutes of prayer, visualization, meditation for those in the way of the storm.”

The truth is, at least in my research, is that Marianne was referring to the power of consciousness and human intention which is widely recognized in scientific study as something that has merit. The US public and mainstream culture is fairly ignorant to      this fact, but it doesn’t mean it’s not true.
My only feedback on how Williamson handled this was that perhaps this was a time to bring some of that research and evidence forward to enter into the public space as there     is plenty of credible peer-reviewed research to go off of.

In the segment below I discuss in detail:
– What happened when Marianne made the Tweet
– The negative feedback she received and who it was from
– The science behind what she is referring to
– How this is an important time to shift culture in the West to understand the true nature of our reality
– How mainstream media is just keeping people stuck in a false reality.
The Takeaway
It’s not a bad thing that the mainstream culture does not understand what Marianne was getting at, it just shows what is. What’s important however is that by having Marianne run she is creating conversations that CAN open people’s minds providing this more extended discussion happens. If we let the mainstream media control this conversation and ridicule her without providing a deeper analysis and the facts, then the culture will remain the same.
It is up to the collective to take responsibility for the state of our world and begin making conscious media the media of the future. Otherwise, the same narratives will be said over and over and over again.  You can watch the full segment

Schumann Resonance, Earth Breathing and Alpha Brainwaves
by Author: Nataša Pantovi

Surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers,
the believers and the thinkers, but most of all surround
yourself with those who see greatness within you,
even when you don’t see it yourself.

Schumann Resonance, Earth Breathing and Alpha Brainwaves
The earth is surrounded by air, and the ionosphere, and it is a wonderfully resonant system.  Any energy trapped within this earth–ionosphere cavity,  like lightning storms,   etc., will cause it to ring like a bell. This frequency was first time calculated and detected   by the German physicist Schumann in 1952.
He mathematically predicted that the most predominant standing wave resonates around 7.8 Hz. The amazing fact is that this frequency is identical to the Alfa spectrum of human brain waves.

When a person is meditating, praying or deeply relaxed his brain resonates within       Alpha and Theta rhythms range of 4-8 Hz. During this relaxed state of mind, waves of Alpha and Theta frequencies cascade across our entire brain, making it possible for the human being and our dear planet Earth to come into resonance. Was this the vibration that ancient sages of India called AUM (Om), the sacred sound of creation? Or perhaps  the original Sound of God that was mentioned in Bible? The scientists believe that these waves help regulate our bodies’ internal clock, improve sleep patterns, and hormonal secretion.

Schumann Resonance and Healers!!!

For a decade, Dr. Robert Beck from US researched the brain wave activity of healers     from various backgrounds. He examined Christian healers, shamans, dowsers, wicca practitioners, etc. and each exhibited ‘nearly identical EEG signatures’ during healing        of a 7.8-8Hz brainwave activity. It appears…. the basic earth’s frequency of 7.8Hz can enhance growth, improve immune responses & generally rebalance the human body.

Schumann Resonance and Learning
Various spiritual practices, paths and rituals are designed to allow the magical alfa meditative range to rain. Bells ringing, shamanic drumming, mantra chanting, trance dance, meditation,  healing dances, Christian singing, also bolsters the human brain’s ancient harmonization with the planetary field. Entrainment happens when vibrations      of one object cause the vibrations of another object to oscillate at the same rate.              Our brain waves are also prone to this synchronization, with external rhythms having          a direct effect on our mood, thoughts, emotions and re-action. Alpha waves (7-13 cycles per second)  are present during dreaming,  deep relaxation,  and meditation.  Scientists claim that in Alpha, we are more open to the wealth of creativity, regenerated, and we      feel happier and more in tune.                                                                                                       C.M. Anderson, M.D. (1998) of Harvard links a persistent internally generated sound        of  ‘humming insects’  that many people experience within Churches or Temples, during meditation or during deep intense experiences, to the Alpha 10Hz rhythm. Indian Yogis,  gurus & sages associate this sound to deep meditation and Samadhi experiences.

Just to give you an idea of other frequencies, Delta waves are the slowest but highest in amplitude (between 0-4 Hz) and Theta waves (4-7 cycles per second) are abundant in deep dreamless sleep and in the deep meditation.  Theta has also been identified as the gateway to learning and memory,  it-is-the-slow-activity  often connected with creativity, intuition, trance, and unconsciousness. It is the state of mind where we focus inwardly experiencing contemplation and silence.    Everything is Electricity!!!

What happens when your doctor says that your fine but you just don’t feel healthy.       How To Heal Your Mind And Body With Meditation When You’re Sick!!!

What can You do?
Functional illness is that grey area between optimal health and disease. Many people   have some signs  of functional illness  such as fatigue,  headaches,  indigestion,  back pain, allergies,  and other complaints  which interfere with their quality of life. The real problem arises when this imbalance is ignored and/or remains undetected for prolonged periods of time. This may then lead to a state of actual disease.  Disease implies pathological changes that can be evaluated by standard medical tests. If your medical doctor — has ruled out the presence of a disease causing your symptoms,  then you are left  with a functional problem which may not have a name. Early and proper response to an imbalance is essential for optimal health.

What is Electro-Dermal Screening?
In the late 1940s, Dr. Reinold Voll of Germany observed that traditional acupuncture points had a lower electrical resistance than other skin points. He developed a device to measure the skin’s resistance at these points  and found that each point had a standard measurement for all healthy people.  He concluded increases from this normal reading meant there was tissue inflammation associated with that point.                                       Decreases from the normal reading indicated there was fatigue or tissue degeneration associated with that point. This outstanding advancement in scientific technology is a modern form of biological-energetic science discovered by Dr. Voll  known as Electro-Dermal Screening.
Dr. Voll made an interesting discovery when evaluating a fellow doctor who had a      history of prostate problems.  Dr. Voll measured the doctor’s prostate point and found        it lower than the expected normal reading. Later that day, he measured the point again and found it to be in the normal range.                                                                                            At the second evaluation, the doctor had a natural remedy (homeopathic Echinacea) in   his pocket. Dr. Reinhard Voll discovered  abnormal readings could be corrected when a supplement was held by the person he was measuring. This allowed Dr. Voll not only to find what organs were energetically unhealthy, but also what natural supplement would correct the imbalance, e.g. homeopathic, botanical, nutritional, etc.

Why should I get an Electro-Dermal Screening?
Modern living exposes the body to a wide array of potential toxins in the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat. Although the body is designed to rid itself of any harmful elements, it cannot always do so with complete efficiency and toxins accumulate. Over time, toxins may also build up in concentrations  that are high enough to negatively impact health. Even the most careful and health-conscious among us are subjected to the rising level of environmental toxicity. Americans are experiencing a greater toxic burden than ever seen before, and it is nearly impossible for our natural body systems to handle this incoming flow.

Electro-Dermal Screening (EDS). Which screens the root cause and addresses balancing     physical and emotional aspects of health.  Professional strength homeopathics, radionics, herbals, flower remedies, enzymes, essential oils, vitamins and minerals that are uniquely selected by your body during an EDS session are used.  We all know. . .that each person is unique and to be able to customize healing protocols to the person will create outstanding results. The main objective of EDS is to eliminate imbalances in the body that is caused by modern living, lifestyle, diet and habits.

The (chronic) Lymic

What You Need to Know about Lyme Disease

Today, Lyme disease is the #1 infectious agent in the US. Two or three weeks of antibiotics is not sufficient for many, and up to 40% experience ongoing symptoms despite early treatment after a tick or spider bite. Late stage Lyme disease and co-infections are often misdiagnosed such as rheumatoid arthritis, IBS, fibromyalgia, bipolar disorder, Autism spectrum disorder, chronic fatigue syndrome, and other illnesses. Doctors in medical school are not trained in this arena, and the pharmaceutical industry sees no profit with generic drugs and are not interested in getting involved. Hence the is lack of funding for research (except for profit-driven vaccine manufacturers.)

The Lyme Labyrinth
Many are misdiagnosed with various diseases and idiopathic illnesses, yet they are actually infected with Lyme disease and co-infections. This is why I call it a ‘Lyme Labyrinth.’ Conventional medicine disputes chronic Lyme disease and many patients run from doctor to doctor trying to find out what is really going on, as they remain very sick and in chronic pain. No, it is not ‘in their head.’ In the Lyme-literate community, chronic Lyme is now referred to as PTLDS (post treatment Lyme disease syndrome) and persistent Lyme.
There tends to be more attention on Lyme disease in the spring and summer, however    the potential for infection exists all year round. It is important to note that not every tick  is infected, but currently roughly 50-60% in the northeast are.  Last year over 300 000 individuals were diagnosed with Lyme disease in the United States. It is our responsibility to take appropriate measures to prevent a tick bite I the first place, or when pregnant to be in treatment to avoid transmission to the fetus.
Did You Know That One Tick Bite Could Transmit As Many As 15 Infectious Agents?
Besides Lyme disease, two infections are prevalent in the northeast area: These include babesia, a parasitic infections that is related to malaria (it does not respond to Doxycycline), and ehrlichiosis. However, anaplasma, bartonella, mycoplasma, chlamydia pneumonia and the powassan virus are also co-infections that can occur with a tick bite.
Infections suppress the immune system and that allows for dormant viruses in the body    to activate, including, e.g. EBV (Epstein Barre virus) or herpes viruses. With a chronic condition multiple infections and viral activation must be considered. If you were infected with Lyme disease a while ago, did short term antibiotic treatment, and are still sick, do consider the impact of co-infections and viruses.

How Long Does It Take To Become Infected? Myths and Facts!
While doing research for her book Nourish, Thrive, Heal: A comprehensive and holistic guide to living with Lyme disease, I researched the transmission time of infections. It is widely believed that infection only occurs once the tick regurgitates contents from its gut where infectious agents, including Lyme spirochetes, reside. But in my research I found that infectious agents are also present in the saliva glands in the cheeks of the tick.             As they embed and start feeding on the host, the tick introduces its saliva into our body. This can be a pathway for infections to occur within a much shorter time frame than originally thought.
The CDC and media display incorrect information that transmission of infection only occurs after 48 hours.
Ticks can attach to any part of the human body but are often found in hard-to-see areas such as the groin, armpits, and scalp. In most cases, the tick must be attached for 36 to   48 hours or more before the Lyme disease bacterium can be transmitted. https://www.cdc.gov/lyme/transmission/index.html
This myth is being touted in the media during the summer season giving many a false sense of security if they find an attached tick on their body. As a result, individuals delay seeking treatment when symptoms arise, as they think they could not be infected after a few hours or one day. The media also reports this and, frankly, it makes me angry, as it is    a giant myth.
At Lyme disease conferences, I also heard of one child being infected within 20 minutes    of a tick attachment. It is not appropriate to set a timeline guide for transmission, and thus I believe in prophylactic care with herbal and homeopathic treatment for one month with any tick attachment. In addition I would apply essential oils, e.g. oregano oil or frankincense oil to the site for two weeks.
Why Testing Is Flawed:

The traditional ELISA and Western Blot test ONLY check for Lyme disease. They do not test for any the co-infections. Both tests are highly flawed and can come back negative despite a Lyme (Borrelia burgdorferi) infection being present.

If an individual does the Western Blot test shortly after infection, chances are high that it will come back negative. It takes the body a few weeks to make antibodies against a Lyme disease infection.

Also, if the immune system is already weakened by use of steroids such as an inhaler, or immune-suppression medications, the body also will not be able to mount an appropriate antibody response and the test will come back negative.

The Western Blot test was never designed as a diagnostic test. It only takes into account strain of Lyme (Borrelia), while there are over 100 hundred different strains. If you were infected in Germany or Hungary, and test in the US, your test will come back negative as we are only checking one strain in the Western Blot test.

Specialized And Specific Testing For Lyme And Co-infections
Specialized, but expensive, testing is available. Labs that engage in specialized testing include DNAConnexions, Igenex, Galaxy Labs (only bartonella), and Armin Labs in Germany.                                                                                                                                       There are other companies developing tests BUT no test is foolproof. One can be infected with multiple infections, despite testing negative. Ultimately, Lyme and co-infections are   a clinical diagnosis if labs are negative or inconclusive.

Wrapping UpA holistic Lyme protocol has a healthy diet as the foundation, focusing on vegetables, herbs, and whole foods, with the elimination of processed and refined foods, especially those with toxic chemicals added to them.

Ultimate Immune Support System — Extra Strength
Comprehensive and synergistic formulas cleanse the body daily, increase antioxidant levels, heighten neurological function and boost the immune system.

I do not recommend the CDC as your truthful resource on this matter (despite them having made changes to their site recently.) Instead, check into ILADS.org to learn what to do and what to look out for. Go on, have a good time outside, but beware. I do use essential oils for protection including lemongrass or neem oil in a dilution.  I do not like chemicals. Yet Permethrin, a chemical spray, sprayed on the hiking boots can be very effective but it is a brain poison.

Some Look at the Sky and See No Limits

To most people,  the sky is the limit.  To those who love aviation,  the sky is home.
Listen for the magic word of motivation and you will hear it.  I really feel like the sky           is the limit.  I’m a dreamer,  and I dream in full HD. Be all you can be in whatever you choose to do. The sky is the limit, so go for it don’t create any self-imposed limitations.  The attraction of flying is the freedom it gives you. In the sky you can go anywhere and    do anything. The other amazing thing about flying a plane is how easy it is to get away from people and enjoy the solitude of the mountains.

You can do anything you set your mind to.
“There are no limits when you are surrounded by people who believe in you, or by      people whose expectations are not set by the short-sighted attitudes of society, or by people who help to open doors of opportunity, not close them.” ― Neil deGrasse

The sky’s the limit.” “I still want to learn a lot of new things. I want to learn another language. I want to learn how to play guitar. I want to learn karate. The sky’s the limit.        I have the time. Why not?” Keep in mind that this phrase is usually used in a positive   way. So if it’s about something bad or negative that has no limits. The Sky is the limit        To what     I can have [Repeat x3] Just believe and receive it God will perform it today   Hey, Hey, ay Just believe and receive it God will perform it today!!!  I’m Looking for a  miracle and expect the impossible I feel the intangible I see the invisible [Repeat X2.]

The sky is the limit that I can’t exceed
But nothing will stop me from chasing my dreams.
I’ll spread my wings; and like a dove I’ll sore.
I’ll fly higher and higher than ever before.
When things go wrong as they often will,
And the path that I’m walking seems to be all uphill;
I’ll break for a moment and find a nice place to sit,
But I will soon get up and continue; for I refuse to quit.
Towards the end of the universe and the journey in time
It seems that the biggest obstacle that had ever arose,
Was incomprehensibly, self imposed.
The true barrier- I can finally see,
The limit is not the sky
The limit is me.

Gurbaksh Chahal | The Sky is Not the Limit.
You’ve heard the saying, “The sky’s the limit.” It’s meant to indicate that you can achieve anything; that humans can reach beyond the bounds of planet Earth and enjoy limitless success.
I think it’s an antiquated term. I prefer to believe that the sky is definitely NOT the limit. Why be limited by anything?
Strictly speaking, the sky is the space over the Earth where the sun, moon, stars, and        the clouds appear.  But there’s an entire unexplored cosmic universe out there that is beckoning us—a limitless universe sets new sights and new standards for goal-setting.
Why shoot for the sky when you can shoot for the outer reaches of the vast celestial cosmos? Be fearless! Dream big! Be Limitless! Man’s potential goes way beyond the sky.
You can achieve whatever you want to achieve. With the right character, with determined confidence, and with innovative ideas that count you can rise from nothing to the highest levels of society. If you can think it, you can do it. It’s up to you.

How does that last statement make you  feel?                                                                     For many, turning thoughts into deeds, taking the germ of an idea and creating a business employing hundreds or thousands of people, are immensely challenging hurdles. The first time around it’s taking a step into the unknown.  And it can be scary.  However,  once you get beyond the fear there awaits a wondrous world of excitement,  of achievement, and of satisfaction.
Marianne Williamson once put it this way: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?”
The mind of man is limitless. Look at history. Look at today’s world. The pace of innovation and invention in all aspects of our lives continues at an astonishing pace.  High-tech. Medicine.  Communications.  Science.  Some futurists even predict that we   won’t experience 100 years of progress in the 21st century—it will be more like 20,000 years of progress.
Dramatic changes…amazing scientific and technological breakthroughs…they                    can seemingly materialize out of nowhere and disrupt the world as we know it.
So where do you fit in? The answer is…where do you want to fit in? What can you do? What can you contribute? What’s your potential? What do you want to do?
Hopefully, you have an inner voice that’s talking to you and encouraging you to recognize your true potential and shake it awake.
Don’t make excuses. That’s the easy way out. We can all find reasons why we should       not  do something. It’s harder to take action and do it. Just know that when you invest your heart and soul in a project it’s a magical, life-energizing, transformative experience.         Go ahead and discover that for yourself.
Don’t limit your thinking. Don’t limit your do-ing. Challenge yourself to achieve greatness. Find your passion. Share it with others. Collaborate. Shake off any shackles that have been holding you down. Find individuals with whom you can work and who share your passion; good people who share your values and your mission. People you can trust.  S0 Ignore the naysayers and the critics. Ignore the people who are envious. Especially ignore those who wish you ill.

Don’t be ordinary. Be extraordinary.
The sky is not the limit—unless you allow it to be.
As one great athlete said, “Limitations live only in our minds.                                                       But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless.”
The world is a wonderful place. What goes around comes around.                                        God never forgets anyone who sows a good seed in other people’s lives.
Nothing in nature lives for itself. Rivers don’t drink their own water.                                 Trees don’t eat their own fruit. Sun doesn’t give heat for itself.                                        Flowers don’t spread fragrance for themselves.

Living for others becomes the rule of nature. And, therein lies the secret of life.
“There are no limits when you are surrounded by people who believe in you, or                   by people whose expectations are
not set by the short-sighted attitudes of society, or by people who help to open               doors of opportunity, not close them.”
Source: Neil deGrasse Tyson. The Sky is Not the Limit: Adventures of an Urban Astrophysicist.

The popular saying is: The sky’s the limit, which means that our potential and opportunities are sky high.
I think that the new expression “The sky is not the limit” conveys the same idea.               The difference is that now we
can see what is beyond the sky, because we have the Hubble Space Telescope.
Am I right?
The Sky can be limitless let’s take wherever the sky limits in this universe.                                As a 3 dimensional space beyond our expectations and all our potential is unmeasured,  but all happen only in a reasonable way. Once “the sky is not the limit”, your potential could be supernatural power that makes you fly in the sky, which is impossible, isn’t it?

We have already been to the Moon. We might find a way to be tele-transported beyond    the Solar System or the Milky Way. After all matter is just a form of energy according to Einstein. So, if the sky is not the limit, then our potential is even greater, isn’t it.

The sky is not a limit, which means that our potential and opportunities are higher       than the sky, which implies that you can have a job of professor at a university with a high school degree because the opportunities become unlimitedly open to anybody regardless of their status and education. Yes, I agree with you at the point that everything is possible, but human potential isn’t unlimited, at least human is unable to fly without any modern technologies.

Here we are in 110% territory. Some people say 100% is not enough, you have to give  more than that, if you are really enthusiastic, sincere, committed etc. Obviously it is impossible to give more than 100% of your capacity, but still people talk like that.

What is the sky really? It is an optical illusion, nothing more. It looks as if there is a blue dome covering the earth (or a black one at night), a background against which some lofty objects can be seen (planes, clouds, sun, moon, stars). In reality, that appearance is false. The apparent blue dome is just a reflection of longer wavelength light from the molecules of the air in the earth’s atmosphere.

Therefore the phrase ‘the sky’s the limit’ means that there is no limit this side of the ultimate extent of what is visible. It is just a metaphor. It is not a factual expression.            It don’t relate to any real, existing object called ‘the sky’. No such physical object exists.

Neil Tyson’s book title ‘The Sky is Not the Limit’ is really a jocular expression,      suggesting (a) that something called the sky really exists, a sort of roof over the earth,    and (b) that astronauts in space craft fly beyond it. That thought is good for a smile,        but not for drawing any serious conclusions.

I’m not sure if this is a slight disagreement, but my take on it is that while you on one   hand could view “the sky’s the limit” and “the sky’s not the limit” as the same thing,             I think there could be a slight difference.

“The sky’s the limit” could imply that you can see goals which you feel are unattainable.    So if you want to become the world champion of boxing for example.  You might think that’s impossible for you. But the phrase “the sky’s the limit” sort of implies that if you     can see this goal then it is indeed possible to reach it.

“The sky’s not the limit” to me could imply something else however; that beyond what    you can see and perceive there are even more possibilities. We can see the sky, as was pointed out earlier, but we can’t see everything beyond it. So similarly we can see a goal such as being a world champion boxer, because it is a known entity, but that isn’t “the limit” because there are other possible goals beyond that.

Meet Sean Swarner:
The first cancer survivor to stand on the top of the world!
With only one functioning lung, a prognosis of fourteen days to live, and being in a medically-induced coma for a year, Sean Swarner is the first cancer survivor to stand       on top of the world… Mt. Everest. Sean has broken through defined human limitation        in order to redefine the way the world views success.
Sean was diagnosed with two deadly, different, and unrelated forms of cancer, once at     the age of thirteen and again at the age of sixteen. After an incredibly poor prognosis,     and being read his last rites, His first goal was to crawl 8 feet from the hospital bed to      the bathroom.                                                                                                                                            He went on to Redefine Impossible by climbing 29,035 feet to the top of Mt. Everest        with one lung! From there he stood atop the highest point on all 7 continents, skied            to the South and North Poles, and completed the Hawaii Ironman.                                          Sean has been interviewed by Steve Harvey, CBS Evening News, Fox & Friends,                The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Early Show, Huffington Post, Outside the Lines,  Sports Center, Washington Post,  USA Today, Sports Center, and countless others. His numerous articles with thought leaders such as Sir Richard Branson and Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu put him in a category by himself. Sean astounded the medical community when he survived both these brutal diseases. He realized that after defeating cancer twice, no challenge would ever be too great, no peak too high.
Sean proved his theory when he crested the peak of Mt. Everest. As the first cancer survivor to do so,  Sean decided to continue climbing and has since topped the highest peaks in Africa, Europe, South America, Australia, Antarctica, and North America, thus completing the “7-Summits”. Upon skiing to both the South and the North Poles, Sean completed the Explorer’s Grand Slam.
With the completion of the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii,                                    Sean is the only person in history to accomplish these inhuman feats.
As Sean continues to defy the odds, test his own endurance and inspire and motivate people around the world,  he shares his message of healing,  hope, and triumph with        cancer patients worldwide.  Sean serves  as a source  of inspiration as the founder of           the non-profit organization,  The Cancer Climber Association,  is author of the book     “Keep Climbing,”  and as a motivational speaker to corporations,  universities,  and         other organizations around the globe. Julia “Hurricane” Hawkins

Julia “Hurricane” Hawkins reached the starting line of the National Senior Games’       100-meter dash in mid-June in Albuquerque, New Mexico, well ahead of time. She approached, grasping onto her adult daughter and son’s hands for support. Hawkins tucked a sunflower behind her right ear for good luck. She felt slightly more nervous     than she did three years ago when she ran in her first – ever – Senior Olympics event, fulfilling one  of  her bucket list  items of  “finishing the 100-meter dash at age 100.”           She wasn’t so much worried about the running part of it. Hawkins had been having             a little trouble with her eyesight and was nervous it would impede her run.

“I was pretty sure I could run all right if I could get down there and get some time to  orient myself,” she says. But all the worries, the nerves Hawkins felt, vanished when the race started and she took her first step.  She felt like the fastest person on the planet for that moment.  Hawkins became the oldest person to run and win — the 100-meter dash     at the National Senior Games for the women’s 100-plus age division.  That win was in addition to the gold that she snagged the previous day at the 50-meter dash.

She’d seen a roadrunner (a species of fast-running ground cuckoos) in Albuquerque NM.     the previous day, and she took it as a sign that she’d win.  Hawkins had always joked with her family that she was a roadrunner. They’d even bought her a roadrunner brooch, which she wore on some of her dresses.
“Hurricane! Hurricane!” Friends, family and strangers screamed her nickname, an ode     to her need for speed, as she ran. Relatives, neighbors and friends had traveled across the country to be a part of the crowd to cheer her on. Hawkins had no clue she was leading the race. All she cared about was running as fast as she could. It was like that she had her ears plugged until she crossed the finish line.

As soon as she did, she heard somebody yell out,  “You won. You did it!” As Hawkins  stood by the finish line — drawing slow breaths — a 13-year-old girl walked towards her, shyly holding her mother’s smartphone.  She had just started running for her school and was there to cheer for the athletes.” I want to be just like you when I grow up, and I want  to have a picture of you if I could have it,” the teen said to Hawkins.
The Hurricane posed for a photo with the teen, who later said she was going to print       the photo for her bedroom. The image was going to remind herself to live life fully, to be intensely passionate about things,  and to keep pushing to be the best version of herself.
“It makes you feel good to think that you might be helping people that need a little push   to be a little more careful about their [health] and their activities, so if I am doing a little  of that, I am pleased,” Hawkins says.
Hawkins has lived through the Great Depression, World War II and the Civil Rights Movement. In fact, her now deceased husband, an a WWII veteran Murray F. Hawkins (they were engaged while he was at war), was deployed at Pearl Harbor right before the Dec. 7, 1941 attack, and she had to wait eight days — “the longest eight days of my entire life,” she called it — before she found out that he was alive. They went on to live 70 years together as husband and wife in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Murray lived to be 95.

The first time Julia saw Murray was at a Louisiana State University church party more than 75 years ago. Her memory is sharp; she remembered going home after the party and writing about him in her diary,  “I met a cute fellow tonight — a very cute and smart man.   I think I am going to want to see lots of him.”
She loved cycling then. When Murray was stationed in Pearl Harbor, she would cycle seven miles every day to the rural town of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, to teach at a primary school. She was one of the few people in the area who was allowed to buy a bike; a rubber shortage, caused by the advent of WWII, made it difficult for people to buy a bike unless they could prove they really needed it.
When Murray came back after the war, they bought an acre of land in Baton Rouge,    where she’s originally from. The couple raised four children there and grew old together. It’s where Hawkins still resides. Murray took a job as a petroleum engineer  ( he also later became a professor at LSU) and she took care of things at home. Hawkins planted all sorts of flowers — jasmine, carnations and roses — in her back garden and tended to them.

She developed a love for Bonsai trees, “‘They’re like my children,” she says. Hawkins   clips, waters and fertilizes the trees daily. The oldest Bonsai tree she’s grown is 50 years    of age.  “If you marry a good man,  and you live with him for that long and raise children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren — what a lucky life that is!” Hawkins says. At 103, the decades seemed to weave together as she recalled some of her favorite memories. Before being nicknamed “Hurricane,” she was called “Flower girl.” She always wore a flower in her hair. She loved giving people blank journals to record words and pictures of their magic moments. Hawkins would add her special memories to kickstart the journals for her loved ones — there were references to Louisiana sunrises, birds in the backyard  and desert cacti.
At age 80, she’d accumulated a stack of her own journals, her children helped her turn those memories into a memoir. It always was just for her family, and she titled the read, “It’s Been Wondrous.”  When she turned 100,  she’d added to it her running and cycling experiences to her memoir and was able to self-publish for the world.

As she grew older and bolder: Hawkins would cycle to get seeds, plants and groceries,   and at around age 75, she decided she wanted to test her skills in a formal competition. She’d watched one of her favorite movies of all time, “Chariots of Fire” (1981), which is centered on the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris, and thought — it would be exciting to explore her Olympic potential.                                                                                                          S0 Hawkins signed up for cycling events at Senior Olympics events around the country, winning bronze first and then gold.  However,  after falling and dislocating her elbow at the age of 99, she decided it was time to move on from cycling. Years of cycling had kept Hawkins’ legs and hips in great shape, and she longed for a fresh challenge.                        She’d traveled to Greece more than three decades ago with her daughter to see her son-   in-law run a marathon. Watching hundreds of people from across the world get ready to run together seemed exciting. The first time she went running on her street,  her friend and coach Tom Campbell was watching nearby.                                                                             “She takes off running … and I was surprised because I wasn’t expecting actual running!” Campbell said in a 2018 SportsCenter video. “I don’t know what I was expecting.”
“Running thrills me to death, that’s why I do it,” Hawkins says.

The first time she participated in a 100-meter race, she won gold. By 102, she was    running out of space in her medal box, with least 20 medals secured at last count.   Hawkins has 3 world records to her name,  including a 39.62-second 100-meter-             dash record at age 101.  At the time,  she joked with the reporters,  saying that she  “skipped a nap to run the race.”

So What is Julia’s Secret to Having it MADE: its Managing Attitude Diet & Exercise.    While Hawkins maintains an active lifestyle. She walks and stretches daily and works       on her garden regularly. She eats a balanced diet of yogurt, soups and salads, but will     give in to the occasional cravings 0f fried crabs and oysters top her favorite-foods list.   While Julia has always ate healthy and hasn’t smoked nor drank alcohol. At the age of      80 she started to cycle aggressively.  Which she credits got her the solid legs she needs        to run the 100 yard dash at 100 years old as a new challenge.                                                       She believes that with her families support helps because they all encourage her to run      to stay young. They always say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but she proves that old saying wrong and this old dog completely derailed that train of thought.  Julia is also living proof anyone can start something new at any age an excel at it.  Even when others think  you can’t do something including yourself.  What Julia is inspiring people to think.   ‘ is — If Julia can do it — so can we with practice, determination and a strong will.

Hawkins might be 103,  but she still has things — she wants to cross off her bucket list.        The immediate one — is walking across the Brooklyn Bridge.  Ever since she read David McCullough’s book  “The Great Bridge,” which explores the famed bridge’s construction, she’d wanted to go see it. But flying isn’t so easy for the Hurricane. Despite having access to wheelchairs, it’s an ordeal getting from the house to the airport, going from one end to the other end of the other airport, changing planes and deplaning.                                       She noted she’s still recuperating from her flight experience to and from Albuquerque, New Mexico, but “New York is tempting me, maybe I will do it soon,”  Hawkins also says.
“During her time in Albuquerque, people came up to her and said things like, ‘I want to be as fit as you,”  and  “I want to live life like you.”  She met one of the founders of the games, Harris Frank,  at an event.  Frank couldn’t stop smiling in Hawkins’ presence,  telling her,   “I am amazed  that you’re 103  and you’re still running.”   “I’ve lived through a lot,”   says Hawkins.  “I am thankful if people can look at me [and be inspired] to live a good,  happy and full life. That really makes me happy.”

Triple Negative Breast Cancer

A Young Survivor of Triple-Negative Breast Cancer
With an infant son and a difficult-to-treat breast cancer, Salyndria Gregory,                           decided she had to gather strength through her faith and positive attitude.

April 2019 Vol 5 No 2
Sal Gregory
DeSoto, Texas

My name is Salyndria Gregory, but you can call me Sal. I am a young breast cancer   warrior who fought cancer, and now have focused my attention on motivating and inspiring other young patients with breast cancer to conquer their fears.
My journey began on a hot summer day in July in Texas, when I went on a girls’ trip     from Dallas to San Antonio. During that vacation, I discovered a small lump near my armpit. I was alarmed but remained calm and called my primary care physician.
Initially he told me I was too young for breast cancer. Finally, he agreed to examine         me, which resulted in an immediate mammogram.

Triple-Negative Breast Cancer
A week later, I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma, and a type known as    triple-negative breast cancer, which is a less common type of breast cancer and is          often diagnosed in younger women under age 40, and in African-American women.
Triple-negative breast cancer means the cancer does not involve estrogen or progesterone (hormones often associated with breast cancer) receptors or HER2 receptors, and most recent treatments have been developed for breast cancer with these receptors.
Triple-negative breast cancer is more difficult to treat than other types of breast cancer, because until very recently no new treatments have been developed for it, and the treatment is currently limited to surgery and chemotherapy, which weakens the immune system and can cause serious short-term and long-term side effects.
When I received my diagnosis, I was completely devastated, because there aren’t many triumphant stories about patients with triple-negative breast cancer. In addition, I lost    my father to an aggressive cancer when I was a teenager, which has haunted me since then.

Fighting to Survive
However, I decided that I had to fight for myself, as well as for my dad, my mom, grandmother, but most important, for my 1-year-old son, who needed me more than anyone. If I wanted to take cancer head on, I needed to change my attitude from defeat to a positive approach, so I decided to remain myself—a gracious, loving, and joyful woman.  I also began to rely heavily on my faith to help me get through such a dark time.
At one point in my journey, after crying each day for hours, thinking that my life was over, I decided that if I wanted to survive, I couldn’t do so in my current condition. I needed to gather strength, and the only way to do that was by spending time with God.
So I began to read 101 healing scriptures, where God said that I am already healed, and     as I read them each day, they became embedded in my spirit, and I began to believe that     I was, indeed, already healed.
From then on, I had a new zest about me that was inspirational and appealing to everyone I came in contact with. I took to social media to share my journey, and I was able to help and motivate others to learn to conquer the challenges they may be facing in their lives.
My energy, zest for life, and faith seemed to break many of the stereotypes of what a patient with cancer often is.
I told myself, okay Sal, this situation is really crappy, but it is out of my hands. I have given it over to God, so now my job is to remain myself, to try my best to live a normal life and have fun while doing it.

The Trials and Tribulations of Treatment
Since being diagnosed with breast cancer, I’ve gone through several surgeries, including     a double mastectomy, with reconstruction, and I have had three months of chemotherapy, losing 100% of what once was thick, long hair, which I vainly admit was about the hardest part of this experience.
When my hair began to fall out at work, it was so embarrassing, and 2 days later, when       I lost it all in clumps, I was completely devastated. But a couple of hours later, I wiped my wet face, put on jeans and heels, plopped on a wig,  and went to a rooftop to enjoy the rest of the day.                                                                                                                                              My mom looked at me in complete awe, especially because she was holding me like a    baby two hours before.  I knew then that God had given me strength that I did not have before.  I finished my chemotherapy treatments in early 2018, and had one last surgery scheduled for March, before I could start to find my “new normal” as a young survivor.
Be Your Own Health Advocate
When asked what advice I have for young women, I tell my peers under age 40 to be    their own health advocates. If something does not seem right, or you notice a change         in your body, no matter how small, push for further evaluation, until you are satisfied.
Breast cancer in a young women is one of the most ignored issues – in preventive care, because it’s supposed to have a low rate, but breast cancer in young women is not rare,  and it can and does happen often.

Early detection is critical to increasing your chance for survival.
In addition, I believe that attitude is everything, not just with cancer, but with any obstacle in life. You can and will get through it, usually. If you have to cry sometimes, by all means, cry as much as you need. But continue to have faith, keep a positive attitude, and continue to smile and find joy through it all. We are all survivors in this thing called life.

Exercise and dietary advice intervention for survivors of triple-negative breast           cancer: effects on body fat, physical function, quality of life, and adipokine profile

Stage 4 triple negative 5 year survivors – Advanced breast cancer 🙂

Meet Kim and Stephanie, 39-year-old fraternal twins. Diagnosed about three years ago, they are both survivors of triple-negative breast cancer and both have the BRCA1 gene. Only five percent of women have that gene, but those that do are much more likely to       get breast cancer one day. The twist?

They are adopted, and didn’t know  their birth mother and grandmother both died of      the same cancer as theirs. Fortunately, after double mastectomies and hysterectomies, Kim and Stephanie are doing great. They strongly advocate for easier access to family medical records for the adopted, and for early BRCA gene testing for those with a family history. Hear them share about dating, breast reconstruction, and why an annual mammogram isn’t enough. Listen.

Valerie Woo states: This is my advice to women with tnbc n part of my success treating it. Don’t get sucked into the fear of it. Fear causes cancer n also makes it spread. Why? Does  lowers ur immune system, depletes nutrients, raises cortisol, causes hormonal imbalances etc. Then if u put a lot of toxic chemicals into your body filled with fear it may not be very helpful. It is imp to do your own research n surround urself with people who beat all odds with any cancer.                                                                                                                                       Hope is imp n unfortunately there is a lot of fear in our medical systems. Also look at     your body type, sensitivities and your other health conditions. I have shaken my head at how doctors completely ignored this — yet it is the basics of medicine. Chemotherapy may  make other health conditions worst or cause more havoc in a sensitive body making TNBC  spread quickly. Also explore nutrition, herbs et… cetera as many cultures have been using them to successfully treat C for centuries way before chemo. Unfortunately we also have a system  where greed has taken over n demonized many of this which is very sad. Be aware of the greed n do not let doctors push u into a treatment that may not work for you.        Yes you have the time to pull back, research and listen to your inner guidance unless the tumor is affecting a major organ etc. Also another key to my success has been asking the universe for guidance. They are there and will…just ask.                                                               It is Never easy when your dealing with breast cancer but ask them to send clearer messages an to give youu strength to get through it. One thing I think is really important   is the cost to treating TNBC. Most women do better with all natural/diet changes etc.        0r  combination of both natural/special diet/alternative therapies etc. and conventional. Natural remedies etc. get expensive n this needs to start to be covered by govt programs and insurance. It’s not only the very wealthy who should be able to survive this type of bc.
I fully believe that people need to fine tune things to their body type. As a medium I know everyone is unique. For example: I can’t do the liquid iodine thing…way too much for me.   I take iodine in Atlantic Dulse  and my multi vitamin.  I’ve done a lot of meditation/mind and body work (people have healed from just doing that.) I have healed my body a lot with those techniques. So cannot handle as much cannabis & Essiac Tea anymore. We  become  a brand new person every 7 years (though cells regeneration).  So proper nutrition,  herbs, lifestyle changes (includes changing ones thought and beliefs) a person can build a brand new body. With cancer rates so high (and with so many diseases on the increase) and with aggressive types of cancer as the rise. Maybe it’s high time we start combining the best of Eastern n Western medicine.

Mind body connection is very important in healing. Also important is to do some             diet changes…check out Dr. Isabella Wentz. She describes in her book diff reasons         why people get the disease. Could be diet changes that r needed, adrenal and other deficiencies Estrogen dominance, hypothyroidism, histamine intolerance, and high cortisol are all closely connected, and in fact they all stem from the same root cause.         Fix it and the rest will fall into place.  Start fixing the wrong one on its own and you          will make the rest worse. It could also be a combination.                                                                She also doesn’t believe iodine deficiency is the main cause.                                               Increasing Iodine may help some but actually hurt others.                                                      She reversed hers with dietary changes n supplements.
She also offers videos like Chris Wark does.                                                                                      U may wish to see if she’s still on YouTube.

Dr. Bruce Lipton’s work shows us the scientific proof that there is no cancer gene.                  I highly recommend his work.
One of the reasons I removed my first oncologist was she was trying to put a lot                   of fear in me n putting down anything
I said about healing. I knew her energy would just make my diagnosis worst.                           One of things I did to heal was mediate and affirm I was C free and I really felt it….
very important to do in every healing protocol

Positive Energy can provide great healing source!!!

I remember Rosa Parkin came into our Facebook group with a 8 cm. tumor                           in her uterus. The excitement provided and New Hope that she found caused                     her tumor to disappear over night. Through her newfound excitement she got                    out of bed again and began to walk. I believe it was the excitement in her heart                that strengthen her immune system. When panic at the two year mark that her         doctors gave her to live hit. It was the trip to panic Oregon to meet me  &  visit               those providing cannabis oil and rapid decline through a suppressed immune              system that may have caused her passing !!!

TNBC is a bitch as we know but it is able to be dealt with.

Since I wrote my book I’ve discovered more to keep it at bay that what I wrote                         about in my book, I now take Serrapeptase, Lugol iodine drops and colloidal silver.        Also keep the immune system super boosted which is key to all cancer types! I use      Health Leads brand Beta Glucans as they contain no magnesium stearate or other          crap in them. As for the cannabis oil.  I’ve got my dosage down to a fine art now,            there was a time I struggled with keeping the hormones settled but Lugol iodine               has sorted that out.

From the masses of people that contact me the most are fellow TNBC sufferers,                 the majority of them tried chemo and/or radiation the first tine around and I’d say   99.99% of those had a recurrence soon after, the ones gone au natural are still healed.

To recap don’t let the medics “brainwash” you into believing that TNBC can only be cured with chemo/rads (toxicity),  speak to other TNBC warriors with a mix of conventional and alternative methods. Make your decision and 110% believe you’ve made the right choice and go with the flow!  You CAN CERvive!  ~Dee Mani-Mitchell  🙂

Your Must DO List TO Kill Cancer

What Toxic Chemicals Is Your Body Absorbing Infographic.
Researchers have also found a connection between exposure to phthalates and childhood obesity, which includes higher BMI (body mass index) as well as the waist circumference.
Phthalates are synthetic chemicals  which are able to mimic the natural hormones of the body. They’re widely made use of in wall coverings and plastic flooring, medical devices, materials for food processing as well as personal care products. While bad nutrition and insufficient exercise can contribute to obesity, an increasing body of research indicates that environmental chemicals, which include phthalates, might be a factor in increasing childhood obesity rates.
This research was the 1st to look at the connection between phthalate exposure and measurements made use of to determine childhood obesity.
The study tested phthalate concentrations within the urine of 387 children, and noted body measurements which included BMI, height, as well as waist circumference a year later.
The test results showed that over 97% of the children were exposed to phthalates widely used in personal care products like perfume, lotions, and cosmetics; varnishes; and nutritional supplement or medication coatings. The phthalates included MEP (monoethylphthalate) as well as other phthalates.
They also found a connection between concentrations of these phthalates with BMI        and waist circumference in overweight kids.  For example,  BMI in girls having the       most exposure to MEP was 10% more than those having the least MEP exposure.
Studies have revealed that exposure to these regularly used chemicals could impair neurodevelopment in childhood, but this is the 1st research showing that they could       play a role in childhood obesity. The research also further highlights the need for      limiting exposure to these chemicals wherever possible.
The percentage of 6 to 11 year old obese children in the U.S. has increased from 7% in  1980 to in excess of 40% in 2008 . In excess of 15 % of American children between the   ages 6 and 19 are classified as obese.  In New York City,  in excess of  1 in 5  children  found  in public schools are obese.

There have been great advances in food preparation in the last century. These days,        well over half of the foods that we can buy in a typical supermarket are pre packaged          or prepared.  They need either no  or minimal preparation before being ready to eat. However,  there is a dark side  to this convenience.  Most of the foods on our shelves         also contain chemicals  and additives  are known to harm  either the human body or laboratory animals.  If they harm animals, they can harm you. Most ingredients that        you should avoid fall into one of three areas: food additives, artificial sweeteners and artificial colors.
More and more experts are agreeing that you are wise to try to avoid as many chemicals    in your foods as possible. By shopping in mostly the produce, dairy and meat sections of your grocery store, you can avoid many of the harmful food additives listed below. However, all of us need to be on our guard, because some of these ingredients also are used in meats, dairy products and even produce. What does this have to do with Public health? The health of our country is determined by things we consume. This ultimately adds massive costs to our healthcare system as more & more people experience disease from eating processed foods and additives.
More than three-fourths of people with a variety of cancers have low levels of vitamin D, and the lowest levels are associated with more advanced cancers, a new study suggests. High-dose supplements increased vitamin D levels to normal in most patients studied,    but it is too soon to know if supplementation improved their outlook, says researcher Thomas Churilla, MS, a third-year medical student at Commonwealth Medical College      in Scranton, Penn. The findings were presented here at the annual meeting of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO).
Research in the laboratory suggests  vitamin D has anti-tumor properties, regulating  genes involved in the multiplication and spread of cancer cells, Churilla tells WebMD.    For the study, the researchers collected blood samples from 160 men and women with cancer and measured their levels of vitamin D. The five most common diagnoses were breast, prostate, lung, thyroid, and colorectal cancers. Among people in the study, 42% had vitamin D insufficiency, defined as levels between 20 – 30 nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL) of blood. An additional 32% had vitamin D deficiency, with levels less than 20 ng/mL… Some doctors tell you healthy levels should be 70 – 90 ng/mL.

Vitamin D Levels and Stage III Cancer
The average level of vitamin D was about 24 ng/mL. People with levels below 24 ng/mL were nearly three times more likely to have stage III cancer than those with higher vitamin D level. Criteria for different stages differ by type of cancer. However, in general, stage III indicates more extensive disease than lower stages: larger tumor size and/or spread of the cancer beyond the organ in which it first developed to nearby lymph nodes and/or adjacent organs.
There was no association between low vitamin D levels and even more advanced, stage    IV cancers that have spread throughout the body, however.  Churilla says that could be because patients with stage IV cancers may have been seen by a variety of doctors who treated them for vitamin D deficiency

Choose good doctors that will help balance out your system with non toxic treatments
Never say you have cancer because it gives it power. As its so much better to say your       dis `ease when talking to anyone about it.
You are definitely not your disease and one should never surrender to the power of it.   Also one of the first steps is to NOT hold on
any of your past hurts and negativity and accept forgiveness toward ourselves or others, we sabotaged your good work. It always
feels really good to Express the frustration and to let it go… Our cells so smart that         they can feel the difference.
Secondly You need to heal the immune system then it will turn on and kill the cancer   once it is back to normal. I would also take Pancreatin and whole food vitamin C before bed to break down the protein wall that surrounds and protects the cancer cells.             Stay consistent. You maybe on good supplements but consistency and correct dosages          for cancer therapy are a must.                                                                                                           Thirdly get lab test of blood work of any nutritional deficiencies. and find a reiki healer.       You need emotional healing is important and you need hyperbaric oxygen therapy and ozone steam sauna.
Taking and doing all of those things causes the body to detox and cleanse itself.              This is what you need and it may produce a Herxheimer reaction and side effects        which make a person feel sicker. It STOPS Many from getting better because they            feel the treatment is making it worse. Keep chugging along it will get better.                 Also!… How is her spirit? You need to have faith and believe and have a positive           mind as well. The mind can and will hinder healing. S0 Believe In What You’re Doing 🙂
It is difficult to stay positive when feeling so bad  but getting lots of extra sleep will help.
Also If the person has always been a worry wort. How does one even start to turn around their perspectives when that worrisome attitude Is there.                                                              Its tough enough to get slammed with a life threatening disease?                                           Try getting them to watch testimonial videos on YouTube. It’s very inspiring and educational and helps make cancer not as scary. Knowing there is hope and seeing      others that have prevailed makes all the difference. Do things that will bring yourself        joy or do something that you’ve always wanted to try.
A new hobby, meeting new people, take a fun class… anything to look forward to.          Create thoughts that are positive and find some hope and joy!!!                                               It’s important not consume acid forming in favor of Alkaline FOODS.

Healing is not just diet and supplements, also extremely important is the whole       person… mind, body, and spirit. All working together to heal.                                               Getting rid of toxins in your home and ridding yourself, in a gentle way, of a toxic relationship helps. Many do apricot kernels, bloodroot capsules, digestive enzymes,   iodine protocol, a detailed essential oils protocol, fasting, emotional healing –      forgiveness and grief  (this is paramount!!)
When one starts to heal naturally; it’s important to focus on your health four to                  six hours a day of detox and treatments at home between sauna and Epsom salt baths        as well as ozone insufflation and enemas..   meditation and visualization et.. cetera.            It will consume your life but it might also heal your my body without surgery without       radiation without chemo and without hormone blockers…
But remember it’s also important to follow your blood work every month including        liver enzymes and white blood cell counts as well as tumor markers which ‘TellsAll’ and helps guide your protocols and success.. it took years to grow ..so it will take years to heal.

What Makes Essiac Tea Effective Against Cancer.
Essaic Tea has helped many check out this pdf .

* Sheep Sorrel Roots in Essiac: Why is it so important to include sheep sorrel roots in Essiac tea?

The secret ingredient of Essiac tea was discovered by Sheila Snow who obtained letters from Dr. Chester Stock of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. The following quotes came from these letters written by Rene Caisse to Dr. Stock.  Also regarding      sheep sorrel solution for testing on mice. Here is what Rene Caisse stated regarding        the importance of using the whole sheep sorrel plant, including the roots:
“The herb that will destroy a cancer is the dog-eared sheep sorrel, sometimes called sourgrass. The entire plant must be used.”
[April 4, 1974 letter to Dr. Stock; Ref. ESSIAC, THE SECRETS OF RENE CAISSE’S HERBAL PHARMACY, p. 28]

A living witness to the Essiac story, Barbara Kokotsis, also confirmed that sheep           sorrel root was indeed part of the Essiac formula. CLICK HERE for the story.
“Sheep sorrel root is a powerful astringent. By drying out excess moisture from in    between cells, this protects healthy cells from
wastes in solution lingering around them. It also prevents cancer cells from building         up concentrations of chemicals which allow
them to prosper. The tissue can be referred to as “toned”, which is to say it is primed        for absorbing the beneficial chemicals present
in the blood due to consuming Essiac tea.” [Source: The Essiac Mechanism]
Essiac tea should contain a significant amount of sheep sorrel roots.                                     The bare minimum should be about 10% sheep sorrel root in relation to total                 sheep sorrel content (at least 1.6 oz root to make a total of one pound (16 oz.)                        of whole sheep sorrel herb including roots).

Burdock
Burdock, or Arctium lappa, goes by many names throughout the world, and is a      common weed throughout Europe,  Asia and north America that grows in soil that is high in nitrogen. The burdock roots cleaning abilities play a very important role in the essiac tea formula. With its high content of FOS, a complex carbohydrate, it is used to help eliminate harmful pathogens within the body.  It has been used and studied throughout Europe and Asia, and has been eaten  as a vegetable in these areas  for hundreds of years.  It has many different medicinal purposes which span from assisting the growth of beneficial bacteria  in the gastrointestinal tract, to helping treat and prevent baldness and it contains antioxidants which help rid the body of free radical cells reducing the risks of cancer. It is also considered one of the best natural blood and liver cleansers , and is found to contain many important nutrients and vitamins such as calcium, amino acids, potassium, calcium, vitamin B complex, vitamin A, vitamin P, and vitamin E.
Burdock root’s liver and blood cleansing effects are absolutely essential to the effectiveness of essiac tea. The liver and blood must be cleansed in order for the immune system to be able to work at it’s full potential to help the body fight disease on its own. This is where burdock root finds itself in the synergy between the four ingredients.

Sheep Sorrel Root
Sheep Sorrel, or Rumex acetosells, is a part of the buckwheat family and can be found in many diverse environments, which include marshes, open fields, rocky areas, floodplains, and many other soils that are either moist or acidic. Its main cancer fighting ability comes from the chlorophyll that is found in the plant. Chlorophyll is well known for helping the body carry oxygen through the blood stream helping the body stay healthier and energetic. Cancer can only grow in a low oxygen environments, so providing the blood with higher oxygen levels can inhibit the growth of cancerous cells.
On top of its cancer fighting properties it also help to keep the body healthy through    other cancer treatments. The chlorophyll found within the plant also helps with healing radiation burns and can be very beneficial when undergoing radiation treatments. It can also help to generally improve cardiovascular health, as – well – as providing many other benefits such as detoxifying the body, helping blood coagulation, providing the body with antioxidants, high vitamin C content and many others. Sheep sorrel root has also been a well known cancer fighter for thousands of years.

Slippery Elm
Slippery Elm, or Ulmus rubra, grows natively to north America, but has been introduced Asia as well as Australia. It has been used for many medicinal purposes by native Americans throughout history. Is main uses by the Native Americans were for healing boils, skin inflammation, burns, and impurities throughout the body. These same soothing elements can be achieved within the body as well when ingested. When prepared correctly the bark can help sooth digestive inflammation such as gastritis, ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease as well as many others.
The barks inner lining becomes a gel that coats the inner lining of your body’s digestive tract when consumed, and in turn, helps to soothe any inflammation that may occur.     This not only applies to helping pre-existing conditions however.                                         The main reason why the ingredient is included in the tea is assist with the bodies      coping abilities with some of the other ingredients. One specifically to mention is             the Turkey Rhubarb. Because of the Turkey Rhubarb’s properties, it can also cause inflammation of the digestive system, and cause discomfort. The Slippery Elm Bark‘s soothing abilities in the digest tract help to counteract this negative side effect.

Turkey Rhubarb
Turkey Rhubarb, or Rheum palmatum, is a rapidly growing plant that has been know        to reach heights of up to 10 feet. It is native to China, but has also been know to reside       in parts of Northern Tibet as well.  But it has been introduced — throughout the world    and now grows throughout Europe  and North America in the wild.                                     This plant pops up throughout Chinese history as a remedy for many different ailments, and has even been accounted as gifts and medicine for different Chinese emperors. Its   well know uses are to cure fever, and relive constipation, and is still in use today, both     for natural remedies, and by the medical community.

Among the older uses for the plant, some new evidence has shown up within the scientific community regarding other uses it may have for different sicknesses. It has been found to help reduce diabetic swelling in animal tests done with the turkey rhubarb extract, making it beneficial  for anyone suffering from diabetes.  It has also been found to helped reduce negative markers found in the blood of patients suffering from terminal kidney failure. Although the traditional uses have been found to be beneficial, there are still many other uses being found for this thousand year old remedy.
The main reason for its inclusion within essiac tea, is help cleanse the colon. Many diseases start within the colon, which helps govern the general health of the rest of           the body. Turkey Rhubarb is used to ensure that the colon remains cleansed, as well           as healthy, to help the body cope with fighting the sickness. In spite of its potential to        be poisonous in large amounts, small dosages of it can be quite helpful, and in the case      of essiac tea, helps the body stay healthy to fight disease on its own.

Mycologist Paul Stamets has devoted his career to advancing our understanding of the healing potential of mushrooms. His work hit home when his mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that had spread to her sternum and liver.
Her oncologist told her she was too old for radiation therapy. The doctor recommended a clinical trial of turkey tail mushrooms at the Bastyr Integrative Oncology Research Center — a study her son happened to be supplying through his mushroom cultivation business, Fungi Perfecti. By Host Defense!!
Stamets tells the story of his mother’s dramatic recovery in a TED MED talk                  (beginning at the 7:50 mark).
One day during the seven-year breast cancer clinical trial, Paul received a phone call. While first unable to make out who was on the other line because of the hysterical crying, Paul soon realized it was his 83 year old mother Patty. She was scared and proceeded to explain that her lymph nodes were swollen and her right breast was enlarged. Soon after the call, Paul rushed his mother to the Swedish Cancer Institute in Seattle, WA.                   It was the news nobody wants to hear. The highly aggressive cancer had invaded her liver and sternum in addition to the enlarged tumor in her breast. The oncologist at the cancer institute said it was the second worse case of breast cancer she had seen in twenty years of practice. It had progressed too far for conventional options and treatments. The advice was to make amends and consider plans for the inevitable.

On the third visit to the cancer center, the news was no better. The progression was quickening and there were no answers. The doctor suggested to Patty that she consider a clinical study using medicinal mushrooms for women with breast cancer. There was hope in a long-shot clinical study — Paul’s study at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Patty enrolled and began taking 6-8 grams of turkey tail mushrooms per day alongside the cancer drug herceptin.
“We are now rediscovering that which our ancestors long ago knew: That mushrooms      are deep reservoirs for very powerful medicines,” says the author, speaker and researcher.

Healing Power of Cannabis

Understanding The Healing Power of Cannabis

Have you ever wondered why marijuana affects people the way it does? What is it that makes THC and CBD react within your bodies, while healing and offering relief to the ill? What makes this plant such a diverse medicine, able to treat such a large number of vastly different conditions?
If you had asked this question fifty years ago, there wouldn’t have been an answer for you to find. Unfortunately, the extraction methods available in the early 1900s made it difficult to determine which one of the 80+ cannabinoids found in cannabis was the psychoactive cannabinoid responsible for the effects of marijuana.
The truth is, it’s only been in the last couple of decades that scientists have truly even begun to understand the ways cannabis works within our bodies.

It all started with a scientific breakthrough in 1964, when a scientist from Israel named Raphael Mechoulam was able to identify and isolate THC for the first time – just prior to which they were able to identify CBD as well. Being able to isolate these cannabinoids for the first time was the first stepping stone in discovering the endocannabinoid system – a biological system that can be found in just about any living thing with vertebrae.

– “By using a plant that has been around for thousands of years, we discovered a new physiological system of immense importance,” says Raphael Mechoulam, the dean of      the transnational cannabinoid research community. “We wouldn’t have been able to         get there if we had not looked at the plant.”

In 1988, the first cannabinoid receptor was found in the brain of a rat. Initially found by Allyn Howlett and William Devane these cannabinoid receptors turned out to be plentiful in the brain – more so than any other neurotransmitter receptor. Soon after this discovery researchers started using a synthetic form of THC (which is actually FDA approved these days, to treat severe nausea and wasting syndrome) to start mapping the CB receptors      in the brain.

Not much of a surprise,  that the receptors were located primarily found in the regions responsible  for mental and physiological processes  including memory,  higher cognition,  motor coordination,  appetite and emotions among other places. This would only begin to explain:  how cannabinoids affect our brains and bodies – and it was becoming clear that cannabinoids likely played a larger part in our physiology than we ever expected. After all, why would we have cannabinoid receptors if cannabinoids could only be delivered from external sources?

It wasn’t until two years later in 1990 — before the next big breakthrough; when Lisa Matsuda announced at the National Academy of Science’s Institute of Medicine that she and her colleagues  at the National Institute of Mental Health had managed to pinpoint  the DNA sequence  that defines a THC-sensitive receptor in a rat’s brain.  Not long after   this announcement they were able to successfully clone that receptor – allowing them to create molecules that “fit” or “activate” the receptors. Scientists were also able to develop genetically altered mice that lacked this specific receptor – meaning THC should have no effect on them.
When THC was given to the “knockout mice” as they were called, they found that because the THC had nowhere to bind, there was also no way to trigger any psychoactive activity – proving once and for all —  THC works by activating specific cannabinoid receptors in the brain and central nervous system.

The answer to that question started to unfold in 1992, when the first endocannabinoid  was discovered. Anandamide was the first, naturally occurring endogenous cannabinoid, or endocannabinoid.  It was found by Raphael Mechoulam as well as NIMH researchers William Devane and Dr. Lumir Hanus.

Soon after, in 1993, a second cannabinoid receptor was found – as a part of the immune and nervous systems. Dubbed CB2  (the CB receptors in the brain officially dubbed CB1 receptors) receptors they are found to be plentiful – throughout the gut, spleen, liver, heart kidneys, bones, blood vessels, lymph cells and even the reproductive organs. However that curious, pesky question remained unanswered – why do we have cannabinoid receptors in the first place? (as named after the Sanskrit word for bliss.)

A second endocannabinoid was identified in 1995, discovered by none other than Mechoulam’s group yet again. This second major endocannabinoid was dubbed 2-arachidonoylglycerol or “2-AG” to keep it simple. This particular endocannabinoid attaches to both CB1 and CB2 receptors.

It was these discoveries, working backwards, tracing the metabolic pathways of THC, which allowed scientists to discover an entirely unknown molecular signaling system     that resides within us – and within thousands of other biological lifeforms, basically everything on our planet with the exception of insects.

Due to the role cannabis had played in discovering this system it was rightfully named          the endocannabinoid system. While we knew about the plant first – this cellular process has been happening within us  for millions of years. According to Dr. John McPartland,  the system started evolving as long ago — as 600 million years back – when complex life meant a sponge. There is evidence a possible 3rd CB receptor has still gone unidentified, thirteen years after the CB2 receptor was initially discovered.

Since we have found out the endocannabinoid system is responsible for maintaining many of our normal bodily functions – everything from helping to maintain healthy bone density (as found in a study with mice and the previously mentioned “knockout mice”) to naturally preventing diabetes – and that’s only the beginning. It’s interesting to see how far we have come. It has been 55 years ago  THC had just  been identified –  thanks to the discovery of that one cannabinoid we’ve discovered an entire molecular system within our bodies that we never knew about.

Dr. Ethan Russo Explains the ECS!!!

Actually, the endocannabinoid system is possibly the single-most important system    within our entire bodies – responsible for maintaining homeostasis. Basically, if our endocannabinoid system is out-of-whack, as your whole body could be at risk as it is responsible for many of our normal day to day functions. The possibilities that come      with understanding the endocannabinoid system are practically endless.

This one system helps to regulate almost every aspect of our well-being – meaning if         we can learn to manipulate these receptors (with use of cannabinoids from cannabis)      we could possibly have the answer to not only curing diseases, however,  preventing    them all together.

The thing here is, this is still 100% true today, over 100 years later. There are thousands   of brilliant men and women working in pharmaceuticals, working to create medicines to do exactly what cannabis is already capable of doing. Why do we (humans), always think we have a better way to do things?

Why do we have FDA approved drugs that mimic THC and are potentially stronger than naturally occurring THC – yet the plant that gave way to that drug is considered a highly dangerous drug with no medical value?

People are starting to see however, that sometimes, the best solution is a natural one.    One that has been around and been used for thousands of years to treat conditions of all sorts. With the understanding of the endocannabinoid system comes the chance to bring the truth about cannabis to light – finally allowing us to understand how one plant can have such a positive impact on so many different ailments.

Now we’ve all got a good understanding of exactly how the endocannabinoid system was discovered through cannabis,  it will be easier to understand — how the endocannabinoid system works  – The Chemistry of Cannabinoids and the Human Body –  also look at how cannabinoids THC and CBD lock-on to the CB receptors, in turn causing the medicinal benefits that people have come to trust over more traditional medicines.

How was the ECS discovered?

In the mid-1990s, Dr. Raphael Mechoulam also discovered the two main receptors that connect to both the endocannabinoids that our bodies naturally produce and plant-based cannabinoids like  THC and CBD.   These two receptors became known as cannabinoid 1 (CB1) and cannabinoid 2 (CB2) receptors. The breakthrough of these receptors required working backwards, tracing the metabolic pathways of THC that led scientists to discover the unknown molecular signaling system that exists inside these thousands of biological lifeforms.

What is the role of the ECS?

Rightfully named after the plant that aided in its discovery, the endocannabinoid system   is a physiological system that controls and cares for your health. Endocannabinoids and its receptors can be found throughout the body,  in the brain,  organs,  glands, and connective tissues. This system is actually responsible for also — helping maintain many of our bodily functions.  It plays a crucial role from our immune system to our nervous system  because endocannabinoids are often found at intersections of our bodies’ various systems, and it ultimately acts as a bridge between the body and the mind.

How does CBD benefit you?

The medicinal benefits that come from the proper use of CBD are seemingly limitless given the current science! CB2 receptors are mainly found in the immune system that binds with CBD and work as an anti-inflammatory agent for our body.  There  are  immune  boosting functions of CB2 that are activated by the proper use of CBD, which includes moderating the intoxicating effects of THC (aka psychoactive or high).

We hope we’ve answered a few of your questions on just why our products have such a positive impact on different aspects of your physical health. How much THC for Cancer!!!!

In the article by Sulak on NORML.org, there was a quote he used that particularly stuck out to me…  “There were never so many able and active minds at work on the problems of disease as now, and all their discoveries are tending toward the simple truth that you can’t improve on nature.” – Thomas Edison, 1902
The thing here is, this is still 100% true today, over 100 years later. Do you need THC for Healing

FECO stands for Full Extract Cannabis Oil. RSO stands for Rick Simpson Oil. These are both anachronisms for CO (Cannabis Oil)…kind of. All CO is not the same. Some is made from only flowers, some from only trimmed discards mixed in with fan leaves and some from fan leaves only.

Some may have pesticide  or toxic substance residuals depending on how the cannabis  was grown  and  how the oil was made.  FECO is made from both flowers  and fan leaves, providing a full spectrum of all the good stuff the plant contains. The only fool proof way, in most situations, to ensure you get a high quality full spectrum oil is to make it yourself. Lots of links on the internet to steer/teach you. Also get organic cannabis,  if all possible, as your raw material.

Though FECO and RSO can be somewhat the same thing in a lot of cases, the term “RSO” is refrained from many cannabis advocates vocabulary due to the use of these highly toxic solvents recommended by Rick Simpson. Benzene, Naptha, ISO alcohol and so on. If you can’t put it in your body, then don’t make oil with it.

CBD Isolate Vs. Full Spectrum CBD
What’s the Difference Between CBD Isolate vs Full Spectrum CBD?
Due to its non-psychoactive healing properties, Cannabidiol (CBD) has become a very popular option for patients — seeking a natural alternative to treat conditions such as chronic pain,  anxiety,  epilepsy,  and more.  As patients start to understand how CBD         can be used to alleviate their symptoms,  they are often faced — with a choice between      using products made from CBD Isolate or Full Spectrum CBD.  So, what exactly is the difference between the two?
When CBD is referred to as full spectrum or whole plant CBD, it means that the CBD contains all other cannabinoids found in the marijuana plant including CBN (Cannabinol), CBG (Cannabigerol), and THCV (Tetrahydrocannabivarin), to name a few. And yes, along with these cannabinoids,  Full Spectrum CBD also contains certain trace amounts of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), in very low concentrations (up to .3%), resulting in very minimal psychoactive stimulation.
CBD Isolate, on the other hand, is simply purified CBD that has been extracted from the marijuana plant and isolated from the other cannabinoids. So why is this important, and why would a patient choose one over the other? Let’s continue!

Understanding the Benefits of the Many Cannabinoids
As shown in the chart above, each cannabinoid offers different benefits for a wide variety of ailments. Notably, CBD offers most of the benefits of each cannabinoid combined. While there is no debate that CBD offers the most benefits compared to any single cannabinoid, many wonder if CBD alone is more effective for treating ailments               than all the cannabinoids combined.

How Do You Make Cannabis Oil

CBD Isolate vs Full Spectrum CBD: Which is More Effective?
It was previously believed that CBD in its isolated form was more potent and concentrated than full spectrum CBD; however, in 2015, the theory was debunked by a study from the Lautenberg Center for General Tumor Immunology in Jerusalem.                                           In the study, researchers administered full spectrum CBD and CBD isolate to 2 different groups of mice. When comparing the data of the two groups, the results proved that the group administered with full spectrum CBD were provided with higher levels of relief. Furthermore, the study demonstrated that full spectrum CBD continued to provide relief as the dose increased, while CBD Isolate did not provide the same effect when there was an increase in dosage. https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=full+spectrum+cannabinoids&FORM=HDRSC2

While full spectrum CBD has ultimately proven to be more effective than CBD Isolate     and can also be used to effectively treat a wide variety of ailments, it does not discredit the effectiveness of CBD Isolate. There are a wide variety of situations when CBD isolate would be preferred over Full Spectrum CBD.  For example,  you may not necessarily need the full capabilities of Full Spectrum CBD, or if you aren’t legally allowed to use THC.

It is important to note — that other cannabinoids may cause negative reactions when isolated CBD wouldn’t (if the condition you are suffering from is critical, we definitely advise you speak to a medical consultant before trying out any version of CBD).
As researchers continue to study the marijuana plant, we will learn more and more     about these amazing cannabinoids and what they can do for us.
