Deanna’s Story

‘Almost losing your life should be anyone’s wake – up call’…Deanna says,  “I spiraled out of control on so many aspects of  my life.”  A lot of drugs, and alcohol,  personal  life in chaos.  So many mistakes!  Jail time,  probation  as I  finally landed myself  in prison.

Although  prison  is  where  I  made  the  decision  to  change  everything,  and not  for one specific reason, but  for all. While in prison, I  found out that I had contracted Hepatitis C.   I didn’t know what to ask  or even understand the details the Dr. tried to explain to me.

All I really remember is she basically said,  ‘it’s  common in prisons  and  mine wasn’t as bad as alot of others and people have been cured completely.’ She also said,  “that since  I wouldn’t be  imprisoned long enough  to  receive full treatment  for the Hep C.”

They would not start my treatment  for it while I was there.  Treatment came after my release  from prison, as I was referred to Dr. Ravi Kamepalli,  a specialist in Lima, Ohio.  He began a six month treatment of medicine that included Pegintron 150 mcg, self injected once a week and Ribavirin 600mg.  twice daily.

Within the  first six weeks,  my blood work was no longer showing any Hepatitis C.  These medications  were  slowly taking care of  the Hep C, but the  treatment  was  also  wreaking havoc on  me  mentally,  as ~ well ~ as physically.  I  ate  practically  nothing  because…. I  just  was  not  hungry,  so I lost 50 pounds.

I don’t remember much  during  that  time.  I  slept  almost  constantly.         I could hardly  function to  form a sentence, much less hold a conversation with anyone. I also had some back issues, and the treatment increased the back pain. So I  found  myself  seeking  pain meds  from  Drs.  only  to  have those interfere even more.

Thankfully, I had my support system and those people helped me keep going.  If  I had tough days,  they were always there.  I’m also thankful my  treatment came after I was released  from prison because of the harshness  of  the medication used and the side effects.

After years of  pushing my limits  to  the  max  and putting  my  life  in jeopardy.  I  am  finally  what I consider myself  to be on the  ‘right track.’ and  “I’m in remission.”  All blood work  still  shows  no signs of  Hep C  in   my system.

I’m still taking one day at a time,  but I’m healthier  and stronger than          I have been  in years.  I’m eating healthier,  exercising  and  losing a little weight here and there, but using my head to do so. I lost all my hair while   in treatment, but it’s grown back in and looks great.

I’m starting to  feel like the Ole’ Deanna.  I’m receiving so much support   and encouragement  from so many directions.  All of  that is making me be and do things  I’ve never thought would be possible.  I am thankful  for the second chance I was given,  And  I’m  looking  forward  to  a  long  healthy happy life!!!                                               Thanks…. Deanna!

Miracle Cancer Cures or NOT

With Health Care Being What It Is:  soon  111,162,259  households  in  the United States  will take  a Humanitarian Effort to safe guard against cancer. Maybe we should all change are stance and  false pretense  that only doctors should be allowed  to tell us what we…. should  do  for our health.  Maybe we should  be  self – educating  while  expressing  opinions  about  what  works before it gets us down    Miracles happen

From the book:  One Minute Cure,  written  by  Madison Cavanaugh and   published  by Maria Veloso,  to DCA  and  the University of  Alberta  there is a lot of  Miracle Cures sounding promising. With one of  the most promising preventives  being  medicinal  mushroom  (ChagaMaitakeShiitake,  and  Tiger Milk) which are all great immune system boosters.

Including Turmeric/Curcumin  which  everybody  should  consider  for   health protecting qualities.  Everyday 660/1,000,000 women are inflicted with breast cancer  and 160/1,000,000 will die  from this dreadful disease. Likewise in India  where Turmeric  is a staple spice in  their everyday diet 79/1,000,000  are inflicted  and  41 die  from breast cancer.

While another supplement:  Hibiscus Extract  is used  for treating loss        of  appetite, colds, heart and nerve diseases, upper respiratory tract pain and   swelling  inflammation.   Fluid  retention,   stomach  irritation,  and     disorders of  circulation;  for dissolving phlegm,  as a gentle laxative and    as a diuretic  to increase urine output.

Still another hopeful…. is  eggplant  extract  with  the  phytochemical  called solasodine glycoside  or BEC5  which  Dr. Bill E. Cham  discovered.  Which  works  by  bonding to a receptor on the surface of  the cancer cell. After the eggplant extract  causes  the cancer cell to rupture and  it’s than reabsorbed by the body.  BEC5  has been proven effective in treating over 80,000 cases of  skin cancer.      Also checkout Black Salve?

In the late 1930’s,  acclaimed agricultural scientist  Dr.   George Kohler     and  colleagues  discovered  something unexplainable  about wheat grass. Being called the “Grass Juice Factor”  (GJF), there is no doubt the immune system is paramount to preventing the development of cancer and ridding the body of  cancer cells and their residual toxins.

Cruciferous Vegetablespeople whom consume the compound in these veggies called isothiocyanates benefit more than other people whom don’t with a healthier lifestyle  and  reduced risk of  cancer.  However,  being no two people are alike…. it’s still debatable of  the impact they may play but     I include super  foods in my diet as much as possible.

Chemotherapy doesn’t have to be a dreadful experience  and especially including  a high quality Aloe Vera Juice  product.  Might help strengthen the body’s natural immune system to  fight cancer while at the same time protecting  the  healthy  cells   from  irreversible  damage  with  far  fewer side effects  from your treatment.

Pau d’arco (lapacho)  a herbal medicine of  several  South  and  Central American indigenous people to treat a number of ailments including  fever, infections  and stomach complaints.  Although  also  proposed  as  a  cancer treatment controlled studies doesn’t support  this  claim  warranting  some consideration  for the side effects of  chemotherapy.

Sanicle  which  American Herbalist practitioner Jethro Kloss considered    to be a cure all of  all things.  Sanicle  possesses powerful cleansing ablilities  and healing virtues both internally  and  externally  being  predetermined to be a bulldozer,  builder  while  finding  and   fixing  what is wrong with you.

Beet Root Juice  in a German Study  is rated above all others as the most popular of  Alternative Cancer Treatments.  The Betalain  in  beet root  has proven effective   fighting skin tumors  and  liver tumors,  while betacyanin has  been  linked in reducing precancerous esophageal lesions  and  tumors.  While  beet  root  also  has  been  shown  to  negate  the  adverse  problem of Heterocyclic Aromatic Amines  (HAAs)  that  form on meat  and   fish being over cooked.

Macrobiotic Diet for Cancer

This  blog post  is  my  own  personal view point  and  my  own opinion.     Which  I’m allowed to have…. I did the research  and  it is my personal blog. When you research nutrition  for prevention of  chronic disease it has many  redeeming qualities.  However,  when it comes  to treatment is macrobiotic diets…. are they really that effective.

When you look at chemotherapy and radiation being counter productive while  producing carcinogenic toxins  killing  good  and  bad cells.  That also causes secondary cancers,  therefore,  is chemotherapy and radiation really the way to go.  Some cancer patients question it’s ability to heal when while going through chemotherapy,  bacteria on  fruit consumed  can also lead to  a deadly bacterial infection.

When your dealing with chemotherapy  and  all the negative side effects that goes along  with it.  The cancer patient  is often caught  between a rock  and hard place. With lowering blood counts that often restored after chemo you still  have  your  setbacks  during  treatment.   Often  white  blood  cells drop,  neutropenia often causing  fever,  chills,  coughing,  oral thrush/sore throats,  using Colgate Total  and  it’s  anti  fungal  properties  for good oral  hygiene. With  burning during urinating and severe diarrhea/constipation  frequent (1000mg of  Milk Thistle can be used  for chemo liver damage.)

To compound the problem even  further red blood cells can lower to the point of  anemia causing increased tiredness,  fatigue,  shortness of  breath. and  chest pains which often  bee pollen can help.  With  diminished  platelet counts,  thrombocytopenia can occur with easy bruising, bleeding  from the skin,  urine  and  stool self  evident  with  severe  head  aches  being  normal. Therefore one should understand what to expect to alleviate some  or  most of  the side effects.

As  I  research  the Macrobiotic Diet  for a cancer cure,  listen  also read  the differing viewpoints.  The  cases  that  peeked  my  interest  the most are  X – Memphis BBQ King Chris Wark,  researching his own answer to cancer, Kris Carr whom became popular writing books, Suzanne Somers  with  her own blog debating the trials & tribulations and Cleveland’s own Janet Hick whom was mentor  by Macrobiotic Expert Francois Roland.

When I write macrobiotic diet  I’m not stating a carrot stick, celery stalk for dinner and supper. In Chris Wark’s case  it was a hardcore  fight  for his life  with eight 8 ounce  veggie  juices  daily.  Combined  with  a  giant  salad twice @ day (including broccoli, cauliflower, kale, spinach, onions, peppers and  mushrooms topped  with  an  olive  oil/apple  cider  vinegar  dressing.) With  garlic,  oregano,  cayenne pepper, turmeric  seasoning  with  a  blend  smoothie  for desert of  baby coconut,  banana,  with a mixture of  berries.

While Liana Werner – Gray  whom some consider an imposter growing up in  the  Outback of  Australia  (Alice Springs ~ Northern Territory.)  Amongst the  indigenous  aboriginal tribe  communities.  Living  off  the  land  without technology  and  instead  harvesting  what  earth  provides  naturally. While coming  down  with  a  precancerous tumour  in  her  lymphatic system  after moving to the city  and  becoming  a  junk  food addict of  refine sugar.

In  the  five  cases  above  we talk about  over dosing on  phytonutrients (raw food) known to kill cancer cells.  When you over dose in this  manner    it  performs  aggressive detoxification  throwing  your body  into a ketosis,  thereby, burning  fat cells  and the toxins stored in them  for energy. While producing a healing state  putting your body in a cleansing state.

So in a sense… what difference is it if you go through chemotherapy with it’s sometimes  harsh side effects  that can disseminate your immune system. Or decide  to go through  an aggressive detoxification  that heals the body by kicking toxins out thereby producing a healing pathway. However, it would be counter productive  and  you can’t decide both ways  it’s one  or the other. If  you would do both  with  the  macrobiotic diet  kicking out toxins it would also render the chemotherapy ineffective.

Oxidative Stress Impact on the Human Body

This blog post may not make sense once you read it,  however,  once you look through the links;  research it  for yourself  it will become crystal clear. Within the human body a wide array of  events occur that produces chronic inflammation.  Predispose  susceptible  cells  to  neoplastic  transformation, in general, the longer inflammation persist, the higher risk  for cancer.

This  inflammatory  process  may  induce  DNA  mutations  in  cells  via   oxidative/nitrosative  stress.  This condition occurs when the generation of free radicals and active intermediates in a system that exceeds the system’s ability  to neutralize  and  eliminates  the culprits.  Inflammatory  cells  and  cancer cells….  themselves produce  “free radicals”  and  soluble  mediators, such as metabolites of  arachidonic acid,  cytokines  and chemokines.

Which act by further producing reactive species, these in turn, strongly recruit  inflammatory  cells  in  a  vicious  cycle.  Reactive  intermediates  of   oxygen  and  nitrogen may directly oxidize DNA,  or  may interfere with the  mechanisms  of  DNA  repair.  These reactive substances  may  also  rapidly react with proteins, carbohydrates and lipids.

Thereby,  having the derivative products inducing a high perturbation     in the intracellular or intercellular hemostatic until DNA mutation occur. The  main  substances also linking inflammation to cancer… via oxidative/   nitrosative  stress are prostaglandins  and  cytokines  which can suppress  the immune system.

The effectors  are  represented  by an imbalance  between  pro-oxidants and  antioxidants  enzyme  activities  (lipoxygenase,  cyclooxygenase,  and phospholipid hydroperoxide glutathione peroxidase), hydroperoxides  and lipoperoxides,  aldehydes  and  peroxnitrite.  This  review  focalizes  on  the  intricate events by discussing the relationship occurring among oxidative/ nitrosative/metabolic stressinflammation  and cancer pathways.

While oxidative stress causes cancer  those  same  free radical assaults can damage the eye and the rest of the body as well.  One key preventive is consuming a healthy diet while avoiding exposure to pollution, chemicals, smoking  and  ultra violent radiation.  While  free  radical  production can occur  with normal daily metabolism some risk  factors can be reduced by     a diet  filled with antioxidant  foods.

So what people need to know  to prevent  cancer  as  well  as  cataracts which  is  easier  to understand  is  to  follow  a  healthy diet.  That includes colorful   fruits  and  vegetables  enriched  with  antioxidant  vitamins  and phytochemicals  found  in  them.  Along  with  a  moderate consumption of  fish high in omega – 3 fatty acid. While also avoiding those  food additives, sugary snacks & soft drinks, reducing sodium & fried greasy  fast  foods to help you avoid cataract surgery and cancer in your  future!!

Antioxidants  are very beneficial  as  they  help  to boost energy while  reversing the aging process  and  nourishing skin by supplying purifying agents  into the blood.  Playing a vital role  in  preventing chronic disease with my personal  favorite being Zeal  for Life. What Wild Berry  flavored blend does besides tasting great…  is give me a boost each morning before riding  my  bicycle.  If  it  wasn’t   for  this  product  no – way  could  I  ride    18 miles  without so much a sunburn  while losing the weight  I want to    lose by the 4th of  July.      For Q & A Contact:  Peggy Easterwood

The Hidden Factors

As  I  scroll  back  in  time  through the archives  of  Solitarius  it’s great         time spent. Especially the  first six months of  2013 with tons of information included about cancer awareness and in April reading and watching videos of the cancer survivors and success stories. None better than the uniqueness  of  this blog post which will deal with the infectious causes of  cancer.

The infectious causes of  cancer  account  for 18%  of  cancers  worldwide.  This proportion varies in different regions of  the world  from high of  25% in Africa  to  less  than  10%  in  the  developed world. With mold being an usual infectious  agent  causing  cancer,  however,  bacteria,  parasites,  and  even, viruses having an effect.

More studies are needed to get a clear picture of the health effects that’s related  to mycotoxins.  However,  it  is  clearly  prudent  to  avoid  exposure to mold.  Why some molds…. can produce several toxins  and  some produce mycotoxin  only  under  certain environmental conditions.  The presence of mold in a building  does not  necessarily mean  mycotoxins  are  present  or  they are present in large quantities.

Mold can produce mycotoxins that cling to the surface of  mold spores, while others may be  found within spores.  More than 200 mycotoxins have  been  identified  from  common  molds  and  many  remain  to  be  identified. Some of these molds that are known to produce  mycotoxins  are commonly  found in moisture damaged buildings after natural disasters.

Mold spores are microscopic in nature  and  naturally presence in both indoors  and  outdoor air.  Mold reproduces  by means of  their spores  and some are easily disturbed and waft into the air or settle repeatly with each disturbance. Spores may also remain able to grow  for years after they are produced.   In addition,  whether  or not  the spores are alive,  the allergens in and on them may remain allergenic  for years.

Exposure pathways  for  mycotoxins  can include inhalation,  ingestion,   or  through  direct  skin  contact.  Many  human  health  effects  attributed to inhalation of  mycotoxins have been reported,  including mucous membrane irritations (sinus cavity),  skin rash,  immune system suppression,  acute  or  chronic liver or nervous system damage, endocrine effect or cancer

Bacteria infections….  may  also  increase  the risk of  cancer,  as seen in  Helicobacter – pylori – induced   gastric  carcinoma  or  the  mechanism  by which H.pylori  causes cancer  may involve chronic inflammation or  direct action  of  some  of  it’s  virulence  factors,   for example,  CagA  has also  been implicated in carcinogenesis.  While parasitic infections strongly associated with cancer  include  Schistosoma  haematobium  (squamous cell carcinoma of the bladder)  and  the  liver  flukes,  opisthorclus viverrini  and  clonorchis sinensis (choloangio carcinoma.)

With another avenue causing cancer….  being virus  called  oncoviruses,   these  include  human  papillomavirus (cervical carcinoma), Epstein – Barr virus (B-Cell Lymphoproliferative disease and nasopharyogeal carcinoma).  While  Kaposi’s  Sarcoma  herpes virus  can  induce  Kaposi’s  Sarcoma  and the primary  effusion  lymphoma  and  the  Human  T-cell  leukemia  virus -1 (T-cell Leukemia.)

Infections by some hepatitis viruses,  especially hepatitis B  and  C virus that can induce a chronic viral infection. That leads to liver cancer in about 1 in 200 people infected with hepatitis B  (more in Asia,  fewer in N. America each year) and about  1 in 45  people infected  with hepatitis C.  Those people  with chronic hepatitis B infections are more than 200 times likely to develop liver cancer than uninfected people.

Staying Active Really Matters

After a hard winter of  working  on this website 16 hour daily.                            I noticed this spring my clothes was fitting tight and not so right.             When you start having  relatives and  friends  saying  things  like                that  midsection  can’t  be  healthy  for  you  ~  you  start  thinking             about what being really over weight does for you and the benefits                    of  exercise on a regular basis.

What we don’t know about  fat cells can kill us… like a tumor…                  when you consume more calories than you burn. Fat cells in your             body swell to  as much as six times their minimum size  and  begin                   to  multiply   from  40 Billion  in  an  average  adult  to  100 Billion.       Simply put,  fat that is not used  for  fuel immediately is stored  for             later use and can create havoc on your body.

To the endth  degree,  if  your consuming high calorie meals and                 NOT  burning very many calories . Your fat cells swell and multiply resulting in weight gain.  So carrying a  few extra pounds  may also       wreak havoc  of  your “hormone balance,”  leading  to  a  variety  of    illnesses and health risks.

Estrogen,  the  classified   “female hormone”   is  a  fast  storing           hormone,  that is also,  naturally present in small amounts within              men as well.  Although necessary,  within  men  while regulating a       healthy libido,  improved  brain  function (especially memory) and   protecting  the  heart.  When  it  is  to  high  testosterone  levels  are       reduced  and  men experience fatigue,  muscle tone loss,  decreased        sexual  function and in some cases enlarged prostate.

Do  fat cells disappear or shrink when you lose weight?  Why do               men tend to gain weight  in  their  bellies?  The  answer  to  the  first    question is “no!”   No  fat  cells  only  slighty  decrease  and  the cells      become less metabolically active.  While  remaining  in  your  body,    waiting for the next assault on a donut so they can expand again.

Someone who has maintained a normal body weight their whole                 life have an easier time staying  fit.  Than  someone  whose  fat  cells         have swelled uncontrollably and multiplied in the past.  Aside  from             the way you feel when you’re packing a few extra pounds, there are          also internal complications that result  from morbid obesity.

Fat tissue attract  immune system cells called macrophages that     promotes chronic inflammation into your body.  So by carrying extra     weight…. your body also produces an immune response similar to the  reaction your body exhibits when you develops the flu or injury.  That inflammation is intended to  fight infection,  therefore, your body will         see that extra  fat calories  from a greasy pizza as an invasion.

Men typically…. carry extra weight in their midsection,  thereby,                   if  you gain weight most of  it will go directly to your belly  first  (with women on the other hand  it goes to the hips or thighs.)  Belly  fat  will   increase the likelihood of  bad cholesterol (LDL), triggers  extra  fat in         the blood stream, raises blood pressure  and  blood sugar levels.

Furthermore,  abdominal  fat  tends to be deeper  inside the body,               as opposed to hip  or  thigh area  fat  which is directly stored under the       skin.  Fat cells  within the abdomen  are metabolically more active than        fat cells located in other areas, which lead to diabetes, coronary artery disease, stroke  and  certain cancers because of estrogen imbalance.

Abdominal  fat cells may also effect the healthy  function of  the liver. Unfortunately there is no way  to target weight loss  in one specific area         of  the  body.   So in order to lose your spare tire  you must exercise your entire body. The good news with regular exercise usually the midsection      is the  fastest to come off….

When you exercise your body releases chemicals called endorphins       that will interact… with the receptors in your brain… that reduces your perception of  pain.  Endorphins  also  trigger a positive  feeling  in  your body that  follows a workout often described as “euphoric .”  That is also accompanied  by a positive  and  energizing outlook on life.  Endorphins    are manufactured in your brain, the spinal cord,  and  many other parts      of  your body that releases neurotransmitters.

However,  once you commit to losing the extra poundage.  Pay close attention  ~  listen  to  your  body…. abdominal swellingbelly bloating, and  distended  tummies  after vigorous workouts.  Can be both common place and discouraging, however, not necessarily concerning. When you first engage in vigorous exercise,  your  body interprets it as trauma and may retain water as a precautionary measure.

One of  the most common causes of  Belly Bloating which at first seems     self ~ defeating because you’re losing the weight but keeping the tummy. Because your body  is retaining water  your sweating more than normal     as a result…. of  an imbalance  in the amount of  salt in your blood.  Also when you first engage in vigorous exercise, blood moves away  from the intestines;  out to the extremities and impairs the digestive system.

To avoid these issues  and help your progress moving  forward always     eat a  full meal at least two hours  before working out allowing your  food   to properly digest. Including mostly complex carbohydrates, some protein eating slowly.  While avoiding caffeine,  aspirin,  high does vitamin C with carbonated drinks and  foods with high amounts of  fiber, sugars and  fats being complete no – no’s.

Regular Exercise….  has proven to

—  Feelings of  Well Being

 Strengthen Your Heart

—  Lower Blood Pressure

— Reduce LDL Cholesterol

— Reduce Anxiety & Stress

— Ward  off  Depression

—  Boost Self  – Esteem

—  Improve Sleep Habits

— Increase Energy Levels

— Improve Muscle Tone

— Improve Strength & Stamina

— Strengthen and Build Bones

Alkaline State… STOPS Cancer ??

Being  Solitarius  is a website more in line to prevent instead                              of  treat  cancer.  There  is  plenty  of  research  showing  the  link          between acidic pH and cancer thriving in an acidic environment.         Cancer  cells  make your body  even more acidic  as  they produce              lactic acid.  So  if  you have cancer,  your  pH levels  are  low  and                   your body is too acidic.   Read: Clean by Dr.  Alejandro Junger

Cancer  doesn’t  survive  in  a  normal alkaline environment…                      so  making  your body  more alkaline  is vital  in anybody’s battle           against cancer. The majority of  foods and drinks we consume are         acidic,  such as meat,  grains,  sugar,  with colas other soft drinks            being  highly  acidic.  Actually too much acidity  is an underlying           factor in many degenerative diseases (diabetes, arthritis and also Fibromyalgia to name a few.)

Back in time, Otto Warburg researcher at the Kaiser Wilhelm          Institute led a  discovery that  flavins  and the  nicotinamide  were                 the active groups  of  the hydrogen ~ transforming enzymes.  This,      together with the iron ~ oxygenase  discovered  earlier,  had  given                    a complete account of  the  oxidation  and  reductions  in the living         world.

While showing that cancer cells can live  and develope,  even in                  the absence  of  oxygen.  For this discovery of  the nature  and  mode               of  action of  the  respiratory enzyme.  That cancer cells  can’t live in                an  Alkaline state… the Noble Prize was awarded to him in 1931 and          until this day nobody has challenge the validity of  his theory.

So when you think  alkaline state  and  The pH Miracle  only one           STOP is necessary to learn the concept.  Therefore  that  one stop shop        being,  The pH Miracle Center in Valley Center, California and asking        Dr. Robert O. Young  or  his wife Shelley  whom work in unison. There  powerful philosophy of keeping a alkaline lifestyle of nutrition, while reprograming clients has helped  Kris Carr and  Mark Lichty amongst others that I’m sure about.      The Chris Wark Story!!!

Secrets of the Supercentenarians

With the death of Jiroemon Kimura, born August 26, 1896 whom died Wednesday June 12, 2013 and one of only 70 verified supercentenarians living past  110 years old.  Some might think Bernando Lapallo of  Mesa, Arizona  with the title of  oldest living man in the world.  However,  that claim may  fall to James McCoubrey,  born September 13, 1901  living in Walnut Creek, California in the San Francisco Bay Area.

However, neither men has the claim as the oldest livng person in the   world with that honor  going to another Japanese.  Misao Okawa born March 5,  1898  making  her  115  years old  is  labeled  the  oldest  living person  and  officially  recognized  by  Guinness World Records  as  the oldest  on  February 27, 2013  while  still  living  in  a  nursing  home  in Higashisumiyoshi – Ku, Osaka in Japan  (Secrets of the Japanese.)

What sets Bernando  Lapallo apart (born August 17, 1901 or 1910)                is his amazing vitality  with longevity.  Bernando who is the author of        the book: Age Less/Live More  was  allegedly  born in Brazil and move      with his  family to New York at age  five where he has lived most of his        life  a Yankee Baseball  fan  while  working  as  a  chef  on cruise ships     until he retired at age 57.

In Bernando  later  years  he  moved  to Mesa,  Arizona  with  some                  of his ageless tips left to him  from his father whom passed  at 98 years.         Some of the tips Bernando states what he does religiously are drinking Sassafras  and  Cinnamom Tea daily every morning before he takes his             2 mile walk. With a  few of his hobbies being reading, playing checkers       and  working crossword puzzles to keep his mind sharp.

While being  a staunch believer of  eating properly  and  not eating          fast  food or overeating. Prolong Stress & Cancer Risk

According to the National Cancer Institute: current information                  on the possible association between stress and cancer, at least three        areas of  investigation are being explored?

Virus – related tumors:  an  indirect relationship between certain             types of virus -related tumors (Kaposi Sarcoma, Burkett Lymphoma,         and cancer of  the liver)  and stress has been established. The indirect  results  from  the  facts  some cancers are triggered by a process that involves certain precursor infections (such  as  herpes  and hepatitis)   known to be exacerbated by stress and a weaken immune system.

Cell Processes:  the body’s natural neuroendocrine responses has           been shown to alter important cell processes that protect against the formation  of  cancer,   such  as  cell repair  and  the  regulation of  cell growth.  Age related deficits  in protein synthesis  and  responsiveness             of  cells  to  stress,  decrease  cell – cell  communication  and  inefficient     signal transduction may render old cells less able to withstand stress.

Tumor  Growth  and  Spread:  the  precise  biological  mechanisms  underlying the influence of  stress in the growth  and spread of  cancer.      Are not yet understood, however, a link between the effects of stress on      the  immune  system  and  the  growth  of  some  tumors  has  been  well documented. A recent study at the University of  Texas,  M.D. Anderson Cancer Center  in  Houston  indicates  that  stress  hormones, especially  norepinephrine  and  epinephrine  can contribute to tumor progression          in patients with ovarian cancer.    Maitake Mushroom

Other  Factors  in  the  Effect  of  Stress  on  the  Immune  System!!!!!       They are numerous and can exacerbate the negative influence of  stress       on  the  immune  system.  Age,  nutrition,  gender  (estrogen),  ethnicity,     and  psychosocial  characteristic of  the individual  can affect white cell circulation  in  response  to  stressors.  Depression,  lack  of  support, or  hostility can cause altered immune cell response to acute stress.

Regardless  to  it’s  origin,  psychological  stress  always  leads  to  a   change in white blood cell count at varying degrees depending upon the   type and duration of  the stressor.  Current  research  shows that longer  lasting stressors  causes  a reduction of  immune  function  and  increase over vulnerability to disease.  Numerous studies  document  the immune system suppressors caused by severe stressors can be detrimental.

Such stressor like martial strife,  bereavement,  long term caregiving,    living in unfavorable conditions,  and the reaction to life changing events (floods,  earthquakes,   fires,  tornadoes  and  hurricanes.)   Amongst  the  protective factors physical fitness appears to be a very important positive   mediator  of  white  blood  cell  activity  in  the  presence  of  psychological stressors….

This all said,  I think it would be interesting  to compare cancer rates        for the most stressful cities in the United States. Based upon divorce rates, commute time, unemployment rate, both violent  and property  crime also alcohol  consumption  and  those whom smoke.  Seeing  firsthand  “if ” this theory holds true under pressure. While also comparing the cities scoring highest in the  fitness index,  Top Vegan Friendly  least ~ most polluted      and State Cancer Rates  by types of  cancer.

Overcoming Depression

In 2006,  when I went through terminal illness with my  father it               was the first time in my life going through severe depression. For me          like others dealing  with depression before  while stating afterwards.             It was the worse experience of  my life  there never  was a truer word  spoken. Depression is like falling in a never ending hole trying to get                out of  it and  falling into it deeper.

Especially with everyone around you thinking your not right and        really  Not  understanding  what  you’re going through.  I was really  fortunate in hindsight having a  family physician that knew me well. Starting me  off  on the right anti-depressant  for my body chemistry          and  personality.  He told me  when it comes  to  anti- depressants it         helps to hit the mark the  first time.

Another thing I learned through this experience is — when your           having  a  tough  go  at  it  look  around.  At  the  same time  another  associate in my work place  was going through  a similar situation.             The  difference  was  his  doctor  prescribed  a  3rd  0r  4th  different            type never really getting it right,  therefore,  this person ended – up     dealing with his depression going to Dr. Terry Chappell in Bluffton,           Ohio straightening his imbalance naturally.

So  What  Really  Is  Depression:   one rarely knows unless you                have experience  dealing with it yourself  making it tough to treat.       Looking back today on my situation  which to this point in my life              with never having a problem being happy. Mine stemmed  from a           deeply ridden anxiety of not knowing how bad it would get before                 the cancer would take him. I always viewed my  father active and             when that was taken anxiety went awry in my life.

Depression isn’t really common with 1 in 6 of us in our lifetime                  that will  experience this dis-ease in our life.  When you experience              mild depression — you may  feel  low,  sadness  or  fed up, however,             with severe depression, it’s a living hell leaving you unable to cope             with daily activity such as going to lectures  or  talking to a  friend            with the  feeling they would careless.

Depression can be triggered  by a distressing relationship gone       horrible, bereavement or trauma.  It can result  from prolong stress                or physical illness affecting you emotionally. Other possibilities are         early life experiences,  genetic tendencies  and  close  family history        which some don’t understand in today’s America.

Medical research  has  shown  that  chemical changes take place                   in  the  brain  when  someone  is  depressed  that  needs  adjustment.      Within  my  experience:  I  had  my  normal  sleep  pattern  disrupted            with sleeping only  3 hours  per night  pondering  what  was  next  on            the  emotional  roller  coaster  ride which is called cancer treatment.        This had  disturbed my melatonin, serotonin levels and when I came through this period in my life had a vision?

NOW  believing with every dark cloud which happens in your life                for reason has a silver lining.  I ended up  with  a vision  from  above  Solitarius being a centralized hub of  cancer research.  A happy place visitants can come visit and read 15 minute blog post showcasing the options available covering all angles/ finding an “Answer to Cancer”       when handed a label.  It’s tough luck  you have 6 months  to one year            we have to let the cancer run it’s course.
