In his book: When The Body Says NO, Dr. Gabor Mate M.D., surmises it this way. There are three distinct types of people in this world, Type A Individuals are seen as robust, angry, tense, fast, aggressive, in – control and more prone to heart disease. Whereas Type B represent the balanced, moderate human being who can feel and express emotions without being driven and losing themselves in uncontrolled emotional out burst.
On The Other Hand: Type C individuals may resemble Type B, since both may appear easy going and pleasant, however, Type B will easily express anger, fear, sadness and other emotions. Type C individuals suppresses or regress negatively charged emotion while struggling to maintain a strong and happy façade.
Cancer patients…. to a significantly statistically degree are more likely to demonstrate the following traits: the element of denial and repression of anger and of other negative emotions, and the external appearance of a “nice” or “good” person with a suppression of any reaction that might offend another person thereby avoiding conflict.
While it can not be said any personality trait causes cancer, certain personality features definitely increases the risk because they generate physiological stress. Repression with the inability to say No and a lack of awareness of one’s anger, makes it much more likely for a person to find themselves in a situation where there emotions are ignored, unexpressed and gentleness exploited.
Physiological stress, is the link between personality traits and dis-ease. Certain traits — otherwise known as coping styles — magnify the “risk of illness” by increasing the likelihood of “chronic stress.” Common to them all — is a diminished capacity for any, all emotional communication. Emotional experiences are translated into potentially damaging biological events.
When human beings are prevented from learning how to express their true feelings effectively. That learning occurs — or fails to occur during childhood. Thereby, the way in which people are force to grow up will shape their relationships with their own body, psyche and other people. This is an important distinction between an inherent response and characteristic to the environment that ensures our survival.
As people grow older, others will resent them and that person will be disliked for what is a desperate response for emotional deprivation. When ask the following question: as a child, you felt sad, upset or angry; was there anyone you could talk to ~ even when what triggered it was the cause of that negative emotion? Dr. Mate stated, in the quarter century of practicing medicine he never heard anyone with cancer respond with “yes” to that question.

The information in this blog post originates from the Book, When The Body Says NOby Dr. Gabor Mate, M.D. Medicine today has yet to assimilate an important distinction and a lesson from Einstein’s Theory 0f Relativity. That being a position the observer will influence the phenomenon being observed and affect the result of the observation.
With that all said, the more ‘specialized doctors’ become today, the more they know about just a certain body part 0r 0rgan; the less they will tend to understand the human being in whom that part or organ resides. They will be least apt to answer a question for fear of reprisal or fear of being wrong.
Dualism…. is when we as individuals has a hard time saying NO, physiologically emotions are in themselves electrical, chemical and hormonal discharges of the human nervous system. Emotions affect, influence and are influenced by ~ the functioning of our major organs. The integrity 0f our immune defenses, when emotions are repressed this inhibitions disarms the body defenses against illness.
In numerous studies 0f cancer…. the most consistently identified risk factor is the inability to express emotions, particularly the feeling associated with anger. The repression of anger is not an abstract trait 0f emotion that leads to dis-ease and it is a major risk factor because it increases physiological stress on the organism. Therefore, the person who doesn’t feel or express “negative” emotion will feel isolated even around friends because their real self is being hidden.
The sense of hopelessness follows ‘the chronic inability’ to be true to oneself in the deepest levels and that hopelessness leads to feelings 0f helplessness. Since nothing one can do is perceived as making any difference and you feel subordinate, therefore, cancer is apt to occur in those with a helplessness ~ prone personality and that sense 0f helpless frustration.
This influence 0f that psychological risk factor can be seen in about 80% 0f all cancer, is so poignantly illustrated in the life history0f Gilda Radner. Gilda Radner’s maternal aunt and two cousins died 0f ovarian cancer, and her mother successfully treated for breast cancer. While for most women whom develop ovarian cancer about 8 percent carry one 0f the genetic mutations known to increase risk.
Depending upon which strand 0f DNA involved those with this mutation in one gene, could have a 63 percent risk 0f developing cancer by age seventy and for those women whose mutation is in the other gene; have a 27 percent risk of ovarian cancer by the age seventy five. Also women without the mutation but who have a first degree relative (mother, sister or daughter) with ovarian cancer the risk is only 5 percent.
In the last paragraph we see that genes in themselves do not tell the whole story. Gilda Radner sparkled with manic energy and a zest for experience, however, carried psychological burdens 0f a highly stressful and self – negating life. This slim star of Saturday Night Live was bulimic and more than likely that affected her hormonal balance. With a relationship with her mother intensely negative, marked by competition for her father’s attention.
All her adult life Gilda, a self confessed workaholic who let work, stress and pressure dictate her lifestyle, who out of sheer desperation, promiscuously sought love, acceptance until she met, and married Gene Wilder. To a great extent left the men in her life controlled her every move by making herself into something they preferred. Never truly being herself she found it impossible to speak emotional truth.
Gilda was always more interested in satisfying others needs more than with her own need to be herself. While on a youthful trip to Paris, France threw herself out into traffic in a dramatic suicidal gesture and was surprised that a friend saved her. Only close to her death did Gilda realize you can’t be all things to all people & must take care of yourself before you can take care of others. Gilda’s Club
Within Solitarius: My Main Goal has been to always supply the visitant with the best information that is on the world wide web. Regardless and in the top tag Childhood Cancer includes links for some of the best facilities in the United States. Along with other links where you can grab n’ go the information in a hurry?
The Key according to Dr. Changxian Shen, PhD., whom is senior research associate at the center, and Dr. Peter Houghton PhD., who is the centers director. Lies in the checkpoints that encourage cells to repair themselves before they replicate their DNA. Many researchers believe cancer cells may flourish when these checkpoints are skipped or inhibited, as the mutated cells survive and rapidly reproduce.
Prior studies had shown that the DNA damage check point protein ATM, was ‘very low’ in most pediatric solid tumor cases. There are many different issues contributing to this phenomenon, first and foremost, are the over production of microRNAs reducing the amount of ATM that is created, which leads to cells circumventing the damage check point when this does happen. Cells that have mutated DNA are able to reproduce without going through the repair process that ATM is suppose to help SPARK.
Indeed Dr. Houghton, also turns his attention to the way in which this discovery can assist in creating more effective treatment options. These results help us to understand, not only, the early genesis of some tumors, but also, “why” so many solid tumors are sensitive to drugs and ionizing radiation that damage DNA.
This also help explain “why” in children not cured by these treatments. resistance to therapy arises ~ the rapid rate of mutation due to suppression of ATM. Potentially the rate of mutations that lead to drug or radiation resistance could be slowed by targeting the mTOR pathway [ which is responsible for the over production of microRNAs ]. Like me…. you don’t have to fully understand this research, however, The Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio would be a great starting point in your search for the answer for cancer.
Also Children’s Cancer Recovery Foundation supports families via numerous programs that are aimed at helping parents. Keep a roof over their children’s heads despite surmounting medical bills and providing gift’s to kids who are going through the stressful process of fighting their type of cancer. Ultimately, the goal of the program is to create the least stressful environment, so kids and love ones can focus their energy on healing and overcoming the threat cancer poses.
How the immune system works? for many of us, the immune system seems a bit of a mystery. The immune system is large and complex while performing a wide variety of functions: scientist and researchers alike constantly study the immune system. While these researchers are always Making NEW discoveries, the better everybody understands this complex and elaborate response of the human body, the better prepared you are at preventing disease.
Did you know that our skin is part of the immune system and is also sometimes referred to as another organ. Our skin is our first line of defense, acting as a ‘physical barrier,’ to all the things in the world that can invade our bodies and make us sick, such as bacteria and viruses. Also, the white blood cells are another vital part of our immune system, as well as, a lesser known part ~ the hormones (like vitamin D) and the cytokines that helps the cells communicate and initiate a response to any foreign invaders into the body.
Therefore, when your immune system isn’t balanced, not properly functioning is often when health problems arises. Inflammation is also a component of the immune system considered a response to stress or trauma. When you experience inflammation, it’s an indicator that the immune system is doing it’s job; by getting white blood cells activated. Initially, inflammation is a good thing, however, the longer it persist, it can be associated with chronic disease.
Also, Your health can affect your immune system and vice versa, including the amount and type of medications we may take for minor or major health conditions. For example: it’s important to keep your immune system going strong, not only, before diseases like cancer has it’s chance of doing it’s ravage to your body, but also, after chemo has been administered…. it’s important to build your immune system back again to withstand the onslaught of carcinogens that was introduced into your body.
Detailing healthy stress patterns: one must consider the adaptive stress response that helps the body adapt to the stress it encounters. Something our ancestors adaptive to well, due to the lack of processed foods in their diets. Twenty first century lifestyle takes and drives the adaptive stress response toward over reactive inflammation, while also being over weight with poor health and premature aging.
Actually scientist believe…. that an excessive laundry list might be needed to prevent a chronic, low level, full body inflammation that is contributing to the aging process by eroding cell’s ability to maintain themselves. Chronic inflammation, thereby, causes cells in our body to grow old before their time. Therefore, the key to success is to trigger the adaptive stress response with the right type and number of calories.
With certain bioactive compounds (polyphenols), while adding fiber, correcting the good – to – bad fat ratio and restricting calories that can alter gene expression and reduce the biomarkers of inflammation, aging and disease. Between 50 – and – 75 million Americans have the metabolic syndrome X defined by excessive abdominal obesity, high triglycerides or cholesterol, elevated blood pressure and abnormal insulin/glucose level.
Cancer for a long time was in a category of it’s own, as far back as the late 19th century, scientist noticed inflammation in the presence of certain cancers. While believing that inflammation turn pre – malignant cells into malignancy. Scientist suspect the tumor essentially borrows the body’s own inflammatory process to aid and a bet this transition, found that mice without the ability to engineer the ability to process a particular inflammatory messenger called tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-a), because it kills cancer cells (never developed cancer.)
TNF-a is an inflammatory messenger made by macrophages, a type of white blood cell that’s quite prevalent in fat tissue. In people whom are lean, macrophages make up only 5 to 10 percent of fat tissue, while they account for up to 60 percent of all cells in the fat deposits of people who are over weight or obese.
One study found that compared to those of normal weight, those who are obese release more than seven times as much TNF-a from their fat tissue. TNF-a is associated with insulin resistance, diabetes, also hardening of the arteries, congestive heart failure and some cancers. Biomarkers of aging are things that make us feel old…. one way to fight this is through flight and by consuming a balanced diet of nutritionally advanced foods with moderate exercise while staying positive about your outlook on life.
This blogs shouldn’t take away anything from the blog post within blog roll. In September, I’ll attempt to bring forth the information that I consider redeemable providing cause n’ effects and how it prevents cancer in the first place. However, it’s also important to realize that you will have to do your own research…. to fully understand the jest 0f each blog post which should take you a half hour to read, checkout and bookmark the links you find interesting.
What does a stubbed toe or splinter in a finger have to do with Alzheimer or succumbing to cancer. As scientist scurry and delve deeper, they’re starting to see a link to an age old “defense mechanism” called, chronic inflammation ~ the same process that turns the tissue around a splinter ‘RED’ and causes swelling in an injured toe. So with this really being the case can inflammation cause cancer?
While causing a injury to fend – off bacteria, viruses, parasites and infections. The moment a potentially deadly microbe slips into the body, inflammation marshalls, an attack that lays waste to both invader and any damage tissue it may have infected. Every once in a while, however, this feverish production doesn’t shut down and inflammation becomes chronic.
When this happens the body turns on itself and in recent years this chronic inflammation has become a ‘HOT’ topic amongst researchers. Research shows that chronic inflammation does harm in many ways; it can destabilize cholesterol deposits in the coronary arteries, potentially leading to strokes or heart attacks. Also it chews up – nerve cells in the brain of Alzheimer patients and fosters proliferation of abnormal cells turning them cancerous.
To better understand, it helps to know a little about what happens when the body is subjected to trauma or injury. As soon as that splinter slices it’s path into your finger, sentinel cells stationed throughout the body alerts the immune system; of the presence of bacteria that may have come along for the ride. Some of those cells, called mast cells, release a chemical called “histamine” make nearby capillaries leaky.
This allows small amounts of plasma to pour out, slowing down the invading bacteria and prepares other faraway immune defenders to rush to the scene of the injury. Mean while another group of sentinels, called macrophages, begin a counter attack and releases cytokines which signal for reinforcements. Soon, wave – after – wave of immune cells flood the site, destroying pathogens and damage tissue alike.
NOT long ago, doctors thought heart attacks were results of a molecule called LDL, the so called, ‘bad cholesterol’ providing the raw material for fatty deposits; that slowly build up inside major coronary arteries causing blockage. So clearly, anyone with high LDL cholesterol levels where prone and at a greater risk for developing heart disease. Although, nearly half of all heart attacks occur in people with normal levels.
Inflammation harms the heart when levels of CRP reach 3mg/L or higher; these amounts triple the rate of heart disease. By contrast folks with extremely low levels of CRP, less than o.5mg/L rarely have heart attacks. Dr. Ridker also says, “cholesterol deposits, high blood pressure, smoking will all contribute to the development of under lying plaques.”
What inflammation seems to contribute is in the propensity of those plaques to rupture and cause heart attacks. At the very least, high CRP levels might tip the balance in favor of aspirins and statins known to lower inflammation. As well as metaformim that works to dampen inflammatory response in diabetics.
Thereby, what researchers found to hold true about diabetics are a complex inter-play amongst inflammation, insulin and fat. Either in the diet or – in large folds under the skin ( fat cells behave a lot like immune cells ~ spewing out inflammatory cytokines particularly as you gain weight when you age.)
Now a days researchers are exploring the possibilities mutations and inflammation, are a mutually reinforcing process that is left unchecked can transform normal cells into tumor cells. Therefore, how might this happen? Some of the most potent weapons produced by macrophages and inflammatory cells are the so – called oxygen free radicals. These molecules devastate any thing that crosses their path…. particularly DNA.
It’s a glancing blow: damaging…. but doesn’t destroy a cell that could lead to a ‘genetic mutation’ that allows it to keep growing and dividing. To the immune system, this abnormal growth looks very much like a wound that needs to be fixed and when the immune cells get called in, they bring with it growth factor, that says heal, heal, heal. However, with damage DNA involved it might cause it to grow and divide abnormally while transforming into cancer.
Another interesting aspect ofchronic inflammation is that other researchers have discovered, glial cells can produce inflammatory cytokines; that call additional immune cells into action. These glial cells, sole purpose is to nourish and communicate with the neurons of the brain. Thereby, when you get a chronic activation which is a process seemingly out of control…. it than does result in a chronic inflammatory state.
Also in 1996, the Journal of the American Medical Association published the results 0f a multi – centered, double blind, randomized placebo controlled cancer trial base on 20ug/day selenium or placebo to 1,312 patients over a mean period of 4.5 years. The study reported a 50% decrease in total cancer incidence, as well as, a 63% reduction in prostate cancer, 58% reduction in colorectal cancer and a 48% reduction in lung cancer.
Selenium also promotes the activity 0f P53 protein, which is 0ften called, “the guardian 0f the genome.” Well over half 0f all cancers have defective P53 protein. When DNA is damaged, P53 either stimulates DNA repair or causes cells to self destruct (apoptosis) if the DNA damage is irreparable. The thioredoxin reductase system promote P53 induction 0f DNA repair enzymes, therefore, cells exposed to selenomethionie have shown a 3 — fold increase in P53 activity.
Before leaving August and entering into my September Blog Post which will include information about how to avoid cancer and more information about options to cancer treatment while tying into it’s all together. Let’s add a little about immune response and the important aspects that keeps it strong to help free it from stress and disease. On the whole your immune system does a remarkable job defending you against disease causing microorganisms.
However, that doesn’t mean the effects of lifestyle on the immune system aren’t intriquing and shouldn’t be studied. Quite the contrary, researchers are exploring the effects of diet, exercise, psychological stress, age and other factors on the immune response. Be skeptical: many products on store shelves claim to boost or support immunity, however, concepts of boosting immunity actually makes little sense.
Scientifically, attempting to boost cells of the immune system is complicated, because there are so many different kinds of cells in the immune system that respond to so many different microbes in so many different ways. So which cells should you boost and to what number? So far, scientists do not know that answer! Researchers are trying to explore the effects of a variety of factors — from the foods we consume to exercise and stress on immunity.
Although what is known is that the aging process somehow leads to a reduction of immune response capability. Thereby, which in turn contribute to infections, inflammatory diseases and cancer. While some people age healthier than others, no one knows for sure ‘why’ this happens. Some scientists believe it correlates with a decrease in T-cells possibly from atrophy producing fewer T – cells to fight off infections.
Yet other researchers are looking at the connection between lack of nutrition and immunity. A elderly person deficient in some of the essential vitamins and trace minerals is considered micro-nutrient mal nutritious and this can be common in the elderly. Older people tend to eat less and often have less variety in their diet…. while a typical Standard American Diet (SAD) is disastrous to their health.
One important question that always arises…. is whether dietary supplements are beneficial to maintain a healthy immune system. The elderly, should always be open to discuss this with a physician well – versed in geriatric nutrition. There is some evidence various micro nutrient deficiencies of zinc, selenium, iron, copper, folic acid and vitamin A, B6, C, E — will alter immune response.
The hardest feeling during life is riding a bicycle for your health and have others tell you I take baby aspirin in place of all that. My response to that does baby aspirin limber your hips enough to hit a golf ball over 300 yards at 50+ years of age. While others tell you, “I would ride a bike but the hardest part of that is just starting.”
As I was told, it got me thinking about “if ” you think starting is tough, try living with someone terminally ill. The thing I appreciated in the beginning, during ~ after math is the blessing you gain. The appreciation of a breath…. the final breath taken in the end. Turning out to be so precious and sadness caused when you see it happen.
If a person thinks it’s hard starting exercise or that matter do anything, what about the ramification of that ‘fatal last breath.’ With that moment it will get you thinking about life, how important it is to keep good people around you. What is life anyhow: life today in America is the American Dream that went toward social injustice, in a socialistic mainstream of political correctness.
We’re a people of a nation grouping up into cliques for safety and also protecting each other’s backside from a state of duress with everybody gaining weary. It’s the government versus non– government people, it’s married folk versus single people, night shift versus day shift in shops, management versus non – management, while automated not to work without communication.
Those on the business side…. feeling better about themselves with entitlement, the halves versus the halve not’s. Unless you have your health… what’s wealth when you can’t enjoy your health. Life is short can we have it all… all to often people work for the big house and forget to ‘spend time’ in the home (It’s STRESS.)
That all told with the risk of sounding preachy, the blogs of June through August…. details a lot toward preventing end stage cancer. What I would like doing in this final blog post of August is high light some of these blog post for you…. so you won’t have to scroll to see my favorites.
In A Digestive Imbalance states the importance of probiotics and fermented foods, while Solitarius Is About Prevention: details the three preventive tactics of Specialist Dr. Samuel Epstein and also the following blog Is Chemotherapy The Answer tells about a specific alternative to the trials and tribulations of chemotherapy.
Than in A Super Duper Immune System: it’s content is eliminating the virtues of sugar, salt and fat while putting vital nutrients into your body. Thereby, Sacred Geometry which is one of my favorites details healing through the pressure points of the theta healing system of the mind, ‘if ‘ your mind thinks your healthy you will be healthy indeed.
Functional Medicine: is about metabolism and to much insulin and in The Biology 0f Stress you may want to manage stress levels through the tips offer up to you. While Playing It Cancer Smart…. tells of the certain types of calories, biochemical compounds and devastation that chronic inflammation can play on your body.
In the Glycogen Cancer Connection: which details the Ketogenic Diet and estrogen imbalance, which is much like elevated testosterone from the major league baseball players and Biogenesis of Anti-aging Clinic Investigation (elevated testosterone can cause testicular cancer that has been shown in research to cause cancer…. so why dumb chance it.)
Therefore in the blog post: Know Your Choices the content involved details how to…. strengthen a weaken immune system. While also the blog post If Someone Has His Druthers: the Ketogenic Diet has helped others. All for the benefit of Thinking Outside The Box for awareness and prevention of A Deadly Cancer. Eating vegetables and fruits, while leaning toward fermented foods and avoiding sugar, salt and fats. With the different types of cancer being exposed in Preventing Cancer and Cancer Prevention (with the archives offering plenty more).
Why Feel Disconnected: the objective of this website is to provide understanding, stand under from the serious dis-ease such as cancer. While understanding what’s happening within yourself…. stand under so the mind heals cancer through awareness. Impossible, may be not – with the meaning of life taking inspiration, courage and strength to move forward and conquer your inner – self.
As a human race: we’re often herded like sheep being programmed into a way of thought. While looking for something we can believe in and to love. If we can’t love itor control it we fear it and it’s fear that brings ‘the dis-ease’ under stress…. so it ‘can not’ provide the body capacity to heal. Within Faith Healing: faith relieves the body of fear putting it into a State of Healing.
John Hughes: Wicklow, Ireland.
The opposite emotion of Love is Fear and Fear Blocks Love n’ Light. When I think of this I think of my blog post about Cancer Survivors and Becoming A Cancer Survivor. Each survivorship story shows how each patient keeps a positive mental outlook in perspective of life. Kris Carr exemplifies this while battling epitheloid hemagioendothelioma, as she keeps her spirits high while tapping resources that make the dis-ease manageable as she pounds green smoothies.
I’m not all over the place with this website I’m constantly writing about vitamins, minerals, efficient fatty acids and in this blog post probiotics. There is an epidemic of digestive illnesses directly related to the foods we eat and the way we live in America. With 40% of us complaining about digestive issues, accounting for 104.7 million visits a year and according to the Digestive Disease Clearinghouse 69% of all doctor visits are for digestive disorders.
Many people have multipled and even mystery illnesses that aren’t really helped with conventional therapies. Chronic health issues typically begin in the gut and once you’ve rebalanced and healed your digestive tract, anything is possible. In addition to acid and enzymes, your stomach secretes various other substances that help digest ~ absorb nutrients from food consumed in your diet.
One of these substances called ‘intrinsic factor,’ binds to the vitamins allowing it to be absorbed in the intestines. However, if your body doesn’t have enough ‘intrinsic factor’; you won’t be able to properly utilize vitamins. This may cause pernicious anemia with it’s main symptoms being depression, brain fog, nerve system disorders, muscle weakness and fatigue.
Also I learned the hard way this summer that belly fat is linked to changes in your gut ecosystem, termed micro obesity; bad bugs in your intestines produce toxins called, lipopolysaccharides (LPS) which then triggers inflammation and insulin resistance. As I rode my bicycle overcoming my issues with health, I couldn’t believe how much better I felt from May 1st until presently from exercise and eating right in my elimination diet!
Your colon and intestines host their own ecosystem of beneficial microbes. In fact, you have 3 pounds of living microbes in your gut you can’t afford to lose. These microbes make essential nutrients and play a big role in digestion and your immune system. Without these beneficial bacteria you literally could not survive and many health issues will start ‘inflicting nastiness,’ into your life when this ecosystem becomes imbalanced.
You have somewhere between 500 and 1000 type of bacteria in your digestive system, each type has hundred of different strains. These microbes function much like an extra digestive organ, and they act as a major part of your immune system. They protect us from microbial and parasitic diseases, affect whether we are fat or thin, influence our nutritional status and even control how fast we age.
Dr. Metchnikoff also coined the term dysbiosis ( dys-, which means “not” and symbiosis, which means “living together in harmony.” This Dysbiosis weakens our ability to protect ourselves from disease causing microbes. These harmful microbes cause chronic health problems that can go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed, the healing power of probiotics show specific strains can be effective at healing certain conditions.
For instance: the probiotic species Saccharomyces boulardi, has been shown to work at stopping diarrhea. Therefore, knowing antibiotics kill both harmful and friendly bacteria that your digestive system may be so barren of beneficial intestinal flora. That even the best probiotic supplement may not be enough to restore healthy intestinal balance, therefore, a nutritional advisor would be very beneficial.
An Important Fact: your colon is home to trillions of beneficial bacteria. These healthy bacteria produce a wide range of essential vitamins and other nutrients. These specialized nutrients include many short – chain fatty acids, butyric acid, valerate acid, propionic acid, acetic acid and many others. These essential nutrients support the health of your colon cells ( for example: butyric acid has been shown to stop the growth of colon cancer and healed inflamed colon tissue.)
Also it’s important to remember: toxins cause inflammation an a wide range of symptoms throughout your body. Each year the Average American consumes 14 pounds of food additives which over taxes your liver which detoxifies harmful substances. Therefore, it’s important to keep your gut flora balanced and all systems working in unison. Also for a good read, Dr. Elizabeth Lipski with 20 years of experience has written Digestion Connection that gives crucial information.
Having published more than 270 peer reviewed articles and 200 books, being National Cancer Institute and American Cancer Society, Criminal Indifference to Cancer Prevention and Conflicts of Interest. Dr. Epstein provides his outlook: the billions of dollars being spent by taxpayers and chartable groups on treatments, with the exclusion of preventive awareness having caused cancer rates to skyrocket.
With this awful and dreadful disease, NOW affecting nearly one in two men and more than one in three women. Dr. Epstein notes overall cancer mortality rates remain unchanged, and that the more spent on cancer ~ the more cancer occurs. This fixation upon ‘damage control’ instead of prevention is the root cause of the booming cancer rates in the face of billions of dollars spent at eliminating the disease.
Dr. Epstein states, prevention tactics defined by N.C.I. only cover the value of avoiding smoking tobacco and a bad diet. With nothing ever mentioned about safe alternatives to environmental and occupational carcinogens. According to Dr. Epstein, there are three major categories of avoidable causes including:
I would be last to knock it because I have known cancer patients whom chemotherapy has helped. However, for those you find that it has helped you find ten whom dispise the mention of the word C H E M O T H E R A P Y and it’s steadfast usage. My Aunt’s daughter for one whom is watching her mother in terminal condition, presently after taking the roller coaster ride that is chemotherapy (I would be reluctant to allow it flow into my veins) without chemosensitivity testing to determine my biochemical makeup?
Both chemotherapy and radiation can have such ‘toxic effects’ on the human body that they sometimes must “stop the treatment,” before it kills the patient. In the early days of chemotherapy drugs it was noted that some skeptical patients who refused to take chemotherapy usually lived longer, than those patients treated with chemotherapy. Today like than, the results are still debatable and the cancer patients should beware of their options.
Radiation therapy… directed toward the bone containing cancer might virtually seem innocuous, but actually have effects throughout your body. Circulation of blood through areas of ionizing radiation being delivered to bone is able to transport this radiated blood to distant sites. Where it can injure bone marrow production of killer lymphocytes, red blood cells, macrophages and platelets.
Conventional radiation…. to the abdomen and other areas may be followed by permanent injury to the small intestine (diarrhea, pain) and arteriosclerosis of arteries in any field of radiation, loss of appetite and nausea can be seen. Which can sometimes be alleviated with the usage of supplements ( for instance: Ginger Aid tea for nausea and anti oxidants for greater effectiveness of the chemotherapy preparation.)
Associate Professor Graeme Morgan of Australia, the lead researcher in an article titled “The Contribution of Cytotoxic Chemotherapy of 5 year survival in adult malignancies…. showed that survival was less than 3% in adults with cancer. Dr. Ralph Moss Ph.D. relates Conventional Therapy is so toxic and dehumanizing that he fears it more than cancer itself.
Dr. Ralph Moss was employed as a Science Writer for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. In a 1995 interview, Dr. Moss also related chemotherapy was effective in only 2 to 4% of all malignancies ( Hodgkins Disease, Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, Childhood Leukemia, Testicular Cancer and Choriocarcinoma.)
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) warns that the powerful drugs, used in chemotherapy can cause cancer in employees who handle the drugs. If continued to long these drugs can be fatal, damaging white blood cells, killing lymphocytes and red blood cell production. While the patient vulnerable to infections causing death in many patients on chemotherapy and radiation.
The McGill Cancer Center in Canada, one of the most prestigious cancer treatment centers in the world. Did a study of oncologist to determined how they would respond to diagnosis of cancer, 58 out of 64 doctors responded, that chemotherapy programs were unacceptable to them and their families. That survey was taken back in 1997 and I’m sure had it be taken again today the results might be improved!?!
Dr. James Howenstein is a board certified specialist in internal medicine, whom in the last four years used a safe herbal therapy for malignancies…. called Lifeone. In the Second Edition of his book: “A Physicians Guide to National Health Products That Work.” The book showcases safe effective alternatives to chemotherapy and radiation in the treatment of malignancies ~ ~ ~ ~ HEALING CANCER!?!
