What If It’s True?

In 2006,  it’s the lack of this information in this blog post that caused me severe  depression  and  my attempt  to  dig  myself  of  the  dark  hole  that is depression.  Luckily  my physician knew me  from the years of  doctoring me that determined him to prescribe  Lexapro  as the best options  for my bodily make up  and  chemistry. It’s only when you start mixing  and  try matching anti ~ depressants,  where a person dealing with depression becomes a long term issue.

The knowledge of knowing that someone you know has  terminal illness and NOT knowing enough  to know  your making  the right decisions makes one  anxiety  striken  to  say  the  least.  It’s  that  overwhelming  feeling that  causes  depression  and  pounds  your  spirit  into  the  ground.   Unless  you know  your  own  family   physician,  as  well  as,  him  or  her  to  know  you; that  depression  could  become  overwhelming  for you.  As by watching  the person  whom  has  the terminal illness  and  is  a terminal illness wrecking havoc on you emotional state as well.

Therefore since being a loyal observer of  Dr. Richard Becker  for  future reference: on YourHealthT.V.  and  this day  he was interviewing  one of his regular quest. Whom is Dr. Richard Blaylock…. whom is author of  the book Natural Strategies  for Cancer Patients. Which is an important game plan to fight  this dreadful disease through nutrition.  With chemotherapy  and  also radiation providing dangerous consequences as also  explain by Chris Wark in the top tag above.

However  for the  patient receiving  the proper balance  of  healthy  foods, vitamins, minerals  and  selective nutritional supplements.  This  foundation exhibits  a slighty increase  in  the  effectiveness of  their  chemotherapy  and radiation  treatments.  Cancer treatments wages war on the body while also chemotherapy effects the rapidly dividing cells in your body.  Therefore not having the ability to recognize the rapid healthy cells lining your  G.I. Tract and the ability to absorb nutrients.

This action also interferes with your immune systems ability to  fight the cancer. While also compromising your immune system even further. Cancer kills when it becomes evasive and metastasize, while chemotherapy and also radiation has little impact on a tumor;  that invades and spreads.  As long as it stays local…. it doesn’t present a problem. Under these type of  treatments which forces the body to adapt to the conflict and stress it causes.

What this stress produces is chronic inflammation which suppresses the immune system  and  creates a condition that allows  the  cancer to become more  agressive  and  invasive. Chronic inflammation is  the  root  cause  of  about 70%  of  all patients  that  end up with cancer.  Thereby  “bowel flora” become disrupted with  the immune system suppressed. Nutrition Therapy selectively designed  for  treatments….  can help with the side effects while adding a pyschological boosting effect of  your treatment.

While making the situation and condition more manageable: what one needs to consider is a low sugar diet (reducing free radical acticity),  limit soyfoods, moderate red meat  which iron feeds cancer  while avoiding the excitoxins  (MSG,  Aspartame,  H.F.C.S.,   Hydrogenated (safflower, corn, canola  and  sunflower oils),  and  caseinate  protein;  preferring chicken, turkey and pork which is easier for the body to digest.

With some  of  the All Star Supplements  that  should  be  considered  for   their  synergistic  effect:  Curamin  &  Quercetin  for  their  powerful  cancer prohibiton and antioxidant ~ anti – inflammatory effects.  With   another  of  the heavy hitters being Berberine ~ which being a component of  Goldenseal  enhances the immune system and suppresses the growth of a wide variety of tumor cells.  While the synergistic effect of  green tea  and  ellagic acid of  the pomegranate and magnesium can also reduce inflammation.

The most vital of vitamins is vitamin D…  which only can be obtain  from    the sun when it’s 45 degrees… overhead. Meaning during mid ~ day and not the early morning  or  later evening hours. While it does help keep cancer in check… it’s important not to assume that you have adequate amounts. That it’s also a fact 80% of the people in the United States are deficient in this one vital vitamin…. so it’s important to have blood test to determine the amount one should be consuming in supplement form.

Other supplements a cancer patient should be aware of are oil of oregano, probotics,  colostrumgrape complex  (200mg’s 4 times a day) and turmeric mixed  with olive oil  as  a  readily alternative  for cooking oil.  With  the  last mentioned being the King amongst Kings omega – 3’s.  Which is a  powerful inhibitor of  cancer invasion,  growth while also reducing inflammation  and angiogensis. Omega – 3’s  inhibit cancer  from spreading and it’s important also to listen to your inner spirit and better judgement.

French Paradox

Despite french people’s tendency to consume foods high in saturated fats, such as cheese,  foie gras,  butter  and  pastries;  while also drinking copious amounts of bordeaux wines. With light to moderate wine consumption being linked to lower risk of chronic inflammation, heart disease and in rare cases lower risk of cancer possibly due to the anti – aging compound resveratrol.)

Resveratrol  is  the  compound  in  the  grape  skin  that  is  extracted  and acclaimed  for longevity.  Which  also  being  an  antioxidant protecting  the body  from  the ravages of  free radicals  that destroy  the body  and  lowers immunity. Focusing on the sirtuin gene which is usually inactive, however, when activated, Dr. David Sinclair of  Harvard  feels it extends life.

Also it’s a belief:  that the  french paradox is a variation  of  the ketogenic   diet,  that is a medicine  used  primarily  to  treat  the difficult – to – control children who have refractory  epilepsy seizures. The diet  with  it’s  high  fat  content, adequate  protein  sources, low – carb0hydrates mimics aspects of  forcing the body into starvation  burning fats rather than carbohydrates.

Burning fat is a much slower process than burning carbohydrates, which therefore doesn’t make it a good diet to combine with exercise or sports. This Dukan Diet,  known  as  the  Warrior diet,  originated in France  by  a  french doctor Dr. Pierre Dukan. Although  promoting his diet for over 30 years and gaining popularity after publication  of  his book  The Dukan Diet.

While being released in 2000, and having sold more than 10 million copies globally; being released in the United Kingdom in may 2012, and  released in the United States in April 2011.  Some  of  the  aspect  worth looking  at  is  the cheese  in  the  french  diet  may  be  the  reason  for the lower cardiovascular mortality rates. A study published in the journal ~ Medical Hypotheses does examine  the possibility  that  fermentation ~ processes peptides that inhibit enzymes controlling blood pressure and reduce inflammatory markers.

While the adequate protein  in  the diet provides  the  enzymes  needed to carry  out  most  of  the  reactions  involved  in  metabolism,  as well as,  also manipulating DNA in processes such  as  DNA replications,  DNA repair  and  transcription. Some enzymes also act upon other proteins  to add  or remove chemical groups in a process known as post translation modification. About 4,000 reactions are known to catalyze enzymes.

For millenna,  global cultures  have  understood  the power of  fermented foods;  even  if  they didn’t necessarily know the mechanism behind it. While only recently has the mainstream market remembered the long – lost art of fermentation.  Boosting product kefir,  the effervescent yogurt like smoothie and  barrel cured sauerkraut   for  it’s  powerful benefit  of  being a probotic. Several studies indicate probotics, not only, influence our gut flora, but also may even effect our brains ability to handle stress.

Other differences in the French Culture… versus… the American:  is their markets are more convenient corner store location rather than large super market  and  bulk warehouse.  Providing  fresh salads,  cheese  and  breads while being conveniently located down at the corner gives them the ability to walk to get their groceries more frequently.  Meaning  they  might  have the opportunity to buy fresher more often then we do.

While another inherent difference in their culture  versus  the American,      is their average work day lunch break  is  two hours.  Which  is  more  than  doubled ours  and  means  they get more time away  from work  and  stress   to relax. While giving their food time to digest and enjoy themselves which is more healthy than rushing through meals.

With long lunches and ample vacation,  in fact,  it is law  in France that every  full time employee have at least  five weeks  of  vacation.  With stress as the number one culprit for disease, it’s no wonder Americans are a much sicker lot.  Losing  more  days  each  year  for sickness  and  lost  production than  their  French  counter  parts  while  racking up  more  costly  bills  for health care.

Own Your Health

In the book: Own Your Health, Dr. Barrie R. Cassileth Ph. D.,  Chief of  the Integrative Medicine Services at Memorial Sloan  – Kettering Cancer Center in New York City gives her take on the treatment of  cancer. She has worked with cancer patients who combined mainstream medicine  and  alternative approaches.  When  she talks  about cancer,  people  should  listen  and  she also stresses integrative medicine is not the same as alternative medicine.

No one should ever  have any misgivings  or  misconception  of  the  facts  and at Sloan – Kettering, not only, are the tumors treated, but also, the staff takes care of the mind, body and spirit of  the patient and their families. We calm them down,  up lift spirits,  teach them how to keep their bodies strong and help alleviate pain  and  reduce side effects of the disease  and  from the therapies.

The  philoposhy  of  treatment  is  that  strengthening  the  body,  mind          and spirit helps patients battle the disease and use mainstream treatments more  effectively. Patients have told them they could not have gone through their cancer treatments without M.S.K.C.C. services.  When asked about the patients  who  choose  to  eschew  conventional  cancer treatment ~ whether surgery, radiation or chemotherapy ~ in favor of alternative treatments for cancer the response was… they usually don’t do as well.

In two Memorial Sloan – Kettering out patient buildings,  cancer patients and their family members can improve the quality of their lives.  While they and  their love ones are under going cancer treatment.  The array of  choices is abundant: massage,  reflexology,  Shiatsu and several other kinds of body work; spiritual healing, art  and  music therapy, acupuncture, several kinds of meditation, with hypnotherapy, guided imagery and visualization, yoga, tai chi,  Alexander Technique,  nutritional counseling,  information  also  on herbs & supplements and many more healing regimens.

Impatients at Sloan Kettering can also take advantage of complimentary services.  On any given day,  a visitor to an impatient ward might encounter a meditation teacher, music therapists playing a live concert,  or a massage therapists.  Many of  these practitioners  might be working with the patients alone  or alongside  chemotherapy nurses,  the oncologists  or  pain  experts. Dr. Cassileth says, “we have found,  for example,  complimentary therapies  can often reduce the amount of pain medication that patients require.

The services at M.S.K.C.C. also teaches cancer patients who want to learn how to help themselves,  there are ways to eat,  live  and  function that may help  make  the  cancer treatment more effective.”  Each  patient receives a booklet and other material with concrete suggestions, how to use nutrition, herbs, over  the  counter  remedies  and  those complementary  therapies to   “ease the way”  during cancer treatment.

These booklets  and  classes  have helped patients deal with anxiety and stress,  backaches or muscle aches,  cold and  flu,  digestion problems,  also depression,  headaches,  nausea,  chronic  pain  and  sleep  problems.  One booklet contains warnings  about herbal products  and  supplements,  that  have serious toxic effects,  especially  when they  are  combined  with other medications, chemotherapy or radiation therapy.

It’s important for patients to know,  for example,  high doses  of  certain  vitamins can actually feed a tumor,”  says Cassileth. The overall message is that with correct information,  combined  with  mainstream complimentary therapy patients can take responsibility for their own lives.  My suggestion: is that prevention always beats treatment  and  until  you get  that dreadful diagnosis, always keep reading, learning and recognizing cancer awareness because in the future maybe our medical profession won’t be there.

Cancer Prevention in a Nutshell

What Solitarius.org  shouldn’t be preceived as… is me playing doctor, however, it’s  helping patients  find the right doctor. What Solitarius.org   is….  is  prevention,  and  that  is  something everybody  should  strive  to  achieve.  In this blog post unlike the last of February which details most     of  the  highlighted  links  of  the website.  Explaining to the visitants the where abouts  to achieve greater access into this website.

Prevention starts with a strong immune system,  and when you talk  “super duper”  immune systems;  we should think “mega pill theory” to jump  start  that  immune system.  Therefore  lets  take  a look  at a daily   multi vitamin and for me… one should consider a really good multi with     all your daily values pushed to the max….  providing you with the boost   you need to work effortlessly throughout the day.

Some of the vitamins that  are  essential  and  should  be  consider  for          this   “super duper”   vitamin   packed   immune   function.   With  the  daily  value  200 mcg of selenium which provides a strong basis  for the immune system to function properly. Selenium  deficiencies  can  lead  to  impaired immunity,  increased incidences  of  cancer  and  susceptibility  to  viruses.   Also  another  vital   feature  in  a  “super duper”  immune  system,   is  also  adequate  levels  of  glutathione  and  depleted selenium levels will render glutathione levels ineffective.

Then you have to consider a  1, 2, 3, punch of antioxidants vitamin A,           C  and  E.  Vitamin A  increases  the activity  of  white blood cells, which    attack and destroy infected cells of  the body.  While providing support         to  the  immune system  by  maintaining adequate levels  of  circulating immune cells.  Specifically,  the T- cells,  often referred to as the  fighter     cells. Vitamin A also protects your eyes,  intestines,  urinary tract  and  respiratory system.

Secondly, vitamin C also known as ascorbic acid is essential  for the formation of  adrenal hormones  and  production  of  lymphocytes.  The adrenal hormones are important  for protection against infections. Also vitamin C  stimulates the production and function of neutrophils, a type        of white blood cells that destroys bacteria. Anybody that smokes should always consider supplementing with 1000 mg of  vitamin C.

Thirdly,  vitamin E  is an antioxidant  that  prevents  the  formation of reactive oxygen molecules,  which permit  free radical damage. Vitamin E acting as a scavenger of toxic free radicals that damage otherwise healthy cells,  vitamin E  is  one  of  the  bodys primary antioxidants.  Antioxidants serve protect healthy cells in the body and vitamin E is an integral part of the body’s defense system.  Serving to  enhance  those  antibody  activities specifically T cell  functions of   fighting infectious disease.

The B vitamins:  while  there  are  eight  B vitamins in all,  B6  and  B12 specifically  impact  the  immune system. Since  vitamin B6  is  important  for  fat  and  protein metabolism, a deficiency  causes  altered  metabolic processes.  Low  levels  of   vitamin  B6  can  lead  to  reduced  activity  of  white blood cells necessary  for  fighting  infections in your body.

While  vitamin B12  plays an important role in your body…. as we age  levels diminish because of our body’s inability  to absorb  this key vitamin  as well. Vitamin B12 is important for it’s role in cell growth, division and  also responsible  for  it’s ability  to  help  the white blood cells to destroy infectious organisms. Also Vitamin B6 is important  for development  and maintainance of a healthy immune system, and a deficiency can also lead   to a shrinkage of  the thymus, a critical immune system organ.

Another key aspect is  Telomerase Activity of  a human cell,  which can         be  compared  to  as  a  wick  in a candle.  Once  that  wick  in  the candle is shortened the candle burns out  and  it’s life expectancy with it.  According  to Dr. Barry Sears,  you can maintain high levels  of  omega – 3   fatty acids  in your blood for a longer period of time; it appears that you get decreased telomere shortening and this should help you live a longer healthier life.

Telomore activity has been measured  in  a  wide variety  of  cancerous   activity and  non – cancerous tissue types.  With a vast majority of clinical studies having shown  a direct correlation  between it  and  the presence of  cancerous cells. Telomerase  plays  a key  role  in  cellular immorality  and tumorigenesis. Telomerase is activated in  80 – 90% of  human carcinomas,  but not in normal somatic cells, therefore, it’s detection holds promise as a diagnostic marker for cancer.

Cancer Awareness

As Solitarius.org  trends  and  more  visitants  enter  into  this  website          finding  the  information  they’re looking  for an spread the word to all of their friends.  In  the  future  I would  like to  turn  this  part of  the website      into  a  blog space  for visitants to  come  and  tell  their stories.  What I’m looking  for are  stories having a successful conclusion concerning cancer.  So anybody knowing anyone that has became a  cancer survivor  feel  free to  tell  them  to  leave  a  comment  at  the  end  of  Cancer  Patient  Forum.  About their experience, which doctor  and  hospital  they  used.  It will be posted with there name and approval at the end of  the blog.

Throughout  life ….as you grow  &  realize certain  things…. that  being,  things usually happen  for a reason and GOD has a reason  for everything  he  puts  you  through.  To me life is about learning  from those that come into your life.  Also when your out n’ about…. it never seizes to amaze me how miraculous you run into past acquaintances by happen stance. They just show up…  when your in the same place in time and they usually just happen to deliver a message to you…. that you were curious about.

In the early years of my adult life…. I incorporated alot  of  travels into    those years with  “no”  regrets today that I did  just that.  Today  with  the Corporate Vagabonds making  first class citizens  second rate people  and    turning the country into something  third  world.  While  also sucking  the American Spirit  out  of  people.  While high school grads are  being  force    into teaching  and  the medical  field  in  record numbers.  I always cringe when  I  hear the  horror stories….  they’re  interviewing  for  jobs  having 500 to 600 applicants to beat out  for one position.

While the Southern States  are  being overtaken by illegal immigrants          (12 Million according to Marco Rubio.)  As I hear stories that even some of the neighbors in Cincinnati, they live 12 on top of each other in houses with pitbulls  in  the  yard  (a Red Flag here)  while taking over the trades|which trades I wonder?  I’m all about foreign influence…. being that they’re here legally with good intentions…. it makes  for a tremendous melting pot!!!!

However,  in Greece …. without 12 million illegal immigrants  enrolled upon  their dismantled Universal Health System  which  will  put  a  heavy burden  on One Nation Under God.  When it appears to me…. that the only reason our  Government  with  their  infinite  wisdom….  allowing this  so they can  empower States like California, Colorado and Florida into their  mighty way  of  thinking. This  is  all  fine  until  it  all  back fires  and  the  Goose  Laying  The  Golden Egg  Is Dead and Gone!!!!

Traveling as you go through life makes for interesting times especially  when your young.  Within those wonder years …. I can still remember the people talked to and what was said.  I’ve  probably talked  to  over 10,000  people in my life and I never met a person that didn’t teach me something.  However,  most  can  allow  themselves  to  be  shut off,  shut in,  thinking they’re better then or know more than the other person. With an attitude like that… they lose out  on the real spice of  life.

Within everything you can  find criticism  and  criticism in everything is human nature,  however,  what  I  just  typed  in  those last  four paragraphs should  fortify  your belief  in cancer prevention. What I  forsee in the  future is a medical health disaster ready to rear it’s ugly head in denial. When you study human anatomy which I have  for the logic of this website.  It  amazes me  how  the human body organs works in unison…. with  the  thought  that the brain has a protective barrier preventing toxins  from entering into it is  phenomenal in it’s own right.

Another part of  the human anatomy that’s interesting is how it repairs itself  during mini heart attacks.  As  blood  “back flows”  into vessels to help feed  the  heart during these mild heart events.  Also  interesting  is  that  the  “severity” of heart attacks. When you think what might kill one heart attack patient…. might not even phase the next…. it’s all based upon your tolerance to pain and staying positive throughout the event.

Still another phenomenon is how DNA replicate themselves…. to form a whole  new  you  by  the  end  of  the  day.  My  point  being consuming a well rounded nutritious diet,  regardless of body mass index;  can prevent cancer by keeping the immune system going strong and  in working order.  It’s also the  ORAC  values  of  antioxidants, vitamins, minerals  or  supplementation that helps you stay healthy through your Golden Years.

Within  Cancer Quick  Facts  @  Solitarius.org being what is and stated that prevention might prevent treatment. It’s pay me now or pay me bigger later, however, as you scroll throughout the 13 pages of  useful archives. Or it’s also possible just to click onto the month thats highly effective also.  It’s still amazing in it’s own right what content the older blogs have and what I learn each time I visit them as a refesher course  for cancer research.

With my initial aim  of over  a  year and one half  of  getting this website going and headed in the right direction. Some of the highlights of Solitarius is my newest “top tag”  18 Major Types of Cancer.  Which provides  some  of  the  better website  on the internet  for each type.  With  some  of  the  better Medical Institutions to seek  for those treatments. Also another personally like  “blog post”  Revolutionary Procedures  with youtube videos detailing medical procedures takes some of the stress away  from not knowing.

With  me  knowing  this  website  the  way  I  do  and  how  to navigate it.       I  feel  the  visitant  should  checkout  the  Hot Tips  for  July  Blog Post Map.  That details some  of  the preventives in your diet with another highlighted blog  post  An Ounce of Prevention  having  information  in  it  about Utah’s  “awesome”  low rates  of  cancer incidences… which leads the country.  Yet another tale is the  American Amish  versus  Native American  which  rates high amongst my list of  favorites as well!!!

The archives which has  13 pages  of  rolling thunder having implanted      in it, blogs like Connecting the Dots that will take you to some of the better treatment facilities in the United States and abroad.  With  a  full  array  of Integrative Medicine  and  Conventional Treatments thats out in the world today  (MD Anderson being world renown.)  My  feeling  being  that  going abroad for treatment might be obsolete. We in the United States , however, need to start  finding ways to make health care more affordable.

Chemistry Of Cancer

Finding Cancer Quick Facts is defining how carcinogens affect DNA and the best way to do that is try to understand how cigarette smoke influences DNA. Therefore we must understand the sequences of events that leads from  smoke inhalation to formation of  a tumor many year or decades later.  One of  the  initial  and  most  crucial events  is damage  of  the  genetic materials (DNA) by a cigarette smoke carcinogen.

This  damage  can  under  certain circumstances  be  corrected… by DNA repair mechanisms.  However,  if  not  repaired,  these  cells  will  attempt to duplicate their  DNA  during normal cell division;  but  are  than impeded by the damage  and  will carry out an error – prone duplication process leading to gene mutations (changes on the gene.)

Such gene mutations are  found  many years later  in  the  DNA of  lung tumors. Gene mutations are particularly harmful “if”  they occur in genes that controll cell division rates  or  genetic stability.  According to current thinking,  a  number of  genes  need  be mutated  or  functionally  disabled before  a  normal cell loses all normal growth control mechanisms  and  is brought into a path of uncontrolled cell division and eventually leading to   tumor growth.

Gene mutations have been found in genes such as p53, ras and p16 at a relatively high  frequency  in  human lung cancer.  One  of  these  cigarette smoke carcinogens implicated in the development of lung cancer that also   is implicated in the development of  lung cancer is benzo[a]pyrene. Since   benzo[a]pyrene is not the only carcinogen found in cigarette smoke and   p53 is not the omly gene that gets damaged by these compounds.

The theme  of  DNA  damage  is  caused by a number of  cigarette smoke carcinogens, which genes  and  which positions within genes are targeted is anybodys guess.  However,  what  is  known  is that cigarette smoking is the number  one  cause  of  death  in  the  United  States  yearly.  Not  only,  does smoking cause 30%  of  all cancers;  but also,  responsible  for  diseases  and other illness (Emphysema, COPD and heart disease.)

Keys to Success

With everything floating around in the precious air we breath and buried  in the ground we walk today.  It’s  no wonder we have the massive epidemic of chronic disease we have in this country today.  Also with this Obamacare scare being what it is and fear that premiums will double by the end of 2013. We should all  be  concerned  with…. what  is  causing cancer  and  can do to   prevent this dreadful disease  from happening in the  first place.

When one has cancer it’s always  fruitful to know which doctor would be  best qualified  to  handle the particular type  of  cancer you have.  However, what would be more beneficial is to figure out ways of not getting cancer in the first place.  Througout this project of searching  for the cause  and effect of cancer and what really happens inside of your body.

It always somehow shifts back to chronic inflammation and thats not     the  type that  one gets  from banging your  finger  with  a  hammer.  Acute inflammation  is  the  initial  response  of  the body to harmful stimuli  and  achieved  by  the  increased  movement  of  plasma  and  the  leukocytes (especially granulocytes) from the blood into the injured tissue.

A cascade  of  biochemical  events  that  propagates  the  inflammatory response.  The thyroid  is a small gland in your neck just below the adams apple that is key to your good health  and  well being.  It  functions as the thermostat  for your metabolism,  determining the heat  and speed which each cell burns calories.

The  thyroid  also has  a  huge  impact  on  hunger  hormones,  belly  fat hormones and fat burning hormones. Everytime you put an inch on to the waist line, it’s a sign your thyroid could use a boost. That’s because excess pounds trigger reactions keeping the thyroid from functioning at it’s most efficient.  Which makes it increasingly easy to gain weight and difficult to lose those additional pounds.

The  most  important  thing  one  could  do  is  to detox  from  the worse thyroid blockers: processed junk  food, sugary product, saturated  fat and  excess starch.  These culprits which tend to be  found  in  foods overloaded with calories – also irritate our insides, causing inflammation throughout our bodies that can significantly impact activity of the thyroid and other body systems.

So  how  do  you  reduce  this  chronic  inflammation  in  your  body?    What you do is switch  from processed  foods  and  limit  consumption of    high sugar fruit and even healthy starches. Which can cause blood sugar surges that worsen inflammation.  At the same time you  flood your body with anti – inflammatory ingredients,  such as omega 3’s  from  fish  and  nuts.  Also including antioxidants  from vegetables and low sugar  fruits.

The  more  of  these  super  nutrients  that  you  get  the  more  quickly  inflammation  subsides.  Harvard  research  studies  have  found  as  few      as three strawberries @ day makes us  14% less likely  to  show  signs  of  chronic inflammation  and  being their is a connection  between chronic disease,  this theory just might be quite a health insurance policy.

Groundhog Day

While having a facebook friend the other night…  suggest  that  someday Americans  might  have  to  live  in underground bunkers to escape the every day trials  &  tribulations  of  living.  His  concerned  based upon  the nuclear  fallout  from  Fukushima,  Japan still spewing it’s radioactivity  and  getting in the global airstream.  The  first thought  passing  through  my  mind  was  Henry David Thoreau…. sitting  in  that  one   room  cabin  on  Walden Pond writing about his appreciation  for nature two years.

Then a vision popped  into  my mind…. living  a  life – like  a  groundhog     and coming out only once a year with a hope of seeing my shadow.  Caused by the  fear of  the Fukushima Nuclear Disaster  in  Japan  with  no  hope  of being able to see the Redlegs play baseball.  While his concerns of what the impact that disaster has on  global proportions.  As he realized my website doesn’t have anything in it concerning environmental issues.

So Before finishing up this websites archives with a main page. Detailing the highlights of this website.  Let’s touch on direct and indirect carcinogens and my belief you have to come in direct contact with a carcinogen or have a genetic predisposition to get cancer.  With environmental impacts a concern according to Erin Brockovich cancer cluster theory,  I feel you have to live in that immediate area to have it impact your life, however, you should always be made aware of your surroundings through research.

In  Hinkley,  California  still today there is a higher then normal cancer rate with also Cancer Alley in  Louisana.  Not to mention, Clyde, Ohio with  it’s cluster stemming  from a City Park and the area I consider home which also  has  a  higher  than  normal  cancer  rate.  People live… to  be  all ages and  while looking around…. neighbors  pass away  young  and  old a like. However,  the town I choose to live considered  a  Blue Zone in my opinion with all the 80+ year olds…. I see in the neighborhood.

Dr. Russell Blaylock states, ” that  farm workers  have a greater risk  for Alzheimers than does others  NOT  in that career path through their usage of pesticides.”  True  their  are  safer options  to  some pesticides,  however,  I’ve known   farmers whom have  farmed with  or  without cabs on their tractors. For some whom have farmed without cabs some have out lived their counter parts well into there 80’s. While there neighbors have died in their 60’s.

Also true…. it can be told,  that counties along… the Tributaries along the Mississppi and Ohio Rivers having higher rates of cancer.  What’s not to say, “their nutritional habits…. aren’t as well adjusted as those living away from the river  and  isn’t caused  from the river filth….  as some would have you to believe.  County – by – county comparsions…. are sporadic and even my own barber’s…. belief  that counties East  of  Interstate Highways….  cancer rates  are higher than those on the West side because of air stream isn’t so.”

During the March 28th, 1979 event at Three Mile Island Nuclear Disaster  in Pennsylvania. Those living near the plant, down stream in it’s chem trail, lung cancer incidences went up 300 to 400 percent and leukemia rates were up 600 to 700 percent.  While infant mortality rates and death rates among the elderly went higher during the early 80’s.  With most of the information being skewed, the Pittsburgh area to this day still stands vibrant.

With the  34 th anniversary rapidly approaching, I feel the event of that  day put nuclear power in it’s place.  However,  to  say  live…under ground in  a bunker  for me  just  isn’t  gonna  happen.  I’m  more  concerned  about vitamin deficiencies,  with  Vitamin D  being  peril… to  your  good  health. While  in  most  of  the  other  blog post…. I  think  the  alternatives  to  the prevention  and  NOT  treatment  of  cancer  is a viable option.

Signs Of Aging

The month of  February should prove interesting as I put a new twist          on Solitarius with this blog post being the foundation for those blog post.  My Goal:  is to take this website…. in a whole new direction while putting the  visitants  in  the  perfect  place….  to  learn  cancer prevention  though awareness.  What I would like to accomplish…. is build upon the building blocks  within  this blog and show how the process of aging can  promote   the chronic illnesses we contract in our “Golden Years.”

Whether reading…. Dr. Mercola’s spew on Artifical Perservatives like Brominated Vegetable Oil thats used as key ingredient in artifical citrus flavored drinks  being  responsible  for it’s slightly  “cloudy”  look  these  beverages have. The main problem is that it’s fat soluble and builds – up       in tissues,  whereas,  a 16 ounce soft drink with brominate vegetable oil contains  appromiately  2mg of  bromine.  Which  studies  with  animals shows decrease levels of “good” cholesterol to myocardial degeneration.

Or watching YourHealthTV with Dr. Richard Becker and having his note worthy guest daily. For insistence Dr. Russell Blaylock being on a soap box over  vaccines,  mercury,  cadium,  aluminum  and  fluoride.  It  makes  me  wonder about the validity of it all,  whom is testing what for our safety and health. When you hear high levels of mercury in vaccines causing  toddlers (1:150) badies being Autistic it makes ones mind do back flips for research.

When Dr. Blaylock  also gets in his spew over  farmers having the highest levels  of  Alzheimers due in part…. to  the  use  of  neo-nicotinoid pesticides, which is causing the thinning of the bee population. It makes you wonder if  we are living  is living right.  Then  you  also  think  are  “Penial Institutions” being filled above capacity because of the excitotoxins in street illegal drugs and alcohol…. it makes the mind wonder.

Some of the most important pieces of the puzzle of aging are that some of  the  functional components  of  the  receptor systems,  decay  with  aging and disease.  Some  of  the  key components  are  glutamate transporters  and  it’s  relation  to  Lou Gehrigs DiseaseAlzheimers  and  Dementia. One must also consider the membranes effects  of  lipid peroxidation products,  membrane fluidity,  effects of chronic inflammation on the glutamate|free radical cycle, stress hormones and excitotoxicity.   Inflammation Fighting Foods..??

Also the role of insulin excess… on the eicosanoid system;  or the detailed  physiology  of  the  glutamatergic system,  knowledge of  the pathophysiology and biochemistry of  the neurodegeneratve diseases increases  when we  age  and  this  connection  of  excitotoxicity  has  become  stronger.  Which can be  said,  is especially so with the inter relationship between excitotoxicity – free radical generation.

Not only,  as  the  brain  ages…. it’s iron content increases  making  it  more susceptible to free radical generation, but also, aging changes the blood brain barrier,  microvascular changes leading  to  impaired blood flow,  free radical mitochondrial injury to energy gernerating enzymes, DNA adduct formation, alterations in glucose and glutamate transporters. With this said, these free – radical and lipid peroxidation induced alterations in the neuronal membrane all act at making the aging brain increasingly susceptible to injury.

Several factors of aging…. have  been  shown…. to  magnify  this  process.  Over  a  lifetime  of   free radical activity  and   injury  due  to  chronic stress, inflammation &  infections,  traumas,  impaired  blood  flow,  hypoglycemia, hypoxia and poor antioxidant defenses secondary to poor nutritional intake. The nervous system is insignificantly weakened and made more susceptible  to further excitotoxic injury.

There  are  a  growing number  of  clinicans  and  basic scientist  who  are convinced  that  a  group  of  compounds called excitotoxins play a critical role  in the  development  of  several  neurological  disorders  including  migraines, seizures,  infections,  abnormal  neural  development,  also certain  endocrine disorders,  neuropsychiatric disorders,  learning disorders in children (ADD), dementia,  AIDs,  episodic violence, lyme borreliosis, hepatic eucephalopathy, and especially neurodegenerative diseases, such as ALS,  Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimers & Huntington disease and olivopontocerebellar degeneration.

WE  know  “how”  that a loss of neuronal energy generation is one of the early changes  seen  with  the  neurodegenerative diseases.  This occurs long  before clinical disease developes, However, even earlier in a loss of neuronal glutathione functional levels.  So  “why”  is this important:  glutathione levels are  strong  indicators  of  a  strong  or  weaken  immune  system  leaving  you susceptible to disease.

So What Are Excitotoxin?  These  substances  usually  acidic amino acids    that react with specialized receptors in the brain, in such a way as to lead to destruction of certain types of neurons. Glutamate one of the more common known excitotoxins,  however,  there are over seventy known;  while another popular MSG is the sodium salt in glutamate and aspartame is also known to cause the brain harm.

So how could a normal substance…. that is used by the brain…. harm it? This is because glutamate….  as a neurotransmitter exists in the extracellular fluid only in very, very tiny  concentrations – – no more than 8 to 12uM.  When the concentration of this transmitter rises above this level, the neurons begin to fire abnormally at higher concentrations; and the cells undergo specialized processes of delayed cell death, excitotoxicity (they are excited to death.)

While food additives are probably not direct causes of neurodegenerative diseases, they may well precipitate these disorders and certainly worsen their pathology as will may well shall see. So it may well be that many people with a propensity  for  developing these diseases,  would have never developed a full blown disorder;  had it not been for…. exposure  to  high levels  of  food borne excitotoxin additives.

Obundlecare

As  you read  through  Solitarius  there  is  a  great  amount  of  information  about   nutrition  for  the prevention  of  cancer.  Plus  finding the best doctors  for that  type of  cancer  you  have,  that can help you when dealing  with  the side effects of the treatment  for  that  type  of  cancer.  Especially when it comes to chemotherapy and supplementing for that type of chemotherapy. With the most intriquing aspect chemo sensitivity testing which is indeed very important.  When  you’re  told  your  going  to  need  30 courses of chemotherapy it’s always best to know….  which  combo of chemo  would  be  the  most cost effective.     (Finding Affordable Health Care…. ehealthinsurance.com)

Being cost effective is what it’s all about ~ with Obamacare being a full array of new regulations, rules  and  taxes.  What it’ll do is make business people think twice about returns on investments while trying to figure out reasonable  estimates  or  calculate  future  cost.  As  our  national  debt  is over $15 trillion and growing, what this astronomical sum of a borrowed amount will do… is have us all  feeling a pinch   (Healthcare.Gov)

What Obamacare and this constitutional trespass will bring is another     $1 trillion  bill  for the  next generation  to  spring  for  as we continue in a death spiral of 2:1 ratio of providers versus survivors.  However what  we Americans are  finding out that  fully loaded the real price  for Obamacare may be have  a  price tag  in  the  vicinity  of  $2 trillion dollars.  What this additional cost  of  Obamacare might do… is push us toward insolvency.

Everybody looks only at their own situation,  however,  for the most      part we need to take a better look collectively.  When you see  a  country falling  further  behind  with  falling  wages,  shrinking  tax  base  and  a broken  health  care  system.  We  have  to  ask  ourselves  can  we  afford Obamacare  ~  in it’s presence stance.  Why be concerned with terrorism when  we  will  do  ourselves  in.  Within  Margaret I. Cuomo  M.D.  book          A World Without Cancer comes these excerpts.

When  then President Richard M. Nixon waged war on cancer  in  1971,     which impacted  2 out of every 3  families  in the United States  or  650,000 Americans was diagnosed with cancer.  In 2012  with the  N.C.I.  fiscal  year being what it was  $2 billion dollars  for  research  and  another  $1.3 billion was spent for advancement in treatments. This doesn’t include that in 2010 medical expenditure associated with cancer was estimated at $124.6 billion.

By 2020 that amount is expected to raise anywhere from between $158 billion and $207 billion. So we must ask ourself are we getting our moneys worth  before  throwing  even  more  money  at  the  situation.  Since  1987,  the  Ovarian  Cancer  Screening  Research  Program  at  the  University  of Kentucky’s Markey Cancer Center has screened 37,000 women  and  found 500 lesions of concern and determined with further testing that 60 women were proof positive for cancer.

Also with other various cancer medications and vaccines that are under clinical trial and under review by the FDA as  of  2011. Drug cost will almost certainly continue to soar, while from 1996 to 2005 drug company spending in consumer advertising increased 330 percent;  from $985 million to $4.24 billion.  When physicians  were  surveyed  65 percent  felt  the  ads  confused their patients  and  75 percent  felt  that  patients believed the drug would be more effective then it actually was.

When you look at all the details my major concern being are they really looking to find a cure for cancer or to be super pill sales people.  When  you consider that Pharmaceutical Companies,  also “woo” physicians with gifts dispensing $18.5 billion in free samples in 2005. While another $7.2 billion was spent that year on various  forms  of  marketing and promotions…. it’s no wonder for those being treated…. thinks it’s a con game by con artist.

Much  of  these  practices called  “detailing”  in which pharmaceutical representatives make sale calls to physicians offices. Ostensibly intended    to educate providers detailing slide –  overt medical practices to help them generate  profits  for  the Big Pharma.  In a sense making physicians drug pushers, my aunt says, “she has lived to be in her 90’s because she refused every pill they have ever wanted to give her since her 70’s.

The pharmaceutical industry is interested in profit only, they may talk research; but much  of  what they do  is  persuade physicians to push their products, explains the  Mt. Sinai School  of  MedicineDr. James Holland. An article  in the Journal  of  the  American Medical Association  called the “Financial Conflict of  Interest With an Impact on Treatment.” What  needs   to be done is to advocate more stringent regulations…. to modify a host of standard promotional practices for reimbursement for travel expenses??

What  Dr. Larry Morton M.D.  at  the  Evelyn H. Lauder  Breast  Center at  Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York  whom  is a proponent of cancer prevention  through  nutrition, lifestyle  and  more  research  in  that  area. While he’s opposed to a treatment focused approached  of  treating  cancer after the  fact.  It’s my own opinion:  we need  to  change that  more  of  the same thinking so we will can get a different outcome.  Instead of throwing more  money  at the problem while allowing lobbyist in Washington D.C.      to waddle and throw more money at something that doesn’t cure cancer.

As we currently watch this scenario….  being played out in Greece with    that country hovering on the edge of  bankruptcy because bacisly  of  their Universal Health Care System. What could happen in Europe…  is that the rest of the EuroZone will be there to help bail them out. While  here  in  the   United States ~ nobody will come running to our aide… those that do will expect interest on their investment  (Frances Market Oriented System!!)

Another profound fallacy of Obamacare is allowing  for abortions to be   paid  by  all  tax  payers.  With  the  divide  of  United  States  Citizens that believe in abortions. While taking the responsibility  out  of  the  hands  of  those  that  should  be  held accountable  for  their own actions.  While on  January 22, 2013 marked the 40 th Anniversary of Roe versus Wade.

Which was the supreme court decision… to make abortions legal in all      50 States.  Since that time…  what most Americans don’t realize is that the plaintiff in the case Norma McCorvey never had her abortion and today is an  active  pro – life worker.  Also  Dr. Bernard Nathanson, whom founded the largest abortion chamber in this country. Resigned  his  position as an abortionist and went on to produce pro life books & videos.

While since that unfaithful day,  Abby Johnson,  the  Former Director     of  a Planned Parenthood Abortion Chamber has turned  pro – life  activist and  wrote   about  her  trials  and  tribulations  in  a book,  “Unplanned,”  about her experiences as she  “Changed sides.”  The liberal media portrays abortion as a  “right”  and a  “choice.”   However  for others  whom  precieve abortion  as immoral who shouldn’t have the cost forced upon them.

Although abortions are legal,  majority members of our society identify themselves as pro – lifers.  Those numbers…. today are higher then anytime since Roe versus Wade went into effect.  Also the reality  of  the  situation is that many abortions involve some  forms  of  coercion.  As  more  and  more women whom have abortions are becoming involved in pro – life activity.

After 40 years and over 55 million abortions,  that  can  dull  ones public conscience to the beauty of child birth.  For the dignity of life, the tragedy of abortion,  before birth and the baby,  the mother and  for American Culture. We  must  do  a  reality  check  (abort73.com)  includes  pictures  of  preborn babies, methods of abortion and resources of assistance.

Both before and after abortions we must precede with drum beats about the  “inevitability”  of  becoming  “acceptible.”  Thereby,  pregnancy centers a bound  for  mothers  with  problem  pregnancies  which  were  founded  by those pro – lifers  just wanting to lend a helping hand. Giving those mothers whom have second thoughts about deliverence the opportunity to give their babies a chance of  life before death?
