The Must-See Moments From the Royal Wedding

21 Major Moments You Missed From the Royal Wedding

My only criticism of the Royal wedding was that it was not inclusive.

Meghan who has great charisma was clearly making a statement about her black heritage, however,  in my opinion, the minute you identify yourself by the color of your skin, you are part of the problem when it comes to racism. It would have been great for the couple to have made a NON-STATEMENT about her black heritage by having a Vietnamese Reverend, a Bangladeshi cellist, or a more diverse choir etc.

It was an opportunity missed to make a statement that we are all equal, race does not matter and everyone is welcome.

She made a beautiful statement that represented her life – her culture and religion. What a lesson from Song of Solomon about human love and God’s love.

I totally disagree with this. What is worst than a racist is one who ignores color totally. To say that race does not matter, it means you are ignoring the history of not just slavery but also types of racisms faced by all races. We are not equal. That’s the reality. It’s important to address that by putting those at disadvantage on a platform. That was the point of yesterday. Also I must point out that a normal black wedding would have a black reverend and a gospel and she has every right to celebrate her heritage on her wedding day.

But truth be told we are NOT all equal. WE ARE NOT PART OF A ROYAL FAMILY..

We are all part of the human race THOUGH and ALL (including Caucasians) have been persecuted at times in history.

However, we are not treated equally and that’s REALITY. Being disadvantaged because of your ethnic background is never acceptable, HOWEVER neither is positive discrimination.

Interesting statement… glass half full or half empty… but also remember that Princess Diana raised Harry and she was about equality and never saw color or race.. Harry has always felt comfortable and at peace with the black culture before Meghan come into his life and he doesn’t do anything to follow suit regardless of who you are.. THAT IS Harry’s thought process.. UPBRINGING THOUGH PRINCESS DIANA

Unfortunately that is not the times we live in. Always thought the term reverse racism, truly highlights the whole issue.  People are pushing color politics even when it doesn’t         fit the situation. Black lives matter will protest police brutality, but not if one black beats another black.  Race and religious politics are ingrained far too deep and help push small group politics for anyone that may abandon them. This is Shame really… because we are better than this, but it looks like we will still be seeing the same old stuff for many years       to come.

So far as I’m concerned, some people from an ethnic minority background are equally as racist as those “without color”.

I see nothing wrong with having friends, relationship partners based on certain racial preference… just like I see nothing wrong with having friends, based on certain religious, political preference or maybe it is just plain preference….it doesn’t necessarily have to do with hate or feeling that another race is inferior.. the minute your “preferences” are based on the color of someone’s skin, that is racism!!!

Having a preference for something has nothing to do with hate… racism is an ideology based on hatred and feeling of superiority!!

Is Much Like…  Are You a Ginger or Mary Ann Kinda Guy?

In my opinion, if you are a black person and only have black friends, you are not a racist.

Likewise with any other race.

But this issue is only ever highlighted when you are someone from a Caucasian background is hanging out with people of the same color. It’s so wrong. Racism is racism. The minute your actions are determined by the color of someone’s skin, is that truly racism.

And in my opinion, that is what the Royal wedding wasn’t about.

To be honest I thought it was about two people who love each other dearly, and was not about the color of the brides skin Or background.

The commentary during the wedding putting a lot of emphasis about her race was bad.
I do think the ceremony was really good actually and the singing of stand by me was great, the preacher was actually quite good to ( went on a bit long.)

I really do think people should be concentrating on there clear attraction and love for each other, and not concentrate on her background or the color of her skin.

But I do think its great seeing the ceremony embracing everything about both of them and should have left race out of the ceremony.  Why do we keep insisting on the great divide we have in the world today.  Just my opinion!!!
