The Cancer Whisperer

I remember back on September 3rd when I met Katie Cohen in another Facebook group and she was in a State 0f Confusion over the VF J016 Pro Breville Juicer being hard to find anywhere in the United Kingdom. When we started to research we found that in the U.K. Breville is known as (Sage by Heston Blumenthal’s). Learning quickly Katie was quick and instantly she had it on order `now that’s being proactive. After disease progression and severe kidney impairment, Katie felt like she was quickly running out of options, losing control and watching my prognosis shrink drastically.

Hence just a few days ago Katie message me and stated: Ken in the last few months I hit a really rough patch… I was inside tunnel with no light in sight.

Was on chemo and potentially dialysis, was angry with my doctor and basically thought I was just going to die soon. So after receiving the juicer which I use faithfully. I picked up a book that I read before but really read this time and I have found to be incredibly useful in those months and it gave me hope again. This book taught me how to take control of my treatment and expressed what felt right to me..

Seeing the bad making up for the good. Able to own up to your mistakes and working on it …. so you can have a healthy conscience. Realizing that life is way too short. Forgiving is easy knowing that only you can make things right. Having respect for others as you would want them to forgive you too. Refusing to make it right can have badly consciences that at a later time it will catch up with you.

I read The Cancer Whisperer by Sophie Sabbage and it has really helped me turn things around. She is a stage IV lung cancer survivor …. that had a very poor prognosis. The book shows you how move away from fighting the disease to working with it and figuring out a treatment plan that works for you. She isn’t telling you how to cure cancer, although there is great practical advice, but how to deal with it on an emotional level.
