Imbalance = Dis`ease

When we talk disease:

The thyroid is an “itty bitty’ gland hidden behind the Adam’s Apple that affects your     body in a big way.  Thyroid hormones regulate mood, memory, heart rate and so much more.  “The thyroid is also the superhero of metabolism,  determining how quickly you  turn calories and stored fat into energy,” notes Haylie Pomroy whose the author of Fast Metabolism Diet. Pomroy states anybody that wants great health should nurture their thyroid.

People should trade in foods that are inflammatory for those that have highly anti-inflammatory properties 9especially low sugar fruits, veggies, nuts, beans and some seafood.  Why is this important?  Turns out most of us are inflamed on the inside —             a problem triggered by junk food, hidden food allergies, toxins, even stress.

Hormones we release to fight inflammation end up blocking path ways that our hormones — so when you are fighting inflammation your thyroid struggles. Noting that weight gain, brain fog, and hair loss are common consequences. Another important factor gluten and other factors can set off a chain reaction in our bellies so intense that it actually leads to   an auto immune response where the body attacks the thyroid.

Thereby, opting for healthy alternatives like brown rice over white pasta, popcorn           over pretzels and tremendously support weight lost.
Good news; As the right diet makes inflammation subside, thyroid function increases       so we feel better and burn fat much faster. You may also lose the bloat while the body         is inflamed.

Then there’s Lori Brock, the Oregon grand mother 60, who began to skip Gluten,      avoided dairy  and opt for grass fed meat.  As she found substitutes that taste great.          She lost 25 pounds and two sizes and noted its the best she has felt in 10 years since thyroid issues began for her. Hence her doctor lowered her prescription drugs. And        she learned a valuable lesson; when you eat the right way, your thyroid heals and you   have a better overall happier life.

Healthy eating guidelines include with about 450 calories per meal, each including         high – quality protein, health fat, optional unprocessed gluten -free starch (oatmeal, potatoes and beans) with unlimited non starchy vegetables. Add healthy snacks and            1 -2 servings of low sugar fruit servings daily and limited added sugar to 12gs daily.

Also The Liver is one of the most important organ and the largest gland of the body weighing 1.5 kg.  It is located in the central position of the abdomen.  It receives 30 %           of  the blood every minute.  It has importance which is crucial to one’s life like storing       of vitamins,  sugar and iron to give body energy, controlling the production & removal       of cholesterol. While clearing the blood of waste products, drugs, and other poisonous substances. It also releases and important substance called “bile “which is necessary to digest food and absorb nutrients. The liver is such an important organ.. we can survive only one or two days but if it fails the whole system and thus body fails. It also helps in    the synthesis of plasma proteins such as albumin and clotting factors and purification       of the body.

The Importance of Having a Healthy Pancreas and Liver
Having a healthy pancreas and liver are keys to living a healthy life. Unfortunately,       poor diet, reduced exercise, and an increase in stress can put pressure on our liver          and pancreas.

Your liver and pancreas not only aid you with digestion, but they are a key part of          your body’s ability to detoxify itself. Both of these organs play a role in your body’s      ability to produce the hormones needed for a healthy body. It’s interesting to note           that having a pancreas and liver that are not functioning well can leave you feeling       tired, bloated, and like your digestive system is not working. All of this. . . makes it difficult, if not impossible, for you to go about your daily activities.

Before having their pancreas and liver examined, many people are perplexed about        why they have so little energy. Then they realize their poor diet, being under constant stress,  and not having significant hydration has led to them damaging their liver and pancreas.

Thankfully, there are things that you can do to improve the health of your pancreas        and liver, thereby improving your overall quality of life. Of course, while talking about   diet, it’s important to include good vegetables and other important nutrients. But what       if something is already going on with your liver and/or pancreas?

Easy Liver Detox
Want to dramatically reduce and change your metabolism in 28 days?
“All you have to do is clean out your liver,” insist Dr. Alan Christianson, N.M.D..               and author of The Metabolism Reset Diet.

Research has linked congested livers to stalled fat burning. Dr. Christianson developed      a simple cleanse for his patients that has became. . . .the basis of a massive clinical test. Tens of thousands of women participated with each dropping up to a pound a day and        5 1/2 inches from their waste.

‘When your liver is healthy your metabolism is healthy,” says the doc.

“It’s often the only difference between being over weight and being naturally thin.”
Many people don’t realize that the liver processes every calorie and chemical entering   into our system. Often in today’s world we throw so many calories and toxins at this       vital organ  it often can’t keep up and a logjam occurs.  Once that happens,  the liver struggles to turn food into fuel — and virtually everything we eat turns to fat.

Cleveland Clinic’s Mark Hyman M.D. states, a clogged a liver wreaks havoc on insulin. With levels so high the belly fattening hormone will soar high and it prevents stored fat from being broken down.  Plus  when all your fuel from calories  are being turned to fat and you’re tired all the time.  DR. C’s Metabolism resetting plan  simultaneously gives     your liver less to process while loading it with the nutrients it needs to cleanse and heal.

Step One: DR. C cuts calories while still giving you 90 grams of protein a day.                Why? fewer calories reduces the liver burden so it has time to clear blockage. And extra protein helps it speed clean and Dr. C emphasizes pea protein since studies show it has    an alkalizing effect the supports healthy liver function.

Step Two: Load up on liver cleansing vegetables. Micronutrients in plants, especially carrots,  parsnip,  celery and cruciferous vegetables are proven to enhance the livers own ability to unclog itself.  Also twice a day incorporate  aqua-faba which is made by soaking dry beans in water and save the liquid you usually discard. It’s a great source of resistance starch, a fiber-like compound that proven to slash belly fattening insulin by 73% and spike hormones linked to weight lost. Dr. C’s wife used the stuff also to shrink her waist by 1 1/2 inches!!!   Best Prevention method?

Supplements:

Milk Thistle Increases Glutathione Antioxidant Activity Glutathione is considered the body’s master antioxidant and vital for effective liver functioning. Milk thistle extract      has been shown to increase glutathione levels in the liver by up to 35 % and decrease oxidative stress.
Milk Thistle & Vitamin B6 Increase Glutathione. Dr. David Katz said that supplements  can help increase your Glutathione as well. Try taking
1.5 mg of Vitamin B6 every day and 200 mg of Milk Thistle every day. You cannot take Glutathione as a pill, but these supplements are a good option to help boost your body’s Glutathione.

Milk thistle extract not only prevents the depletion of glutathione induced by alcohol     and other toxic chemicals. Since the ability of the liver to detoxify is largely related to      the level of glutathione in the liver,  the results of this study seem to indicate that … Silymarin (Milk Thistle) – Silymarin is a milk thistle extract that nutritionally supports liver function. This highly active botanical formula protects the liver from free radical damage, increasing glutathione concentrations and superoxide dismutase activity.

The Chinese have used berbamine for centuries  to treat inflammation and related conditions, like rheumatoid arthritis. It’s a compound that comes from the barberry plant, an evergreen shrub also found throughout the warmer continents of the world (except for Australia). The flowers are a golden yellow or orange, and the berries ripen to either a deep red or blue-black.

Berbamine-focused studies have surged during the past eight years, because findings repeatedly point to this compound’s health-creating benefits. Notably, researchers have found that not only does berbamine aid with healing liver cancer, but it also has cancer-killing effects on certain lung and stomach cancers. It also appears to help with blood cancers, certain skin cancers, and an aggressive (highly metastatic) type of breast cancer. by targeting Ca2+/Calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3808882/

For the most part, berbamine can be ordered online as a supplement in powder form.    But, two comments of caution: For starters, don’t confuse berbamine with berberine, which is a similar chemical compound (and also has anti-cancer properties, for that matter).

Second, in spite of the fact that berbamine is so promising, it’s hard for me to urge this remedy on patients in Western countries because there’s no way to guarantee its safety     or purity. Sad to say, Chinese purveryors of herbs and natural medicines have acquired      a bad reputation.

So if you attempt to seek it out, be as picky and discriminating as possible (this would include not necessarily believing every testimonial you find on the Web).
